The beach is superb and the other amenities quite acceptable. The staff is excellent and helpful. Recommended as a good choice for a holiday. The only downside is spotty internet access if you need to stay in touch. Not the fault of the resort but a consideration

Spent 11 days enjoying beautiful weather, good service, nice beach and decent food. The bus into town is more frequent, now hourly, which makes it easier to enjoy the cafes, markets and art galleries which make the trip more interesting.

We had an amazing week at Memories! The weather was great, and the ocean and beach were absolutely beautiful. Big thanks to all the staff, especially Yuni and Luis—you guys made our stay unforgettable!

We are a multi visit returner to this hotel. The property buildings and rooms are maintained on and on going basis year to year. Meaning they do not let it run down and then have a major renovation. The staff year to year is consistent in customer care. they are all welcoming and ready to take care of us and our needs. We year after year are welcomed back and to us its like returning to a close relatives home for a family reunion. We intend all things being equal to go back again next November. We also note there are a number of other Canadians we have come to know who also vacation in the same time period as us We keep in touch with many of them during the year and coordinate our vactation's with, a year in advance. yes there are minor issues at any hotel one visit's but compared to the great sea, beach, sun and hotel amenities they are minor and the staff do there best to resolve in as soon and possible. And yes we do recommend this hotel to our friends and are already planning tor nest year.

we stay 2 weeks amazing people, employees very polite the rooms are clean but need revamping, safe needs work every room but was not !!!!, (our do not have door) 1st week big problem with waters, just a little cold waters not warm, 2nd week no warm water food always the same and for dinner cold example -pasta the beautiful beaches and see water entertainment not interesting, nothing from culture and historical Cuban and very late 9:30 pm should be at 9 pm because in resort is most old people.

Beach nice. Lots of umbrelas and sits. Water warm and clean. Food good, but always cold specialy pasta and meats. Resort tight , everywhere close. Entertiment very low quality. Staff very low english, but very frendly. Room - first week no cold water, second week no hot water.

Amazing people, the food is good but always the same. The rooms are clean. The restaurants are ok. The beach is Wow! It's old but so welcoming. The drinks are amazing and the entertainment are goods. I really like my trip there

We spent a week in this resort. It was an inexpensive holiday and we did not have high expectations. This is a small, quiet resort with very nice gardens and a shallow pool (max 3ft deep) located right on the beach on the Alcon peninsula. The beach is beautiful and the water warm although not as clear as the North shore. And the sunsets on the ocean are magnificent. It takes 2.5 hours to get from the airport to the resort and there is no stop, so be warned. The ride is quite nice through the lush mountains of Cuba. We booked a Superior Room, Diamond Club (Sunwing). We are not sure it was worth it as the rooms were very dated, some had mould, none had hot water pressure, many did not have working bed side lighting... It seems that there might be renovated rooms but they were not offered to us, although we were relocated to a room where the toilet flushed after asking Guest Services for a functioning room. Not their fault, Cuba is in crisis and it is difficult to get anything there. The staff cannot go to the hardware store, the shelves are bare everywhere. There are not many activities and entertainment at the resort, but the local band called Son Horizontes is absolutely charming. There was a little beach party at sunset one evening and paella on the beach once at lunch time. We were provided fresh bottled water everyday and there was always plenty of food, although very monotonous after a few days as there were shortages of items. Be warned that there are no cereals and no yogourt at all. The staff was always very accommodating and welcoming. The beach had a lot of sand fleas which was a real problem for me. American 1$ bills for tips seem to be preferred over many other currencies. We visited beautiful Trinidad that is a bus ride away from the resort. I recommend bringing the people some goodies such as Summer clothes, sunglasses, OTC medication, sunscreen, granola bars, candies, etc... They are quite poor, cannot get many of these items and they are very happy when they receive gifts. Reminder, you should bring the following for yourself: - all medication you require including OTC meds, as you might not be able to find it there. - bug repellent, allergy med, anti-itch cream...because of the nasty sand fleas and some mosquitoes - some toilet paper as it might be lacking in some public places, including the airport - Hand sanitizer as it is not provided anywhere we went All in all, we had a good week, it was quite inexpensive, but we would not go back.

Stayed at the resort from January 7 to January 14. 2023. Paid $ 800.a person. Memories Trinidad, formally Brisas Trinidad is a really nice resort with a beautiful Ancon beach, with a good food, the two ala carte restaurants and the buffet Good all over service. Only negative thing were outdated bathrooms, problems with water pressure as well as problems with warm water.

The rooms were disgusting you couldnt even use the shower also mold and bed bugs everywhere. 18 of us got sick on their food i ended up in hospital in Cuba then again here in Canada been sick for seven days lost 22 lbs dehydrated twice. Worst vacation I have ever experienced in my life.

Amazing food, staff, and the resort! I spent there the end of the August of 2023. Local staff are very helpful and friendly. Food is the best compare to the other Cuban resorts. Trinidad Memories Del Mar is located a round the mountains which makes this resort spectacular beautiful.

