We have visited this resort many times. Our last visit was in 2018, just prior to the resort renovations. Our most recent visit was 24 February - 4 March 2020. The changes to the resort are wonderful. Bright and airy colours, everything new and refreshed. We stayed in the Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites side and had a room on the second floor of our building. The ceilings are vaulted, lots of light, bright and light colours make the room feel large and cool. All the services were great - reception, concierge, room keeping, buffet service, restaurant service, bar service, and gym. We ate at several of the a la carte restaurants for dinner and the Saona Buffet for breakfast. We noticed that there are improved choices for food from our last visit. There are more made to order options at the buffet and lots of other healthy eating options. Similar for the a la carte restaurants. Anna at the Saona Buffet was great! Animation staff were great. They provided fun beach aerobics and dance lessons daily. The gym has been enlarged and has lots of good equipment-cardio, weights, etc. We enjoyed the new entertainment area located at the front of the resort. You can sit under the stars and listen to a band every night. What I really go for is the wonderful beach. Velvet-soft sand. Lots of palapa and lounge chairs. Not too many other resorts nearby. You can walk on the beach for 30 minutes before coming to another resort. The staff keep the beach rally clean. All the beach facilities are kept very clean. We had a great time, and will return again!

We really enjoyed the grounds, pools, beach and waterpark. The entertainment team always had something fun going on and the shows at night were really well done. The negative was the horrible check-in. It became a 3.5 hour ordeal that we spent being avoided, ignored, put off and extremely disrespected. Finally got into our room which was not what the picture portrayed for a family room so we had to demand additional bedding so we all could have a place to sleep. However the room was a good size to fit us all. The overly friendly concierge (salesman) we had on the first couple of days never spoke to us again after we told him we would not attend his timeshare meeting - we don't go away to waste our time on those. And the food was not good. I am still suffering the after affects of that! I would not return or recommend this resort because of the negative first impression this place gave us and the sub-standard food and drinks.

It was an amazing vacation. Clean. lots of activities. excellent for families with kids. highly recommend. will be back next year. Only negative is that the Banana Boat was too close to shallow water, almost hit a couple on the beach. we got out of the water when the banana boat got too close.

This hotel was by far my favourite in Punta Cana. This was my 6th time to the area and first time at the grand sirenis. The staff was awesome and easy to communicate with. The food was incredible. Our room was cool and comfortable and centraly located to beach and restaurants. I’d go back tomorrow.

This resort was great. The food was amazing. Plenty to choose from. The entertainment in the evening was wonderful. And the events during the day were fun to do. The rooms were clean and well kept. If you needed anything, the maids brought you extras.

The resort was very clean, the staff were very friendly. The food was good but not a huge variety seemed to have the same food every day. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We took our kids to this hotel and they were not really into the water slides, we went 1 day and stayed for about an hour. The kids said the slides hurt their backs. The kids had so much other stuff to do at the pool and the beach the slides were not an issue. The only thing that was very annoying was that the excursion people hounded you for probably 3 days, they are aloud to walk the whole resort carrying their excursion books and nag you

My family stay here Jan 5-12. Kids(14,11 &9) had a great time. Rooms were all freshly renovated and clean and it looks as thou they have done and are working on renovating more. The main pool and beach area was great. The waterpark pool is ok but could use little tlc. Kids didn't care thou they loved it. The entertainment team was great and had lots of things/competitions to do everyday along with great shows in the evening. Buffet was great lots of choices and my kids are fussy eaters they were all able to find something to eat. We also ate at the Italian, Tex-mex, Japanese, American and Brazilian restaurants. All were good my favorite was the Brazilian my least favorite was the American diner. The coffee, donut icecream shop was awesome my kids loved going for ice-cream every day. We had to ask for are bar fridge to be stocked daily and once we asked it was done everyday. Service was good but most of the workers don't speak English so there is a huge language barrier. I've read other reviews about unfriendly staff. I can see where people would get that feeling but I truly think its just the language barrier... we had some wonderful servers who worked very hard to please us by the end of the week they would knew and had tables ready for us and were eager to serve. Overall we had a wonderful trip and enjoyed our stay. I will definitely recommend to other families. If you are looking for a great family resort with good food definitely check this resort out. Someone reccomended it to us and we weren't disappointed!

Our second time at the Grand Sirenis this time at the tropical suits side... rooms where bigger than the Cocotal better when you have couple kids. We love this resort and spent Christmas there, our kids love the water park and we love the kids club service and baby sitting service. No complaints will be going again soon thanks for a another great experience.

We recently visited Grand Sirenis in Punta Cana with another family and had a great time. The rooms we stayed in were fantastic and very clean. There were lots of activities to do for the kids and the service was second to none. We were met each morning in the buffet by "our" server Ana who gave out hugs and high fives. This was definitely a great way to start each day. The beach was fantastic and the Ocean was all we could have hoped for. Water temperature was amazing and very relaxing. The kids favorite spot was the coffee/ice cream shop which was visited daily. We would absolutely recommend this resort to others. You wont be disappointed!

From arriving to leaving the resort was a pure enjoyment! The ground were kept quite nice and the surroundings were very lush! The food and the service was great in all the restaurants... we particularly enjoyed the Brazilian and Tex Mex restaurants! There was one very small sore spots about one concierge being a little aggressive about coming to to timeshare meeting and getting a free gift. We were left alone after the third day but felt we should have only had to say no once. The rooms were great as well with the recent renovations! Especially like the rain shower head in the bathroom. The waterpark was great along with the beach as well. Beach was kept well groomed and it was nice to see added security at the end of the resort on the beach. Felt very safe. The hidden gem was the coffee / ice cream bar on the resort which was open from 9am -11pm. This was a great treat for us and the kids. Was treated with great drinks at all the bars and smiles on all the staffs faces! One in particular Ana at our breakfast buffet always went over and above! Miss you already! Will be returning to this resort for sure in the future.

My partner and I came to Sirenis for a much needed, delayed honeymoon trip. The following is a breakdown of our balanced review of Sirenis. OVERALL AMENITIES: We liked our junior suite. The decor was nice and the room was fairly clean upon arrival. We were hoping for a tub, but the open concept rain shower was great. However, we didn’t love the plasticky sofas in the living room space, but we didn’t sit on them often. We were also very surprised that the room lacked basic amenities like lotion or conditioner. The resort is large and we loved that it fronted right onto the beach. We also really enjoyed the water park, which was a unique feature of the hotel. One disappointing feature was an evident lack of bathrooms around the pool and beach area. The closest bathroom was the one attached to the Tex Mex restaurant, and everyday only two stalls were unlocked for guests. The other ones were either locked, full of cleaning products or broken toilets. Considering the size of the resort and number of guests, this is a design flaw. FOOD: The food was hit or miss, though there was a good variety of options. In comparison to some of the all-inclusive resorts we’ve been to in Mexico, we were not as happy with the food at this resort. There were two exceptions: the turkey club and fries from the room service was phenomenal and we frequently ordered that with fruit platters instead of going to the buffet. We also LOVED the donuts at the coffee bar. CUSTOMER SERVICE: We were extremely disappointed with the customer service. We were not the only guests who noticed that Spanish-speaking guests were receiving obvious preferential treatment over English-speakers. We were shocked by the lack of smiles from the people serving us, from the servers, to the lobby employees, to the bartenders. At the very least, we expected a smile, if not polite and friendly service....but even that we did not get at Sirenis. The exceptions are our concierge, Ethel, who was very lovely and helpful, and the two bartenders we befriended at the beach bar. To make matters worse, I had my new phone stolen in the lobby area on the first day. We were shuffled around to various different people who had varying different responses to how our problem would be dealt with. No one seemed very interested in helping us. We told the lost and found manager where the phone was taken, and were told they would “check the surveillance”. We had to make constant inquiries about whether that was done. Then, we were finally told that nothing was seen on the surveillance and that I “must have left it somewhere else”. I reminded him that my spouse and I were 100% certain that this was not the case, and exactly where my phone was taken. We believe there was a cover-up for an employee who had taken the phone. We had approached the woman who appeared to be in charge of fluffing the pillows on the couch where I left the phone momentarily, and her demeanor told us everything we needed to know. This carelessness and lack of interest effectively ruined the start of our trip. Had the customer service been better, we may have been able to have a good time. Based on this unfortunate experience, I would not recommend this resort to friends or family, and we were disappointed to spend our honeymoon there.

