We stayed at the Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca recently and had a fantastic experience! This resort offers incredible value, especially for those who appreciate a warm, community feel over a standard luxury hotel. The Staff: The absolute highlight of this resort. The staff are incredibly friendly and go above and beyond to make guests feel like family. It is no wonder so many people return year after year. Beautiful Beach: The location on Guardalavaca’s stunning beach is perfect. The white sand and warm waters are ideal for swimming and snorkelling right off the shore. Great Atmosphere: The grounds are beautifully landscaped. There is always something to do, from non-motorized water sports like kayaking and catamarans to bingo, darts, mini golf and entertaining evening shows. Room Tip: The rooms are cleaned daily with comfy beds and fluffy pillows. Value for Money: There was always a variety to choose from each night. The a la carte restaurants, La Espada and El Fuete, are a must-try. Overall, if you are looking for an affordable paradise with a genuine Cuban soul, this is the place to be!

This resort is our second home. We have being going to this resort since 2013. The staff are amazing. Didn't see one mosquito. The food is the food. Did ala carte dinners, went to 24 hour for breakfast. The beach is beautiful, the sun is hot and the beer is cold. Rooms are clean. Can't wait to return next year.

This is an amazing resort even though it's not a 5 star resort, but because the staff are amazing. Also the repeat tourist are happy and friendly and make your stay more relaxing and enjoyable. The food selection is basic but good, you will not starve. The beach is great and the pool is clean both are good to cool off in after being in the hot sun. Sometimes there are shortages in some food and booze but that is only because of the lack of tourist. The more tourist the resort gets the more supplies they can purchase. We have been going to this resort for 17 years and will go back again because I really enjoy it there. I also want to thank Rick Lockhart from Tripcentral for all his help booking my trips over the years, I really enjoy dealing with Rick because of his helpfulness and friendly personality.

This is an amazing resort for a 2 1/2 star rating. The staff are great they will try and do whatever it takes to make your stay pleasant, the rooms are old but nice. The food is ok, you will not starve again remember it's a 2 1/2 star resort. The beaches are fantastic, nice white soft sand and the ocean is beautiful and warm. We booked the trip with the help of Rick Lockhart, who did an excellent job.

The beach was amazing. The food was okay, there were options of chicken, lamb and beef. I would have liked a little more of a fruit selection but I did not go hungry. The resort gave us a complimentary lobster dinner which was very much appreciated. They are guys just off the resort with horse and carriage. We went on a ride for an hour and it only cost $20. Make sure you bring your bug spray, I was covered in bites. I would pack toilet paper too. Seems like they are short of something on it. And we picked up a couple bottles at duty free Our vacation was short and sweet and we would definitely return.

I’ve been to Club Amigo 4 times. Once with family, once with a friend, and twice alone. The resort is clean, beach is breathtaking, staff are amazing, and the guests are lovely. Everyone complains about the food but I’ve never gone hungry. Probably not the best spot if you are picky or have dietary restrictions. The drinks are always flowing. I can’t wait to go back again.

Club Amigo is definitely our home away from home. It has the most beautiful beach. The staff are very friendly and truly make you feel at home. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. Lots of amenities. And has many off resort restaurants within walking distance. We went on a Jeep Safari adventure and it was definitely the best excursion we have been on in 15 years of going to Club Amigo. The excursion allowed me to drive a Jeep in Cuba, we drove speed boats in the bay, stopped for coffee, rode horses to a beautiful vista before we enjoyed a delicious lunch.

Hotel has many public seating areas, great coffee bar, rooms were clean with comfy bed for Cuba, staff were great, nice pool, snack bar and beautiful beach area. More than what we thought we would get for the price.

Hubby and I just returned from two weeks at Club Amigo. We have been there many times and know what the issues are in Cuba at this time but we definitely did not have any problems at all. As always, the staff are super friendly and helpful, the resort is very clean, we did not find any shortages (except for rum, which we do not drink anyway), Plenty of wine, beer, spirits. Food was plentiful, you will not go hungry here. Nightly entertainment was wonderful. Weather was perfect and the beaches are beautiful. We love this place and will definitely be going back again next year!

Hotel is on the good location close to the beach, grounds are well kept rooms are clean plenty food friendly staff serve you whit the smile , safe place best entertainment there is a something to do all day:)

Nice hotel, small, easy to walk around. Beach was small but not busy (easy to get a chair) we had a blast renting out the paddleboard. Food was o.k. but a bit repetitive but we don't go to Cuba for the food. Rico's pizza beside resort on beach (not included, gotta pay yourself) was good to switch things up. The coffee drinks from Ashley cafe were amazing, went several times a day. The staff were all great, very professional, friendly and helpful.

We were looking forward to being in a bungalow for our two week stay but had to move to a room in the hotel. Workers shut the water off at night when they left for the day and turned it on when they remembered the next day. We were unable to use the facilities after seven in the evening. No toilet and no showers between 7pm and 8am. They advertised a fridge and Tv in the bungalow. There was no fridge. We did have the TV but it was not connected. There was no Ariel. We did ask and the front desk said they would look into it. The 3rd day we were there, the hydro was shut off as it happens throughout Cuba. The resort turned their Generator on during dinner time then again when it got dark outside. The bungalows are not connected to the Generator. I asked to be moved inside the hotel for the night as I require a c-pap machine and cannot sleep without it. We ended up staying in what they call a seaview room, no fridge even though they promised to get one but the TV did work. Overall we enjoyed our vacation because of the company we had, but we are disappointed because we did not get a room we paid extra for. We were in three different rooms which created extra stress, and all the unpacking and packing involved. Club Garcia should not be renting out the bungalows because they are not ready for guests. A credit towards a future trip would be appreciated.

i arrived at club atlantico on saturasday February 8th ... at check in i was given a ground level bunkie ( trying to describe the terrible conditon of these units is impossible , so bunkie is my choice of noun ) after a back and forth with keys and whatever ... i had a second level unit ... well; omg grease on the slidding door ... dirty .... seems a strain in the closest had some bioligical beginning ... the bathroom was terrible ( the bathtub was pained in white paint ( slppery ) this unit really belongs in a hooker hotel ! i expected odd food choices and my expectations were accurate ... but private restaurants closeby ... the staff really tried ... no wine with dinner was a disappointment. after 1 1/2 days i meet with the airtransat rep and asked to be moved to another hotel ... this cost me 528.00 plus 40 dollar taxi ride ... i sincerely wished i was advised this was a family hotel ugh ! the aston hotel was ok ... well ; power went out 2 to 3 times a day ... the internet was hit and miss .... the two issues are; staff expecting times each time you ordered ... annoying ... and the extreme size of the hotel ... on the plus side i lost 4 lbs waling miles each day. now what can be improved ; charge effectively to move ... i was believed i was really overchared ... there should not be a penalty to move hotels .... what needs to improve; impower the staff at the front desk ! i had no hot water for 4 days ... well, there was hot water if the staff had bothered to tell me how to operate the system ....secondly, i had no tv for 4 days ... again ; asked another person in the unit and he explained and i finally got the tv to work ( about 10 minutes later the person i had expected 4 days ago , came into the room ! i got sick on the 2nd monday and spent 1 1/2 days wondering if i would ever feel like eating again! not my ideal vacation , i enjoy cuba .... i had excellent service and vacation in the angansa in cayo sant marie in november --- the reason i went back to cuba ... not confident that i will go back to cuba anytime soon.

