The grounds, beach and pool are well kept, however the pool is in a poor location across the busy negril road and at the back. We stayed in a garden side manor room, which was kinda gross..ie rusty bath tub, old toilet, different old replaced tiles, dirty walls and live out of your luggage, keep it zipped up atmosphere. The A/C barely worked. All of the cottages seemed in much better condition. The food was okay. Outdoor buffet style every meal same place. No indoor lounging or activities on rainy days. It was okay but we wont return. Plus the transfer to and from was unorganized.

We are many times vacationing to Negril the grand pineapple . Where we are treated like family no Visitors the Grandpineapple is very friendly and the staff is excellent -dining room bar and the cleaning staff do a great job . The people go out of their way be on their duty to keep you in any way they can .the beaches are justgreatand very clean the life guards are always there if needed.and the Security is top it's for family or just yourself no worries .we go the both of us and always had a wonderful time . Fun ,food ,music ,sun beaches tops .we try for Christmas and New year they know how to Celebrate both .Sincerely Cecilia Power ,SharonDoiron .

I was so looking forward to going back to Jamaica, it had some great things, the beach, ocean, Rick's cafe, margarittaville. The food on the resort was the exact same food every meal, ran out multiple times well before meal time was over. The staff was not attentive. Our room was usually cleaned at dinner. Our first room had a running toilet, not safety chain, remote for TV didn't work. A safe was not available the day we arrived. It is a great place to meet people do to the size of the resort. We were supposed to be moved to a king room mid trip, I confirmed the day before, to be told the next day that no one had confirmed. I wasn't going to ruin my trip by getting angry, so we waited another day to move. Overall we had a nice time but wouldn't go back.

I am a repeat guest. I love the small resort, slow pace, good food and friendly staff. The 7mile beach in Negril is public, and I love meeting the locals. The crystal bleu sea is my therapy. Try meditation in the water at sunrise.

The grounds were amazing, the rooms were standard. The staff left a lot to be desired, they were not friendly and if you asked for something it was like you put them out and they were rude about it. The bar doesn't serve wine and the only time you are able to get any is during dinner service, the staff was not nice about the request for wine outside of this time. This was my second trip to Jamaica and I remember the food being amazing on my first trip, this time that was not the case. This resorts food left a lot to be desired. I will not return to this resort nor will I recommend it to any of my family or friends. I believe the staff of the resort can make or break a holiday, the staff of the Grand Pineapple Resort didn't make this a great stay.

This was a great resort, the people were very friendly and very helpful. It was a little smaller than we thought but still had all of the essentials. the water and the beach were awesome. Would go back to this resort anytime,Had a lot of fun.

The pool should’ve been on the beachside ran out of liquor and beer and no entertainment at night The weather was good the walks down the beach were really good and we ventured over to Rick’s Café which was really good but is far is the resort we won’t stay there again

The beach at this resort was fantastic, food was great, rooms were clean and staff were friendly, although some could smile a little more. The one thing that could be improved is the pool location, you had to cross the road to the garden side rooms where the pool is located which did not have a bar. There is plenty of room on the beach side to install a pool and this would make the resort more pleasurable for us, as we are pool people. On the whole this resort was very nice, however I would probably not go back just because of the pool, but if you are beach people this is the place for you.

Not a five star resort but a beautiful little spot. Great staff, good food and drinks. Beautiful beach, all sand with no rocks easy to walk bare feet. Easy to wander off the resort and felt safe. Will definitely go again.

We had mold in our room ,we asked to have another room ,they said yes but had to pay almost 300.00 that was so stupid the resort was almost empty . And thinking this is owned by Sandal what a shame. Would never recommend to anyone.

