The rooms are great everything clean. The food and staff are amazing. Downside is the walk to the beach. Because that is what I go on vacation for. But if you like to stay at the pool, I would recommend this for you. The pool is heated you can go in early in the morning and in the evening.

If they would just refurbish the old tired bathrooms we could have enjoyed our stay a bit more. The shower door was broken & didn't close proper. Water temperature fluctuated from hot to cold almost burning you at times. Whoever changed the sink certainly wasn't a handyman. Such a poor job the faucet was so close to the wall you couldn't get your hands around them. The tiled vanity top must have been done by a child. Very poor job and grout missing all over. It just didn't look sanitary. The toilet seat flopped all over the place and needed tightening. You needed to hold the flush button down or it didn't flush anything down. Apparently the last upgrade was back in the early 80's and it shows. The room had very few plug ins for charging. Our view was the roof of the dining room. Not terribly attractive. Daily maid service was very inconsistent. Sometimes in the morning, sometimes in the afternoon & sometimes in the evening. Should have been more regular. Food was ok but nothing special. Very repetitive . No ice cream but the desserts were good as was the baked bread & buns. The plastic glasses from the bar were rinsed and used over again & again. Yes rinsed not washed. The Mexican employees were always very accommodating & friendly. This was the best part of the experience. I guess you get what you pay for. We like to enjoy the Mexican culture but this was just a bit too dated & shabby for our liking.

After thoroughly checking this resort out on line, I decided to give it a try. Not disappointed. Although not on the beach, the location was perfect for us. Nice grounds, gardens, warm pool, plus lots of loungers and shade to enjoy the excellent wait staff. Buffet was fine. Omelette station excellent. Different themes for dinners with Mexican fiesta on Saturday. Special a la carte restaurant was quiet, cool and intimate. Rooms adequate and comfortable. Beach club a short walk if you prefer. Can’t say enough about the staff. Would return again.

Hacienda , a mature hotel, is a mixture of old school charm that has successfully bridged the old and the new by anticipating the guests needs very well. From the music they play at breakfast, mellow and classical to more lively in the evening, to the wide variety of dishes they serve. Somewhat Spicey for those who like it hot and mild for those who don’t. The music around the pool Is not too loud and more pop and soft rock. Easy on the ears. Every Saturday the hotel hosts a traditional Mexican Night with a group of very talented and professional dancers who performed traditional dances from the various states in Mexico. The night was MC’d by a songstress with a fabulous voice. They also serve traditional Mexican food from different states which is delicious. The hotel staff were professional , polite and went the extra mile to accommodate guests. We enjoyed our first stay so much, we came back the next year. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Had a great vacation and stay at the Hacienda Buenaventura!!! The authentic colonial style mexican hotel was perfect......friendly staff, clean and well maintained rooms, warm showers when needed and toilet worked fine!! Flower gardens and pool were immaculate....well done Jaime.....crystal clear water and heated to 88 degrees F.....perfect!!! Bartender and pool waiter kept us well hydrated and the snack bar cook kept us fed during the pool day....your BBQ ribs are to die for!!!! Had a slight problem with the tv sound in the room but Nery, the receptionist had a repairman at our door before WE could get back......Awesome....very impressed!! Dining room staff were polite and accomodating and Pauline and America were very kind and pleasant dining room greeters!!! Food was great and varied, and proper food handling performed by staff and guests!! The only thing I think they could do better is entertainment every day instead of every second day and even though the Spanish dancers and singers were great maybe some English speaking entertainment, just for familiarity , and some organized pool entertainment!! Other than that ........ spectacular!!!!!!!! Very affordable and would definitely go back to our knew friends!!!! And will miss my Mexican Coffee in the morning without all their smiles!!!!

The three-story complex has charming Mexican architecture and a low-key vibe. The rooms are older and modest but have comfortable beds and good showers with a small garden patio. The staff are friendly especially restuarant and bar staff. This is a quiet resort with low key music that ends at 10pm. A few younger families but mostly older retired folks are guests so this is not a party place.

the resort is well kept, the staff are fabulous, the food every meal was cold , cold scrambled eggs , cold roasted potatoes . better like hotdogs . this has been my go to location for every vacation opportunity since 1999, approximately7 times . I am self-employed and can not vacation on a regular basis. when I do it has always be the Hacienda. sad to say that will be my last .

