My wife and I have been to Mexico for 17 trips in total to a wide variety of areas, resort could use a freshening up but food was good, rooms were decent, mini bar was stocked, bed was hard as a rock LOL. Pools and grounds were kept in great shape, and the layout with respect to the beach was ideal. Beach is beautiful and we watched whales almost everyday. Good bars, name brand alcohol, superbowl party was awesome.

The Grand Palladium is a wonderful resort. Very clean, staff are exceptional and the food at the buffet was very good. It wasn't overly busy which was good. My daughter loved the teen club and looked forward to spending time there with friends. It was the perfect family vacation.

This was our second stay at this resort. The grounds are beautiful, well maintained and clean. We spent the majority of our time at the adults only pool which is an infinity pool with an incredible view of the ocean. The main pool has all types of fun things for kids to splash around in, as well there is a handy snack bar and pool bar. The food is one of the reasons we made a return visit. The buffet has a huge variety and each of the al a cartes are fantastic. They have a kids program in the mornings, kids entertainment at 8pm, family friendly entertainment and more later in the evening for the night owl party crowd. If you choose this resort, I highly recommend a relaxing massage at the spa.

Great food at buffet. Good entertainment. Fantastic grounds and beach. Lots and lots of stairs. Lots of hills. Not enough beach lounge chairs. Average food at restaurants. Lovely spa. Not cheap. Greenery on grounds - beautiful.

This was my 3rd stay at GP in PV. Upon arrival, we had to haul our bags to the desk, and then were told we had to share a bed because it was "full" so they wouldn't accommodate our request of 2 beds. (2 mature females) unless we would pay another $400CAD to upgrade-even though our travel agent said we would definitely get 2 beds- that is the ONLY reason we chose this resort and not one in town! Then, I guess because I'd been there before, we had to navigate & bring our own suitcases and bags to the room. My cousin is almost 70 and has bad knees, so this was NOT inviting. After 3 days of not the greatest sleep, I didn't tell my cousin, but I paid hundreds of dollars to downgrade our room just so we could get 2 beds. They used to have a zoo- it is no longer there (disappointing). The coffee that used to be great is very hit and miss whether their new machines work, and the carafe is gross coffee. The membership pitch I did (just for the palladium dollars to use at the spa) the guy was sick and kept wiping his nose and picking it the entire time. It was disgusting. the food is very good, the adult pool is nice but very warm (main pool is freezing!), most the staff is great- a few ignored us no matter how long we waited in line if there was locals they would prefer to serve. The walkway is VERY slippery and was often wet because the sprinklers were broken or pointed the wrong way. It is beautiful resort if this is your first trip and wanting to be far away from the city. All in all, not as memorable as the last 2 times I was there, and personally I would not return. It was outrageous I had to pay hundreds to get a 2nd bed that we were already promised we paid thousands for to begin with. Money talks. Even if they're 'full'.

Would not recommend for people with knee/walking problems as there are too many stairs going up and down. Stuff was very polite and friendly, pool areas were clean. Restaurants were nice, buffet had a variety of food to choose from.

You need to do as much research as possible when you are spending a lot of dollars on a trip. We found that we were sort of held captive in the resort because the taxi fares from the hotel were inflated by a insane amount. We did not know exactly how far this resort was from the town of Puerto Vallarta or how much Taxis would cost on this coast. well they are incredibly expensive. Compared to other places I have traveled in Mexico they were four times as much and the number of passengers raised the price. At least that is what the hotel told us when we asked at the desk. The other research to do is ask about the condition of the beach.. The one at this resort was some sand and rocks that were real foot and ankle scrapers.. The waves were high and not pleasant for youngsters below 8 years old.. Its really a surfing beach. The Hotel staff were really great and the food was very good although you needed to make a reservation for most of the restaurants between 9am and 11am if you wanted a seat in most of them. The ones without reservations were very good buffet style places.

The resort is absolutely beautiful. Very tropical looking. Kept very clean. However, although the staff works very hard, there is very little friendliness. Nobody was rude, just not friendly. There were a few exceptions, but in general we made no new friends on this trip. Also, the food tastes pretty good, but extremely repetitive, and not hot. Even though it's all in hot plate dishes, it was room temp most of the time. It's also an open air buffet, and most of the dishes were not covered, so flies all over the food. Animation team worked very hard, but not enough of them. Maybe 5 of them for 2 pools and the beach. We hung out at the activity pool and didn't see them until 3 or 4 pm. Very boring. As beautiful as the resort was, and has so much potential, we would not book here again.

This is the 2nd Grand Palladium I have been to (Mayan was the other-MUCH bigger but the seaweed beach was icky!). Once you have a day to get situated with the grounds, it is quite easy to navigate the huge property because everything is spaced thoughtfully with many paths and walkways (mobility issues could be a problem, but you should know this already when booking) to get where you need to go. The property is kept immaculately clean! I appreciated looking around and not seeing any trace of the nonsense we've been dealing with for the past few years. It was perfectly 'normal' and for someone that was 'not allowed' to travel out of her country (or within for that matter) for 3years, I welcomed not seeing sanitizer/masks/signs/arrows at every turn. We were even able to serve ourselves at the buffet-it was GREAT! Which brings me to the food! Amaaaaaazzzzzing! There are many restaurants to choose from, and unlike other resorts, you could book one every night if you'd like (through the concierge or the app), but honestly, you would not be missing out if you just did the buffet-which is open late as well! (men need to wear shirts that cover their armpits-and they do strictly adhere to that policy which is appreciated! Other than that, you don't need collared shirts or dress shoes which is nice to not have to pack!). Mexican- La Adelita- was my favorite. It also had breathtaking views especially if you are able to book around sunset! Italian-Portofino- I heard many people were disappointed, but I had the Sea Bass and it was delicious! Bamboo- Asian- everyone I talked to said this was their favorite. (I don't really care for sushi but enjoyed the Asian buffet day!) International- Las Terrazas- one of the best (tasters) of french onion soup I've had! The Nest- you need to be in family selection to book this restaurant (or talk to Isis in conceirge) The pools: Adult infinity: is heated and has a look over ledge where I got to see whales jump every single day! It is not too busy, has a bar and you can usually get a lounger if you go down by 9am. (I was visiting at spring break) The main pool: this is where the swim up bar is. Didn't seem overly busy, the music is a bit too loud, the aquasize at 12pm was fun every day! (this is also where the app says most the main activities are, yet I never was able to find them, which was disappointing. I tried for yoga, stretching, healthy drink classes, eco tour- and I never found anyone in 10 days that knew what I was talking about even though the app listed it as an activity daily. That was unfortunate.) Kid pool: off the main pool with slides and sprinklers, as well the family selection has its own pool for kids too! The ocean :) Rolling waves, warm salty water, all the free water activities you could think of (surf, boogie board, paddle board, kayak, catamaran etc). There's also an area rocked off to avoid the waves and be able to wade with the little fishes that gets high tide and low tide and is great for the kids or people with mobility issues that don't want to play in the waves! The spa: Hydrotherapy is a must before getting a massage! It is a small circuit with different pressured waterfalls, hot sauna, hot tub and freezing cold plunge to get your muscles ready to relax! Highly recommend! (there are huts on the beach for massage as well, but I would pay a little extra for this experience!) All the staff is friendly and will do what they can to accommodate. The night shows are pretty decent (8pm for kids and 9pm for the main show). All evening noise shuts down between 11pm-12 which is really nice for those that appreciate their sleep and not hearing pounding music into the middle of the night! It was nice to have access bracelets to the room without having to carry around key cards! The only cons: Because this resort is so far from PV, if you are booking excursions, be aware you will be paying EXTRA for a cab to get there! I have never been to an all incl where you had to pay travel on top of your already costly excursions. It is at minimum 500pesos (for CAD that cost me $40 ONE WAY) to get to the tours.( There are buses a short walk from the resort, but I was recommended to not take them solo going to the places I needed to be on a time restriction because they said it can be tricky with transfers if you don't know. That being said, if you know the area better and have the time, the bus is definitely the cheaper way to go!) I traveled with WestJet. The hotel rep Epi was not as helpful as the other reps. He was only there for an hour and a half in the mornings. He did not explain the cost of cabs on top of the excursion until after I already booked the tours! He never did answer my emails with inquiries (since he was hardly ever at the desk). The only thing he did at the 'welcome meeting' was give me my ticket for transfer back to airport- no tour of the grounds or even explain what excursions they offered-I had to figure that all out for myself. (not GP problem, just making note) *Not impresssed with Concierge at the stairs: When it was time for me to leave, I had to checkout early so had them store my bags. I was over an hour early to wait for the bus. I told the guys I was waiting for WestJet. I sat right in front of them on the couch for my transfer that was at 2:!5pm. At 2:25pm I got up and asked if the bus usually arrives lates. They informed me the bus was already there! What?! I was sitting right there the whole time! Why wouldn't they tell me? They said I had to take a cab. I asked to speak to their manager. They said no, it wasn't their fault. They asked the bus how many it was picking up and he said 7, not 8, so I wasn't on the list. ..I am pretty sure he made that up! I again kindly asked for a manager because I felt they should pay my fare and again I was denied. They said I could pay for it and deal with WestJet at the airport for reimbursement. I got them to call a cab and asked for a receipt. They said they don't do receipts. (so of course, WestJet didn't care for my story). So I had to pay 600pesos (nearly $50CAD) to go to the airport that I already paid for with my travel package. I was very disappointed in the way my trip ended. I have never missed a shuttle in my life and I have never not been told that my shuttle was there by the guys at the front. (there were at least 5 of them that watched me sit there and wait!). Do NOT rely on these guys to help you out. (they ironically are the same ones that told me not to take the bus which I would normally attempt to save money - so I am not sure but maybe they make commission from the cab drivers?) All the rest of the staff was amazing! All in all- this was a much needed rest type get away for myself. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend for family or for solo trips, it's perfect as long as you are ok with walking/hiking/peace and good food :) In fact...I liked it soooo much, I am booking to go back next month and take a friend! Thanks Grand Palladium!