I've stayed at this resort going on 800 nights,so I know exactly what the resort is all about.From the time that you check in you realize that you're in a special place.It's not fancy but it's the staff that make it a wonderful experience. The grounds are perfectly manicured by Everett and Ricardo,the front desk meet you with a smile and make you feel right at home from the start.The restaurant staff are always there to wait on you with a warm greeting. The bar with Marvette do a fantastic job serving you with your choice of beverage.This takes you out to the famous seven mile beach which is what it's all about....white sand ,warm water and a breath taking sunset every night. ENJOY

The hotel is very clean and provides u great hospitality. The hotel manager Mrs. Daniela is very helpful and will guide u throughout your stay... The staffs were very helpful. They are very nice. The food was great (I mean it :)) Overall experience was awesome. The beach is gorgeous I’ll recommend this hotel to every couple and families :). You won’t regret, just be there :)

I loved the location of the resort – the beach side that is. I wasn’t aware that the “Garden Side” of the resort was across the street where the pool was. Obviously with the beautiful ocean in front of me, I had no desire to swim or hang around the pool. Needless to say, I never checked out that part of the resort. Security Guards at both sides of the resort are equipped with Stop signs to assist all guests across the street. I knew going into this resort that it was a three-star resort so my expectations were not high. My main reason for choosing the resort was the location. You have SEVEN miles of gorgeous beach to walk up and down and everything along the street to choose from. Mini grocery stores, restaurants, clubs and a duty-free plaza. Everyone on the street are very friendly and cabs are always going up and down. We had an issue with the room we were in initially because it backed onto the street – way too noisy to sleep. The next day the manager, Daniella Pons, was extremely helpful in finding us another room to our liking. Food was okay – alcohol was okay (except the 11am to 11pm timeframe), when entertainment groups were available – they were great, the staff was excellent – always attentive and remember our names. I highly recommend this resort for the seasoned traveler who is not that fussy and loves to mix and mingle with the people of the area. The resort just needs a little bit more refinement but with refinement comes an increase in price and I'd hate to see that. Looking forward to another return visit.

...that this charming resort is the best deal on the 7 mile beach. Beautiful smiles from the staff, great buffet and clean rooms...maybe that is why i have been 7 times since 2015. The service from check in to check out was attentive, the grounds are always clean, fresh towels for the beach every morning and offee ready before breakfast is served...oh and mmmmmm those omelettes. Security makes us feel important too, always wanting to know our room #when we step out of the resort...i recommend for couples and friends travelling together. I have been every season and the sea is always clean clear and warm. I repeat please do not tell anyone about my favorite place to stay in Jamaica.

I have stayed almost 700 nights at this resort and I think that I speak for most of the guests that have ever stayed there, that it is the best place in Jamaica.There's nothing to fancy but the staff,beach,location,grounds and the resort itself make it a dream holiday for everyone.From the day that you arrive until the day that you leave you'll enjoy ever minute of your stay and will immediately start making plans for your next visit to GP.

Sadly this was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. The pictures depict a nice clean hotel, instead the reality is; the hotel was old, dirty and damp, with leaky ceilings. I wish someone would have told me that the Garden view was across the street. This was such an inconvenience. Not to mention after paying $50 for internet it would not work on the Garden view side. The staff were rude. The food was mediocre. Peddlers did nothing but pester you all week long. They were relentless. The beach chairs were disgusting. I was so disappointed. Trip Central needs to tell the travelers about this.

We were expecting rustic. This is too rustic. I wouldn't care if I had paid "rustic" prices, but we paid top dollar. We had dreamed of going to the GP for years. What a let down. The food was very limited. The staff expected tips and were not very grateful. I am sad that we were so disappointed. It could have been so much better. I hope it's for sale. I love the beach and would return under new management.

My husband and I had an amazing time at Grand Pineapple in Negril. The only thing that can improve is the food. It was just ok but other than that amazing. Will definitely go back again. Thank you Ron and Shelly James

The Grand Pineapple is an excellent hotel with fantastic staff who are friendly and take care of all your needs. Food was awesome, facilities were clean, beach area was great. I would definitely return here again!