Do not book bungalows not ready. I did had no TV, fridge and power went out twice had to down grade to main hotel. Main hotel no hot water just like warm. Only had chicken legs ate that for 4 days for lunch and dinner. Did get pork once. Only rum no wine. Food was always cold in buffet. The staff were amazing and very helpful. I was there for a week and had 3 different rooms.

We all know Cuba faces its own challenges. Club Amigo definately has its own issues. Lazy staff. Toilet paper shortages. Below average food. Being rated a 2.5 star to a 3 star online? Id give it a 1 star.

Club Amigo didn't dissapoint , the staff are all so friendly and willing to help with anything you might need . The food is ok but it's Cuba so you have to understand that and go with an open mind and make the best of what they have to offer . We didn't go hungry by no means !!! Rooms were always clean and very well kept grounds . The beaches are so beautiful and clean . I can't wait to return to my favorite place where they all make you feel so welcomed .

The best part of our two-week vacation was the fantastic weather and the beach. PROS: Love the location. Beach is perfect (the main reason we go to Cuba). Nice path to walk along the ocean. Quiet AC, always hot water, no power failures. Personnel at the restaurants/bars were super friendly and efficient. Plenty of wine, beer, & coffee. Public areas were clean and well-kept. CONS: Broken safe. TV in 2nd room never functioned. Rooms had lovely views, but were not cleaned properly. Filthy floor - cleaned only after complaint. Plenty of food, but SAME dishes every day. If only the chef would be more innovative with his meals? No specialty drinks, i.e. pina colada, mojito. What I don’t understand is that, at the privately-owned beach bar next to our resort, you could BUY all these specialty drinks? How come they had the ingredients? Irritating smoke in common areas. Guests pay no attention to the “No smoking” signs and smoke anywhere they please. The WORST part and the ONLY reason why I would not return to this resort is: Too much annoying LOUD MUSIC & talking over the PA, which starts around 10:00 AM, and continues throughout the day, sometimes well into the night, keeping us awake and making a relaxing vacation impossible!

This was our 3rd time to Club Amigo it is definitely our home in Cuba! Although you could only get omlettes for the week our favorite waitress was able to get us eggs so we could have them over easy. They didn't have butter on some days but there was always something to eat. I don't eat pork or beef but was able to have chicken and fish and salad daily. We had a beautiful renovated room on the 4th floor with a great view of the ocean. The resort is split and the villas now belong to the Starfish Resort which is adult only. Club Amigo is so family friendly and the staff just love children. Special shout out to Inalvis, Jamilay, Dorisella, Rudolpho, Danilo, Anna, Mirta, Glexi, Peachy & Jorlan the Entertainer is fabulous! for their EXCELLENT service. The night shows are across the street by the bungalow pool, with it's own bar. Bingo everyday is so much fun. We also like that you can walk off resort and explore the village and nearby town. We will definitely be back :)

We recently spent a wonderful 2 weeks at Hotel Amigo in Guardalavaca, Cuba. The hotel's friendly staff, beautiful beach, and lush surroundings made for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with stunning ocean views. The hotel's location on Guardalavaca's stunning beach was perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and simply soaking up the sun. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Amigo for its excellent value, beautiful setting, and warm hospitality.

Overall, my experience at the hotel was excellent, with outstanding customer service, a beautiful beach, great weather, and enjoyable entertainment options. The only downside was the significant noise disturbance from loud people and music, particularly between midnight and 4 in the morning.

Good food on every meal. Never shortage of food. Very clean resort. Pool was always clean. Beautiful beach. Evening shows were usually reasonably good. Wifi internet worked well most often from most locations. Room was comfortable and cleaned daily. Would return again and again.

Overall if you travel to Cuba without having high expectations, you'll love the resort for the value being spent. Pros, front desk staff are so accommodating, beach is so amazing, and cleaning staff for the room was top notch!!! Cons, Unfortunately we went at a time where the resort was at it's slow time (April 19-27'24) so half way thru our stay, the 24hr snack bar was shut down for renos, room beside us was being renovated and the resort opened up to the locals, which is fine, but they seemed to take over the resort and the wait time for breakfast was 45 minutes in a line up to get an egg/omelet, very frustrating. Also one thing to be concerned about the bartender received dirty glasses, some with beer still in them and she reused them by topping the glasses up with beer to new customers, very unsanitary. FYI bring your own thermos cups to drink out of. No complaints about the weather blue skies and sunshine every day. That was a bonus for sure.

Beautiful grounds, lots of areas to walk, a large beach area and some smaller beaches. I really enjoy the pirate's beach party. Staff are very engaging and friendly...they get to know you. It feels like home there.

the only thing we liked was the beach until the working ladies showed up and harassed the male tourists and no security to chase them away. there was no meat for meals. Selection was terrible food wise

Amazing time we stayed in the villa had a great stay and the beaches are amazing you have to remember going to Cuba you are not getting fine dining. Would recommend this resort for the amount you pay it is worth it.

This was our second time to Club Amigo. We were so surprised that the staff remembered us and happily welcomed us back. We had a smaller room this time but it was fine. The resort is typical for Cuba but it is the staff that make it a super time. I can't name every single staff member but they were fantastic! See Yorlan the Entertainer, he's super and can provide information on different activities etc. We went on an hour long horseback ride through the village, the absolute highlight of our trip! We will definitely be back! :)

This was my fourth trip to club Amigo and I will be going again. They are constantly improving the property, the employees are great and always there to help if you ask, even if it is not their job. Food is a bit of a problem but considering I gain about five pounds every time I go it can't be that bad.

