Hotel grounds were amazing.. Beach was clean with lots of chairs for everyone.. Pool area was active friendly and fun with not too much noise.. Service was great everywhere.. Rooms were quite comfortable but noisy at the top floor.. Will be back if we can..

We traveled with a group of nine adults in their 60's and enjoyed our stay. Check in could have been a bit quicker, but it went smoothly. The electronic bracelets are a huge plus as you don't have to remember to carry your room key everywhere. The bracelet opens your door! ROOM We were in a regular room. The rooms are on the smaller side but comfortable. Everything worked well. Very nice towels and bedding. Our bath towels were changed daily when our room was cleaned. Lots of hot water. Our fridge was restocked during the week and coffee supplies were also replaced as needed. We had requested a top floor but were placed on the ground floor which was fine. We had a big iguana visit daily to sun himself on our patio. The room was mostly quiet at night although we did hear the drumming show one evening. We were in block 45. FOOD We found that the food was more than adequate with a good variety and theme days in both buffets. We ate lunch in the beach buffet every day. We also liked that you were greeted at the buffet entry and shown to a seat that was all set and ready. We have been to many resorts where you arrive to eat and cannot find a table or a cutlery. The serving staff were very attentive with bringing anything you requested and checked on our table many times. We did not like the a la carte reservation system at all. The line ups were crazy and just a waste of vacation time. You can only make 2 reservations for the week. The Fuji, Japanese restaurant was excellent. The chefs put on a great show and the food was fantastic. The Italian was okay, but nothing outstanding. BEACH The beach is very big with lots of trees. We found the entry to the ocean was bit rough and sand was quite course with bits of coral and rocks. Once in the ocean, the sand was smoother and the water was crystal clear. We saw lots of fish every day. The area is very popular for scuba and snorkeling and there were many excursions available. The big dock to the left of the resort was very active with boats coming and going. There are lots of chairs available on the beach but no umbrellas so spots under the shade of the palm trees were very popular. ACTIVITIES and ENTERTAINMENT There were lots of activities on the beach and at the pools everyday if you wanted to get involved. We only saw a couple of beach vendors during our stay. POOLS There are 3 main pools at the resort plus 2 smaller pools and they are always full of kids. There is a kids pool for kids 12 and under with a huge slide and fun water showers, but it was not busy at all. It seemed like the kids were always in the other pools and often spent their days in the pool with the swim up bar, taking over all the seats in the pool. They also took over the hot tub. This was a bit annoying and it would have been nice to have a designated adult only pool. The chairs and umbrellas around the pools were reserved early in the day, so if you arrived later, you were out of luck. BARS There was a nice beach bar but it would get very busy at times with a line up. We found going to the bar near the kids activity pool was a better option as it was very quiet. We did have beach service on a couple of days. There was also a sports bar near the main buffet which was a nice spot to sit before and after dinner. SMOKING There are a couple of smoking areas on the resort and we were pleased to find that the smokers were using those areas. We did not see anyone smoking on the beach or around the pools. I think people were allowed to smoke on their patios. SUMMARY Although this is a very nice resort, we likely would not return as it was more suited to families with kids. If there was an adult section, we would likely return.

The rooms were a mess the food was really really bad but the staff were nice , never going back. Broken tv broken mini fridge flooded room broken ac broken hot tub told it hasn’t worked for years. Entertainment was awful if it wasn’t cancelled . Sorry Allegro you need a change of management.

We enjoyed our stay here the ground's are beautiful the staff from the front desk were very friendly and helpful.The rooms are small but clean and beds are comfortable The food was good always something to eat. Breakfast and lunch were the best . Dinner time was abit of a hit and miss . But still ok if you got there early. Did not like the pool bar it's connected to the lunch area and service was very slow . So would go to the beach bar for drinks where they were fast and knew exactly how to make a good strong drink ! The beach was also ok alot of coral all around in the sand but plenty of chairs and lots of shade if that is what you were looking for .The cleaning staff was great ! big shout out to all the ladies that work so hard to clean all the rooms.Too be honest the entire staff at this hotel are great! Happy friendly and helpful. Entertainment is good at the shows and the entertainment staff at the pool are a lot of fun . We definitely enjoyed our stay will we be back you never know but we do love Cozumel.

This resort is not a five star but definitely a 4.5 star. Food can be improved! You can always find something to eat,repetitive menu for buffet! The resort grounds and rooms are beautiful. By far the beach is the best and very good snorkeling! The entertainment staff kept the vibe going for sure! Many games were played and shows were seen! Thank you Allegro for an amazing holiday! Carnival week was a hit!

Loved this resort. The beach is great with a beautiful candy bottom and the waves were very calm especially for our grandchildren. The kids pool was amazing .The food was good and the japanese restaurant was so much fun. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Our room was good and stocked daily with water, beer and soft drinks. We'll be back for sure!

The rooms were small and dated but very clean. King bed was comfy, sheets and pillows very clean. We really enjoyed our stay but don’t lose your wrist bracelet which opens your room. These are tied on and the staff member that tied mine and my wife’s on did not tie it well. We both had ours fall off and I lost mine. This cost me 1000 mx pesos.

We found the grounds beautifully kept. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Our only beef was trying to get reservations at the specialty restaurants. We arrived Thursday night and went to make reservations the next morning and there was nothing available expect 8:30 at night which is much to late. We were told to come Sunday morning to make reservations. We were first in line and couldn’t get a reservation at the Asian restaurant because there was 12 of us. We could get 6 one night at 6 o’clock and 6 another night at 8:30!, Needless to say we were very disappointed. As for the other restaurants we found the food very repetitious, pretty much the same stuff every day, especially at lunch! The buffet food was sometimes cold (scrambled eggs for example).Overall it was a very nice resort but they need to do something about their food!

