Room was clean, gardens spotlessly maintained. Enjoyed the pool areas, they were never over crowded and no line up at pool bars. The food was good, but not a great selection and variety. Only one buffet and one a' la carte. Food was a lot better at the a' la carte. No sea swimming. We got a good deal and would return if we got another good deal. Would not pay a high price for this all inclusive.

It was very clean, beautiful grounds, room was awesome. Maid service was fantastic front desk amazing people very helpful. the only thing I would suggest is maybe more selection at the buffet and a the alacart sugn up was a little ridiculous. But all in all good resort .

The food selection was very poor. The one pool was very dirty There really was no WOW at the resort at all. There was only one restaurant which was at the beach for dinner a la carte which was very cold and windy all the time. The selection for dinner was very poor The food at the buffet a lot of it tasted like dish soap as if the pans had not been rinsed. The front counter staff could not answer any questions of where/what to do in town

The hotel grounds were immaculate. The staff was very friendly and outgoing and very helpful. The room was nothing fancy but it was always clean. Overall, a very positive experience for my 14-year-old daughter and myself, as well as my parents.

Holiday inn is very adequate. Do not expect luxury. The rooms are clean, the view is not a sea view, it is peek a boo, but the gardens are very nice. The food is adequate, again not great. You must sign up for the one restaurant each day. The buffet is cold and not very good. The hotel is set quite far back from the sea, so no being rocked to sleep with the sound of the waves.

Firstly, the transfer to the resort was prompt and smooth. There was no heavy push to sell. Yahoo! We were warmly welcomed by the resorts bell hops and front counter staff. The overview given, of the amenities, was both clear and helpful. Our room was simply appointed but clean. A lightbulb was burnt out, over the washstand and our toilet loved to continue to run. ( It seemed strange to me that that would not have been dealt with! In such an arid area as this) However, a simple flick of the plunger would end the wasting of precious agua. Room service was excellent! The maids greeted us warmly and kept the room tidy and spotless. The food at the resort was good. The buffet offered much choice, especially at breakfast. That is when we ate. It was somewhat of a necessity to dine there early, as it was where you had to make reservations for dining at the sole a la carte venue. The waiters, at all of the locations were friendly and their service was outstanding. Two of the standouts for us were; Sotchitl and Dolce. These two went out of their ways to make your dining experience pleasurable. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the entertainment staff. The shows were put on by a minimal crew. The dancers were excellent, but the announcer was brash and repetitive, as were the pools entertainment staff. The same routines were boisterously blared out day after day. The music was annoyingly loud as were the staff’s comments shouted out. Not impressed! The resort’s beachfront was kept clean. Although the water was not swim able, due to dangerous undertows, the beach offered miles of walking pleasure. I witnessed a baby turtle’s struggle to get to the water’s edge and several marine displays. We were given shows by: whales , dolphins and sea lions. Frigate birds and pelicans dove into schools of bait fish. Osprey , egrets and gulls frequented the nearby estuary. At the boca ,or mouth , of the estuary local fishermen cast their nets, with great success! They caught several bait fish and quite a few larger fish. The smallest of these were offered up to people casting nearby. We rode the “chicken buses” into both nearby San Jose and the further Cabos San Lucas. Local inhabitants were accommodating, helpful and friendly. San Jose was only a 20 minute walk from the resort. The town is filled with high end art shops and good eateries. The pace here was more laid back than at the frenetic Cabo. Cabo was a typical hawkers paradise. It seemed that everyone there was on the make. The hard sell there was prevalent. Not my style! All in all, we had a relaxing , rejuvenating stay at a very reasonable price.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort in from November 13 through the 20 on a last minute trip. I was very happy with the resort in general. It is a smaller resort that is very well maintained as far as the grounds and the rooms are concerned. I found the layout of the resort to be nice and easy to get around. The food was good. The buffet was fairly small but all of the food replenished and was kept fresh during mealtimes. Personally, I would have preferred more raw items on the salad bar like beans or legumes but I am being picky. The staff was extremely attentive and very friendly. It is a fairly quiet place but that suited me. I also enjoyed the proximity to the bird estuary for walks next door and was lucky enough to catch the turtle hatching on the property. Another plus was the resort was within walking distance to downtown San Jose Del Cabo. It is a nice town and recommend going out to the Artwalk on Thursday evenings.

Very nice hotel/resort layout! Short walk to all areas ie pools, restaurants and lobby. Would have liked more variety at the buffet restaurant ----- ie ice cream, yogurt and more fruit at lunch and supper time. Cappucinos and regular coffees were really good! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely good value for the price we paid.

