AMazing Resort
Sandals Grenada is a really great resort!. It is smaller, so you can stay anywhere on the site. 15 minutes max walk from one end to the other. 8 fantastic restaurants. Bucks steakhouse is fantastic, but be sure to set your reservations there as soon as you get there. Kimonos Japanese is a lively fun, food experience. The staff are very very friendly and helpful. The entertainment is not too loud, and usually shuts down by 11 pm, although there are places to get drinks until well into the am. Everything in our room worked and the room itself was very spacious, and high quality and as per the pictures. We did not have the butler service and we didn't need it. We were able to get decent seats by the pool or the beach every day as long as we were down there before 9 am. The only knock is the size of the beach- it is beautiful and private (which is good), but not long enough for those who like to go on long walks on the beach. It is however, private, so there is lots of space for everyone. i would estimate it is 1/2 mile long max. The resort is also a very short 10 minute drive from the airport. The runway can be seen from the one end of the resort but we never heard planes in our room, which backed onto it. We did hear a couple landing but only while we were on the beach.

Beautiful ground, amazing food
We had a very large beautiful room with plenty of light coming from the the skylight in the washroom. They are maintaining this place nicely and the gardens are full of flowers. The food is what makes Sandals amazing. The food is the highlights. The beach on the left had more than 20 types of fish, be sure to bring your snorkling equipment. Everyday we took one of the catamaran out for a great adventure on the Caribbean sea. Beautiful scenery.

Amazing and Perfectly Romantic
We had been to Sandals in Antigua when it first opened (first location off of the island of Jamaica) for our honeymoon and we decided to return after 27 years. I had researched which one to go to and this location and Grande St. Lucian seemed to have the best overall reviews. Our experience did not disappoint. What an oasis, yet enjoyable and fun place to vacation as a couple. We met wonderful people from England, the US and fellow Canadians. The food was top notch and the afternoon snack locations were awesome. Used the gym everyday and it was excellent. We got the Rondaval upgrade for last 3 nights and it was worth every penny. It was so romantic and beautiful. The Butler service was exceptional with Ifori, Davey and Jamie taking care of our every need. Bravo ! The other exceptional people who made our stay was the bartenders at the main swim up pool. Kareem (K-Spice concoction), Razim and Terrell were absolute gems and ambassadors for the Sandals brand. We had many laughs in a short time. The only two minor negatives is when we did not have the butler service, access to shaded/umbrella chairs is very limited and required the very early morning chair save and I wished the beach was longer and less ocean current but that was the nature of the location or site it was on. Overall, it was a dream week (31C everyday)

Lovely resort
The Service was excellent especially with the Butlers. The jardiniere restaurant did not compare to the quality of the food at the Parisian in the Barbados. The buffet breakfast was not up to standards at the egg section As a cook was only using one fry pan and pot to do the eggs.

A great resort on a beautiful Island!
The hotel was great and bonus points that it was a quick ride from the airport! The staff were super helpful and genuinely good people that were always checking on us to see if our stay was going well! The food and the restaurants are incredible! The Soy restaurant had some of the best Sushi we’ve ever had! The views of the island from the resort are breathtaking along with the sunsets and the hotel nightly entertainment was incredible! The resort is best suited to honeymoon type vacations or older retiree vacations. The resort did feel a little overpriced for the experience! It is also a smaller resort than some of the others we’ve been to.