The grounds were well kept and easy to get around the staff are very friendly and helpful the waitress at pool and beach are excellent and they were easy together along with the bartenders at the lobby bar did not seem so good as at the beach the food on the breakfast and dinner buffet was not kept hot lunch buffet was much better had Italian dinner and was not impressed overall this is a nice resort and easy to get around as a senior but the cold food is a strike against

The beach is beautiful plenty of loungers as well as the pools. Rooms are dated but comfy beds and linens. Staff are amazing very attentive and friendly. The grounds are kept extremely well very clean. Cons: not pleased with the food at the buffet. Usually cold lacking variety. The restaurant booking was frustrating,had to line up at reception desk to book daily for only 2 reservations permitted for 7 day stay. Only 3 restaurants to choose from. The Mexican was disappointing, food was cold and awful. Asian was good but hard to get into. The bar drinks were good and many choices. Mini refrigerator was stocked daily with soda, water and beer. I’d recommend but be aware that the buffet needs improvement was disappointed with that. Love the feel of a smaller resort.

A beautiful location, beautiful beach and great snorkeling right from the resort. The resort was perfect for our multi generation vacation. Small enough to walk easily and find each other. Lots of deck chairs available around the pools and on the beach, never had a problem finding shady or sunny spots to relax. Tons of activities for all ages pool and beach volleyball, pool games, cornhole, darts, bingo and so much more. A games room for evening fun and entertaining shows. Food was good, buffet was a bit repetitive but good and there was always a chef cooking a different fresh option each night. The a la carte meals were fantastic. Staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were small and a little dated, but kept clean and beds were comfortable. Each porch had hammock which was a nice touch. Cozumel airport was small and really easy to arrive at, only about 20mins to the resort.

We LOVE this Resort. We were pleasantly surprised with everything this Resort had to offer, beautiful manicured grounds, so clean on the grounds, pool area, beach area, restaurants and entertainment areas. Our room was located on the ground level of a 2 level unit. We could sit on our patio, surrounded by lush gardens and listen to pleasant music in the air. There was never a problem getting a lounger on the Beach, lots of them!! The beach was super clean, the water was crystal clear and blue. All the restaurants exceeded our expectations. We did not try the Italian restaurant, this time. I really can't say enough about this Resort, it was EXCELLENT and great value for your money. We will be back for sure and we don't say that very often. If you are thinking of here, Book it, you won't be disappointed.

This is a great little resort on a beautiful beach with crystal clear turquoise water. Great for swimming and snorkeling. Buffet food was always a good variety. The Oriental restaurant with tepanaki was absolutely fabulous and the staff are super friendly. If you are looking for a quiet resort to relax and enjoy the sun this is it. We will definitely be back.

We truly enjoyed our time at Allegro Cozumel. All staff were so friendly, especially the staff at Santa Rosa (the premium level area). Premium was worth the extra money: rooms closer to the beach and away from noise of night theatre and disco, access to Santa Rosa where we ate breakfast and lunch many days (less selection than the bigger buffets but more than enough to suit us AND in an air conditioned building) and a nice private pool/beach area with bar service. We also played cards in there a couple of nights, with AC and bar service. Fast and easy check in and they'll assist with your a la carte bookings. Oriental restaurant was so fun, we went twice! Henri and Carlos made us specialty coffees in the main buffet at dinner and Henri also treated us to Bananas Foster...yummy! Grounds are very well kept, rooms are on the smaller side but ours was very clean, AC worked well and we always had hot water & good water pressure. They also made different towel art each day in our rooms. Buffet food was average and sometimes only warm vs. hot, but always left full. Different dinner themes each night. We tried all of the a la carte restaurants. Definitely the Oriental was our favourite, followed by the Mexican. The Italian was good as well. We booked this resort based on it being one of the only affordable options in Cozumel and we would definitely return. Had some concerns based on some reviews we read but we really had no issues at all. Its location is great with beautiful ocean views, beach and sunsets. We will go back for sure!

The beach is impressive: sandy with gradual slope and mostly sandy bottom. Most of the time there was almost no waves - except for some days when the wind direction changed to northern. Food was very ordinary - limited options, however there was always at least one type of meat/poultry/fish + something at the grill station. Salad/fruit/desert stations were way better though - no complaints :) Nobody in our group was hungry after all :) The hotel is on the smaller side - which is what we liked - so there was no problem to find a chaise lounge on the beach or a table at the buffet. Maybe because it was the second week of December right before the holiday high season. The rooms are kind of smallish and I wish there was a chest of drawers and a larger closet to hang cloths. The dive shop has mostly short sleeved 2 mm wetsuits - that I found a bit too cold for December water temperatures - or maybe I'm too sensitive to cold :) - the diving instructors largely compensate for any equipment shortcomings though - all are knowledgeable guides and responsible professionals, very serious about divers' safety. For the price we paid I'd say this hotel is a reasonable value - we got what we actually expected. So I'm recommending this hotel to people who have adequate expectations (read my review above :)

Just got back from an amazing week at Allegro Cozumel. There was a group of 8 and we all loved the resort. The staff was amazing wherever we were from the rooms to the dining rooms and the entertainment. All such beautiful attitudes towards the guests. The beach was brand no problem finding a lounge chair there. The Asian a la carte was phenomenal. The chef put in a great performance and food was spectacular. This is definitely a place we will return to and we met so many couples that were on the 2 nd and 3 rd stay there.

We were at this hotel 10 years ago and what a different experience! Not for the good! The food is terrible when there was food. Always empty trays. A la cartes were booked up when we arrived already unless you wanted 9pm sitting. Had a group of 39 people and were told they couldn’t put us all together for just one night. Took 3 days of begging and then finally Pedro accompanied our group. It was a 60th wedding anniversary so we wanted a special dinner. The grounds are pretty and beautiful beach. Shower runs out onto our floor so we had a giant puddle into the room every morning. Bar staff is really friendly. Front desk staff not so much