Hotel was clean and nice friendly staff. Only had 2 restaurants to choose from so alittle limited for 7 nights. Lots of beach front but unfortunately the time we were there you couldn’t swim in the ocean due to the tide

Excellent choice for holiday with our grand children. Their first experience with a Mexican vacation. This location is almost perfect, the beach is gorgeous and the hotel is a short walk to San Jose del Cabo. The pools were clean and inviting. Staff were excellent and made us feel welcome right away. All inclusive was a great idea to introduce the grand children to various culinary delights. No kidding, there were new foods in the buffet every day. We are accustomed to shortages in Cuba but that never happened here. In front of the hotel,There are horse stables offering riding experiences for all levels of riders. Our grand children had their first horse rides and were very happy. The Swim with Dolphins area is a short drive from the Holiday Inn and was a fun morning for all. We do recommend the Holiday Inn for a family vacation in Mexico. This area is very safe compared to some other Mexican destinations.

Holiday Inn Hotel and Reaort was a wonderful place to stay. The facility was well kept and clean. Our room was always tidied and fresh for when we returned from a day of relaxing by the pools or exploring the area. Staff were always friendly and extremely helpful with all inquiries. The food and drink selection was vast and delicious. More options then I could try! Thanks for having us at your resort, we will be back soon.

If you're looking for a 1.. maybe 2 star resort this might peak your interest... We have been travelling to Mexico every year for the last six years now and I have never been to an all inclusive resort where they don't have resort staff walking around the pools offering drinks. There was one bartender at the Dolphin pool bar (Kids pool) who was incredible (Orlando - Personable, friendly and great drinks). Other than that the other bars weren't very good experiences and made different drinks then what was asked for. The a la carte restaurant was not very good and the "Catch of the day" was quite fishy smelling and not fresh (Ourselves and a few other couples left after dinner to the buffet). Not to mention it is quite cool and windy at night and they don't have portable propane heaters on that patio, only the buffet dining area (which is quite far away from the water so already warmer...) Didn't make for a nice experience when everyone is wearing winter coats and/or blankets at dinner. The buffet is minimal and doesn't have many options especially if you have young kids who don't eat spicy foods or those with lots of sauces. You can however, request a pizza, hot dog, or fries for them (Or unless you want them to eat the fruit loops that are put out for them for dinner...). There were no fresh veggies other than lettuce. However, the morning omelette women were excellent and the omelettes and fried eggs were always great! The fish tacos, pizza, salad, and nachos available at lunch time at the restaurant by the ocean were very good! The rooms are good enough if you're just going to sleep in it as they are very outdated, our toilet leaked and the sink backed up when brushing teeth. (We did notify the front desk of the problem and the staff wasn't helpful as they either couldn't understand what we were saying or pretended not to). We did have a fridge, but they don't stock them with anything. In fact, they aren't even plugged in. We were "Upgraded" to an ocean view room on arrival because they were over capacity for the one we had booked... which is nice and all but not when there is no elevator and you have to pack your stroller up and down 3 flights of stairs with your baby to get to your room on the top floor. (Again we mentioned this to the front desk and they said they didn't have any available ground floor rooms). Is it common to not get face clothes? Again.. I have never stayed in a hotel that didn't provide those. The pools are very cool and not used as much as the pools usually are when you go to Mexico... By our 5th day they had finally increased the temperature in the activity pool but the kids pool is pretty cold. If you're one who likes entertainment this isn't a resort you would enjoy as the entertainment is very minimal. No dinner&show combos nightly like your typical all inclusive resort. No indoor to hold shows like this it seemed.. everything was outside. The thing we did enjoy was the sunshine&blue sky! If you're looking to book an all inclusive it is definitely worth spending a little more to get yourself to a different resort.

We just go back from a wonderful week at the Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos. This is our second time at the resort and we will go back again next year. The rooms are very clean, the food was good and the location is perfect. San Jose del Cabo is a half hour drive north of Cabo San Luscas, in a very quiet and safe area. It took only 20 minutes to get there from the airport, a real bonus. The town square is full of lively restaurants with nightly music. On Thursdays they have an Art Walk which starts at 5pm and goes until 10 pm. Well worth the 20 minute walk from the hotel. The beach provides miles of walking, although not safe for swimming due to strong riptides. The grounds are well maintained and there are plenty of loungers to be found. We even saw whale spouts and flukes from the beach.

The resort was amazing. The pool swim up bar's were very convenient. The staff and how clean they kept the place was impressive. The staff was so friendly. They would help you with anything needed. I'd definitely go back.

