The staff at the resort was amazed The food on the other hand was not.it was cold and in the one buffet you where guessing what you where eating. And if you’re not in the family section or the all adults you are limited to where you can eat. It would have been nice to have fruit and some snacks available though out the day.

We decided on Bavaro Select because of recent renovations and the fact that we had issues with bathroom facilities when we were at Palace two years ago. We chose a Premium Junior Suite room without knowing where we would be located. As it turned out, this type of room was only located in one of the 3 larger Eficianado buildings on the extreme east side of the Bavaro section(E17, E18, E19). This put us at a fairly long walk to the Bavaro pool. If we had chosen a Superior Junior Suite, we would have been closer to both the pool and beach. When you book, it isn’t always clear which building might contain the type of room that you choose. The creation of Family Select at Bavaro caused some issues for us. The closest area of beach from our room that we were allowed to use had virtually no shade. Family Select and Travel Club had their own private beach that were restricted to us, meaning an extra long walk to find a beach location with huts for shade. Family Select also had a private pool but those guests were also allowed to use the regular Bavaro Pool, making it crowded at times. We had an electricity outage at our room that persisted over parts of 3 days. We had to walk to the lobby to notify of the outage because the land line in the room wasn’t working. The problem was initially fixed quickly but it recurred again the next night. If we were to book Palladium again, we would be looking at a different room type, or fork over more money to stay at TRS. We like the resort for the most part, but there are certainly some issues.

I have been going to Punta Cana for eight years and I have received excellent service at the grand Palladium. The service was outstanding as always. I like to give a shout out to William , Jose Luis at the palace, pool bar, and the rest of the staff! At the palace lounge bar a hug thank you to Jose Alberto Alexander Vidal and the supervisor Alcid , outstanding service! At the El Dorado the service was excellent and a shout out to Biki and Lois great service again as always my experience was very nice. I was well looked after any issues I had were looked after right away. Nothing is perfect, but to me a holiday is what you make it and the staff is what keeps me coming back? The food overall was excellent. I love their café. The cappuccino was excellent !!! It is paradise and I definitely will be coming back. Thank you again for a wonderful holiday.!!!!

Compared to the 2 other resorts we have stayed at in the Caribbean, Grand Palladium Punta Cana was just ok. The grounds and pools were very nice, and the beach was beautiful. The rooms were clean and housekeeping replenished everything daily, but the were quite dated, with a very awkward tub/shower combo. It was hard to get good service at the buffets - we were always waiting for place settings, water, coffee, drinks... Food was generally lukewarm, but tasted fine. The a la cartes were hit and miss. We had 3 good experiences, and 3 not so good. I would probably try another resort over returning to this one.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. We had a leak in bathroom first day and we're here with a 9 month old on our first trip. I had to call 5 times and still the problem wasn't rectified. I had to call a 6th time and yell and swear at them to eventually get a room change. The pools and beach are all nice, but the customer service is rated at zero stars if I could rate it. We also ordered room service as with a baby it is difficult to always go out to grab food, ordered lunch and still 2 hours later, nothing arrived to the room. We have been on multiple all inclusive resorts, and this has by far been the worst experience ever in terms of customer service. I expected much more from this resort. I never leave reviews, but this resort has made me do so.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 weeks. The hotel grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The beach was amazing and the service second to none. The buffet restaurant and food in general was very good! Lots of selection and high quality.

Stayed at this hotel in late April. The beach and grounds were beautiful white sand for miles. No rocks. The water was warm in both the ocean and the pools. Staff were very friendly and always resolved issues quickly. The food was good for an all inclusive. Best to get to the buffets early to have the better selection and temperature of food. There were more restaurants than days I was there. Only downfall is the reservation system. There should be room for more reservations, but I was only to get into five nights out of seven. The rooms are very clean and housekeeping. Staff made sure that we were taken care of. The rooms are in need of updating. Lots of activities and the staff worked hard to keep you engaged. Overall I would recommend this resort for a family. Wonderful vacation thank you to all the wonderful staff

The grounds were beautiful and well kept up, entertainment was very good a night. Rooms were clean but dated. The big problem is the service, waited for drink everywhere we went Morning,Day and night. Sometimes we would be finished breakfast before we could get coffee. The staff just seemed to not care. Lastly the pool is no good to hang out in unless you were 6 feet or taller.

Been at the Palladium 5 times over a 15 year period and again we will give it ?????????? stars. The grounds and beach are tropical and spotless, ocean is colourful. The selection of food/deserts is through the stratosphere, we’re not kidding. Kinda crazy but our diet is plant base and there is no shortage of choice for us. Grilled steak, chicken, pork, seafood with fresh bread/buns or hamburgers, hotdogs and pizza, this place is just crazy with what it offers. So many types of high end alcoholic beverages at every bar makes for a great relaxing vacation. Coffee drinkers also have a great choice with all the different blends. We’ll be back ????

