I was expecting to have a high end experience given the elevated price for the property. The pool areas, including the washroom facilities were tired and not in good repair. At this price point I will pass on this resort and brand in future. Service was great however, no complaints there.

My trip and vacation was great. The weather was hot.l would recommend that inclusive should be clarified who is responsible for shuttle transportation from Puerto Vallarta airport to the hotel and return from hotel to the airport. It was not clear if Airtransat was the shuttle provider since at the arrival No-one was available but likely there were plenty of taxis at the airport. This item should be clarified and organized better.

This was an incredible vacation with my adult children and their spouses. My room was perfect, large, comfortable bed and I could hear the sound of the waves hitting the beach when I was in bed at night. There were five different restaurants all serving great meals and the buffet where we ate breakfast and lunch had a variety of delicious foods. Plenty of pool areas and a clean beautiful beach. The evenings entertainment was good and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

Thanks to Nicole Deforest from Trip Central our trip was Perfect. From the time we booked till the time we got off the plane in Calgary. Everything went very smooth. This Hotel is one of our favorite's, you may pay a little more but its certainly worth it. When we checked in we were greeted with a glass of Champaign and a wash cloth. Check in took about 2 minutes, our bags were at our room by they time we got there. The room was very clean and a certificate was tapped to the entrance door letting us know that it had been sanitized. That was very comforting. All the staff were required to wear face masks and they were continually whipping down and cleaning chairs, tables and even the pool. The food quality in all the restaurant's were 5 star and we really had difficulty deciding where to eat our next meal....lol... really! Yes we would recommend this Hotel and Yes we will be returning .....SOON!

The view was fantastic and hotel staff were very friendly. A smaller resort but still a variety of food options and great that you can see the ocean from every pool. The room service was almost always expedient except one late night order taking an hour. The room service menu was limited and I was hoping to try the asian restaurant out again but it was closed two of the seven nights we were there. Other than that our food experience was great. The gym is well equipped and also has a great view. We had a balcony ocean view but I would just go for ocean view next time, the rooms are the exact same. Nothing super spectacular about the rooms.

Good resort overall. While much of the resort is a bit run down and needs some repair the beach makes up for it - the best beach I've been to in Puerto Vallarta. The restaurants also are located on the beach with great views of the bay. Food quality was very good. Entertainment was just ok and entertainment staff were not as outgoing or inviting as I have found at other resorts. All other staff and service was excellent. Rooms were very spacious but beds not the most comfortable.

We were guests of the Hyatt Ziva from November 13 - 20, 2019. We stayed in a swim-out suite in the Club Tower. Our room was beautiful. Although we quickly realized the pool and patio didn't get sun until about 3pm, we appreciated the other pools until then. The sunsets were spectacular. Hearing the ocean surf crashing was amazing. The level of customer service was above and beyond. Our pool was quite cool, so I mentioned it to the concierge. The next day, it was very comfortable! We enjoyed the food, and appreciated that we didn't need dinner reservations and didn't need to stand in line at diñner time. The resort was a perfect size - we didn't have to walk far for anything. Thank-you Hyatt Ziva for a great experience! We'll be back!

We arrived on Sunday Nov. 17th 2019. Westjet Vacations transported us directly to the Hyatt Ziva. We were Greeted by the front desk staff with "Welcome Home" followed by a glass of bubbling wine and a cool cloth to wash off our hands and face. Our check-in was quick and effortless. We were shown to our room along with our luggage. The room was further from the elevator than we had hoped for,the concierge immediately called the front desk and we were promised a room closer to the elevator the following morning. (this was done) The room was as requested, king-bed, A/C, bathroom and balcony. The grounds and swim-up pools were all very,very clean. The beach I believe is certainly one of the finest in Puerto Vallarta and a Federal life guard is on the beach every day. The food in the 5 restaurants make if very difficult deciding each meal time where you are going to dine that day. All the Staff are amazing and I can only say that I would love to have any one of them working for me, they make the resort. Thank You Hyatt Ziva....We will Return!

The hotel was very well kept and clean, and the staff were all very friendly. We had amazing views of the beach from our room and there were always empty palapas to sit under. The restaurants were all very good, especially the Asian one.

From the 5 Star food to the service of all the friendly staff & management, the Resort is nothing short of Amazing, & the quality of life that can be found here is exquisite. Beautiful sand beaches, Gorgeous Green Palm Trees, how could you not find yourself in a piece of Heaven wishing you didn't have to go home !! Definitely would recommend again !