This will be our 6th time visiting. They hotel has made some really great improvements in terms of getting their hotel updated. I'm happy there's no smoking on the resort as it was a problem back then. Staff is always friendly and hardworking. I wish they didn't have to push the Paladium Travel Club so much. That was the only drawback, but they do it every time so it wasn't a surprise. I found that most of the agents weren't so pushy this year, so that was nice. Food was a bit lower in quality. Family Club is the way to go

Overall, the resort is just ok. We did a Saturday to Saturday trip and it was too long. We were getting pretty bored by day 4. We chose this resort after staying at the Palladium in Riveria Maya, which is much bigger and better situated. Our room (panoramic ocean view) was clean, but the bathroom shower made a huge puddle on the floor with each use and the jets in the tub were full of mildew. No way I'd take a bath in that tub. As for the view, the tiny balcony has a solid wall so if you sit down, you'd be looking at concrete. The ocean could be seen if you sit up on the edge of the right hand side of the bed. We were overlooking the infinity pool, it's supposed to close at 10:30 but 3 nights there was a lot of partying going on much later. The beach is really nice and there are boogie boards, surfing lessons and boards, mini catamarans and paddle boards to use. The waves are high though, but if you can swim its fine. If you want a shaded chair at the pool or the beach, best to get out there and tag one with a towel before 9 am. The pool is super warm and you can see whales pretty much all day from the pool edge or the beach. Buffet restaurant is not bad, the food is pretty average buffet fare. We were not impressed with the a la carte restaurants at all. The Mexican one was the worst of the 3 we tried, food was bland and salty. Italian was the best, fish was nice and the carbonara was good until I came across a bunch of uncooked egg whites in it which killed my appetite immediately. There is a small store at the resort, my advice is bring some snacks, sunscreen and any OTC meds like Tylenol from the airport or home. They are charging $8 USD for a bag of chips. Sunscreen is $25 USD. Activities were expensive, everything is in USD rather than pesos which is inconvenient unless you are American I guess. I was hoping to get out and explore Sayulita but was told the bus and colectivo are not recommended. Taxi there and back was about 100$ CAD. We did go on a nice sail boat for snorkeling and whale watching which was $300 CAD for 2 people, and it was worth it. Taxi to the marina and back was charged by the amount of people even though it was the same van. 440 pesos for 4 people and 1100 pesos for 8 people on the way back. The staff were all super, cheerful, very nice and helpful throughout the resort.

We booked this resort for two weeks Jan 21/23 to Feb.4th and after the first three days of having to call each day because they didn’t leave us any water coffee or beer and then the fourth day of not being offered any water or coffee at breakfast we figured we had made a big mistake in booking this resort however after going to guest services and explaining our concerns everything was taken care of. This resort does actually care and goes above and beyond to make you stay enjoyable. The food is excellent my favourite is the Asian (the Bamboo) and the Sake Steak. The staff are super friendly and accommodating our favourites were the waitresses at the main pool and the sports bar. Oh speaking of the sports bar the chicken taco salad is both delicious and filling only problem could get hockey games (didn’t upset my wife). A very special Thank You to Salvador Moran it is because of you our memories of the Grand Palladium Vallarta will forever be one of our favourite vacations and the reason we will be returning next year again thank you. Would also like to thank the people at guest services especially Julian Duenas. See you all next year

If you like fantastic views, great service, friendly people this resort is for you. Dancing at the pool, whale watching great weather you couldn't ask for more. The specialty restaurants were the best. Shout out to Salvadore. You have to try the Bamboo. Would highly recommend.

Could not have asked for better. Daniel our waiter for a few different dinners was beyond amazing and our server at the pool bar whose name escapes me, made our time at the pool fun and entertaining. A special shout out to Salvador, Restaurant Manager for going above and beyond. You are an amazing man. Thank you We will be back

The resort is somewhat dated, however the rooms are very clean ,looked after daily staff is very pleasant in dinning room or the four restaurants. The beach is clean with plenty of launches. On the top of a cliff is a round pool with heated water where you can observe vhales almost daily from.[at no cost to you]

We have been to this resort 10 plus times and have enjoyed the overall experience as always. This year we noticed some issues, although minor, are not being looked after. We were in building #2 and found that in each staircase on several floors the lights were burnt out. This creates a safety concern when walking down a lighted hallway then entering a dark staircase where you cannot see the steps properly. The beach staff were very friendly but are now faced with worn out equipment such as boogie boards which seem well used and abused. They could probably buy at least another 12 boards and find that they would be used by guests on a daily basis, making it a better experience for those guests choosing to enjoy the beach facilities. Surfing is also very popular at this resort, but there does not seem to be enough surf boards available for those enthusiasts. A water hose tap at the beach activities center would not turn off properly, sometimes running for long periods continuously despite the fact that staff had requested a repair to the tap multiple times. We ate in the buffet for most of our meals at the resort. I found that many items were plentiful and food was abundant. I also found that many of the trays holding supposedly hot food were not able to keep the food hot. Many of our meals were cold. My partner actually got shocked when touching one of the food warming trays and I requested my food to be reheated on the grill multiple times. Staff was always friendly, so there must be a communications issue where staff are afraid to report issues as found. Management should want to get opinions from staff members more frequently. I know these items are minor and overall we still enjoy this resort for beach activities, weather and remoteness from downtown Puerto Vallarta.

This resort is located a little further north of Puerta Vallarta but it is worth it for the peace and quiet. Our rooms were spacious and while a little outdated, in good condition. We had a couple of issues with the safe and toilet which was rectified easily. The grounds are very well maintained and the staff are all friendly and helpful! The timeshare sales people were persistent for the first day and then left us alone for the rest of the stay. The beach area and adult pool are lovely. It was amazing to watch humpback whales in Banderas Bay from the resort. We saw them almost every day. The a la carte restaurants were easy to book and the Italian restaurant Portofino was our favourite.