A nice friendly clean enjoyable resort . Family friendly with a kids pool , adult pool and swim up bar. The garden view rooms overlooked the pool areas and each had a hamock and own table and chairs. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and very helpful. It is convenient to bus transportation. I would give it a nine out of ten. The beds were comfortable, food was good, entertainment well done, It could use another elevator.

We booked this trip last minute with the primary goal of escaping the cold and wet of coastal BC. We were certainly not disappointed. The grounds were easy to navigate and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the partial ocean view that we booked gave us a great view of the grounds and beach. The food was decent, with a good variety. We LOVED the fish tacos. If you do get sick of the food, town is not too far, with lots of additional options. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend to friends and family :)

Positive side : Extremely clean facility, very nice landscaping, personnel friendly trying hard to please every one. enjoyed the "adult only " pool, the other 2 pools are very noisy. Negative : the food is below average , with the exception of the fish tacos. Menu is monotonous, had to wait one hour to check in because room was not ready, some of front desk personnel needs more training , poor wi fi.

Hotel is a low rise complex with a variety of pools to suit all tastes. Excellent for families and children. Rooms were clean and spacious and the staff were happy and smiled all the time. The grounds were dotted with many gardens tastefully planted with desert plants and flowers. The beach is stunning but the currents make unsuitable for swimming.

The hotel location is pleasant. We enjoyed our ocean view, our room, the gardens and the layout of the resort. The snack bar during the day was good. Some of the servers there were very nice. San Jose del Cabo is a lovely town. We enjoyed being able to walk there. Suggestions: Improve the food. We both became ill eating the buffet food. The evening a la carte menu needs more variety and better choices. The Frutas y flores restaurant is very noisy inside. Have a staff member to assist with seating in the buffets. The one time there was a staff person helping us to find a table, this made it more pleasant than trying to find our own table in a busy restaurant. Frutas y flores seemed understaffed and it took a while for tables to be cleared and coffee to be brought to the table. The music from the main pool is too loud.

wife and I booked a vacation at Holiday Inn Los Cabos Mexico, all was fine till we arrived and my wife wanted an ocean view room instead of garden view, the clerk said it would be an extra $ 60 dollars with no further questions or explanation I agreed to pay for an ocean view room. Room was very nice with a safe that was open, we were not familiar with the how to program the safe and thought it would also be an extra charge to use the safe so didn't bother asking, my wife put her credit cards divers licences and $ 500.00 Canadian under the mattress thinking if someone comes to steal something they would not look under the mattress, instead just grabbing something quickly that is visible and run out. The charge to my visa was just over $7900.00 pesos, not being familiar with the money exchange didn't question it till the next day when I exchanged $ 100 Canadian dollars and received almost $ 1400 pesos, doing the math in my head quickly I concluded the $7900.00 pesos was not equal to nowhere near 60 dollars...the clerk at the desk said the charge was correct for it is 60 dollars a night.. (didn't say that last night) I thought that was too much for my budget and asked the manager if we could go back to garden view room, Manager said they would charge me for the one night and switch rooms, Agreed and said thank you very much.. very honest and nice. when moving out of the room my wife forgot about the money and cards under the mattress, just one hour after we remembered and quickly asked at the desk if we could go back to get the money, we got to the room and it was already made up and clean, there was no money or cards under the mattress. We explained to the manager that the only possible culprit could be the cleaning lady because she is the only person that was in the room since and the only person that would go under the mattress when she tucks the bed sheet under. Manager said not to worry Sir. they would scan the lock to see who all entered the room and security would investigate, we showed the security guard the exact spot where the money was as requested then he started his investigation, he tore the room apart turning over both beds TV stand sofa the fridge and night stands cloths closet, thought that was strange since we should him the exact sport on the one bed. Then we all went back to our new room and he tore that room apart also looking in my wife's purse. Talking to the manager the next day when he informed us that the cleaning lady said she didn't find anything in the room, that we have no proof the money was there, we have no proof the cleaning lady took the money and the hotel's policy is that they are not responsible for guests belongings. Thought the hole fiasco of tearing up the two rooms and whole investigation filling out forms was all for show when that one policy (we are not responsible for guests belongs) wipes out all of the above... I think of my self as a logical person and try to live my life by some king of logic in every situation and I do agree that if the hotel's policy was any different that there would be a lot of fraudulent claims buy your guests and the hotel would go bank-roped very quickly... it would also be very difficult to keep track of everyone's belongings for the hotel so the only protection and logical policy would be ( we are not responsible) so the hotel can not control the guests..... I must add a small amount of people are aware of this policy for if they new hotels are not responsible they would be scared to even travel. But the hotel can control the staff. See the staff knows the hotels policy and know there will be no investigation or reprimand if they are accused of any theft, with that in their mind there is no fear or much thought given when the opportunity to take something arrives. I make $ 500 dollars in two days, the cleaning lady in Mexico has to work a whole month for that so I can see why she would want to keep it... but on the other hand I am sure many other guests leave a tip on the bed every day for them. in my case it was $ 5 dollars. if the employees new that the hotels policy is that if an employee is accused of stealing if the evidence is pointing only to them they would be fired, then when they are faced with a decision of do I keep this $ 500 dollars and risk loosing my $ 30.000 dollar job over this $ 500 dollar. (most people are logical) I think there would be a lot less claims from guests and the hotel would have better rating with lot less negative reviews. in this case the employees are biting the hand that feeds them and making bad reviews for the hotel that they them selves make a living at... knowingly or not. Dear Madam/Sir. judging by the size of your multi Billion dollar company who am I a poor carpenter to tell you what to do, you're obviously in business many years and are making a profit every year and consider the poor reviews not to be that important but given the logical person that I am, if your company is doing so well with bad reviews it would be doing so much better with great reviews... it would not take a great expense to achieve either, just change your policy with your employees. So just thing about this in some kind of logic, you spent over half a million dollars on the locks on the doors to protect the guests and you give master keys to your employees. and your policy gave them free rain for they know there will be no reprimand. ( NOT LOGICAL ) WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOUR REPLY... Vince.