This resort has beautiful grounds and beaches and the most amazing staff anywhere in the world. Although times are tough in Cuba the staff go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Choices may be limited right now but we were never hungry! The stray dogs and cats are treated well by staff and guests and are a delightful group who appreciate every bit of compassion. We have been to Cuba lots of times - and in different places and resorts ( even 5 star rated) - but we keep returning to this beautiful spot!

Hotel Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca should be rated as a 5 star. I was greeted with a smile, hug and cocktail. The staff are amazing and make you at home and always have a smile on their face while working 16-24 hour shifts. There are food shortages in Cuba but what they have is always delicious. I have never walked away hungry. I stayed in a villa and my room was always clean and I received towel art everyday. The beaches were amazing with white sand and crystal clear blue /green water. There was always entertainment throughout the day and every evening. They also have a Cuban festival, Canadian lunch, beach party and a special dinner for returning guests. I have been to this resort 4 times and will be back many more. It feels like home away from home because they all remember you and make you feel like family. I have vacationed to other places but this is the one I will choose for my future sunny destinations. I love this resort and all the wonderful staff.

Grounds & Puplic areas are well looked after & clean Room is made up every day & cleaned Main buffet restaurant and 2 ala cart food is good but you can’t be choosy. You eat what is available It is still a nice hotel for that price.

This trip was our third experience in Holguin, and we have stayed at a different hotel with each visit. This hotel is a strong 3, but has the heart of a 5. It is tired but clean and they are working on restorations. The value could not be beat! We were in a villa #5112, with an ocean view. Our room just fine and the bed was very comfortable. The linens were thick and white, not dingy as can happen. Meals were better than most people here or there eat on a daily basis. Repetitive yes, if you’re not creative. We managed a different combination of choices for most meals. If this doesn’t sit well with you, go someplace else. I will miss the banana chips. Always had a pleasant experience at the ground floor bar and at Cafe Ashley. Groundskeepers were busy daily as winds blew in fresh fallen vegetation daily. Staff always said hello as they passed by and the front seat was always approachable. Our housekeeper was lovely and thoughtful. We loved being able to walk to the length of all three hotels along this strip of beach. In the afternoon, with low tide; we could walk in the water, from end to end, and get a great workout. The waters were breathtaking and the best so far in Holguin, in my opinion. Since we can’t fight Mother Nature, i can’t be disappointed about the fact that there is little reef left in front of the hotel. This made for a little less than interesting snorkelling. But it was a curious expedition every time. I have two complaints and they are about tourist who behave badly. Tourists who think that they are entitled to smoke in any part of the resort despite No Smoking signs; and to litter both on the resort and on the beach. It’s sad and makes us all look bad. This vacation was true value and I would return. Thank you to all the lovely staff at Club Amigo?

Many upgrades made around the resort , our room was in the tropical section , it was a good size with a great view and always kept very clean . Hotel staff are all amazing and go above and beyond to help you with your needs . I can't wait to return .

I know that entire Island of FREEDOM is in some sort of deep crises, but in the chipper resorts it is most obvious... I am a 15 years Veteran here, with 2 trips every winter... so I remember much better days, now it is Totally Terrible... I always praised this resort stating that it is "1,5 starZ hotel, 10 stars People & 11 STARS Beach", but now I have to take OUT that 1,5 and reduce it to ZERO... Marks for People & Beach REMAIN the same, so I will not write about that... this time was like in last November, on my first visit this winter - only WORST... new "specialty" is getting Cappuccino served in VINE Glass :-( ...on the other side, "positive" is that they don't know what else to do with those glasses - since THERE IS NO VINO to find anywhere anytime, with some short exceptions (when they get 2 - 3 bottles say in "La Nina") ... also - NO Mojito, NO PinaColada, NO Yogourt, NO Pig Roast in front of "Santa Maria", NO Foam Pool Party at "La Pinta".. Luckily, at least, decent quality BIER is available everywhere - to help you Forget all of the above... so called "food" is below any description... TasteLess and NO Variations... for me - only SOUPS & Salads were acceptable, and Breakfast is almost OK... so called "food" in "24 Hours" & "Santa Maria" SNACKS are identical, LOUSY and unacceptable for human consumption :-) ... Evening Shows - almost NONEXISTENT, saw ONLY one Live Band ("COCO Yambo") ONLY once during 7 days stay... I better STOP now before I say something politically incorrect :-)

Beautiful beaches, beautiful people, clean as a whistle. Planning our trip back for March! Been to Cuba many times and this is the only resort I would go back to again. Staff was amazing, lots to drink, except tap water.

The staff working on the resort were amazing. The rooms and resort itself were up to par for what you pay for it other than my room had no hot water. I knew of the food shortages before going and was completely fine with the food other than the lack of fruit. My biggest complaint was they ran out of rum almost everyday and had nothing to mix hard liquor with or make drinks with so really all there was to drink on a typical day was beer or whiskey. Also they didn’t put water in the rooms and everyone had to buy bottled water from the resort when it was available.

Good points... Clean! Friendly and helpful staff. Honesty and trustworthy guests and staff- ppl had lost their wallets throughout our stay and were all returned to front desk with everything still there!! Good entertainment, definitely do the bingo!! Its free and You could win a bottle of rum. See Ernest on the beach at Marlin for excursions!! Super affordable. We went snorkeling for $20 Canadian ea. Try the massage inside the hotel ($35 CA for an hour!!). There's a train that comes every morning around 945am for free that will take you to 2 museums ($2 & $7) that reflect on Indians that came from Venezuela and a burial ground replica, then take you to a farm where you get fresh fruit grown on the property!! The beach is clean and clear! Food was good, but repetitive. Go for breakfast early if you want bacon... Not so good.... No free Bottled Water- they have giant bottles 2 for $5 No pop..... Food was repetitive. If you go to the buffet at lunch, you'll see what your dinner will be except you'll get either beef, chicken or pork. Sometimes fish with bones lol.. Not much selection of fresh fruit The water served in restaurants has a weird taste Other than that we would definitely return!!

With what the staff have to work with {food, maintenance, old equipment} they do a remarkable job in keeping this resort functioning. There is talk of splitting Club Amigo into two, the other being Blue Diamond. We shall see. As a comparison concerning food, a group of 8 people went next door to Grand Muthu Almirante {5 star} for dinner. We walked in with no problem. We now know where all the medium to high end food is going, and no shortage of selection. The beaches and staff to date have saved Club Amigo. Long gone are the days of lustre. Changes are coming!