I paid $1788 cad a person which I find is overpriced big time for this hotel. One room was great but the other was terrible. Broken toilet seat, shower head, and shower door. Air conditioning was leaking water on the floor daily. Service: not great. Took them 3 days to bring me toothpaste as I forgot mine. First 3 days we could hardly get coffee and water served for breakfast. Very slow service - got better by day 4. Drinks were good. Beach was terrible. HUGE amounts of seaweed that they just grind it down- they don’t pick it up but this is an issue in the ocean so I would avoid the Atlantic Ocean resorts. We love the beach but only went 2 days. Pools could of been cleaner. Water was hot buy 1:00 pm as it was really hot. 42 degrees with humidity. Plenty of chairs and towels. Food was very good. I have severe allergies and the head chef would take me to explain what each item had inside the food. I did stay away from the areas that had seafood ( my allergies) as people mix the spoons. Entertainment wasn’t great. The kids arcade was great. The resort is HUGE which I found too big. Be prepared to walk tons. A la carte that were great; the italian and Japanese. Steak house I didn’t like and the food only came at 9. Air conditioning needs to be improved in the buffets and restos as with the extreme heat, we were boiling hot 🥵. I have asthma and struggled with this. Check in was ridiculous. Took us 1 hour as the guy i had didn’t know what he was doing. Check out was great. The bus to and from the airport was great. Great AC. Airport was brutal. There isn’t AC everywhere and it’s a long wait. We stayed in the duty free stores till the end basically but when we had to board the plane , no AC. Long line and we were put on a bus that had no AC. I almost fainted and had an asthma attack. Bus takes you to the plane then you have to walk up a ramp into the plane. In the extreme heat, if you have health problems I highly suggest you either do VIP or have help from the airport prior to booking. I regret this as I didn’t realize this could of happened. Thank god the airplane is really cold but took me 2 hours to feel better. When I arrived home, they also stole my cigars so don’t leave any cigars in your check in luggage. I’m sure it was the airport in the Dominican Republic. Unfortunately I don’t recommend this hotel. I would not return. Also, not many people speak English so learn Spanish. I speak Spanish and still could not get the service at times. Gift shop extremely expensive. $6 usd for toothpaste, chips were 2 for $18 usd , I bought a stainless steal coffee tumbler and it was $30 usd. Bracelets were 3 for $10. Beware of the peddlers! They harass you everywhere you go especially the beach. They also start extremely high with prices then go really low when they see you won’t bite. We did 1 extersion which was good. The party boat - seascape - booked with Marcus. We paid $83 usd per person. They said high prices due to the pandemic:(. Bargain with the peddlers. We wanted to buy 3 bracelets and they asked for $80usd. Then we only took 2 of them and got for $15 usd each which it already broke . We purchased the metal ones with the blue stones. Anyway, al in all, I won’t return.

The hotel was really lovely. We especially loved the beach, it was just perfect! Huge, lots of shaded areas, not crowded, with turquoise water and white sand. It's the best feature of the hotel, truly! The room they initially gave us was a no-go due to the bathroom that was basically in the room, with no privacy at all. I had to go back to the reception and they changed our room to a much better one (with a spacious private bathroom) at no extra fee. The food in the buffets was OK. My partner did have an upset stomach one day, though. This lasted 24 hours. Make sure to pack Pepto-Bismol since they charge 21 USD for a pack of those pink chewable tablets. Other than that, everything was great.

Spent a fantastic week at Grand Palladium Bavaro. The staff were friendly, accomodating and always eager to help. The grounds, pool side and beach were clean all the time. Food was great and especially loved having the chance to experience all 3 of the hotels. Would go back for sure!

We visited Grand Palladium Bavaro in the last week of February 2023, The Staff was super friendly. Grand palladium had a lot of things inside the resort that you can do for fun like Live shows, night parties, and All the great Pools. We had an amazing time there, the food was good quality, not so many options for vegetarians though. Only one day they missed coming and cleaning the room/Making the bed, the rest of the days they were pretty good. There were no covid restrictions it was pretty normal-like pre covid times. will recommend this to others as well.

This was our 3rd time visiting this resort. Since the last time in 2016 the resort has greatly changed. I will start with the positives, the location is beautiful, the beach and the grounds are always well maintained. The drinks are better than the time before as well. Overall the food is ok. I had booked us in the small villas with a garden view which we had stayed before. We were told we were moved to another area as they were full. They called it an up grade, it was not. We were in the long villas with 3 levels, lots of rooms and incredibly loud, kids screaming, people arguing and because it’s open the whole Villa 30+ rooms hear it all, all Night. I had also booked to have side by side rooms with my senior parents they put us in Separate villas. The rooms are clean but I’m massive need of new mattresses and new pullouts. We switched rooms after the first night as the bed was so hard we didn’t sleep. The second room was not any better and there was no where for them to move us. The beds are as hard as sleeping on the ground. We didn’t sleep more than a couple hours a night. So we left the trip exhausted. Our air conditioner also broke down one night at 2 am with a large banging sound, we had to turn it off until morning when I went to the desk they said it would be until after 2 that someone would come until I said that was unacceptable they then sent someone immediately. The service was incredibly slow and they were completely understaffed. I would be asked if I wanted coffee after I was done my breakfast u less I got up and found someone to help our table. The same goes for the pool you have to get up to get your own drinks, Even with tipping the staff just doesn’t come around. I don’t recommend eating outside at the restaurants. We ate one night at the Asian restaurant, i believe they forgot about our table, our food came out 2 hours after we ordered. Even with me asking the staff 5 times we we’re about to walk out when it finally came out, it was all cold and while we waited I was bitten, and must have been swarmed all at once and ended up with 40 bites on my legs. We were really excited to go back to this resort and left completely exhausted and disappointed.