Typical Cuban hotel 1. Weather, 10 from 10. There were no rains. All the days were sunny, easy breeze, 23-30C. All the days were the same. 2. Food. Pretty typical, enough for me: fish, beef, pork, chicken, real fruits and vegetables. Not much of those famous Cuban mixes of yesterday’s leftovers. Not many “bottle necks” creating the lines to most desirable food. 3. Room. Usual Cuban desperate fighting for support out-off-dated equipment without investments. Water is running: you cannot say there is no water at all. TV shows something. AC works good for me. No insects: this says about cleanness. My bed was good. All the staff open your electronic lock freely whenever they want. WiFi works. All my fifteen or so, problems were solved by staff easily. 4. Public. There are many Cubans there, majority. They are not that hungry or greedy as ten years ago. But they are so loud. Talking like from 50 meters distance. Plus evenings entertainment happens at artillery level of noise. Flimsy plywood doors work as passive diaphragms. Your head works as a resonator! That is how they like it. Request a room as far as possible from that place of local music. 5. The pool is very shallow. It marked 80cm, but it is not. Snack bar effectively try not to deliver snacks. Locals load their huge mugs with beer. 6. Beach. Sand, not much weeds, a bit murky quiet water. There is enough shadow! It is fine for relaxation. The thing it is a populated public beach, not separated. Local beggars start the song “where-are-you-from” all the time. 7. You can buy water, rum, cigarettes and cigars. The end of the list. 8. There is coral reef at 700 meters from the shore. But in 3 kilometres to the North West it approaches to100 meters. Good place for advanced swimming.

The resort is lovely. Rooms, grounds, beach and dining all were just fine. Being Cuba, of course there will be something in your room that should have been replaced a long time ago, and there will always be some item of food or drink that is temporarily unavailable. No big deal. The beach is spectacular, and the water beautifully warm and calm for swimming. The calm doesn't quite extend to outside the resort, however. And getting off the resort is why many people go to Trinidad. There were many arguments on the Trini bus as they now want your credit card for the fare, and most folk were unwilling. There were several blackouts in the town during the day...no coffee! And at night, trying to deal with those old broken streets in total blackness is dangerous. Sitting in the waiting lounge at the airport, we experienced a 15 minute blackout which doesn't exactly inspire confidence. My biggest beef is about the money. The money exchange at the bank gives you the official rate, but you will be charged the unofficial rate at any restaurant, bar, taxi etc, and that is almost double. $1 U.S. bills are good for tips, larger bills not wanted. You can usually pay with Euros or Canadian money, but any change owed is given in pesos. And, the crowning glory.... at the airport money exchange, I was refused when I tried to change back some surplus pesos, despite having been told by the Cadeca employee at the hotel that this was where to do it. "It's not possible" was the excuse at the airport.What country doesn't want its own money back?? Also, nothing at the airport can be bought in pesos. So, a giant mess regarding money, and a general feeling that things are getting worse. At the same time, a huge new Melia hotel is almost ready to open on the peninsula.

On registration, we were not given the list of activities, restaurant's, etc, so we were constantly asking for information. On the weekends, the hotel employees had their friends/families stay for the weekend. This was nothing more than a drunken affair along with prostitutes that were permitted into the resort. The internet service was lousy, constantly requiring the front desk to log us in, sometimes 3 or 4 times per day. Food, for example cheese, would run out at the snack bar, but was available in the cafeteria, but no one would go and see if it was available. The lifeguards were not really lifeguards, who paid little attention to the beach activities, but were more interested in exchanging currency, and/or selling rum and other items. There was no representative from Tripcentral to help in the return private car service, on anyone else to help. This resort lacks upper management control, as there seems to be no control at all, however, the cuban workers were very friendly, helpful, and not too demanding in their request for clothing, etc. The food was monotonous, as many places in Cuba, except for the international hotels.

Grounds well kept. Food was good However the rooms need revamping The room I stayed in was old and the washroom was not done properly. The bathtub need some work. Please upgrade the rooms. The staff should be able to speak a little English.

Once again we had a fabulous experience during our latest visit Feb 21 to March 3rd/23. The grounds were beautiful, the staff was always smiling and the weather was perfect. A Perfect Stay!!! I really had a great vacation. The Memories Trinidad del Mar in Cuba is a human size resort with staff that make you feel welcome and provide a 5-star service. The rooms are clean and very near the beach. Make sure to say Hi to Sophia at the snack bar, she’s the best! Hotel is located on the great Ancon peninsula! 4km long, clean-not-over-crowded beach with palms and trees with a background view of the Sierra Escambray montain range and astonishing sunsets … Very Close to old colonial city of Trinidad - just a short taxi ride away (ask Osman to reserve) that has tons to offer: Good restaurants, arts and shops and great music venues, like La Casa de la Musica – “a must-go-to” for a real taste of Cuban culture. Not to far away is the entrance to El Cubano, a Unesco natural reserve heritage site where you can do and see all sort of things. The only down-side if you are coming from the Santa Clara Airport is the 2-hour long drive through the Sierra … but it was worth it and I will definitely return.

We have been coming to this resort for many years and we think the food was the best it has been. The grounds are beautiful. Very helpful staff (Idalmys, Jose, Irenia, Osmani & Uni). The maid service is excellent.

Classic Cuban building design laid out like a mini-Trinidad! Visually stunning. Beautiful grounds. Gorgeous location. Great beach. Friendly, efficient staff. Yummy food. Good activities - special lunch on the beach on Fridays, volleyball, dance and Spanish lesson, house band...

Very nice hotel. Employees were polite and very attentive. The grounds were well maintained and the hotel itself was sparkling clean. The dining room offered more variety of foods than you can imagine. The beach itself was very clean. This was my first time at this resort and I would certainly go back again.