The grounds were beautiful. The food was amazing. All the hotel staff was very kind. There were a couple people trying to sell excursions on the beach but otherwise we had a great experience. The Taíno experience show was great

Hotel is amazing, people is great, food delicious, my only concern and we should be advise in this, is the traveling member ship they offered us. They made us waste our time with a “meeting” they said only 90 minutes, turn into 4 hours, while my kids were frying themselves in the sun without me to put sunscreen. Very pushy at this meeting, even though we told them since the beginning we were not interested. Travelers should be advise of this, so we know how to deal with this situation. Other than that incident the resort is amazing!

We travelled as a family of three. Our daughter is 12 years old. We have been to Cuba twice and this was our second trip to Dominican. Overall we had a good time but we would definitely not return to this resort and it was definitely not worth the money. For the amount you pay you could definitely stay at a better resort. We have stayed at Memories in Punta Cana and Sirenis was incomparable. There was very little for her to do so we were disappointed. The kids club is geared towards younger children. And the pool activities exclude children and only include adults. A few days there were a couple little games set up on the beach but they were quick and unorganized. Check in - Staff were ready for us and immediately started organizing our baggage for us. It was a nice gesture but almost a nuisance as it would have been easier to just cart our own baggage but it could be convenient if you wanted the help. Check in was a little bit slow, not all to the fault of the resort. There were a couple of counters open for check in but the lady in front of us was being fussy over her room location which delayed us a little bit. Staff at check the check in counter were nice and helpful. After checking in we had to take out luggage tags back to the bell boys and they walked us to our room and carted our baggage. Tip was clearly expected but we didn't mind. We went to the buffet after getting settled but they were closing in half an hour so there was hardly anything and it was cold. This was very disappointing after long travels. Our Room - We were in building 33 which was a 2 minute walk to the main lobby and buffet. It was 2 minutes to the pool and ocean, 5-7 minute walk to the coffee shop and kids club area and 10 minutes to the water park. We had a tropical suite which consisted of two rooms, a living room with a small sofa and a pull out sofa and the bedroom with a king bed. Our 12 year old daughter slept on the sofa bed and was comfortable all week. It is a little bit shorter so she had to lay on a slight angle but other than that it was comfortable. There were no blankets for it upon check in so we had to call to reception. Someone came within 5 minutes and they made the sofa bed up for us. The TV in the living room was large but the English channels are limited, it is mostly Spanish. We were always able to find some sort of English show/movie to watch at night. The TV also has hotel information on it which was very nice. It has display options were you could see the general resort info, the daily activity schedule, the room service list and other relevant info. The lighting in the living room was good with 2 different lightings so you could have it bright or dim. Living room had it's own thermostat and ceiling fan. Sometimes the thermostat would randomly change from 15 degrees Celsius to 26 which was a pain to check and switch but even at 26 it stayed cool. No closet for the living room but there was a shelf area by the TV and a side table which we used to store luggage and clothing. The main bedroom had a much smaller TV and did not have the extra information, just some Spanish channels and a few English. Most channels came in quite blurry, some unwatchable. Always managed to find something at night though, and never used it throughout the day. Bedroom had it's own thermostat as well which also reset to 26 degrees a few times. AC did keep it nice snd cold at night. A lot of closet space which used an entire wall and had hangers and shelving in the bedroom, it was quite useful. Beautiful floor to ceiling sliding mirror doors on the closet. Not Tue most spacious room we've stayed in but it was more than adequate. Sliding door on to the patio had a lock which worked without a problem. Adequate table and 2 chairs on the patio although quite small patio area. The safe in our room worked well all week. Fairly clean. Corners collecting dust and dirt behind furniture. The bed had a fabric headboard, there was a small bug smear on side of it. Sheets were always clean and changed regularly. Phone in the room we use a few times to call reception and room service. You can hear quite a bit of sound from the hallway and upstairs and neighbors. Could always hear small children and families in the building hallways being loud and screaming, this usually ended around 11:30pm after entertainment had ended. Music going until 2am one night but we didn't make a complaint, we just slept with out TV on. Room was always cleaned by early afternoon. Floors always washed nicely and beds made up well. Bathroom - Probably the most disappointing part of the room. Very little counter space. I left my toiletries and make up on the shelves in the bedroom closet as there was just no counter space. Lighting was good. Toilet and shower in the same room could be an inconvenience but didn't bother us. The bathtub had some staining on the bottom but was clearly clean. Shower had rainfall showerhead and a handheld. The rainfall head sprayed water all over the floor though. Hand soap, basic toiletries and toilet paper always stocked. Food - There are two main buffets, although only one was open while we were there. The buffet always had something edible but nothing that we looked forward to. A lot of hot dishes were often cold. Most foods had odd labels and you were left guessing what they were. Staff in the buffet mostly spoke Spanish so it was hard to communicate. Always fresh fruit available. The fruit smoothies were very good. It took a long time to get water or drinks and we had to ask most of the time. There was no self serve water so bring water bottles from your room. Breakfast was by far the best meal of the day. Several a la cartes but we had read poor reviews on most so we only tried the Brazilian and Japanese. The Brazilian one was very good. Lots of meat and a small buffet area. The Japanese one was good with the tepanyaki cooking but did get hot in front of the grill. Food was great at both. Beach BBQ had a few things, nothing great, but it was conveniently located between the pool and beach. The lunch buffet beside the pool was the best place to get lunch by far. The waterpark also had a good lunch selection. The coffee shop had great donuts and baked goods, as well as self serve soft ice cream cones, which was delicious. There are bars absolutely everywhere throughout the resort. The lobby bar made the best drinks. The chocolate monkey was amazing. The Pool - The pool is one extremely large pool. It has a beach entry at the shallow end. The pool bar was in the shallow area and it got very busy. It could use more shallow/waist deep area. It goes for very shallow to a small area of waist deep, to 7 feet deep. There was more deep than anything. The main pool area had music going all day and the entertainment team was out full force trying to get everyone involved in activities. Music usually got turned up around 3pm and was very loud. The quiet pool area only had 7 feet deep water and really was right next to the loud pool so it wasn't very relaxing. Locals are allowed in to the resort on the weekend and the pool got VERY busy and the water got disgusting. The foam party was fun but very very busy and crowded. The pool activities often excluded children and were only for adults. We found this odd because we thought it was a family friendly resort. Sometimes tricky to find a shady spot but there were always plenty of sun chairs. Towel exchange located right at the pool. Never had a problem exchanging towels, some we reserved towels twice in a day. The Beach - Beautiful beach. Sand was soft and silky. Palm trees everywhere if we couldnt find a hut for shade we were always able to find shade amongst the palm trees. There are constantly people approaching you and trying to get you to purchase excursions from them. They are relentless. Just make no conversation and say no, they will go away. Picnic tables with shade are plentiful on the beach beside the BBQ. Kayaking and a few other water sports are included and were fun. We snorkelled on the left side if the beach. We used bread from the BBQ to attract fish, it was amazing to have the little fish all around you. General Resort - The resort is beautiful. Well groomed gardens and landscaping. Staff always working hard to keep it beautiful. Lack of service was an issue for us. If you spoke Spanish then you 100% got severed first. When the locals were in for the weekend it was very difficult to get a drink at the pool bar. The staff were all clearly just doing their job and had no real interest in being there. It could be a matter of personal preference. We have decided we prefer a smaller resort. The buffet would often get so busy you would have to wait a little bit for a table. Staff had trouble keeping up with water and drinks and clearing tables because it was so busy. We got room service one evening and the man who brought us our food tried to buy the shirt my boyfriend was wearing, it was awkward. Entertainment - The mini disco before the main night entertainment was the same song and dance each night and was very geared towards small children. We didn't stay up for the later shows after the mini disco because they didn't seem appropriate for our daughter. There was a burlesque show one night and a skit about two people in love another night. There was another small social area with the same lady singing every night. We tried to sit there for a while but it was too loud to talk over. Archery is on the entertainment schedule for 11am daily. We went and waited at the archery spot and nobody came. We tried to ask a few workers about it but none of them spoke any English. We asked the kids club leaders, who sent us to the gym to find out if it was running. The staff at the gym said no that we could try again tomorrow. We had a good time because we made it a good time but wish we had of spent our money elsewhere.

I had visited Grand Sirenis' Maya Beach Resort, Mexico 6 times & based on very good experience there, I decided to try their Punta Cana Resort. I was disappointed. I have arthritis, but was placed very far away from the Buffet Restaurant & pool, forcing me to take very long walks. There was no Electric Car Shuttle Service for a plebe like me! These Cars were only for the use of VIP clientele ! Food quality & service was very poor. At the Tex-Mex restaurant, my steak arrived very late - after prompting - and very cold. The next time, they served my appetizer & main course at exactly the same time - of course my main course was cold. At the Japanese Restaurant, all food was overly drenched in Soy Sauce! ETC.

