Our stay at this all-inclusive resort was overall a really enjoyable experience. The property itself is spacious and beautifully designed. At the center, there’s a stunning open-air area with a glass roof, filled with lush plants that give the whole resort a tropical, relaxing atmosphere. There are plenty of seating and lounging areas throughout, making it easy to find a quiet spot to unwind. The food was a highlight. With around 6–7 different restaurants offering a variety of cuisines, there’s something for everyone. The buffet, in particular, has a huge selection of dishes. While some options are more on the generic side, the overall quality is good and there’s enough variety to keep meals interesting throughout the stay. The beach area is spacious and well-maintained, with lots of lounge chairs available, so finding a spot was never an issue. The swimming pools are also large, clean, and perfect for relaxing or cooling off during the day. There were a couple of minor drawbacks. On the day we arrived, check-in took longer than expected—about 1.5 hours—due to a new administrative system and concierge team. Also, because the resort is so large, room service can be a bit slow at times. That said, the staff were generally helpful and the service overall was still good. The resort offers a lively atmosphere with events and activities scheduled throughout the week. One evening featured live music in the main lobby area until around 10 PM, which added to the energy, though it might be a bit loud for families with young children who have earlier bedtimes. Rooms were clean, tidy, and well-maintained, with daily housekeeping that kept everything in great condition. All in all, this is a beautiful, vibrant resort with great amenities, solid dining options, and a fun atmosphere. Despite a few small inconveniences, we had a really positive experience and would definitely consider returning.

Stayed in the Reserve again and was treated royally. Still worth the extra expense, especially since the hotel was at 100%. The staff could not have been more helpful. There are fewer of them, and that makes their job more challenging. Special thanks to our concierge, Enrique, who worked hard to make us feel special. There was a shortage of beach chairs due to the storm in January that washed away everything on that part of the beach and so extra thanks to the beach hut employees, David and Victor who did their best to find us chairs. I do hope more are on order! The hotel is closing end of May for extensive renovations, and we did notice that some minor things in our room are not maintained. I will be interested in seeing the new version. Hopefully it will not lose "the magic" that makes the hotel unique. The buffet food is only adequate, - not the same variety as we used to see and trouble keeping the food warm, Corners being cut as food costs everywhere are increasing. I'm sure that is true at all resorts, and not just in Mexico. All of our meals at the specialty restaurants were great. The chefs there are top notch. Special gratitude to our agent Karol who always takes excellent care of us when we make our reservations. He finds us the best travel available.

I would love to provide any detail about the hotel we were supposed to visot; however, due to the weather, Sunwing kept putting off our flight one day at a time. When our 7 day vacation was finally whittled down to 5 days (including one day of flying), we cancelled the trip. It turns out the following day’s flights were also cancelled. Sunwing offered us a non-transferable one year use Sunwing travel voucher for our trouble. That’s with the Worry Free Plus ManuLife Sunwing trip insurance we paid extra for. Trip Central was sympathetic, but admitted that they had no real control over Sunwing’s policies. I don’t think I will be booking with Sunwing again - mostly because they were happy to let my 7 day holiday drop to six and then 5 days with little regard. And what good is your travel agent if they can’t stand up for you when things go wrong?

Nice hotel. Except layout of where our room was located. We had to go up the stairs across and down the stairs to reach our room. Love the bracelet room key. Not enough lounge chair at the pool and beach. Had to get up at 5 am to reserve lounge chair. Enforce time limit when people just leave towel on chair. Friendly staff. Good food selection. No shallow end at pool. Rooms are dated.

Feb 10-16 HONEST REVIEW!!!!!! Cannot recommend the PARADISUS CANCUN Reserve section more!!!!! We were so spoiled. We stayed reserve so didn’t have to worry about waking up early to leave towels for a sun chair (except one day we didn’t have the bali bed) The free bali bed perk at the reserve section is amazing, the pool side service is top notch. The resort itself is beautiful and well maintained (been reading about closing for maintenance soon, but we couldn’t tell) we were in pyramid 5. Servers, bartenders, staff is all absolutely amazing, so hardworking and they go the extra mile always to make your time there memorable. The personal concierge perk that comes with the Reserve is also pretty cool that allowed us to have all our dinner reservations taken care of without having to get in lines every morning to reserve tables. The Sunset cruise, Spa day, Sal Steak house are amongst a couple of other perks that come with the Reserve section reservation that we really really enjoyed. The overall food at all the restaurants is phenomenal, the seafood is fresh, menu is well thought of and caters to different palates. Sante (reserve only) restaurant was our favourite, views to die for! The extremely warm and hard working staff definitely deserve a shoutout: Oscar, Cesar, Julio, Victor, Valarei, Gemma, Cynthia!!