2nd time at this resort (been there last year) and have to admit that quality of service improved. Things I liked: 1. The staff. They manage to create a perfect vacation vibe, very helpful and seem to enjoy their work. I saw so many times when they invited guests to dance, did the high-fives or flying kisses with kids, smiling to guests and each other etc. They are really friendly and making sure you have great time - loved it. 2. Food/drinks was great, no complaints at all. Bonus points for Christmas dinner - fantastic selection and atmosphere 3. Small but nice thing - they had coffee machines and Aperol Spritz even at the beach bars, rare thing in other resorts. The beach - well, Bavaro beach is not the nicest I’ve been to, lots of waves, sargasso and the water is far from being transparent. Understandably, it’s not something the resort can fix, but they did clean the seaweed from the beach regularly. Things that need improvements - just one, the rooms - very dated, I tried 3 during my stay and all had same problems, shower and air conditioning system leaking water on the floor, air conditioners are rather noisy, lots of cracks in ceramics… Rooms were better in Palace and Punta Cana section.

Food was OK but some of the restaurants were disappointing Cockroaches our room . The public toilets were not cleaned and some were flooded. Beaches had a lot of seaweed OVERALL 3 *

Beautiful grounds with lots of greenery. It is a maze to get around which means more walking than I am use to. We managed and had a great time. Rooms were clean and very comfy. Checkin process is very long. Disappointed in coffee options as the real espresso machines are hidden in the back rooms.

The grounds were beautiful as were the pools, beach and spa however the rooms were run down and not as clean as I would like. I know I'm kind of fussy but things like soap stained shower doors, stained chrome, grime around light switch plates, sticky door handles, all put me off. Run down examples would be the need for grout replacement around tiles, door security chain falling off wall. Also found the staff kind of unhappy and unorganized, maybe understaffed due to pandemic? Anyway, was fine but Jamaica was better!

Overall grounds, restaurants and pool were very nice. Disappointed that most of the staff did not speak or understand English. Was difficult to converse with them. Staff at buffet were miserable. Did not smile. They definitely do not enjoy there jobs.

We've stayed at Palladium in Punta Cana several times, and had been given VIP status (special bracelet) the past 2 years. We did get the VIP bracelets again this year. However, the hotel did not honour a request for first floor rooms. Navigating stairs wasn't easy for my spouse and our companion's spouse. The amenities at the resort were fairly good, although food wasn't always very hot at some of the a la carte restaurants. We generally like Palladium (particularly the Bavaro section) because we've become very familiar with the surroundings. The staff are generally very friendly, and we've established personal relationships with some of them. One aspect that I don't like is the Travel Club. We are confronted by their agents at all parts of the resort, and they don't like it when we say we are not interested in what they are selling. They often employ trick tactics to get you to talk further with them. We sat through a gruelling 3 hours with them several years ago, and decided that Travel Club wasn't for us.

Second year visiting Punta Cana with the family and first year at Grand Palladium Bavaro. Perfect resort, gorgeous beach, nice rooms, fabulous food and great staff. Highly recommend for families. The year prior we stayed at another 4.5 star resort however it was more commercialized and definitely a 'party atmosphere'. GP is not that type of resort though there's sure plenty of fun to be had. We absolutely loved the beach, long stretch of sand with plenty of chairs and beach huts to go around. The resort complex is huge and you'd think it would be hard to find spots at the beach or pools but due to its' size it was never a problem and never felt crowded. We travelled as a family of 4, son is 13 and daughter is 11. Both kids had a blast, they didn't bother with the teen's club as crashing the ocean waves and swinging in the pool hammocks was more their style this year. Evening shows were fun, entertainment team is solid. Food was very good. Buffet's standard fare and didn't have a bad meal, ala carte's were really tasty. We loved El Dorado (my son's favorite by far), nice that it isn't reservation based just be prepared for a bit of a wait if you don't time your visit properly. Rooms are nice, clean and well set up. We were steps away from the beach and one of the pools so couldn't ask for much better. Resort is very big, we didn't mind walking though and only rode the trollies a couple of times. For anyone who is concerned about getting around there's lots of trollies to take get you where you need to go. Service was top notch, staff are very friendly and always with a smile. We absolutely loved every part of our visit.

Hotel overall is good. Especially the service staff. Beaches: very high waves and strong currents, beach rescue teams were non existent. Lot of peddled on the beach. Beach bars did not come around to serve beverages or fruits.

We had a couple issues with the room the first day, but they rectified the issues and all was good after that. The beach was amazing, they bring a tractor and attachment down every morning to clean up any remnants of seaweed. The food was fabulous, especially the Ala Cartes, Steak house, Spanish, Mexican, Asian, Japanese, Italian and so on. Entertainment in the Theater every night, we spent a couple hours at the Sports bar just before each show. Lobby had music entertainment every night, it was wonderful. The grounds are always spotless and well kept. My wife and I had really good time and will definitely go back.

Clean resort. Food good and lot's of choices. Japanese and Mexican a la carte restaurants the best. All staff very friendly. Rooms needed some maintenance - pull out bed broken, electrical plugs loose and not hold plug, fridge not cold. Staff fixed issues over a few days. Very helpful. Overall rating would be a 4 1/2 because of the required room maintenance and some a la carte restaurants not the best.