I've done many vacations in the Caribbean, and this was a first where I had very little to complain about. My mother and I stayed at Grand Sirenis from April 7-14. What appealed to me most was that it was a newly renovated resort. The room we had was clean and new. No moldy/musty smell we often have in humid tropical countries. We had a large room with a king size bed and a separate "den" with a second TV. Check in was quick and efficient (a first) and was very impressed that they asked that we go eat asap, as the lunch buffet was quickly closing up for the afternoon. Food was great, enough selection at the buffets. The a la carte restaurants were so so, was disappointed with the portion size at the Mediterranean restaurant and the American diner took long to come up with a burger and fries. Was happy though with the Italian a la carte, and the Italian at the buffet. The beach was great, with loads of chairs to choose from. There was some seaweed accumulation, but I think that's seasonal, and goes with the tide. It was cleaned up the next day. Pool was nice too, but the more shallow pool was where most entertainment took place and a little noisy. The other section of the pool was less noisy, however deeper than 6 feet, and only good if you can swim in deep water. All in all a great resort.

Just got back from 7 days and overall had a great experience. We booked a junior suite which was clean, and spacious. Fridge is stocked with a bottle of rum, pop and water only, if you are looking for beer you won’t find any.The grounds are well kept, and very beautiful, clearly they are trying to keep as many trees on the property as possible. You can see this since some of the walkways were built around the trees. The property is well laid out and easy to navigate after just 1 day you can easily find what you are looking for. The Pool was meters away from the sandy beach making it very easy to visit both every day. Public washrooms were kept very clean, and always were well stocked. All the staff were extremely friendly, there are a few that made our stay that much more enjoyable. If you are looking for a banana mama made with fresh bananas look for Dariel at the swim up bar! Wilson at the beach bar always happy and cheerful, remembering your favourite drink. The lobby bar had a great atmosphere at breakfast you could always get a mimosa or cappuccino served by a friendly face- Jimmy and Luis.At night the lobby bar got a little more lively and not only a great place to meet people from all around, but the bartenders kept everyone entertained with lots of laughs. This was our first trip ever to a tropical resort. I must say that this was an outstanding resort. The service was wonderful. Everything was in its place and clean. The food was amazing, the variety was never ending. The grounds are beautiful. The beaches had enough lounge chairs. Everyone who worked there was very pleasant and always had a smile. The suite we had was perfect. The location of our suite was the perfect spot. Overall, we loved Punta Cana, Grand Sirenis Tropical suites. Thank you for a wonderful first ever holiday for us.

A nice, compact resort with lots of space at the beach. I was lucky enough to have won this trip and have never been to the Dominican before so was very excited to go after such a cold winter! The weather nice the whole time we were there - if it did rain, it wasn't for long - five mins at the most. 24-27 degrees and sunny every day. All the servers were fantastic and friendly and there was lots of food. I recommend the spa -- I had a massage and hydrotherapy circuit as well. The spa was the highlight of my holiday. This would be a quality vacation for a family or bunch a friends. Not really a quiet romantic holiday for two.

This resort is great. The location is amazing, and the grounds are meticulously maintained. Food was top notch. Waterpark was a great bonus for our family. There were only a few things that made my experience not perfect. There is an issue at the resort with water drainage. On the day we arrived, the check in lobby at the tropical suites side was flooded due to heavy rain. I also witnessed one of the swim up bars become flooded during heavy rain as well. These drainage issues need to be fixed. The other issue i had with the resort was with a birthday package that i paid for. I paid for the resort to decorate our room, and have a cake made and champagne served at dinner for my sons 4th birthday. The cake was supplied, but the room was not decorated during cleaning. I approached the front desk concierge and they assured me the room was going to be decorated at 5pm. We returned to our room after dinner only to find no decorations. This is totally unacceptable. They returned our money, but it doesnt replace the fact that they ruined his birthday. If these issues get fixed, this would have been a perfect vacation.

This resort was fantastic. The grounds are amazing. Very clean and well kept. The staff were very friendly and took the time to ask how you were and if everything was ok. Johanna in the buffet was very attentive and you never lacked a full glass whether it was water or something a little stronger. Evelin was our favorite bar server in the lobby bar. Always making sure you had everything you needed. Hugo was our Air Transit rep and we could not have asked for anyone better. He was always checking to make sure your stay was a good one. The rooms were amazing as well. Very clean and well kept and had everything you needed. The pool area was fantastic. There was wait staff always stopping by for drink orders whether it was alcohol or just water. The beach was very clean and lots of places to sit whether you wanted sun or shade. Overall our stay was amazing and we all agreed that we would definitely go back.

first of all the resort is beautiful. It is well laid out and there’s lots of things to do. The pool area is it was kept always clean and the birth death is willing to wait on you whenever you need something. When we got to the resort we did not receive the room that we had initially booked and wasted a day and a half trying to get a room that we bought. They concreige service was a farce to say the least Once Pedro, our assigned concreige pressured us to attend the time share / vacation club presentation...he pretended to want to help us book and arrange things but nothing got done.

This is the perfect family resort. Rooms are bright, big and clean. Lots of restaraunt choices and great food even in the Buffet. Lots of kids events and the pools are perfect for young ones or enjoy the beach. Staff were friendly. The kids club provided daily entertainment if you wanted to partake. Well done!

This resort is gorgeous with constant maintenance of the grounds. There is a good variety of restaurants and pools and the beach was clean and always had an available lounge chair. It was touted as a Grand Sirenis..., however not all final things are in place, ie. the second daily buffet, service level, some restaurants quality. The rear aquagames waterside, etc park was a great attraction for my kids, however several tiles were broken on the pool floor and most fo the slides were closed for repairs for the majority of our stay. The concierge service should only be used basically for making evening reservations for restaurants. Changes to our room only seamed to happen by speaking with from desk staff. The Sirenis Premium Travelers (SPT) pitch took more like 3hrs rather than the 90min. If you can be bothered by their pitch you get an $80USD credit for the resort. The SPT offer sounded too good to be true so we did not sign anything despite their persistence and several additional 'managers' offering us more incentives. Kind of left a sour taste in our mouth as they were pushy. Best to just avoid it and enjoy your time there uninterrupted. Friendly staff, however seemed understaffed at many of the restaurants and unable to adequately manage the number of people eating as many tables took too long to clear for other guests or it took too long to get service at times.

Réception 4 of 5, room service 2 of 5, food 3 of 5, entertainment 1 of 5, beach 3 of 5, swimming pool 0 of 5 (my son got infected from the pool). Aqua park 3 out of 5, restaurants 2 out of 5. Overall I gave this resort 3 of 5.

Extremely clean resort didn't see any garbage flying around. Almost all staff was friendly and nice except for 1 or 2. Water park is OK. Casino is very small only had blackjack and roulette with a few VLT. Good drinks and good food. Very nice rooms Good WiFi signal within most of resort Beach was nice but lots of seaweed Nice resort

I will just say that my family had a very relaxing and enjoyable time at Sirenis. Was this hotel perfect, no it wasn't, but we didn't have any bad things that stuck aside from air conditioning in room. But we were given the opportunity to change rooms but decided to stay cause room was very nice. Food was surprisingly good at buffet with each night having different theme. We didn't stay on beach much cause our 7 year loved the waterslide park so much. Thank god because one day beach was closed because of jellyfish and the next day a shark! But we definitely had other options like the many pools, which we liked as well. Ohh ya the pools are too warm, which was weird, but still enjoyable. Entertainment was fun, especially for our 7yr old which she enjoyed very much. Very talented performers. Would definitely consider a return to this hotel especially after renovations are completed by December 2018. Ty, tripcentral as well for the ease of buying this trip by phone, Danielle Payette. Food was ok. We found there was not much for the kids. Room was great but staff was rude!! Will never stay there again!! The water park that was advertised was not in the main pool area it was a 20 min walk with no shade or was horrible .staff were rude nothing was explained to us on check in when we left the staff at the desk were very rude. The selection for the food was poor not much for the kids to eat

Went to this resort April 7-14th. We had a wonderful room. The services were all wonderful. Beach is absolutely stunning and goes on forever. The grounds are kept very clean. Food was amazing in the buffet and the a la cartes. Lots of Beach Chairs available at the beach and the pool area. The daily and nightly entertainment was amazing. We didn't want our week to end. The only negative part of the resort was the check in. We were left waiting around for check in. We wish they would have just told us it would be a couple hours and we would have left and came back but they made it seem like it was going to happen quickly. There was no one else checking in with us so I am not sure why they made us wait around for so long.

My overall experience at the serinis resort was quite fantastic. I love the pool side the beach the food and drink where really great as well. The only thing I didnt really like was that the resort was more catering to family and I was a single individual. Next time I prefer a more single resort.