Grounds , public areas and hotel overall design is wonderful . Rooms were outdated and badly needed some loving care as well . Improved house- keeping . Hot water supply was inadequate. Guest Services were friendly but not resourceful or empowered. Food was good . Service staff very friendly in dinning area, pool and all around

No customer service. Took forever to get rooms. They kept telling us a manager would speak to us and no manager ever did. No hot water one day. Super long lines for anything. Ran out of beach towels. Very limited number of beach chairs and the only way to get a shaded spot was to pay an additional $250 per day for a cabana “bed”. The staff kept saying how they were short staff and the place seemed to be slowly falling apart.

The hotel was very clean, employees were excellent, food was good, rooms were large. They have a coffee bar open on first floor open 24 hours with different types of coffee and flavors. I loved that feature. However, we had to rush down in the morning to place a towel or personal item on a chair to ensure a spot to sit at the pool or on the beach. I HATE having to do that. Also the lounging chairs could not be adjusted in any way. They were solid. So if you had any kind of back issue you had to stuff towels everywhere to get comfortable. It is very uncomfortable to have to sit at the same angle all day.

The Paradisus Cancun has great common facilities, including buffet and exclusive restaurants. The beach is great, but found towels on almost every beach chairs without occupants. The attendant should remove towels unattended. Sometimes it’s annoying to find a spot on the beach. The resort has severe lack of evening entertainment/ activities. After 10-11pm, it’s seems dead - not expecting from such a great resort. The room is dated without all available facilities.

This hotel was fantastic, clean rooms, exceptional service on the grounds and in room. The food was amazing and the servers was amazing. The ocean was.so much fun. Overall one of my favorites so far and i have done a lot of travelling.

Pros: Buffet food was good and lots of variety Entertainment: Good Customer Service - Was very good, all staff members were pleasant and helpful Cons: Strong scent located throughout the main lobby so if you are sensitive to smell this may bother some people Water leaks from patio doors within the rooms during rains and winds causing a safety issue with slippery floors Interior rooms need repairs i.e. washrooms doors off tracks, patio doors seized Ceiling leaks throughout hallways from heavy rain fall causing a hazard No condiments in the buffets you had to ask for salt/pepper, ketchup etc Any drinks you can never get them to taste the same twice, that seems to be a common with all inclusive Ala cart Restaurants - Hit and miss, frequently items were not available Beach area umbrellas were missing lawn chairs (14 empty) so a challenge to find a place to sit on the beach The beautiful turquoise water was turbulent, so be aware, this could be a challenge for some swimmers Be aware of staff trying to sell you memberships to the Melia resort Overall had a great time!!

Resort was nice I would give it a 7 out of 10. Only the steakhouse was excellent food, but you had to book reserve to dine there or pay extra. With reserve you were allowed one visit but a lot on the menu was also extra charge. As was the case at most restaurants. Lemon Fish was a good restaurant but again extra for most of the menu. Entire resort did not have Pinot Grigio wine which I found very annoying. Bali beds are nice but you only get them once per 7 day stay per person. You have to go on waiting list for the rest of the week

