The hotel is quite lovely with it's architecture and the fact it is low rise (4-5) floors. Our room was great, quiet, good view of the pool and clean. Food often left something to be desired, luke warm, limited choice/variety. The Mexican "specialty" restaurant was a let down. All taco menu. Staff pretty good.It is a family hotel but I found there were too many kids. Large pool too crowded but the adult only pool was nice. Pool bar could have stayed open longer as one has to go way trhough to the smaller lobby bar which can get crowded.I would not re-bookB

The Rooms were clean and neat. AC worked very well and was quiet. Nice size . Had the partial ocean view. The food was average but did find something to eat without a problem. Eating area needs to be upgraded. Some chairs were not the cleanest. Pools felt greasy and needed a good cleaning. Lots of sand in the bottom. Drinks were well made for a resort. Workers were friendly for the most part.

The hotel was clean and well laid out, the rooms were large and beds comfortable! The staff was friendly and helpful, we would absolutely return again! A few tips, get to the pool early if you want a chair beside the pool, don’t just leave your towels you have a seat saver, there is an ice cream cart at 2pm that moves around the resort. The pizza snack bar by the pool is incredible and the lunch 1:30ish buffet by the beach is also very very good!

Nice and small , easy to get around. Clean and pretty as a 4 star should be. Room was a good size but if you tell them to come later to clean because you are busy they never do. 3 star food at best, easy commute into town. Big difference in treatment for those who belong to the elite members club ( club Solaris) and those who don’t. Club members have private pool/ beach chairs and umbrellas( only for them, none provided for non members) +++ Would not go back.

Rating: 3 stars (despite being advertised as a 4-star hotel) From the moment I checked in I was disappointed! Yes I know it is a 4 rated hotel and I have learned my lesson, nothing less than a 5 star from now on. I would honestly rate this hotel 3 star. Room: My garden view was actually of a pool and a clay tile roof with garbage and this made the deck unusable which is a huge disappointment. The shower didn't drain so you stood in water the whole time, the sink took minutes to drain and the toilet would randomly bubble and the water was brown. I asked for a room change and no luck they were "full", which is a lie as it was not full at all. I kept calling to have it fixed but it never was, after my 3rd call, I did see dirt marks on the floor so someone did try but it was never resolved. Food: If you a foodie, this is not the resort for you. I honestly did not have one meal I was thinking "yum I would have that again". Each a la carte restaurant was awful: risotto was bad, sashimi tuna smelled and tasted off, Mexican food was not great. The lunch grill was a long wait as they only had one staff member and guests could not self-serve which was odd. The pizza place line was also long but this one I get as they made them to order. Entertainment: Well, 4 star do I need to say more.... I will say the resort was clean (except the lounge chairs that were covered in bird crap and could be wiped down each morning by the staff), the beds were comfortable and the AC worked perfectly. For the price, the value was just not there for me.

Great kids area separate from resort pool. Included slides, activities and grassy play area. My grandkids loved it.Clean resort, nice staff. Food not overly great, but breakfast choices very good.Unable to swim in ocean due to very strong undercurrents. Pools great but get there early to get a chair.

The staff was so amazing and helpful, trying to help us with our airline problems. We were given the wrong room upon arrival, and Dr J, helped in getting us a beautiful room. The hotel was clean, both the ground and the hotel. They done everything trying to make sure that we had a good time. If I was to say anything that could be improved was the food. The first night, most of the food was cold in the buffet. The pizza from the Pizza Hut was good, but something that I ate at the outside buffet did not agree with me. The guys just inside the resort doors were so much fun.

All good, but we got a horrible room. We were suppose to get garden view, we got shipping alley view. We were suppose to get deluxe room, we got standard room. We were suppose to get king size bed or two double beds, we got one double bed. Very frustrating. And they treat us as second d hand citizen since all they do and want is to trap you into their membership club. Very frustrating, we have never felt like we are dig shit. After we complained about our room they wanted us to pay extra per day to provide us a better room. We totally will not recommend this resort to anyone

Once again the staff were amazing! Seldom do you get to experience of hard working and dedicated staff, This is a great resort! It’s larger than expected but very lovely! Definitely a strong *4star *closer to a 4.5 or even a 5**

Very nice and clean,people very frendly. The Beach is awesome. The location very good, not so far to the airport. The food was good and tasty a lot of choice of vegetables and good fish and good deserts.