Everything about this place is fantastic with one exception, the "towel game" is the resort's biggest problem. There is absolutely no problem that you get up early and leave your towel and a book to secure yourself a spot, however because there is no limit to towels people are securing both a spot at the pool and the beach leaving it limited for others. Positives: - No wristbands - No reservations required for restaurants - Vendors are respectful and don't bother you - Private beach - Resort is spotless - Staff are accommodating and extremely friendly - Food is amazing, best part of this resort is that there are a number of restaurants open throughout the day, including breakfast. You are not limited to the buffet - Close proximity to "old town" Puerto Vallarta Would I recommend: I most certainly did and my best friend will be celebrating her 40th Wedding Anniversary this May.

We celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary at the Hyatt ziva in PVR and were not disappointed. Julia Tollis of Trip Central set this us for me way back in September and did an amazing job, thank you Julia!

This was our 8th return visit to the Hyatt Ziva in PVR. Our trip was book through Colleen at Trip Central and we did received everything that we asked for. If you are looking for a friendly and quite place to relax for say a week or two then the Hyatt Ziva is worth a try. If you wanna go wild and crazy and party till the sun comes up, then better look for another hotel. The Hyatt is an excellent place for children with lots for them to do, they even get to release baby turtles in the evenings. I think they had at least 1 if not 2 weddings everyday on the beach, complete with fireworks in the evening. Come 11pm all is quiet! Food was Excellent! Service was Excellent! Location, outside town is perfect for relaxing away from the hustle & bustle of tourists, but still close enough for easy access to down town by taxi. The trip takes only a few minutes and experiencing the local history and culture well worth the time. Taxi drivers are very friendly and helpful. We took the evening sunset cruise from the Marina, loved the sail and views if the coastline, especially the mountains, then watched the sun set on the water-just lovely! The resort is beautiful and well maintained, five restaurants to choose from with good food choices, two right on the water. All rooms face the ocean and offer beautiful sunset views. We loved being in the warm ocean and strolling the beautiful white sandy the beach. Wonderful attentive staff attend to all your needs. The adult only infinity pool was our choice for relaxing, but the two other pools were always lively for the fun loving active holidaymakers! We were treated twice to turtles laying their eggs on the beach. Overall a great vacation spot with lots of options to suit different personalities.

Just returned February 19th after a week in our Favorite resort. This was our 6th time there and was not disappointed. Shauna from Trip Central took care of booking our room and flight with WestJet....all we had to do was go and relax. We always meet people that have been returning 15,16 and up to 19 times to this resort. Why? Best beach in PVR, All Staff and restaurants are awesome. Never a shortage of chairs or beach towels, grounds and rooms very clean, best sunsets anywhere in Mexico. We will be back. Thank You Trip Central. Marion & Jim

Our 7th trip to PV in 7 years. By far, the best location for sunsets on the bay. Located a bit south of town, it is a more expansive resort compared to other hotels in town, never felt crowded. The Hyatt has the best beach I've seen in the area, very private, great sand, a chair for everyone. There are several pools, more than other PV hotels, and you won't have a problem getting a lounger. The food is good, large buffet. The Asian restaurant was amazing. The staff are very friendly. We had the most incredible maid service, pool side drinks kept coming, and I've never seen landscaping staff work so hard. The kids club, though not very attractive, has very caring, hard working ladies on staff and they have great programming for the kids. The Now Amber has a few more bells and whistles, but if you are looking for value and don't care to be right in town, this place is for you.