Beach - Lovely sand & great for walking/ ocean for swimming. Red Flags for strong under current/rip tide. National guard and police patrolled the beach on ATVs. Very safe. Resort- 5 pyramids connected through passageways. You can stay inside or walk outside to arrive at your destination ( spa, restaurant, hospitality suite). We stayed in the Reserve. It was worth the added expense (reservations for dinner, Bali beds, etc).The resort is now at 90% capacity. The atrium decor has tropical foliage, koi fish, ponds. Excellent Nespresso coffee stand and snack bar. COVID- staff prefers you mask indoors. However, the staff indicated that it depends on your country of origin if you mask indoors. Our group of 6 masked indoors consistently. We all had covid within the last 90 days and have been vaccinated. Majority of people did not mask indoors as it was not enforced. Although to enter restaurants you were required to wear a mask until seated ( similar to Canadian protocols). We booked (upon arrival) our return antigen test for 430pm on our last day (Friday). We received 5/6 test results (NEG) promptly. No records were found for my 15 year old until 20 min before our airport shuttle departure (Sat). Plan B was to obtain a test at the airport. Staff- service was excellent. Thank you Moises, Jose, Maximus, Galdino & many more. Hardworking and very pleasant.  They were extremely accommodating. We connected with our Reserve concierge through WhatsApp. We could text at any time to make plans or ask for drinks/snacks for our room bar fridge.  One of our rooms was in a party zone so they were moved to a different floor after banging and knocking on doors occurred after “quiet” hours. Gym- this would be less than ideal for the amount of people at the resort. Not enough gear or free weights. In pre covid times, I assume classes would occur in 2 of the fitness rooms ( spin, yoga?). Again, we masked to attend then removed the mask when exercising in a spot ( similar to Canadian rules). Food & beverage-Lots of margaritas. Buffet had many selections.We had great meals. Of course the 2 Mexican restaurants were our favorites. Beautiful resort. I would highly recommend a vacation to The Paradisus for families, couples, and groups. Please improve weight room.

Initial thought while just driving into the resort was “WOW”. The staff is absolutely exceptional and during my 7 day stay, not once did any staff member show a bad attitude. Food is great and the habanero salsa is a must try. The pools are clean and water is fairly warm. The ocean view is something you can’t get tired of and I definitely recommend upgrading to it if you plan on visiting. I was worried about seaweed on the beach since I’ve heard that Cancun is notorious for it but the beach was surprisingly clean. Definitely would recommend Paradisus Cancun and I can’t wait to go back!

Before I described the resort; I'd like to say that we travel every year to all inclusive resorts that are rated 4.5 to 5 stars. We are an active couple in our low 50's. Before booking this resort, I read a lot of the reviews which I will address. We went to Paradisus Cancun Royal Service. The Royal Service is worth it. The arrival was fantastic and fast. We had someone assisting us as soon as we came out of the bus; very nice. The room was absolutely great with ocean views as soon as you step in. I do agree with the reviews about the very dimmed lighting in the bathroom; I literally brought my makeup by the patio door where the lighting was bright. Some reviews complained about the lack of English channels; this is totally incorrect, there were plenty of English channels. We had room cleaning service morning and night which was very nice. The Royal Service pool was great with good temperature water. Within RS, you have the La Palapa restaurant which is by the pool area with ocean views. It is absolutely delicious, we ate all our breakfasts there and a few lunches. There is one buffet and it is good; not the best I have seen but very good food. We tried all the restaurants; my favorite was Vento, Bana, Feugo. Mole was really good but we are not fans of traditional Mexican food. Our least favorite was Enzo. Blues Agave...we read the menu then walked out...not interested. In general, the food is excellent and the service is awesome and we never waited for anything. About the chairs and Bali beds; there are plenty of chairs and you have access to as many towals as you want. You are allowed 2 Bali beds for a 7 day vaca. By 11 o'clock, if there are empty, go see the pool manager and you should be able to get one. We were there for 10 days and I got one everyday. The beach is long on each side; you can walk for ever if you want. There are no entertainment around the pool at the RS. The staff is just great, they really make your vacation better. Kudos to Degner, the pool manager, Moises, Joel and Manuel around the pool. All and all, it is a great resort.

Just returned from a one week stay, Feb 2-9th and were not disappointed. This our 3rd stay and the first time for our friends who we travelled with. They loved it and were impressed with how clean the resort is kept, the amazing staff, the beautiful lobby, location and the hotel in general. Everyone works so hard to make a favorable impression and it truly shows. A big shout out to some extra special people, David and Victor at the swim up pool bar who always took the time to chat and made sure we had what we needed. Also Augustin who got people involved in the daily activities..even Finger Painting! 😁 The only thing we would like to see is a great Italian ala carte restaurant / wooden oven pizza. Maybe next time... 😉

Service is excellent. Staffs are very nice to talk to. Besides, this resort provides many restaurants offering a variety of delicious cuisines, from Mexican to Asian Fusion. Also abundant nice bars.