The Hotel staff are friendly, hotel is 45mins to an hour away from Airport roads are bumpy / very bad , hotel very rundown and weathered showing its age, broken steps exposed rebar ,in buildings very poor lighting in hotel hallways and rooms, furniture is chipped and weathered no dressers in room only open shelves menu is mostly Mexican, for fish lovers great, they are very agressive on pushing Travel Plus program( Time Shares) Beach is small very rocky swim shoes required, no night adult entertainment, what is offered as entertainment is rather a joke hotel very geared towards kinds. Air Canada rep very poor not informative or very present. Rating Grand Palladium Vallarta does not represent the other of this chain we were very dissatisfied with hotel considering the price paid and expected much more of a 4 star resort

Feeling like this resort is suffering from Covid cutbacks. The resort is nicely spread over a lot of area, with nice amenities available and a variety of restaurants and buffet to choose from. The beach was lovely. The resort only has three floors with 2-4 buildings and all open hallways. In the middle of the resort is a small and shocking 'zoo'. Time to do away with this. It was really appalling conditions. Rooms: Our first room - an oceanfront room- had an amazing view, but overlooked the 'quiet pool'. This was the adult pool with the bar and thumping bass music until 12 am every night. Even with the doors closed and headphones / TV on, you could still hear the music for the entertainment of the 5 or so guests. The first room was also not thoroughly cleaned with traces of mold on the shower door. We changed our room the next day to another with less view but much quieter ( of course no discount was offered to change from an ocean front). The front desk attitude was not very accomodating - they couldn't see why I didn't want the noise disturbing us until 'only 12". The second room was much cleaner, and quieter. Food: Not a fan of buffets, esp. during Covid. YOu have to use their app or line up everyday at 9:30 am to book a restaurant if you didn't just want to walk into the buffet. The food at the buffet ranged from fine to good. Very clean and strict protocols in place for food handling safety. We tried most of the other restaurants and they were all good portions, fresh and good, although sometimes not overly hot. A highlight was the Mexican restaurant with a lovely patio overlooking the ocean. A server came tableside to create custom guacamole which was fun. Not all wines listed by the glass were available. One night on the way to dinner my son slipped and hurt his foot. So we had to return to our room to stay in and order room service as he couldn't walk. There is a $15 per person delivery fee for this. Incredible. Lunch was either the buffett a walk away from the beach and pool or there was a disappointing BBQ beachside that offered burgers and hotdogs daily, and a few times nacho chips and ceviche. So no variety, no added extras like fresh fruit, or a change in menu. A real lack of opportunity to improve the food offerings. No snacks provided beachside or at the pool - only the bar. Drinks- there was a real lack of healthy options. If you wanted a 'smoothie' it was the highly sweetened drink mix offered blended. Given the amazing amount of fresh fruit at the buffet - it would be nice if they could offer a better selection of healthier drinks, esp. since the resort is really marketed to families vs. singles. Beach - There was a real lack of loungers on the beach. Plenty of room for more - and of course there was no monitoring of those who tagged chairs with towels at 8 am not showing up until 11 am - so with limited chairs and many broken - it was very frustrating. There were some boogie boards, kayaks, and a catamaran, but they could offer some scheduled kayak outings etc. There were daily activities including some yoga, and pool fitness classes that were well attended, and nightly shows for the kids and adults. Staff; Very mixed. Some were lovely- the concierges and the bar staff, but front desk staff - not so much. The attitude I received when I complained about the noise was not understandable at all, and there was clearly free rooms as the resort was only 60%. Overall I would rate the resort closer to 3.5 stars. There is plenty of room for improvement and the grounds and rooms were relatively clean and not too out of date. It is clearly showing its age and perhaps need for more investment. Clearly Covid has had an understandable impact on them and i hope they recover soon and are able to put a little bit more back into the resort to have it really meet its potential.

We stayed March 9 - 16 , 2022. My 14 yo son and I. Negatives were that my room key kept having to be reprogrammed (6 times!), the buffet and restaurant selection was a bit bigger in previous times ( this was my 3rd stay in 14 years). Oddly, the bacon in the breakfast buffet was super super salty, so much that I thought it was a tactic so they wouldn't go through so much. Positives far outweigh the negatives, its a beautiful resort , very friend staff, high quality theatres at night (big shout out to Michael Jackson show and Lossana!!), great beach, ice cold beer and great service! The resort is just the right size, not too big and not too small, far enough out of town but not too far, I'll be back for sure.

My husband & some other family really wanted to take a trip to Mexico despite Covid still lingering around. We have been to different resorts in Mexico before- all have been fairly good. I decided to book at the Grand Palladium seeing it had fairly good reviews & it came at a moderate price for us as a group. I have absolutely no regrets. It is a beautiful resort. I love that it is spread out and there are many spaces to explore. I enjoyed visiting the animals that they have at the resort. One thing that really stuck out to me was how immaculate the resort is. Wow! Super clean!! Staff were always in attendance doing everything they can to make our vacation a wonderful experience.

If you have kids over 1 year old, there's free daytime daycare available. Restaurants are amazing. Service is outstanding. Highly recommended this resort. 5/5 Star. Don't forget to try the Cinnabon rolls for breakfast.

Entrance - appealing. Arrival and departure excellent- efficient and friendly. Helpful. Grounds- beautifully kept. Has an animal sanctuary- fun to walk by and watch the animals. Kept clean. Bars- all friendly service fairly fast. Sports bar was a great place to get snacks in between meals. Main buffet- lots of variety to choose from. Tastey. One thing i would like to see would be a change of menu once in a while. It got a bit boring by the 3rd day. Same same same. Still tastey though. Enough choices. Meat a little over done. Rooms. Comfortable. Right temperature. No drawers but lots of hangers. No charge for room service. Food came quickly though it said 45 min approx. Usually within 15-20 minutes. All staff were friendly and helpful. Pool fitness was fun on the bikes. Other things such as water volleyball, water polo if interested. Spanish or dance lessons if wanted. Pool chairs are comfortable enogh. Pool service is great but not long waits at the bar. Did not try any specialty restaurant. Distance to downtown is far- over an hour by bus. Bucerias about 40 min. Suggestion is go early and return early then busses are not full. About 36 pesos to Bucerias by bus. You can catch a little van transp and they charge similar. I'd take one of those if it were busy rather than the bus as you have a seat to sit on. They are fairly full after lunch til dinner. Beach is nice. Watercwas warm. Nice walks along the beach. Not a lot of shells. Entertainment - first for kids then adults. It was short, fun, cirque style and after they had music to dance to. That too was entertaining- got people up and dancing. Had a couple of dhows with it - very enjoyable. Overall a wonderful experience- just expect the food to be tastey but repetetive. Overall a wonderful getaway

The Grand Paladium resort, as always, was lovely. Grounds are clean and pleasant to stroll around. The staff is so very kind and accommodating, the reason we keep going back to Mexico. We have visited this particular resort 3 times now. Next year we will venture on to a different one.

It was a nice hotel. It is really spread out, so lots of walking and lots of stairs. The food was good, drinks were also good. The staff was friendly. My biggest complaint would be the lack of lounges by the pools and the beach which could easily be solved by bringing out more. Lots of room for more. Security actually was timing how long you were gone from your lounge.

Good resort with great staff. Lots of stairs and great weather. You can see whales from the beach, if your lucky. The resort is spread out but not too far from all the pools, restaurants and beaches. I would recommend this resort for able bodied travellers

This resort is totally amazing. Very clean and spacious rooms. Excellent food and amazing beach. Pools were heated and fabulous. Lots of lounge chairs with shade. The shows were okay. The staff were super friendly and always there to help. I highly recommend this resort to anyone who is looking for a relaxing getaway.

