The resort closed and was sold before we could stay there this time. We were refunded and booked at another resort. We were very disappointed as we stayed at Jewel paradise cove a few times and enjoyed it. We also had many trips to Jewel Runaway Bay but it was also sold a few years ago. We are anxiously awaiting a new resort to open at these locations so we can possibly book there again.

This resort is a great size and everything is accessible and walkable. Staff was kind and attentive. I do think this resort is a bit pricier for the overall value it is an older resort so rooms were a bit dated and entertainment and restaurant options were limited.

The staff at the Jewel is the selling point for this resort. You will always see a smile and get a hello everywhere you go. The Jewel is on the smaller side but with all the amenities of a large resort! The food at all of the restaurants, buffet, and beach side jerk hut is delicious. Make sure you try Janice’s ladder challenge (especially #5!) Terry-Ann is your go to lady on the beach and if you’re lucky you can catch some of her dance moves in the evening by the main bar. Definitely recommend for fun and relaxation. I am sure we will be visiting the Jewel again.

Very clean, friendly ..good vibes..beach not great..but everything else worth the trip. Great Service..Buffet best bet...Restaurants very slow service and average food. Would consider going back. Smaller older resort but well kept..grounds lovely..good value.

2nd time back in 6mths, took a group of 21 this time, we had a blast we will be back for sure. Tropical storm hit us on the last eve but it did not spoil our vacation. Staff are great. hotel manager made sure all was well after the storm.

Found this resort to be a nice little spot. Went with a large group. Food was average. Buffet was very average. Not much selection. Beaches were very small. Hamburger and hot dog place was a pleasant surprise. Service in all restaurants other than Japanese was extremely slow. Honestly this trip was not worth the money we paid. Company made this trip enjoyable along with the friendly service. Will look for a nicer resort next time in Jamaica

Was a great little resort, the grounds were beautiful, well kept and very well laid out. The food was great (more than enough to eat). The beach front was a little deceiving from the photos but still very enjoyable. The room was ok , could use some up dating , the deep jet tub was hard to get in and out of for the older people. The water sports girl was simply the best and most hospitable person on the island Great times overAll

Older Resort but well maintained. Food was really good. staff are great. the views are great if you like sunsets this is the place. The rooms are a bit dated but clean. The beach is not a 10 but clean. Will be back soon.

The staff are so friendly and helpful and the food is excellent. We especially appreciated the easy access to the beach. As seniors we liked that the resort is small so we felt comfortable in finding our way around. Just a word of caution to other seniors - there us no elevator and ir us difficult to get a ground floor room and especially one that us t off if the noisy pool area. It took us until the third day to get a quiet room on the first floor

We stayed here for 2 weeks (Feb 25 - Mar 11) with 3 other couples and had a fantastic time. The staff was amazing and so friendly (Whitney, Marvel (can make a mean Coco Loco), Akello, Amoy to name a few). The resort is the right size for getting around, loved that there was a swim up bar at every pool. Food was awesome. Rooms were clean, fridge was stocked daily. (put a small note with a buck or two ) Kayaking was great, snorkeling was great on sight at the small beach I saw lots of different types of fish. (parrot fish, moray eel, barracuda etc.) We went out fishing on the glass bottom boat, that was fun. What we caught and kept we were able to bring back and the chef cooked our fish for us to eat for lunch. Tie die was fun as your own personal souvenir, just remember to bring your own white shirt, hat etc. The dinners on the beach or the one on the main pool desk was nicely put on with live bands playing. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at The Jewell Paradise Cove from Feb 25 to March 11 2023. We have travelled for over 15 years and this is the best resort we have ever stayed at. The food was unbelievable, if you cannot find something delicious to eat then you should stay home. The chefs prepared the best chicken and curry dishes everyday. Special thanks go to Chef Leroy and the team at the Moonstone for the special attention they gave our group, outstanding food and service. You are true professionals. The resort is clean and the layout is great. The landscaping is beautiful. The pools were fun, the entertainment staff were great. The beach is calm and clean, I did miss the ocean waves to play in but not enough to change my mind about this resort. The water sports were available and the staff were so helpful. I highly recommend this resort.to any adult that wants sun, heat, relaxation and appreciates such wonderful staff.

This resort was a perfect size with superb staff and great food options. The beach is small so no walks along the beach however the ability to take out a kayak or paddle board anytime was nice. Loved the jerk chicken hut and yoga classes.

Had a lovely stay here, the staff are kind and sweet and the property itself is such a beauty, what a gem, so well-kept ie., beach, pool, garden, and room was clean and cosy .. food and drink were nice, always found something to satisfy. staff wear masks and luggage and bags are sanitized on arrival. we were asked to sanitize our hands upon entering restaurants. at the end of the ten days, didnt want to go home. it was such a nice spot to vacation in. westjet reps were helpful solving any issues, my hats off to them. thank you for a much anticipated holiday. had a great time, zero complaints.

We enjoyed our week @ Jewel Pardise Cove. The beach is small but always loungers available.The loungers were sanitized every day. The cove was always safe to swim even on red flag days. The food was very good, limited food options with servers handling plate/ food only for covid safety. Rooms were very nice and clean. We had a pool view room / with the best maid ever Evette thank you for making our vacation wonderful.The Platinium Restaurant had great steak and ribs and a shout out to Alistair for the best service.The entertainment was very good. The Sunset Bar was our favorite evening spot.The Staff make this resort wonderful.The lay out of the resort makes it easy to get around and the grounds are beautiful.

Jewel paradise cove is an established resort set on a prime site on Runaway Bay. The grounds are well taken care of. The buildings have had upgrades. There are a variety of places to eat. Good entertainment. Good security. Friendly staff. Covid has made serving buffet food slower but they cope and stay on the safe side. Wonderful getaway for snowbirds.

We were very impressed- resort is immaculately groomed on grounds - the employees are sooo great - everyone friendly and helpful . They make your stay amazing. Food was great - beach is smaller but very calm so if any balance issues your not fighting waves even on a rough red flag day . Bring a bit of bread into water and you will be surrounded by beautiful fish . Rooms were clean and up to date . My only suggestion is they reconsider the music in the evening - it’s very reggae and pop which is great but would be nice to have a lower key option - they should offer jazz or piano bar at top of Italian restaurant.The majority of guests are 40 plus . Some nights just wanting to chill - I find this a issue with most resorts - if your not looking for a long beach then I would recommend this resort .

We were in much need of some R &R. Paradise Cove gave us the luxury of chilling by the beach, snorkeling and other various water sports as well as off resort excursions. The menu changed daily with delicious selections. We found it clean and well kept with courteous staff there to help when needed. Highly recommend this resort if you are looking to chill. They have a pool table, ping pong and life size connect four game for down time moments too! The spa was wonderful! Thanks Althea! Thank you to the great staff for a wonderful Christmas vacation.