Beyond Amazing!
Sandals Grenada was a stunningly beautiful resort with lush gardens and modern facilities throughout the property. Everything was well maintained and the resort was spotless. We had a huge butler level room (Rondoval) with our own pool and hot tub that we used on a daily basis. Our butlers (Willam, Kerry & Randell) went above & beyond for us during our stay, doing such things as: bringing drinks/snacks/lunch to us while we were on the beach or at the pool, leaving late afternoon snacks in our room along with chilled wine or champagne, setting up all of our dinner, tour and spa reservations for us, saving us chairs on the beach or a cabana by the pool in the early morning, arranging our private engagement dinner, bringing breakfast to our outdoor terrace most mornings, leaving bubble baths with tropical flowers and sweet messages, and escorting us to our dinners in the evening. The housekeepers kept our room neat & tidy every day. The entertainment staff was incredible both in the daytime at the party pool (South Seas) and for the evening entertainment. Steven, with the entertainment crew, was especially fun to meet and always knew how to get a party started. Every night has a theme (i.e. Caribbean night, Reggae night, Grenada night) and they have special nights too (i.e. beach party, white party, etc). The food was sooo good! I would recommend all of the restaurants/room service/snacks, as there is something there for everyone and the quality/service was outstanding. We went on the 3pm boat tour and the 1pm snorkel trip both run by the resort and they were both excellent and informative. We visited the spa twice, once in the spa facility and the other time out on the beach, for massages both times and we were impressed by the professionalism and quality of service. We had our free 20 minute photoshoot on the beach and ended up purchasing some pictures (expensive!!!) because we got engaged & wanted some memorable photos to take home. Everyone was very friendly, both staff and guests. It's only a 5 minute ride from the airport which is amazing especially after a full day of travel to get there! The beach & quiet pool were easy to get chairs at if you don't have a butler, but I would recommend getting to the party pool early to reserve chairs, as they fill up fast. Definitely make your dinner and spa reservations as soon as you get there. Even if you don't have a butler, there are girls that will take your order & bring you drinks on both the beach & by the pools. The beach is smaller but still beautiful and you can see St. Georges and lots of boats/cruise ships passing by. The pier is a great spot to sit and watch the sunset in the evenings before heading to dinner. I would definitely bring an adapter or power cord next time, as there didn't seem to be very many plugs in the room. Currency is U.S. or Eastern Caribbean. No tipping at all, except for butlers and spa staff. We left little gift bags of lotion/sweet treats/face masks/bath bombs/etc for our housekeepers and added a tag saying "thank you from your guests in room 4106" so they could take it home with them through the gate when their shift was done. Although I didn't see or hear any mosquitos, I did get quite a few bites in the evening and they were beyond itchy...my fiancé however got none! Overall, we had a fantastic time and would 100% recommend this resort!