Our room was quiet and spotless. Would have been nice to have a bigger balcony but we do prefer top floor so we’re willing to give up having 2 of us sitting out on balcony. The grounds were well kept and the restaurants along with the washrooms were very clean. One day when we were there, a restaurant we were eating in was being inspected. Good to see. The staff at this resort were amazing...always smiling. Made you feel like family. Lots of walking/ stairs but we already knew that. Nice to have a choice of pools all with waiter service. Found that there was a distinct smell on bathing suit from main pool so we always rinsed at showers. A big shout out to Victor at main pool, Yesica & Antonio at theatre bar, Antonio at Mexican restaurant and Luciano at El Doraldo. Can’t say enough about Victor(pool bar), Yesica and Antonia(theatre bar). Very special people!

We love this place. Everything from people,beach, surf, food, service and layout was amazing! There is something for everyone and if you would rather just rest..I cannot imagine a better place for that as well.

Hello, We stayed in room 1159 for two weeks, checking out January 23rd. The cost to us was over $5,000 for the WestJet vacation. The following will offer both positive & critical opinions. Positive Comments: The strongest ambassadors the resort has is the staff. They are fabulous, in the restaurants, bars, maids & even your maintenance staff. The facilities are also very good. There is a great sandy beach area too. The salt water pool allows one to be in the ocean without a strong surf. Critical Comments: Our experience with both check in and check out was poor and upsetting. The up sell pressure after a long day of travel is not appreciated. While checking out, I was accused of not paying a charge for a beer in Bambu. Not true as I had paid cash the previous evening to a male staff member. Unfortunately, they have either a thief or an incompetent person in that role. The food quality overall was inconsistent from day to day. Also, the question of guests being able to make a reservation at an al a carte restaurant is a huge problem. Those few who can make a reservation walk past those who cannot, which is the bulk of the guests. This creates bad feelings and a sense of a two tier level of guests. There is an issue at the adult pool with guests reserving their lounges with towels and then leaving them for hours or most of the day. However, your security staff began removing the guests stuff after 30 minutes. That too, is unfair. Just getting lunch takes longer than 30 minutes, for example. We met a couple who had $250 US stolen from their safe. That is troubling as they have some thieves employed. Too bad, as the majority of the staff is super friendly and helpful. My husband and I found the resort very clean, staff was very friendly and always ready to help if you needed anything. Food was good. The only thing that needs improvement is to let people know that the resort is on a cliff and that there are lots of steps.

Grounds are absolutely beautiful! Perfect size for us. Rooms could use a bit of TLC. That’s my only complaint. Steak house is amazing and all the staff went above and beyond. It was decorated beautifully for Christmas. We had a great time.

We had a good experience with our family at the Grand Palladium Vallarta. The weather in early December was amazing and we really enjoyed the pools and beach. However the service side needs some improvement, including the front desk organization (i.e. wrong rooms being assigned, extra charges added, etc.) Eventually all were sorted out but it required too much follow up from the visitors to get accomplished. The table service in the buffet was also a bit lacking - i.e. it was really hard to get a coffee in the morning.

We normally travel as a foursome, and generally try to pick a reasonably priced 3 to 4 star resort. We felt a little excited about the Grand Palladium Vallarta, because it's normally not in our price range. When we arrived at the resort we were welcomed with a nice refreshing minty drink. I was struck by how beautiful and spacious the lobby was. Check in was very quick and easy, and the concierge was very informative. The grounds are very nicely landscaped and full of wildlife. We saw iguanas, skunks, birds, lizards and even a bunny from our balcony. There are a lot of stairs in this resort, but there are also pathways. The pathways may take a little more of a circuitous route but would be good for anyone who has reduced mobility. I would not recommend this resort for anyone who is mobility impaired. We tried the activities pool on the first day. On our second day at the resort I spent about 20 minutes blowing up my floating lounger, and then I was informed there were no pool floaties allowed in any of the pools. I was very disappointed that this had not been addressed in any of the reviews I read about this resort. I love my floating chair to keep cool and get a tan! We later learned they don't allow the floaties because of a space issue, which was fine, I just wish I had known before wasting that space in my suitcase. We switched to the Adult pool on the second day and just kept going back to that one. It was so nice to cool down in the pool, and have some nice conversation with other guests. It was especially nice not to have children around. I did note that the adult pool is not cleaned very well. We advised the server at the pool that the pool needed to be skimmed, but nobody ever came in the 5 hours we were at the pool that day. Both my sister and I ruined a bathing suit each from leaning against the infinity side of the pool. There was algae on the wall that stained our suits a nasty yellowish green colour. It did not end up washing out. The rooms were very nice. The bed was OK. The counterspace and lighting in the bathroom could use improvement. The balcony only fit a chair and a small side table. It was comfortable for 1 person, but not 2. I loved that the resort had weddings every day that we were there. Our room overlooked the beach space where weddings happened. It was lovely to watch every night. We were unsure how to access the beach with weddings going on, so we never got to enjoy an evening walk on the beach. The buffet was the best we've ever had at a resort. We love Mexican food, and they had it every meal. My partner is especially fond of tamales, which he had for breakfast, lunch and dinner when we didn't go to the a la cartes (even sometimes when we did go to the a la carte). The A la Carte restaurants were mostly fine. At the steakhouse the meat was not prepared correctly. I ordered medium and got rare, my partner ordered "Very" well done and got medium, so it worked out for me! We tried the Steakhouse, the Asian, and the Mexican. I did not like the Mexican other than the guacamole. You're better off with the buffet for good Mexican dishes. All in all we had a wonderful time at the resort and would definitely consider going back again.

Absolutely love this resort and will be back! The staff are so friendly and attentive, everything is spotless and the kids had a great time! The buffet has a great selection that changes each meal, and never a very long wait at anything.

This was my very first vacation. I enjoyed the time and appreciate the friendliness of all staff. My husband passed away three months ago and I needed time to heal. The staff was very professional. Kind, friendly but In the same time leave you private space when someone need quiet time. I appreciate that. I will for sure return.

Too many weddings I.e every night loud music blasting all night. Ala carte restaurants did not accept reservations resulting in long wait times. Staff were pleasant and polite. Rooms were clean but dated.

This resort answered all the needs for any member of the family from little ones to the aging gracefully ones - there was amenities and locations suited for everyone! Sun Surf and Sand! We are and will be repeat guests!

The layout and location were great for the kids. The water slide area and pools were excellent. The free access to surf boards, boogie boards and kids beach toys was an added bonus. The food was mediocre at best and there was not a buffet that was opened throughout the day, so snacks for the children between meals was difficult. Half the staff were friendly but much of the staff at the resort were surprisingly grumpy. Many guests were upset that Palladium members were allowed to book reservations at the Al a Carte restaurants but non members could not. For my next trip I will spend the extra cash and go to a Dreams/Secrets again.

This was our first visit to GP Vallarta and we want to return there again :) Food - great, tasty, fresh, wide selection. Burgers on the beach for lunch or dinner at El Dorado - everything was awesome. Mexican restaurant was our top pick. Compliments to the chef and the team of servers. Very nice and relaxing atmosphere. Kevin "Costner" is awesome :) Buffet - 10 out of 10! The lady making pizzas is fantastic cook. I can go on and on about it but you must try it yourself :) Service - dinner, lunch, breakfast or wedding on the beach - Nelida is there to help out anyone. Antonio at the buffet will go an extra mile to provide the best service and make you a little rose. Antonio at the pool bar is the true leader and awesome bartender. Gracias to Mary for keeping our room nice an clean. Accommodation porter (don't know his name) was such a great guy. Always with a smile and a song :) Night shows - amazing, those dancers must have endless pool of energy. But the true STAR is Yesica! Service with the smile every night! :) Activities - non stop action. There's so much to do for everyone. Spa, pools, bar's, beach, tennis, football etc. There's always something happening and everyone is welcome to join in. Try archery with Ali. And follow his instructions :) One last reminder. When packing your sunscreen and swimsuits - don't forget to bring some respect with you. Front desk, service staff, guy blowing leaves or a lady mopping walkways - everyone is working hard to make your stay as pleasant as possible and they deserve utmost respect.