The resort is well staffed and kept immaculate, but my group has stayed at a Jewel resort for now 9 years. There was 11 of us this year, there may have been once in those nine years, that we got a room that we had booked. Every year we recieve a room then have to move the next day or the next, to a room we asked for. This year we did not get a pool veiw room,we ended up in building 5 that is half way between the ocean and a pool in the next block. I liked the room but would like the money back that i paid to have a pool veiw. thank you John

The resort is excellent. Food is amazing and staff is very helpful. Highly recommend. Only issue was that the room type was wrong and that the A/C broke down (they gave us a fan which was OK). The grounds are well kept.

The good: Friendly, clean and nice. Would return The bad: paid for a first floor pool side room. Got a second level partial ocean view room. Originally they gave us two guys a queen sized bed so we had to change to two single beds. Flight was two hours late leaving but that happens. Overall I would return but not sure with Sunwing.

I thought the hotel was very good I have been here four years now. The staff are absolutely amazing the only thing I think they need to upgrade is the alcohol to more premium and better the wifi other than that I love this resort.

Being first time vacationers we were very nervous about travelling. Eliana was awesome with answering my questions and concerns and putting my mind at ease. The booking and information went very smoothly. We had a most amazing vacation from start to finish. The hotel was great and we can't get over how great the grounds were kept. We upgraded our room when we checked in and there were no issues. We were quite happy with the room. We noticed the fridge was not stocked but was not a big deal for us and went out on a stroll to explore the grounds. On our return the fridge was stocked and all was in order. The service was most excellent and all employees encountered were very friendly. We especially liked that there was a main beach and also a smaller quiet beach. There were quite a number of swim up bars and restaurants on the grounds. We especially liked the many private settings and nooks throughout the grounds that you can just sit a relax for some private quiet time.There were also alot of activities available so there was never a dull moment. The food was absolutely amazing at the Japanese restaurant and the entertainment that went along with the preparation of the food right in front of us was pretty awesome. Ofcourse we can can't leave out the ever famous jerk hut...lol. Our checkout was seamless and the airport transfer arrived as scheduled. Overall, our experience was absolutely wonderful and we will definitely plan to revisit this hotel.

This place was not exactly as expected. The food was fantastic, staff lovely and comfortable rooms. But the beaches were a disappointment. Not swimmable as it was a small closed off area and the seaweed took over the rest. The pools were good for socializing but again, not deep enough to swim. The grounds very well kept and many areas to explore. I would recommend this resort for a quiet, relaxing getaway but look forward to seeing other parts of Jamaica with more options to walk off resort and get a feel for the island. Is call it a 4 star over a 5 star

Great resort with amazing friendly staff. The food was fantastic and the staff added to what was a great atmosphere. Speciall thanks to Ronaldo in the main dining hall for taking care of us all week. We will definitely return!!!!

Good day This has to be by far my best trip ever a group of 14 of us came here its was absouetely amazing from the resort itself was very clean my bed always made my fridge always full even the grounds were very clean and well taken care of I couldn't say anything bad about this resort ...now the people were always so caring and friendly I loved the people here better then anywhere I've ever been especially Ronaldo..he was a young gentleman who worked the buffet at night he was always so friendly got us everything we needed without question he talked to us every day he was always so happy and he hugged us when we left that's the kind of welcome every where should give when tourists are visiting there country I will always remember my time in Jamaica and Ronaldo....and I will come back even to the same resort even we we left the resort the people outside were just as amazing everywhere we went ....jamaica .....peace..respect love ....until next time ..love from the wilson family

The resort itself was a bit far from the airport but the resort exceeded my hopes for an exceptional time. The people were extremely friendly and acquired the friendship of 1 person in particular. His name is Ronaldo. Ronaldo was our table waiter among other things. He went out of his way to serve our group of 14. I shall remember him for a very long time.

We were a group which consisted of 14 people. The resort was amazing. Our room was so much better than we expected. We had a pool view room . Amazing. The food was amazing. We had an a wonderful man named Ronaldo at the evening buffet help with all our needs and requests. Very polite and a great help. The people were very friendly and helpful. It was a very amazing trip . Would definitely go back to Jamaica.

The hotel is about 80 minutes from Montego Bay airport and after our flight landed we went through customs which I'm sad to say was horrific and then sat on the bus for well over an hour before we left. It was frustrating because we were so tired from a long day of travelling and of course the heat but when we arrived at the hotel we were welcomed with a refreshing drink and a cold towel which was really nice. Check in went quickly and smoothly and we were in our room in no time. We did not have bracelets at this property but did have towel cards. The rooms are spacious with lots of drawers, a nice size closet, a king size bed and a modern bathroom. The mattress was very firm to firm actually but you are only in there to sleep so no biggie. The shower was very big however as other reviews mention it did leak water on the floor. Not a huge problem as I found turning the shower head to the wall significantly reduced the amount of water that ended up on the floor. After unpacking we roamed around the property and we honestly have never been greeted by so many people as we have here. Every worker on the resort said hello in fact the lifeguard grabbed us menus and told the waitress we were waiting to eat. Unbelievable service. All staff we encountered from the entertainment crew to servers/waitress/waiters, maids, cooks, groundskeepers all were extremely friendly. Special thanks to Merric Adam's for our delicious omelettes and friendly smile/conversation every morning. There is a water slide on the property, a number of jacuzzis, a disco and a gym. The property is well manicured and smaller than what we are used to but was well mapped out and easy to navigate. One downfall is there are no elevators. We were on the 3rd floor and carrying our luggage up and down was tough so if you have mobility issues make sure you request a room on the 1st floor. The food was delicious from the Jerk hut on the beach to the buffet and the a la cartes. Our favourite a la carte was Japanese and a shout out to Blackie Chan for cooking our amazing meal as well as his entertainment. The drinks were quite tasty and I have to say my new favourite drink is Jamaican Jam - yeah mon lol. We did not do any excursions as this is our 5th trip to Jamaica but if you have never been to Jamaica I would recommend visiting Dunns River Falls and also a day trip to Negril to Rick's Cafe to watch the cliff diving and also the pristine beaches on the 7 mile. Overall we really enjoyed our trip and would recommend this resort to our friends and family. We hope to return very soon.

From the moment we arrived at the hotel until our departure we felt the customer service experience was top notch. The food was very good, not a huge selection but a tasty selection. Will do Jamaica again!!