Not a resort that I would return to! On arrival, they had the room under my husbands middle name when I was the one who booked it! We had to wait for our room which was fine as we went to the buffet! When returning at 3pm to get our key cards, the attendant walked away without even letting me know what she was doing, returned 15 minutes later and told me the room wasn't ready. Finally after 45 minutes, we got to our room. There were no beach towels or bathroom towels. After another trip to the main reception, we waited again for 30 minutes for towels. All week, the service was poor! Our personal Concierge was only seen on two days. The room was great - we had an updated suite! The food was the same day after day - there was very little variety even though they stated they had different themes. We only received one a la carte as half the restaurants in the resort were closed. The beach was beautiful, the pool was great (never had a pool that was over 6 feet deep before) and the grounds were very well kept. The bartenders tended to over-pour your alcohol. The water park was a ten minute walk from the resort and open to the public on certain days. We only went once as it was packed. On two evenings, there were venders lined up down the main walkway selling their wares, they were very pushy and some became rude when you said no thank you. My son enjoyed swimming in the pool and ocean every day, the weather was great and it was a week away from the daily grind!

The resort, beach and rooms were nice. But the concierge service was horrible all they care about is sales and if your not interested in buying what they are selling they ignore you and don’t want to help anymore, we were sapped to have 3 ala cartes and only got 2 and when we requested the last one he said no and he couldn’t help us. Very unprofessional and not organized at all. The food was absolutely DISGUSTING i give it a -50 out of 10. It’s too bad because it’s in a very nice area.

The hotel was very clean, modern (usb plugs in the rooms), and the grounds and lands were well maintained.Beautiful peacocks were roaming around. The room was a bit small for a family of 5. Bathrooms were clean all over the hotel. Loved the kid friendly pool and the easy access to the beach. Waterslides are a nice option. We did not bother with the casino or stay up late for the shows. The animation team was fun. Good restaurants, good food, good service. Crowded due to closure of one side of the hotel. Concierge service was not the best. They are under pressure to get guests to show up for the "membership club meeting" which was a waste of time and not great pricing.

The renovated Junior Deluxe Family room was very nice and quiet but room service and food were more a 3 star rating than 4. The A La Carte restaurants were not great. Too many representatives trying to sell excursions on the beach and at the pool.

everything was amazing, the food was excellent, staff were friendly and very helpful. The grounds were kept in great shape. The shows were very entertaining as was the entertainment team. The beach is spectacular. our room 3407 was fully renovated and close to the main lobby. It is on the main walkway, but was very quiet. The only negative was having the vendors there on 2 nights.

We travelled to this resort during our March Break. We travelled with our 3 kids. Lots of other kids at the resort for them to hang out with ( because of the break)? Good thing because there wasn’t much of a kids club. They had entertainment, games at the beach and pool daily. That was good, although they catered them more towards the adults. So many kids wanted to take part but wernt able too for some. The beach and pools were beautiful. Clean, lots of space. Never a problem getting a chair. Easy to get a drink and food at the pool and beach. The water park was a bonus!! Fun for the whole family no matter how old the kids were. Lots of seating at the pool there too. Food and drinks, towels too. It was a nice change from pool and beach. Easy to get dinner reservations. Restaurants were good. Buffet was also excellent! Lots to choose from, even picky eaters. Our room was on the renovated side. If you go to this resort, make sure you are on the Tropical Suites side. We heard lots of bad things about the other side of the resort. Our room was great, nice to have a little more space. Kids liked having their our space too with a large flat screen T.V. This resort is a “ mid range” resort I’d say, and for the money it was totally worth it.

Overall - great family fun. 4 stars as advertised. Rooms - suite worked well for 4 people. Updated and clean. Food - buffets were fine - what you'd expect. Kids (11) liked the food. Breakfast was best. Dinner line-ups could be long at peak times. Hotel could reconfigure the food station situation, but it was fine overall. A la carte food wasn't always a hit, but it was lovely to be served and the staff really tried. Amenities - great to have pool/beach/waterpark options. We also played a bi of tennis - courts were a bit run down, but usable.

Great resort, grounds we're huge, food was excellent, staff were amazing. The entertainment staff are very good they greet you every day and call you by your name. The service medetarinian restaurant is very slow had to wait over an hour for our food.

Hotel room was very spacious modern and suited our family of 5 very well. Grounds were kept tidy and neat. Food was very good at the buffet. Didn't have any luck booking an a la carte meal, unless you could eat at 9 pm. It gets a little late for the kids at that time. Had hot water issues in shower all days except one.

The grounds were beautiful, hotel suite was newly renovated and very nice. A crib was already in the room when we got there. A few ants in the bathroom but no issues other than that. English tv stations available. Lots to do for all three kids who are 10,3 and 8 months. The buffet was excellent once we figured out the least busy times to go. A new buffet opened for us on the Sirenis side while we were there and we never waited to get in and food was great. We only got to try the Tex Mex restaurant -as we couldn't get a reservation at the others - and it was excellent. Waterpark was great! We would go back for sure!

This was a fantastic resort for my family. We have 3 children (5,3,2) and they had so much fun. Buffet had lots of food to choose from. The restaurants were delicious. Staff was very friendly. The water park was fantastic. The only little complaint we had was that the water in the pool was a little too warm.

Resort is very outdated and staff are very rude. Would not go back to this resort. Pool and grounds were beautiful though rooms and service were very poor. Beach was okay very murky waters and rough air transit rep at resort was terrible aswell.

First of all I will mention about the unnecessary stress that the was put upon my family before even left, we were going for our daughters wedding and had been planning this event for months. When it came to the actual time to receive our tickets, my son who just had a baby 3 months previous got his tickets with no mention of the baby. All the information was given to the agent but somehow she forgot to put the babies name in the documents before she left for her vacation....Hmmm in talking to her replacement it was said that she didn't require a ticket. After a lot of phone calls he dealt with an agent from Hamilton and she was able to straighten out the mess. Now to the hotel......we paid extra for a special suite and upon getting to our room, we were disappointed.....lights didn't work, tv picture was like watching a snow storm, when having a shower it took 20 minutes for the tub to empty. We went to switch room and the room the offered us was even worse. We thought that after explaining to the manager at front desk that we brought down 58 guest with us that we should have had better room. Some friends of us paid extra to be on the Tropical site but ended up with the Cocotal side which was supposed to be cheaper. Other guest got to the hotel and were not even registered there. Other than that we lived with what we had and had a good time with the friends we were with. This was our second time at the Sirenis and once the renovations are done I am sure it will be a great hotel again, but we will not be going back......as for Trip Central we will not be booking with them again as many of our friends

Cold food that should be hot, stale bread, onsite timeshare salespeople were irritating, dirty, out of date rooms, construction noise the whole time we were there, 1 towel in room when there should have been 3 (we didn't know this and a 20 minute fight on checkout was the result). Chicken on the beach was good. Also, if I win the $500 gift card, I will be donating it to a local charity to raffle off. I will never book with Tripcentral again and/or recommend a friend, family member or enemy book with TripCentral. The booking process to get on my vacation was more painful than having a baby in the 1700's.

The pools were very nice and the beach was phenomenal. Staff very friendly. Their were enough food options that nobody went without and our kids tend to be picky. We weren't overly impressed with the room (Junior Tropical Suite) as the bathroom was small. We would go back again though.