We travelled with friends who were 13 time returning guests. The hotel upgraded all of us to VIP status, even though this was only our 9th Palladium visit. We had access to everything that only Royal Suites guests usually get. There were some new restaurants this year. We tried a couple of them and were impressed. Overall dining experience was excellent. Our initial room was quite musty and Ruth suffers from asthma. The porter arranged for us to be moved and we were pleased with the new room. It was in the same building as last year's room, and very close to our Bavaro pool. Total experience was very good.

Grounds good . Beach good. Visitors not first priority. Food poor to fair. Rooms are below 3 star. Rooms we request are not available unless we were to pay an upgrade fee of $500.00. 50$ per night. No rum and fruit basket in room, no bathrobes, not even after 6 times promised, one by manager who was in our 3rd room due to Safe not opening. Worms on room floor. Many room problems and half assed bandage type fixes. Done visiting and promoting this resort.

Beautiful location and facilities, and most service was excellent. Bad experience on check-in with upselling of rooms that were not as promised. Then a dangerous (electrified) hot tub in the room that was never fixed (and kept us waiting on maintenance for hours. Buffet meals were passable, but the a la carte dinner restaurants were mostly just plain disappointing. Overall, 95% of our time there was really good, but the 5% that was bad was key and really frustrating so damaged our enjoyment of the whole trip.

Its only 3.5 hours to paradise !! Everything was amazing . We had much to learn as this was our first all inclusive getaway . The restaurants were top notch with amazing 5 course meals and very friendly staff .

Hotel and rooms are tired, but were under renovations. Staff was very good and friendly. Beach was excellent, but too many vendors selling on it. It will be very nice after reno. Others in our party had some room issues.

This resort is is 1 of 3 together, located at Bavaro Beach and IT IS THE BEST. I have stayed at the Palace also and the Bavaro is a 10. The rooms are very spacious with a balcony and you overlook luscious grounds that are very well maintained. The pool is great with a swim-up bar and the beach is one with soft white sand. Also lots of shade areas. Swimming is great, no rocks etc to surprise you in the water. Occassionally you have nice waves to jump thru with no undertoe and you can walk along the water's edge for miles, if that is your wish. The hotel staff is very friendly and always there to assist and help. In my opinion, the bavaro area is the area with the BEST BEACHES.

Great location! One of my big worries on an all inclusive (other than hoping to get good weather) is "Will it be too crowded?" Our trip was Feb 5 - 12, and there was ZERO overcrowding! No trouble getting a spot around the pool or at the beach any time of day. Food was both good and bad: Breakfast - Terrific buffet! Lunch - Decent quality and variety but ONLY buffet options - would be nice to have some a la carte lunches. Dinner - All fantastic. Accommodations were very nice, but starting to show a little bit of age. A little to over the top with the presentation / pressure to join the vacation club.

Our room was excellent. The only problem we had was getting English channels on the TV. The food was good in all the places we went except for the Bavaro buffet and they weren't able to keep the food hot. Overall the resort was very good!

We were very pleased with the rooms we received this year. The in room amenities were great. The rooms were within a short walk to the pool, the beach, and the Bavaro lobby. Staff were very friendly. We look forward to returning next year. The Palladium is our report of choice in Punta Cana. We had a rather bad experience in 2016, but our issues were addressed by management before we left the resort.

Just came back from spending 7 days at the grand palladium bavaro The resort was clean and absolutely amazing no complaints whats so ever . Great for couple and families Would definitely recommend this resort to anyone The palladium has plenty of bars pools and over a dozen restaurants

Resort is large but still has a personal feel. Lots of variety in the food choices - we went to 6 a la carte restaurants and each was good. Would recommend reservations for the more popular Brazil and Japanese spots (do this on day one). We enjoyed the activities (pool aerobics and exercise bikes in the pool). Word of caution on the beach activities, staff are very enthusiastic and want you to write a review then and there. One actually "helped" and took our phone and deleted what we wrote and made their own review (in Spanish no less so we couldn't even read it). Beach is fantastic. Ample chairs and lots of shade to move in and out of at will. We had a bit of a issue at check in. Our room was musty and we requested a new one. Our bell boy abandoned us and we had to cart our luggage all the way back to the lobby to start over. Was disappointed with that piece of the service. But all other servers were very friendly and helpful.

The Resort and the beach was nice but the food wasn't the greatest, every buffet had the same food every day of the week.The night entertainment wasn't too good also....and when there was entertainment it was all in Spanish , not much for teenagers to do in the evening. There was no variety of different beers at the bars, always the same kind of beer...

Went with a family of 5 (3 kids under 11) and we had a good time. There are pros and cons to the resort. With access to all 3 Palladium resorts there were many pools/pool bars and restaurants to choose from and a long sandy beach (no rocks - great for kids to swim). There were lots of activities by the pool and hot dog/popsicle stands that the kids loved. It was relatively easy to find seats by the pool/beach everyday. The food was so-so. After a few days we were sick of the buffets - there was a large variety but there was the same food selection everyday. There were 45-60 minute wait times at several of the a la carte restaurants as you could not make reservations in advance. This wasn't a problem for our family as we were always full from lunch and happy to wait it out in the bar. A few staff were great but overall most staff were not very friendly/helpful and there was a language barrier (limited English). There were vender stands on the resort and they were very pushy, grabbing even the kids and trying to get us to buy jewelry, wood carvings etc constantly - same with the beach. The grounds were really well kept but several pools were quite dirty (likely due to rainfall overnight).