Nice hotel with a surf break right off the beach. Friendly staff go out of their way to make sure you are looked after. The beach crew, Eder and Jimmy are most helpful with surf tips and lessons. This was our 3rd trip

The hotel was beautiful. All areas were kept very clean. We stayed in a deluxe room with 2 adults and a 6 year old. There were a lot of stairs as the resort is on a cliff but I believe they also had ramp access to most areas. I definitely got my steps in. The bars were good. Sometimes you had to wait a bit for a drink, just depended how busy they were. I wished I had brought an insulated bigger cup and would next time. The cups are small in the pool area and seem to be a magnet for a 6 year old splashing pool water. The pools were great, well maintained, got quite busy mid day. Our son liked the kids area with water slides. The adult pool was quieter and was a nice break, also breathtaking as it is an infinity pool over the ocean . Our son loved the kids club. So that was a bonus in giving us, the parents a break. The buffet was really good I thought and we ate there the whole time. My only negatives would be I wish the bed and pillows were more comfy- that is the minor one. My major issue was access to bottled water. I drink a lot of water and my body is used to that. In our mini bar we would get 4-6 600ml bottles of water each day. That is for 3 people. I found myself strategizing to get enough, drinking as much as I could at meal times. Likely my downfall was drinking alcohol at the pool all afternoon then being very thirsty once back in my room. You can order water at all the bars but it is usually a bit of a wait and the little cups again. We tried to tip and request extra water bottles, but didn’t seem to get far with our limited Spanish. If we return, I would actually check a bag on the plane with just water bottles. But as I said I drink a lot of water and this likely wouldn’t be an issue for everyone Oh yeah, and the lattes in the Hemingway bar in the morning are delicious!

Hotel was good! We got upgraded to family selection for a good price. Pool service at the private pool area in family selection could have been better! Loved the bar at the family selection. Bartender Arturo was awesome and made incredible drinks for us!

This was our 4th time at this resort. We like it a lot and haven't had many problems.....until this time. We booked over 3 months ago, upon arrival, they indicated that they did not have any rooms with twin beds and that was "at the resorts discretion" and they were at 94% capacity. If we wanted twin beds we would have to pay the $210 USD upgrade. Well they were at 94% capacity because they had closed one of the three buildings and I'm pretty sure they could have converted a queen bed room to two twins since we had booked 3 months in advance. So I looked at this as a blatant way of making you pay for a room upgrade. I indicated great displeasure and indicated I would complain on social media and cost them a lot more than the $210. They said "go for it".

Lots of stairs , not a resort if you have mobility issues. Brand name liquor at all bars, food was wonderful at the steak house and Japanese restaurant, buffet was average. You should check if your package includes reservation for the specialty restaurants, you can go and ask if the have room and you may have to wait. Entertainment was pretty good, and it was nice to see that the children could preform before the main show. Rooms were a great size , balcony was really small. Grounds could have some work done around the rooms and pool area.

The hotel rooms were great. Some rooms did not have a great view, i.e., back of kitchen hut, but staff was very accommodating to switch us to better room with an amazing ocean view. Poolside bars were hit an miss with making good drinks. Some bar tenders just rushed making the drink and were poured all over the glass making it very sticky and the quality of taste of same drink varied bartender to bartender. Food in buffet was good and lots of variety. The evening entertainment was top notch. Kids pool had 4 water slides and great life guards they helped kids. It was fairly easy to find a place to sit pool side as security guards removed towels of people who claimed many chairs too early. Beach was sandy with lots of waves down the shore for surfing.

The Grand Palladium Vallarta is an excellent family orientated resort. The pools are wonderful and the beach great for boogie boarding or beach combing depending on what you prefer. There are numerous food establishments but time your dinner time as depending on how busy the resort is you may have a wait. We upgraded upon arrival to the Family Selection area of the resort. The rooms are a bit larger, the pool area quieter and the restaurant and bar/snack area are both great. This was our first all inclusive experience as a family and we highly recommend the Grand Palladium.

Very pleasant staff. Excellent food. Weather was perfect. Comfortable bed. Room was cleaned and fridge stocked daily. Overall a very nice resort and good trip. It seemed to be a great choice for people with kids. Lots of stuff for them to do.

The staff were always pleasant. The grounds were impeccable. Also we wanted change rooms, no problem. They had us in another room in less than hour. We enjoyed the beach under the wonderful straw umbreallas protecting us from the sun. We had fun parcipati ng in the water aerobics and dancing in the lobby. We hope that we return to Paradise.

The positive is that the resort and rooms are clean and the staff are pleasant. Also, the nightly entertainment was good. Outside of that I don’t have many nice things to say. The resort is small, the pools are small, the rooms are tiny. The A/C in the rooms barely worked. There are no elevators anywhere in the resort. The door lock to our bathroom didn’t work. I had to call every day to have the room cleaned as they always forget. When the room was cleaned, they always forgot something. The resort is NOT stroller friendly at all with no ramps anywhere around the rooms (again, no elevators either). There are many nice looking restaurants but the food is tasteless and mediocre at best in all of them. I definitely would not go back.

We had to stop at four or five different resorts on the way there to let people off on top of our already 45 minute drive there so that was long when we got there checked in they tried pushing us for a timeshare recommend don’t do it service at the adult pool was fantastic buffet was good service on open their side Was so so lots of stairs room were very nice over all a great place to stay

Enjoyed our vacation, amenities were good although we did not take advantage of everything available, we lazed on the beach with our books, walked everyday once the tide was out far enough to get safely around the point and swam frequently in the ocean. Not pool people, we come to the beach for the natural ocean swim (if we liked the pool, we may as well go to Arizona LOL) Had intended to get out in the kayaks but a persistent shoulder injury advised me against. The boogie boards we did play on were in kind of rough shape, scratched my legs up a bit. One day we went to borrow snorkel equipment but there was no one to assist, and although there was some equipment sitting there, we did not know if it was clean or if we had to book it out. Took advantage of the free Catamaran ride, but made sure we booked it right at 9 am. Food was nice, reasonable variety, salsa and guacamole daily lunchtime staple. Did find that an awful lot of salt is used in everything! We ordered a Caesar a few times, which are already loaded with salt, and had to ask that salt not be added to the drink NOT the rim, I'm talking the Drink itself. Enjoyed the Bambu restaurant and had dinner at the Mexican Adelita restaurant twice Have had many all inclusive vacations over the years and know what to expect. We are at a point in our lives where we actually don't mind doing our own cooking, liquor selection etc but opted for a week of complete relaxation instead The one thing i wish all inclusives could provide a step up in is WINE. Several options of hard liquor are available for cocktails (although sometimes i swear the same stuff just goes into different labels) but the house wines that are served in AI's are SOOO BAAAD. I did order a bottle one night to accompany a nice Italian dinner, it was a bottle that cost $12 at home, and was $50 CAD. The wine served tasted like it was watered down, with vinegar. If there is an effort to make the food delicious, why would you want to destroy it with crap wine? Sorry, i just can't drink tequila or cocktails at dinner. Facilities were clean, room was serviced nicely although i did ask twice for a top up of the snack size peanuts we had on day 1 in our room, but never received any again. Would I recommend this resort? Sure, but it is essentially the same as any other, no huge standouts.

Grounds and ocean pool were amazing. Service in the Family Section was amazing as was one particular older gentleman server in the pool restaurant by the slides. Food was mostly a 3.5 star. We had an excellent time, third visit. We were actually married here and went back for our ten year anniversary with two little kids in tow. Made some great new memories. The servers treated our 8 month old baby like royalty!!!

Its a nice Place but would not go back again too many Stairs and had to change room because they could not fix AC unit and room in lower area the WIFI did not work well. we had the Air transit Imperial club package and only got turn down service tell we had to move rooms on day two of our trip

The hotel grounds were beautiful, well kept. There are beautiful views of the ocean from all over. Alcohol selections were superb. Great variety of food at buffets. A la carted good, Except with the first come first serve, it’s a bit difficult to plan your night if you have to wait hours for a table. Everything was very clean.

