Susan was our travel agent and I am disappointed. We booked a king size suite and it was our anniversary. We called her prior to our trip to confirm because we seen that it was double beds booked and she mentioned that it means double occupancy. When we arrived it was indeed a double bed and my husband is over six feet tall. We asked if there was any mention of our anniversary after we realized we didn’t receive the accommodations that we booked and they said there is no note saying this was our anniversary or they would have prepared for that. When we returned we called her and sent her a email and she did not even call us back. Usually I book with Martine but she was on holidays. Moving forward I will only book with Martine as Susan put a bad taste in my mouth. This is not the fault of the resort. The resort itself was okay. They went out of their way to accommodate us the best they could given the circumstances.

We felt at home at Legends. Everything was very clean and the food was amazing. The only couple of areas of improvement would be to add more umbrellas available on the beach, and maybe new shower heads to regulate temperature and increase pressure.

This hotel is the worst hotel in negril , there is 2 properties under the name so if you choose garden view it will be across the busy street with no security or cross walk . There is no garden to view it’s only bushes and bugs. Upon check in our room had no light in the hallway to see I was using phone flash and every room in the hall way had a leaking Ac unit infront of the main door. I fell and injured my back and They have no medical on site either to even assist. Upon entering the room we saw an infestation of enormous flying cockroaches and mold on the ceiling. I complained to the office staff and they said they can’t do anything and fill out a paper complaint. Terrible service terrible location. After 10 pm there is no staff insight no security no office help no towels, no fridge . Basically a hostel !!!

This hotel is pit from hell. Upon checking in we were sent accorss the street to want is listed at “garden view” but is really just bushes and goats. I was a party of 8 and the rooms were infested with roaches. The hall was wet and all ac units were leaking. There is NOBODY to be found on the grounds after 10 pm so you have to fend for yourself until 8:30 am when the office opens at which point the staff are rude and dismissive. I had to pay to upgrade my room to escape the infestation. I would never book here again not even for free.

I enjoyed my stay a Legends. Kendrick was the host with the most, sharing fishing tales of his life on the Island. Missing Kess with my morning coffee and Jean's breakfasts while she sings along with the music. Always greeted with a smile in the morning from grounds keeper Collin. Enjoyed my little visits with Jackie. The only thing that really needs to be improved on is, if you are arriving on a Friday night. The boxed meal that was supposed to be a meal was unacceptable. Considering Friday night is Jamaican night you would expect to be given something other than a bit of tuna (i think that is what it was) on a tiny hamburger bun with a sliver of tomato and a couple pieces of some kind of cake. Ended up throwing it out. Was not a very good first impression of the resort. The food the rest of the trip was good although not a lot of choice. Would have liked to have had a bigger variety of fruit and more of it. Plus something other than cake for dessert. The best part of the trip was "the beach". Great vacation though, can't wait to come back.

The worst vacation I’ve ever had and the most I’ve ever had to spend. The room was meh but I thought it would be bearable till my head hit the bricks they consider a bed. Then we woke up to notice bed bug bites all over my partners body. I was grossed out to say the least but I tried to be accommodating but the hotels only offer was that they could spray the room which isn’t an option for me because of health risks. Moving on the food was hit or miss but it tried my best to eat each meal, I would suggest sticking to Caribbean options because the western options weren’t good. The drinks were drinkable but the AI list is extremely limited and very sugary (probably their way of drink control). But to top it off there is no water after 10pm many nights we had to leave and purchase food and water on the roadside to feel the slightest bit comfortable. Would never recommend this hotel, especially the AI option. Do your research and spend the little extra for something more hospitable. Their only perk is the amazing beach their on. Also the wifi doesn’t work and they change the code without updating you.

The hotel was great in perfect location to walk and travel the beaches for Miles ... rooms are great size clean only issue is mattress extremely firm but ask for more pillows and was given right away ... very friendly and helpful staff very laid back resort .. food was great about of diffrent choices just meal times where very specific ie lunch 12 till 2 after that no food or snacks served till dinner at 7 till 9 ... over all great resort and would definitely would go back

We've been there for 1 week in May. NEVER AGAIN! For the same price, we could have been in a much, much, better place. The Legends is not an hotel, or a motel, it's worst than an hostel! It's a place for junkies... Lot of drugs, pills, etc. No security and unsafe lock in the room. Smells awful everywhere on the site. Very old rooms, everything is broken or does'nt work, food variety none, no towels, no safebox in the room, no fridge or coffeemaker in the room. At our arrival, we were checked-in by the security guard who gave us our key and that was it... It was pitch black outside & we had to look for our room... If you want to invest that price (1230$/per person), keep looking you will find a REAL nice hotel.