Amazingly friendly staff, everything was very clean, the food was very good excellent selection and again I can't say enough good things about the entire staff. I really like that it was the last resort on the beach so when you went walking and you were away from all of the hotels and resorts which made it very pleasant and give you the effect that you were really truly away from the cities in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The week I was there we did not have all of the restaurants open due to there wasn't that many people in the hotel but what was available was very good the outside barbeques were very nice I would definitely stay in that resort again

The hotel could use a face lift. It was not very busy when we were there. The out door patios really need to clean the bird poop off the chairs and maybe put up some sort of screen around the patios to keep the birds out. The food was terrible. The service in the restaurants was so so. Housekeeping was really good. Close to the town centre and grocery store. The lounge chairs could use a cleaning and repairs. Not sure if we would go there again.

-very clean -staff all very friendly & helpful ( especially sweet Veronica at the front check-in desk) -small entertainment team tried very hard, but you could never really see them because the stage lights were behind them, annoyingly shining right into the audience's eyes, leaving only dark shadows as entertainers. There were also 2 small light sets off to the sides, but they were only LED & offered almost insignificant lighting. A small change to the lighting could be a huge boost to the entertainment because you would actually be able to see them. - other entertainment: none, no disco , no piano bar, or no evening musicians in the lobby - bikes: 4 mornings a week at 9:15 you can go on a guided 1 1/2 hour ride downtown (same tour each day). -Nice ride. Bikes are not accessible other than on these 4 rides with a guide. - internet: wifi accessible around resort from your own device, 2 guest computers available for use in the lobby as well , -all free - 4 pools were nice: A) main, with activities & really loud music B) small, adjacent to main, C) family, with little slide, and D) the wonderfully peaceful adult pool next to the bird sanctuary/estuary , - no hot tub - food: always fresh fruit available at the buffet, breakfast pretty good with a fresh omelet cook & fresh fruit smoothies @ the buffet bar. The buffet dinner however was somewhat like my microwaved leftovers at home. You never went hungry though because it was good enough. There was a menu restaurant by the beach, open a few days a week, that had tastier foods (& soft vanilla ice cream). - rooms: clean with comfy beds. main floor rooms all had a hammock & 2 chairs, 2nd floor had 2 loungers & 2 chairs/table, good size balcony, open on side with neighbour like main floor, & a secluded 3rd floor balcony ( never saw the size). We really recommend rooms in blocks 1 or 2 over looking the adult pool & estuary for peace & privacy for older folks. - beach: okay to walk on but never swim in. The sand was rough on you feet soles. You can walk for hours in either direction -Spectacular sunrises. -Turtles: research area in front of the hotel. In the autumn, the big turtles come ashore at night to lay about 100 eggs, sometimes 15 turtles come at night. Early in the morning researchers dig up the eggs & rebury them in the research area in front of the hotel to hatch in safety. Then they dig them up in the afternoon when the nests have hatched & then safely release the babies into the sea each evening in front of this or one of the nearby hotels. They let the guests help dig up the newly hatched baby turtle & then you can watch them release (about 1000 per night in early November ) into the sea. We are not sure which months, if any, have no turtles though. - Downtown square: about a 20 minute walk or hop on a bus for 12 pesos (about 18 pesos per $USD). There is a Thursday Art Walk with some liveliness about the area. We, fortunately had the Art Walk coinciding with Night of the Dead in Nov 2nd, 2018. The Night of the Dead was so interesting with decorated shrines, lots of good skeleton costumes & skeleton entertainment like dancers & costume competitions, & vendors. - horses: stable across from hotel, $40 USD / hour - bird sanctuary/estuary: - very nice walk, access by hotel & a few other spots along the walk to town - Cabo San Lucas: - is about a 45 minute rural bus ride from San Jose del Cabo for 38 pesos ($2 USD) on the Purple & Yellow bus, which you catch up by the commercial center, maybe 1/2 hour walk from hotel or access by frequent city bus. Cabo San Lucas is busy, with many vendors bugging you. You can catch a water taxi to see the famous rocks for really cheap, about 10 - 20 bucks, with vendors continually asking you along the waterfront. -We chose this resort because of a great deal. We had a great time.