Great areas to relax was nice seeing the animals daily and the food was very good. Also was cool seeing the whales offshore from the pool and beach. The resort is a great size which makes easy to find your way around

A group of friends and I recently spent a week at the Grand Palladium Vallarta. The resort was on the smaller side, but great for relaxing days at the pool and ocean. The food was good but not very much variety from day to day. I personally do not have accessibility issues, but there isn't a single elevator at the resort, and stairs to get pretty much anywhere. I often saw parents carrying strollers up the stairs, and occasionally motorized wheelchairs left behind at the bottom; not a good look. The Resort should have better disclosure during booking time to ensure accessibility issues are properly disclosed.

Great hotel. Service was amazing. Staff took care of everything. Great spot for children. The kids club was great and resort was clean and well run. Family selection is well worth the upgrade. Zoo was super cool

Staff, beach and pools were great. Food for the most part awful. Usually cold and low quality products. Service was generally good. Evening shows were terrible. Just a bunch of folks on stage dancing to the nights theme. I would not recommend this resort and will not return.

Resort is lovely, thought we had problem with securing lounge chairs around pools and on the beach. People would be out at 6am in order to secure their lounge chairs....not enough of them around. Quality of restaurant dinners poor, meat tough.

This is our second time coming to Palladium Vallarta and we loved it all over again. We got greeted in the mornings by Antonio at the Breakfast Buffet and it continued throughout day with all the great employees there. The resort is just an amazing setting. We took an excursion to Vista Paraiso with our guides being Eric, Roberto and Papparazi photographer Ozwaldo on a 4 Wheeler tour of the area which was our favourite tour yet.

It was our second time staying at the Grand Palladium Vallarta. We will be back again. Its a nature lover's dream. The grounds are spread out, which we feel is a bonus when you eat and drink at an all inclusive, its nice to be able to move around to get from point A to point B. The infinity pool and Mexican restaurant balcony are by far our favs. The beach is awesome if you love to play in the surf. And the staff is always ready with a smile.

Lovely grounds, great food with lots of variety, nice size - not too big, not too small. Awesome staff that are ready to serve. Lots of activities although we chose to spend most of our time reading and walking. Resort is on a cliff, so be prepared for lots of stairs to pools, restaurants, beach and different locations in resort. No elevators. Resort is located 45 minutes north of airport in a remote area so very quiet and away from towns or other resorts. Pools are nice but wish there was a larger one for actual swimming. Pool bathrooms were in need of more frequent cleaning. Resort is in a cove so the beach is not large and there is little opportunity to take long walks along the beach Great opportunity to watch or try surfing.

This being our second visit to the Palladium and feel that they have scaled up the service levels and courtesy to their guests. Great clean beach for surfing, bogey boards and swimming. We will be back.

The rooms and amenities were very good. The staff were friendly and attentive. Food was excellent at all the restaurants. Special kudos to Effren and the staff at the Family Selections Pool Bar and Juan at the Hemingway Bar who made the best cocktails!

My bf and I hsve been to this resort twice. First time was April 2018 and more recently September 2018. The first time we came we loved that the resort was not as huge as some of the others see have visited. If you are a surfer this is the place for you as the beach has amazing waves and surf boards to use. Better than surfing in Sayulita. Part of the reason why this place is so great is because the staff here go beyond. Cristian at the front desk was so accommodating when we extended our stay by 3 extra days. He went over and beyond to get us the best room possible at the price we could afford. Bety the Barista at the coffee bar near the gift shop makes the most delicious iced Frappacunos. Eder the sport staff in the surf area will teach you how to surf or boogie board or paddle board and Jesus is an amazing bellman and concierge. As you can tell we loved this resort because of the staff who work here and have made sure Jose the general manager is aware. If you are looking for a beach getaway that is not overly crowded with western vacationers this is the resort for you. The Rooms are great and service is amazing. If you gave isdues they will be resolved right away. Love the jacuzzi tubs. We will be back a third time most definitely,

Grounds pools , waterfront and rooms were very nice. Personal service was hit and miss with times when you had to look for employees for the simplest things like a drink. We recieved more attention from the vacation club and spa sales reps contantly try to sell their services even when you were trying to relax on your loungers.Taking away from your own rest and relaxation time On the other hand they were spot on when i proposed to my fiance at the mexican restaurant and they provided us with champagne and personalised dessert

Amazing view. We really enjoyed our visit! Clean, great for the whole family. Viktor at the water sport was very nice and helpful. The Pop team was very good and engaging . The mini zoo was fun and the à la carte restaurants were very good.

We really liked this resort. Was very clean, rooms were great, staff was very friendly and helpful. Service and food at all the restraunts was good. The selection at buffet was good for all people. Nightly entertainment was fantastic. Only downfall was there are a lot of stairs which isn’t great for wheel chairs or strollers. But would definitely visit again!!!!

Easy to get to from anywhere in Canada. Great value, amazing property and staff. So many options for food and secret areas to chill. No other resorts around like many areas, you feel like you have your own private retreat, not to mention the best surf break in the area!

Clean rooms and friendly staff. Food is good but hard to get reservations to restaurants. Out of the way for shopping or just walking around. Not suitable for people with mobility issues pools are great and adult pool is great with no kids allowed you have choice of either

Hotel was very well kept and recently renovated. Food wasn’t bad. We had excellent customer service and staff were all very welcoming and friendly! Location was amazing - on a cliff right by the beach made for great views from our ocean view room. Hotel excursions such as catamaran rides and surf lessons were all included in “all-inclusive prices.” A wonderful family result overall!

Awesome food, drinks, staff and location. Not too far from the airport. Shuttles were on time, easy check in. Everyone was helpful. Clean grounds, nice rooms. Beers were cold, rums were strong. All you need.

Fantastic hotel. The service staff was excellent, as was the food (especially the Mexican dishes). We have food allergies in our family and the hotel was proactive and helpful to ensure that we didn't have any issues. The facilities were very well maintained and clean, and the beach was immaculate. As will happen in any resort, we experienced a couple of minor issues. The response was quick and focused. For example, the air conditioning in our room didn't functioning properly. The hotel sent service staff up immediately, and when they determined that the repair was going to take extra time, they gave us the option of moving to another room. We accepted, and they worked hard to make the process trouble-free for us. We would return without any hesitation.

Food, entertainment, staff were great. Very friendly family resort. Was not happy about the 1 hour none time share presentation, thought I was going to have to call a lawyer to get out of the room. VERY VERY PUSHY!!!

Everything was amazing. Out of the 10 or so resorts I’ve stayed at over the years, this one blows them out of the water! I’d highly recommend this to anyone. The only downside is there is a lot of stairs and no elevators!

Very clean, very well staffed, great food(especially the Mexican food), fantastic kids club...Karla is the best. We loved the fact that the kids club gives you a radio so they can get ahold of you immediately if your child is upset. The resort is so kid friendly with beach toys to use, wonderful water park, breakfast with Rags the resort mascot and many more kid friendly features. Not only that, it also caters to adults well too. We loved the grand palladium Vallarta so much, we plan on taking our family a third time next year.