I found the hotel to be nice and clean. It looked as so It had been redone lately, but the staff were just great,I don't think I have incountered better in my many travels. The food was good,but just a few things were missing like any kind of cereal and there wasn't a French fry to be found. All day pizza was good. Over all I would say it was good value for the money. The only downside was the 2 hour ride from the airport.

Long trip, 2-3hrs from Santa Clara to the resort. But beautiful scenery and get a feel for rural life and small villages in the interior of Cuba. The overall experience turned out to be decent after a bit of a rough start. There were short comings regarding paying extra for the "Diamond Club" service. 1. While we had an ocean view room, we did not get a king bed which is strange since the resort was far under capacity, we had 2 twins 2. The civer sheet on one bed had what appeared to be dried blood on it. It was never changed during our stay, surely the chamber maid should've have noticed. 3. There is no exclusivity for diamond club patrons at the beach and rarely did the staff come to see if any of the individuals there wanted a drink. Overall not a big deal since we all enjoyed the walk to the beach bar, but why advertise the service if you aren't going to provide it. Frankly, I don't care about the area being identified as "exclusive" or "special" by ropes or barriers (that just draws unwanted attention), but surely they could dress up the raised beach beds with cover sheets and sheets for shade. 4. We did not receive a welcome drink when we checked in as advertised. Gabriel was an excellent professional manager. Humberto at the front desk needs to smile and be more friendly, we did not receive a good first impression when we arrived. 5. The servers were generally pleasant throughout, however, they don't understand how to serve upgraded clientel in a exclusive setting ie in the dining room. I would have to ask for the Salt and pepper and tobasco every single morning, even though the same staff served us daily. Anywhere else it would be at the table already or shortly after sitting. Only one of them was very friendly and outgoing (a male by the name of Reimer), the ladies serving us only occasionally smiled and did not appear like they wanted to be there. We tipped everyone everywhere throughout the resort everyday regardless of the service. 6. They only offered the a la carte restaurant one night the whole week. That was disappointing. The meal was decent so it would've been nice to have 2 more nights of a la carte as advertised for the diamond club upgrade. We went into town to eat. Positive points: Private car from airport to resort and back. Well kept grounds. Beach is beautiful as is the ocean. Relatively clean. Although I picked up many empty beer cans and plastic cups daily walking the beach. if you really like snorkeling, cienfuegos is much better. Lots of lounge chairs (but the resort was no where close to capacity). Food selection and quality was better than expected for Cuba. Staff at the outdoor sports bar were all excellent, especially Rachel, Aila and Islander (not sure if I spelled their names correctly). Water sports crew were all excellent. Claudia and Manuel at beach bar were very accommodating, attentive and friendly. The outdoor BBQ lunch held on the beach was great, they should do that twice a wk. The dinner reservation fellow was very friendly and spoke good English. Also helped with ideas of place to go and things to see. The pool was decent, although a bit chilly (got better as the week went on), the hot water spouts were great. Never ran out of toilet paper any where which was a pleasant surprise (we brought lots of our own in case - gave it away). The pizza at the snack bar was good, staff there also very good. The evening shows were well done for such a small resort, it's unfortunate there weren't more clients attending. The store x2 and pharmacy are decent, we used all 3 of them. The selection of upgraded liquor was probably the most notable benefit of the Diamond Club service. Although sometimes they forgot to serve us from that selection, we would have to remind them. Bring bug spray and anti-itch products for the tiny sand flies that come out when the wind dies down - everyone had lots of bites and they are very itchy! But the gorgeous beach is worth it. Be nice if they had the funds to fog every few days.

This hotel is situated on a very lengthy stretch of sandy beach, much of which is still undeveloped and bordered only with tropical vegetation. The beach is well suited to swimming and long walks. The hotel grounds are attractive, with palm trees and pretty gardens. A tower beside the restaurant offers panoramic views of the Ancon Peninsula and spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Food at the buffet restaurant was plentiful and staff were careful about hygiene. At times, the supply of plates and glasses and spoons did not seem to be adequate to meet the demand. The city of Trinidad, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is accessible by means of a double-decker tourist bus that travels between the hotel and the city four times daily. The bus journey takes approximately 30 min and a return ticket costs $5 EUR. Trinidad offers colourful colonial architecture, cobbled streets traversed by vintage cars and horse-drawn carts and wagons, a variety of small museums, artisans' shops, and street entertainers. The Sierra Escambray mountains are visible from the Memories Trinidad Del Mar resort and hiking tours can be arranged to explore the national park and waterfalls. The Memories Trinidad Del Mar resort would suit a traveller who wants to combine beach activities in a peaceful setting with nearby historical and cultural attractions and nature appreciation.

We just got back from our trip to Memories Trinidad Del Mar. Three years ago, we visited this hotel before Covid. At the time, there were very few customers there, however, this hotel becomes a very popular resort and there are lots of customers this time. Despite the increase in volume of customers, there are no shortage of foods. We would recommend other customers to try out their soup and shrimps which are so fresh and tasty. We are also very with the abundance of papaya which is our most favourite fruit. The waiters and waitresses at the dining room are all very nice and are out to please the customers. To name a few, Jelani, Reinier etc. (my spelling may be wrong), they are all eager to serve you with whatever you need. One particular person that makes our trip most memorable and enjoyable is Gabriel at the reception/front desk. We had never seen such a hardworking and pleasant person in a resort who will relentlessly assist the customers in solving all kinds of issues. Although his official hour is 8-5 but at times he would stay until 11:00 pm as he wanted to ensure that the problems are all resolved in a fast and efficient way before he goes home. We would like to commend him to his supervisors/managers for his superb customer service.