The staff and management were great and went to the level to help you out. The beaches and grounds are groomed daily and as well your room were cleaned and stock with all the water and drinks. They have a couple on free tours that a must. Wish we could have stayed longer

This was mine and my husband’s first time at an all inclusive and I have to say it was amazing. The food was terrific, the atmosphere was great and the staff were so nice. We will definitely be going back.

Perfectly aged,gardens beautiful,buildings good shape,pools very good x 3 pool bars, my wife and I did 2 restaurants and buffet all good quality food! Resort has lovely boardwalk & 2 small beaches 1 quiet, 2nd floor bar above restaurant/boardwalk open air great views of ocean , resort has accommodation for all , weddings,bdy, anniversary/ meetings... Going Back!!!!

This hotel was amazing! From the staff to the food to the activities it was never a dull moment! I would highly recommend this hotel and booking a vacation with Danielle to anyone! This was the best vacation I’ve been on in a while!

Hotel is nice, however there is some things that can use improvement. Bad is hard, also smoking area can use some cushions on stone bench, as it is not pleasant to sit on the stone. Food was good, but we were expecting more choices of Jamaican food, sea food. Hotel is very clean, room is nice, specious, balcony can have chairs with cushions. Stuff is amazing, everyone from reception, stuff in restaurant, bar, gardeners are so nice, friendly and trying so hard to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

Let’s start with the spectacular grounds. So lush and well kept. Rooms were clean and bathrooms are incredible! Staff was extremely friendly and bartenders especially. Shows were well done and you always had something to do! The food was amazing! I’ve never ate so well on a trip ever!! Beaches were well kept and snorkeling off the little beach was always fun :)

We went to this resort in October 2017. Everyone in our group enjoyed themselves. The resort very clean, the food and alcohol were excellent. Everyone working in the resort greeted us with a smile. Although the beach is very small and like the name, enclosed in a cove, the resort had a glass bottom boat that took us out to the ocean and guests could snorkel - no charge. We went back this October (2018) and although the employees all work hard to keep the place clean and look after the guests there are many changes that have taken place since new ownership in June. The alcohol drinks are mostly ice. Not blaming the bartenders, they serve what is supplied to them by Management. I asked for a plain Vodka (in a Smirnoff bottle) and it smelled like rubbing alcohol. We had to go out of the resort a couple of times to find name brand alcohol that we could drink. A lot of other guests did the same. The buffet wasnt the same. We didnt starve but there wasnt anything that impressed. The Italian restaurant had delicious lamb chops and desserts with great service. The glass bottom boat now costs $ 30.00 American, per person. We went out of the resort to Sharkies. Its not too far and right on a beautiful beach. It was the only time we had decent fish. My husband had the red snapper and I got the grilled lobster. Also their rum and cokes actually had liquor. Last year the entertainment team were more involved in the nightly entertainment. They would do a "before the show" and get guests involved either on stage or get up and dance. This wasnt the case this year. Very low key. They did have outside groups that came to entertain and they were good. No music during the afternoon by the pool to get people moving. Just a disappointment to see subtle changes in just a few months of new ownership.

First time in Jamaica and it won't be the last. This was a great little resort. Quiet, clean, great food, easy to get around. Lots of variety in settings with the beach and 3 pools to choose from. Each pool area seemed to be a different level of relaxation but all had a swim up bar and hot tub. Perfect if you looking for a fun but relaxing getaway. Beach is small but very private to this resort. It met our needs and we spent each day there. The beach staff do a great job keeping it clean each day. Lots of little nooks to sit and relax in privacy if that is what you are looking for. Great ocean views with a nice board walk for strolling. Rooms were very comfortable and had everything that was needed. Housekeeping was in afternoon and evening to make certain we had what we needed. The Staff is what makes this resort a definite gem. They couldn't do enough for you. Management is very visible and truly interested in your experience. I did not come across one staff member that wasn't friendly and helpful. We will definitely return to this resort in the future. One Love.....

Clean grounds, clean rooms, good food, good drinks! Perfect size resort, everything within a reasonable walking distance. Not a huge beach if you're into that, but the smaller beach has amazing snorkeling if you take your time and look. I've seen everything from puffer fish to arrow crabs to baby barracuda, lion fish and almost everything in between. Wouldn't call it a party resort but we have always found a pocket of fun when we're looking. Staff truly are amazing and really make you feel welcomed. Marlon, Patrick, O'Leary, TJ, Kavin... and so many more, they go out of their way to make a great stay even better. Will return here for sure!

My wife and I went to the Jewel Paradise Cove for our honeymoon this past week. The resort is about an hour from the airport (a bit longer as we had to drop off others at nearby resorts). As per Tripcentral/Sunwing, we were expecting to be welcomed with a plate of fruits and sparkling wine in our room, both of which were absent. When we went to the front desk, they said they were never notified that we were on our honeymoon (the tripcentral employee said they would mention it - but I think they forgot...). We got a small chocolate cake in our room and were invited to the honeymooners event, but we never ended up getting the sparkling wine or fruits, nor the promised photoshoot, which was unfortunate. Beach: It was okay. They have an artificial beach nestled in a cove. The beach isn't so bad, but the water is extremely calm and you can't swim out very far. Pools: The pools were nice, and the pool bars were also nice. Room: We had a poolside room in Emerald Lagoon 2. The room was nice although the wifi in that location was practically non-existent. Another thing that was annoying was that staff would come to the room several times during the afternoon. It seemed there were separate staff for cleaning, changing towels and stocking the mini-fridge and possibly more. I don't know why they don't just have 1 or 2 staff for this instead of 3+. Staff: The staff were mostly courteous, although the attention to detail and full service is lacking compared to some higher end resorts. Activities/Events: We appreciated the free tours to Konoko Falls (very cool!) and to Ocho Rios (tourist trap). There were plenty of daytime activities, although not much after 3pm. The evening events I attended were not too interesting though. Food/drinks: The food was mostly good. Moonstone was excellent (make sure to try the lamb!). Platinum was pretty good. The Coral Cafe buffet was hit or miss. Court Jesters was very good the first time we went, but we had an awful experience the 2nd time as we had to wait 30min after ordering, and then they forgot our appetizer and served us dry and burnt pizzas. The aquamarina beach bar & grill was okay. The Golden Sabre sushi restaurant and Jade Samurai teppanyaki restaurant were both very good. Make sure to make a reservation for the Jade Samurai as soon as you arrive, since it can be booked several days in advance. The drinks were very good as well and they were usually very generous with the amount of alcohol. I have a few criticisms though: 1) Each restaurant only had a limited amount of menu options; 2) There are limited options for breakfast and lunch (Buffet or Platinum for breakfast; Buffet, Pizza, or bar & grill for lunch), meaning the food can get boring quickly. The male waiters who we had were excellent and courteous. I cannot say the same for many of the waitresses, who mostly seemed to not care much about giving good service.