Wasn’t the best resort we’ve been to, when we requested shampoo and towels they didn’t bring it up; had to request it a few times. The accommodations in the room were not that great. The WiFi doesn’t work in the bathroom, we had the door tag on for room service to clean our room and they didn’t, so we didn’t tip. Not the best experience

Upon stepping into the hotel lobby one glance to our right revealed a lovely oasis with a pool. The restaurant overlooked this area and provided a nice shady area to eat. The staff were responsive and attentive and happy to assist. The hotel is older and from a different era, that was part of its charm. There was easy access a half a block away to the buses that ran frequently to the Center and Malecón. It was a quick five minute walk to the beach. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and we hope to return.

I have been going to this resort for many years now. It is very small, quaint and super friendly!! The rooms are always being upgraded and are very clean. The reason I like it so much is because it’s small, you meet new friends that we meet back every year for our vacations. The beach is a short walk or the hotel supplies a shuttle. There is a bar on the beach but the washrooms have been removed. (Downfall ) I consider myself to be a picky eater but always find something to eat. The staff are amazing !!

Hotel and facilities are fine and practical. Taxi stand, public transportation access, near a mall, short walk to beach, has beach facilities and a nice pool. Service was excellent, food was good, ambience was relaxed and quiet, parking for rental was easy and free. Rooms were a bit dated but all functioned well. For the price and star rating, the value was great.

Left and right you’re minutes away on foot from malls, shops and grocery stores and a short drive to downtown and Malecon. For a 3 star resort, food and drinks are great; all the staff and I mean every single one who works in this resort is incredibly polite and attentive. I think they are the main reason this resort thrives despite the hotel being old. Our room was clean but part of the ceiling was leaking, shower door won’t close well and shower water not draining well; this needs to be addressed immediately. Overall, we are happy with our stay in this resort.

I stayed here 4 years ago and loved it. Went back and had same experience. Excellent staff some were the same from last visit. Was disappointed that the beach bar was closed which meant no food or bathrooms at the beach. They did have drinks available. It was affordable and would stay here again.

This was a little older but well maintained hotel. The name "Mexican Charm" is quite fitting because it was charming! Great staff, clean rooms, tasty food. We are a family traveling with a 6 year old. We all loved this hotel. Close to the beach (5 minute walk) and nice beach club. Would definitely go back.

This was our second time at the Hacienda Buenaventura. The only downside is that it’s about a five minute walk to the beach and when you go out the front door to get there, you’re on the major road through town so there’s some noise and exhaust fumes. The staff here are exceptional. It’s a small enough hotel that you really get to know your servers, bartenders etc. Most of the staff from our first visit are still there so I assume that they are treated well. Franchesko, the senior of the restaurant waiters was great. The entertainment is limited and there is no disco so it’s a pretty quiet place- not party central. The food does get a bit repetitive after a while and the selection for vegetarians is a bit limited but we don’t go there for gourmet food. The beach club is on a very good part of the beach and the service at the beach bar and snack bar was great. We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone who is looking for a more authentic Mexican experience.

No fridge in room, rooms over pool needs renovation, bathroom especially. Food not always hot. No ice cream. However really loved all the extra touches example, shaved ice, cerveshe, pineapple and coconut. Service was great. Staff fabulious. Beautiful gardens, pool super. Beach club adequate.

Found everything on this resort really good,would have liked more variety in the buffet but that’s just me.The staff from the front desk down to the bell boys were very friendly and all go out off their way to help you,pool you could just walk in nice and warm.Air Canada reps leave a lot to be desired ,after finding our transport at the airport our cases were put on Bus,The rep said we have lots off time go have a beer we won’t leave without you.15 mins later the bus is gone luggage and all to the hotel,couldn’t find Air Canada rep anywhere,Thanks to the Mexico Gentelman who made a few phone calls and got us a ride to hotel 2 hours later,No thanks to Air Canada.would recommend this resort to anyone,would not recommend Air Canada.