We were there for one week through Air Canada Vacations. The resort itself is beautiful. The grounds are very well taken care of. There is a huge kid's fun area with a series of pools. Beach is smallish but accommodates the guests well. The main pool is not huge but functioned very well for the number of guests. We six had a great time. Food quite good. Loved the Italian and Japanese style restaurants. Mexican was just ok in our books. However, the main buffet and lunch buffet had many Mexican dishes on offer and were very good, especially the pork and bacon. The woman who made the eggs to order every morning was amazing and moved the line along very efficiently. Drinks were fantastic and there was certainly no skimping on alcohol. Cozumel itself is not boring. We rented a jeep for the day from HTL that they brought to us and picked up 24hrs later. Cost was 55US plus 25US gas. Drove around the island on the one road and stopped at various gorgeous beaches and look outs. The activities are fun and hosted by a fun team. Some of our group participated in many of the activities and had a great time. The reception team gad a few difficulties on our arrival finding new rooms for us away from the kid's area. Thry came through in the end. When our younger couple decided to get married on the beach, all stops pulled to make it happen, courtesy of Aeleen. Super service from all involved in this very emotional and joyous event. It was not legal but symbolic. We zoomed into San Miguel to buy dresses and shirts. Thanks to Lola at her shop of the same name on the main road facing the water, we found a wedding dress and 2 dresses for the ladies. If you find yourself on Cozumel please visit Lola. Beautiful dresses made on the premises. She can make something the same day and deliver it to your resort! She's worth the visit for lovely summer dresses, tops and pants all made by Lola. All in all a great trip. I would recommend the Allegro highly, especially if you have young children.

Nice small resort. Shout out to Fernando at the pool bar and Sandra and the other young maitre d. Thank you for your big smiles every single day and for accommodating our big group of 12! The oriental a La carte is fantastic! Unfortunately they only guarantee you one a la carte during your visit. This was disappointing as we noticed they were never full. Front desk staff were ok. The manager should help out when he can though. Overall nice resort.

We loved this resort and thought the size was perfect for our group of 13. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the hammocks are a nice touch! The food is very good, the only problem is getting into the specialty restaurants. We could only get reservations at 1 of them the week we were there. The pools and beach area are beautiful and it’s never a problem getting lounge chairs. The drinks are great and bartenders are friendly, especially Fernando. The grounds are kept immaculate and check in and check out were fast and easy. I would visit this resort again!

Went to the Allegro Cozumel with a group of 16 people. We all had a great stay. Food was good, loved the specialty restaurants. Staff were friendly and always helpful. The rooms are dated but comfortable. Beds were perfect. The beach was wonderful.

Hotel is awesome. Beautiful grounds, pools and beach outstanding, excellent food, great staff, lovely accommodations. Got premium room. Access to Santa Rosa Bar fabulous. Excellent service all around. 4th visit to Allegro Cozumel. Never disappoints

Overall this hotel checked all the boxes , very clean , super friendly staff and beautiful grounds . Food is limited in selection but what they do have all tasted great . Smaller resort , easy to navigate . Rooms are on the small side so if sharing with more than 1 might not be good room selection for you .

Hotel was very nice, good for families, great water park for kids. Pretty and clean hotel. Hammocks were very nice option. Rooms very very nice. Good size beach. Ok a la cartes. Food like most places was ok not great. Only bad was the water was terrible smelling.

First of all, Cozumel is such a beautiful island. The weather was fantastic and the atmosphere is so subdued. The hotel Allegro is not a large resort Which was great fir us with kids and an elder. Food was very good. The beach was beautiful. But there were weedy areas. Service was great! Overall I would recommend this resort for a nice family get away!

This trip was exactly what we needed for my husband, myself and our newest addition, our 2 month old daughter. We loved the beach, sun and diving. We will however not be back ever again as the food was atrocious. We didn’t starve or get sick, but it really was pretty bad. The only thing to eat at lunch was (cold) burgers and wedges/fries. Salad was pretty good. That’s it! The other schlopp was awful. Coffee machine constantly broken. And far far too many people needing to eat In one place. The drinks however were fantastic. We arrived at the resort around 11 am big no rooms would be ready until 3! None, zero. There is no where else in the resort with AC. So our 2 month old started overheating by 1pm. No room available. They had a small office space they allowed us to sit in that had ac. Finally at 3 the front staff allowed us to be the first to recieve our room. Still had to wait an hour for the crib to be delivered and finally our baby could lie down for a nap at 4pm (we left our house at 1am for the flight). Air canada was disappointing, on the way home they only came around with drinks during times of turbulence, and refused to serve hot drinks because of it. Then we arrived in Canada and did not get any information on where to pick up our stroller and car seat. We found an air canada rep who told us to take an elevator up and wait. We did. Someone (luckily) noticed our stroller and other people’s walkers on the empty elevator, the doors opened with our expensive equipment but no air canada staff to unload!!! Horrible. No one let us know anything about coronavirus recommendations. So we of course stopped to eat/use the bathroom on the way home not knowing the government had asked us to self quarantine until late that night! Yikes.

Overall we had a great time, wish the kids / families that were there had utilized the kids pool more than they did. There are 3 pools, a kids pool, a more family oriented pool, and a bigger pool with swim-up bar/entertainment - we took this to be the adult pool, still lots of kids around/loud families Also wish there was a sign / rule about “reserving chairs” at the pool. Frustrating when people would reserve chairs, one day someone had 3 chairs reserved we were at the pool for 6 hours and they didn’t show once!! There needs to be a rule in place that it is not allowed - this is what we were told upon arrival. Otherwise, they need more chairs by all pools and on the beach. Food was good, the Japanese A La Carte is a must - hibachi grill! The Mexican was also thebomb.com. Buffet had different “themes” every night/morning. Breakfast was mediocre - bacon was almost always empty, but was still decent! Omelette bar was our go-to every morning. Pools were clean, the waitors/staff by the pool always made sure our drinks were full, pool was spotless and that we were taken care of! Overall great stay! Would recommend to families with young kids, maybe not young couples on honey moons or older couples looking to relax - lots of kids running around, parents occasionally yelling at them, splashing, jumping, etc.

The buffet was horrible at every meal. There was nothing to pick from And a lot of the food was tasteless! No alcoholic beverages were served before noon! They said it was a Mexican law! Not even Mamosa with breakfast! Even though we paid for all-inclusive we had to go across the road to an outside restaurant to have meals and alcoholic beverages! Rooms were very dated you could see daylight around the door in our room even when it was closed. The shower door would not close and there was a crack on the bathroom floor! In the seven days we were there there was only one night of Nightlife. The rest of the time the outdoor theatre had movies for kids. Nothing for adults to enjoy. All this being said the resort was clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating!