Good food, rooms great, staff very helpful and courteous. Only negative comment is WestJet rep. Was not there for presentation. Waited 30 minutes but he never came. Called him third day and he sais he would come in 10 minutes but he never came. Day before departure, we wanted to confirm our pick-up but he wasn't answering his phone. We had to ask the hotel to call him the morning of departure. Really bad experience with him.

Un resort qui nous a donné des vacances reposantes. Nous nous sommes bien détendu. Côté chambre rien à dire. Côté restauration les buffets je les trouvent relativement bon. On y trouve son compte. Les restaurants sont très bien décorés mais ils manquent de raffinement par rapport au cadre. Le kids club est disons correct. Le baby club reste moyen. Cela manque de jeux pour les plus petits et de personnels content de les recevoir. C'est un peu le travail à la chaîne pour certaines personnes. Le service de manière general est bien, les gens sont très souriant et serviable. Ils le sont plus avec des pourboires. Le voyage etait bien organisé- avion air transat génial - transfert bien- Check in & out bien aussi. La plage est bien egalement. Les piscines sont bien. Les toilettes sont très propres. L'hygiène du resort en générale était très professionnelle. Femme de ménage de la chambre très bien. Activités nocturnes animations bien. L'alcool à volonté c'est bien mais autant le faire moins à volonté et avoir de l'alcool de qualité. En gros moins boire et mieux. Excursion faite monkey land pour les enfants c'était bien: nota ils abusent avec leur photos à 10 dollars la photo c'est un peu de l'arnaque bref. Dans l'ensemble je suis satisfait de mon séjour. Je retournerais dans un palladium avec plaisir.

OK. let me start by saying this was our honeymoon resort 10 years ago. We returned here 10 years later with the kids (three girls 7, 4, 3) - Aug 2016. We flew Air Transat. Only good thing was registering for their Kids Club -- totally free and fully worth it. You get your kids seats selection for free (basically only pay for the two adults). You can use the club class line to check in. You get a snack coupon for each kid since they dont give out snacks on these flights unless you pay for them. Got to the Bavaro resort lobby around 1:30. Got our check in documents/keys, etc and received a cold welcome drink. Concierge said the room will be ready only around 3:30--that's how it started. Believe me I know what i'm getting into with All-inclusive trips and realize there will be minor little issues here and there, so keep this in mind while reading. I will "TIP" along the way for useful things we learned that you could take advantage of. TIP: if you love walking this is the place to go. If you have little kids that don't like walking, try a smaller resort. This place is pretty huge. Take the little coach train that drive around every 20 minutes to get from one spot to another. TIP: use the map they give you -- you will need it. We walked around and took the train to the first dining spot we saw -- Las Torres buffet. The whole resort is divided into four sections (Bavaro, Punta Cana, Palace, Royal Suites). You can make use of most of their facilities. Went back at 3:30. Got to building 26 to see the room was not even ready. They moved us to the adjacent building (building 24). Standard Room (Master Junior suite: two double beds, pullout couch, separate washroom and a small balcony facing the grounds. Sink got clogged the first time we used it. We all went swimming and walked back around 7. Key didn't work. Tried a bunch of times. I then had to leave my wife and 3 kids standing there wet and ran in my slippers all the way to the lobby (about 15 min walk). Later that night we moved to building 17 (Room 1712). TIP: Building 17, 18, 19 are luxury buildings at Bavaro -- Building 19 I think is for Travel Club guests. When we came back with the kids asleep we went into the new room and only then I noticed there is no separate washroom--this was some sort of couples room--couples who don't mind going to the washroom in an open concept room. The closure was a frosted glass door that was open at the bottom and top and the shower was the same. You can see pretty much everything. When we went to the washroom we had to send the kids to the outdoor patio. We thought we should be grateful and didn't want to say anything. (this was night 1/day 2). Day 2 night-- the power goes off twice only in our suite -- we called for repair at 8 and when we came back to room at 11PM it was not done. We called again and repair man was in our room from 11:30PM - 12:15AM. Day 3, I had enough and we were moved to building 30 -- this was an upper room with an ocean view. It was a blessing. I hated to complain but we couldn't stay without a closed bathroom. Restaurants: We tried El Arrecife (buffet), Tapeo (spanish), Sports bar (bar food 24 hrs), Rodizio (Brazillian), Las Torres (buffet), Adelita (buffet). TIP: dont waste time at Tapeo -- it was like some weird try at modern spanish fare. There was gray paste on our plate that was supposed to be a sauce. It tasted like you would image gray paste to taste. Rodozio was okay. Meats were not great but the chicken at the steakhouse was good :-) The indian (Bhogali) was the best meal. Great curry and tasty naan break. Although the second time the curry had too much garlic salt. TIP: The buffets are nice-- there is las torres in the punta cana side and then the main Adelita in the Bavaro lobby. The mangos is what drove me back to punta cana. i ate so much fruit for practically every meal --mangos, papaya, watermelon, passion fruit. The Arrecife is crowded and open (no AC). Food wasn't so good here. Guy at the grilling station was switching from cutting raw chicken breast to flipping burgers and didn't really wash his hands -- salmonella for sure. He got busted by a guest so he grabs an egg, crushes it in his hand, uses that as soap and rinses it off. Island sanitizer? Pools: If you have kids, spend your day at the Kids club pool area (punta cana section). There's a big pool (shallow and deep end) as well as a splash pad area with a big pirate ship and small water slides. This is in the centre of the resort. The kids club is also very nice. It was a drop in sort of program but a lot of people left there kids there the whole day--weird. but i'm sure they had fun. They had a small rock climbing wall and a small zip line section and a movie theatre. The Bavaro side pool is crowded and really dirty. the other pool in the Punta Cana section closer to the beach is also crowded and dirty. All the pools had tiles missing here and there and two of us cut our feet on these -- no good. TIP: Bring lots of bandaids. Beach: The beach was amazing -- can't complain. The water is a little mirky, closer to the shore so you can really see much when under, but i'm sure it is clear when you go past the safety buoys. The chairs do get taken fast but we weren't there to sun tan, so all good. The sand is incredible, soft, and white (or yellow, i couldn't tell). Souvenirs: The resort has souvenir shops and also some vendors that come to the resort and setup tables. These are not locals but are employed by the hotel to sell--you really wont get a good deal or anything. The gift shops are okay for little magnets ($3/$4) but frames, shirts, etc are expensive. The day before we left we found out about a free van that takes you off the resort to a local gift shop to buy souvenirs. We go to the little "strip mall" and went in. It was a clean mall like store. When we go in they said, "once you finish we will take you outside--more stuff there". So we bought a few magnets and went outside--we were ushered into another store--no price tags, so i figure this is the place to bargain--and it was. TIP: Buy one or two small things in the first store and wait to shop at the second. We got tshirts, little glass bottles with sand, purses, etc. Other: The resort had a claim your prize thing on our door so we went to see. It was a sales tactic to sign up for their Palladium Travel Club. They took us to a staged room in building 19. It was the most amazing place i've seen. Honestly, take the tour for curiosity sake. After rejecting their sales pitch of $17000 membership, I asked for the prize. It was $100 off at the spa. My wife used it for a $99 massage. Fully worth it. Muguel and Francisco from the front desk were very helpful in resolving any issues that arose.