Grounds are well maintained, buffet had good variety, meals were well done. Excellent location, magnificent beach! Was not pleased with the accomodations, the rooms and bathroom was clean but dated the safe was rusty, the rooms and bathrooms need to be renovated / updated.

This place was amazing. Food was fabulous, staff were friendly and curtious. bathroom needed a update but we did stay in the room too much. Great assortment of activities and the best sunsets every night!

many repeat customers loving this place. small size for an AI, nothing fancy, but very cosy. felt safe and welcome here. everyone had fun together. staff were pleasant and relaxed. good variety of food, no issues and i appreciated seeing local items. hope the grand pineapple stays put for a long time.

We had a fabulous time at Grand Pineapple. Loved that it was a smaller resort, beachside cottage was great as everything was close by. Was a bit loud at times so I recommend earplugs for those of us that have trouble sleeping, which I was prepared for and it was fine. Rooms were clean, staff was great, helped us with anything we needed, i.e. hair dryer was missing, best to check everything in the room right away. Security on the beach could've been a bit better but they did step in if vendors didn't leave someone alone. They thought I was walking the beach alone at one point and stopped to check in with me which my boyfriend appreciated, so I guess it's not recommended you do that by yourself but I did see women walking alone, I didn't feel unsafe at any point. Beach was beautiful, sunsets spectacular. Lots of chairs, still got out at a decent time if you want a certain spot as people still do take the prime locations if you want shade, but all in all wasn't a problem. Unfortunately there were no floatation devices supplied so people brought there own or bought them and left them so we ended up with a couple that got left on the beach. Food was pretty good, few things looked and tasted like they were out of a box, but all in all no complaints, there was fish, chicken and pork most nights along with other things. Patties only showed up twice, I think most would like to see more of that, but my guess is they want to support the vendors on the beach selling them. Would've liked to see more fresh fruit. Salads were good and nice choice of desserts each day only they need more as some items would run out if you waited too long. Stayed away from the cheap booze as it didn't work for me, but thoroughly enjoyed the pinacoladas and banana shakes made with fresh fruit, far better than some of the bigger resorts. Would be nice if wifi was included, but we just paid for it as we needed it. We would stay there again, great place for those who like a smaller resort and are more into the beach than the pool. Crossing guards were great and always there to help. We didn't venture out of the resort as we enjoyed just hanging out there, some of the live music was good, but don't expect a lot of nightlife in this place, it's more of a chill out kinda place and the guests there were all about the same, only a few kids, good crowd, no one got carried away. There's an option of going to Alfred's bar next door but didn't check it out, it can get really loud late a night but it wasn't as bad as some reviews made it out to be. Earplugs also helped out with the rooster and tree frogs lol.

Had a fantastic time. Although the hotel needs a little tender loving.. ( beach chairs, new cushions little things) it was very homey. Reminded me of an old resort Jack Tar Same standards. The team they have are great. Would go back in a heart beat ❤

Return visit. Just perfect for chillin' or meeting new friends - your choice. The resort is bubbling with keen and friendly staff that make you feel sooo welcome! The beach is absolutely a piece of heaven, like an ocean pool or spa. Want to extend your day? Try the pool. No one is ever there and it's always waiting for a nighttime dip. The buffet is small, but varied, and you can order burger and fries for a change. I've tried both the beachfront and garden cottages. The beachfront cottages are central and a skip and a jump from the beach, buffet, and bar. The garden cottages are near the pool and the vegetation, and mornings on the deck, watching the peacocks is like something out of a dream. If you want a "grand" vacation with lots a fresh "pineapple" this is the place for you!

Nice resort. Rooms are comfortable. If you book the gardenview side of the resort you will have to cross the street to access the beach. Oceanside is for sure worth the extra money. Locals get to be a bit irritating constantly trying to sell you things. They stand on the shoreline and target you when you go in for a swim. Other than that it is definitely good value for your money.