The cleanliness of this resort was top notch, the staff were friendly and welcoming, the food however was awful. A lot of fried or oil cooked foods, not many options and little flavor. I realize this is not an expensive resort compared to others and in some ways I expected poor quality food. The À la carte restaurants were alright, Ponchos the food was cold and sending the food back for warmer food just resulted in getting colder food. Marco Polo's was good. I do not blame the staff for low quality food they do their best with that they are given. Lastly I would recommend keeping the bar near the beach open all night as there is little night life at this resort. Over all a good experience.

I thoroughly enjoyed this resort. The staff are so hospitable and courteous. The food was very good and I had all types of delicious drinks. There are elevators so no need to climb a lot of stairs. You aren’t able to swim in the ocean here because of dangerous undertows, but the pools are great. It was nice to have free wifi in my room and in th3 lobby as well.

We stayed at this resort for 7 days. The staff were fantastic went out of their way to make sure you were happy. The food was great and the rooms were clean. I would highly recommend this resort. Omar was so helpful, caring and informative. The kids club guys were fantastic as well.

Where do I begin? Such great memories from Dec 30th to Jan 6th!! Starting with the ease of booking at trip central ably assisted by the knowledgable and wonderful Nicole, to airport shuttle in to the shuttle out, our stay at this resort was simply awesome!! Prior to our departure from Vancouver, Miriam at the travel desk at RS ensured that our pick up shuttle at the airport was on time!(ensure you talk to the very pleasant Miriam for all your transportation needs while at this resort!) The check in process was simple and easy, well greeted by the staff behind the desks and then smoothly transitioned into the very capable hands of Ronnie at the conceirge! Ronnie is a great addition to the RS team! He was very pleasant, warm, always smiling and funny, all at the same time! He ensured we understood everything as regards the resort and its facilities, discount coupons, events for the New Year and also gave us a tour of the RS club membership. We already have a time share in PVR and know what it means to weave through a team of Time share sales sharks!! However, Ronnie and his time share counterpart, Alfredo were not pushy at all and very very respectful of our time and decision. Overall, it's been a great experience here at San Jose del Cabo in general and at the Royal Solaris in particular!! The only downside we experienced was the dining experience at Marco Polo and Pancho's restaurants. The food my wife got served was not what she ordered from the menu but was altered and served without any prior notification. That kinda ruined the dining experience on two nights but from a total experience point of view it was simply great to be at this resort and get pampered and spoilt for 7 nights with the All-inclusive package!! RONNIE TRULY MADE A GREAT DIFFERENCE WITH ALL HIS EFFORTS TO ENSURE THAT WE GOT ALL THE TICKETS AND SEATING TO ALL THE EVENTS!!Truly meticulous and a people's person! Go RC go!!

My family and I decided to go to Royal Solaris in Los Cabos this year for our annual Christmas vacation. PROS: The grounds are very well kept and clean. Very nice resort. Snack bar options; pool bar, sushi bar, ceviche bar and pizza bar. Directly on the beach. Pool is nice. Room was comfortable. Easy to make a la carte reservations (call “0” every morning at 9am) The adult pool is behind the buffet and very quiet and has a nice huge jacuzzi. If you have children, they have a kid section (water park). Location is convenient - you can take the city bus which comes in from of the hotel. We took an Uber with was 3-4$ CAD each way. Los Cabos is very safe and the locals are friendly. Lastly as the spa was expensive in the hotel, I walked across the street to Live Spa for a 25$ usd massage for 30 mins and it was great! CONS: There were 2 nights with no entertainment (tuesday and sunday) The lobby had an outside live band a few nights in the week but otherwise it was not very live at night. There was a DJ every night at 10pm in the lobby with a dance floor but NO disco. I found this to not be fun as there were families out all night with their young children and nobody danced. I did not find the pool entertainment team very great (compared to resorts in other countries) I didn’t even know any of them by name. Also they did not have many games near the pool. I did not mind the buffet food but my parents found it to be repetitive and not great options. The pool was always packed with children. I enjoyed Zai - Japanese restaurant lots of options. Brazilian night at Rodizio my parents did not enjoy as the meat was dry. Italian night at Marco Polo was not great the pasta was bland. French night at Marco Polo was delicious - the salmon was amazing !!! URIEL in the buffet you were amazing THANK YOU so much for serving us daily and always smiling. You are such a great person. ROBERTO (bell boy service) you are wonderful. He was always smiling/making us laugh and was able to assist with any questions we had. NOEL best lobby bartender. MARINA best beach bar bartender - always made the best margaritas ! PS did an excursion to Cabo San Lucas to do a boat tour to the arch which was 50 USD for 4-5 hours including transportation, tequila tasting and free time! Highly Recommend it. It was with Novotours - booked through Our air canada representative at the hotel.