We found the grounds and pool well kept. The staff take pride in all they do. The restaurant staff efficient and friendly. The rooms basic but suit the purpose. The walk to each beach short and simple. The only annoying fact the smoking policy lets people some in pool and all around the pool. The large ash trays can be found right out side the restaurant which is just not acceptable when trying to eat. The smoking was very bothersome as I have asthma and did not realize before booking at this resort. If they had a smoking area away from pool and restaurant I would stay again. Do to the small size I’d only ever do a week as the food never changes. Location was fine.

this was my 3 rd visit in 17 years , absolutely nothing has changed , not that it needed change . All of the staff were fabulous , friendly and happy . Food was traditional Mexican with a nice option for an upgrade at no charge with the all inclusive pass .

My son and I stayed there for 7 nights, and we couldn't have been happier with the service, food, entertainment and facilities. The staff were 5 star!! Hotel was very clean, far exceeded my expectations for 3 star. I would 100% stay at this resort again.

This resort is good for relaxing - not a lot of pool games/activities going on. It is small in size and very close to a private beach club. Lots of loungers with beverage service both at the pool and beach which is appreciated. Food variety good, but temperature of foods needs improving. Hotel is older and there are some improvements needed, but the grounds are beautiful and the staff is second to none. Would return!

HB is an authentic spotless resort; room, beach, restaurants all nook and carnies are clean. They serve seafood, beef and chicken for each meal. The variety of food, vegetable and fruit was awesome. Don't miss their shrimp served for dinner! Pastries are good. Staff pleasant people who willing to help. The only down side for me was lukewarm food which is somehow understandable, maybe because of the amount of served food and longer hours of serving (till 11 for breakfast and till 4 pm for lunch). I was hesitant to choose this resort because of the vendors around beach but believe me or not it wasn't bad at all they are good people and don't bug you. So, enjoyed good food, drink, weather and vibe. If I go back to PV, this resort would be my choice. I met some people who stayed in HB between 4-10 times.

Very nice ,ground r beautiful ,nice views ,big beautiful rooms with room service morning evening .lots of food all day long .drink all day till to get drunk & hit the bed . Van service to the beach 🏖 5 minutes away & also have food & drink free to keep u enjoy the beach .

All I can say is this hotel was just excellent, best food, I have had at a hotel, rooms were very nice, service was awesome, Best hotel going back next year and staying at the same hotel. The hotel staff were very helpful, and very accommodating ,also very pleasant, everyone always had a smile, They had great entertainment nightly, buffet's had a different venue each night like seafood night, BBQ night, and a lot more, It definitely has Mexican charm, close to the beach. There was food either buffet hours or at the bar, and even on the beach, For a older hotel I would give it a 10 if I could,, I heard so many people tell me they come back to this hotel year after year, or when ever they come back to Puerto Vallarta .

We had a fabulous time! Great place for a great price. Excellent food and super service. Nice small resort-so easy to meet people. Would recommend this place. Good location as well. Kept us well stocked with drinks at all times at the resort or at the beach.

The hotel is awesome in every way because of it's "old charm" from the friendly and accommodating front desk staff, Management, bar tenders, restaurant staff and chamber maids. Can't wait to go back again. Food is great, staff are the absolute best, location, beach club, etc. The entire hotel staff (especially Miguelle (bar tender)) - kept saying Happy Birthday!) who all went out of their way to make my 60th Birthday a very special and memorable occasion that I will never forget and all the fantastic travellers we met who will now be lifetime friends. :) Thanks to all the ala carte staff on Feb. 24th! This was our second time going to the resort and we all loved it as much as the first time. Everything was great. The beach was beautiful, the rooms clean, the food was amazing and most of all the people that work at this resort are the most amazing people I have ever met.

The staff at this resort are helpful, happy and smiling all the time. Always asking if there is anything we want. The resort is beautiful with its architecture and greenery. The food is very tasty and plentiful. The drinks are cold and refreshing. The rooms are great and comfortable. I will definitely go back to this resort next year. They made us feel so welcome. Our new home away from home.