I have been to this resort 21 times and swore I will not go back,but as time goes on you say to your self the beach is fantastic,the staff have become your friends and I mean your honest friends the beds are clean and the grounds are well kept.And they will do there best if you are not happy. Yes there is a lack of food,there is always something missing from day to day if it is not butter than it is coffee even rum coke soft drinks etc; you will never understand this country. The weather was perfect and I had a good time, One thing I did not like at all,even with the so called option flex the plane coming home it was so so small in between the seats I cannot remember being on a plane with so little space,but we were told there was enough space for your care on suitcase there is something wrong with there suitcase policies. Enough the staff cannot help that.one more thing food wise it was 99% better than in April 2023. I would recommend this hotel but will first tell them what they can expect,not more than fair.

The resort was good and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately because of the poor economic situation in Cuba provisions were low and unpredictable. They held a great New Years Party with champagne and lots of music but for me it was very loud. The villa was great and very clean and of course the service was very good. Please tip the staff well as they need your support.

There are a lot of ways Club Amigo G. fulfills your expectations: they don't serve beer in plastic cups, the draft beer isn't watered down Cristale (Bucanero?), almost never ran out of toilet paper in the rooms or public washrooms, served patrons efficiently at the lobby service desk, never ran out of eggs nor bread at the buffet, beach chairs are available. But there are telltale signs of decay as well; as the grass is not cut, limited spaces at limited specialty restaurants, the daily schedule of activities is not followed, returning guests don't receive any percs, repetitive food choices at the only buffet. You have to put these complaints in the context of a challenging Cuban economy with a shiny new competitor on the block (but $500 PP a week more expensive)--Grand Muthu Almirante Guardalaveca. Club Amigo will now always be the cheaper alternative, Brisas Guardalaveca too (although I'm told that Grand Muthu is a sprawling resort with everything far away from each other.)

Our stay there for two weeks was excellent! The landscaping (a lots of trees and green gras), beach, and restaurants are very close to the beach, also pull bar. Food had variety and very good for the 3 star I ate ice-cream 2 times a day and did not lose any weight instead gain some People are very friendly, . Alcohol beside Cuban Rum and bear, whisky, gin, votka, Napoleon brandy etc. Cuba is a country with sanction for more than 50 years, now is fuel problem! Pepi & Persa

Hotel was very well for the price we paid. Grounds, room, beach area, restaurant were kept clean but some of the guests were not uneducated for that metar. Restaurant had everyday srip, labster, lasagna and other food. Best of all the, the juices in the restaurant and some bars was pure natural & organic, (no sugar & additives added)

Why? You won’t find more helpful staff. Professional and friendly. Awesome drinks, Barristas. Can’t beat the awesome Viennese Ice Coffee at Ashley’s Coffee Bar by Roberto. The Villa, overlooking the ocean hard to compare! The house band plays at most meals and is truly delightful. Amazing, smooth, sand beaches! I was treated with so much respect, everywhere at this resort. My dental and medical attention here, was indeed exceptional. Thanks to ALL!

I am a returning guest of club amigo for many years. This was Victor’s first time. I believe we both had a very good time. There were very few Canadians during our time there, and I’m not sure if the Cuban guests leave tips. Therefore the wait staff didn’t really go over and above. We stayed in a Villa and our maid was extremely happy and kind to have served us. Our room was clean and comfortable. There are definitely a lot of changes and things that are lacking. Something that I missed personally was the potable water filter that was located in the garden in the lobby. As there was no water given daily in the rooms. You could buy bottled water in the store but they were small bottles and they were I think US$120 each. Other than that I don’t believe the water at the bar was bottled water as they were pouring it out of the tap or out of the soda gun. Not thrilled with the currency change to Cuban pesos but that is beyond our control. Along with the American dollar charge for everything you buy and have to pay by credit card and not buy Cuban pesos. This is very hard to comprehend. The buffet could use some work. Also, I’m not sure if there were any à la carts. They do host a returning guest luncheon however, it used to be a dinner, and that is more enjoyable definitely. The main pool was fun as always. Guardalavaca Beach is absolutely beautiful. There was always beer but I heard there was no wine. There were no soft drinks other than Fanta. It would’ve been nice to have a Sprite or Gingerale. The 24 hour bar didn’t offer much food. There were no buns for the hamburgers, and all that was offered were hamburger patties and plantain chips. Without toppings at all i.e. mustard or ketchup, tomato or onion. The entertainment crew really worked hard to make sure the guests were enjoying themselves. The Cuba day was fun and the food was good at lunch. We walked around the grounds as I wanted to show Victor how big the resort was. Very sad to see the gardens and grass unkept. We never made it over to the bungalow section. There’s many changes and I really hope they get their mojo back. The staff who were there remembered me and were kind and helpful at the front desk. I never go to Cuba with high expectations of the food at the resorts. However, being at Club Amigo gives you the opportunity to go off resort to the many quaint little restaurants in the area for a change. Can’t wait to see what changes are made the next time we return.

I love this resort, the gardens are beautiful and are taken care of. Food is wonderful as well as the entertainment and the people who work there. It was my second time being there within 3 months. They are so welcoming towards you and they do remember you as a friend.

all i can say its cuba,,,,grounds are beautiful.....food ,,,not so great,,,no beer,,,,and the samething everyday to eat,,,,,save your money,,,theres not much there since covid,,,,,,hit--miss,,,If you go book a tropical section,,,,upgraded to a villia......i paid extra for a villia,,,,,,and tropical section people got upgraded,,,ocean views,,,,,rip off,,,

The hotel staff were great the only thing I would like to see is more of a selection in the buffet restaurant. The villa room we stayed in was always clean and fully supplied. The 24 hour bar/ restaurant had a good selection of food. It was hard for my froend who doesn't drink to get a lemon in his water other then that a great week at the resort.

I would like to say the overall experience with the hotel was great most staff are very friendly very informative. Our check in and check out however were NOT good experiences for 2 people we received 1 key card, we had an issue getting the 10 hours of internet with out getting a not so nice response, the ladies behind the desk seemed more interested in their private conversations or their personal phones. When travelling to Cuba it does need to be told that they only accept certain credit cards as my sister in law and myself were left scrambling to add money to another (Canadian) based credit card. The food is okay same stuff almost daily. I did enjoy my time there and would return for sure, however again your first experience with staff is the door man and he was great but after that it is check in and again they were not very welcoming.