This was our first time to Cabo and not the last. This resort, all though a little tired, is very well kept. The customer service level is top notch. The food was very good. We were there for only 3 nights so didnt get a chance to experience any authentic Mexican cuisine as the buffet was American Buffer our first night and the second night we were reserved at the Mexcian Al a Carte and it was Brazilian night. With that said all of it was good. Beach is huge and considering all of the hotels around very quiet. Small property, Maui style, and fully accessible if that is a concern for anyone. Smooth trip from booking to returning home!

Our rooms were very clean and the pillows and beds were comfortable. The food was great and we really enjoyed the pizza, civiche bar and fresh food pool side. Our waiter around the pool, Ventura, was so awesome!! He was friendly and came by regularly so we were never left thirsty. Thanks Royal Solaris team fir a great vacation. This was my second time there and I can’t wait to go again!!

Rooms, grounds, and public areas were all clean, comfortable and functional. Staff were responsive to requests and made an effort to be helpful and anticipate needs and desires, without being in the way. Good guidance was given on exploring the city and finding activities to do.

the grounds were kept very nice and tidy as well as the public areas the rooms were a little outdated and could use some upgrading the biggest disappointment for us was the food very bland in taste and just overall not very good , the entertainment was very minimal ,the staff was awesome and the rooms kept clean. I know it is not adults only and Would be good if you have children but would not recommend otherwise.

The Royal Solaris is a resort that I would definitely go back to. Not only did the facilities offer everything that my family of mom and dad and adult children wanted in an escape from the cold, rainy days of Vancouver, the people who provide the services were friendly and truly welcoming. The food was varied, tasty, healthy, and interesting. The rooms were roomy, clean, and very comfortable.

Very nice resort, busy, lots of kids. Good food. Lunch was the best, with the options of pizza, sushi, cevichi or buffet. Service in all areas is awesome! from bars to a la cartes to buffet. We had a few a la cartes, all were good. Brazilian was amazing. We took the city bus to down town Los Cabos - 2$ USD per person. There is even someone there to help you get on the bus. A visit to Los Cabos is a must! the marina is bustling....reminded us of Playa del Carmen 5th avenue

In my experience, I found that the rooms were clean, pools had lots of room, drinks were cold, and the activities were fun. The part that fell short for me and my group was the food. You could always find something that was edible, but nothing that was outstanding. We did end up eating off the resort a few times.

We have travelled a lot in Mexico and really enjoyed our stay at this resort! My only complaint would be the really cold pool! It is very clean and well maintained but uncomfortable to get in. I do realize that because we went in January it is colder in the mornings and evenings and more difficult for the pool to be warm but it was freezing! Everything else was great!!! Ramon our poolside bartender was amazing and lots of fun!!

Hotel was great rooms were well kept and clean. It's a resort full of kids though so if your going to relax and a break from kids your not going to get it. The pool very ice cold, not sure if it's because we went in January.

Location, amenities, food, service and staff were absolutely great. Just across the street from a small shopping and restaurants plaza. There is a nice gym facility, but i preffered to use the running/cycling trail. Nothing to complain about.

The place was fine except for the way we were treated as non-members. There was a large push to make members feel extra special. What they didn't seem to realize is, that it made the rest of us feel ignored. There were big special breakfasts with trays of danishes and croissants and champagne for the members, but the same ol daily banana bread for the rest of us. Special towels, reserved front row beach/pool seating, and extra table service care for members. Non-members however, had a hard time finding lounge chairs together. Table servers were focusing all attention on the members in hopes of getting bigger tips. So we often couldn't get our plates cleared, or a coffee at the end of our meal. There were a few really good servers and bar staff who were the exception to this and treated us great, but it was inconsistent. The resort was very nice overall visually and comfortwise, but it was clearly mismanaged. The front check in desk was terrible. Feel free to email for details and pictures.