This was probably the worse vacation I had ever been on and after spending $8000 I will not be travelling with tripcentral or Air transat ever.. We stayed at Sirenis tropical suites from Mar 15-22. First, our flight with Air Transat. We were unaware that they did not serve complimentary food on the plane and if I wanted to purchase for my family that would have been an extra cost of about $60. My family went hungry as I refused to spend that kind of money on breakfast food especially after I spent $8000 on the trip. Second, the conditions of the rooms. The bed was as hard as a rock floor and the washrooms were disgusting with mold lining the shower. Third I specifically asked for a resort that had activities for teenagers. There were many activities for children under 10 and adults (drinking games). They had a show which was ok but as we tried to enter the disco with our kids the security guard would start yelling and said no children in the disco even with us present. So we were back in the lobby trying to get our kids to have another card game with all the screaming Kids and drunk adults. Since I paid adult prices for my kids we would have expected something for them to do. This was the most disappointing part of the whole thing as it was our last big family vacation as our oldest will have a different school break next year. I know you have no control of the guests but if there were activities for the teenagers or a gathering place they would have had fun and so would us adults. Third, although the waterpark was fun and something for the boys to do it was so far from the main resort that they only went a few times.. I'm really sorry to have to send this message but we were very upset that we spent over $8000 and the resort was worse than Cuba. The food was a bit better but not $3000 better... We are just sharing this with you so that you don't recommend it to others and possibly share with Transat...we will never travel with that company again. Again I know you don't have control over the guests but the resort must have had a huge contract with Russia as 90% of the resort was Russian...Russian drunk men don't mix well with teenage girls and Dave was forever almost getting in fist fights as these men even got near the girls. I have to say this was the worst vacation I have ever been on in all my years of travelling... Again I apologize for the negative email but we thought it was important that you knew! Thank you

Sirenis Tropical is an older resort with little to no updates. Rooms aren't great, but they aren't horrid and really who sits in their room while in paradise. It was good got sleeping, however I would strongly recommend bringing your own pillows! Bathroom was okay, tub didn't drain well and there were no face clothes (a huge pain when traveling with two small children). Our maid cleaned our room everyday minimally, never did anything special and we always left a few gifts and a tip! Front desk staff are the WORST during check in!!!!! Restaurants had a descent variety of food. Staff at the buffet weren't great. Often waited 5-10 minutes to get a seat for the baby and drinks. The dinner staff was a lot better! Pool is run down with tiles missing or attempted to be replaced (the work looks sloppy), but its a great pool for kids! The ground are beautiful, and the beach was gorgeous with a great breeze. The waterpark is the biggest perk of the resort and seems to be the newest thing. There are things for kids of all ages. Keep in mind, the bigger waterslides are for kids 8 years and older (we told them our five year old was seven and they let her on them). The large splash pad is for kids and they don't allow adults to go down the slides. I did notice that if you ignore them when they are blowing their whistle to tell you this, they just give up and let you go down the slides. All in all we had a good time. No we won't return to this resort, Vacation is what you make of it regardless of where you stay.

We visited Sirenis Tropical Suites 12-26 February 2017. We picked this resort mainly for the wonderful beach. We had visited the resort twice in the past and always had a great time. The transport from the airport to the resort was efficient. The new road extension makes the drive more enjoyable and quicker than in the past. We didn't have to stop at any other resorts to drop folks off. Our check in was great. Because we had visited the resort before, our room was in the N building, close to the beach. We didn't have an ocean view, but we had great sun at the end of the day while we sat on our balcony relaxing before dinner. The room was a bit stuffy when we arrived, but once the ceiling fan was on, the mustiness went away. Since our last visit they have made some exterior changes such as changing the main walkway to the beach from wooden to tile and replaced the water feature wth gardens. The resort is one of the older ones in the region, and time, heat, and moisture take its toll on the buildings. That being said, even though the resort is looking "tired", it is well maintained. The rooms were well cleaned every day and the grounds are well cared for. We ate at all the restaurants except the Mexican one (closed for roof maintenance) and Route 66( didn't need to eat North American food). Our 2 favourites were the Italian and Steak restaurants. The Jade restaurant food was good, but it was a noisy place. The buffets had standard choices. At times the steam tables didn't keep the food warm. There were microwaves available to heat up your food as desired. Each morning you could get freshly made eggs or omelette and at night, they always had fresh pasta available which were good choices. The serve staff were great. At the buffet, Wendy and her team always warmly welcomed us. The concierge staff for our building were great. Javier and his team managed to get us dinner reservations at the times we wanted. The animation staff was great and busy. They started activities at 1000 and most worked until after the evening show that usually ended around 2200. There was a great variety of activities. All except 1 of the evening shows was performed by the animation and resort dance team. There was also a resort band that played in the lobby and for some shows. All the staff at the resort are very friendly. Wilson, the beach bar tender even knew that when I came with my thermos mugs I wanted water and ice - not beer like most folks did! The beach is wonderful. Being to the north of Punta Cana (Uvero Alto), there are not as many large resorts. You could walk north along the beach for 3 km and see very few people and only 3 other resorts. We could have walked further, but the security guard at the last resort didn't recommend it. There are lots of beach lounges and palapa at the resort. If you couldn't get a palapa, there are lots of palm trees to sit under. Lots of white sand and minimal sea weed. The pool is large and winds around the beach front of the resort. We didn't spend time in the pool because the beach is so nice. As in most resorts there are time share sales people. We were approached by them to see if we were interested in exploring their product. If you politely decline they didn't bother you again. We basically told them that we were here to relax and not worry about finances. I know other reviews indicated that the resort is tired and requires some upgrading. We were told that starting June 2017 they will systematically close sections of the resort and renovate them. I understand this process might take a year to complete. They need to bring the rooms up to current standards, freshen up the common spaces and improve the function of the buffets to keep the food warmer. I would be very interested to return to this resort once the renovations are complete to see the improvements.

Checkin was smooth. Room was NOT renovated like in the pics. Old but clean. Double beds rather than queens like stated in the ad. Super firm matresses. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only 3 ala carte reservations permitted. Buffet was plentiful but slightly repetitive. Pool was huge and ideal for kids. Beach was beautiful but the current was too strong for swimming. Massage at the beach was amazing! Check out was smooth as well. Good stay but wouldn't return.

I found the hotel management very poor Their like of interested in providing people with all the information when registering (IE beach towels internet access) was non existent. We were three days in before we saw any beer in our fridge and only got that after we went asking. We were also suppose to get 3 ala cart meals we didn't any. We were told upon arrival that all ala cart restaurants were booked. I believe that unless you sat through their sales pitches you were not getting them. These were common complaints from most people we talked to. We heard of a case of food poisoning that cost the patient over $1000.00. Another couple that were on the same flight the women twisted her ankle getting off the bus and they received little or not assistance from management. When they asked one of the cart drivers if they would give her ride back to their room they were told members only. We found restaurant and bar staff excellent and very friendly

First time at this resort but it won't be the last. Every single employee at this resort was all about customer satisfaction and did it with a smile. The grounds were kept immaculately and were absolutely stunning. Our room was a little outdated but still it was clean, comfortable and spacious. The layout of the resort was great, it was a five minute walk to the beach/pools or a five minute walk to the main lobby/buffets. Speaking of food, I gained ten pounds that week and as a very picky eater that is hard to do! There was was always something to eat and the quality was much better than most places I have been. Fresh fruits, meats, bread, and lots of delicious desserts made it hard to go hungry. I can't wait to go back soon! I almost stayed another week. Still dreaming of my return!

Overall good hotel, dated a little,very spread out so lots of walking! Very large pool that mostly is 6.5' deep, in need of some repair came across multiple places that were missing tiles, lots of entertainment from the staff everyday,beach was good, no shells, good selection of a la carte, main buffet never let us down,

Quite a nice resort. Main lobby was quite large, open concept, with two large bars. Two large buffet dining rooms and several a la carte restaurants. While we were there a few of the a la cartes were being repaired/re-roofed, others just were closed. The two we went to were quite good though. The buffets' food was fairly good, nothing to rave about but everything was edible. Some of the dishes were a little salty for my tastes but there was nothing that turned me right off. Every night was a different theme night like "Americana", "Asian", or "Spanish" which led to some nice variety. Rooms were decent and cleaned well. We had a problem with our sink leaking but they fixed it right away. Water pressure and temperature were good. Beds were comfortable, air conditioned, had a little 'living room' and a balcony. Theres only one pool but it's quite large and long, sub divided into 4 areas with two swim up bars, leaving quite a bit of space for lots of people. The beach was nice, however on both sides of the resort there is no neighbors, so basically once you leave the property you are on your own security wise. Was never an issue other than locals trying to sell you stuff, though. The staff was very good about cleaning and clearing the beach, plenty of loungers and hutches to relax under. There is a long walkway leading from the main building down to the beach, on both sides of this walkway are where the guest buildings are. Very well manicured and maintained, lots of interesting features. Very pretty walk. Twice while we were there vendor stalls were setup along the first part of this walkway selling various things from rum and tobacco to jewlery and clothing. Would have been fine except the vendors can be quite pushy and aggressive in their sales technique, but that's just the Dominican apparently. You just have to be firm in your "no thanks, not interested" and not get sucked in. Plenty of off site excursions being sold, though I didn't go on any of them. Staff was friendly and helpful. All in all a fairly nice resort, no major complaints.

The hotel grounds were very well manicured and although our room was older, it was fairly clean. The people were very nice although if you have a problem, it seems they will tell you anything you want to hear. We liked the beach....it was very nice. Great for long walks and splashing in the water. Thee were some rocks but we found a very nice spot just a little further west along the beach. The pool was situated near the beach and I found that quite nice. There were shows every night but there were lots of kids everywhere. I would recommend this hotel if you want to have a family vacation but for adults, I would say that you can find something more accommodating somewhere else.... The food was not bad, but if you wanted to book one of the a la carte restaurants, you might be out of luck or have to eat at 9 o'clock.