Loved the hotel access to the beach. The beach area was nice with seating and umbrellas for shade. I really loved our maid Sandra who let us sleep in and cleaned our room when we would leave. We made sure to show her our gratitude. Overall it was a nice resort, with the grounds well kept. I would come back!

We needed a low key, no fuss, easy going vacation and got exactly that at Legends. The staff members are totally accommodating, friendly and helpful. As vegetarians, there were not allot of options, however, the staff went over and beyond to cater to our needs. Though not fancy, the room was clean and comfortable. The decision to stay in a superior room was a great one...we were only steps away from the best beach ever! We are happy that we ignored the negative reviews. If you are looking for 4 or 5 star don't go. If you are looking for a no fuss, affordable, off the beaten path boutique hotel, Legends is it!

We decided to step out of our comfort zone and try a little boutique hotel for our first trip to Jamaica. So glad I did!! From the front desk staff to housekeeping to restaurant and bar staff everyone was very welcoming and very pleasant. Kendrick in the dining room is a great asset to the hotel, from the first day he greeted us by name and always had a huge smile and welcome for us. We did the all inclusive and were never disappointed by the delicious, home cooked food. We had a ground floor room on the garden side the first night and found it very noisy with the street traffic so the second day we switched to a second floor balcony room and were very pleased with it. Very clean, very comfortable king size bed and lots of hot water. The air conditioning worked well and we loved sitting out on our balcony at night listening to the peepers. It was never an issue to cross the street as the crossing guard was always available and watching. Very small beach area so best to reserve your spot early in the morning. We really enjoyed our daily walks up and down the beach, very beautiful. The water was warm, nothing in the water but soft sand, it was great. When you got tired of people bothering you on the beach you could spend the day at Samsara which was peaceful and relaxing. Good snorkelling there and excellent food there as well. The free shuttle was available to take you and bring you back. It was a wonderful week and I only have great memories of Legends, Negril.

Well your first impression says it’s old and needs some TLC, but the staff are amazing.... The food also we no complaints we really enjoyed the food. There wasn’t a lot to choose from but you still had enough make your meal. From there to the beach, couldn’t get enough of the beach “Absolutely BEAUTIFUL “ would definitely return to this resort.....

wendy did an excellent job booking a nice week for us. i liked the extras, esp club mobay on arrival and the green card from tripcentral that reduced the cost of our outting - we went to ys falls. legends was a cute place. nothing luxury here, but wow what a spot on the beach. met some repeat visitors, and happy staff tells me someone is doing something right. not everyone will like the basics, but we dont let basics hold us back. we were very comfortable and happy. the sister hotel on the cliff was nicer in some ways, more room to stretch out, bigger choice of food.. maybe others would prefer samsara to stay, and go to legends just for the day. go and discover legends' great location on that fabulous beach.

Not to expect much from this hotel but the beds are hard rock! Six dollars for a Heineken is outrageous, noises being close to downtown Negril and the buffet is very basic to bad this hotel has so much potential but just falls short in every way except the people are Jamaican and naturally friendly. They can’t even call westjet to let them know we had a private airport transfer but they can call the restaurant in town. Very strange.

The hotel was the worst I stayed in always had to wait 3 or 4 hrs for towels a few times the lien was damp that was put on the bed and it was supposed to be all included but you were only allowed to have certain things and by far You couldn’t get you room done till 3 or 4 in the afternoon

Our group had fun because of who we are but we travelled wth 9 girls only one room was correct with 2 double beds the others were shared King beds---NOT COOL! There were NEVER TOWELS not even one day on time so morning showers were not possible. The lady who checked us in was rude and unconcerned that we paid all this money to be here. The food and selection was terrible. Th all inclusive was limited between certain hrs and no food after 8 and no drinks after 10. Toilet paper and everything was scarce. No kettle, coffee maker or even a microwave to heat up food for later so you were hungry at night unless you went on the street and ate from vendors. But your in Jamaica so "No Problem"

I was not happy with this resort at all? Paid all inclusive to arrive and have to pay deposit. When we arrived our rooms were not ready then they were trying to give us 1 bed and 1 key to share in every room.....I did not pay 1400$ to sleep with anyone.no fridge have to pay 4$a day for a safe, half the time there were no face clothes or towels and when there was they had to wash them in order for us to have clean ones....they were dingy And brown. The food was discusting and no options, bottled water Not included in price we paid and really I could go on and on.......zero out of 10

Stayed here several times but first time all inclusive..Next time will skip all inclusive..but love the resort and the staff and the location..See you again legends..This resort is central to everything so easy to get around especially if you like to party