My wife and I booked a two week dream vacation. The reviews do not do the Allegro justice. There were some minor issues but stuff happens, that's life. get over it. The resort was amazing, saw some wildlife and the snorkeling right off the beach was beautiful. Unfortunately, I experienced a medical emergency four days "in" and had to leave on the next available flight, thanx to Francisco (Air Canada Rep), that was achieved. My left eye had to be eviscerated, and when I heal we hope to go back ASAP.

This resort will not serve alcohol until NOON.. they had a notice on the bars stating it was Mexican law ! This was false so I was told, it is only this resort that came up with this rule!!! so I will not be returning here in the future.. the grounds and rooms are nice. The food was repetitive with little variety.

I stayed at this resort from January 31st to February 7th with my mother (64) and son (19 months). Don't let the other reviews fool you. The rooms are on the smaller side but you are on vacation so shouldn't be spending much time there! The beach is beautiful, we spent every morning there playing in the sand and surf with my son then in the afternoon went to the quiet pool and kids pool. The food was great, sometimes there was a bit of repetition but it was always warm and there was always something tasty. The few drinks that we had were tasty! We didn't get to any of the shows at night so I cannot comment on those. The grounds were beautiful and you always saw the gardeners working hard. All the staff we encountered were super friendly and always willing to help. I wish we were still there!

Rooms were too small no separate bathroom food was repetitive staff was ignorant and rude driven by tips and money for everything family resort but yet all the games were only allowed for adults i.e volleyball pool etc

Food was very repetitive small buffet three a la carte restaurant but they only let u book two and they r always full... staff were very rude unhelpful and wouldn’t speak English ...rooms were very very small second pool should have a bar close by .....bar opens at noon new Cozumel rule unless u offered tips ....very very driven by tips nothing would be done for you otherwise

We really enjoyed our family trip January 25 - Feb 1, 2020. The resort is fantastic with great pools, beach and the ocean was very warm and swimable. The entertainment team of Juanini, Arbey and Cristian were fun and ran great shows at night for kids and adults alike. The shows were excellent. The food was slightly average at times, but overall very satisfactory. Wifi was not included which we missed when booking, so that was slightly disappointing, but liberating to not be on our phones all the time too. There was a good mix of families and couples and we met a number of return visitors. Would definitely consider a return trip!

Loved this resort. It was clean, safe and fun. Lots to do. Visit the town or explore the island. Snorkeling was excellent. Warm ocean waters. I definitely would return again. If you are travelling to Mexico for the first time I would go here

We had a great time at Allegro! We were a group of 3 couples. 6 adults and 4 kids ranging 5 months to 7 years old. Everyone enjoyed the pool, beach, drinks and food. We all thought they put a lot of effort into the food and enjoyed it. We spent a day driving around Cozumel felt completely safe and loved the different sights. Overall great trip and we would return for sure.

The grounds are beautiful and they work very hard everyday to make them that way. The people who work there are very kind. The room are extremely clean. The beach is beautiful white sand and the clean it every day also it goes for miles. We had a great time at Allegro Cozumel.

First of all: I do recommend this resort It's not a deluxe resort, but offers beautiful grounds, it's very clean, the beach is great. The rooms are small and walls are thin ,but they have all amenities. Food has reasonable variety.They really need to work at keeping the food warmer though. Lots of great fish, and fresh salad makings. Fruit available every meal. They don't water down drinks, but they do "fill" their own premium liquor bottles. Still pretty good though. Staff over all is very friendly. Service on the beach is pretty spotty, but it never hurts to walk to the bar. If you're looking for top notch exciting entertainment, probably not for you BUT it's good family entertainment. WIFI: You can get it free if you book Premium. However, it's still only available in certain areas. It seemed to work within the Premium room units area. If you are not Premium, you will have to pay up to $45 US for the week. Premium status: Includes a premium lounge where you can serve your own mixed drinks, wine and beer. It also has continental breakfast and simple lunches. If you HATE CROWDS this is a good thing for you as it's more secluded and quiet. You also have your own pool and beach area which is generally quieter One of the Managers Rodrigo was very helpful in dealing with some minor issues when the original manager/rep at the Premium lounge was barely ever seen and didn't show up when several Premium guests needed him. The best restaurant was the Oriental. We also enjoyed the Mexican. Adorable little Mexican version of raccoons running around. They don't bother anyone and are good little cleaners for dropped food.

This resort is amazing for the price. Has all the essentials. The staff are very friendly and the hotel is clean and well kept up. Smaller resort so not a lot of walking involved. Would recommend water shoes for the beach.

Overall the resort was great! The staff were pleasant and friendly. Rooms were very nice and clean. No trouble to bring a small child. Always lots of activities to do for all ages! We will be back!!!!

Second time at allegro in 3 years. Not much has changed. Staff works really hard. Meals were ok. Dinner buffet needs work but breakfast and lunch we're good. The shows at night were awesome. Very entertaining

We really enjoyed our stay at the Allegro in Cozumel. The food was excellent at the buffet with lots of variety for breakfast and supper. The a la carte restaurants were amazing, especially the Mexican and Asian options. The beach was nice - white sand and blue water. We were able to do a bit of snorkeling right in front of the resort. However, if you really enjoy snorkeling, you will want to book a tour. We really appreciated the jacuzzi by the beach and would often sit in there to watch the sunset over the water. The entertainment staff did a great job organizing various games and activities that we had fun participating in. We really enjoyed the night time shows, particularly the circus show and the break dancing. The karaoke night was also a lot of fun. Our room was nice and very clean. The only setback of the room was that because of the grass roofs, there is not very much noise separation and we could easily hear what was happening outside our room. Overall, we had a wonderful time at this resort and would definitely go back again and recommend to others.

This was our 5th time to the resort as a group of 8 and we were disappointed with the customer service, i.e. room request, dinner reservations not available. We have always been extremely pleased with the Allegro (the proof 5th time!), however the reception and guest relations employees were rude and not helpful at all. We have never complained in the past but this will definitely be our last visit.