We returned to Club Amigo Atlantico for the second time after spending an amazing week in January. This time we travelled between March 26-April 2, 2023. We enjoyed the nice weather and went to the beach every day. Smooth white sand and crystal clear emerald water. The resort is very well kept and welcoming. Friendly personnel starting with the reception workers to the servers at the buffet and restaurants and bars. We enjoyed our room in the villa that had a balcony overlooking the grounds and had a glimpse of the ocean and was shadowed by two palm trees. The room was comfortably furnished with the necessities including a mini fridge. The lady who did our housekeeping was friendly, kept our room clean and surprised us everyday with a different towel creation . We had WIFI in the room but the signal was week . It was much better on the balcony. We ate at the buffet 3 meals a day. Not too much variety but we found every time something to eat. At the end of our seven day stay there was not much bread nor fruit. We enjoyed the cold beer after dinner served at the table by the very friendly and attentive servers. Considering the poverty in Cuba it is amazingly well supplied with all the necessities. We definitely enjoyed our stay at this resort.

The beaches were exquisite; the staff was always helpful, friendly and efficient. The food was only OK - not great! However, there appeared to be no covid precautions. I wasn't too worried because almost everything was outdoors. The only exception was the dining room that was often crowded and no one was wearing a mask. Three of our group of 5 came back with covid, even though we had multiple vaccinations and wore masks on the plane. I would recommend this resort except for the lack of covid protocols, especially when dining. Much more use needs to be made of open well ventilated spaces for dining.

This was my second time at this place and I would go again in a heartbeat. The dry spell had made things less green than usual but all the grounds are well kept. Food is tasty but plain and with limited choices, that said I gained six pounds in two weeks so not really a problem.

The hotel was very good. Staff were very helpful. Our room was quite large. There was a small patio with a couple of chairs and a table. We sat outside and either read or watched the beautiful ocean view. It was very quiet . The grounds and beaches were immaculate. There were 2 large swimming pools, 2 children's pools and a swim up bar. There were 3 a la Carte restaurants, a 24 hour snack bar, as well as a buffet restaurant. There was a mini golf course, pool table and a ping pong table. There was a well equipped gym. They had kayaks and small sailboats which were included in the cost of our all inclusive stay. There were tours to take, some cheaper than others. We went to Holquin City, an hour bus ride for $15 Canadian. There was entertainment every night. They had precision aquatics, black light, bands and karaoke. We enjoyed it all. The market was a 10 minute walk away. The locals were very friendly. Most spoke some English, many spoke excellent English. At the market they accepted Canadian and American dollars, or you could pay in Cuban pesos. Club Amigo resort caters to families. We met a lot of people who have been going there for 15+ years. There was a children's play area. At no time did we feel threatened on or off of the resort. There was plenty of food at the resort. Sometimes they ran out of butter or some other minor things. Overall the food was not bad. There was lots of variety, pork, beef, lamb, fish, and lots of vegetables. The service was very good. If you like ketchup I would suggest bring it with you from Canada. Mustard was hit and miss. We were there for 2 weeks and plan to go again. Next time we will be going for at least a month, possibly 2. You must remember Cuba is a very poor third world country. Poverty abounds. We took a lot of items, bought at Dollar stores to give to people (finger nail polish, pencils, toys, feminine products, small tools, and other useful things such as tooth brushes and toothpaste), All of these things were gratefully accepted. Gum was a hot commodity as well. All in all we were very pleased and as stated above we will be going there again for a much longer time.

Our last visit to Club Amigo was in March 2020 as we found ourselves in the middle of chaos when the worldwide response to the pandemic included restricting travel. We watched the resort close down around us and we were on the last planes out of Cuba. Club Amigo is working hard to reopen. There are noticeable improvements - such as brand new lounge chairs Currently the renovated hotel rooms are partially open and the Villas are all open. The Barracks and Bungalows are still under renovation. Lots of cleaning staff and bathrooms are cleaned often. Two of the 4 pools are open. The Coffee Bar, Benny's, the 24 hour Bar, the Snack Bar, and the main Buffet are all open. Staff were happy to welcome us back and many remembered us from previous visits. The Pirate Bar is open and there was fun to be had there. There is a small private beach between the Pirate Bar and the Brisas. There is now a grill (great lunch) and a rum bar there which is open from 1100-1600. Food and imported alcohol (such as VODKA) shortages are evident. However, there was lots of beer and wine and rum - but gin was hit and miss! As always in Cuba shortages show the resourcefulness of the Cuban people. We did not starve and we had amazing service. Staff were very grateful for any gifts and especially for hygiene products (soap. toilet paper, toothpaste, and small hand sanitizers).

This was my first trip leaving Canada. Everything here at Club Amigo was Beautiful! The grounds, flowers beautifully maintained. Everyone vacationing and the hotel workers were friendly and pleasant. The grounds keepers took pride in their work and always smiling. Food is tasty and fresh. Loved the happy atmosphere! Truly Heaven on Earth here.

Our Villa was very nice, the beach and ocean are beautiful. Entertainment was very enjoyable. Staff were great. I had an accident and the Dr and nurse were great. I would return to Club Amigo but would like more fruit and veggies to choose from..

We went to this resort for 1 week in February 2023 and we honestly have no complaints! We ate, we drank, we had so much fun and the weather was the best part of it all! Of course COVID-19 had an impact on the resort, it had an impact on everything everywhere! Nothing to complain about at all, we had a wonderful time.

Staff, for the most part, were nice. There were a few grumpy ones. They didn't have any vodka, tequila or champagne. At the snack bars, they basically offered pizza (cheese or ham and cheese) on a pita, or ham and cheese sandwiches with fried plantains. The buffet was ok. The exact same thing everyday. When they ran out of butter, they put out mayo. Also, people (resort guests) were super gross and slicing the bread and touching it and touching all the other things they could put their grubby little hands on (obviously not the hotels fault). There was no hot tub!!! What kind of resort doesn't have a hot tub?? You get what you pay for I guess. It was pretty cheap. The beach was phenomenal. If you're not too picky about food/drinks, you will do fine at this resort. I will explore other options in the future.

Grounds were well kept. Very clean. Staff were wonderful. On the down side, we never saw a rep from Air Transat for the 2 week we were there. The rep from Sunwing went out of their way to assist us. The food was okay, but was a bit boring. Some things were good ( omelets and some desserts). The pool bartender (Alberto) was great. Unfortunate about supply issues, but we were aware of this when we booked.