The hotel is very well kept, well staffed and has lots of options for the adult only travellers. There are enough inclusions with a shopping trip, a falls/ garden tour, and glass bottom boat and snorkelling trip that u dont need to book seperate excursions.

My husband and I just came back from our trip to Jewel Paradise Cove in runaway Bay. The hotel was simple but clean. The staff were incredibly hospitable and considerate. They really bent over backwards and helped us out alot!!! The views were amazing. There were so many things to do that were included. We highly recommend the snorkeling! Also there are lots of little areas to sit and take in the scenery in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The karaoke night was awesome. Also the beach party was so much fun. Can't rave enough about this place. We would definitely go back.

Grounds, rooms and food and service were all fantastic. Check in was quick and effortless. beach was clean and had plenty of shaded areas. The bus ride to and from resort was uneventful but on time.

My friends and I stayed at Jewel Paradise Cove during the week of April 8th, 2018 for my birthday week. The awesome reviews we read prior to our experience did NOT disappoint! The grounds were clean and simple. Our rooms were clean, tidy and spacious. The food was delicious, the drinks were exquisite and of course, the beaches were beautiful, sandy and clean. You never had to fight for towels or chairs. Same with the pools. A smaller resort which made it less crowded, more personal and fun! I was able to get up and do a morning run around the resort easily every day of the week. We did snorkeling on the glass-bottom boat and that was by far my favorite experience of the week. The best part of the entire resort was without a doubt the friendly staff that worked there. Everyone including the gentleman at the front desk who checked us, our bell boy, the concierge, ALL the wait staff in restaurants including the few young ladies who were in training (great additions to your staff by the way!), the lifeguards, the watersports staff, the bartenders, the entertainment staff, the groundskeepers, honestly everyone! We even saw a manager a two walking around talking to her staff which I found very good to see them interacting with patrons and workers and not only being behind the scenes in offices. A special shout-out to our Chef at the Japanese restaurant and also Raymond at the grill and restaurants, Adonis also a waiter, Nathan and Carlos the watersports/lifeguards guys, Hayne the bell-boy and the concierge I did not catch his name but we made quick friends with him as he teased me about the size of my "baby feet". I regret not being able to remember everyones names but you could tell the staff remembered you: even you drink orders on a regular basis. I suggest a room in the building close to the nurse's station where we stayed it was very quiet and peaceful. The only things I have to recommend for this place would perhaps be 1 more A La Carte restaurant to be added to the resort. Otherwise keep up the great work and I will recommend this resort to everyone I know and I will definitely be back. Other than the resort itself we had a tremendous shuttle driver from the airport to the resort who took the time and talked about the history of the area and giving us things to look for during the drive. Unfortunately the experience ended poorly as checking-in to our flight at the airport on our way back on April 15th was a nightmare with Sunwing. We stood in line nearly 2 hours only to CHECK IN (there were something like 3 or 4 other Sunwing flights all leaving around the same time). We quickly went thru security (with purchased the Club MoBay passes) but had literally 10 mins to use the restroom and run to our gates. I hope this improves next time around because I would have enjoyed taking the time to purchase some duty-free things and have food before flying. We purchased the Club Mobay and it was AN excellent decision for the transition from landed to the resort (we beat others by at least 1.5 hours and got to use the awesome lounge). Highly recommend it. Unfortunately due to the above-mentioned Sunwing issue at departure, we were unable to benefit from this purchase at all on our way back and did not use the departure lounge which was very disappointing.

We have stayed at many different resorts in Jamaica and this one will recommend to all of our friends. The rooms are a decent size, well maintained, and very clean. The food was very good especially at the Jade Samurai restaurant. The pools and beaches were excellent with plenty of seating. The staff is amazing and are probably some of the best we have ever met in the past 11 years. The only improvements would be having 1 more a la carte restaurant and more seating at the Sunset Bar. You can not go wrong with this resort.

Well kept facilities. Room was small but clean with lots of closet/drawer space. Premium liquors in bars. Food selection was small but good quality. Internet connection throughout the resort. Staff were all very friendly and efficient.

A really nice resort, very well organized and maintained, with helpful and friendly personal. The area is a beautiful garden with a great variety of plants and picturistic boardwalk along the sea. There are two not very big, but nice sand beaches. My wife and I had an enjoyable stay there. Unfortunately the weather conditions did not permit us to take included snorkeling trips.

My husband and I stayed from Feb 19 to 26 in room 637 and had one of the best trips ever. Service,food,staff and accommodations were all excellent. Dining under the stars was amazing. The resort itself was a great size just over 200 rooms spread out over a fairly large area. Beaches and pools were never too crowded and never a wait for a drink. Would return.

Jewel Paradise Cove- Service is excellent, food is very good and I think its important to mentioned that they will cater to any food allergies. Everything is close, easy access and beach is great.....

Had we known about the planned closure of the pool & bar, and the electric hammers, tile saws & grinders below our balcony, we'd never have booked. Very poor show. Grounds were well kept, staff were friendly, Chef Ravi & his culinary team were excellent. I am allergic to onions & onion products, not a single incident & that is very unusual in my experience. Ignore what the Sunwing brochure says about the Curio collection extras, they did not happen. Geared for a younger crowd.

Lovely place. Just the right size. Great staff, lots of amenities, great food, great drinks, great pools, great hot tubs, lovely grounds, excellent coffee and jerk chicken. Lots of stuff to keep you non-stop busy should you want.

well kept and maintained. Staff was awesome. Food was very good. Many options. Golf course needs better management to be maintained properly. Nice course when watered and cut properly. Grounds crew are not managed properly at all. Spend more time on cell phones than working simply because they are not supervised. I know. I was there for 2 weeks and 2 weeks back in June. They should hire me and sales would increase for sure.

We travelled as a group of 11 all of which were 22. The night life at this resort was lacking but good time was had by all. Great food lots for everyone! I recommend the omelet bar in the morning! Service can be slow but youre on vacation.

Resort was beautiful, staff were very accommodating, efficient and friendly. Excellent food, restaurant overlooking the ocean was stunning!! Beach area is small however 3 pools so lots of options for swimming.

I cannot say enough about how amazing this resort was. Wonderful staff, extremely friendly, they took the time to talk with you and know your name. This attention to detail and this level of service is why we will be back. The buffet was changed daily, so there was always something new to try. Lots of different restaurants, we never had to wait for service or a seat. The resort includes 2 free excursions, I highly recommend the Konoko Falls (smaller version of Dunes River Falls) excursion with the resort. If you are looking for a quiet R&R vacation, this is the place for you. We are already planning another trip here next year.