The hotel was nice on the second floor, the first floor smelled musty, the beach was beautiful, the grounds were well maintained. The staff very friendly. However, one of us had our toe cut open in the swimup bar pool and reported it, not much was done about it . While on the beach it was annoying being constanlty harrased by salesmen selling excursions. I would go back to Punta Cana again

Amazing experience for our first time at an all inclusive resort to the tropics . the food was excellent ,(so many restaurants to choose from)the staff were friendly and helpful, the grounds were beautifully kept , always someone working in the gardens . our rooms were kept well with fresh towels and linens and our mini fridge kept full with lots of water. .

My husband and I took a last-minute vacation. Our TripCentral agent, Miranda, was very helpful. She recommended some upgrades and patiently worked with us while we decided our location ~ Grand Palladium Bavaro. We ended up travelling with Air Transat which were happy with. We have never had an issue w/ them. We had a great time on our vacation. The resort was beautiful and very large. We received an upgrade to our room; the Romance w/ Outdoor Mayan shower. Very nice and clean. The staff was friendly. We left our safe open one evening and the maid service turned down our sheets. Nothing was touched ~ we were very impressed and left a letter of thanks with our concierge. The service was good as was the food. Oh my, the food. So much food! The beach was stunning. Windy, but stunning. We did the romantic dinner on the beach. Very nice as well. Our Air Transat representative was great as was the Palladium concierge. We liked that we could make reservations at the restaurants and order room service. We paid for the option plus and would definitely do it if going again. We will be back for sure and will bring our teens next time. It was a great last-minute vacation.

Stayed at the Bavaro Palladium resort in Punta Cana. Newer buildings chose Roof Top Terrace . Sixth time on property. William at Palace pool bar is the best plus Alex, Carmen, Giselle, Carlos, Marylus

Perfect food, nice beach, good rooms but far from shopping area, plus most of the peole in the hotel speaks only spanish , so if u know spanish it will be an amazing option. If not u will suffer in ordering something.

Upon arrival with my wife and I, and my Mom and her boyfriend, we were placed on opposite sides of the complex. We took our concerns to the front desk and spoke with the Manager and, although appearing reluctant, he put us in the same building in an upgraded room. There was no hot water in the room, no TV and no phone. We notified the front desk again, and with some pushing, had the TV and phone fixed and working. The hot water was eventually adjusted and was goo for the week. Bavaro complex was great; the pool could use some shallower areas as it forced you to be at the wet bar or on the pool deck (no worries, service was great in both locations). The beach was clean and there were lots of palapas and loungers. The a la carte restaurants were terrible to get in; first-come, first-served. They need to fix this problem!! Didn't matter, the buffet was excellent and there was a 24 hour Sports Bar that served pub food from the menu. Overall, a great week.

The Grand Palladium Bavaro was fun, beautiful grounds to wander through, safe environment and was overall the most enjoyable vacation to remember. The various locations within the resort were open for viewing and experimenting find restaurants with the use of the on-time, reliable transportation to and fro. Highly recommended for fun-loving people who want to have a relaxing, yet invigorating atmosphere, for a vacation spot.

The beach was very good, but there were too many people trying to sell things when we just wanted to relax and not be bothered. The food was good, but not great. Service was ok, but not exceptional. But for the price we paid it was good value.