No air circulation in the main building, they need fans to keep the air moving, no air-conditioning in the main building. The outdoor restaurant was so hot that you couldn't enjoy your dinner. 4 restaurants were closed for renovations, only 2 restaurants with air conditioning, the rooms were very warm, could no get the air conditioning to go any lower. Beautiful building and excellent service and food, but way too hot in the resort!

This was a nice hotel however it was way too large and complicated to get around. Pools were nice. Nice beach. They were under renovation so restaurant choices were not so good. They had a lot of stairs to use and not all had railings

Hotel is very nice. Room is newly renovated. Most staffs are very friendly, some staffs are very passionate about their jobs while some others might need you to tip them well in order to provide services with smiles.

First we will start with the pros... our view was amazing, rooms were clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Cons... were do we begin...drinks were watered down, had to get up at 6:00 am to get a lounger which was no guarantee as either the staff or other guests would take the lounger if you left it unattended for any length of time. The buffet was terrible. My husband and I are still suffering from diarrhea and gastric upset. Many times the meat was not completely cooked. One day at lunch the Buffett ran out of food.. only ice in the trays. There was a gelato stand that was never opened. Our room was right above the Avenue Bar and Red Lounge. Bad place for a room. The music sounded like it was in our room. So we unable to get to sleep until the music stopped. The a la carte restaurants were ok nothing special. The resort was too large with too many kids that we watched stick their hands in the food. We will never go back again to this resort again.

This trip was a family vacation, which was long overdue and needed. When you book a vacation you hope and pray that it looks the same as all the pictures you have been looking at for weeks before hand, and the Paradisus Cancun certainly was all that and more!!! The beautiful indoor gardens made you feel beyond alive and fresh. The welcoming was terrific! The pool concierge's Micheal and Victor were very helpful and made our experience 10 out of 10. (thank you guys again). The server Laura was right up there as well, always a smile and a bevy, life could not get any better!! We also had the "Family Concierge Package" the Butlers helped with excursions and dinner, which was quite helpful. We had goodies in our room every evening (for the Adult's and Children) this was a treat for sure. Would recomend this service as well. We ordered room service every morning for Breakfast, so we could capture the beautiful ocean view (well worth the price) and it was all ways delish (hot) and on time! Our experience would of been 12 out of 10, BUT I'm sorry to say the food experience other than our morning breaky and lunch snacks by the pool was terrible. The restaurant food in the resort was quite unsatisfactory, but the service was good. We tried several restaurant's and all of them left a bad taste with us. To end on a good note our booking agent with tripcentral was very helpful and easy to work with, so I want to thank Nicole Deforest for all her help. thank you!!

The hotel was great, the food amazing and the service was superb! Took our 5.5 month old with us and felt at ease. The pool area and beach were always clean, as were the restaurants. Will definitely be planning to go again soon!

hotel was fantastic. The 15 min. trip from the airport was a bonus.When we arrived we were up graded to a suit ocean view in the main tower on the 7th. floor. Great view of the beach. The pool and the restaraunts.and food was good. The only thing we wished was there was no activities around the pool.Other than that we had a great time . The weather was great 85 and sunny every day and no rain. The only issue was on the way home when we got to the airport in cancun the air transat person who gives us our luggage tags said we were going to toronto. we had to go to the air transat counter where they take our luggage to get it staightened out. Other than that little glitch trip was great good job on suggesting this resort .Needed more areas for smokers

Good for couples and families, not good for singles. Let me explain. We went there from Canada with my friend. The reason we picked Paradisus is that our close friend from Russia got married, we couldn't attend his wedding in Russia so we decided to pay respect and invade his honeymoon :) . Long story short, we were considered gay couple TWICE by different people just cuz we sat together. Food was ok, "adults only" part was a lie, no party whatsoever, unless dancing in a lounge with headphones on considered a party lol

My 4 friends and I were reccommended this hotel from Krista our travel agent. All I have to say is WOW! Amazing! Food is absolutely fantastic. The À La Carte’s are even better! Special special thanks to our boy Michael by the main pool he is an absolute legend. He definitely is a pleasure to be around everyday, and made the trip worth while. Great service all around and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and all ages. Drinks are always phenomenal, Water is stocked in your room and the bed is made every single day. Even if you sleep in lol! All in all it was a fabulous resort to be at and I will definitely be back. Cheers!