We totally enjoyed our stay at Memories Trinidad Hotel. Staff were helpful even if you can't speak Spanish. Rooms were spotless, and effectively cleaned everyday. Plenty of bars, coffee bars and after hour snack bars available. Grounds were updated and well maintained..and well lite at nite. Dining was always a pleasure, greeted with lots of smiles. All staff wore masks, and every station for there was an attendant that served the food you requested onto your plate. (not everyone handling the spoons or touching the food yourself) waiters and waitress were there to bring whatever you requested. Excellent service..and tips are always welcomed. They preferred Canadian or Euros, and any small donation was always appreciated. Except coins. They are hard workers, and dedicated to please all who were visitors to their country. They have a few pools, hot tub, spas..and a beautiful beach with chairs and towels provided, and a bar cabana steps away. What else can you ask for beach, blue skies and beer. Now that's a vacation. They also have taxi and busses that go into town, Trinidad an old cobblestone city over 500 years old. Something to see only 12 klm away. We loved it there, and have no reservation to go back again in the new year...loved it.

This is a good resort at the price point. The beach was excellent, approximately 2 to 3 klm long, beige sand and mostly empty. The staff were friendly and service was generally good. Staff with Hola Tours and Sunwing were always on site and would assist you regardless of which company you booked with. Everything I required was available at the resort. Quiet areas were also available at the resort; the main area often had the music blaring, but there were other areas, including the beach, if you did not want the constant music. With tourism re-opening the resort was spending a lot of time and effort to update the resort, but no construction noise. The food was acceptable. I see many reviews that are critical of the food in Cuba. The food is not as good as it is in Europe or some higher priced beach destinations, but at this price point the food was acceptable. The one critical item I have is the bus ride from Santa Clara airport, almost 3 hours avoiding lots of potholes and lots of slower traffic. This to travel about 115 klm. Hopefully once the other resorts re-open and the new resort is completed there will be sufficient volume to warrant a flight into Cienfuegos or better yet Trinidad (needs a runway about 1,000 ft longer).

We had been there for a week, resort is clean, staff is friendly, food is cuban. For sure the best parts of resort are beach, sun, and ocean. They are beautiful. Snorkeling is 20$ for 1 hour trip to riffs or you can see a lot of fish along the shore. Visitors are from all over the world come and go every day. Trip to Trinidad is not for everyone, impression is sad. I would recommend enjoying the vacation at resort. Keep in mind, that the road from Santa Clara airport to hotel takes 2.5-3 hours.

Lovely grounds, beach rooms etc. Staff were all very accommodating. The buffet was acceptable, if a bit repetitive at times. Everything was very clean. Buffet staff were all wearing masks. The bus leaves for Trinidad 4 times daily, 5 euros per round trip. In Trinidad there is music, dancing and restaurants, although some had closed. There are signs everywhere of resurgence; a large new Melia hotel is being built nearby, and stores that were closed had renovations going on. I would definitely go again.

The grounds were well kept. Daily staff were constantly on the move trimming the trees, grass etc. Bars were busy but well staffed so wait times were minor. The pool was clean and bright, well kept but shutting it down at 6pm was just annoying. Housekeeping staff were on the job nicely. Room was always made up promptly. Rooms are big and bright with an ample balcony and two nice chairs.It was however lacking a table that would have made the balcony great. The staff in the buffet are awesome always on top of things. The food was decent for all inclusive fare. If you want to experience Cuban food go into Trinidad.

Memories Trinidad del mar is a lovely resort. Yes it's a 3 hour drive from the airport but there are so many sights to see along the way. And its location is ideal touring the surrounding country, especially the 500 yr old city of Trinidad. The resort architecture is built to mimic the colonial days of Cuba. Rooms are clean, staff is lovely and there is always room to sit at the beach or pool..in the shade or sun! You can walk for miles on the beach. This resort is not too big and never felt crowded.

Stayed at this hotel the week of Jan.11-18, 2020. Our room was clean and neat, the bathroom and tub was a little dated. The staff was fabulous, friendly accommodating and hard working. The food at the buffet was better than expected but the al la carte restaurants were not good. Ate at the buffet for 6 of 7 days. The pool area needs some updating, not many loungers and the hot tub was not in use(empty). The beach is beautiful. Had trouble with our door keys. Every other day the door key would not work so had to go to front desk to get new. Very inconvenient especially late at night, and we were on the second floor. It is close to Trinidad where you can have a nice meal and do many activities It is a basic no frills resort at a very reasonable price with beautiful weather, wonderful people and the drinks are always cold!