The hotel is very nice, however it’s the staff and exceptional service that makes it wonderful - the beach and location are also terrific! We returned for the third time this fall and plan to go back in the future! Very good value and nothing lacking

This hotel is very clean, friendly and nearly had next to nothing for vendors on the beach while we were staying there. I would recommend staying there. The only bad thing I could think of is you can’t access some of there areas without a membership bracelet but besides that everything went super smooth. The staff were friendly and came by from time to time refilling our drinks and seeing if we are happy. They don’t push for tips as much as I thought they would so that’s good. Overall this is a great place to just relax and have a good time. P.S there was nearly no inappropriate teens/early 20’s for 4 days I think we were the only young ones there, everyone else was around 30 and respectful

Everything was acceptable. Probably a 4 star rating. Rooms were clean. Grounds, pool, and beach were nice. Restaurant and hotel staff were all helpful and reasonably efficient. Good variety of food at all the buffets.

My family of five with children ages 4 9and 12 went to this resort just before Christmas. We found the restaurants good. My family especially enjoyed the pizzeria and the sushi bar. The buffets were excellent if you went for the local dishes and good if you went for the other stuff. The kids club in this resort is amazing. The grounds for the kids area are large and the room when they are indoors is very spacious. We don't typically put our kids in the kids club but my children always wanted to go. They had a great time and they had both indoor and outdoor opportunities throughout the day. we always chose to go when they were doing water slides or later in the afternoon when they needed a Sunbreak they had a movie. Hotel itself is good.... No a lot to complain about. The biggest problem for me was that the adjoining door between us and the next room had no seal and you could hear absolutely everything. We were lucky to be there during a quiet time. Part of one week we had older neighbours and they were quiet we had a young couple for a few days and I had to bang on the wall so they would be quieter with their exploits and the last two days there was a baby crying and we had to put on a white noise on our phones. It is my largest complaint. We're fortunate to have been there during the downswing. other than that the service is excellent the staff were very attentive around the pool side and at dinner. The kids club staff were fantastic.

This was my third time at royal Solaris San Jose. It was amazing as per usual. The entertainment as well as the food was fabulous! Also, the experience outisde the hotel was great too. The location was great, walking distance to a market as well as the mall. This is a destination I recommend highly.

We had a fantastic time at this resort. The grounds were beautiful and very well taken care of. The food for breakfast and lunch were amazing, but it seems that at dinner time most of the food was recycled. Needless to say we always found something delicious to eat. Also the pizza shack was such a treat for a mid afternoon snack. The drinks at this resort were great, never watered down, always delicious and so many options! The staff were amazing, always went above and beyond to please you. Make sure you hop on the local Urbano bus(which picks you up right outside of the resort and only costs $1 USD) to check out the city centre of San Jose del Cabo and if you get a chance eat at Jazmin's! We also took the local transit to Cabo San Lucas (which you catch up by Le Combre and costs $3 USD) and I highly recommend it. Lots of shops and restaurants. We also took a water taxi for a tour of the Arch. $20 each got us snorkelling gear and a tour. The only down side to the resort is you can't swim in the ocean due to the strong current and waves, but we were aware of this before we booked so we were not disappointed.