We stayed at the Grand Palladium Puerto Vallarta on February 17-24th in the Imperial Club Master Junior Suite in building 4. The Direct Transfer from Airport to resort turned out to be a milk run stopping at multiple hotels, even though we paid for Direct Transfer. The Air Transat lady at Airport was arguing with the shuttle people to get us a direct transfer and he wouldn't do it. He finally compromised after 5 minutes or arguing, the milk run bus stopped at our hotel first. We arrived at 1 pm and they told us the room will be ready at 3 pm on the second floor. We came back at 3 pm at it still wasn't ready and to come back at 3:10, then 3:20, then 3:40, then 3:50 and finally at 4 pm we were given a room on the 1st floor, which we declined as we requested the 2nd or higher. When we asked for the room we were promised, the supervisor told us that nobody had promised the room, but the young man was right beside her. We finally got our room at 6 pm. I asked if that is how you treat your imperial club guests? She didn't reply. After check-in, we received a Check-out slip in Spanish. Why? We went to the Air Transat agent the next day and he was very apologetic for the problems and would get to us later that day. He asked us to come back at 3 pm and he would find out what happened. We went back at 3 pm and all we got from him was excuses, such as a 5 hour check-in was normal. What nonsense was this? We stayed at this Grand Palladium hotel because we had stayed at the Mayan Rivera hotel prior with Imperial Club and it was excellent. Imperial Club at this resort means absolutely nothing. You get nothing for the extra money that you paid! The maid service was excellent and the room, when we eventually got it was excellent in building 4. The staff that work the bars and buffets make up for the useless check-in counter staff. The staff at the Steakhouse were terrible. The cowboy steak I had the first night was RAW! I sent it back and it came back so tough that it was inedible. My wife's steak was supposed to be well done and came back medium. Back it went and came back half well-done and the rest medium well. The rude lady at the Italian restaurant turned us off that restaurant, so after 2 bad experiences, we went to the buffets for all of our meals that for the most part were excellent. A big shout out to the Carlos and staff at the Secrets bar, especially the warm smile you got everyday from Melissa. All of the beach bar staff are EXCELLENT, especially Antonio, Omar and Ezekel and a lovely woman that I didn't write he name down. We sat in the main buffet section and were served by the lovely Judith! We were treated like family every day. We missed seeing her on her day off. The gang at Hemingway's were excellent and very entertaining, as we went there every night. We had great breakfasts and lunch's at the Punta Mita buffet by building 5. The resort was very beautiful and we loved walking around the resort. No need for a gym as there are a lot of steps. The beach was awesome and we spent most of our time there. In all, the restaurant, maid and bar Staff are excellent, except for Steakhouse and Italian restaurants. Would I go back? Never! Even though sitting on the beach, watching whales breach in the bay was awesome, we were let down the Steakhouse and Italian restaurants. The check-in process was the worst I've had in 30 years of travelling in the Caribbean. At the Mayan Riviera hotel, Imperial Club meant something, but that doesn't seem to be the case at this hotel.

The grounds are beautiful, love how they kept all the vegetation natural, that was a huge bonus. Nice feature having a little zoo there. They even had a shunk on site wandering everywhere. The food was great, lots of choices and good in the buffets. The alacart were good, but big downfall you couldn't book them most of the time. They said book on the app, it never worked most of the time. Frustrated a lot of people. That all needs to be revisited and set up properly.They always said come early at 6:00 pm you will get in which we did get in. Most of the time you would walk into them later 7:30-8:00 pm and they were mostly Empty but you couldn't go in and eat because you didn't book but when you tried to book they said fully booked. Needs big improvement. The beach and ocean was very nice. The pools were good. Spent a lot of time in both. Lots of stairs everywhere and steep ramps is the downfall. Was a work out for most of the people at the resort even the workers there. They had one step areas everywhere very dangerous seen several people fall and trip on those, that is poor planning there. For senior folks and people who have back and knee or hips problems and in not good physical shape is not the place for them. Big mistake in allowing the resort people into the area of the time share part. Feel for those people now not having what they paid big dollars for at this particular resort. Overall very good resort, talking to a lot of people when we were there the ongoing comments was the one step stair tripping and falling, way to many stairs and steep ramps and the alacart issue.

The hotel rooms were dank and stuffy with constant mold smell. We had to move from the first room as it was unbearable and this view as supported by club people who were shocked at the smell, the second room was better but still not acceptable. We paid for Imperial service in a master junior suite and it was not worth it at all. The management of this hotel is poor but the service was excellent in the restaurants and bars with the food mostly okay. Our imperial master junior suite was not properly made up as per advertised and I had to call frequently to get bathrobe, slippers, fruit basket and gift plus beach towels. The maid service was good. The entertainment was to hip hoppy and not enough good dancing music but weather was great and beach pretty good Alon with a great massage near the beach area. I will not go back again as management letting the place deteriorate with bad room smells.

Exceptional grounds , well cared for forest and walkways. Very small decks on the third floor , barley room for 1 chair. The best choice of food in our 15 other trips. The pools were very good and clean. Dinning areas were very clean. The only real complaint was the # of stairs. over 100 stairs to get from our room to the breakfast and dinning areas. I saw 6 people fall down , some of them were hurt. There no lighting on most of them and some steps were 4 inchs high.

Wonderful resort. Well kept rooms and nicely groomed grounds. Nightly entertainment was of high caliber. I especially liked The Tenors when they performed on Sunday nights. Food at the main buffet had quite a varied selection and was very good. A la carte restaurants...some were better than others for food and service. Staff from front desk to servers to cleaning staff to grounds maintenance people were friendly, polite and cheerful. Everyone works very hard to make your stay memorable.

Very comfortable accomadations . A lot of stairs to climb Held a fantastic super bowl party. Has something for everyone old and young. There were a few nights that two of the four alacarts were closed for

We have loved our time there each time. They continue to improve the resort. The staff are great and always go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Love watching the whales and dolphins from the poolside. We will definitely keep this on our list to return.

The hotel room was great, clean and very friendly cleaning staff. Was not up to the Palladium standards compared to the Riveria side of Mexico at the same hotel chain. Kinda disappointed with the food at the buffet most times cold and not a lot available. The restaurants rotate days they are open so if missed that day out of luck and very hard to book. Beach BBQ was by reservation and was terrible. Loud rock music playing, not enough food (no dessert left for 2nd sitting) Not a pleasant experience.

Hotel was nice, rooms were larger than other resorts I've been too and the service was great. My only con, would be the buffet however the cliental it is focused toward would appreciate it more than say myself who enjoys spicy food and flavors. The restaurants were fantastic and if you go right when they open at 6 and are willing to wait 30-45 minutes you don't even need a reservation. I really don't have a bad thing to say. You are in Mexico at a resort, not the Wynn in Vegas. Tons of activities to do throughout the day, enthusiastic staff and an overall great atmosphere. We had a great vacation.

The Tenors were beyond incredible WOW!!!!

This is a very family centered resort from the kids club to the mini club to the staff at the sports shack on the beach. Even the bar tenders were great with our two little girls. We will definitely be going again in the future. Where else can you work on trying to surf for free?

Overall it was a great trip. The staff were generally very friendly and helpful - and there's a lot of them so the vast majority were warm and welcoming. The place was clean and the food was pretty good. I was irritated with some of the hostess' attitudes (e.g. at Portofino) and one in the Viva Mexico restaurant speaking about my dress in Spanish not knowing that I too speak Spanish (although one gentleman later came and apologized to me, and my server Roberto was excellent). I was disappointed that my daughter's tiny, size 7 toddler, hard to replace flip flops were stolen from our room leaving her with only runners half of our stay. I also heard that a smaller amount of money was taken out of my friend's wallet while it was being cleaned. I feel as though if I complained I would have reimbursed me for them but I didn't feel like having the awkward, negative conversation while debating if someone steals shoes because they're paid poorly (I don't know how well staff are/aren't paid) is it still wrong? I didn't need that on my conscience on vacation. The "zoo" however is unconscionable. Two monkeys are cooped up in a small cage containing one tree with no branches Spider monkeys travel between 1 to 3km daily with a group of 10 to 30 family members. The ostrich looks unwell, like it's been pulling out its own feathers. It was awful to see.

We recently stayed at the Grand Palladium Vallarta. The facilities are lovely. It is a bit removed from PV, maybe 3/4 hour drive from the airport. If you want to do anything or go anywhere, it's a taxi or bus ride. We especially enjoyed the adult pool, and the Beach. We also liked the quietness of the salt water pool. The lunches, that we participated in, put on at the beach daily, were wonderful. not the same old cold burger and fries. The Zentropia spa is very lovely. truly enjoyed my massage from Alma. The one thing I didn't understand, was why people were made to line up at the buffet doors, had to give room numbers. then when we got to the buffet, it's not like they were full. The Buffet food was good. Not really crazy about booking through an app for a la carts. when were first told this, I thought it was a great idea, no standing in line everyday at a concierge to book your restaurants! But in fact it was a bit more cumbersome. You don't book for THIS evening, you are actually booking 24hrs ahead. so we missed out on a few a la carts because of this misunderstanding. With this said, there is wifi everywhere, which is nice. I was also slightly disappointed with the balconies. very very small. we had an ocean view room, but 2 people on the balcony was very tight. The staff were all very friendly and very accommodating, really a pleasure. one more thing, the check in process seemed so long, and they had plenty of staff on to accommodate the bus load of people, but it seemed to take longer than it needed to. A turn off was the sales push to buy into their travel club. All in all though, a nice resort.