The weather was great for the most part (1 full day of rain and a couple evening showers in the 10 days we were there). The room was exactly what we requested (King bed, second floor, central location). The staff was generally friendly but language was an issue in a few cases (some only spoke Spanish and barely understood English). The beach was nice but very crowded (tons of foot traffic) but the area where the loungers were was adequately spaced out (as we weren’t right on top of each other). We would have liked a less busy beach with less vendors trying to sell us stuff. Our two main complaints were the food and the amount of kids. In retrospect we should have booked an adults only resort. The food was generally tasty but it made our stomach’s upset for multiple days on and off the last 4 days we were there. Two of the days were really bad as we had to be close to a washroom or stay in our room altogether. We have never gotten upset stomachs in Jamaica the past 4 years so we were really disappointed…and we eat VERY clean (no junk or sweets). Overall we would give the trip a 6.5 out of 10. The stomach issue, screaming kids and cheesy shows really put a damper on things. The resorts decent but not exceptional...we've definitely stayed at better. For families this is a 'good resort'...big kids play section and tons of activities. For couples without kids or single people, I would avoid this place.

The rooms and location were very good. The grounds were clean and well maintained. The staff were very cordial and helpful. The pools require some repair and the room requires ventilation in the washrooms. Overall it was a very good trip!

The Palladium Bavaro was very well kept the grounds were clean service was great and everyone was so polite. Rooms were always made up and cleaned for us. There was plenty of places to eat. Would defenitly go back again!

It is a large resort, but manageable to get around by train or by taxi. The resort is well maintained, the staff is very friendly and always making sure that you have everything you need. There is a large choice of restaurants with a good variety of foods. There are large pools with swim up bars, the bartenders are very friendly. Miguel at imperial service was great. The only negative thins were the guys set up for the market, very persistent and would not leave you alone. It was a very relaxing time in the sun. Can't wait to go back. This was our second time there with our kids.

My family and I had an amazing time at the resort! The staff and grounds people were constantly working to keep everything clean. The property was immaculately kept at all times. The room we stayed in was beautiful as well. Tons of food and a variety of it every day as they held different theme nights, Italian, Mexican, international, Asian etc... There were also several À la cart restaurants to choose from as well so you could never get bored from the food. There are so many activities that you can do with the family. We went on a village tour which was amazing. Also did the pirate tour where we swam with sharks and got close to stingrays after being taken out on a huge pirate boat by some very entertaining pirates! If I had one negative thing to say about the resort, it's the same as with most resorts, don't get sucked into the sales people trying to "give" you something as no one will give you something for nothing. Otherwise, great resort for kids and the whole family. The beach had a lot of seaweed but that's happening all over the Caribbean and isn't avoidable. Luckily there are lots of pools at the resort and they are amazing pools. Lots to do..would go again!

Excellent resort.....costumer services to the finest. ....food and facilities really good. I'm going back.,Their costumer services should be an example for other hotels in the Caribbean. Tripcentral again allow me to have an awesome vacation with the family

We are frequented this particular resort 3 times now. We always enjoy our stay. Great service on entry. Less in exit. We had our luggage rummaged through. Glasses stollen. Don't recommend leaving luggage with them. We had only because we were denied a late check out so we were 6hrs without a room. We booked 6minths ahead. Requested late checkout multiple times. Each time we were told to come back another day. Very frustrating. They were over booked. A few people were put into a hotel for a few days. Very odd. Otherwise very good. A la carte restaurants are just fabulous. Food is great. Our room was awesome. The one hiccup is we asked for king beds but they had none left so we had two doubles. We moved them together. Again we requested the king beds months in advance. This wa out third visit. I expected to get what we asked for. They need to invest in a better scheduling software. It was an expensive resort.

I was in villa 14 and the room was beautiful. Large bathroom with jacuzzi bath. Very soundproof did not hear a thing unless people were in hallway. Was on my own and I felt sAfe knowing security was always walking the grounds. The grounds was beautiful and beach absolutely gorgeous. Staff was always courteous and accommodating. If I had a problem with room like tv was not working properly they came to fix. Restaurant and buffet eating and being able to visit resorts having a train to bring us around. All around wonderful trip and would go again in a heartbeat. My brother who was there as well bought a time share he liked it so much.

Upon arrival our pre-booked adjoining rooms were on opposite floors. The concierge asked us for $250 USD to have them adjoining so naturally we paid this as we brought children with us. We asked the Supervisor the next day if this was common practice and he said NO and returned our cash within 24hrs. The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately 3 out of 5 of us became sick from food poisoning on 3 separate days. They were reluctant to permit us to take food from the buffet back to our room for those who were ill but then finally brought out styro plates and then it was not a problem the rest of the week. The beach was beautiful, the grounds were well manicured, the trolley was nice to see all 3 resorts, and there is a wonderful 'secret' adults only pool that we found out about on our 2nd last day (open to all guests of the three resorts) that is an absolute dream free of children playing, filled with spa music, fountains and much more elaborate beverages at the bar. Find this pool...you will NOT be disappointed.