The grounds were beautiful! Staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were a great size but could use a bit of updating. Food was decent, we never left the table hungry. Highly recommend the a la carte. Even though the beach is not swimable, we enjoyed walking along in the sand. Overall great value for the cost!

Nice, very clean, quite resort with very friendly staff. The weakest point of this resort is food quality with very limited selection. Entertainment and daily activities are poor also. Other than that we enjoyed our time there. We strongly recommend this resort for people for who food is not a priority.

To be honest, I was a bit worried about the reviews before we went.... The grounds are absolutely beautiful and well maintained and the beach is huge! We found all the staff be great, as they will go above and beyond to get you whatever you need. The Aqua fit sessions, bingo and other games with Nahum at the main pool, were easy and fun to do with great music. If you like Mexican food, you'll have no problem finding something to eat that is delicious at this sunny resort. The restaurant at the beach was great for a light lunch with an amazing view. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable with 2 pillows, one soft and one firm, located right beside the quiet adult pool & bar, perfect for couples! A short walk into town or to a large grocery store and there is horseback riding close by. You really can't beat this all inclusive resort for the price and it's gorgeous pools, staff and beach. We'll be back for sure.

The hotel overall wasn’t bad , friendly staff, nice beach , two pools , the only down side was the food but what do you expect. Great for the price and the booze tastes good! If you are interested in going to Cabo San Lucas everyday the cabs are 40$ each way so that was a downside also

The employees work very hard here to ensure their guests have a great vacation. This resort is one of the cleanest I've ever seen. The rooms are spacious and spotless. The food is just not really that great and the activities at the pools don't always happen as scheduled. More work needs to be done on menu planning and quality of food. The staff need to do a better job "marketing" the evening events; I would ask some of the staff what was happening and where that evening, and they would tell me nothing was planned, and then I would hear I missed it. The staff in the lunch "a la carte" restaurant need more help, or need to be trained on waiting tables; took too long to order and then sometimes the orders were lost. Pools are older and looking tired, they have steel ladders, as opposed to stairs, and for some older guests, these are hard to manage. Location is great, the city bus is just steps away and this hotel is walking distance to San Jose Del Cabo, Walmart and other sites.

The resort was wonderful, spotlessly clean, great staff. We had requested a ground floor as my husband has mobility issues. Not sure where they originally would have put us but when I asked again for ground floor the registration staff upgraded us with no cost for a wonderful ground floor with nice patio and hammock over looking main pool area. There are three pool areas, main pool with lots of action and music, a family type pool with lots of structures and play things for children and a smaller quiet area for adults with no loud music allowed. Meals were ok the a la cart definitely better. There really should be more eating areas for a resort as large as this one. Also better notices about where things were and what was going on day to day would be advisable. But all in all we loved our time there and would definitely consider going again.

The grounds are very well kept. Rooms were nice, had lounge chairs on deck. Nice view from second floor. Staff were friendly and helpful. Did not like the beach, too much horse manure on the beach. The food was not very good at all. The dining room was too small and if you sat outside there was a lot of bird droppings on the chairs. Too many birds around while you were eating.

