I love this resort even more than I did 20+ years ago. The staff are truly amazing and work so hard to make your trip perfect. The beach is clean and calm, the pools are phenomenal. The views don’t get any better. The long winding drive to the resort is worth it. Highly recommend!

Sandals Halcyon St. Lucia is a small boutique hotel, with a narrow strip of real estate property, but well used, close to the highway and a small fishing village. The grounds were impeccable, with beautiful flowers and luscious tropical plants everywhere. It has 3 lovely pools everyone can access, the Sunset pool (main pool), the Quiet Pool in beside Kimono's restaurant, and the Walking Pool (Crystal Lagoon). There are comfy/quiet seating and napping areas all around the resort (such as a firepit seating). There are 6 restaurants, 2 of which require reservations: Kelly's Dockside, Bayside (International Buffet breakfast and lunch, and a French restaurant at night), Kimonos (Japanese), Soy (sushi) , Mario's (Italian) restaurant and the Beach Bistro (for lunch and late snacks plus take-out). Spa services are available through Red Lane Spa on site. There is no shortage of loungers on the beach and by pools, but prime spots are scooped up by those with butlers, so it is good to have an early riser in your party! The resort is only 15 minutes or $15/person ($30 one way) into the port of Castries to visit the markets. Tours and on-site events organized by Sandals are plentiful and tastefully done. There is drink service at each pool and at the beach. Don't be surprised if a waitress remembers your party's name and drink order by day 2! Bars are stocked with Scotch, Vodka, Rum, Gin, and the fridge daily with Piton beers, a selection of Robert Moldovi wines, as well as water and soft drinks. Coffee and tea are also provided in room. House cleaning occurs every day is never missed! Drycleaning services are also provided.

The grounds were just stunning! The lazy river was surrounded by tropical vegetation. Felt like we were in the garden of Eden! Always room at the pools, hot tubs and beach! A very intimate resort with very nice restaurants. Kelly's Dockside had such a nice ambiance and the food at Bayside was always good! We were a bit surprised with the lack of fresh fruit. Staff was very friendly!

My boyfriend and I travelled to Sandals Halcyon in March 2019. For reference, we are in our early 30s and are experienced travelers in the Caribbean. As this was our first Sandals experience, we were excited to see “the Sandals difference” – especially considering the price tag. The positive: the service is definitely above the average all-inclusive resort, even in comparison to other 4-5 star properties. Staff are very well-trained to be extremely responsive and attentive. Our tub drain was not plugging properly, and the maintenance staff were at our room within 5 minutes of calling the front desk. Problem solved immediately! It was also very, VERY refreshing to not be expected to tip (although we did leave tips for a few exemplary staff). The negative: The Halcyon beach, in comparison to the Sandals Grande St. Lucian, left something to be desired. Still, a beach in the Caribbean is nothing to complain about! It just wasn’t nearly as nice as the beach at the Grande. As well, this resort is VERY MUCH geared towards retirees. There were very few guests within our age group. Because of this, the nightlife was essentially non-existent. This is a great resort if you’re looking to simply relax and not necessarily looking have a lively social experience. All-in-all, we had a really amazing vacation! However, if we were to return to a Sandals in St. Lucia, we would definitely select the Sandals Grande.

We have been to Sandals Halcyon 7 times, since 2000. The resort is wonderful because of the staff and smaller size. Renovations are complete now and give it a very fresh feel. The food,beach,pools and drinks are everything we ever wanted from a resort.Our agent Nicole Deforest was so helpful and friendly for our last booking, we used her again for our next trip. Tripcentral has the best prices and service!

The Grounds were beautiful, the room was very nice and clean and fully re stock and clean daily, the food was very tasteful, we usually have issues finding something to eat but here we had no issues at all, food was fantastic, the service was great. This is probably one of the best places we ever been and will definitely like to go back. It was a week we will always remember. :)

This was a lovely hotel - beautiful grounds, nice restaurants, comfortable rooms. The food was better than we had previously experienced in the islands. It was a quiet resort, which is what we were looking for and if one wanted more activities, one could visit the other two Sandals on the island. Staff were friendly, courteous and efficient. On the down side - the beach is really small, and with the usual resort game of saving lounges with towels, it was hard to get a shaded spot unless you were on the beach early in the morning. This is a common problem with all resorts and cruise ships too. The resort advertises included premium liquors, the online photo showing several brands including Crown Royal, and claims they are available in the in room bar. However, when we requested Crown Royal, it came with a $43USD charge. Our major complaint was the housekeeping standard in our room. The first morning the room was cleaned as we expected in a resort of this calibre. After that day however, it was not properly cleaned. Bathroom garbage was not emptied, floors not swept, counters, taps and mirrors not wiped and towels not restocked and bedsheets were never changed, empty Kleenex was not replaced and the soak tub on the balcony was not cleaned. When we complained a second time about deficiencies, we were told the regular housekeeper was sick and a part time person had been doing it. This is no excuse. Granted, complaints about towels missing were responded to almost immediately but it was unpleasant having to complain in the first place. We didn't complain to the desk about the deficiencies - we probably should have but didn't want to be the bitchy tourists, and kept hoping that the next day would be better so we didn't give the resort a chance to remedy the problem

Expected so much more from a Sandals , would never recommend . Two very bad restaurants , one OK , one quite good . Entertainment , pathetic , performed in a doorway . Quite a construction sight , did the workers have to start so early ?