Memories Trinidad is a great resort. This year we went with our daughter and son-in-law and we had an excellent time. The resort itself is amazing, it is clean and the staff is very dedicated to making your holiday worry free. The rooms were comfortable and kept very clean the had normal water pressure, the air conditioner worked and the beds were very comfortable. I cannot say enough about the staff, they are friendly, professional and do everything they can to meet our expectations. Idalmis and Jose at the lobby bar are a lot of fun and they go above and beyond. Frank is the entertainment and coordinated a "white party" most everyone at the resort participated and it was a great evening. Osmany is public relations and he is very helpful if you have any questions, if he doesn't know, he will make every effort to find the answer or help you any way he can. The food was very good. We have vacationed at this resort for many years and my husband commented that the food this year was the best it has ever been. Trinidad is an amazing city, we went in to the Trinidad twice this year, $10 CUC by taxi or there is a bus that will pick you up a the resort for $2 CUC. There is a restaurant called "La Botija" in Trinidad, worth the visit, the prices are excellent, the service is super and the food is great! Check them out on Facebook! The beach is stunning! The weather was perfect. We had a taxi driver tell us that Varadero was raining and chilly. Trinidad was hot and sunny the whole week we were there! All in all we had an absolutely wonderful holiday. I am going back in January to enjoy another great week! I would highly recommend this resort to anyone travelling to Cuba! You will not be disappointed.

everything is very good, except 1) no bike rental 2) no free snorkeling both of them should have, depend on their advertising. Maybe I will have holiday there again.

What a beautiful resort! The staff is all amazing, the food was excellent and the beach is perfect. The weather for the two weeks we were there was picture perfect every day all day long. The rooms are very clean and have lots of space. There is a double decker bus that comes by a few times daily to take you into Trinidad and you can ride it all day for 5 CUC. That was fun. Also if you take a taxi anywhere that is an adventure in itself. Such a fun thing to do, especially if you have a driver who sings etc on the ride. Make sure you visit some of the small villages around the resort. The people are lovely there. At no time did we feel we were not safe and we went off on our own a lot. This is an awesome feeling for sure. This is a great place to vacation. We stayed for two weeks and were never bored. We will be going back there for sure!

Large rooms, clean, hot water, good water pressure, awesome pool, manicured grounds and great food to suit every taste. Management & staff are the best!! Any issues are addressed immediately and they sure make it possible to enjoy a wonderful Cuban experience. Lots of places to visit either on excursions /or double decker bus (5 pesos all day pass) We met many other tourists on the resort & it was agreed that this resort is by far the best in the area!! We are all planning to return same time next year!!! You won’t be disappointed should you pick Memories Del Mar Trinidad for your next vacation destination!!

Great staff. Friendly, especially if you show you care for them. Busy beech but very few panhandlers. It was fairly clean. Early morning crew removed seaweed before sunbathers arrived. Food was OK. but not enough choices for breakfast. Our tourism representative was well informed on all activities in the area and spoke Spanish, English and French fluently. Interesting historical tours with knowledgeable guides of the two nearest cities.

Many times to the Ancon peninsula, but first time at this resort. Lovely room and resort setting, very good food, excellent service, and certainly the best beach on the south shore. Only disappointment--no bicycles.

We have been to this resort many times and under the memories management found the food is better and the water pressure is great. The new paint job really brightens up the resort and rooms. As always the staff is wonderful. We will definitely return and recommend this place.

Very nice hotel, clean rooms, colorful, freshly painted. Designed in such a way that it is close to the beach and to all facilities. Very friendly staff. Good food. Close to Trinidad, which is full of music especially at night.

Memories is a nice clean resort and well layed out, food is excellent, and have alcartes, rooms have been updated and have new curtains and bedding, beach is beautiful along walking Beach they had two pig roasts down by the beach two times. We were there for the week and it was great I would recommend this Resort and we would definitely be going back again service is outstanding staff go out of their way to be very helpful Levi the Sunwing rep is there all the time and he's full of information,take a day trip because they're worth it, and see the town of Trinidad we will be back again

After 2 hours flight delay because of the frizzing whether we where on our way to Cienfuegos, after a friendly border crossing, we go to our bus, welcomed by Levi, in 75 min we are at the resort Memories Trinidad del Mar 01:00 AM Very friendly hard working staff Still diner available for us Large clean rooms with air conditioning and balcony Big restaurant with many seats, good choice of fresh food Long beach with plenty sun beds Trinidad city is 10 miles away, you can visit the beer factory, The cave disco club and many other places, Good Lobster diner at Restaurant Piragua from Casilda 15 CUC

A resort in transition from a one poorly maintained for a number of years to the Memories chain which is slowly making improvements. Pool is too shallow for adults by themselves with a depth of only3 feet. Food is awful in the dining room and specialty (?) restaurant. Meats are over cooked and dry, salads uninspiring and desserts look nice but are tasteless. Flies are a problem and frequently annoying in the dining room.

The hotel had gone though a lot of renovations over the lost six months and now it is getting so much better the rooms are nicely renovated with new beds 👍they have installed new water lines to all of the building! The pool is nice and clean and the hot tub is being fixed the flower beds are being all redone All new chairs around the pool and at the beach The restaurants have lots of new equipment so the food so much better!!!! I can see so many things going on there every day! I have been to this hotel over 24 times! I would recommend this hotel to everyone that likes Cuba! Plus Trinidad is one of the oldest cities in Cuba and has so many things to see!

We have been to this resort numerous times over the last 12 years and have always been happy with this resort, having said that, this resort used to be Brisas Trinidad Del Mar, in December 2018 it changed management and is now "Memories Trinidad Del Mar", the improvements have been amazing! We were there in December when the new management was just making changes and were impressed with what they were able to accomplish in a week, we went again 14Jan and cannot believe the improvements The food was very good, the beach was cleaned regularly and all the beach loungers are brand new. The employees were one of the reasons we keep returning as they have always gone above and beyond for the guests but even they seem to be much happier. The mattresses are new and very comfortable. The rooms have all been refreshed with coffee pots in all of them. (Little things mean a a lot) The manager is just getting started!! WAY TO GO! We are already looking at booking our next trip!