Pros: beds and pillows good, enough loungers as hotel not busy. Location good half way to mega or San Jose center. Cons: a/c ok, hotel old, no breeze in lobby or walk ways to rooms. Breakfast good can't go wrong with eggs and toast, not a good variety, no option of champagne and orange juice, juices powered not fresh except one verde juice. Lunch: repeat every day no changes for buffet, the menu at beach restaurant limited but good if you want to eat the same thing every day. Supper was not good, the standard very poor. We are out every meal for supper off resort. No good alcohol being used. Fridges in room not stocked and you have to pay for drinks. Music repeated by pool gets boring. Entertainment non existent for the most part. Closed restaurant when not enough people. Asked people to leave when closing. The staff did not help each other and stayed in there sections. We had to get our own coffee many times. Some servers pleasant others only there for pay check. No team work noticed. The pool man very good at his job. This hotel did not live up to the reviews we read and will not ever stay at a holiday inn again. We will never stay at this one for sure.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Holiday Inn. The service was excellent, the price was the best of the all inclusive hotels, the rooms were clean, the grounds were the best around, the pools were clean, and service at the meal times was superb, the cab service was very good. We have only one comment regarding the buffet meals. The food left uncovered soon became cold.We liked many items but they were cold so we didn't eat them. Metal covers should be placed over all food items to keep them piping hot.

Conveniently located with easy walk to major supermarket, la comier (mega), and the towns main square and local stores. The hotel itself was adequate and functional although a bit dated. Rooms were clean and cleaned everyday although sometimes late in the day. Staff were always friendly and willing to help. The only negative with the room was that we had no kleenex for 3 days. The food was good with a good variety each day, including a wide range of fruits. The beach was not suitable for swimming due to constant undercurrent but it was great to watch the waves The pools were very good with a separate one for adults only away from the noisy children and activity ones

Very clean friendly resort! Staff were excellent from front desk to waiters to bar tenders to cooks to management! Our favourite staff were the activities staff of Allen, Lilly and Nuam( sorry for the spelling). Love the Fire show, Mexican show and Latin show!

Great Resort, friendly staff, comfortable bed. Food was good, pool was excellent. Enjoyed the shows. Close to San Jose and Cabo. Everyone went out of their way to make our first trip to Mexico a great experience.

Hotel was spotless pools clean rooms clean almost all rooms have a view of ocean. Buffet was a little bland for Mexico and most food was just warm unless it just came from the kitchen. No cheeses and a poor bread selection consisting mostly of buns.There is defiantly no swimming in ocean and o the air canada agent said you could walk to a swimming beach in 15 to 20 minutes. I walked for a hour and a half and still didn't make it. Went whale watching and it was great saw 15 or 20 whales.

the grounds were awesome, the people were terrific, the food was ok. We were told 2 years ago that there was going to be, more choices for restaurants. If I had known there wasn't any changes I would have gone somewhere else. we love Cabo but unfortunately we wont go back to Holiday Inn. The main pool was hit and miss on warm or cold, the aduite pool was hot and the "kids pool" was freezing, so over all disappointed

This hotel is right next to a protected bird sanctuary. Perfect for photographers and birdwatchers. The beach is huge, stretching for miles. The food is some of the best I've ever had at an all-inclusive. Fish tacos at the snack bar were outstanding. Room was clean. Lots of hot water in the shower. Did not see or feel a mosquito or cockroach the whole time. Town and shops within walking distance. Thursday nights art walk in the town. Lots of good restaurants if you tire of the hotel food. Pools are heated and comfortable. Evenings at this time of year can be on the cool side. Bring a jacket. Hotel itself is well maintained. Mixed drinks are good quality. A few of the nightly shows were pretty good, particularly the Friday night live band. Beds were very comfortable. Would suggest to management to install small refrigerators and minibars in the rooms. Also the normal problem: people putting towels on the chairs early and denying others the availabilty of a place to sit.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Cabo for one week. It was a very clean, comfortable, centrally located hotel which was very well maintained. The hotel is older however the grounds, beach, 3 pool areas, restaurants and facilities are great. You can not swim in the ocean however other beaches are available close-by. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and very polite. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to San Jose which is worth visiting. Definitely a hotel I would stay at again.