The grounds are lush, park like and immaculate. The beach is beautiful and the staff cannot do enough for you. The food is excellent. It was fun to visit the other Sandals properties. If you want to be surrounded by beauty and luxury in a quiet paradise setting then the Halcyon is a great choice.

Our trip to Sandals Halcyon, Feb 16-23 2017, was an incredible experience. From the moment we turned off the busy, hectic street in St Lucia life seemed to stand still. Our butlers, Davina and Claudia, absolutely took care of us. Whether it was preparing our intinerary to letting us back in our room after a late night tranquility pool dip or nursing my hangover on the beach, they were exceptional examples of high service staffing. The food was great and we highly recommend Mark at the sushi station. Shari, Shani (sic) were great ladies to spend time with at the pool bar. As much as we loved Chewy we did find it imposing that on the first day he was hitting us up to rebook at this resort or others. I experienced this at the Bahia Principale resorts and found it off putting. Once I reviewed his quotes to us I was able to see some flaws in the pricing. The next time he approached us, once again as we drank and socialized, my husband discussed the pricing with him. Chewy agreed that his quotes did not include air flight, prices were in CDN but would convert to US funds and the stay was only 5 days not the 7 we always book for. Unfortunately, everybody sitting with us heard this conversation also and realized maybe early booking is not cost effective for Canadians. As much as the advertising implies that ALL is exclusive at Sandals I found that not to be the case. On day 2 we had the spa ladies approach us, as we were enjoying our time, and talk about some personal therapy. I was not interested but between the girls and my husband I agreed to a manicure. I hate that stuff but ok. When I got the $ 50.00 bill I was pissed!! When I questioned it nobody ever explained. And I bet it's in USD funds too! I enjoy local vendors on sight but was once again disturbed at the prices and the labels on the clothing were not local. The dresses I saw on sale poolside were 7 times more expensive than what I have purchased at other high end resorts. As Canadian funds do not seem to get respect as real currency I was disappointed that no funds conversion was done at front desk. Never seen this before and it did effect our tipping out for staff unfortunately. BUT these issues did not effect our enjoyment level at all!! I think the grounds were incredible, the room choices, no matter where they were, offered a unique view. Kane, who stopped by regularily, was a great source of information, whether it was daily maintenance updates or lugging our baggage about. Very nice young man. So thank you to Sandals Halcyon and staff for a great time!

The resort is perfect for honeymooners and couples who want to relax and spend time together. The grounds are gorgeous and the service is fantastic. Lots of options for excursions and free water sports. The beach has a lot of room, you don't have to get up at the crack of dawn for a seat. Everything was perfect and we would love to go again!

We have vacationed here 5 times and love it so much we will return again. The staff are so friendly and the vibe is relaxing and cool. We've come to know the beach vendors and love to talk to them as well as buying their crafts. The restaurants are some of the best we've experienced in all inclusives. St. Lucia is a magical island that everyone should experience.

Facility was very nice, food was horrible, service was a joke! Rude staff, broken promises on honeymoon offer. Money grab right from the time we arrived. Beggers on the beach 24/7 annoying guests. food was sub standard. I am not one of those who conplain about every little thing, this was a complete disappointment.

This resort was beautiful, small and was a place to really enjoy your time as a couple. If you are looking for peace and quiet Sandals Halcyon is the place for you. This was the first time since our honeymoon 26 years ago that we were able to go away on our own and we really enjoyed being a couple again. Very romantic and the grounds are beautiful. The staff are very friendly and will go out of there way to make your stay enjoyable. This is one of the older sandals resorts in St Lucia and the rooms could use a bit of up dating but they were very clean and to me that's important. The food was fantastic. l found a lot of healthy choices which was important to us we like to eat healthy. l would of liked to see more seafood on the menu as we are fish lovers. The best part is when you stay at one sandals in St Lucia you can visit the other 2. We did visit the other 2 but it was always nice to come home to the Halcyon. We did a full day excursion JOE KNOWS hands down was a lot of fun and you got to see beautiful St Lucia. We also did the Romantic Dinner on the beach a must do as well worth the $ . Overall we had the time of our lives. Thank you Halcyon for our week in Paradise. One day we will return for sure.

We had an amazing time on our honeymoon! I don't usually travel well but it was a great time! The food was excellent, the activities were fun, staff very friendly and a very quiet relaxing place to be! It was a small resort but you had access to the busy resorts close by for free. Because it was small we got to meet a bunch of nice people :) I would go again in a heartbeat :)