The hotel staff is way above exceptional! This quaint little space is within easy walking distance to the beach. The food is ok... nothing special...if I wasn't paying for all inclusive I would have eaten elsewhere.

Ground while kept. Food very Mexican which I enjoyed. Pool was clean. Rooms very basic but clean. A/C worked. Had hot water in the shower. Drinks good. Short walk to the beach not a problem. I enjoyed this place. Staff very friendly and helpful. I would return. I like smaller hotel as to the larger resorts.

We had the best time at the Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm!! Everything was great. Food was amazing, pool was refreshing, rooms were clean. Couldn't have asked for a better place for the price. We can't wait to go back.

Had a great time there a older bunch but they can still party , the staff where great lots of fun go out f there way to make you feel great clean great food small but charming but they all know your name by day two , just a great place to stay

This resort is a very quaint old style hacendia casa! You don't know what awaits you until you go inside.. it is centred around a courtyard style casa. The rooms are around the exterior. The pool and snack are on one end close to the spa and the main buffet is in the centre. P This resort is perfect for young families who want to keep track of their little ones. Also perfect for middle age and older looking to relax. Also those with mobility issues consider this resort. Everything is within easy access. The beach is not a far walk and totally safe to go to and from the resort. I believe if u have mobility issues they have a van that can take you. You will find a snack shack at the beach as well. Although this is an older resort the staff are always working to keep it in good working order. There is one alacarte restaurant and we didn't even get there. There is some repetition but for the price we were very happy. They have on Thursday night a Mexican theme supper. On Saturday night it's BBQ night. They doll the one side of the resort all up fancy and it's very nice. They also have an Italian night as well. Th only down side is how close it is to the main road. We had our room right by the corner of the street light. Next time I will bring ear plugs lol. I will definitely be going back. On a side note if u r looking for something different to do in puerto Vallarta try the zoo! We did and we enjoyed it very much!! .

I had such a great time, the resort was clean comfortable, beds were amazing, the beach sand and surf was perfect. Lots of seating around pool. Great food and entertainment. And the best part the staff was amazing and friendly. I would go back tomorrow if I could.

Nice little resort food was good and pool was nice rooms were average and beach club was nice but not alot of entertainment at night but not that expensive to grab a taxi into downtown areas and beaches which was a nice change of scenery from a week at the small resort it was nice to get out and see the authentic mexican culture the swim up bar at pool actually is not a swim up bar you actually have to get out of pool and walk a bit to the bar which was fine and pool was heated but was a very busy resort full of small kids so not much relaxing but beach we thought we could escape to for a peaceful nap or whatever but again alot of people asking you to buy goods like every two minutes literally so again a public beach the resort isnt at beach area its 2-3 blocks away but free shuttle to beach so that was fine you get what you pay for and it was affordable and still had a nice vacation but might try a different resort next time as this was listed as a 4 star or more but we say more like a 3 or 3.5 star

Zero complaints about the staff, rooms, wi-fi, pool, beach area, bars, location or dining. There is also a huge local grocery store and a pharmacy a block away that has anything you could ever want in case you forgot it at home. However, we did not realize that the pool and pool bar would be jammed up with so many locals. I did witness a local guy having sex with his girl "quietly" one afternoon in the heavily packed pool. Also I watched a bird poop in one of the salad containers at the outdoor BBQ night. After finally finding an english speaking staff member, they removed that salad from the buffet. A wedding was going on one night just behind the pool area. It was very loud and confusing because the pool area had a local band every night and the wedding had its own DJ. You can hear everything that happens outside in your room, but they did have everything fairly quiet by 1am every single night. There were a few private parties going on in the hotel, but most didn't last much into the night. There are things that are out of control of the hotel and its staff. They certainly were not at fault for any of the events that I had witnessed. Our room was spotless. Not the most secure looking place, but very clean and air conditioned. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, believe it or not!