The hotel is nice, the arhitecture is beautiful , the bathrooms need refreshing and updated, the water pressure is missing every day, the pool bar is closed forever, the bodega rhum is closed too, the bikes need to have their pumped tires with air but it is missing the pump , the musquitos practically killed us, they are everywhere day and night, the hotel is cleaned , the pools are cleaned , the air conditioning was new and very well functioning, the fridge was very good, we had received every day a bottle with water for drinking , the cocktails are good, pizza and snacks are excellent , the coffee is so-so, cubatur sales rep. had to be in the lobby 2 days per week, he was never there, we bought our trip directly in Trinidad when we did a trip to visit the city, cubatur kiosk didn’t even have a phone number where to call them, PU at the hotel for our trip was late by 1 hour and a half, the reception desk didn’t have any internet cards or phone cards, we bought what we needed in Trinidad , the landscaping around is very beautiful, the mountains are very close , the beach is beautiful, there is a lot of trees and natural shadow , the restaurant a la Carte is very beautiful and well maintained, the buffet restaurant had the air conditioner switched on, only one day in two , the gardens around the pools are very beautiful and the vegetation is beautiful, palm trees are big, the activities inside the resort are almost missing completely, only by night it was the evening show that entertained the audience, the show was so-so, the beach bar was ok, but missing music , missing activities as volleyball on the beach, missing aqua gym, nothing what was written on the schedule was respected, only by evening time and this was everything. The people are very nice.

Most of the areas were great in the hotel. The washrooms need to be updated as the tubs are stained. 2 days in a row water leakage in the washroom - not sure where it was coming from. I did bring to the attention of the reception. Buffets are great and variety, but no taste whatsoever. I did volunteer to cook but was not allowed to go into the kitchen. Mr. Osmani did accommodate my request to cook but the chef had some reservations due to kitchen policy. I would like to go again, but would like to cook if possible.

We have been travelling to Brisas Tinidad Del Mar for many years and have always been very satisfied with the amenities. We were a little hesitant this year with Hurricane Irma having visited! We did go on Nov 10/17 and Brisas Trinidad did not disappoint us. 2 other friends went with us, they have been many places in Cuba but never to Trinidad, they were very impressed with this resort and the staff that catered to our every need and want. The grounds are kept very clean and maintained, the beach is great, there are plenty of huts and loungers to go around for all the guests. The pool was very inviting and clean. A nice change to the resort is all drinks are served in real glasses as opposed to plastic (other than the pool bar and the beach bar of course) The buffet was clean and the food was good. I certainly cannot rave about the food but I always find something to eat. (we were in Cuba after all) The pizza, hotdogs and fries are excellent at the snack bar. We also enjoyed the La Vigra restaurant as well where the service is fabulous. Above all else, the service and staff at Brisas are the reason we go back. I cannot say enough about the people there. Osmany is the Public Relation Manager at that resort and he always makes sure that everything is perfect. I LOVE the staff at Brisas!! Our room was clean and the housekeeper was exceptional. Clean towels everyday Air conditioner worked very well and we always had plenty of hot water. We have booked another trip to Brisas Trinidad in January and we are already looking forward it to!

Please do not recommend this resort to travelers! The food was inedible, cold and covered with flies. The hygiene practices were disgusting. Most of the staff were rude, not interested in assisting with problems or even to provide guests with service. Hotel ran out of ice and towels regularly. We even had to beg for toilet paper at one point. Barely anyone speaks English or at least they pretended they don't speak so that they don't help you. Water in the room was just a trickle and it was cold. A/C was hit and miss. Shows were repetitive and boring. The beach was a huge problem as well. Garbage everywhere. Some sort of bug was biting in the water and kids were running out screaming. Good luck getting a sunbed under shade/cabana as busloads of tourists from town were dropped off every morning and since the beach is public, they were taking all the spots in front of the hotel. Hotel staff were charging them 2CUC for a chair so they couldn't ask them to leave. You have to get to the beach at 7am to get a spot and even then we had some tourists try to take our towels off our seats so they can claim them as theirs! This resort has a major mosquito problem as there is standing water in front of the hotel which is a breading ground for them. This review is based on many trips to Cuba. We love the culture and the people but this time around, we couldn't wait to get home!

