My husband and I wanted to go to Mexico for his 50th birthday. I had never used a travel agent before but I did this time and Alisa was so helpful and informative. I gave her a list of wants and she recommended the sun palace. It was exactly what we wanted. The staff were exceptional, especially Juan and Daniella. The food would bring me back again in a heart beat. The whole experience was fantastic.

This resort is on the smaller size which personally I loved. The food in every restaurant was top notch. Another bonus is how close it is the the airport. There was a variety of musicians in the bar and at the pool each day.

We can’t say enough good things about Sun Palace, Cancun. Beautiful facilities, great staff, super pools, great views and beach. Food could be slightly upgraded but overall it’s good. What is lacking are the number of restaurants,; they need at least one or two more restaurants and get rid of reservations only.

This resort pays so much to every detail to give you the most amazing experience. Staff is so attentive and friendly we had the best stay. The resort and grounds were always immaculate. I would definely go back.

Although the resort was nice, location great, staff were great, I was disappointed that when we asked at the time of booking if this would be appropriate for a mother daughter university grad trip and they said yes. They gave us a room with two double beds which was very accommodating but as soon as we arrived and were given the one hour introductory spiel of the various Palace properties and after having dinner in the restaurant, it was blatantly evident this was a couples only resort. We asked the manager at the sun Palace to move us to the beach palace and they did so with no problem whatsoever but unfortunately we had to pay for our transportation to the beach palace which I was perfectly fine with but they didn’t have an ocean view room available and I had paid extra for ocean view So needless to say that was very disappointing because this was my gift to my daughter for graduating from university and I wanted it to be special. Only go to the sun Palace if you are a couple not even two girlfriends unless you are partners because you will not feel comfortable . The beach palace was amazing I just wished we would have been advised at the time of booking that that would’ve been the better property because then we would’ve had our ocean view room and been there right from the start . On our return home Sunwing cancelled our flight after waiting in the airport for 11 hours sent us back to another resort that was A three star at best and they told us it was five star we basically slept woke up and went back to the airport the following morning . So that was a bit of a nightmare as well . Sunwing is terrible about communicating with passengers when flights are delayed or cancelled they keep you in the dark and just keep changing the departure time by 10 minutes every 10 minutes it was ridiculous .

Sunpalace is sophisticated but simplistic at the same time. Buffet is not Hugh like other resorts However the quality of the food is superior. The Italian restaurant amazing. Salmon, egg plant Parmesan, rack of lamb, deserts, out of this world. The oriental does sushi, Thai rolls, Pad Thai well. The snack bar provides great quality snack food, wings, tacos, falafel ( yummy). The beach (wavy)and pool are outstanding. Absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Service is outstanding This is a fun place but not a drunk loud atmosphere which we appreciated very much. The rooms were lovely however bathroom no privacy. Highly recommend

The hotel was five star especially because of the staff. We were treated so well and especially want to acknowledge Edher, who served us poolside. He was so professional and looked after our every need. The room was very nice with a lovely view of the beach. We loved the food in the breakfast restaurant. Our two favourites for dinner were the steak restaurant and the Thai restaurant. The night time entertainment was very good as well. We especially loved the magic show and the Michael Jackson shows. The size of the resort was perfect for us and we loved the adults only feature. A perfect place to spend our 35th Anniversary.

Pros for the resort: Service was outstanding! We could not have asked for anything better! Food selection and preparation was incredible. They were very willing to accommodate to requests. Anything to make us happy! Resort was extremely clean and well kept. From the restaurants to the bathrooms, everything was spotless. The resort is very small. Cons: We were asked upon arrival to upgrade our room so we could be close to the other couple we were traveling with. We had emailed before we left to request rooms beside each other. They had said they would do their best to do that. Although when we got there the rooms we had been assigned weren't even on the same floor. The only way to be close was to pay the upgrade fee. It was a little harsh considering we had just arrived. They try their very best with nighttime entertainment. But with is being so small there was very little nightlife. I would have loved to see some sort of sports bar....maybe even a pool table. Great resort over all!! Some of the best service I have ever had in Mexico! We would recommend this resort!!