My sister in law recommended this hotel and it was very nice. Even it was close to the main road, inside the compound, you would not recognize. Overall a great stay. Great food, great people and a great beach area. Would go back any time.

I was impressed on how helpful the staff were. Our door man was fantastic and directed us to some fun places. The resort was clean and food awesome. I had an excellent time. I would definitely return again.

This is our 2nd time there. It is a small older resort but they are always renovating. The rooms need work but they are always clean and the beds and pillows are comfy. There is only one pool but always lots of room. The night life after dinner shus down around 10:30pm as there are rooms all around the pool bar. You can still drink at the bar but quietly. If you want more partying you can always catch the town bus ( bus stop just up the street ). Or a cab to the malecon where there is always happening bars. The grounds are well kept with beautiful gardens. The staff are so friendly and helpful if you need anything. The ocean is less than a 5 minute walk or they have a shuttle that will take you. There is always something to eat, the food is good. They have theme nights for dinner. One night is Mexican, one night is seafood and they always have a BBQ night which is amazing. If you don't like theme food, there is always other food you can pick from. You never go hungry. I like this resort because it is so small that you meet so many amazing people that become friends. Caesar is the manager who always has a huge smile and always asking if everything is ok. He is a super man 😃 I can't wait for next year. If you are a picky person I wouldn't recommend this resort for you, but if your laid back and easy going it's friendly and a lot of fun.

Clean, beautifully landscaped, great friendly service, fresh food but bit repetitious, small but friendly hotel. Must be fit to stay on the top floor. We averaged climbing 500 stairs per day! Would recommend this hotel for more of the senior crowd.

Hacienda Buenaventura was like staying in old Mexico...amazing. Very very clean and cozy. The staff was kind and helpful. Loved this place because it was close to everything. Never had to take a taxi .. the city bus passes right in front and it was only 7.5 peso's per person (about .30 cents) to town centre and the Malecon. Busses are plentiful and pass every five min. They are doing some renovations, the manager said they are trying to do the things that the reviews are asking for. The pool and food were delish. The Beach Club was wonderful and you never had to fight for a chair with shade. We visited the spa which is like a small paradise, with paths, small tiny river and little thatched room areas ... gorgeous! But we didn't get a chance to have one - our days ended up full and got away on us, next time for sure. The prices at the spa were better than most other resorts I've been -very affordable. We also visited the famous Cathedral named after lady of Guadalupe in town central and also went on a mule ride in the mountains. Since on past vacations I've done most of the regular excursions we decided to on the mules in the mountains (through Canopy Tours). If you think this would be a boring outing ... think again! It was exciting, scary (walking on the edge of mountain cliffs) and a lot of fun .. half way you stop at a beautiful waterfall in the mountains where you can swim if you like. We enjoyed the resort and would return!

This hacienda had a very quaint and authentic atmosphere - cozy and comfortable. Many Mexicans frequent this resort over the weekends for a three-night stay - family friendly. The beach spot was easy to get to and the restaurant there very good. The food and service was very good (missed having ice cream available). The location was within walking distance to bus stops, Walmart and Soriana (grocery). I would recommend this resort.

As soon as we came to the hotel, we were made aware of an important problem which the reception team promptly and efficiently solved for us. This was just an example of what was going to be the next ten days at this hotel. Exceptional service at all levels.

An authentic Mexican hotel. Great location close to marina. Quick to hop on a bus to go downtown. Beach was nice and very swim able. Loved the food and thought the service was great. I would have like some more things to do in the evening. And the wifi never seemed to work. Very nice staff. Wish I was still there!

Great staff - Cesar (mgr) helped us with our room. Rooms clean. Food good. Hotel/grounds maintained. Location good to OK. Beach club was good but there needed to be more variety with the food....got tired of just hamburgers & fries! Having just one pool wasn't good, needless to say we spent a lot of time at the beach! Bar by the pool open too late - too noisy, especially as most rooms are close to this area. Flying out of Abbotsford was a bonus. Flying with WestJest was disappointing. Not as good as a few years ago. No meals were provided! Flying down our seats did not recline but the seats in front did to within a few inches of us! No leg room, seating was too cramped. Flying back we had more leg room (by exit) but again our seats did not recline.