This resort is situated on a beautiful clean beach, with a 1 hour & 45 minute scenic beach walk. The hotel grounds were well manicured & clean. The hotel rooms were a little dated & moderately cleaned, but okay. The restaurants were okay, but Service needing improving. Buffets were very good, & service; lots of good variety. Casino is small. Water resort was fun & had everything you'd need to relax or play for the day. Pools & all bars were very good. I would rate it a 4 out of 5. Two out of four came home with a gastro bug, but it happens... We had a fun & relaxing week.

Grounds were well maintained. Mid size hotel with good amenities. Waterpark is great for everyone of all ages. Food at the A la carte restauransts were excellent. ie: steak house, Jade restaurant, Route 66 . Buffet restaurants were OK. Always found food that was to our taste. Eddie and Alexandra from the buffet restaurant (Tropicale side) offered amazing service. Julia from the spa at the beach gave fantastic relaxing massages. Thanks to Lucas from the hotel for organizing. Great service from the spa staff. A couple of pet peeves, got sick of the concierges tried to book us into their timeshare appointments. Booking the A la carte restaurants are a challenge. Annoying. A lot of Russians at this hotel. I love meeting people from other countries but I didn't find the Russians to be overly friendly. Also annoying when they consistently cut the lines at the restaurants. Not at all the hotel's fault but travellers need to be aware of the environment this creates and types of guests that most likely will be at the hotel. Other guests were definitely not appreciating it and getting frustrated. Internet was solid and accessible everywhere for us.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We just got back after being at the resort from Dec 24-31 and I was pleasantly surprised with the trip. The first thing to understand is that we were staying on the tropical suites side, and NOT the cocotal side. The cocotal side has not been updated at all, and does have issues. Secondly, the christmas weeks of holidays are the most expensive time of the year to travel and we paid $1700 canadian per person for the trip including air fare, land transfer and a week at the hotel. I have stayed at 4-4.5 star resorts these same weeks and have spent over 2400$ canadian a person. So by saving 700 dollars a person, I know what I am going to get and what I'm not going to get. If you are staying at this resort, you are saving money, but giving up some perks. ok... the review. We've stayed at this resort 3 years ago and on paper it has everything. Great Beach, Great large pool, 2 swim up bars, lots of dining options, a water park, lots of bars, lots of activities to keep you as busy as you want. My biggest beef with the resort 2 years ago was that with the exception of the bartenders, no one seemed to care about making you happy and the front desk was useless. This trip I was happy to see that people on the whole seemed to care more. The Front desk: The check in process is unbelievably slow. We were only 9 people getting off our bus and the check in process still took 30 minutes. They need to scan your passports, triple check things, sign papers, do a number of other things with each family. Oh My Gosh they need to fix this process. There are so many more ways to do this quickly, why they do it this way I do not understand. I did see a bus load of people arrive one time as I was going into dinner, when leaving an hour later I saw the same people standing in line at almost the same place. The resort people need to realize that this first interaction with people is the most important. ok. so if you want a tip and are reading this review, have 1 person of your group go immediately to the desk and be first in line. Let the others in your group get the luggage and such, but being the first in line could mean the difference of a 1 or 2 hour wait. Rooms: The rooms even on the Tropical side are dated, The AC might work, it might not, it might leak water onto the floor, the fridge might work, it might not, it as well might leak water onto the floor. The beds are doubles, not queens and not a single queen. They are in the process of replacing the mattresses (only the mattresses) in some rooms. The pillows do suck and feel like they are just cotton balls inside the pillow. But all the rooms have a sitting area, 2 tv's, lots of storage space and a place with 2 uncomfortable chairs and a table outside. You will not get and ocean view. I don't think any room has an ocean view. Here is the thing though, are you travelling to the resort to stay in the room or outside. I am only in the room for the 3 S's, (sleep shower and _). The rooms do have new safe's. They are electronic and are now free. The beach: beautiful and you can walk for miles. The swimming area is clear of rocks but there are rocks outside of the designated swimming area. Really the beach is beautiful. The pools: Really nice. they go from zero entry to 7 feet deep. They are a good temperature and cleaned each morning. yes there was a light hanging in the pool at one point but that didn't stop anyone from going in the water. Buffets: They are typical AI type buffets. You know that there will be something that you can eat but if you go at the wrong time you might get cold food. A la cartes: ok.. here is a tip.. if your reservation is at 7, be there by 7 and have your full dining party there at 7. The a la cartes have 1 person that takes the orders for ALL TABLES so if you or someone in your party isn't there when he comes to your table, you have to wait until he finishes taking everyone elses orders before he comes back to yours. That is your fault, not theirs. We were at the Steak house when we realized this, a group of 12 sat down 15 minutes after we did but they had 2 people come late. They did not get their order taken for almost 1 hour after. We were done our full dinner and they had not placed their orders. We ate at the steak house, american and italian and were happy each time. The internet is now free for 1 hour a day. Yes, only 1. They have to set your device up. Yes you bring your device to the front desk and they enter the info. Here is a tip, don't try to do it when you arrive, it takes them about 15 minutes to set it all up after they check everything, so do it at a quiet time. Animation team: They are a lot of fun. I got engaged and had a balst as did the rest of my family. I believe that a vacation is what you make of it. If you are the type to look at everything in the negative and complain, then you won't have a good time. If you sleep in until 10, then don't be upset when you get to the beach or pool and see all the chairs are already taken. Other guests. This is really the hard part to talk about. It always amazes me the know of people that leave a stall in the washroom and go directly to the buffet. No washing their hands. No drying their hands. They just head right to the food. If you get a tummy problem, its more likely from a guest than anything else. Or other guests that butt in line or smoke in the non-smoking lines, The resort can't do anything about those people. Oh another tip. There always kids of every age at the resort. If your kid is sitting there complaining about how there is nothing to do, then tell them to put their phone down and go up to talk to someone. So in all, would I go back to the resort again or recommend it, yes, likely if was taking my kids again and didn't want to spend the crazy money that was needed to go to a higher end resort. Remember, you get what you pay for, you are saving money coming to this resort over other places. You make your own vacation. Well not our favorite resort. Buffets were closed from 10am-1pm and 3pm-7pm so not very accommodating for families. The pool side snack bar food was not very good. We arrived at 3:15 so the only place to eat was the snack bar they had no plates or cups and hardly any food. You needed to return your pool towel or you had to pay $20 each towel so you had to make sure no one stole your towel (someone took one of ours at the pool) wasn't a fan of babysitting the towels. We were told that we were not actually in punta cana they just adopted them she so it was about 35-45 min drive to punta cana. A la carts not anything to write home about. beach wasn't good for off beach snorkeling something we were hoping to do. Waterpark was a little bit far from the resort but if you plan to stay for a few hours it's not too bad. Not ideal resort for someone who has limited walking mobility as there is a fair bit of walking and no carts to drive people around other than the "members" time share people. Vendors were really pushy putting jewelry on you even if you say no then won't let you leave without buying something. Of course you need to just be firm and say no or walk away. We realized the route to take to avoid them. The pros LOVED the room large and high ceilings made it feel very open. A/C seemed to stop getting cold every 3 days but one call they would come and it would be nice and cold again, grounds were really nice and well kept, they had a fair amount of activities we liked, their was a show called dance party (I think) that was a really good show we enjoyed all the moves. The coconut party was so funny the whole family enjoyed it. Air transat rep Juan Pablo was really nice and helpful. We had a great time despite all the negative feed back I gave and the time went by a little too fast. Every vacay we learn a little more of what is really important to us. How can you not enjoy being on the beach or at the pool with no chores. Worth the amount we paid for our family of 4

Hotel staff amazing, the entertainment team was really good. Check In: I had to go to ask for extra key and asked for bellboy front desk did not have a clue what is Costumer services. Room should be close for Reno (1*room)AC, TV, plug socket not working, bathroom condition, discusting. Talking with other guest, they had same situation. Will not go back to sirenis, until hotel have a full renovation. Kids activities was really good

It was a nice resort .. Loved the pool and beach . A lot of rude and pushy people made it difficult to enjoy the buffet . The food wasn't very good but the people we travelled with loved it , maybe we were too picky? Our room was musty and had some mold but due to the humidity there it would be expected . The workers treated us with kindness as we them . A word on the vendors they have there , the resort really should get rid of them, very few took no for an answer would not leave us alone even if we walked to the other side of the sidewalk . The shows in the evening were enjoyable ....Would rate it a 6 out of 10

There were 5 of us there to celebrate a 35th Wedding Anniversary. We had a great time. The rooms, food & service was good. We didn't have any issues. They didn't do anything special for the Anniversary even though they knew that's why we were there. The only suggestion I would make is to ask the vendors on the walkway NOT to persist to get you to see their stuff. Asking to view it is one thing but to say you promised, you would stop and actually bother you is another. I'm not saying don't have them there, just not to make people feel bad if they don't stop. I found a lot of the guests did not speak english which was disappointing as we like to chat with people. There were a lot of Russians and a few people from Germany, Spain and Argentina and of course some Canadians who spoke english. The shows were very good. We tried the water park which was fun for all 5 of us adults!! We enjoyed the casino and donated our $20 each per night. Nothing outstanding but nothing went wrong!! So all and all - we had a GREAT time!!