We travelled as a group of 10, 6 adults and 4 children. This resort was great and appealed to all age groups. The kids really enjoyed the kids club and activities plus it gave them a break from the sun during the hottest hours of the day. The most fun was when they brought out a huge inflatable water slide! What stands out to me most about the Paradisus Cancun is the service. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, the pool service was constant, we were truly spoiled. Also the cleanliness of everything, there were workers always cleaning, the maids did a great job in the rooms too. I did find a huge dead cockroach in my room one night but I didn't see any others during my stay. I thought the food was average although some of our group loved it, the drinks were delicious, try a shot called 'mini beer', yum! The rooms were spacious enough although a little dated but the cleanliness made up for that. The beach was gorgeous and the pool was enormous, we loved both. The resort itself is really confusing as to which elevator to take to get where you need to go. It's divided in the middle so you can't get through. In short, I would recommend this resort as long as your expectations are realistic for a 4.5 star resort.

The hotel itself is beautiful and very well maintained. The rooms are clean and spacious. There are lots of palapas on the beach and by the pool if you want some shade. The biggest disappointment is the food in the buffet. NOTHING was ever remotely warm so all food was cold. There was a lot of food but not many cooked vegetables. Most of the food was very bland and salt and pepper were not on the table. You had to ask for it and then they put it on your food. The waiters were very accomodating and service was excellent. However, due to the food situation I wouldn't go back to this hotel. While there I met several people who also complained about the food and said that it was not up to the standard of a 4+ hotel.

Beautiful, clean resort. Quite close to airport, so shuttle ride was not long. Great beach, you can walk for miles in either diection. Pools were spacious, one was heated which was nice. Food was very good, lots of choice. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Staff were very helpful & friendly. Room was very nice. Balcony was a good size & very private, with nice view.

I stayed at Paradisus with my girlfriend and we had a great time! The service is spectacular, every single person on the resort is so welcoming and attentive. They are so eager to help you and really enjoyed getting to us. This made our stay extra special: I have been on a lot of beach vacations and I have say that I was very impressed by not only the landscape (which is amazing!!), ambiance but the food! Great buffet; loved that you could go to a la cartes multiple times in one week. Would have loved to have seen an Italian restaurant or more variety in the a la cartes cuisine but what can you do. Loved the market grill the most especially the lamb and steak skewers, so yummy in my tummy. Everything about this place was perfection. It’s not a very party or kid oriented resort so if that’s what you’re looking for I wouldn’t suggest it. There’s other ones that cater to that. Couples..or anyone looking for a relaxing little piece of paradise you’ve found your match!!! I’m ready to book my next trip again :) Just fabulous. Absolutely fabulous

It was a perfect choice to stay in Paradisus Cancun. We got an excellent service, all the staff members were kind and helpful. The environment was clean and the food at all restaurants was amazing. We had a wonderful time at the beach and would definitely recommend this place.

Hotel was very well kept. Food was amazing. Service was exceptional. I would definately return to this property in cancun and visit other paradisus properties. The beach had a lot of seaweed which was the only downfall

The hotel is pretty amazing. It is everything it is supposed to be. The staff were very attentive to the details of maintaining the property and making sure the guests were very well taken care of. It is a beautiful property facing the ocean on the back side. The weather while we were there was 2 days of severe rain and 2 days of light rain. On the days with the severe rain, the hotel showed its age, in that it needs a little TLC. There was rain coming in through the glass partitions, and in some areas the roof, but the rain was severe so this was to be expected.,and even into our room. Overall a great hotel, amazing staff, just needs some TLC to polish up the details. Because we were there in the rainy season, there was a great deal of seaweed on the beach which was removed every couple of days.

Unreal place, Hugo and Armando were the best, all staff was very nice and took lots of pride in their work! Food was excellent, shows were entertaining and the weather kicked ass especially being from Canada eh! Lots of things to do for all ages and family’s as well. I was with my buddy 30 and myself 31 and enjoyed downtown nightlife as well. Suggest trying this hotel with upgrade to oceanview!

