Arrived last Sat night, went to room put luggage inside changed got ready for dinner, go to order a drink and they have NO COKE, NO RUM, CANT GET BOB MARLEY DRINK, CANT GET A DIRTY BANANA the only alcohol they had was GIN, VODKA or PEACH SNAPS WHEN THEY DIDNT RUN OUT OF THAT!!!! and went back to room. Next morning get up go for breakfast and took a walk around the resort and started to ask questions and come to find out NO SWIMMING POOL or ENTERTAINMENT AND NO BUFFET AND AGAIN NO RUM THAT WE WERE TOLD......come to find out after our third day they DO HAVE WHITE RUM HIDDEN UNDER THE COUNTER BUT NO COKE TO MIX WITH!!!! Not to impressed at all. Come Wed night around 11:30 I woke up to the smell of smoke and a gas type fume and soaked in sweat cause our Air Conditioner STOPPED WORKING and went to the front desk to get asked if there was a problem......I said yes my air conditioner stopped working and Im very hot and cant sleep....he replied we had a little issue...I said what is the issue he then replied by saying there was a FIRE.....AND NO ALARMS WENT OFF AT ALL!!!!!!!! NO INTERNET NO CABLE NO WATER!!!! ALL NIGHT NOTHING BUT HOT UNCOMFORTABLE ALL NIGHT. He said he didnt want to alarm anyone and will attend to it in the morning. Me being half asleep I went back to the room and my husband asked me why does it smell like smoke and some type of gas fume for and I told him there was a fire but its out now and we went back to sleep;. The next morning my husband went to get ready and washed up and blew his nose and NOTHING BUT BLACK CAME OUT OF HIS NOSE FOR OVER ONE HOUR!!! My husband has COPD and has trouble breathing and to breath in smoke for over 10 hours ISNT GOOD FOR ANYONE NEVER MIND HIM WITH A LUNG DISEASE.....my husband went up to the front and asked them whats going on and they said they would be relocating us and they did around 9:30 and they moved us all the way to block three where there is nothing!!!! We then had a long walk to get to the bar...if you want to call it a bar if we wanted a drink and where we had to eat breakfast lunch and dinner.......OR FOR TEA TIME!!! Was not impressed at all for paying 2860.00 for us to go on a terrible trip and may I add its my husbands first time with me in 23 yrs....my forth time and I have never experienced any thing like this before. One day there was only 4 of us tourists on the WHOLE RESORT. IT WAS AN EXTREMELY BORING TRIP. They had buffet when the tourists came off the cruise ships for lunch or dinner and WE DID NOT KNOW TILL WE WENT TO EAT!!!! The only two times one person was singing to music was when they had people come from the cruise ships. The only thing good was the food!!!!! Everything else sucked and I wouldn't go back if you paid me to!!!! The store we had to walk to, to get some COKE and PEPSI was 15 mins away. And NO SHOPPING AROUND CLOSE FOR GIFTS!!!!! I've recently returned from my 1 week stay at Shaw Park Resort. It exceeded my expectations in terms of guests traffic and customer service. Though quaint in size, the amount of guests coming and going was perfect for us. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating creating a family and friends atmosphere. The resort is literally on the beach shore which was one of the main booking features we were looking for. What's even better, is that Shaw Park Resort is located near quite a few local attractions, Dunns River Falls being just one of them. Needless to say my daughters and I were very sad to leave and would definately stay at Shaw Park Resort again. Cheers ;)

Totally enjoyed every bit of my stay great staff superfood very clean rooms the very service I look forward to was here all in all had a relaxing time wish I could have stayed longer next time for sure this Hotel will be my first choice

Resort was quiet and well maintained and clean. Was suppose to be buffet for meals but mostly we were served from a menu which was fine as they offered enough choices, I'm sure if there was nothing we liked they would have accommodated us :) . People from cruise ships came, but they kept to another part of beach and they fed them different than us and then they were gone in a couple hours tops! Beach was private, beautiful and clean! The only downfall for us really was the 2&1/2 hour bus ride! Staff were all great! Would go again👣👍💕

Resort was small, but spread over a large beach front. Beach front rooms, just 10 steps from beach, great. Public areas were fine. Food selection was limited, but what was offered was very good. Resort needs a lot of upgrades.

Before going to Shaw Park, my husband and I had always stayed at four or five star mega resorts. Never again. The only regret I have about our week at Shaw Park was that it ended too soon. Having said that, this hotel won't be for everyone. It's definitely showing its age and there are no animators running around trying to keep guests entertained 24-7. Although we were there at the height of the season, it was half full at best, so if you're looking for a non-stop party, go elsewhere. If, like us, however, you want to be right on the beach where you can lie in the sun (or shade), read a good book, eat well and take in some of the local culture, Shaw Park is perfect. The clientele is an interesting mix of locals, Europeans and North Americans, the staff is amazing and the food is fresh and tasty, with a Jamaican flare. Would we go back? Ya mon!

This was our second time to Shaw Park. The food was great, room was clean but don't expect a 5 star, remember it's a 3 star. If you are ok with that, go for it you will enjoy this quiet relaxing hotel!