This hotel is a gem, I am already telling friends this is the place to stay. I can not say anything negative about my stay. From the excellent food, clean rooms, great animal towel arrangement left on my bed daily, and amazing and I mean amazing staff. This was a holiday I will remember for a long time.

Good location. Need secure door locks. Food was average at the buffet. Grounds were nice. Staff were pleasant and helpful . Biggest issue was wifi which had limited availability. Place could use cosmetic TLC and they were starting to paint while I was there

Arrived at this small hotel by taxi from airport . Hotel grounds and pool were well kept . Room was always clean and 2 water everyday , hot water for showers always .Food is acceptable but not what you would get at a 4 or 5 star. I never went hungry . The beach is a 5 minute walk (have walked farther at beachfront hotels ) . We visited the botanical gardens in the mountains(beautiful) we don't book excursions as we go right to the source and get there on our own except for Mariettas Islands as it is protected and have to pay a fee , all other excursions we were interested in could be done without a guide . The weather was hot as we had hoped but a little humid as is Mexico . Bartenders were fantastic as were the animation team . Beware of Vanessa in the lobby trying to sell timeshares ( this is one thing that drives me batty , having the sharks installed in the hotel lobby looking like employees) and acting like they are working for the hotel ! This is only a 3 star and we feel we got 3 star service and worth the money 2 of us paid .

Old but clean spaces, friendly staff, beautiful Mexican art and decorations, good value for the money, a feeling of community, many of the guests were older enjoying togetherness, the food was plentiful, lots of Mexican cuisine, adorable spa area hidden near the far end of the swimming pool. A place to be appreciated for what it is, good enough not to complain about the beach being 5 minutes away, the noise of the big street being constant, the pool being small...

We are a return customer Excellent value, friendly staff, fabulous pool. The rooms are a bit dated, the smorg is pretty much the same everyday, however is still great value. The only advise I would give the owner is to "not change anything". :)

This hotel has a nice older authentic Mexican feel to it than some we have stayed at . Our room was on the 1st floor near the dining area so we just hopped the balcony and grabbed coffee every morning which was nice. The food was good as far as buffets go. Fish, Mexican dishes , chicken and pasta , salads and soups and at least 4 deserts . They have a grill where you can order your morning omelette as you like and had other interesting things on the go during some meal times .They make a great Spanish coffee ! There is a small grill in the pool bar area for snacks in between meals ( Burgers , pizza ect..) The pool side bar was great and so were the staff .The beach has a nice little bar with snacks as well as beach service at your chair . The actual beach is a short 5 min walk from the hotel but they do have a shuttle that will take you there as well . We have always stayed at a hotel right on the beach in old town so not being directly on the beach and having to travel into town took some getting used to so keep that in mind if you want to be in old town a lot or want a direct beach view and access . It was around a $10 cab ride or 75 cent bus ride to go downtown. All in all the staff were great , The hotel was good and it was a fun trip :)

Simply put, I have stayed three stars before, and this place does not compare. When you book three stars, your not expecting luxury, but you certainly are not expecting what this hotel offers. Broken tiles with large pieces missing in the bathroom. Extremely limited options for food. Nobody likes to drink their drinks out of tiny plastic cups. Some maintenance would be a good investment.

The grounds were very pretty and not to big. Great place for families. The staff were so kind and helpfully. They really seemed happy to help. Pool side chairs could use some updating but grounds kept very clean