Such a great resort, this was our 5th time going here. It has everything you need if your a single couple looking to have fun and even more stuff to do with the family, great activities for the kids and the water park is so much fun. The grounds are amazingly landscaped, friendly staff, beautiful beach and lots of activities.

My one phrase review: You get what you pay for! Hotel definitely needs some care and love. There's signs of wear and tear everywhere. Hotel staff is lovely and attentive. For the price, I'd go back

Beautiful beach with clean water, white sand and breathtaking views. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Everyone at this hotel (from the front desk staff and bell boys to the cleaning ladies, bartenders and restaurant staff) works extremely hard to ensure that you have a pleasant experience. Dining service is extremely fast and the staff friendly. Options at the buffet are always plentiful and you can find something for everyone. We come to Mexico at least 3 times a year and always choose Hotel Allegro, for all of the reasons above and more. Highly recommend, especially for families with young children.

The grounds were kept so well and the rooms are nicely decorated. We loved the premium section with the amenities in the clubhouse. Continental breakfast every morning was just right! Our chamber maid kept our room very well and always made us feel special. The only downside was the pool table needs to be refelted and only one cue is not broken.

Nice small resort, easy to navigate around. Great for families with small children . Beach clean with lots of chairs. Dive shop on resort nice and convenient. Professional dive shop. Great experience. I'm a picky eater food okay but I didn't starve.

This was one of the best family vacations we have had. The recreation staff was excellent none stop fun.... all staff was very friendly the resort was always clean. Food was great! I can’t say enough about this resort it’s a must stay for anyone. Thank you allergro Cozumel we will be back for sure !

The hotel was kept very clean. The rooms were very small. The pool and beach were nice, although the smokers used the sand as their ashtray, which I found pretty disgusting. The food was not good at all, it was always cold, even if they just refilled a tray of something, it was cold. The staff was very friendly. They should have more than one person cooking eggs at the breakfast buffet, I felt sorry for the lady that had to cook for so many people, the resort was very full. There was also only 1 bartender at the beach/pool bar, there was a line up most of the time. I am sorry to say I would never return to this resort because of the food. It is certainly not a 4*, I would say it is more like a 3-3 1/2*.

This resort is getting better everytime we go back love the updates . Its a smaller resort but what it lacks in grand lobbies etc it makes up with cleanliness great food and amazing staff not to mention amazing diving right on the resort some of the best in the world.

Had a nice stay at Allegro Cozumel. Food was the only somewhat disappointing part. The Italian restaurant was WORSE than the buffet dinner so we regretted booking it. The oriental restaurant was the only really good food we had all week and it was so much fun watching the chefs cook and chop the food in front of us... a real show!! Highly recommend booking the oriental restaurant. We booked the premium level and had access to another snack bar so we could have breakfast outside by the water rather than in the buffet area (which had a school cafeteria feel). The premium level was well worth it! Apart from the lackluster food, everything was lovely.

This recently renovated resort was small, but had a nice warm feeling to it. It had most amenities that a larger resort would have, with premium brands to be drank!! The entertainment was good. It was relaxing, nice pool and beach area! There wasn’t a lot of different food types but it was ok. I am in a wheelchair and everything was flat or had ramps except my room and bathroom.. but we made do.. thank you

Great all inclusive, staff was very friendly. Only complaint is the room size was quite small for a family of 4. Would definitely recommend. Beach is amazing, lots of activities to keep everyone busy.

Every part of this vacation went smooth. The resort had everything the staff was amazing food and drinks were delicious. The upgrade of room was worth the money. Upgrades ment we had private check in and access to self sever food and bar and a pool shared with just the other upgraded rooms. We were treated exceptionally well. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

I was happy with the premium upgrade rooms benefits The private lounge and pool was great. The staff was amazing . The service was super. The buffets were organized and again the staff was incredible. I didn't have an empty plate or an empty drink for no more than a minute when a staff member would be right there to get me a drink and take my dirty plate away. Overall great great great

Lovely resort, well manicured grounds, lovely rooms, great stretch of ocean, friendly staff, nice private lounge for premium guests - would definitely recommend booking premium level. We will be back.

We travelled with our family - 8 in total. Our room was closest to the disco. Understaffed at the restaurants; no refills of drinks. Ice cream and coffee machine always broken. Pools were cold. Staff at front desk made no extra effort. Couldn’t get into a la carte restaurants. Buffet was so full one night we had to wait 30 minutes. This was supposed to be a special vacation and I’m disappointed all the money we spent to have a week like we did :(

The food was good. There were a lot of nice activities onsite, like beach volleyball, aquagym, soccer, yoga. There was included snorkling equipment for one hour. There were a lot long chairs on the beach. The staff was nice.

The rooms at this resort are terrible. They're small, dated, not the cleanest, and our upper-floor room had a leaky roof (so did our friends'). Staff aren't quick to repair the roof, they just ask whether it's leaking on the bed (if not I guess it's not a priority), and tell you to move all electronics away from the leak. Beyond that, they attend to it when they see fit. There was a distinct smell of raw sewage in our bathroom all week. You either get a king-size bed or two double beds, and it becomes very difficult to switch if you don't like what you initially get. The walls are paper thin. You can hear your neighbours conversing at normal volume even with your door and windows closed. In the evenings, the show/entertainment can be heard from almost every spot on the resort, so bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. If the quality of the room makes or breaks your vacation, do not stay here. Nice beach and pool areas, very clean, easy to get a chair in the morning, bars and washrooms are well-located. Service is good (except for front desk). The food is great, lots of variety and good quality. I have several food-related sensitivities and I had no problem finding adequate meal items. The meal times are great - they don't hem you into a two-hour lunch window, etc. Drinks are served in reusable (not disposable) plastic cups, and there are no straws. So if this type of thing bothers you, bring your own. There's no lobby bar which is a bit odd. This resort is geared towards families with small children- there is a pool dedicated exclusively to kids (play structures, water slides, etc). It looks like a great place to bring kids. The resort is small and easy to navigate.