Check in was very fast and the girls at the front desk are very helpful and knowledgable. No problems what-so-ever! The grounds at this resort are beautiful. 4 pools...an adult pool that is around the other side of the hotel making it very private and quiet. The activity pool, a kiddie pool and a family pool, all very clean and very nice. We had a poolfront lanai room, (nice spacious room with GREAT beds) facing the adult pool, which I would highly recommend, they have a hammock and table and chairs and a very short walk to the pool. This is a very quiet resort and there really isnt alot to do there if you want to party. You would need to go into town or to Cabos San Lucas. They do offer a pub crawl on certain nights. But we enjoyed the relaxing quiet atmosphere. The beach chairs are VERY far from the ocean and the sand is rocky and not so nice to walk in. BUT if you are going to Cabo you know the ocean is off limits except for certain cove areas. The food was good, not always hot at the buffet but very good in the ala cart restuarant. Victor is THE BEST EVER server and can speak perfect english. The staff are are very very friendly, never grumpy or rude. Right outside the gates of the hotel is a horse rental place. $40 for an hour on the beach ride. The horses are in great shape and Edwardo is a very friendly nice guide. Do this if you get a chance....amazing galloping in the water down the beach!! I would recommend this resort but keep in mind it is a quiet resort, I am 50 and I was one of the younger people in the crowd.

We were a family of 8 adults and 1 toddler visiting the Cabo area over Christmas and this resort met our needs. We expected to pay more over Christmas. Grounds and all areas of hotel were very clean, although rooms are getting a bit worn, especially bathroom tiling. Staff are very friendly and cannot do enough for you. The drawback at this location is that the beach is not swimmable but there are 2 beaches nearby that we enjoyed swimming at...one a half hour walk a way and the other a 10 minute taxi ride away. Despite the Christmas season, we found this to be a relatively quiet resort as entertainment shut down by about 10:30. We frequented the a la carte restaurant for the most part and found it to be satisfactory. We did the omelette station for breakfasts. One does tend to get tired of the buffet. With 2 restaurants, we would consider dining options to be limited but we made it work for us, with the occasional meal off resort.

OK overall, food was OK, bars all shut down by 12. Beach pretty much useless and unswimmable. If you are going to the Baja for further or nightlife.. Better off staying in Cabo San Lucas as San Jose Del Cabo is super sleepy. Staff very friendly

This hotel is well maintained and staff are helpful and friendly no matter your concern. Food was very tastefully presented and we enjoyed every meal to its fullest. Grounds are very enjoyable to just relax in or wonder around -

Never having been to that area of the world I went with no bias either way. I read a ton of revues and almost all of them were good, with a few nay sayers. I am totally happy with my time there. The resort was basically wiped out by the hurricane last fall and this resort has staged an amazing come back. When we arrived, our room wasn't ready, so the man behind the reception desk was so apologetic that we got transferred from a partial ocean view smaller room to a full ocean view suite with two bathrooms, one with a jacuzzi, two large screen tv's, and a full living room. The renovation to the suite were just finishing up, so at first we had no safe, the jacuzzi tub had no shower head, and there was even no toilette paper. But as soon as we called, within 15 minutes a staff person would show up and fix our "problem". Every day as you walked your area, one of the staff would ask if your enjoying your stay, and if there was anything they could help with just ask. Three of the restaurants were still under repair , but the other two changed their menus every day, and all of the meals were delicious. Even the hamburgers were excellant. The layout of the pools really impressed me. The kids pool looked great for young families, the swim up bar was suited for active partiers, and for us more reserved oldies, the adult pool was off to a quiet area, with a wonderful little bar, and it was so nice to just sit, drink and socialize. Then to top it off the nature preserve estuary was next to the resort for a beautiful stroll, with turtles, pelicans, and cranes. A twenty minute walk took us into the cultural core of San Jose del Cabo, a quieter, laid back town, with great bars, food, and shops. Try the 'Retro Bar" its a blast. Finally we took a cab to Cabo San Lucas, walked around. Its much faster paced, catering to a more partying crowd, where we had supper at the "The Office", a restaurant on the beach that is an experience you won't forget. It was a total pleasure.

If you have a family or are retired I suppose this would be an ok resort but be forewarned that they roll up the carpet at 10 and the staff are less than friendly. Also be warned that you are at the end of the hotel zone so if you want to go into town you'll be paying for transportation. The west wing was annoying to get to and there is no elevator. This was my 6th trip to Mexico and this was resort scored the lowest of the low. There is zero night life. Front desk staff are not helpful and the bar staff are terrible. If you want a vacation that will numb your senses, stay here. The ONLY positive thing about the resort was the patio of the room. We asked to be transferred and eventually were 3 days later. We paid the difference and ended up at Barceló which was a more enjoyable stay. I would suggest you spend the extra and avoid the frustration of a 1 star resort because that's really what it is. Our saving grace was the WestJet representative 'Rosa' who was helpful in getting us relocated.