Visited Site Before Sandals Expanded it 5 Years Ago - Still A Charm
We visited the LaSource in 1999, before it was hit by the 2004 Hurricane and subsequent sale to Sandals. Sandals has done a great job of expanding the premises, although it took out the former golf course. Grenada remains a special location to me, and the resort is still quite small compared to others. It was very well maintained. We wanted to be on the Pink Gin Beach Buildings in order to have a chance to hear the ocean and see it. The rooms away are nice and tropical but you loose the fact of the ocean. We walked around the resort but only swam in the ocean, not one of the pools. THey have done a great job of umbrellas, but clearly a bit of a need to outstep the butlers if really full. They were only 75% full at the time. The room was great, and unlike many hotels, the in room safe could handle a big lap top. The breakfast buffets were great, expecially the automatic orange juice machine. It was nice that no other restaurant was a buffet. We ended up sitting at the beach side table at Neptunes for the view. Their menu could be augmented a bit. Their two salads were basically identical. After two days, more selection would have been appreciated. Loved the sushi restaurant. Liked Butch Steakhouse. A little disappointed that Spice did not have a big selection of real local dishes, like Oil Down that we tried outside the resort. The hotel gave us room service breakfast for a day we had an early day flight trip to Carriacou, even though we did not have that level of room. We rented a car for a day and tried to get one of the small Butler ice coolors for drinks in the car but they said they did not have any. Funny, even though the hotel was only at 75%, and we were saving them lunch that day. Driving is not for the faint of heart as ditches are 2 feet down, and no curbs stop you first. We combined a visit to the St George Medical University, St Georges and Grand Etang, and a drop in at 4 other resorts to get a feel where we could bring our young children to Grenada. Would be nice to have some water bottles or cooler at the tennis court. It is hot up their. Courts are a bit funky, best described as astro turf. We had several great free clinics with their tennis pro. Water sports were great for snorkel trips and site seeing boat trip up the coast to St Georges. We are certified but did not dive. Walked down the beach one day for our own snorkel. The big rock peers, while not totally natural do provide a safe swimming zone for a beach is prone to many red flag days. I would have to admit that was a positive because the old LaSource could not even get a boat in to pick up divers to go around the other side of the island. Beach drink service was great, even to the far end. Took a hobbie cat out twice with one of the crew. Evening entertainment nice, including the return Sandals guest event. Overall, very hard to pick holes. One suggesting is to tone down the price mark up of taxis through the only tour operator on site. They charge US$18 for the 3 minute ride to the airport, while certified taxies, listed on the government site charge only $10. Sandals implies that all others are unsafe, which is not the case, in my opinion. Similar mark ups existed. Golfing sounded great but the list US$55 return cab to the course five minutes away was silly. If Sandals is already charging a premium fee for the resort, please don't try to add 80% markups to other products. Staff, overall was very friendly. As for going back to the airport 3 hours before the flight, apparently said as a government requirement, the folks at the airport said 1.5 to 2.0 hours was just fine, so we enjoyed the resort longer and took a cab. No one could confirm the 3 hour government rule, just a means to get Sandal's guests off site sooner. Conceige staff at Sandals unable to give me the local Air Canada Vacations - St James Tour local rep number to call in order to check flight info in regard to storms in Canada. Finally, much lower number of Europeans now at this resort. Sandals also responded to previous comments to stop sending sales people to the beach to sign up spa treatments, or to encourage signing up for a our next vacation. We just got one email offering a 12% discount. As for discounts, don't fall for the little flyer about 50% discounts for the gift store before 10 am. It is a small rack of 20 items on sale all the time. The staff seemed to think that 10% discounts after buying 2 items would get sales going faster... The only pain of this trip was Air Canada Rouge. For a 6'2" person, a 5 hr 40 minute flight is painful. Unless you take connections you are forced to this option. Just take lots of Gravel to knock yourself out. Now Air Canada offers planes with Comfort Class - like economy used to be. Funny, this is them finally admitting that Rouge is UN-Comfort Class, just like cattle trucks used to be. You know, offering more than a couple of chairs, with 3 inch more leg room, at a minimal extra ( no more service etc), would help us folks who are over 6 ft, and represent 15% of the market.

Amazing resort!
It was a bonus that the resort was only 5 min from the airport! The grounds were very beautiful, and the ocean views outstanding. Our room was in a very quiet area, perfect for us. We wished we had 2 chairs (we had1) and a small desk or table. The restaurants provided lots of variety and excellent food and service. Butch’s required reservations but allowed guests to show up in shorts and t shirts! Disappointing.Loved the fresh orange juice machine. Lots of activities, lounge sites, towels. Really enjoyed boat excursion to St George’s and coast. A good variety of ages of guests. Will go back! AC Rouge is awful! So cramped! Returning so late in Toronto is not great.

Good resort
Beautiful grounds and gardens. 5 minutes from the airport but a long check in period after a longer flight. Large, comfortable clean rooms. Spectacular food options especially the sushi, best we`ve had anywhere! Second choice was Butch`s, steak was heavenly, close 3rd choice, Le Jardin, romantic and dress up. Excellent food service ie Daniel. Wouldn't swim in the swim up bar pool, no fault of Sandals. Mix of a few people you`d see in the commercials and babba muggers, wide age range. Romantic, lots of newlyweds and couples reconnecting. Would prefer more dress up, only 1 restaurant required evening attire for dinner. You`d think that people spending this much on a vacation could afford some nice cloths. Diving very disappointing. Long wait times, disorganized, look after your own equipment if you take it. No nitrox, not a problem for us. Took 4 1/2 hours to do a 1 tank dive on the final day with transfers. Dive boat only leaves from the resort in good weather otherwise you are taxied to the marina in St. Georges. Spa was excellent, great service but unfortunately fell asleep 3/4 of the way through my massage, hate when that happens! Must do tour is the atv drive to the waterfall. 1/2 day blast. Beach a little disappointing with restricted access to open water with buoys and break-walls but nice sand bottom. Not a good location for snorkeling. Did not get the feeling of being 2nd class unless members/butler patrons had a smoother check in. Felt sorry for the butlers in formal attire with gloves in the heat and embarrassed for the guests requiring their service.