We like the Allegro for the low-rise buildings, cleanliness, reliable food and its lush and well-maintained grounds. The Caribbean is warm for snorkelling and the middle pool on the grounds works great for lap swimming. A highlight was the yoga with lovely Miel three mornings a week.

Allegro is a great choice for families with young children. The entire resort is kept spotlessly clean, the food is good, and the rooms are comfortable. However, the doors between rooms cause serious noise transmission. Overall this is a decent choice for the price.

This is a beautiful resort. Very clean and amazing landscaping. I travelled with my boyfriend of 7 years and we did truly have an amazing time. However, this is a very family friendly resort meaning there is no 24/7 bar. No real lobby bar, it’s upstairs above the lobby with a pool table and air hockey so there’s always kids around and no smoking is allowed up there. The beach and pools are gorgeous but space can be limited so go early. Book you a la cartes within your first 2 days. Also don’t be afraid to rent a car and tour the island, it’s worth the $60. Also if you’re there for sleep request a ground floor room because the second floor has a thatched roof which carries so much sound!

Positives: Perfect sized resort, less than 5 min walk from Main lobby to beach; Grounds, pools, amenities were in excellent shape (no cracked pool tiles) Kids pool area was loved by our kids and kept them very busy; Drinks were excellent, a lot of premium brands and made well; Staff was great,very friendly and majority of them spoke English; Beach was awesome (a little seaweed) the volleyball court was front and center with a lot of activity; The entertainment staff was great around the pool; the food demonstrations at the pool were excellent; The dive shop was very professional and excellent to deal with; diving from this location was very good and sites were close by; Rooms were clean and updated, Beds were very comfortable; Evening Entertainment was great, something different and professional every night; Kids club was located in an excellent location; Food overall was good but could use some improvement, Japanese was excellent, Italian was not. Negatives: Rooms were tight for 4 people; 2nd floor rooms leak in heavy rain; rooms were noisy from people outside; Hot water in room was hit and miss - more miss; Kids club was an excellent facility but needs to have more engagement and scheduled activities; Times between when the buffet was closed there was no real place to get good food (sports bar food was crap); Having to book Restaurants; The biggest negative I found was you could only book 2 a la carte restaurants within one 7 day stay - dumb.

Grounds were beautiful, well kept. Rooms also nice, small but nice - liked the hut idea. Food was ok, experienced better in other resorts in Mexico. Since we were limited to two a la carte choices (although we managed to get a third), the buffet for lunch and dinner was very repetitive. We were also not allowed to take any food out from the buffet so each meal had to be a sit down one (even if you wanted a quick snack).... we had no grill available during the day by the beach or pool so nowhere to get a quick snack with the exception of the sports bar which often had not so attractive choices (hot dogs, etc.). The resort would also benefit by having somewhere to get a coffee/latte. They had two machines only, one was out of service the entire week we were there and the other only available while the main buffet was open. The Beach however was incredible, friendly staff and our weather was amazing so it made up for what we were lacking. I would recommend the hotel if someone was looking for a decent affordable place as the beach is incredible, great location to explore Cozumel, plan snorkel and/or scuba diving activities.

The resort is isolated as far as shopping or dining out. Approximately $30 USD to take a taxi to town. We booked the premium package which was probably not worth the additional cost. It did get us a room close to the beach and one extra a la cartel booking. The lounge was nice and at the beach with a private pool, but shade was at a premium at this pool. Rooms were nice, although we had to keep a towel over the floor drain in the washroom to block sewer smells. Maintenance came twice and declared the emergency solved- not so- but the towel did work. Food was adequate but certainly not great. The buffets (lunch and dinner) were usually crowded and line ups were normal. These was a first for us. Evening entertainment was nothing special and even repeated one act during our week there. The beach is small but nice. Don’t expect your own space or palapa, too many people. It is a family resort so expect plenty of wee ones, especially on the beach. They don’t seem to use the kids pool but prefer the beach. Snorkelling off the beach is great. Starfish, rays and many varieties of fish are regular sightings. Staff are wonderful and always friendly. We were also disappointed that wifi was not free anywhere on the resort with an y of the packages. For 12 USD per day, we opted to block our contact with the outside world. It did get cheaper if you took the entire week at 56 USD which is still expensive. All things considered, probably won’t return to this resort.

Our family of four, with two teenage daughters, stayed at the Allegro Cozumel for one week over New Year’s. We had a wonderful vacation and met many very friendly people. Our girls had a great time participating in the activities offered, especially volleyball on the beach. The staff was always working hard and very friendly. The resort is very pretty with lots of palm trees and greenery. The pools were fun and the beach is nice although the water wasn’t as clear as we expected. The food was always good with plenty of options to choose from. The only downside with the food is that there is only one restaurant for lunch. There was always a line up during peak times although it was only about 10 minutes and the food was always good once we got in. We loved going on a snorkelling trip and exploring the island by Jeep one day. The resort did a great job on New Year’s Eve. There was an excellent, special meal at the buffet restaurant and then some really good entertainment with an acrobatic show and a super fun band to ring in 2019. All in all, we experienced a very fun and relaxing vacation!

This was our second time at the resort this year. Rooms are clean and spacious. Loved the hammock. Good food at the a la carte restaurants. Stayed in building 65 thru the premier upgrade. Close to beach.

Wounderfull place people are very friendly. We met the executive chef. Italian restaurant is a must. Drinks were expertly made. Snorkeling right at the resort was great. We did a day trip to a local reef. Check in needs improvement.

I simply can not say enough about this place. Super clean, food is delicious, service outstanding. Love the authentic bungalows, everything is very close. I would definitely love to return with my family.

We enjoyed our week at the Allegro Cozumel, the grounds were well maintained and kept clean. The maids did a great job, the room was always clean and the fridge was always restocked. The food was good for an all inclusive, I found the oriental alacarte was the best out of the 3. The staff were excellent, they were all friendly and helpful.