The resort was a perfect size, not too big. All of the amenities were close walking distance. It felt cozy. The grounds were so clean, you always seen someone trimming and cleaning. The rooms were nice and clean, nice smell. The shower was beautiful. The food was so tasty and fresh very appealing. The maid service was astounding! They would always check on you to see if you needed anything 5 stars to them! There was entertainment, but could use a little more. The beach very clean, but a little small. Had alot of water activities you could use anytime. The pools were very nice with hot tubs on the side, and swim up bars at all three pools. Also music. Must try the jerk chicken amazing! !!!! For a nice relaxing adult only trip, it's a good place to go.

This was an excellent resort. Great value for our money. It honestly did not seem like any of the rooms were in a bad location. Ours was as far away from the entrance as you could get but was only a short walk. We could have stayed the whole trip at the resort and been well entertained with the free activities, excursions, etc. Our favorite outing was to Konoko falls and we didn't have to pay anything to do it! We enjoyed snorkeling in the cove, going out on the glass bottom boat, and watching the waves and hummingbirds. We also made our own bracelets, played pool and ping pong, with plenty of time to relax. Absolutely nothing was too busy or crowded either. Took in a massage and Sophia paid special attention to my sunburn, I felt very taken care of by her. Great resort, well worth the price.

This was our second visit to JPC, and fourth trip to Jamaica. We got a great deal on the trip and we were fairly content with our stay. Highlights included: -beautiful, lush grounds -lovely boardwalk along the ocean -the smaller "quiet" beach was crystal clear and was a great place to do some snorkelling. We even found an octopus! -the food was pretty good - nothing fancy, but fruit/veggies were fresh and meat was nicely cooked, and the omelette guy was great! Some things we were less happy about: -one of the three pools was unusable for most of the week - milky water, couldn't even see the stools at the swim-up bar. -the other pools were not very clean - often murky water and lots of debris (hair clumps,napkins and papers, tiles that had fallen out, a rusty screw, even cockroaches in the water!) -poor service at the restaurants. For 7 out of 8 breakfasts, the coffee/tea/OJ we ordered did not show up at all. Waiters were slow to offer drinks and take orders at lunch and dinner. -often only a single person at the front desk, which made for long waits. * Seems like most of the these concerns could be resolved with more staff to work in the restaurants and clean the pools. We travel to the Caribbean twice a year, and this resort was less satisfying than most of our other experiences. OK if you get a great deal, but if you're paying full price you'll have better luck elsewhere.

The hotel was beautiful and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and the beach was nice! Lots of activities were available to keep you entertained and off site excursions were easy to book. The food was delicious! I had a wonderful stay overall!

Everything is amazing there, the food, the grounds, the staff. I felt well taken care of. Never hungry or bored. The resort was never crowded, I always found a chair. I loved the small beach. I felt like a mermaid in the jade water. The water was so clean and clear, that you could see the bottom. Love love love this place. Lots of Canadians there I truly felt at home. This resort deserves all the repeat business they​ get, and they get lots

Everything about this resort was pleasant. Beautiful rooms, lovely beach, friendly staff, quick service for how busy it got at some points. Food was great and drinks were delicious! I would definitely go again.

Just returned from a week long stay at Jewel Paradise Cove...had a fabulous time...resort is very well maintained...staff are great, as was the food and nightly entertainment.. 2 beaches are crappy, though...very small and shallow...pools help make up for it. Rooms are lovely, but very small. As I was travelling with my brother, we had twin beds, which I haven't slept in since I was a child! It was comfortable, just too small...no room for bigger beds in our room, though. Hour plus ride from Montego Bay airport gave us a chance to see the countryside, as it was our first time in Jamaica. All in all great resort, but not if you love long walks on the beach, or an enormous resort.

Stayed at the jewel paradise cove from April 13 to April 20,2017. Resort was small but well layed out. Rooms are smallish but adequate for two people. King size bed comfortable. Mini fridge filled daily with beverages. Chambermaids kept room clean. Air con worked well. Pools good but most scenic pool area overlooking ocean very small with only about 12 loungers and always unavailable. Buffet limited in choice but food was well prepared and usually warm. 3 a la cartes were enjoyable. Loved dining under the stars first night we arrived, food was prepared beautifully. Beach bbq would have been fun but unfortunately weather did not cooperate. 2 excursions included in price were enjoyable. Nice that more money was not required. Beach area was the only reason I would not return to this resort. Beaches are so small and water is shallow. Staff at this resort are outstanding. They certainly have been trained well in customer service.

We spent a wonderful week at Jewel Paradise Cove. We were here in 2012 when it was the Royal Decameron Fun Carribean. We loved it then so we knew with the upgrades it was a win win. The resort is small and that is something my husband and I look for in a resort. The food is fabulous. The staff are fabulous, the grounds are fabulous. Had a wonderful room facing the pool and actually this is where we wanted to be. It amazes me how people who deal with so many guests can keep everyone straight and know what they like. I would go back to this resort in a heart beat.

a beautiful property, great restaurants, lots of activities, everything from cooking classes, jewelry making,goat races to water sports, yoga, fitness trail, and so much more. Something for everyone! We enjoyed the snorkelling and glass bottom boat trips, as well as the excursion to Konoko Falls. Wonderful staff!

We were here over the Christmas break from December 23-30, our room was clean and our families room was equally clean and very much the same as ours. We were celebrating our anniversary on the 23rd and had a nice surprise awaiting for us the next day. The pools were a little cool but refreshing, ocean water was a little warmer and refreshing when your on the beach, lots of activities for you too join in if you wanted too. Staff were awesome on the resort and this makes all the difference in the world at a resort for our stay. While not a 5 star resort, it is a very solid 4.5 star resort in my opinion. Breakfast buffet was good and the restaurants were all very nice, especially liked the grill and the pizza place. It was nice having a coffee at the coffee bar as well. Piano bar was awesome, we had a lot of fun there one night.

This was my husband and my 4th trip to Jamaica and we were not so impressed with this resort. Although the grounds are prestine and being located right on the ocean there is definitely room for improvement. The rooms can definitely use an upgrade. Our main issue was the inconsistency with the service. One staff would gladly bring me a coffee on the beach while the other insists they only serve from the bar. It also usually felt like we were a burden on the staff and they didn't want to be there doing their job. Many times we were greeted with a rude "what's up?" when we went to the bar. A few times in the restaurants we would ask for something and after no one coming back after 20 minutes we would ask again and they would simply say they forgot. There was a minimal social scene in the evenings also, we found many groups wandering as the main bar was quite small. The piano bar was nice on a song a long night but would have been better if it was in a more open outdoor space like the Sunset Bar which overlooks the ocean, is a huge space and yet has nothing going on there at night. I was ready to go to a yoga class until I showed up at the gym and the man had no idea what I was talking about saying they sometimes make mistakes on the schedule! We only chose this resort because of the budget price, however, did not feel like we got our money's worth. I would have paid more to not feel so frustrated many times a day. It's a splurge but I highly recommend the Secrets Wild Orchid where you are pampered every step of the way and it is close to the airport. The distance from the airport alone is not worth coming here. Food was mediocre- never once saw plantain and aki and salt fish! Come one priple, this is what we come to Jamaica for!