Great diving
The diving is some of the best we have done and the dive team is phenomenal, especially divemasters Kimshon and Gary who went above and beyond to make the dive trips memorable. They make every effort to take you to the sites you want to see and the optional special dives that cost a bit extra are completely worth the money. The food at the resort is great and the resort is nice in that it does not feel crowded and there are no peddlers on the beach. The things they could improve on is that they push guests too much to book your next vacation while you are there and the sales pitch gets annoying while you are on your actual vacation. One guy approached me 2 times in 2 days with the exact same sales pitch just because I was sitting in the open area to the point where I had to tell him we had met, he already gave me the sales pitch the day before and I just wanted to enjoy my vacation. They also do this excessively during the Sandals Select welcome back dinner to the point of it losing its enjoyment of feeling like a special dinner for returning guests. If they could improve on this, they would be fantastic. We went for the diving and this exceeded our expectations so we had an absolutely fantastic time and the food is much higher quality than other Sandals Resorts we have visited. One other thing they need to stop though is fogging for bugs...they do it 2 times a day....I understand the worry for the Zika virus but this seems harmful to the ecosystem and potentially dangerous to guests, I would rather live with the flies.

Couldn't have been more perfect.
This hotel was incredible, from start to finish! The food was delicious, the views were calming, the beach was quiet, the staff and servers were outrageously kind and genuine, the rooms were cleaned constantly, and the weather was the perfect, dry heat we all hope for! My husband and I had the most incredible honeymoon at Sandals Grenada, and are so thankful to have visited this location to celebrate such a special time in our lives.

The very best
we spent two glorious weeks at LaSource; the staff at all levels(from the GM down) were absolutely superb; we enjoyed two trips -one to the capital and one to Gouyave for Fish Friday-the people on the island are extremely friendly and welcoming; Sandals has done a superb job with the renovation -the food in all restaurants and cafes is the very best; will definitely return.

The resort was beautiful & staff warm & eager to please you! Food was excellent...may I recommend the French restaurant ! The breezes off the bay always provide a comfortable temperature and lots of ways to find some shade! Would suggest you read your weekly brochure as to activities and take the orientation however it may not be mentioned to you by the resort or the AC reprep so you may find you are relying on info from other guests! also...be prepared to leave resort 3 hours before your flight departure!

Excellant Food
Hotel was gorgeous and all the food and restaurants were amazing. Staff was all very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Pink Gin rooms and were right on the beach. It's NOT "all included"
We stayed for a week at the Sandals Grenada in March 2014. This was our first stay at a Sandals resort, so we were pretty excited. First, I can say without a doubt that this resort is stunningly beautiful and the food is out of this world. It's literally 5 minutes from the airport so transfers are a breeze. Once you arrive, the staff are truly wonderful. However, know what your vacation package includes. This resort has multiple tiers of "all inclusive" and you may find yourself dumbfounded on arrival to realize certain things are not included in your room category. Things like WIFI, room service and even alcoholic beverages in your room are not standard provisions at this resort. There are at least 10 different levels of services, each with a progressively higher price tag. If you know what you want for a good holiday, MAKE CERTAIN it's actually included to avoid disappointment.

Sandals La Source- Grenada
The hotel is lovely, all ney done and sparkling clean. . There is. Little walking up hills to get to some rooms though. Grounds are beautifully maintained and the people are so unobtrusive and generally very concerned that you have an awesome time and inquire as to your experience there. . A beautiful island all round.