I was very happy with this resort! It felt like a brand new resort! After the hurricane everything has been redone. The food was fantastic. There is a quite pool and a kids/activities pool. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean. If u enjoy swimming in the ocean - then this ia not the place for u. There were many workers working on getter more parts of the resort operational. Los Cabos needs the tourists to come back - tourism is their main resource. I highly recommend the Holiday Inn

It was our first stay in Los Cabos and overall our trip was great but there was some good and some things Holiday Inn need to work on. 2 weeks prior to our trip we received an email stating that the tennis courts would be shut down which was no big deal and when we arrived we found out we were given a free room upgrade to a partial ocean view with balcony which was amazing! Soon we found out though that it was not just the tennis courts that were shut down but 50% of the resort was under repair due to the hurricane. I was slightly miffed by this as I felt they were dishonest by not disclosing this prior to our departure as we were expecting a lot more of the facilities to be available. All the staff at the hotel was super friendly and so I brushed it off because they are recovering from the 2nd worst hurricane in the history in Mexico and every single day we saw how hard they worked and the improvements that were made each and everyday to the hotel and grounds. Just to note at what was available: 2 of 3 pools 4 out of 8 bars 1 Buffet restaurant 1 Beach Snack bar (which turned into a makeshift a la carte restaurant at night, not requiring reservations but was only open some nights we never knew when) Room Service was free but the rooms didn't have menus which made it difficult to know what was available to order. When I tried to call our phone was broken so I ended up having to go to the front desk to order. What is closed: The Spa The Tennis courts All of the a la carte restaurants and we didn't figure this out until I tried to make reservations (something that perhaps should have been communicated during check in) Entertainment was small and took place in the middle of the buffet restaurant on the outdoor patio. It took place some nights and not others but again you never knew until that night. The Rooms: The King size bed was incredible comfortable and we both had fantastic sleeps The whole room was super clean all the time The shower was roomy but either scalding hot or super cold We wish there was a fridge in the room for snacks and cold beverages including cold water. Balcony was big and nice The Food: For the most part was decent but sometimes had weird choices. Breakfast was definitely the best, omelettesm bacon, sausage, waffles, french toast, pancakes, hashbrowns, muffins, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, etc. For 90% of the time the service was fast and efficient but other days the waiters seemed slightly disorganized forgetting your order or having longer than normal wait times. Honestly I would love to go back in a year's time and really see how this hotel operates at 100% because I think many of their issues are directly related to the hurricane recovery.

Rooms were clean grounds were okay despite construction going on, half the resort was closed due to the hurricane, which was unknown to us. There wasn't alot of food choices, 1 buffet and one A La Cart was surprised to see that. Was not impressed with this trip other than the weather.

This was our first time to Cabo. Absolutely loved it! Hot & super sunny! This hotel Is super close to San Jose! A beautiful little town! Close enough to ride a bike or walk! The hotel was clean! Food was overall good! Staff is very friendly! Always making rounds by the pool for drink orders!

Rooms were roomy and comfortable. Very nice grounds. Food was good as was the entertainment. Had a great holiday!Would go back again and take the grandchildren. Would be a great place to have them.Loved walking the beach.

We travelled to this resort with our two older sons and were concerned that they would be bored due to the location. Not to be they had lots of excursions to take as well as an organized bar crawl to Cabo San Lucas we Mark enjoyed. The hotel site and village were extremely clean and all the vendors in town were very friendly and not pushy as in some other locations in Mexico.

Our stay here was great. Would have been even better if there was actual night life there. The resort seemed to close down by 11 pm. Only one bar open made for long line ups and the evening entertainment was a woman singing in a corner. Had to go off the resort to have a good time. Over all it was great

Fantastic staff...great hotel...clean...but found mostly older people there...and a little too quite after 7 pm...food was okay...breakfast being my favorite...however the absolute best location to walk into San Jose del Cabo...we took the local bus and also city bus into Cabo...beautiful place.

Close to town, comfortable accommodations, variety of pools and dining areas. Children's area as well as adult pool for quiet relaxation. For solo female traveller this was an area that I was very comfortable in and met many people for socializing with. This hotel catered to mature age groups as well as young families. Staff helpful, variety of foods at buffets, liked a la carte menu choices. Entertainment most evenings. Enjoyed proximity to beach for walking and nature park next door to hotel. Musts to do- Thursday night Art Walk in town and Saturday market. Short bus ride to town if don't want to walk.

The stay was pleasant enough. We were disappointed that we had such a minimum choice of eating places. We realize we were in the off season but maybe this could be mentioned when booking. Would we come back ; give us the garden room and we are in. Thanks. The staff was great.