Just spent 7 nights at jewel paradise cove and I have to say we loved it! The people are warm and welcoming. The food was delicious, good variety at the buffet, especially enjoyed the meal at the Japanese restaurant. Our room was bright, clean and updated with an amazing view. We took advantage of the free water activities and went paddle boarding and pedal boating. If I had to find one thing that I was disappointed in it would be beach. I knew going in that it was a small beach, but with how it was situated in the cove I certainly didn't have the turquoise clear water and seaweed free white sandy bottom that I expect in Jamaica. Sometimes I felt like I was in a lake in Ontario but warmer.

Everything was great at this resort! Good food nice room excellent service beach is not the best but snorkelling was amazing right in the cove beach. $300 resort credit is a plus. Used it at the spa. Sooo nice!! Definitely would return but will not fly Sunwing again so probably can't return

It's quite the place... everybody is really friendly not just the first day but the whole week!!! We were always greeted with a smile everywhere we went. The bartender at our pool(we had pool view rooms) was awesome... his name is Oshane! He made our trip really memorable. The beach is not really nice but we could walk a 10 minute walk and that public beach was really nice! All the "A la carte" were really good but my favorite was the Italian. I will definitely return to this resort!!

Very small beach ...no liquor in room ...food was ok ..staff was nice .. No smoking on balcony or on beach only designated areas !! Buffet was not air conditioned very hot & birds flying around will you eat

We stayed at the Jewel Paradise from April 1st to 15th. The resort was great and the staff were outstanding.They were the friendliest and most helpful staff I have ever encountered in my travels.The grounds were beautiful and well kept. The food was good and there was always a variety. We really enjoyed our stay.

The staff were superb. Very helpful if you were looking for something. The groundskeeper's were pleasant and they kept the resort beautiful. Jasmine was the house keeping person and she was fantastic.

Where do I start... I read all of the reviews before heading out and thought I was in for an amazing experience.. I was disappointed. I knew the beach was man made before going so I won't comment on it other than yes, it's man made. Lots of chairs and shade, no need to get up early to save as you can always find a seat. Beach bar service was excellent and Orlando and Theanell made sure that we had every drink we needed. The water activities were great and have to compliment Robert on his sailing abilities! The a la carte restaurants were excellent but the buffet lacked a lot of choice, mind you service was great! Merrick rocked the omelettes. The dining under the stars and the beach party were a great touch. Now for the facilities... the rooms were horrid, I went with a friend so we ended up in single beds, the room when we arrived( hair in bed and vomit smell in the corner) wasn't clean. I don't know if they were so much dirty or dated. Don't look under the beds or around the baseboards or in the corners...YUCK! As soon as we called, this was rectified. The coffee shop and rum cream was my favourite stop each night. The entertainment didn't turn my crank so didn't spend much time there. Did I have a good vacation, sure...Did I have a great vacation, not really...

Delicious food, lots of inclusions, comfortable rooms, amazing pools, and very friendly staff. I went knowing the beach wasn't great and I thought I was prepared for it, but I wasn't. Overall great resort!! Only thing preventing 5* is the small beach and limited shade around the pools. If you're a pool person, don't hesitate. The swim up bars alone will keep you happy!

This is a small resort, but perfect..Grounds. & rooms.spotless, always cleaning Staff by far the best, each & everyone of them..Food was fantastic.. Only 1 downfall was the beach, not good at all for walking or swimming..

The hotel is exactly as shown. Small enough to never get lost, to connect with the staff but large enough to feel like a resort. My favorite restaurant was the Moonstone due to the ocean views and openness of it. The food was great throughout the resort. Special note the Aquamarine Grill Jerk Chicken was a daily lunch for us. We participated with the water sports included. Never a wait. We also enjoyed that the a la cartes were available as walk in guest. No one wants commitment on vacation :) Also the Dining Under the Stars and the Beach Party, the staff puts so much work into this and they are the high spots of the vacation. We loved this hotel and were sad to leave after 10 days! Did I mention golf? 5 minutes away, easy shuttle and a great caddy - John!

Quiet, Spacious, Clean, Bright, Cozy, Great Food. Great Entertainment. The Sing along Piano Bar at 10:30pm was my Favorite. Great Maid Service. Free Water Sports. Hard Working Staff that go out of there way to please you and to make your Vacation a Memorable one. Great Resort.

Semi conflicted...Wonderful staff/service, terrific food/variety, beautifully maintained landscaping, POOLS were nice...beach not so much, entertainment a little lacking...goat races not so much fun for the goats, slide...FUN!, snorkelling...Awesome!

This is an overall GREAT place to go for Great food and a relaxing time! Its a pure couples resort , smaller , easy to get around, and one of the best mannered staffs we ever had for a 4 star hotel. It's a TURE 4 to 4+ Resort with CONS: 1) FOOD, 2) RESORT SMALL BUT VERY CLEAN, 3)GREAT STAFF, ALWAY FUN GAMES GOING ON IF YOU WANT 4) ALWAYS FEEL SAFE 5) LOTS OF BARS & RESTAURANTS FOR A SMALL 200 ROOM HOTEL ... , the only real down is a smaller beach area, but its still enough to kick back and relax and enjoy. Always chairs available at this resort everywhere. We loved this placed very much, great bang for your buck, we will definitely return in the future. Thanks to our great Agent Jen Huet. who found this little cool resort with lots of love and character. Great pick again for our 11 day Trip. :) You know us too Great!! TTYS for the Next One :)

Every aspect of this resort is well cared for by pleasant employees who truly seem pleased to serve guests. I enjoyed the informative Nature Walk on the wide variety of plants on the grounds. Red flag days meant we couldn't do the many resort inclusive water activities during our stay which was disappointing but not the fault of the resort. The Spa facilities open 24 hour/day. But Yoga and Pilate classes were just too early in the morning for me. Pools are very shallow at 4 ft. And the shallow Ocean swimming areas require protective water slippers. Lots of chaise lounges on the 2 private cove beaches.