This resort is 20 minutes from the airport....you arrive in no time... Check in was slow but there was an employee there serving you drinks while you waited for your room key. Check in took about an hour...that is my only complaint. The grounds, beach, ocean, food, drinks, service were all above par. We got in to every restaurant we wanted with no issues. Food was excellent. Service was excellent . We never waited long before a waiter came to ask us if we were ready for a drink at the pool. Everyone was very friendly......Especially Michael Lara, a pool employee. He made us feel comfortable and welcoming at the pool. They have a coffee station that you were welcome to use when it was open for free coffee and very fresh donuts. I loved the cappacinos! Also had an icecream bar open during the day with candy and syrup toppings to use. The room was large with very comfortable beds and a large shower in the bathroom. I would definitely book this hotel again. I miss it already!

We were so impressed with Paradisus Cancun! Definitely the best all-inclusive we've ever experienced! Fantastic service-friendly and very quick to respond! Stunningly beautiful hotel atrium and wonderful beach. Top quality drinks too!

Room service is great. Mattresses were too sift and air conditioner was blowing on us at night but size of rooms is good, and it was cleaned and checked twice a day. We were greeted with very nice bottle of tequila and fruit. Another day we got a nice bottle of champagne as a surprise. Overall environment is very relaxing . The way they say hi to you with smile and holding Palm on their heart is amazing. Kids and babies club is excellent. Our daughter liked it a lot. We were bothered by noise from the shows when we went to bed early, these were very loud as they are inside of hotel. Shows are okay, standard not the best attraction. Service in restaurants is great, staff is amazing everywhere and very attentive to all your needs, and you are always greeted as a friend-feels like management really cares about guest experience. This comfort feeling doesnt leave you since you get off the van and till you leave. Food could be better quality but you get huge variety and can always find good for every taste. Amazing view of the beach , right at the door step. One of the longest beach area amongst hotels in the same areas. Lots of cabanas. Very windy with waves but water is turquoise and clean .Water in pools was very cold especially in kids pool. Pools are all deep. Overall very relaxing and good experience. We stayed in one of the best Paradisus Reserve in Punta Cana but guest service experience there wasn't even close to Paradisus Cancun..

Inspired me to swim laps 3 times a day Service: gracious hosts, servers, bartenders Beach: superb location...beach amazing Food: many unique items such as grasshoppers (Royal Service) Royal service: well worth the money.....private breakfast area, lunch area where fresh fruit, colds cuts and bread were available all day, pool View fantastic from room (even the lagoon side, where we were) Indoor greenery: lush and inspiring Inside air: the best relaxing smells (again, in keeping with the Paradisus name)

Couldn't have asked for a better resort! Service, food, location and amenities were top notch. The a la care restaurants served excellent food and we have been to many all inclusives...even the buffet was better than any other resort we have been to. Would definitely go back again!

My wife and I stayed at the Paradisus Cancun from 08-15 Jan 2017. It is by far the nicest place we have stayed. The resort was clean , rooms were spacious and service was great. The food at the Buffet was very good and 5 of the 6 restaurants we tried the food was very good to great. We stayed on the Royal Service side and the service their was very good. All the staff were friendly and were fun to talk and joke with. We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone.

We loved staying at the paradisus, the views were gorgeous, it was the nicest resort we have ever stayed at. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed their activities and all the food was delicious. There was plenty of entertainment, the grounds were all very clean and well kept, we had a wonderful family vacation and the kids never said they were bored once. The staff went above and beyond during our stay, always friendly and eager to help.

Resort is beautiful, well maintained but the staff needs to be trained well to communicate in English and be friendly with guests. This resort suites well for retired people and people with babies. Not much entertainement for adults or kids. Resort itself is beautiful! Rooms are clean!

I was at the Paradisus Cancun for a week Nov 7/16 and it was one of the finest hotels I have ever stayed at. The service in the Royal Service area was impeccable. They could not have done more to make our stay enjoyable. Every detail was looked after. The al a carte dining was excellent and the beachside restaurant was also. We ate at the buffet sometimes for breakfast and lunch and it was also good. The pool is heated and it was lovely to sit in a lounger or go into the cabanna for shade. Five star all the way! I would highly recommend it and I would go back again and again.