No review complete without mentioning the great service and information received from Melanie M. at TripCentral. Despite a few concerns about rain and cloudy weather we selected mid-August for our week-long stay at the Hyatt Ziva, Puerto Vallarta to avoid the crowds. It was the right decision as the pool and beach areas, restaurants, etc. were crowd-free and the weather was perfect. There was only one day of rain and it was in the late evening. The weather reports pre-departure were not accurate so don't let that deter you. On the positive side, the resort should definitely receive a solid four stars and the magnificent beach deserves five stars. In Mexico, they are not allowed to have private beaches but the Hyatt is situated between rock formations which prevent access from either side, rendering the beach virtually private. The few beach vendors are all resort-approved and carry a license saying so. If you are not interested, you only need say it once and they respect it and walk away. The resort property is really lovely and the grounds manicured and maintained to perfection. We chose to upgrade our room to a Club Suite Oceanfront View which was spacious and well-appointed and worth every penny of the reasonable cost. The staff are top-flight - extremely polite and service-oriented. Even though an all-inclusive, tips for poolside drinks to housekeeping are greatly appreciated. We were really surprised at guests who were at the pool all day, ordering dozens of drinks, who didn't even have the common courtesy to tip every so often. I'm glad to say they weren't from Canada. We stayed near the adult-only infinity pool which was lovely. On the negative side, it seems to be a chronic problem with resorts to have loud music blaring from speakers but the sound was a little less by the adult-only pool and seemed concentrated at the other infinity pools for families, the swim up bar, etc.. At least they didn't make announcements of activities every hour upon the hour. In the tower we stayed at, there was construction noise that started at 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. which we didn't expect and would have appreciated knowing about as the sound was loud in our rooms and around the pool area. It might have been a booking deal breaker had we known. But our biggest complaint is with the quality of the food. If you are a foodie, this is not the place for you. The buffet, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, had limited selection and suffered from everything being overcooked with just a few exceptions. The themed buffet dinners, e.g. Mexican, Caribbean, Italian, were uninspired. The hamburger and club sandwich from room service were among the few edible items on that menu. The steak restaurant Blaze, Mexican, Italian and Asian restaurants were a bit better quality than the buffet but each of these restaurants only deserves three-stars at best. If you want lobster, I was told it would cost an additional $50 USD. We think this resort could be an A to A+ if it took a long, hard look at its food service and made some serious improvements. For now, it's a great resort to select if you want to stick to a diet and not be tempted by the food.

I did enjoy the resort. The elevators were very slow and the rooms were great. The food was excellent. Dining at the Blaze was awesome. Oscer was our waiter and his was the best. Very attentive and so nice.

From the hotel room, grounds and the wonderful people, we had an amazing time. The beach was private where drinks were served all day. The Breeze Restaurant was by far the best restaurant on the resort, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner by the oceon. The malacon is a five minute cab ride costing only 70 pesos, which is a must see.. Can't wait too return..

Was the best "all inclusive" ever The employees made you feel special, and the food was beyond my expectations! Will definitely go back to this resort. At no time did it feel unsafe, and no wristbands was another bonus. The rooms were very spacious.

Nice resort, I would go back but like anything there are pros and cons Rooms - nice decor, clean, typical size, comfortable bed, (if you have a room with a view) absolutely gorgeous views, beautiful sunsets, at night, a romantic moon lite ocean, Service - average, staff are polite and helpful but at the same time very lacking in the concerns of the guest, construction noise, jack hammering all week in the room across the hall, the bar fridge was only stocked 3 of 7 days which means no water to drink in your room, Food - adequate, the quality of food in my very well traveled opinion is that, it is below average for an all inclusive, one exception, on one night they put on a Mexican Fiesta and it was very good, the buffet was enclosed so no birds pecking at the food but still has flies flying around and landing on the food, two of the 4 restaurants are situated on the beach and have a beautiful ambience, some restaurants are closed on some nights. Resort Size - Small, not more than a 5 minutes walk to get anywhere in the resort, Location - Fantastic, isolated between two rock cliffs you have a very private beach yet, is only a 10 minute bus ride to Puerto Vallarta, Beach - Fabulous, Small surf, (obviously weather dependent) very little undertow, great for swimming, the beach has about a 20 foot shelf so you can walk out past the surf and be at a depth of only 5 to 6 feet, not a good beach for small children or non swimmers, water was clear 7 of 8 days, Pools - to small and impractical, beautiful to look at, but had very limited seating and were very crowded because there just isn't enough room Bars - are adequate, they could really use some live music Private functions, 5 of 7 night there were private functions which makes this resort even smaller because you can not use the facilities were the private functions are being held

We booked Hyatt Ziva, Puerto Varartta. We were there for 10 days and would go back tomorrow. The resort was fantastic. The water was clear and blue and the beach was private. The staff were so kind. We went to town 5 times and felt very safe and never pressured to buy from the vendors. We took the city bus to Boca and hiked to Oceam Grill restaurant. It's a beautiful place. What we enjoyed the best was that the hotel has a turtle program. They dig up turtle eggs on the beach and bury them in a safe area and keep them till they hatch and release them at dusk. Great memories and would not hesitate to book through trip central.

The hotel is on the best beach in PV, the views are exceptional and the water was amazing. The food was a 7/10, not enough variety in my opinion. Service was pretty good, not a 5 star. Once concern is they did not run their beach/pool cups thru the dishwasher, they use a chemical dip. Not a fan of thi, bought my own cup to use. The hotel is old with some updated elements, however the views from room are a 10/10.