This resort was a little overwhelming at first but once you figured everything out it was easy. There are a lot of stairs and lots of uphill walking so would not be good for people with mobility issues. The resort itself is beautiful & well maintained. There are 3 pools within the resort. The beach is actually very nice. If you go close to the vendors the sand is a lot better. The food was absolutely amazing. You won’t starve & there is always somewhere to get something to eat around the clock. The staff were so friendly & couldn’t do enough for you. Rooms were clean & well kept. There is lots to do at this resort so you will never be bored. All in all this was a wonderful vacation & we can’t wait to go back.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Grand Palladium Vallarta: beautiful grounds/beach, comfortable/spacious room, excellent food (prime rib every night at the buffet), and very good service (most of the time). Humpback whales breached on numerous occasions just off shore. We also enjoyed several entertaining shows at the theatre.

Had a great time - paddle boarding, surfing, sailing, kayaking, beautiful paths, amazing shows, and dancing the night away, this place has it all. Food is great, the place is beautiful. Everyone was absolutely great - special mention to Carlos Yamazaki for being awesome all around and making the vacation memorable, Victor for making sure I had fun in the sun and the sea, Jesus for getting the party started, and Pepe for a great manicure. On the not so great side - the drink selection is huge and imaginative, but the house wine is terrible - although you can get bottles of decent stuff at reasonable rates. Housekeeping needs improvement- no clean towels for 2 days!! they eventually showed up but I was forced to complain. Overall all 3 of us had a blast even though we were all doing different things, and with all the exercise and stuff going on, we even lost a bit of weight, even with all the great food.

Starting at the airport: Disgusting timeshare vultures that tour company should help passengers get past. We were told to walk past and go outside but almost impossible to do without getting grabbed. Airtransat should have representatives to get you through this for the amount of money paid to them. At the resort: at check in given no towel cards and again a time share vulture waiting beside you to "give you information about the resort". You have to be rude and awful to them to leave you alone and get on with your vacation. The information given was "log onto the the travel club chat room to request a la carte reservations". No way was I giving my name and room number to be hassled more. Our room never had AC.. We slept with the screen door open to get cool. It was hit and miss to get clean towels and facecloths in the room and the correct amount. A la carte restaurants a complete joke. If they didn't outright say they were booked from 6 pm they would tell you to come back in 30 min and check in This would go on for over 2 hours. At one restaurant people were arguing with seating people as many of us waiting for over 2 hours with no results and restaurant empty. As we were standing there 4 people walked in and just sat down. Terrible. One al la carte was never open all week we were there. The buffet restaurant good food but terrible service. There was no water, juice or anything available for you to get yourself, it was all brought to you, if you were lucky. Three of us would sit and they would only bring 1 glass of water and refill only 1 at a time. ?? no sense. Even tipping didn't seem to help. VERY upsetting with the restaurants and service. It would be different if we only paid less than $1000 but when you pay premium money it's like your treated as a joke. Do they really have that many in the travel club that no one else matters? Maybe don't promote and lose your business as not worth wasting good money on. The resort itself was very clean and bathrooms always clean and decent which is very positive. Still lots of saving beach chairs and never seeing anyone in them most of the day. As for the honeymoon perks...JOKE again. There were no perks at all for the honeymoon couple.. They got no more than we did, travel club crap and a book or coupons to get you to spend more money. Also for the Christmas eve supper when enquiring about reservations for supper as trying to feed everyone at hotel there was none. No body was concerned at all. Of course it was a total gong show and we barely got a glass of water let alone anything else.

Our family of six (all adults) travelled from Regina, Canada to the Grand Palladium Vallarta December 14 to 21, 2017 for a pre-Christmas holiday. We all booked through TripCentral. It was Sunquest tour on a Westjet plane. We like to book the Sunquest better than the Westjet tour because the wait at the airport for your transportation is much less. This was our 3rd time here. We love it here and will be back for a 4th. Now that the Royal Suites side has opened up to everyone, we spent all our days at that pool. Had the most amazing waiters, HERIBERTO and CARLOS. They treated us like family and we wanted to take them home with us. Four of us upgraded to the Royal Suites, so I think that got us more perks, plus much larger rooms. I love all the stairs. Being up on the cliffs gives the resort a lot of character and helps to wear off all the food and drink, not mention the beautiful views from up there. The drinks are NOT watered down. We really enjoyed the different cocktails at the Royal pool bar. The bartender there (can’t remember his name) made the best Cielo Rojo’s in the whole resort – thank you. Food was good as usual. Our favorite a la carte was the Ribs and More restaurant. They have the best BBQ sauce on their ribs. Had no problem booking a la carte’s, just went to the desk in the hallway at the front lobby and they helped us out. The app did not work for us. If you are in line at an a la carte by 5:30 you get in when they open anyway, at least we did. Found the WiFi to be fine, never had a problem, except it would not load the Palladium app. Took advantage of booking the spa for an 80 minute massage. It was wonderful as usual. Our daughter was sick for a few days, but she forgot to not use the tap water for anything except showering. Use bottled water even for brushing your teeth. Have no complaints, except maybe the pool was too warm, LOL, not really a complaint. You are in one of the most amazingly beautiful, friendly places, with great food and drinks. if you treat these beautiful people the way you like to be treated, you will have no reason to be unhappy. Thanks again Grand Palladium Vallarta!

We first stayed at the Grand Palladium in April of 2017 and went back with family on Dec 14th for another week in the sun. All the renovations are done with a lot of the resort looking renewed and fresh. An added bonus this time was that we were able to access the Royal pool area and Nest restaurant. Special thanks to Heriberto and Carlos - hard working guys who always made sure we had a cold cocktail all the time - they made our days down at the pool - Gracias Amigos! Martin and princess Teressa at the Nest always had us sit at the best view table and made sure we had everything we needed.The Zentropia Spa was again a hit with the ladies and if they could, they would have gone every day. Sunset dinner at the Mexican rest was a wonderfull open air experience and Jannet again making the freshest guacamole right at the table should not be missed - and I dont like avacados, but I ate this up. The Bambu Japanese rest was not my favorite but different tastes for everyone. Ribs and Steaks had an awesome filet and it would have been easy to eat another except you were full. Portofino Italian hasn't changed much except the salad bar is gone and a pizza oven is in its place - the menu is a bit confusing - if you order a meat entree it does not tell you that potatoes are included - be careful and don't order pasta to go with it because you will get two full meals. The rooms (deluxe) are basic but nice - we were in 3217 and had a lovely ocean view, but its in need of some upgrading - the shower taps need replacing, the shower glass lets water all over the floor and the jet tub is missing all the jets. All you really need is a decent shower. Our cousins paid for an upgraded room after spending one night in a deluxe and said it was worth it. Hemmingways bar used to be a nice quiet retreat, but now its hard to speak in there because it seems to be the party bar and it has lost its quiet ambience - thanks to Jessica and Manny for remembering our drinks every night. We would go back again, but you need to know that its a bit out of the way if you want to leave the resort, then its a cab ride or a rattle bus - we go to relax and dont need to leave because we have done Puerto Vallarta a few times - all in all we enjoy this resort.

Staff is incredible, great resort. Food is above average. Had a ocean view and was worth the money, resort views are amazing. The two different main pools were nice for variety. The ocean and ocean pool are nice, rooms are clean and stocked daily. The resort is currently under construction but is supposed to be done soon so it will be awesome. Lots of walking and stairs but knew that coming in. Nothing to complain about so that makes a wonderful trip. The staff is top notch and help make a good place great. Looking forward to returning.