No refrigerator in rooms unless you want to rent it…. No water in rooms or at store… if you want bottled water you have to buy it with a credit card… same good every night… no diet drinks… there is a beach club near resort but you have to rent the beach chairs…. Will never go there again

The resort also has access to several beaches on the property which are quite beautiful. One beach had a bar and also served barbequed food. The resort is connected to a medical clinic, a pharmacy and a store nearby. You can go for a ride on bicycles you can use for several hours and they are in excellent condition. There is also a market which sells clothes, jewellery and paintings. There is entertainment almost every night and the main bar is spacious and light and airy. The only quibble I have is that, as always in Cuba, the food is pretty blah. The hotel tries hard but there is just not the variety of food you would find in Mexico or other Caribbean destinations. For example, they had papaya and bananas, but not much else for fruit. Lots of desserts but the fish was pretty salty or tasteless. They did have pork and some beef but by the end of 14 days, I had had enough. Also, I think they should start having vegetarian offerings at separate tables as more and more people are vegetarians and vegans. As usual, the coffee at the main restaurant was pretty awful, but downstairs at the main bar, you could get decent cappuccinos with milk and sugar. I have food allergies so I had to bring my own cereal with me. Next time, I would bring cookies too as well aschips as at the end I wasn't eating much. There is also a 24 hour bar, but the service there is spotty and slow. There seemed to be a lot of confusion with regard to Sunwing services. Apparently, Sunwing wants to launch an Elite Plus class of tourism service so restaurants on the resort which once were open to everyone who had made reservations, now were only open to Elite Plus tourists, who wore orange bracelets. It was confusing, especially since none of us were informed of this beforehand. One night, we got all dressed up to go to a booked restaurant near the ocean only to be told we had to go to a nearby pool as this restaurant was not available to us. It made me feel like a second -class tourist... My main complaint was the way some tourists acted. There should be a two tiered system for drunks and the rest of us. I had one or two drinks per day, and I am sure I was subsidizing all the drunks who were forcing their lousy music on the rest of us and generally behaving badly. And I mean badly, as I saw some sexual harassment of young female waitresses and what appeared to solicitation of very young male and female prostitutes by old men, a real turnoff. These incidents were not common but ugly enough to witness. On the whole the staff tries very hard to do their best. Finally, I feel that the Sunwing excursions are pricey. There is a $5.00 bus ride you can take from the resort which drives you around the area and was a change for us. The resort takes Canadian money and US as well as Cuban pesos I would recommend this resort as right now it gives good value. I would love to go to a five star to see if the tourists there are better behaved, but probably they are not. Oh yes, be careful with towels. There is always a bit of hassle with towels apparently going missing. And the nice hotel store in the lobby sold only small European sizes!!! Considering that many slim Europeans were not at the hotel, that was a bit of a waste!!

We are going to this hotel for years and it is improving and renovating constantly. Our room had a walk-in shower because I’m handicapped. The staff is very friendly and greeted us with open arms happy to see us again. The food is good - we ate what is available and were always satisfied. At the moment they have 2 Specailty Restaurants (you need reservation) and the main Buffet Diningroom in the Hotel, there is the 24hour snack bar & Santa Maria snack bar. What we did not like is Sunwing taking over villas 1/2/3 and 4 and we got orange armbands the rest and hotel-guests got green ones. We could eat at La Benny’s all the time while other guests were restricted. The grounds and pools were very clean.

My party has visited this resort for the past 20plus years. People are fantastic, older facility but always clean. But unfortunately this visit was a huge disappointment. New management within the last 14 days has much to already made a huge dent in our visit to this resort. We previously visit the resort in late November under older management food was acceptable with variety. This time around was terrible with no where to turn. Buffet was with no doubt unacceptable. What took old management 4 years to fix and make acceptable, new management 15 days complete 360 direction in the WRONG direction. New director needs a quick shack or many return guess will look elsewhere. Sorry Club Amigo. Love the people but for a couple bucks more can seek out next door at Brias and visit our faithful friends at Club Amigo.

Very well managed, beautiful grounds, comfortable rooms, friendly staff . We enjoyed our stay at Club Amigo Atlantico right on the beach. We had ocean view room and enjoyed the beautiful panorama . Very clean, and lots to do. The food was plenty of choices. Beautiful white sand .The private beach is small but the public beach is right beside with plenty of room .

Hotel is clean. Very bad design comes to the rooms ( our # 2103)faced to disco so can't go sleep before midnight. Nice beach and swimming pools. Good service but very bad food. Wouldn't go there again at least not for the price we paid .

Half the resort was empty front desk said there was 300 people there. Got to know a lot of staff by name. And they knew our names as well. If you tip well they take care of you. Rudolf made sure my drink was never empty and new all of our drink orders for our entire group of 9. If you participate in the events they’ll love you.

Grounds were well maintained..Food was good but no variety.Rooms were clean but no hot water most days.Staff was great..Very friendly great service.I would like to add they should get a 15 minute break at least to eat they are starving

The resort was clean and the grounds well maintained. However, I would not deem a resort all-inclusive when they supply you with one bottle of water (because we cannot drink the tap water) and then advise that you must purchase water thereafter. Similarly, they ran out of wine every day in the afternoon but you could purchase wine at their store for $17.00 a bottle. Wine was not available at the buffet unless, once again, you purchased it for $17.00 a bottle. Only 2 restaurants were available so it was not possible to eat in the restaurants often and it was necessary to eat in the buffet. As one may have surmised, we like to have a glass of wine with our dinner and that was, obviously, not possible. You could not get drinks at the pool swim-up bar because they did not have glasses so unless you were able to obtain a plastic glass at some point and hang onto it, you could not get a drink at the pool swim-up bar. The worst was when their entertainment set up their speakers and played music so loud that it was deafening in our room. We were not happy with that nor were the people with children or the elderly who were unable to even res. We will not be returning to that resort. Okay if you do not have high expectations.

We travelled as a family just 3 of us including our 14 year old son. As far as resorts go it was what is expected in Cuba. Enelvis gave us a villa with a living room and separate bedroom which was ideal. Both air conditioners were fairly new and worked well. If you are in the main building near the pool the entertainment can be loud if you go to bed before 11:00pm. The bungalow area of the resort was closed as were some restaurants, pools and bars. It's still a huge resort and you can walk a short distance to explore the village. The food was plentiful but mostly the same. Although the bread was fresh there was no butter at all only Mayo on some days. The Creole soup and roast chicken were my favourites. We had lunch at Bennys a la carte and it was a treat to have fish. We did 2 a la cartes and they were both fine. Book them as soon as you arrive. The Beach of course was beautiful with powdery white sand. These things are not what we travel to Cuba for, it's for the staff. Enrique, Rudolfo, Lucy, Enelvis, and too many more to list but most of all Lester from entertainment who provided info about horseback riding, which was the highlight of our trip. The staff are all so hard working and just wonderful people. I hope we will have the chance to visit again.