Great resort however the beds were quite firm!! Bartenders were awesome and service was great! Pool was clean and always lots of people! The disco was good and the entertainment was good but could of been a lot better! The water park is great and the casino is small

I would recommend staying on the other side of the resort it is renovated and VERY nice,this side isn't so nice but they say that they are going to renovate.The staff are awesome and very helpful.Hope this helps.

Rooms were pretty good considering its been 18 years since it's been renovated. The main restaurants were very Hot and could use some AC. The water park was great. The food never seem to be quite warm enough, but still pretty good.

Grounds and beach amazing. Kids loved pools and waterslides. Good was reasonable. Only lesser feature was the rooms which were just a bit worn. Staff was friendly. Lots of places to get a drink. Over all good place for the money.

Between the harassment of staff to buy into a timeshare (which they lie and don't tell you about - just go to the "VIP breakfast") and the mold in the room - i can't really decide which was worse. My daughter developed a respiratory infection, and the manager refused to move us. Beaches were beautiful (but the pool also had mold) and my daughter enjoyed the kids club. Would never go back.

This hotel is in need of a face lift. The room set up was good but the furniture needed to be replaced. We had to cover the sofa with a blanket to sit in it. We would not even consider sitting on the patio furniture.

Was a little nervous about going after reading many bad reviews. Wasn't near as bad as some people say. Great beach, nice grounds, excellent staff but dated buildings. Renovations apparently starting soon. Good resort can be a great resort with some much needed renovations.

Hotel was nice for an older resort. Employees lacked customer service skills. I found they pushy, rude, and would only serve you if you held money. The lady in gift shop kissed her teeth at my son for asking to exchange his flavor of chips (direct echange). Had eyes rolling when I didn't want to purchase other items. It's a shame as I loved the resort and beach but some of the workers ruined my good mood most days. I couldn't believe they acted like that.

I really liked the fact that the resort was big, and even though it was full you never felt crowded. The people were very friendly and helpful. The beaches were amazing for walking every day. The food was great. There was a wonderful variety of fruits and vegetables at every meal. The weather , not that they can control it, but during my time it was perfect. The suite I was in was nice and clean, the housekeeping staff were very discreet when doing their jobs. People were very helpful with there information. The only thing that bothered me was the people who would harass you on the beach during your walk to come check out their wares. Also the little market they set up at the resort was nice and a great way to get some souvenirs, but the venders were way to aggressive for me. Someone should tell them that if they let you look on your own without such pressure, that they would do better. More people would stop to look. The way they grab you just pushes you away. All in all I had a wonderful week at this lovely resort The Sirenis Tropical Punta Cana. Thank you!

We went with a group of eight people and had booked four rooms. The next day there was a strong odour of sewer gas in the two rooms. We went to reception and had the rooms changed with some persuasion. The beach was nice and staff was very friendly. Pool needed a little tile work repaired but was nice and big with the activities all on one side. Did not have any trouble getting chairs at the pool or beach.

Beautiful, manicured gardens and property. Gorgeous beach, deep, soft sand. Warm water. Pool areas excellent. Swim up bars great. Pool activities fun. Nighttime shows were enjoyable. Downfalls: Alot of complaints due to very old and decrepit rooms in parts of resort. Food is a hit and miss. Not good for foodies. Steak house quite good. Generally great review. But cross your fingers for a newer room. Apparently big room renovations coming sept 2016..would recommend after that time.

The resort is massive (almost too big), tons of places to go and relax but the beach is the best part. Beautiful and huge we spent most of our time on the beach and didn't even touch the pool, which was smaller than I thought and the swim-up bar only has a few seats! The only part of the beach we did not enjoy was the fact that all the staff constantly come up to you to sell you adventures - same with the venders but they were only there 2 days of the 7. There are plenty of lounge chairs by the pool and the beach as well as covered areas. And we walked for hours along the shoreline which was amazing as well. The food was great, the main buffets always had a ton of food but the restaurants weren't as good as aspected and sometimes too busy for a reservation. The buffet by the pool was good for snacks too. However, a lot of people from our group still ended up getting sick and were still sick once we returned home. The bars were also great, and bartenders know their drinks and are very friendly. The Disco was super fun but one day of the week it was full of staff (Valentine's Day) which was great but it also meant the bartenders wouldn't serve you (we waited 25 minutes for a drink with our friends wedding planner standing beside us not helping) and they wouldn't play any songs you requested. The rooms are amazing. Each has a little living room, air conditioning, stocked fridge everyday, two tv's, two beds, robes, huge closets and a balcony! Overall, the resort would be great for families and other groups or couples who like a large resort where you can sneak away and do your own thing. But it is not good for people who do not want to get hassled every second to buy something, someone who wants a large pool and swim up bar or someone who wants a more intimate experience. I do not think I would return to this resort in Punta Cana but I did enjoy my time!

we paid for an upgraded room and it as worth the extra space but not so much the features! it's worth the money i paid (1300$) but not worth any more than that unfortunately. A lot of walking, which may not be good for an older crowd, and far from downtown which isn't great for a younger crowd. It is a good family resort.

Hotel was nice, friendly staff, grounds kept very clean. Ocean was beautiful and nice big waves to ride. The pool is really nice and big and very easy to walk into as your didn't need to walk down steps. I personally just found the resort too big. Too much walking and really busy.

The beach and resort were nice. The food could of been better. My son got sick one night because of the food. I had a little stomach problems the last day. I liked how the resort was all by itself which made walking on the beach nice and peacefully

Hotel itself needs major updating. ex: condition of the bathroom was disgusting. Bathroom door at the bottom was falling apart. Mold, rust, broken equipment, we had no toilet paper roll dispenser. Bedroom patio door curtains were not sliding easily (needed new hanings). Patio chairs need replacement. Grouting needed to be done all over. But the maid we had always kept the room & bathroom very clean, fresh towels daily, toilet rolls daily and mini fridge was always filled. So maid service was excellent. General areas were good, clean. But again Lobby could use updating and waterslide area needs updating. Grounds kept very nice and clean. Beach and pool area very clean. Bar and restaurant staff and service very good (especially morning Server "Ana" at the Buffet restaurant was excellent). Most employees were pleasant and helpful. Checking in we had a Concierge named Luis, he was very nice, helpful (a little bit over the board at times) but we did not appreciate him indirectly asking for tip for his services. Also we had asked for a room on top level floor with ocean view. We did not get anything close to that.

First the positive - Beautiful well kept grounds. Entertainment team was incredible. Food at the buffet was good. Negative - rooms badly need renovating. Bathroom not great. Chairs on balcony a disaster!!!

The rooms need face lifts and repairs, the pool was in poor condition. Many of the tiles were broken or damaged, algae was found on the walls and most corners. The grounds were well maintained and the a la cart restaurants were quite nice. The buffet was boring, pretty much the same everyday. Sadly, our fault, but we were expecting the white Punta Cana sand that we had on many other trips. This resort is on the Atlantic side so the sand was tan. Nice beach to walk though.

We were given rooms in B block which we were told were the best. When we went to get our keys we were all now in J. J had a major problem with sewer smell & air that didn't work. 2 in our group had to insist on a change due to health concerns. New room was much better but we had to get help from our Transit rep because the front desk kept putting us off. pool bathroom is disgusting. They need someone there more often to clean & supply.. Food was decent & the wait staff very pleasant.

Like that the resort is near the beach. Food was good. Loved the catch of the day but overall not the best resort I have been too. A bit disappointed for such an expensive resort. Would not come back ever.

Traveled with husband, 14 year old daughter and 70 year old mother in law, good resort very big a lot of walking. Resort is showing it's age needs upgrading. The beds a very hard, rooms were kept clean, staff very friendly, food was plenty and very good, evening shows just ok very repetitive.