We arrived on the Cubana flight Montreal-Cienfuegos on Saturday 29 July for a week and in an hour thirty minutes we were in the lobby of the hotel, I was the first to arrive at the reception to check in and quickly everything was done quite fast, but now they tell us that the room will not be ready until 4pm, well it does not matter we are going to eat something and refresh that day the heat and the sun were unbearable, we arrived at the buffet all the tables are dirty and there are not even clean plates we wait for almost 20 min to get clean the dishes and clean table, the food was a disaster and the flies everywhere. At 4:15 PM they gave us the keys to the room, we arrived at block 7000 the first of the first floor corner entered and we noticed that the AC did not work and the whole wall where the AC was had mildew, My spouse said here we are not going stay here please get us another room. The girl at the reception was kind enough to give us another key and we quickly moved, but the AC not working and the door has hole in the bottom corner, the fridge and the bathroom also out of services he floor was dirty you see long black hairs all over the room. So I returned to the reception and spoke to the public relations guy and very attentive he apologize and tells us that this will be resolved quickly, he goes and speaks with apparently the boss at the moment and they give me another key but I said that I'm going to see first the room, that I do not carry any more suitcases. The new room was in the same condition except that the fridges works. I turn to my wife and tell her there is no more they are all the same do yourself the idea that you are camping, and she said THIS IS CUBA. |I go back I return the key and tell the guy that we are keeping the old room and please send me somebody to change the fridge. I return to the room to get changed and before we go to the beach I go to the toilet (# 2) and it does not work I tell my wife I'm going to go to the lobby to book in the restaurant when I was actually going to ask someone to fix the bathroom, I explain And they tell me that there are no problems that someone sent, at 20min they touch the door is the maintenance man who comes to see the problem yay or had managed to discharge the rate with the sandbag of my girl. I was fighting for almost an hour and it leaves working bravo arrives the night and my girl goes to the bathroom and already again it does not work :-( I explain that there are problems with the water that we are going to have to use the cubit  and thus we stayed all week. The food and services were not good, the pool and beach were filthy. But it changes on Wednesday, when suddenly everything improves, in the buffet there is more variety and everything is more cleaning, they open the bar that was closed near the pool. What's the matter I asked around? There is visit coming to inspect the hotel, so now because the inspection things are as they have to be. Well at least we got 2 days of what should have the whole week. I will not recommend the hotel to anyone until the change the way they run the hotel and fix all the issues with the rooms

The grounds were nicely kept,the beach was nice and quiet but the room was discusting!!!The food was bad and the restaurant was very dirty.The staff were unhappy to be there!We all got sick and most of the other guests!!!They should not be allowed to operate this hotel!!Shame on you Brisad del Trinidad😡

The Brisas Trinidad del Mar was a beautiful resort with everything we needed! Clean with very friendly and helpful staff and the hotel grounds were so well kept! We took a few excursions to nearby historic Trinidad and snorkelling on the amazing nearby reef! The only small drawback was the lack of live music to dance to during the daytime...we love that about Cuba. Nevertheless, the band that did play was very good! Had great fun and would think about a repeat visit, for certain!

Hi all, this is my second time staying at the Brisas del mar on the ancon peninsula. Great location with a short ride to Trinidad, nice resort and friendly helpful staff! The resort is comfortable, clean and they will always keep you fed and with a cold drink. The beach is sandy with lots of palms and palapa to sit under and the water is Caribbean warm and inviting. Special shout out and kudos for Sander the entertainer, Tomas in security and all the Los Cabo's staff who always took good care of us especially Jaimely. We can't wait to go back next year! I gladly recommend this resort to anyone travelling to Trinidad Cuba!

The grounds and public areas appeared to be well maintained and clean. There seemed to have been a lot of thought into the planning and layout of the resort to replicate the old section of colonial Trinidad. The beach was excellent with lots of chairs, palapas or trees. Some vendors on the public beach but they were not aggressive or intrusive, they simply announced what they had as they walked down the beach and if you were interested you had to indicate it to them. Did not use the pool, not a pool person. The rooms however were clean but poorly maintained. Bathrooms seemed to have poorly done temporary fixes or not addressed at all. eg. it would be better to remove and fill the holes from rusty shower hand supports than to leave them partially secured to the wall. Consistent water pressure and and hot water were a daily gamble, but that may be as much an issue with the availability of water in the entire region due to crumbling infrastructure. Toilet paper was a scarce commodity. Bar staff needs training, you could order the same drink from any of the bars and many could not be identified as the same drink by taste, in name only. The only bar that had excellent drinks was the Bodega Havana Club, the others ranged from pour it out after the first sip to it's OK. Food was typical for Cuba however it should be kept/served hotter than room temperature. Chicken was usually raw/undercooked, beef was overcooked but still tasty, pork and fish were prepared as they should be. A la Carte restaurants were both excellent. I would like to see a larger selection of authentic Cuban food served on a day to day basis as opposed trying to cater to European/North American tastes. Also a bit disappointed in the poor fresh fruit selection, bananas, papaya and under-ripened watermelon, but we did learn that the area was suffering from drought. There was something to eat for everyone there you just had to find it. For the most part the staff was great and as helpful as they could be with the odd sour individual, so, standard for any resort. Many of the improvements could be done by training and awareness (especially for the kitchen and bar staff) and not cost much money.To sum it up the reason for all of the above is BIC - Because It's Cuba. So, in a nutshell, I would recommend the resort to certain people but not to others solely on based on their expectations.

No running hot water most of the time. The location is beautiful with a long beach for swimming and walking. House keeping was excellent and the rooms where clean. However there hotel staff were cold at best.

Wow...where do I start? From the time we arrived and had to wait for 5 hours for our room to be ready. When we got into the room we were greeted with no running water and a broken toilet. The management was very friendly and understanding but didn't fix the toilet for the entire stay of 7 days! We found alternative ways to manage..... The hot water did work but on and off....we basically showered on the beach only. The food was terrible. The flies were abundant and were feasting on the buffet more than the guests. The drinks were good! The beach and the weather was nice. The staff was friendly. The flight back was also slightly delayed. Overall, I am not going back even if you pay me!