The Royal Solaris is in a lovely setting and the grounds are well maintained. We had a corner oceanview room with a king size bed. We had asked for two double beds and twice they showed us different rooms, still with a king size bed, so something got lost in the translation and we stuck with the first room. If you want to hear the ocean, you'll need an oceanfront room. The air conditioning unit was faulty, it had an incessant drip that kept us awake most of the night, so once it was drained, we never put it on again. We were disappointed about several things. We were told by our agent that you should/could make your 3 dinner reservations at the time of checking in. That is not the case. You have to make them after 9:00 each morning of the day that specialty dinner was scheduled. We waited 1/2 hour to get through, only to be told that we could get the 8:00 or 9:00 sitting; when we mentioned the name of one of the managers, Danny, they said they could 'squeeze us in' for the 7:00 slot. What was odd was that the restuarant was only 3/4 full. We then found out that, if you paid a special visit to Nathalie, a service clerk, she could make a reservation for the following night. Other guests have since told us that, if you slip a little extra cash to the host/ess, you might just get lucky and get in on the spot. When we checked in, we were not given an information sheet that detailed the current week's events and featured food nights. Three days into our stay, we had to ask for a copy at the front desk. I raised this point with Nathalie and she seemed puzzled as to why we hadn't got it because it was supposed to be standard procedure upon check in We continued to tell new guests to ask for it. Because we did not have that dinner/events list, some Members Only signage, and misunderstandings with staff, we had no idea that there was a dedicated pavillion/cabana for sit-down lunches; we only went to the snack stations. We also did not like the 'members' only functions, they seemed to be 'in your face' and flaunted. WIFI was not available in our room unless you paid extra for i while other guests told us they were getting free WIFI in their rooms -- either from the hotel next door or because they just got lucky, who knows. We were given the wrong information about the cost of taking a taxi into Cabo San Lucas so thinking it was a little rich for our liking, we never went there. Another misunderstanding. Two couples who were 'timeshare/club' members told us about a marked decline in the quality of the food and service. They will not be returning; neither will we. Our rating: 2 out of 5.

I thought the hotel was very good for an older hotel. The food was good but limited. The rooms were very clean and the staff was extremely friendly. The beaches area was great and extremely spacious .

Safe, clean, friendly, great kids club area, amazing value. Our 3 year old loved the kids area, the staff are great, the grounds are clean, the only negative things are the weak wifi signal in the room, the A/C system works great but the controls are dated and has no auto function. Also the pushy Nexus sales people when you first arrive. Other then that this place is great.

We had a wonderful week at the resort. The hotel is well maintained and the staff is very friendly. Our room was upgraded to ocean view with no additional fee. They do have a timeshare staff that can be quiet pushy. We arrived later at night and they had already left for the day. My biggest complaint is that there is not enough shade on the beach and pool. If you did not get up early enough they were all gone. You cannot swim in the ocean; however the pool is right on the beach. The food was good and plentiful. This resort is about 30 minutes from Los Cabos. They have a bus for $3 US a person that will take you into town. Overall this resort is good value for the money

We spent a week at Royal Solaris and we love every single day ,we had the best time ever the resort was in great shape very clean.The room so clean and smell fresh and nice.We had a lovely view from our room ocean view .The beach is fantastic very wide ,clean and most importent so quiet.We enjoy every single moment.All stuff are very very nice and very friendly ,Carlos best waiter on the beach and all drinks so good.The shows in the evening are great and don't miss the Mexican night with mariache super.The food delicious in every restaurant ,breakfast wow so many choices for me was perfect omelet with fresh orange juice.The shops with souvenirs amazing specially the jury store .And I have too say the weather was perfect no humid 80-85 F and nice blue sky every single day, and long walk on the beach every morning .We all ready miss the place and We will come back for sure .Great place for vacation .The small town is so couse the taxi cost only 7$ from hotel .

This was our first all inclusive as a family and the resort is absolutely perfect for kids. In many ways the Royal Solaris was better than other 5 star resorts we've stayed at in Mexico. For the price we paid, we thought the service, food and entertainment were top-notch. The rooms are a bit outdated but you won't spend much time in your room with all of the great things to do as a family.

the royal solaris was a mid star hotel. The service was satisfactory but the hotel is getting run down. The pools, especially the kids pool was not clean and lots of sand and smelt. In some places the grounds, the hallways, stairwells and sometimes in the eating areas were dirty or not kept clean. The food was what we expected (mid range) and lots of flies were often in the buffet places. Even birds were often flying around and eating all over the place. Not very santiary. Many other people complained about the quality of the food.

The hotel is beautiful, clean, family friendly, the staff is awesome! Benjamin and Carols(air canada rep at the hotel) was very helpful. Jair the waiter from the theatre is the most amazing, very friendly, always willingly to help us. My kids enjoyed their time at the water park. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

This resort proved to be the perfect spot for my family. It catered very nicely to my 2 small children and I appreciated how clean and well kept the grounds were. For a 4 star resort, it had 5 star service, cleanliness and entertainment.