First of all I would like to start buy saying it's our 3rd time in Mexico and we've always stayed at 5 star resorts. That being said this may sway our review for this resort. The resort is in major need of renovation. We changed rooms 3 times and were lucky enough to get room 222 which had a renovated bathroom. Our previous 2 rooms had an old bathroom with no fan and mold on the ceiling. We would like to thank our WestJet rep Kerry that helped us out tremendously with this matter as well as Laura and Adela. Unfortunately the 3 rooms smelled of enclosure due to the lack of proper ventilation. The food on the resort was very average and lacked variety. I actually got sick during the vacation, I am not sure if it was something I ate on the resort since we did spend a lot of time off the resort. The grounds are well kept and the staff are continuously working on cleaning everything. The beach is a short walk away and this wasn't an issue. The service was really great. The staff is really friendly and very helpful. A special thank you Laura, the front desk manager, and Adela our cleaning lady. The location is really good for this resort as it is very central. It's a short bus trip to Old Vallarta and also not very long to get to Nueva Vallarta. There is a Walmart close by, 10 min walk. Excursion, we only did one the Marietas and I would not recommend it. It's not at all what the description says it is and honestly they should close it down since it is quite dangerous. Hidden gem, a restaurant in Nuevo Vallarta called De la Sorona's. We went there twice and it was the best steak and tortillas we have ever had and really good price.

When you walk in from the street it is like entering an oasis. Great food. Very clean. Quaint. Well maintained. Great bar tenders Ola Pedro ! Fantastic experience.We had a room on the first floor away from the pool. Nice and quiet. Room 124

Second time to this resort, absolutely loved it, it is kept clean, excellent staff, food was good, pool very warm all our fellow holidayers were great as well, very friendly, warm place to holiday, we will be back

Such a cozy atmosphere, everyone was friendly. Your sad to see friends leave but the new ones that come are always just as amazing. Food was impressive no question there and we will be going back. The bar on the water the spot! Loved that it was close to a bus route to venture off the resort

Clean, comfortable facility with friendly staff. Food is plentiful and good. Beach is a 2-block walk or shuttle ride but Beach Club is inadequate. All rooms overlook pool and bar area where very loud music is a constant until late at night- no way to escape it except by leaving the hotel! Great for party lovers, not so for the rest of us.

Me and my family had a great time at this hotel. The staff was really friendly and professional always willing to help, the rooms were clean, the entertaining was great, the food was excellent and diversified, the overall organization was really good. We would go back again.

The typical (although larger then) the Mexican hacienda with the appropriate interior decor gives a cosy feeling. Grounds provide an oasis to explore native mexican flora and fauna. Decent size pool and the jacuzzi serve the vacationers well. Spacious room with balcony facing the court yard gives opportunities to relax in private and enjoy the morning cofee, or a quiet time with a book. Variety of choices with buffet style, and a la carte restaurant was good. Friendly staff, eager to please added to overall good experience and impression. One improvement can be in the beach snack bar. Variety of available food was poor and limited.

this smaller resort offers great service and is very clean. The buffet and the beach food was very good but very disappointed in the food at the al carte restaurant. The staff was exceptional. Anyone who has mobility issues should be warned, the room alone had 3 levels.

Friendly employees. Spacious room. Mangos hanging on your balcony. Quiet, clean. Good location right beside ferry terminal. Guests are friendly too. Close to airport too. Inside room there is safe, which is great.

At first when you get there, you think "nice Authentic Mexico resort". That is quickly shattered when you see the rest of the place. The room was adequate, but the resort grounds were very small. The pool was extremely small and had broken tile and one of the other guests warned us that people were getting their feet cut and needing stitches. The swim up bar was surrounded by local young boys who stayed there, drinking All day. I'm only imagining where they went to the washroom. The food was disgusting. My husband was unable to handle the smell of the food and he is not fussy in the least, so this was a shock to me. The so called beach was quite a walk from the resort through some back alleys and past some sketchy buildings where the locals were hanging out. It did not feel safe at all. The "beach club" was supposed to have a snack bar for tourists to get snacks and drinks. It looked like that building had not been used in decades. There was no one working there and no food or drinks to be had. The only positive thing I can say is that Nolitours was very accommodating in helping us find another resort in a hurry the next day. From there, we went to the Royal Decameron and it was Amazing in comparison. I would not recommend the Hacienda Bueneventura. I cannot express that enough.

Rooms were clean and always made up early everyday . Food was good always had a variety. Hot food station was the best Staff was amazing, drinks were ok not great. Beach was surprisingly good had sand no rocks unlike most of the other resorts we walked by. Will go back again