The resort is small, clean and very quiet. The rooms are updated but walls are paper thin making it difficult to sleep if you are in bed early. Food is ok, not much selection if your not Mexican nationals. Reserving the specialty dinners was difficult, they seemed to have issues with reservations and timing. Date and times we were told were not available, were, to friends who booked a day after we tried to. The food at the sports bar was terrible, I complained, next day there were hot dogs. The employees at the front reservation desk did not resolve concerns, rather skated the concern, came back the next day and spoke to a women who did resolve. The beach and water was great. I won't be going back to this resort, was good to try it, gained some understanding. I went to scuba dive, The dive center was good, good service and the dives were great with very experienced dive masters, top rating to Pro Dive Although the rooms are updated and clean, I gave it a fair rating due to the paper thin walls/ceiling where the next door folks can be heard a fair rating

I think this resort Is great. Accommodations were good although the bathroom smells a bit bad because of the water in the toilet. That was a bit hard to stomach by the end of the week. The food is pretty good. I've seen alot of people complain about the italian and Mexican restaurant but I thought they were pretty good. The weekends get busy with lots of locals coming in, so I would plan excursions for the weekends and enjoy a quiet empty resort on the weekdays.

allegro was an amazing experience . the staffs were helpful,( not just in front desk but any staff around was eager to help ) the people working there are very motivated - all the staffs in the restaurants or bar never fetching for tips , just working hard. there was a lot of bad review about the food but for me i think the food was not bad at all, little repetitive but its was good. there was one little problem on the second day of my stay, there was a heavy rain and we had a basic room( superior room) so the rain was pouring inside our room as the rooms are all hut style. but changed our room immediately and upgraded us to a first club room with all the facilities. however when we had to switch room they did not help us to move and we were in rain looking for a first club room ( it was little frustrating). after that incident there were nothing else to complain about. also if you are looking to do activities just buy a package that the people in the airport offer u in the little counter, trust me that's the best deal. we did not get that package and regretted later as the snorkeling and scuba divining cost us more than double of what we were offered in the airport counter( when you exist). i think allegro is the best choice if you want the best value for money. i really feel the staffs were very motivated to serve the customer. my only recommendation to the hotel is that they do something about the roof as when it rains it leak water everywhere even in the restaurants.

This resort was a tropical paradise with beautiful lush grounds maintained to the highest standard.. we never saw any garbage bins overflowing all lights on walkways and buildings were working and romantics in its lighting . The staff was always parked in public areas ( bathrooms) pools cleaning non stop! The pools were immaculate and a choice of three .. adult fun pool with a swim up bar and the pool staff kept us entertained and having fun all day .. waiters to serve your every drink!! There was a quiet pool for those lazy days where you just could read and have a nap!! There was also a kids water park that had a life guard and you could spend hours playing with your kids beautifully kept and lots of fun!! The food was very good great choices and lots of it alway hot and fresh and a staff that waited on you hand and foot !! The bars were well stocked and the sports bar had premium liquor!! The a la carte restaurants were a 10!! The food and service to die for especially the Asian !! Maid service was prompt and every day we had a new towel animal!! They did a fantastic job of stocking our fridge and the rooms and balconies were spotless every day.. each room had its own balcony hammock a wonderful touch.. all in all for the price we paid we had a lovely time not to menu the beach snorkeling scuba diving and other water activities.. I recommend a special coffee at the beach and catch the most beautiful sunset I’ve ever seen!! I traveled there with 13 family members two of them children and we all had a great time made some lovely memories I give the allegro a 10... and would go again !!

Grounds are very clean and so are the rooms food was very repetitive wish there was more options.they need new cups most where cracked and needed replacement. Staff was quick maid was amazing.people who work in the front desk and buffets/ala carts need to speak better english.pools where clean beach was OK hated that there where cigarettes all over the sand made it hard to have our toddlers playing we had to always sit them in towels.

What can I say but absolutely amazing! Not too big...not too small; set up with rooms on either side of pools in the center is fantastic. Grounds kept immaculately clean and well groomed. Check in fast and although there was a mistake with the room being requested as a ground floor this was rectified immediately. Staff was always cheerful....happy and most accommodating at all times. Food was excellent; no complaints whatsoever. The only thing that I could suggest with this resort would be perhaps a cappuccino bar; other than this it is an absolute paradise.

Beautiful well maintained resort.. staff very helpful and friendly. Ocean front well maintained. A la cartes and buffet very good. Lots of choices for all ages and ethnic tastes. We felt we got our moneys worth and some. One of the best resorts we have been to so far...will definitely be back again.

Grounds excellent, food good. Room assignment poor due to close proximity to theater with its loud reverbating noise nightly. Service excellent from staff. Transportation to Hotel excellent and also to the airport.

We booked this resort at least 4 months before March Break. We booked a room for our elderly mother's to share, requesting two double beds. They gave them a KING to share. When we opened the door, there was water from the AC unit, dripping/pouring down through the pot lights over the vanity sink onto the counter and the ceramic floor, making the floor very dangerous for slipping. The floor of the walk in shower slopped away from the drain, pooling the water by the far end near the door, again on ceramic tile, making it very slippery, and very dangerous for our mothers. They took 4 nights to finally get them into another room. The beach, pool, food, etc were all fine. General staff were very friendly and its a good resort. Beach was great.

This is a very nice, eco-conscious resort that is not as fancy as some others however it offered everything we wanted and more. We did not find it dated, just more simple in decor and style such as thatched roofs on the villas and simple but modern and clean rooms. We were very happy with the food, there was lots to choose from and plenty of it. If you are picky then you may feel limited in your choices at times but if you enjoy trying new things (like grilled cactus and mole poblano) then there are lots of options. The beach was fantastic, we purposely chose Cozumel because of the snorkeling and we were not disappointed! Crystal clear waters and we saw small sting rays, a huge starfish and lots of fish right off the beach. On a snorkeling excursion we went on we saw sea turtles, many many fish and even a tiny shark hanging out by the reef. We did not use the gym, spa or go to much evening entertainment but we saw a cirque-de-soleil style show and a concert. One thing you should know if you visit here is that the hotel staff will try to sell time shares to you by telling you there is a free welcome package or gift of some kind. Nothing is free and if you buy into this you will be given a presentation about time shares. A simple no-thanks will suffice though and no one bothered us after that. This would be a great resort for families but my husband and I (ages 25 and 26 no kids) had a great time. Value for the money was awesome.