I liked this resort. The resort seemed to go forever. As it was off season the resort wasn't that busy. There was a wide expansive beach. Food was ok, better than other places we've been in Cuba but could still use improvement. They do what they can with what they have to provide. I did not mind the coffee, I did not find it "weak" at all. We ordered from the quiet pool bar, sometimes cappuccino, sometimes espresso, sometimes just coffee, any which way was a treat to be enjoyed. This bar was the all night bar and was a nice place to sit when I couldn't sleep. Servers were friendly and enjoyed the act of serving you. Tipping isn't mandatory but it is so very appreciated. They cannot give coin to the banks so were very happy to be able to exchange coin for paper at face value, sometimes we were sought out to do so. We brought extra $5 bills when we came since I'd read that it would be appreciated. I was quite perturbed over a pair of shoes gone missing from our closet. Other items went missing as well from the room. But once I placed the do not disturb sign on the door, everything was fine. I'm especially annoyed since we paid $240 extra for checked baggage so that we could bring many needed items to Cuba. (underwear, feminine hygiene products, socks, clothing, soap etc.) (85% brand new) The gratitude from recipients is so effusive and genuine, you know that anything you bring is needed. Many haven't had a job for the Covid years! Many items are unavailable as well. The word got out our first day! Maybe the person who "ferried" us to our room in the electric buggy. Maybe the lady at reception. Their need is great so I understood. I found it both gratifying to be able to give and sad to know that the need was so great. Their gratitude is so immense. I bought pillowcases from thrift stores and used those as bags as I didn't want to add plastic to the Cuban waste stream, lol. I returned to our room the first day after breakfast to see our room door open and a maid in front, waiting. I'd already had some "bags" ready and handed her one. Third day, fourth maid and discovered she was our actual maid; the others came from, I don't know where. lol. I enjoyed this trip. It was quiet at the quiet pool. Much work was being done to bring the resort to clean, shiny and new status. No TP issues, my beach bag stash wasn't needed; public bathrooms were always clean. Guards are posted at intervals along the walkways leading to the beach. There were plenty of chairs around the pool and on the beach. We had our own towels (given away at the end) so we did not have towel issues, although that is other tourists not the Cuban peoples. When we first arrived I thought this was the nicest place we stayed at while in Cuba but then we were bussed to another resort by Sunwing due to very late flights, at their expense and the breakfast served there was amazing, but didn't like the room much. A seven day trip turned to four days waiting at airports and hotels. Sunwing has a problem, many excuses were given but the most often was flight crew rest needed. Sunwing gave us a horrendous travelling experience. We needed a vacation from our vacation!

I am a many years VETERAN of Amigo Atlantico, most of the winters - I visit 2 times, with last 2 years - obviously NOT :-( I LOVE your Attitude towards Covid PLANdemic - NOTHING Mentioned! :-) But - RESORT Situation is worse than ever: NO SHOWS, NO VINO, lousy Food (I liked Soups & Salads only & ADORED Yogourt in the morning) and terrible Bread, NO SEA Food, almost NEVER a Fish during 11 days :-( ROOM and grounds are OK... Resort is 1,5***, PEOPLE are 9,5*** & BEACH is 11*** I am not coming again B4 I find out that SHOWS & VINE are BACK, & that should be solved RAPIDO since I plan to come Early February! + 1 Positive Change - AQUA Bar can serve a BEER on TOP, but Mojito is a rear find & PINA COLADA does not exist ++ Hotel STOR does NOT offer much choice of Alcoholic Drinks & ALMOST NO Tabako +++ I did recommend this Resort 1,000 times B4, but can't do it anymore :-( in short = I LOVE AMIGO, but MY DISAPPOINTMENT IS BIG... :-(

It is a older resort ,they just reopen on November 1 So it was only open half capacity,only one buffet and two à la carte were open ,we been going to this resort for about 14 years so to us it’s like going home

We came back the 15th time a beautiful sea view rom newly renovated with a big bathroom was a big surprise , beach towels in room was great.we noticed big changes.The pool Cristal clean coffee delicious food good it is after all a 3 star hotel.The staff very friendly helpful and the place felt like home very clean peaceful.we came home relaxed and planing to go back in February.

I came to the resort after only being open for a week. I was upgraded to the perfect Villa. The 1 operational pool was great. A second pool opened the day I left. Food was good, 2 different outdoor meals, special lobster dinner. Drinks were flowing. Staff were very friendly. A few lights out on walkways but I had my phone. I would probably return but I like a quiet resort and could see if full would be quite busy and loud.

Spacious rooms, well landscaped grounds, 2 pools, white sand beach. Great restaurant, and 3 a la carte serving good food. 5 bars well stocked, friendly staff all around. Generally quiet, except around main pool and stage area where loud music and people congregate, mainly local visitors. Coffee alas was substandard. Warm brown water with watery milk. Bring your own. Nevertheless, we are going back there again soon, for the colors, gardens, beach and sunny skies.

Spent 2 weeks there. Had a great time. Small issues, but just restarting. Food was good. Everyone was very helpful. Looking forward to a return visit. Re-acquainted with friends that I hadn’t seen in almost 2 years. They came and spent the day at the resort with us. Good times

This is a pretty expansive resort with a great beach. It has hotel rooms, villas, barracks and bungalows, two buffets and two ala cartes that are worth the reservation, and they set it up so everyone can GET two reservations in the week you book. That's fair. They will fill your thermos/container with beer, or whatever and that's nice. Everything is on "Cuban time", but its Cuba, enjoy it. There's a Brisas on one side of the beach and an Iberostar in the process of being built on the other. Its NOT a quiet oasis of calm. We met Russians, Quebecois and others who enjoy a good time late into the evening. But its Cuba, enjoy it.

This is our second time visiting this resort, this time we rented a Villa with an ocean view. Absolutely beautiful. We have travelled many places and always go back to this resort for our winter vacation. The people are friendly and always polite. There have been many upgrades this past year to the resort, many improvements. The beach here is the best we’ve been to. Expect us back next year!!

The grounds are very well kept. The employees from maids to floor washers are absolutely friendly and helpful even though some of their English is quite minimal. A la carte resturants were good. The beaches--three were also great, one main beach area and two smaller ones with access to the the reef for snorkeling without leaving the grounds. The mix of people was families to singles. Many Canadians, french and Englishspeaking, Russian, Italians and Cubans making up the balance. Only negative thing I can see is there were no see ums there and I did get some bites--that said I would return as it was great value for the money.