The hotel has definitely recovered from being hit by the hurricane back in the fall. Grounds are spotless and lush. A few of the rooms have been updated/made more modern... hopefully all the rooms will get to that standard. Be aware of which view you get when booking... we had booked garden view and got an awful construction view with the tiniest balcony known to man. We did speak to the front desk immediately and they gave us a great location for our stay. This is a timeshare hotel, so they will try and get you to commit to a short presentation but they aren't overly pushy. You also will notice the members vs non members. They do special breakfasts and dinners that are for members only so they tend to broadcast what you think you're missing out on. Entertainment staff was amazing!!!!! Every single one of them - great energy though the day with activities and games. Evening entertainment was also great. Won't be disappointed with that. Great feature about the resort is the 'whale bell'. At the beach bar there is a bell that gets rung when a whale is spotted out in the water. The bell want off regularly each day and it was a great sight to enjoy. The food was a 4/5. Breakfast each day was exceptional. Lucy at the Olmert station is an absolute star. The 2 a la cart restaurants were nice. Didn't like how the Italian restaurant became a French menu randomly during the week, but the first time we ate at the Italian joint was a 10/10! Food staff, atmosphere... best meal of the trip! Over all, it was better than we expected and we enjoyed ourselves.

Great location close to San Jose and transport to amenities. Rooms are very nice and fridge well stocked. Cleanliness in all interior and exterior areas is outstanding. Staff in all positions are friendly, helpful and go beyond all expectations. Reasons for not fully enjoying this hotel: Food- breakfast is great but goes quickly downhill from there. Tried buffets and a la carte finding all locations below average. Staff did not wear gloves or masks during preparation or serving. Entertainment- all in spanish/very loud and dragged out/little or no enjoyment for guests. Noise- in all common areas (lounges/restaurants/a la carte) is way beyond bearable. Conversations must be shouted across tables. This appears to be a result of all areas are fully closed in and constructed from cement and brick with no sound suppression.

This resort was quite simply the worst I have ever been at. Started out with they could not find our reservation so they put us in an inferior room to be upgraded the following day, next day we had to wait another day. We also met at least 20 people that had same experience. This inferior room even had black mould which they did not clean until next day. the people at front as well as most of the staff did not care or have any clue about customer service. The entertainment by hotel staff was terrible, very amateur. A couple of groups they brought in from outside were good. One day @2 p.m. a breaker tripped so the power was out in half the room, the front desk was notified and we went out for the day. On return, power was still out, fridge defrosted, called front desk and it took someone about two minutes to go reset breaker. The food with the exception of breakfast was horrible!!! Staff made promises they never kept. I could go on and on but definitely never, never stay in another royal solaris

I am not one to normally write reviews but feel compelled to share my experience at this resort. First of all we stayed there 10 years ago and the hotel was much better run at that time. Let's start with the food. Inedible is the best way to describe dinner at the buffet. No selection and always cold. Its like the steam trays didn't work Couldn't even seem to find a hot cup of coffee. The food at the a la cartes was only slightly better and still not hot. Had a few decent meals at Marco Polo but Pablo's was awful. As always a few of the staff stood out but for the most part they seemed disengaged from the guests at the resort. Screaming kids everywhere and could not use the adults pool due to non stop jack hammering and construction noise. I understand about the hurricane but the hotel web site says the construction is complete. Not true. I would say there is at least another year before this hotel will be finished. Lots of issues with the room from missing light switches to no hot water to patio door handles falling off. Overall the hotel was dirty, poorly managed and not acceptable as a 4 star property as advertised. This was our 18th trip to Mexico at all inclusive resorts and this place is in our bottom three. We will not be back

The food is what one might expect from an all inclusive it is ok. The entertainment and kids water park are amazing! The staff is ver friendly and accommodating, rooms are clean! Was surprised that I was able to plug my hair straightener directly into the wall too! Water in the hotel is purified.

This hotel was amazing!! We spent 5 wonderful days at the Royal Solaris. While I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews about the quality of the food and drinks, the place turned out to be a complete surprise. it was the best vacation i've ever been on. the hotel is beautiful and there is always something to do day and night. The staff is awesome, special thanks to Valentin and Victoria at greater desk and Lucy for the wonderful food, Alejo y Paco at the Restaurant Area, my kids love you guys, and they are begging Us to come back soon. Thanks too to Our Trip Central Rep, she made everything easy for us.

My wife and I had a wonderful week. This is a great resort. Food was great. Everything was well maintained. Great location. Just a short walk to shopping and city. Lots of chairs at the beach and around the pool.