When we booked our trip to paradisus it was supposed to be emerald club room which comes with a few perks, how ever when we got to the hotel they jad never heard about Emerald club and didn't have any information about any perks. The good thing was that the hotel was amazing with great and the manager there was awesome as he upgraded us to royal service and it heaven from there. I recommend going to this hotel but don't get emerald club as it doesn't exist.

The resort is nice. The food was mostly bad. We went with a big group and it was a nightmare trying to reserve a la carte restaurants. and because we were a big group (15 people) , they gave us food enough for 4 people.. and they were very rude about it too. On top of everything, we booked through trip central by sunwing, and the shuttle bus transport workers stole credit cards from one of our group. They also kept trying to pretend that they lost her purse but really they were just using that time to take her cards out of her purse, then they returned the purse and stole money from her card that same moment. HORRIBLE experience.. They were also holding my baby bag, and trying to walk far with it. I kept insisting i dont need help and i want my baby bag back, and the guys wouldnt give it back (thinking i would look away for a second and he can steal it). I took it from him and he seemed disappointed. I would never travel with sunwing. On the way going, the 4 hour flight took 9 hours because the pilot had to stop somewhere to 'fill gas', and stopped in cancun airport for another hour until he was able to find a place to get us off the plane. It should never be like that.. we paid for a 4.5 star resort not so that we can be treated like that.. i would never fly through sunwing and would never go to a paradisus resort. Also room service, if we forgot to put a tip, they actually wont even clean the room.. it shouldnt work like that! it was one day that we forgot to put her a tip, and the room was left as it is!

Beautiful resort right on the most beautiful beach I've ever seen. This was my first trip to a southern destination with my boyfriend and we were nervous about what to expect. The service was impeccable - all of the resort staff were very friendly and helpful. I rolled my ankle on our second day at the resort and within minutes there were two resort members there to make sure I was okay and to look at my ankle. Being our first time dowm south, we were particularly nervous about the food as we had heard horror stories about other resorts. We ate at three of the on site restaurants during our stay and the buffet. The market grill was amazing and our favourite experience but be prepared to leave full! We also went to the market grill for pizzas at lunch - delicious! The blue agave was also a good experience experience - the tacos were so delicious! Mole was the third restaurant we visited and that war the only disappointment we had. The food selection just wasn't our type of menu. Most nights we visited the buffet for supper. There was always a great assortment of food and everything was delicious. Even the pickiest of eaters can find something to eat here! During our stay we spent most of our days on the beach with regular visits to the pool for a swim. The beach was so beautiful - it will leave you speechless. The white sand was never too hot on your feet and the turquoise ocean was great to swim in as long as you don't mind some waves. On top of all this, the view was just stunning. Every morning we went to the beach it was as if I had forgotten how beautiful it was the day before and was just as breathtaken with it the next morning. As soon as you walk out of the resort doors to the beach, you are wowed. It's amazing to see water that blue. There was plenty of space and nice beach huts you could put your chairs under. Each beach hut had a table where you could put your drinks while you lounge in the sun. The beach staff were incredibly attentive and there was plenty of water available for order while you were on the beach. The staff would also bring you blender drinks so you never had to leave your beach chair! The majority of the blender drinks we had were Delicious! The bartenders make a great blue Hawaii, pina colada and Bahama mama. If you prefer, you can also pay money to lay on a beach bed. We didn't do this during our stay. We found the beach chairs comfortable. There were showers at the beach level then foot showers at the top of the stairs which was particularly handy for us because we regularly switched from beach to pool. At the top of the stairs you could also visit the sunset grill if you felt like a light lunch or afternoon snack. The pools were a very well laid out so that it wasn't overly crowded and you could have your own space to swim. The pool was also a great temperature and the chemicals weren't too potent. Taking a dip in the pool after spending hours in the sun was one of our favourite ways to cool off - always so refreshing. There were also bathrooms near the sunset grill which is handy if you plan to spend a lot of time on the beach - not a far walk. There is a second set of bathrooms near the hut at the bottom of the resort entrance facing the beach which is equally close. At this hut you can book activities for your trip and also get fresh beach towels. The big purple towels were think and a perfect size. We stayed in a room on the lagoon side and a couple we went with had a room on the ocean view side. Neither me, nor my boyfriend is an earlier riser so this suited us much better than an ocean view. The sun rises on the ocean and sets on the lagoon side. We got to watch the sunset every night before dinner while our friends who are morning people watched the sun rise every morning. Something to keep in mind when you book. Our room itself was beautiful and very clean. The floors and walls are all marble. The bathroom shower has a rainfall style shower head and everything else in the room was very modern. The bathroom came complete with all the usual toiletries for guests but also with cotton swabs and some other handy items which was nice. We had a king bed which was very comfortable and the air conditioner did a great job of keeping the room at a comfortable sleeping temperature. The cleaning staff kept our room very clean each day, even taking the initiative to organize our items on the sink a little neater which was much appreciated. On our sixth night, our air conditioner stopped working. The resort staff was very helpful and quickly moved us to a new room in the same tower when this occurred. While we weren't able to get another king bed, the double beds were much preferable to our broken air conditioner. Although the resort states you don't need to tip, we tipped the cleaners each day, and each of our servers including drink service on the beach. We didn't tip large amounts. Just a dollar or two each meal depending on the level of service, a dollar or two each morning for the cleaners, and a dollar every few drinks on the beach.We found this made a big difference in our service as observed to people around us who weren't tipping. The staff were more attentive to us. Overall, we had an amazing first destination vacation experience. We loved cancun and parsdisus. We are already thinking about planning a trip there next year!