-first of all you would think with a large group they would try and keep us all together (rooms) did not happen -we first got a room with 2 doubles and a rollaway (did not ask for) -the next morning we moved ( inconvenient) only because the tour guide made that happen -the ladies at resort front desk were rude, the men were friendlier -the room had a noisy air conditioner old one our friends had new air conditioners no noise -no toilet seat in first room second room had toilet seat had to ask -no safe that worked we had maintencec come in could not get to work -second room safe would not work had to carry valuables around not good -bedding was not changed all week I had to ask for new pillow case-did leave maid tip every day -al la carte restaurant was nice, -there were birds and flies in main restaurant -staff did not understand English -they could have played some English music -all in all the weather was good, good thing the pool was open because the resort Ancon beside them the pool was closed that's where we were going to stay originally -our luggage was damaged, waiting for Cubana airlines to call back, it has now been a week -for 4 star resort it was not very updated, pool tiles falling apart, railings were not sturdy -The Cuban Airport on the way back had a power outage a few times, which caused long wait time -the reason why the location is poor was because there was a three hour bus ride to resort

The food was decent but the 3 alacarte restaurants turned out to be just one. No one seemed to clean the pool very often. We were often picking up glasses and debris out of the pool ourselves. The rooms were spacious and the air conditioning worked well in our room. We had a hairdryer but it didn't work either. The beach was lovely.

I like everything the rooms was good and clean the beach nice the water is calm and the send is white . the only problem the water pressure on the shower was very bad some days was impossible to take a shower no pressure to bad I will give this hotel 5 stars.

The reviews made us worried about our choice to go to this hotel but we felt it was a fabulous place. It needs some fixes,the room towels are thin and the food was repetitive but the staff and overall feel of the resort was just wonderful. Lots of shaded areas on the beach. The beach is really long for walking along. There are 5 bars serving a variety of drinks. Weekly they had a pig roast on the beach to eat at the picnic tables near the beach bar. The architecture is quite similar to Trinidad with the same lively colours and colonial look. It is a much more quiet resort than the one just beside it (very noisy) loud music. There is not much to see as far as snorkling but a boat can take you out at the next resort for 10 pesos but you must reserve ahead. The hotel had a money exchange which was helpful. Considering this was a state run hotel in Cuba, this resort was a really nice surprise. If you tipped once in a while, the service was better if you wanted a much stronger drink but even if you did not tip, the service was very friendly. Trinidad is just 15 minutes away which is really the only reason we booked at this hotel but the hotel was better than some others I have stayed at in the past. If you decide to book here, keep in mind it is a 2.5 to 3 hour drive from airport to the hotel. Not a hotel for vegetarians or for anyone who is looking for haute cuisine, plush towels, or a party place. It is just laid back, quiet, strolling along the beach and relaxing for a week or two. For hotel snobs - avoid but for those who know that Cuba has done exceptionally well considering the embargo over the years and want just a safe place to stay, lovely beach and enough food you can eat (and drink), this is the place for you. Have fun. Trinidad is wonderful too. So much character and the people are very warm and inviting.

I stayed in the ocean view room and had a pleasant experience. The room, waiters, resort staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The food was very tasty especially the barbequed pig on a spit!

This hotel is one of three on the Ancon Peninsula. It is a twenty minute bus ride to Trinidad. The hotel is very accommodating in every way. From time time to time there was no hot water pressure but the cold water was fine for showering. Trinidad is a must see for the music at Casa de Musica. If you are a resort whiner, just stay home. I was very happy with this resort. Great for seniors. Make sure to fly into Cenfuegos not Santa Clara which is too far away.

Love Cuba, it's people and the culture. This resort is on my list as a must travel to, the staff are friendly and always willing to help ensure you have a great time. Osmany (PR Manager) is one of the best PRs I've known and ensures you have a vacation to remember.

We have been to this amazing location numerous times and have no doubt we will go back. The staff are excellent! We absolutely love going to Trinidad to enjoy their many excellent restaurants! The resort is clean and I can honestly say I have no complaints about the food there. It is basic food (Totally organic!) and I look forward to the Cuban restaurant!

The hotel grounds and rooms were clean and very well maintained. The room could have used a small fridge. The beach is beautiful. A jeep trip into the Topes Collantes national park is highly recommended. I would go back in a heartbeat -to the hotel and the park. Only downside - two hour trip from Santa Clara airport to the hotel.

This is a great resort with helpful, friendly staff always willing to help or just give a smile. The food was good, plentiful and the service prompt. I liked the resort theme, grounds and beach setup, as it was easy to get around, get drinks, entertainment etc. It was nice to see the rooms and amenities have been updated and renovated. The location on Ancon Peninsula is fairly close to town and has access to local beaches a sweet view of water and mountains and of course Trinidad. A great place to stay to relax in this area of Cuba, I recommend to anyone!

Well kept grounds, flowers everywhere; decent food; good cocktails (try the Havana Club bar); friendly staff. Sometimes there was a shortage of beach towels. The weather was perfect during our 14-day stay.

The hotel, grounds and rooms were very clean, a little dated but clean. The staff were amazing wether it was the front desk staff or the food servers helping you, you always got fantastic service. Beautiful location on a peninsula.

This was my second time at the Brisas Trinidad , we enjoyed our second visit very much . The main buffet was finished with its renovations. Very bright and large Buffet area now, the selection was good . The staff at the Brisas Hotel are all wonderful . Always ready to help you with all your wishes.