Grand Pineapple is a quaint property located on 7 mile beach. The beachside cottages are great and close to all amenities. The buildings could do with a little TLC but that only adds to the Caribbean feel. The food is good and you could always find something to eat. The staff is great and willing to go the extra mile to ensure your stay is enjoyable. Terry

This is a small friendly resort where the staff goes above and beyond. This was our first visit to this resort but we met many returning patrons who come back year after year. The beach is beautiful, and the sunsets are stunning. We made sure we we're on the beach each evening to watch it. We are already planning our return for next year!

This is the perfect resort for people looking to enjoy the beach. The resort is basic. The pool is small and usually empty because of the beautiful beach. No entertainment but the accommodations, beach, food and service was excellent. Staff always greeted you with a smile. A perfect place to relax and soak up the sun.

We just returned from ten days at Grand Pineapple and I would go back now for another ten. The beach is amazing, I walked up and down it every morning after breakfast. The water is so clear (which is good, as my husband dropped his safe key out of his pocket while we were snorkeling and had no problem finding it again) and always a perfect temperature. The resort itself was tiny which meant you could get from your room to beach in no time at all, which I loved. The staff were amazing, especially Winston in the restaurant, Joseph at the bar, Jacqueline the waitress, and the amazing Andrade who made eggs of every sort at breakfast. Because of the size of the resort you got to know everybody and they knew you, which made the experience even better. Food was basic but different every night and I had salad every lunch and dinner with mountains of cheese. Breakfast was the best with the eggs, bacon and pancakes but I have no complaints about the food. We were on the garden side, first in room 2 but my husband did not care for the double beds because he is tall, so we asked for a transfer and we were in room 6 with a king for the rest of our stay, which was great. Rooms are small, but very clean and have everything you need. TV's were equipped with HDMI plugs which was great as we were in bed early and watching TV from my tablet every night. Wifi was $43 for 7 days and then $14.99 for 24 hour increments. Would be nice if a 10 day option was added for those of us staying longer as it was almost as much for 3 days more as it was for 7. We loved the peacocks hanging around our cottage on the garden side, and we seemed to be the only ones who used the pool so that was our private hang out at the end of the afternoon. So to sum up, AMAZING Beach and Staff, Good Food and Rooms, Great time in Jamaica. We will be back!!

Excellent staff, clean rooms and lovely beach!! The security keeps an eye out on everyone. You are free to stroll the beach and mingle with locals. We meet many very friendly locals who escorted us during walks. The food was pretty good and there are also many places around the resort where you can buy food. We met a lot of great people from all over the world who have been to this resort numerous times and who keep going back. A stroll down the beach proves that this hotel takes great care of their property compared to other resorts along the beach. There are lots of beach chairs so you don't have to worry about claiming a chair at 7 am in the morning. There is also a pool which is not used very much but it is clean and a nice place to gather in the evening. The hot tub was great! Nice and hot! The bartenders and servers were all great people who went out of there way to make sure you had all that you need. If you walk down Norman Manley Boulevard there are many little stores and restaurants that you can visit and there is also a mall close by. The location is great and you are not locked on a resort with no escape for seven days! This area is safe and you can see many tourists walking up and down the streets at all hours of the night. The night life is also good. There are parties to be found every night if one wanted too. This is place that you must visit and we will definitely be returning as soon as possible!!

We had a great two weeks. Everyone was so attentive to our requests. The location on the 7 mile beach is perfect, allowing us to explore and meet many of Negril's local beach business owners. GPN's location is close to town and shopping, walking distance. The beach and sunsets were amazing. Most of all, The Grand Pineapple staff made us feel special, safe and welcome. Resort was very clean, well maintained, beach and area kept clean. Staff and Security went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and felt safe. Food was very well prepared and plentiful. Crossing Guard between Garden and Beachside was a nice touch to ensure our safety while crossing the road.