The overall resort was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pools were clean but most of the time you had to reserve your spot in the morning. The food was really good and they always had an event for each night. Very entertaining!

Chic, contemporary hotel in beautiful Conchas Chinas bay - oceanview with western exposure - magnificent sunsets and Sierra Mountain views. Quiet, private beach - pools, hot tubs, excellent amenities including a well-equipped gym and classes with access to personal trainer, spa, daily recreational activities for all interests. Amazing food variety and venues - no reservations required! Staff and service is so professional and attentive - felt welcome and appreciated. Relaxed non-pretentious atmosphere. Professional nightly entertainment. Kids program available. Very close to old town - easily accessible by local bus or taxi. Secure, gated property. Had an amazing time and would definitely consider this location in future.

We had an wonderful time at the Hyatt Ziva. We stayed there May 1st to 8th, but wish we could have stayed longer! The hotel and grounds are beautiful! All the rooms have a spectacular ocean view, they are very nice and comfortable. The food was great, loved the restaurant choices. All the staff was very friendly and caring, the front desk, the servers, cooks, hostesses, housekeepers, lifeguards, pool staff...everyone was so nice. Loved the beach and the pools. They had a special event every night we were there. One of the nights they had a mexican night right on the beach, with a beautiful buffet dinner and entertainment. I would highly recommed this hotel. It is located just 10 -15 minutes from the Malecon in Puerto Vallarta, but it is so much nicer than staying right in town, and the beach is private :-) We'll definitely be back!

What an amazing time at the lovely Hyatt Ziva. We arrived and received a hot towel and tropical drink. All of the staff were so kind, welcoming and helpful! There were not any language barriers which may cause some issues at other places. The room was wonderful and had the most amazing ocean view!! Did not require a balcony since the doors slide open and a nice ocean breeze comes in. It was so nice to hear the ocean waves crash at night and wake up to the sounds in the morning. We ate breakfast at the buffet everyday. They have great variety. I would recommend to go a little earlier in order to avoid the fresh egg lineup! We ate at Blaze for both lunch and dinner and both were really great. Had dinner at the Casa Grande, it was delicious, ordered the beef filet. I am not sure why people have gone to this restaurant and come out disappointed! Awesome margarita there too! Managed to have lunch and dinner at the Italian restaurant and also had dinner at the Asian restaurant twice! All of the food was simply incredible you will not be disappointed. I wish I had the time to eat everything off of all of their menus. We even ordered room service a few times and was so impressed with the quality of food. Spent a lot of time in the sports bar playing pool. They have a snack menu and the chips and guac were delicious! The bartender there was so great! We never had an empty glass! Wish I had gotten his name to mention here. Same with the waiter at the Asian restaurant the last night we were there, he was super awesome, next time I will remember names! Kayaking was such a great experience as well. I didn't notice a lot of the marine life when just playing in the waves. There were a lot of families there when we went, don't know if this is a regular occurrence or not but it wasn't really that bothersome, just didn't expect there to be as many kids as there was. I miss it already and hope to return in a year or two to try out more of the food!

We spent an amazing week at the Hyatt Ziva April 17 to 24. The setting is beautiful with manicured grounds on a large private cove beach. All of the facilities are top notch and meticulously maintained by friendly and helpful staff. We hope to return with our adult children next year!

Wow.... the staff goes the extra mile to make our trip....Wonderful Thanks guys! It was our Anniversary and the room was decorated with hearts and flower petals all over the place along with a wonderful letter of Congrats from the Management along with cake & fruit.. We spend most of our time on the beach, and this beach is the Top beach in PVR. Migel & Christian made sure we were always topped up...and the food at the Thai restaurant served by Juan was out of this World. As well, Ezequiel,Ivan & Andres looked after us and were so much fun during breakfast and dinner at the Blaze. Never had a bad meal anywhere. Only concern was at the Mexican restaurant, the portions were so BIG....lol .... how do the Mexican's all stay so slim . Pizza was always hot and tasty yum. You gotta try the Hot Rock Massage as well as the Fish that clean your feet....lol. Will be heading back again for sure!

We loved this resort! It was the best one that we had ever been to. The staff are amazing. The grounds are beautiful. The food was delicious and the drinks were always enjoyed. The entertainment was fun to watch especially the nights where we ate supper on the beach and watched the dancers on the stage. It was our first time and sadly our last time to Dreams now that the hotel is changing names and getting remodelled. I loved this place!!!!