The resort was stunning from the moment you walked in. The grounds were beautiful - the beautiful ocean view as you walked down the main stairs was magical. We upgraded when we arrived to get an ocean view room and i would recommend this to anyone - the view when you woke up each morning was breath taking (not to mention the sunrises from you balcony!). The food was excellent - everything was very flavorful will food options that would satisfy even the most picky eaters. The beach was perfect! Although the waves were quite large, there is nothing that can be done about that! We still enjoyed the ocean every day. We never went into the pool (I don't go to Mexico for the pools!) but they looks amazing as well. The service staff at this hotel were absolutely amazing. We felt like royalty from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. During the days, we did not once leave our beach chair for a drink - there were servers always on the beach looking after you. With these servers dedication, a small gratuity each time went a LONG way! The resort is also very centrally located with public transit right at your doorstep and all major attractions in Cancun were just a couple minutes away by bus. We loved this resort and absolutely will be back next year!!!

The hotel was amazing. Very clean and modern. Food was excellent. And the service was even better. Beaches were beautiful. We did not leave the resort because we only had 4 days so I can't comment on any of the excursions available. Highly recommend though

Very clean, service is good but very average if you have a butler, they changed the administration and they were not even able to confirm my airport shuttle in time, lucky we went on our own 30 min prior. Bags sent late to room, breakfast 1.5 hours late, checkin took 1 hour and then 30 min more for bags, thus despite leaving very early we didn't get to do beach time until 4:30 pm. They gave us a basic room despite our luxury booking and then argued that it was the room they typically give, though it's my second time there. Coffee machines in room didn't work. On the plus side the resort very clean, food was great, the workers were very humble, maids, and all. Bell boys showed a little too money hungry as they argued to take my bags to the room despite us telling them not to , we were afraid to get them later and miss beach time on our first day, as it so happened. The resort is beautiful. The incense is strong, anyone with allergy beware it's all over the resort. The beach is amazing totally. Kids club is subtle. It's a quiet resort not for parties which I liked.

I just got back from a 5-day, all-inclusive stay at the Paradisus Cancun and I already want to go back. The resort was lovely and the staff was super friendly. The room was clean and well-maintained. The food was incredible!! The pool was big enough for all the different parties at the resort. Great resort and they really know how to pamper you!

Very clean, smells amazing, wonderful waiters and waitresses and butlers. Beautiful beach. Need to replace pool chairs but otherwise amazing. Bali beds are a great feature and royal side is so enjoyable bei g adult only.

Beautiful hotel with the best beach cancun has to offer! Staff and services were excellent! Restaurants were impeccable, and 24 hour room service was a big plus! From check in to check out you truly felt well taken care of! A great holiday!