Great hotel, excellent service and dining, free excursions, manicured grounds, lots of water and sports activities, unlimited a la cartes, all the staff treats you like royality and spa facilities-WILL GO BACK FOR SURE

The grounds were lovely and the view of the ocean is spectacular . Loved hearing the crash of the waves. Beach was very disappointing. I knew it would be small butt it was so shallow that you couldn't even swim in it. On certain days it was also over run by cruise ship people.Food was very good and the Jamican dishes in particular were always available at the buffet and were such a nice way to experience the culture. Staff was well mannered but somewhat aloof. I didn't mind this since I don't love the overly familiarity of the staff at soem resorts.

The resort is on smaller which is nice because it is much more personalized. The grounds are well kept and Uriah one of the groundskeepers was very helpful too. The staff are great, George the concierge was excellent always willing to go the extra mile. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent

Really enjoyed this hotel, everything is close to get to; lots of sun loungers where ever you chose to stay. We enjoyed the hammocks that are located all over the property. The food is great; they have 3 restaraunts and the Platinum was our favorite. We enjoyed the beach grill for lunch; however there are 3 different places for lunch so there is good variety. Never waited long for a drink at the bar; plus there is service on the beach and at the pools. Enjoyed the included excursions, diving and snorkeling.

Beautiful grounds well kept like a tropical garden. Lots of good free included stuff like snorkelling, scuba, golf, glass-bottom boat. Beaches very secluded if a bit small. Service great overall, except for front desk. Family initially split up with two rooms indifferent buildings, and maybe I am being picky, but not impressed that a birthday was recognized only by a sticker on the door and the day late.

I have to start by saying check in was super fast, we had a fantastic room building 6 ocean view and close to the quiet pool. The hotel grounds were well manicured and clean, the staff were amazing special thanks to Ryan, Younique, and bar staff for serving our drinks promptly and having great conversations. Food was adequate japanese was spectacular, as well as italian. shortage of towels has to be mentioned and more umbrellas are needed around the pools. once again i thank all the staff for making our vacation wonderful and would highly recommend this resort for a great time and meeting lots of friends from around the world.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Jewel Paradise Cove. This is a solid four star resort with great value and a lot of soul. Rooms We had a second floor pool view room (228) which would not have been our first choice but we booked last minute and were limited. The room itself was clean and spacious with a huge walk in shower and a comfortable king bed. Maid service was good and we often returned to our room to find flowers on the bed. We generally prefer upper level rooms for security and view but the balcony was very tiny and uncomfortable so a ground floor room would have enabled us to pull up lounge chairs in front of the patio. Food Overall the food was good. We never had a bad meal but we never had a stellar meal either. Portions in the à la cartes were tiny but this left us room to sample some of the delicious Jamaican dishes at the buffet. We were tempted to pass on the teppanyaki restaurant but were very glad we didn’t. Not only was the food delicious but the chef kept us all in stitches throughout the evening. The coffee hut was a nice touch and both the dining under the stars and beach party events were very well done. (We enjoyed the entertainment as well.) The Property Typically we would rather spend time lounging and swimming at the beach rather than the pools. At JPC we walked down to the beaches and never set foot in the water. A bit disappointing but the pools were great and the swim up bars outstanding. The slide was fun too. The grounds were beautiful and very well kept. Extras We enjoyed the Konoko Falls experience. The staff were excellent guiding us up the falls and taking pictures and we were impressed with the tour of the gardens afterwards. We ordered the jerk pork and jerk chicken which were both delicious. We dive five dives while at the resort and found the dive masters and equipment to be excellent. Fortunately there were a number of interesting dive sites within five minutes of the resort as the same boat is used for snorkeling, glass bottom boat tours, diving and the sunset cruise. A word of caution – since this boat gets so much use the motors are in rough shape. Should they both go down at the same time water sports would grind to a halt. Staff This is where this resort really shines. We never met a staff member without a smile or a greeting and a genuine willingness to help out. Take lots of small bills for tips since it can be difficult to break down larger bills at reception.

This is a tough resort to review - the beach isn't nice at all but I knew that before I went-pools are great-have no complaints about room, staff, resort is very clean, food is just average, but never a shortage-I would recommend this resort to someone as long as they know it was NOT a 4.5 star, maybe 3.5-it most definetely is a good value for your money - I liked it but there was nothing about it that WOWED me

Fastastic holiday destination!! We arrived at 10:30pm to a cold towel and cocktail!! Check-in was quick and we were off to the 24 hr Grill for a snack. The rooms were spacious and clean. This resort was taken over by the Hilton a year ago and the typical Hilton touches are all there....lovely toiletries, linens, towels, and even a turndown service, etc. A coffee bar opened from 7am to 9pm for a latte, coffee, tea or fruit infused water. Breakfast, lunch and dinner in the main buffet were pretty good with typical buffet foods. The restaurant food was fantastic! We enjoyed the Italian, Japanese and continental cuisine and loved that you didn't need reservations apart from the Japanese. Staff at this resort was the best I've seen at any Caribbean resort I've been to. The staff went out of their way to be helpful, were incredibly polite, and were always checking that you were having a good time and weren't needing anything. Security guards are posted around the perimeter of the resort and they too were engaging and helpful. The three pools each offered a different atmosphere ranging from quiet to fun and there were plenty of loungers. Towels were left in various spots so no line-ups and no card....and no wristbands! The package included snorkeling, a round of golf, a shopping trip, a trip to the falls, a booze cruise and glassbottom boat ride. We didn't partake but many people came back having enjoyed the excursions. There were so many places once could relax with little gazebos and hammocks scattered throughout the property. There was lots to do day and night if you wanted to. We wouldn't hesitate to go back for an adult holiday!

My friend and I went for a relax and do nothing vacation and this exceeded our expectations. The resort was the perfect size - big enough to have a variety of pools, beach and restaurants but not too big. I have never been a big fan of the entertainment and activities at all inclusives but the Paradise Cove team pleasantly surprised me. They had entertaining trivia games and the evening entertainment was top notch. There was a band playing during dinner. After dinner entertainment included country and western, a steel band, cirque du soleil group and a goat race! The biggest plus was the quality of the staff. In all my years of travel, I have never encountered such a warm and welcoming staff. From the security guards to the gentleman cleaning around the pool, they were all so friendly and helpful.