Hotel was great, air conditioner was powerful , right on the beach , live entertainment next door at bourbon beach bar and grill, stores and restaurants all in walking distance .. free one love tour bus picks you up right in front the resort and takes you to different local bars , it was an awesome experience . Margarita ville is a 5 dollar cab away, Rick's cafe is a 10 dollar cab away

It was a bad experience: very old, unclean, rude staff and presence of huge bugs in washroom. Confortable beds, good size. White Towels turn gray color like not good wash. Area smell really really bad, garbage a lot of garbage in front of the main intrance of the resort, water in washroom smells bad, in front of our door smell of piss, ayyrrrkk. No civilisation around to by food , in their food market there is nothing to bye!!!! Beach is the most warmefull and beautiful, white sand and green water like crystal. Adventures are expensive and no much choice in Negril, too far from everything. Local people on the beach of hotel witch is located right on the beach, selling fruits, catamaran, and marijuana

This holiday was a great experience as always. I have gone to Legends Beach Resort for many years and have always been satisfied with all aspects of this hotel on a most convenient spot and my favorite beach location. Every time I return to Legends the staff is the best and there year after year. I remember them and they remember me. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The cook Jean, makes amazing Jamaican style food with enough choices that there is always something for everyone to enjoy. I will definitely return to this Resort over and over again.

Just got back from Legends this week. Had an amazing time in Jamaica. I loved how close legends was to everything. The wifi is sketchy at times on the garden side but excellent by the ocean and bar. I only ate at the restaurant once for breakfast and it was just okay, but the view of 7 mile beach with breakfast was amazing. I really liked the beds, however I don't like soft beds, so I slept amazing all week. The maid service is excellent here as well, spotless everyday! I would definitely return to legends.

Overall we love the place. It would been nice to have shampoo and pool towels as our room towels were just enough for room use. The food was good and beach wa fabulous. We liked the option of visiting the sister hotel. Having Time Square and the little shops was really nice to visit.

This is a no frills resort approximately 90 minutes from the airport and located directly on the beach, which is in my opinion is just okay. While the water is clear, I would classify the beach as a brown sand beach, not a white sand beach if that matters to you. Even though they say this is an all-inclusive, it does not include: snacks, bottled water, premium liquors, water sports, a safe in your room, fridge, microwave or tips. The best thing about this resort is the staff. They will go out of their way while working with the tools they have to make you feel as comfortable as possible. Some stand-outs include: Shinae, Kenrick, Samita, Jean and Elorine. The gardener and security guards work very hard to ensure the grounds are kept clean and your safety is a priority, please don't forget to tip them as they are often over-looked. There are numerous vendors on the beach trying to sell their wares and for the most part a polite no thank you will suffice. The rooms are dated but comfortable and incredibly clean and tidy. Hot water is abundant and the water pressure is good. The t.v in the room has a decent selection of channels for the evening as there is no entertainment on site. Meals are served at specific times of the day and your choices are very limited. However, there are a number of restaurants and food vendors within walking distance who are accessible form both the main road and the beach itself if your prepared to supplement your all-inclusive vacation. If you're looking for a clean, low budget, no frills vacation situated on a beach this is the place for you.

We enjoyed our stay in Negril at Legends. The staff were accommodating and friendly. The service in the restaurant was wonderful. We didn't get the all inclusive as we wanted to try out the restaurants around the town and we were happy we did as there's a lot of great choices. A fantastic little vegan restaurant just minutes up the beach is called Rasta Ade Refreshments and the food was amazing. I would have preferred if the pool was salt water. We had a wonderful time at Legends!! We will be back.

Enjoyed our stay but Legends felt more like a motel stay than a real resort. No entertainment at night, bar closed at ten and meal times were pre-set. No snack bar. It was however quite tropical, beautiful trees and flowers. The beach area was small with the loungers placed close together. If your neighbour chose to smoke or smoke weed, well then so were you! We did feel very safe leaving our beach gear on the chairs while walking or swimming as the security was very good. Nice job by Michael the beach guy. We took the shuttle to their sister resort and really enjoyed swimming along the cliffs there. Easy to climb down the stairs into the water if you're not up to jumping. Fun watching the vendors come along the beach with Jamaican patties, lobsters and fresh fruit. Rooms were dated but clean. Tv reception was quite good with several movie channels.

Amazing staff. Huge clean rooms. Unbeatable beach with lots of chairs and umbrellas. Will go back again and again. Close to town walking distance to great beach bars with local musicians galore. Glass bottom boat day trip perfection.

This was our second time staying at legends and we had a great time. The staff are amazing and very friendly. The beach is beautiful and I would recommend this resort. We will be going back for sure.