Pushy at start to sell you more excursions and go for a presentation on other properties they own. Food not bad. Rooms not bad. Excellent location. Excellent staff. Shows not bad. However the variety of food on this resort is not as much as others. No open buffets for dinner which kinda sucks.

The grounds were clean well maintained. The grounds were rather small but beach was beautiful and can take long walks along the beach. The food and service in all areas was excellent. All very friendly.

Beautiful and very clean rooms also lobby and bar very well-kept. Excellent service from staff , very good variety in restaurants and food . The best all-inclusive resort I've ever stayed at. Would you recommend this to any couple.

Everything was superb and the staff at the hotel made it even more sensational. Every couple deserves a vacation like this. We'll be back again next year. The dining, the view, beach, rooms, spa, service and the pristine cleanliness made it a fabulous holiday.

Well-maintained adults only hotel close to the cancun strip. Easy access to shopping and nightlife with the public transit bus. Food was amazing everyday, although my absolute favorite was the Italian restaurant. The views from the room, restaurant, and pools was amazing. The sun rises right outside your window every morning. Because it is an adults only hotel, it tends to be very quiet in the evenings. They do provide nightly shows and some entertainment in the sports bar but most people head back to their rooms in the evening. In-room jacuzzi takes forever to fill but makes for an enjoyable relaxing experience. Rooms are VERY Clean and modern. Staff are superb on every level although I do recommend avoiding the timeshare presentation if you are not looking to spend your life savings. Entertainment staff were friendly and kept the fun going. Beach staff will set up your umbrella once you've picked your lounger everyday! Unlike other resorts, it was never difficult to find a lounger on the beach or by the pool. We did the chitchen itza and dolphin swim excursion with our resort credits. Both were well-run and very enjoyable. Palace resorts is the best experience I have ever had and I will definitely return in the future. We visited each of the sister resorts beach palace and moon palace and all were amazing. Moon palace is far and does NOT have a nice beach, but it still provides a great family resort experience.

Overall was very good but snack bar pool music was loud and irritating.. Should be turned down by 3:00 pm when you are trying to enjoy the ocean sounds Our room was above this pool. All rooms have a beautiful ocean view. Would have been quieter in another area of the hotel. Service and staff was excellent. Nightly entertainment was not very good.

Resort is ok not incredible as reviews suggest. Pools are small, swim up bar very small. Breakfast and lunch was good but diners aren't great. I expected a lot more "wow" factor. Beach is beautiful, and service on beach is amazing!!! So overall it's good not

We were looking for an adults only get away that was not a big resort but rather more quaint. Sun palace delivered this and much more. The staff are the best we have ever experienced in Mexico and this was our 6th visit. We were truly impressed by the kindness and genuine hospitailty. Especially Elfaga in the lobby bar. Jesus in the buffet and Omar in the buffet.

Very clean, friendly staff and GREAT beach!! Loved how small the resort was - we didn't feel overwhelmed with too many choices. Our view from our room was just beautiful. The amenties in our room were great as well!

Beautiful beach with very comfy beach beds, room was attractively decorated, food was good, resort credits were a bonus, staff were very accommodating and happy to provide great service. Would rather have a sitting/lounging area instead of the large in-room Jacuzzi in the middle of the room, and don't love the open concept bathroom. Had a concierge level room with a larger balcony, many of the concierge level rooms only have a small balcony with 2 chairs. Italian restaurant was our favourite, disappointed by the Mexican restaurant. Art of Wine event was wonderful. Enjoyed a massage, manicure and seaweed wrap at the spa. Great quiet adults only resort. Hotel was full but never seemed too crowded.

Sun Palace was perfect and upscale!. only downfall was the sun sets behind the hotel and beach by 4pm, but the food, the rooms, the staff, everything there was perfect, and I enjoyed some of the resort credits as well. yes I would love to go back and the value for the buck was great!