If you're expecting hoighty toighty, Muffy & Biff ..don't. If you want a Fun, Friendly & Interactive Staff with a HEAVY DOSE of Bob Marley, you will not be disappointed !! The restaurants are good. Especially the Coral Cafe buffet and the Aquamarine Grill which is open 11p-7am. You can get everything from Jerk Chicken to Burgers, grilled cheese to salads all night with no attitude!! Be careful on the beach. There are a lot of rocks and seaweed. Do yourself a huge favor. Take a 5 min taxi ride to Flavors Beach, no rocks, no seaweed or buoy lines. The free excursions are smaller scaled versions of the ones you pay a lot for. Example they give you Konoko Falls instead of Dunn River Falls ($75 US/person). It's the same small fishing boat for the Glass Bottom boat & Sunset cruise as well as the snorkeling & diving. The snorkeling and Hobie Cat were awesome & free! The Entertainment are comprised of the staff as the house band and singers. There are local guest Musicians and Dancers each night. If you are expecting a sell out an arena type band you won't. You'll get a local bar band. And you will hear more Bob Marley then you ever believed possible. They are beyond in love with the man. Even though the resort does things on a smaller scale, the staff make it FUN, they are informative and get you involved. They are friendly and very accommodating. Honestly, they made this a very, very good vacation. Do yourself a favor..GO !!!

This was excellent an Resort,very relaxing,grounds were well kept,friendly and courteous staff especially Travis,very clean rooms,good food...love the 24hrs jerk chicken grill!..will definately go back.

The only negative thing I can say about this vacation was that our "Elite Plus" option with Sunwing was overpriced and under-delivered. The service promises "champagne flights" in both directions. It was ok going down, but on the return no champagne was offered, the smell of burnt pizza and burnt sandwich buns permeated the plane and made the food unpalatable. Sunwing crew was flogging $3 bottled water and snacks. Only one pass with beverage service of about 1/2 glass of liquid in the form of juice, pop or wine...no tea or coffee offered. I'll think twice before booking another Sunwing flight...and seats so cramped. Sunwing needs to do better on inflight service and comfort. I'll think twice before booking another Sunwing flight for our next vacation. This is our 2nd trip to Jamaica. Last year at family Jewel Runaway Bay. This year at adults only Jewel Paradise Cove Apr.1-15 and are hard-pressed to find a single thing to complain about at this resort. Possibly the only negative is the ocean floor which is quite rocky...take your water shoes!!! I prefer pools so it was not an issue. The beach itself is very nice, clean, lots of chairs and shade, many watersports are included (sunset cruise, glass bottom boat, pedal boats, etc.), a rum-runner to bring our drinks, and a juice bar at the main west beach. We spent most of our time at the “quiet beach” at the opposite end. As numerous reviewers have stated, the staff at this resort is extraordinary. From gardener Uriah who greeted us warmly every morning, energetic Collin at the front desk, George who had our luggage in our room in seconds, Pearson and Tamique at the Sunken Treasure Bar, Dwaine at Aquamarina, Kerice and Abigail and Devor and the fabulous Ricardo at Coral Café/Beach BBQ, Paulo at Platinum, chefs Rodney and Shamroy at Jade Samurai...super hostesses Claudette, Lanea, Mureen, server Albert B. at Moonstone....there are just too many more to list and we appreciated them all. We are sorry to have missed the Staff Appreciation Awards held on our departure day...would love to know who got the awards and hope to see results posted on Jewel’s website. The Dining Under The Stars (Fridays) and Beach BBQ (Tuesdays) were amazing and run like a well-oiled machine...kudos to the organizers and staff who put these on each and every week. On those nights the entertainment was great. Meeting new people was one of the highlights of these events. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Silverbirds Steel Drum Band our first week at Coral Café and were a bit disappointed they didn’t perform in our second week. We saw them last year as well. We were never disappointed with the food and ate very well at all restaurants. After a long cold brutal Canadian winter, it was a treat to eat outdoors nearly every night. Platinum is definitely worth dressing up for and Jade Samurai was so much fun we did it twice. Moonstone makes the most awesome pizza and other Italian dishes at night...the chicken Florentine was awesome. The special private anniversary cocktail party event and the anniversary room treats were much appreciated surprises. Pools were always clean as were the grounds which are beautiful and well maintained. The 3 outdoor hot tubs were a luxury. We loved our daily walk on the boardwalk along the ocean in the morning, and again at night with all the lovely lighting to guide us. Our room was clean and always well maintained. We called about a clogged sink and within the hour it was fixed. Towels were plentiful and replaced regularly. We occupied 628 overlooking the ‘quiet beach’ and Aquamarina pool/grill...best location we could have asked for! Originally we asked for ground floor but we had a much better view from the 2nd floor room. My husband enjoyed 11 days of golf. The green fees are included/unlimited as stated, but yes you do have to pay for a cart/caddy/gratuity...not unusual at resorts where “golf is included”. Excursions: The Konoko Falls excursion was included in our package...it did not disappoint. (Much more enjoyable than our experience at Dunn’s River Falls last year with their aggressive vendors chasing us down.) Konoko Falls may also be climbed, but we opted for the 180 steps...not as daunting as it sounds. Our guide was very attentive and very knowledgeable taking us through the little museum and Jamaica’s history. At the top is an open-air bar offering refreshments and jerk chicken lunch at very reasonable prices, along with a lesson on how authentic jerk chicken is prepared. A tour through the gardens and aviary were also very informative and relaxing. We also took in the 3-mile Martha Brae River Raft excursion and would highly recommend it as well. I couldn’t be happier that the hotel took the new government non-smoking policy seriously. It has been a big issue for me on other islands like Cuba and Dominican where you can’t go anywhere without inhaling the stink and viewing cigarette butts everywhere. It was refreshing to breathe clean air 99% of the time. There are 3 areas provided for smokers. Of course there’s always that one person to whom the rules don’t apply, but overall people seemed to respect the new ruling. We would definitely return to this resort. The “Jewel” is aptly named.

Lovely resort! It was small and the service was amazing. It had the feeling of being intimate that you can't get in a big resort. The grounds were manicured to perfection. The food was very good and the drink choice was plentiful. Hoping to go back next year!

Beautifully kept Grounds,Good Food Choices at several restaurants,Great friendly and caring staff,This resort has it all.The smoothie bar on the beach is a great idea and the smoothies are second to none! The 24 hr coffee hut in the middle of the complex is extremely handy.Staff kept all guests involved in entertaining activities if you wanted or there were many places on the complex just to hang and chill out in a quiet corner.The hammocks spread out throughout the grounds was a great idea.Very clean also.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. From the moment you arrive at the hotel entrance, the staff are very welcoming and most helpful. Rooms were lovely and well equipped. Our rooms were in a perfect location with all three couples travelling together in rooms adjacent to each other, main level with walk out to the quiet pool. Specialty coffee bar practically outside our door which was perfect for my morning cappuccino visit before breakfast. Food was good with plenty of variety. Grounds very well kept. Overall an excellent resort, great staff and a place I would definitely return to.