We really enjoyed this resort. The location was great. The layout of the resort was so easy to get around and lots of option for busier pool activities or quiet pool areas to read. Beach was so close to pool and bar. Resort was well kept up from the lobby to landscaping to rooms. Dive center on site was particularly nice and all gear could be stored safely there. Food was better than some all inclusive and tried to have variety every day. We enjoyed the variety of fresh fruit and veggie options as well as the mango soft serve ice cream. Entertainment team did a good job of offering a variety of activities without being pushy. I really enjoyed the yoga from an outside instructor on Monday, Wednesday and Friday while the rest of my group was diving. Finally one of the best things about the resort was the staff. Can't say enough positive things! We talked to many people that have been to this resort repeatedly and we can see why. We are already talking about going back at Christmas.

We had a seemless check in and the staff were pleasant upon arrival. The grounds are beautiful and the pools were as well. The majority of the staff were very nice and quite friendly. The manager, Elvis, was less than helpful. I found he was not willing to make any exceptions at all. We approached him when it was literally raining in our room. We spent a few hours cleaning up the mess and moving things around. We let the front desk know and the next day we spoke with Elvis. We requested we were given a late check out as we spend time on our vacation cleaning up their mess. He would not budge at all. We were given absolutely nothing for the trouble. I just found this a little perplexing as our room was soaked, our luggage was wet, our bed was wet etc. Housekeeping did come and change our bedding however there was a significant inconvenience and it wasn't acknowledged. The other aspects of the hotel: the pool and beach are just amazing. The staff in the restaurants were fabulous. The food in the a la carts I found to be quite good. I liked the menu and the quality of the food. The buffet however was tired. They need to update the food options and improve on the quality. I need to say that I am not a picky person however there were aspects of this resort that were disappointing. I hope that management make improvements to this resort as it would be difficult for me to recommend this resort based on my experience. I am also surprised that Sunwing isn't aware of these concerns based on the number of people that expressed concerns that were on our flight, there had to be previous concerns noted.

Staff all so incredibly friendly and helpful Grounds were immaculate Great walking beach and excellent snorkeling at the resort as well as trips that leave right from the pier - so convenient - no taxis needed Buffet Restaurant near the Pools was the best. Consistency in dining and selections.

We stayed at this Hotel for 2 weeks..overall everything was good. Grounds & pools very nice, rooms a bit small, beds very comfy.. food wasn't the best..beach very good..downside. beware.sales reps for time share there own staff though were all quite good.. We ourselves wouldn't return, but there are a lot of returnies..

We had a great trip. The staff are amazing and very helpful. This is our second time at this resort and have had a great experience. They are always working on upgrading to make the place nice. I heard some people complain about the food but we never had a complaint.

Nice small resort .Clean rooms. Kid friendly. Good food and drinks. Recommend renting a jeep and touring,tequila tour and The Coconut Cabana the east side. Awesome snorkel and dive locations close by,even right in front of the resort. Excellente !

(Feb. 18) Our overall feeling after choosing Allegro Cozumel as our vacation destination this year....REGRET!! They offer a premium upgrade package at Allegro, but what you get for the extra money amounts to what you should be getting as a bare minimum anyway. The "Priority check-in" was unavailable and throughout the week the reception desk was understaffed to manage guest requests. Our request for a specific room type was not granted, and rather than accommodating our request at check-in, the staff insisted we take the room and request to re-locate the following day. Allegro agreed to provide the requested room type only to have us pack up and move to the same type of room!! We eventually got the type of room originally requested, but not without eating into our vacation time. Very frustrating!! Sunwing also offered a free call-home app which required wi-fi and our package supposedly included wi-fi. Allegro refused to honor this condition and once again expected us to keep coming back to the lobby at different times to debate whether or not they would honor the wi-fi offer. Like every other review for this resort, I will repeat, the food on almost every front was lousy (cold; unappetizing; limited options; slowly replenished; lots of mushy mystery stuff etc etc). The best meal we had all week was at Palmeras in San Miguel for dinner one evening. The hotel property itself was beautiful and the grounds were immaculate. The beach was very nice and the water was pure Caribbean bliss. Even though the resort was at full capacity, we never had trouble finding a beach chair on the beach or by the pool. The onsite dive shop staff were top notch and the diving spectacular. Snorkelling in front of the hotel was fun with a few things to see if you dove down, but it is not reef snorkelling at all. The pools were clean and looked beautiful, but the only pool we used was in Premium area. The others were overcrowded and very noisy. The wait staff were fantastic across the board and that made me wonder....how is it that they are so attentive to the guests, while the staff dealing with customer service at reception sucked so badly? Overall we were left feeling very inconvenienced during this vacation....that's not how your vacation should feel. Some rooms were better located on the property than others in terms of noise levels and proximity to the beach etc, but to recommend any one area would go against the fact that I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone! Until the management learn to listen to the overwhelming calls to improve the quality of food and restaurants and to better address guest services issues, Allegro Cozumel should be rated a 3 star resort at most! Seriously!

Wonderful...hotel very clean, staff very attentive and truly very happy with everything. Perhaps more Mexican food but all in all we would go back tomorrow. The sand on the beach was warm and soft, the water a beautiful coral and nice and warm

The hotel, pools and staff were great but the food on the other hand not so good at all They did what I would say is recycle and reuse the food at different servings. I was awoke one night by some birds and couldn't back to sleep as I could hear my neighbor snoring wall are paper thin. All in all would not go back or recommend

The grounds are beautiful, they take very good care of trees, plants, flowers. 1 diver room is clean and comfortable. Nice rooms with fridge and king size bed, nice comfy bedding. The staff is friendly and very helpful. We had no problems with the resort. The food is very repetitive but okay.

Terrible food at buffet! I was concerned before booking after what I had read,but was reassured by Trip Central that one of their workers went and it was good?? The entertainment wasn’t good either!! But the resort was beautiful and staff very good.

The hotel is amazing for small children , perfect grounds, nice staff , its small so your close to everything ! no adulte in the slides for kids so make sure they are old just enough ...love it ! The rooms are small but very nice and the buffet is small but very good !