From the moment you step off the shuttle you enter into paradise. Clear and fast check in. Very large and diversified resort, fun, rest, food and service for all tastes and ages. This was my 2nd time at the Palladium Bavaro Resort and Spa and I'm sure there will be a 3rd stay. Cleanliness and impeccable gardens. Rooms are large, exceptionally well maintained and very clean. Our maid Palamal was attentive to my every detail. The beach, the beach, what can I say about it except serenity and moments of fun for all. I can't comment on the pools, except for one that I witnessed a holding a very festive party of soap suds spraying and the crowd going wild. ('m a beach person) The Cathedral Buffet was renovated since my last visit 2010, wow, food for all tastes and appetites. The Arriceff buffet by the beach is excellent. The A la carte restaurants are all excellent. The Hemingway bar very relaxing after a copious meal ;) and served me excellent Porto! Can't wait to return!

The rooms were very spacious and wonderfully air conditioned! The resort was lovely and the option of using the chauffeured golf carts to other parts of the resort and other restaurants was fun. There were many dinner options, but the lunch was limited to the beach-front cafeteria. We sampled the Mexican, Italian, Spanish and Steak Restaurants when we were there. The Spanish restaurant was particularly good. The beach was lovely and the water clear. There was quite a tide so snorkeling was not an option. There were a few pools, one central one which was very busy and loud. We found a quieter one which was virtually empty and had it almost to ourselves. Do not drink the water! Many of the folks we met had experienced tummy troubles, so take appropriate medication, just in case. The excursions are very expensive, so shop around.

As you all are probably going to read.... Yes, the resort was huge. I still got lost on the last day I was leaving! (Had to take short cuts through the grass!) Other than that, it was great! I'll give everyone a run down: Food: Excellent choice! They change up the theme every night. Mexican night was so delish! A La Carte's: The group I was with had unlimited a la carte's so we went to three: Mexican, Asian and Japanese. I recommend the Mexican because they fajitas were so good! And the Japanese because the show is entertaining! Pool: I can always get a seat, maybe not under shade, but at least there are seats. .. One pool to swim in and it was never over crowded. They did however start their activities so late in the afternoon (about 5:00pm) that we didn't feel like joining. They did have good activities though! (Foam party in the pool, giant blow up slide...) Workers walking around with animals: There is a company that walks around with a different animal each day. (Sometimes a monkey, birds, iguana, snakes...) They want about $12-$15 to take some pictures that you can get on a CD. Don't bother asking them to take pictures with your own camera. Tried to give them money but they were rude to me. All well! Grounds: So nicely kept! They work so hard to maintain everything there. Make sure to give the gardeners something. Even if it's a bottle of water. They will appreciate it so much. There are a few from Haiti that came over to work so they will love anything you give them. Rooms: These are one of the best rooms I have ever stayed in. They are huge! Loved the layout of the rooms. - I was in 1466 which is building 46. Close to the pool and lobby. :) Beach: Amazing. Need I say more? - It's gorgeous! The sand, the turquoise water, the fact that you can just walk out into the ocean with it being all sand is amazing. Loved Bavaro Beach! Sports bar: THE CHICKEN. I fell in love. They have breaded chicken that is so good you will become addicted. Seriously. If it wasn't so unhealthy I would have ate it the entire trip! Disco: Lot's of fun! Didn't turn into a sweat box like the rest of the resorts I've been to. It's pretty aired out. No complaints! Overall: I had a great time! Other than the constant walking.. (Bring a beach bag to put all of your stuff in so you don't have to go back to the room). Great resort for friends, family, and couples. - Not as much activities for children as I have seen on other resorts but still fun. Room Tip: 1466 - Building 46 - Close to the pool, lobby and piano bar.

Getting reservations was terrible. They wouldn't allow us to have more than 3 for fine dining and got denied at one restaurant for wearing dress shorts and not full length pants; in the heat of the islands I was expecting more logic and understanding from the staff. Unacceptable, will not return

Wonderful food! Very clean! We had a wonderful time, friendly people. Kids club need to improve and be more organized. Nice resort with the kids.nice beach and wonderful pool for the children. I would recommend this resort.

It was a beautiful resort. There were many dining options available + a 24/7 sports bar that had food! Our room was great, however, except for 2/7 days we were there we didn't have hot water and our all our tv channels had lines on them. They eventually fixed the hot water issue but the tv issue they said was a company issue and not the resort's..also, it was so hot there that the beds and sheets became kind of moist....my $ was even fading into my jean pockets lol ....I also lost $150 USD which I know someone stole from our room, I packed the night before we left and took everything out of the safe (which I know was my mistake but still) - the resort did an "investigation" and found "nothing"......there is a disco on the resort which was fun & I do recommend checking out Club Mangu :) the beaches are amazing..... Despite our room issues and my stolen cash, I did have a great visit - the people there are so friendly.... it also helped that my trip was all-inclusive!

I had a great time At the grand bavaro I would definitely go back again ! The people made me feel right at home and the weather was just gorgeous! The rooms were top notch and the service was just as good ! I will definitely be taking a trip back there some time in the near future!!!

Grounds were beautiful.. Food was great.. Entertainment could be better.. Mosquito at nite were bad... Upgraded room was awesome.. Pool was wonderful... Bars were great.. Location was amazing as beach is beautiful

We had just been to Bahia Punta Cana in October and preferred it to Grand Palladium. It was under some type on construction in the lobby and not very attractive. Restroom in lobby out of service most days. Front desk staff not friendly. The buffet set up was not very attractive at all.