We have been here a few times this will be the last ! The resort is being over run by locals , which are taking lots and lots of food out . I know Cuba isn’t known for its food but this was bad . Every morning our eggs weren’t cooked they only had bacon 2 days . If you wanted sprite for your drink you had to pay for it , if you wanted amber rum you had to pay for it . That has never happened before . Our keys went dead the last day , I had to fight with the front desk for 5 hours to let me in my safe so I could get our passports and money ! 20 minutes before we left is when they finally let me in . They have put on face book about all these Reno’s that are being done ... what they have done is nice . The place is still clean :) it’s definitely not how it used to be .

I have been to Cuba and this resort many times - I go for the people but I do want to have a good room so I always pay a little more and stay in the villas on the second floor - I was put on the first floor - room was very bad - was clean but the walls and ceiling had mold on it, very musky - got in late so asked for another room the next day - only got a reaction when I told them if I didn't get moved that it would be my last trip to this resort since I have been at this same resort since 2005, I said it in a very nice tone - a lot of time if you speak to fast they really don't understand - there is a language barrier there and because they are so nice they try to help not knowing what you are trying to say - all was well after we changed rooms and then waited for our luggage from Sunday night to Thursday morning - thanks Sunwing

We have been going to Club Amigo for quite a few years and I'm afraid as a senior couple with mobility issues we may not return.We found the resort is just to big for us.I exhausted myself getting around this year. I felt sorry for the dining room staff as I'm sure they were doing the best they could with what they had but there were were shortages. No potatoes or fresh orange juice, no buns at the snack bar for hamburgers. The food was even more bland than usual. Also it was very evident that the resort is catering more to locals. The street parties they hold on Guardalavaca Boulevard are very loud. The entertainment was really good this year and they had a couple of great bands. The biggest thing though is the flight times from Halifax which are very poor.You don't get to the resort until around 11:30 at night if you are lucky and returning you don't arrive at Halifax until 4:00 in the morning.

This resort was great. The food was great at Benny More restaurant. We ate a sit down breakfast and lunch there every day. The wait staff there was amazing!! The rooms were neat and clean with a great ocean view (Villa). We really enjoyed the 24 Hour Pool Bar. Always had hot snacks available. Beaches are beautiful!! Chairs were always easy to find. Pools were clean. The only complaints we have are: 1) people reserve beach chairs first thing in the morning, then don't come to use them until 3PM or later 2) money was taken from 2 sets of luggage in one of our rooms 3) front desk refused to send a golf cart when we were checking out early in the morning (our Villa was the furthest one from the lobby) 4) a lot of local Cuban people use this resort (most of them were friendly). 5) safes are not included with the room charge (Varadero rooms give you a safe to use for free)

resort is in deep declining for several years, in everything - but prices which are rising... only people that have been there before will know what I am talking about? + my "Antique" BOX TV was stolen from some museum and did not have a remote :-) + LA NINA Bar at the Lobby, according to their own admition, has only 4 glasses & 9 porcelain cups (for Cappuccino) - so PLASTIC is the King :-) + "24 hours" Snack Bar does NOT have the food 24 hours + in one wing of the hotel, noise from outside is unbearable - always almost till midnight + Show Programs are not every night, but nothing is advertised and you don't know about it + LaPinta AQUA Bar (lost the name) does NOT have beer, nor the other one in the pool at Bungalows + you CAN NOT go on internet (like before) if you didn't bring your device (cell phone is NOT a proper thing to use for that - I need a COMPUTER, and that service is shut down... list is tooo long... BUT, some things are VERY GOOD and it is difficult to spoil them: BEACH is 11 starz, and PEOPLE are GREAT !!!

We just returned from Club Amigo and I must say, Cuba is in a very bad spot these days but despite all that, we had amazing service. We had A/C in our room for sleeping, we had cold drinks and we had sun! What more could we ask for! The food is very rationed but they did their best to accommodate everyone, we certainly didn’t starve and the à la Carte restaurants were definitely worth booking. The Pirate Bar Beach was our daytime hangout and the bartender was awesome! The each front changes daily, as it’s the ocean so some days we had seaweed and others the water was clear. We don’t go to Cuba for the amenities and because of that, we had a wonderful week.

To start off our sunwing rep was not responsive to our phone calls or messages. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The beach was nice, and the pool was well maintained. However the noise was unbearable to the level that it sounded like the band was playing in our room, sometimes till 3am... the food was bland and repetitive. I talked to several guests who are repeat customers and have been coming for 10 years or more who said they would not be returning. Due to the noise and some aggressive people...hate to say most of the aggression stemmed from the Russian clientele ... I would have to say I would not be returning which is too bad

Having been to Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca several times I must say it keeps getting better and better. There have been several upgrades on the resort but the constant year after year is the staff. The Cuban folks who work there make you feel like part of their family. The warm greetings and remembering your name even if you haven't visited for a couple of years. Sincere, honest and caring. That's what Club Amigo is all about. The pools, the ocean, the sun and sand, the snack bars and restaurants are just a bonus that keep us travelling there as often as possible to visit our Cuban friends.

The staff are what makes this resort beautiful. They are doing lots of renovations to make it better. The pools are great, amazing beach. The food is ok, not a lot of variety. They offer a lot of free activities during the day and entertainment at night

We had a great time, a little shy on some food but everything else was great. Hot sunny weather and the beer was cold. Everything was very clean and friendly atmosphere. I would recommend this resort to anyone Thanks for everything Robert & Sharon Bolton

Beautiful hotel most of the staff was amazing buffet left a lil to be desired but still enjoyed our stay . We spent a lot of our time at pool. Made some amazing friends both local and from around the world

Staff is always great. They are patient and gracious. The room we had was a little worn but spotless and the towel art amazing. Grounds were neatly trimmed and keep clean of the tourists tossed cups and garbage. The ocean and beach are fantastic in this location. The coral, which is about 150 yards off the beach, is breathtaking and the variety of fish will have you out there everyday. The food was good and flavourful with the Cuban ice cream the crowning touch. Servers were great and helpful in teaching us some new Spanish. Another trip here is a certainty.

Nice place clean place, lots of exciting things to do, the food was decent, servise is great and deffanity will be returning in the future would recommend anyone to stay and is definitely worth the money

Club amigo in my opinion is a fantastic place, always something to do and see, beautiful grounds and beautiful people. This is my 12th time in Club Amigo.,It's my Home away from home. You can't beat the weather,was 30-31 everyday and very little rain.

1 thing I have to say is that the staff are the friendliest people I have ever meet. Anything you need they are more then happy to help. The weather was beautiful and our time there was amazing. Plans are already in the making for next year. See you soon Club Amigo. Julie and Simon

Everything was great. I had been to this resort before and it was a very pleasant surprise to find a dinner invitation under my door for returning guests. It was also my birthday and I was treated like a king.