Nice grounds and pools. Good variety of food. The beach would be amazing if they cleaned it every morning. We did get travellers diarrhea. We paid for a suite and it was old, we couldn't sit on the patio chairs in fear of them breaking, the beds are extremely hard with a plastic cover. The pillows are chunks of foam... Needless to say we didn't get a good nights sleep all week. I will say that they had a beautiful New Years Party :)

The hotel needs serious remodeling. It's very run down. The staff was great. That's the only good thing. The food was ok. Nothing great. The rooms were terrible. 2 star at best. Drinks had hardly any alcohol it them. Desserts not good at all. Entertainers were good.

The rooms are more like a 3 star. Pool 3 star. Lobby and main restaurant 4 star. Other onsite restaurants 3 star. This place is good for people who don't want to spend too much on a vacation and still have a decent experience. The rooms are old, the pool is old and has some mold in and around the tiles. I saw 3 cockroaches in the poolside grill and onsite Japanese restaurant which was disgusting. The slides are not safe - they scratch and hurt the back and your head bounces off them. The upside of this resort was the food was pretty good in the main buffet restaurants, the lobby is nice and clean and the beach is nice. Would I ever go back? No!!! Never!!! Not unless the price was cut in half, then I might consider it.

Upon arrival our party was spilt up we had 15 of us in one building and the other family in the other side of the resort front desk said they could not help us. Rooms were old!! the renovated rooms that we booked were just painted LOL bathroom room WOW - sink leaking water every time we used it we had to keep towels on the ground under the sink. Bathtub WOW rust everywhere!! On day 5 of our vacation someone came into our room and painted over the rust with white paint. fridge not working we asked front desk to fix it 4 times all they did was unplug the fridge and plug it back in (I lost my daughters milk). The pools had mold all over them and the food was not OK but they ran out of everything everyday and would not refill. Entertainment was not worth watching we watched 1 show and never went back. We ate a 1 Resturant and while sitting for dinner there were roches that clawed along the tables.

The overall resort was clean, people pleasant had a wonderful time, would go again had a great time took 26 people with us and they would say the same thing, the drive from airport to resort about 45 min. The food was great would recommend any time.

Its only saving grace was the amount of places to eat in the amount of pools. The sink was falling apart in the room, the walls were filthy, the sheets had stains, and there was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, not just a little bit a lot! , it got so frustrating we just gave up. We made the best of it, the kids had a lot of fun at the water park.

Everything was Ok, but something was wrong with the food as my family experienced stomach pain and diarrhea. Beach was great and shows every night were Ok. Pools were good are staff were amazing. The kids enjoyed everyday of our vacations. Last day after check out, they gave us a room to prepare ourselves for the flight, but the room was very bad, it smelled bad and it was flooded. Good in general, but it could improve more things.

The food was not very good. Beach looked like lake water, very cloudy and not white sands. The pool was very dirty. Service was not good but the staff was nice. Overall would not recommend this resort to anyone.

I just just returned from Sirenis with my boyfriend and after reading reviews we were hesitant but also realize so travellers have higher expectations about the little things then we do so we usually brush them off. Well this time we shouldn't have done that. I would consider myself a well versed traveler when in comes to all inclusives, traveling somewhere every 8 months for the last 10 years and this is the only place that I have gone to where all the negative reviews have hit the nail on the head ! I emailed the hotel prior to our trip to request a room in a certain area and they returned my email promptly says they would do their best but nothing could be guareteed. Totally understandable. What I did not expect was to check in and be put in a room and the very back of the resort that had a pile of garbage outside the door and wasn't even the one bedroom suite that we had paid for. When we were sent to this room... Without a bell boy, dragging our bag across the resort....which I have never had happen at a resort apon arrival.... I knew the room would be unsatisfactory as the lady at the desk said "if this room is not okay come back tomorrow and we will see what we can do". I didn't wait i rolled my bag back to front desk and demanded a new room. Next thing I know they are taking is to another room with ocean view. Again not great room but great view. So we were happy but then we realized that that was going to cost us 200 US to stay there. Refusing to pay they took us back to front desk bag in hand then to check out another room that smelt like raw sewage. Needless to say that at this point we were very frustrated and it was 9pm. We knew they had more rooms as it was a Sunday in sept and the resort wasn't even half full but these were our options. I know they played us because at that point we had no option but to upgrade because everything they offered us was disgusting. I feel like they saw my email and used it against me because they knew what I wanted. I was not happy. I am sure at one point this resort was great but it seems they have let it go. The layout is good and the gardens were very nice. Ana our server at the buffet was amazing always decorating our table for us every morning. And johnathan at the tropical pool bar was great. They made our stay more enjoyable. As for everything else rooms are falling apart, pools falling apart, no ac anywhere really even brutal in room, concierge just wanted to to do timeshare breakfast and would give run arounds with a al cartes. They let the locals in on weekends which is over whelming even let them play their own stereo and music at the pool. This is definately not what we wanted from a resort and will not be returning.

I absolutely loved this vacation! First time to the DR. The room was spectacular. We had 1 Room in building Q007(king bed) and we had another in building N002 (double bed). Both were gorgeous. The bar service by the pools, swim- up bar, and buffet were fantastic. Excellent hospitality and amazing taste at all the buffets and a la cartè restaurants! I tried the steakhouse (get the chicken!), American (was okay), and Italian was great. Workers: (manager) Haveyere (if that's how his name is spelt) and this amazing guy Pilar in the concierge made our stay most unforgettable. Thanks soo much. Beach was okay, I much preferred the pools, clean and beautiful. Ooh and the water park Extreme fun for the whole family! They also have nightly entertainment and an old school Casino still fun. Great Trip over all. If any excursion will be explored do the Catamaran, bar far the best! Enjoy!

This is my first time going to Dominican Republic. I have also been to Cuba and Panama. I don't know if it's specific to this resort or not, but when I'm having difficulty getting beers in a can so that I can drink after 2am when apparently everything is shut down, it makes for some frustrating times. I like to go to these resorts to have a good time and not have to worry about having a specific wrist band to get specific top shelf booze. I was told by tripcentral on the phone that I would have access to all top shelf and that wasn't the case. When I spoke to the airtransat supplier of the issue I was told nothing could be done. The food and weather we're great. The pools were a bit dirty and needed some work. The grounds were well kept. Staff was friendly. Apparently I am not able to get an espresso at the lobby bar before 9am because they are closed. Both times I went to Cuba, I could get whatever I want 24/7 and that includes having fresh fries at 4am not fries that have been sitting in a buffet for hours on end. Also, every 3rd day at this resort, they have local vendors. Avoid at all costs. They are extremely rude and pushy. Were not the nicest rooms in the world, everything I brought back home with me smelled of mold. I didn't have a horrible time but I think this resort is better for families and older couples.

I recently stayed at this resort (April 19-27) Overall this Resort is Amazing!! The Staff was great and super friendly. Antonio was the best beach waiter, ensuring our drinks were replenished every 20 minutes without needing to ask, he was even able to put an early hot dog order in for me:)!! Luis... Breakfast waiter and Mediterranean waiter, also made sure we were well taken care of!!! They beach was fantastic! The water was crystal clear and no seaweed most of our stay. Air transit Representatives were very helpful and spoke clear English and were always on site and if not they left their cell numbers in case of an emergency. My one and only complaint would be that I requested an upper level room as I did not want ground floor and unfortunately I was given a ground floor. Thankfully my sister was staying in her own room and we were able to bunk with her for 1 night while we waited to change rooms. The Staff changed our room the very next day and we were put up on the second floor and much better room. However the rooms were a bit dated and the pillows were terrible:( The food at this resort was delicious, and I mean all of it!! The buffet( breakfast lunch and dinner , the beach buffet , The Steak house, Mediterranean , and my absolute favorite The Japanese. We did one excursion , the catamaran , our tour guide Francisco was incredible!! All in all this Resort gets a five star from us!!!

This was our first family vacation away, the staff were amazing! I have never seen a bunch of people so dedicated to making our stay an unforgettable one. Special thanks to Eddy Rodriguez who was our waiter in the Buffett - exceptional service Thank Eddy see you next year

The Sirenis Resort does not qualify for 4 stars (much less 5 stars as stated on there website). On a positive note: Cruz our cleaning lady and the young guy at the trampolines were nice and polite. Dirty room with water dripping from the ceiling, musty smell, dirty walls and bath tub, chipped and broken furniture. Dead birds and a mouse at the pool. Pool Smells bad, has murky floors and green algae. Stale milk served in my cofee at waterpark . Served myself a salad at buffet, in it was a plastic spoon. Long line upsand wait at buffet. In general staff is misinformed. Some are nice, others very rude. Hotel is in dire need of improving their cleanliness and requires a lot of maintenance work. Employees need customer service