The legends grounds are kept up very well by the gardeners they really work hard and do a great job ! This resort is older but very clean and quaint , the only thing I would recommend is that they make wine available on the all inclusive list never ever been anywhere where the wine was not free !! We still had an awesome relaxing time at legends ❤️

More like staying at a hotel, two small pools which we didn't use ,one bar / restaurant on the beach. Great service and very friendly staff . The food was good every day but not a large selection , the beach is amazing (the best part) the water is crystal clear with beautiful soft white sand. The beach is great for walking, locals do try to sell you things but are very polite if you say no .The rooms are like a standard motel room but keep very clean .

Check in was fine, friendly lady Beach , too small for the amount of chairs, very crowded vendors,, in your face all the time, day and night , very aggressive and harassing, even walking on the beach , put things in your bag and ask for $$ or compensation all the time, pretend to be your friends but in reality they are not, same for jewelry vendors put things on your wrist and next thing you know you are committed to buy it,,,, did not appreciate that keep saying "respect " ,,, well we did not think so, no respect at all Accommodation : was on superior room ocean view Bed was hard as a brick, very uncomfortable , did not sleep well during my journey, returned with a backache shower : no pressure, a stream for hot water, so we had to opt for cold water showers ocean view , well if you stand up it is with a view on the sea and the vendors waving at you, if not you got a cement wall, location : this resort is next to Bourbon Beach Bar, place where locals hang out, not recommended for safety ( just an example ,we got threatened to be killed over a beer) again they follow you on the beach to your resort Also music so loud until 3. am daily,, the whole room was shaking so the bed, we had to leave the TV on to diffuse a bit the noise,. street close by: great but again, you walk and get asked to buy drugs, or harassed Shopping mall across the street, : convenient Decent place for a drink & food : small Italian cafe which was quiet and very nice food : was good, but small variety, to be expected from small resort service : friendly , kind and finally, i suggest that you verify with the airline, airport prior leaving, the Sunwing rep , misinformed us on our pick up time, we have told her several time that we had checked directly with airline carrier and airport as well my ticket and she did not bother to verify or better yet rectify, if we would have listened to her we would have spent 12 hours waiting at the airport prior our flight ???????? we had to call ourselves customer service to have the proper time for pick up which was 4:15 pm. the positive,side was: We had sun daily, hot, beautiful beach ,site and sunsets, water warm , did an excursion in snorkeling and stop to a deserted island ( saw many fishes ,) horse riding,( horses look healthy ) value : thought we paid too much for what we received we have been very disappointed. happy to be home and safe. I recommend to go to a secluded resort, where there is security and control, it is not like it used to be, was told by a local at the hotel ,,, We went Jewel Dunn's beach resort in Ocho Rios in May and it was amazing,, our experience was positive across the board maybe more expensive but WORTH it, i am usually looking at the positive side of things , but it this case the negative overthrew the positive.

My husband and I have been to Negril many times and prefer to stay at hotels on the beach side as opposed to the cliffs and we dont pay all inclusive. This hotel has a restaurant onsite, one small pool on the beach side and one larger pool on the garden side. If you stay on the garden side, there is a staff memeber there to help you cross the road as it can be overwhelming with traffic moving in opposite directions from what you're used to in North America. It was very quiet when we were there for the first 2 weeks in September 2015. The room is adequate with 2 queen beds and were comfortable. The AC was cold, the shower was HOT and the water pressure was great. There are no safes in the room. I have nothing bad to say about Legends or their sister resort on the cliffs - which is a must!! Jumping off their wall into the sea is revitalizing. You can use your all inclusive priviledges there as well. Most of all .... enjoy your stay but don't expect 5 star service. Lay back and relax and go with the flow.

The weather was great :) The service was good The food selection was very limited Lots of locals trying to sell there goods constantly The pool was not cleaned in our seven day stay Having to cross the busy road with children to get to the beach and dining room was unpleasant!

I travelled with a group of six people; all women; we really enjoyed our experience at Legends Resort; the staff were all friendly and very accommodating. Beach was beautiful; food was always hot and tasty; and servers were all cheerful to everyone!!! Only downfall I had was once you left the resort; you were approached by the locals immediately to either buy what they were selling or trying to entice you to party with them. overall; a great experience otherwise!!

It was my fifth time to Negril, first time at Legend's. Needs some upgrading. They have great staff. We did not do the all inclusive which I am glad as it is very limited. It would be nice if they provided beach towels, hair dryers, and coffee makers for each room. The rooms were pretty clean. It's very basic.

I enjoyed the hotel, staff was freindly and entertainment was great. I book 2-3 trips per year with Trip Central as they always have the best pricing from Toronto. I got this trip for a good price but may have been disappointed if I had paid top dollar as I thought it was a little more upscale than it was. Having said that I really liked the hotel and have no complaints.
