this was a nice family resort. the best part was the location and being able to walk to restaurants and shopping. arriving at the airport there was no transportation there to get us to the hotel when it was supposed to be included. it cost me $50 for a cab and i was given a hard time to get the bus back to the airport. my biggest issue was being placed beside a night club that played pounding awful music every night until 2 am so loud my room shook. when asked to move i was told they didn't have anything else available. i didn't sleep at all and came home exhausted.

We spent a week vacation at Holiday inn, the staff was super friendly , we really enjoyed the place, the food is amazing, the chef came to see us during souper time and made us feel like home. The location of the hotel is great also, the beach is beautiful!!! Thanks to our travel agent Tanya Smith to help us and find us a dream vacation!!!

Just came back three days ago from an amazing trip in Aruba. It is our first time in Aruba and we just loved it. Although Holiday Inn is just your average hotel/resort, it met our needs. The room is very clean, the resort itself is kept tidy at all times. We did not take the all-inclusive which we thought was the right decision because we tried out different restaurants every day and have not been disappointed. The place is very safe and we even felt safe when we walked the beach at 9:30-10:00 at night. I will surely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

This was my second say at the holiday inn. It was as I remembered it to be. Pool area was nice. Food was very good. Just wish that they keeped the buffet for lunch and dinner. That would have been nice. The rooms in the main tower could be renovated so they look better. Over all good experience.

I have vacationed at this Resort before hence was expecting great service . There were a lot of things that exceeded my expectations namely the food , house-keeping staff and service at the restaurants. Unfortunately, check -in experience was disappointing . It was slow and of poor quality . One person in particular was rude and unhelpful . That initial contact almost ruined the day. Martin , the assistant manager intervened and resolved our room assignment . Another area that was of concern was related to beach hut assignment . The system used was hit and miss lottery. It is a waste of time and does not ensure fairness of first come first serve . That again required management intervention and Kevin was very helpful

The Holiday Inn Aruba is located on a beautiful beach which is easily accessible. The pool is right by the beach and the outdoor area is gorgeous. It is a great resort for families. Staff in the restaurants and bars were always very friendly and eager to help. Rooms are clean but they are old. It is not a fancy hotel but it is clean and you can't beat the beach and pool area. We would stay there again.

This is the second time we have stayed at this resort. The grounds, pool and beach area are beautiful and one would say one of the nicest on the Island. They are very generous with their liquor when making drinks and the food is plentiful and very tasty. The rooms are nice however we had issues the 1st night when we arrived with bugs in the room. Not 100% sure as to what type but I had my suspension . When we call the front desk they were more then accomdating and moved us to another tower that morning. They were very apologetic and sent a bottle of wine with a cheese platter to say sorry. This is a good resort however i would be open to trying another location. Do your homework and read reviews before you go and suggest to stay in the ocean tower.

The grounds are great, ocean and sand are clean, beautiful and well maintained. Staff are very friendly. Food is delicious and always fresh. Recommendations: Palm and Ocean tower rooms need to be updated and the carpet must be removed. They are very dated and muggy!! As for the restaurants, Davinci's should be open every evening to give guests a third choice. Pools and hot tubs could also use a refresh Activities: More activities at the pool would be great. There were no activities at the beach so any would be welcomed.

Great food ,great service ,great location and most important great price this hotel is located on a beautiful beach and across the street from shops restaurants and a movie theatre Rooms are ok and there are lots of places to eat

The rooms were clean and well kept and staff were very friendly. The beach was great. The only thing I would complain about is that the buffet was not open for lunch because as we were told by staff that the hotel did not have enough people staying there at this time. Also at the main restaurant there we some items you had to pay for, just seems strange since we paid for all inclusive. Same menu for seven day which got a little boring.

The food was delicious! Service was excellent the staff really took good care of you. Always pleasant and very helpful. The sitting area beside the ocean was very nice to sit and have some refreshments. The beachfront was very nice right out side the hotel.

The hotel was very clean you could see employees constantly cleaning areas. The room were good comfy beds no complaints there. Food was good . Overall the only thing that was a bit inconvenient was reserving a hut for the next day.

Our room was very nice, tastefully decorated, comfortable and very clean. The grounds were very well kept and of all the resorts the Holiday Inn was the only one that groomed the sand in the beach area.

The hotel is located on a beautiful strip of the beach though the water is milky in this area. The hotel is well set up for small children. While we could always find something to eat, the food is terrible. The buffets were less than mediocre and nothing was ever warm.

We have stayed at this resort with family and friends many, many times before the updating and have always enjoyed the friendly staff and climate. The updating of the facilities have made it even more enjoyable. For example, the new front desk for one thing is a refreshing change as is the water station directly across from it. The updated Ocean Bar with wide screen t.v. viewing (for late afternoon) is great, updated garden furniture in the gazebos, hammocks, etc. are all welcome changes. Gardens & pool areas are maintained nicely. All staff members are amazing - they want you back and show it - especially the bar servers and managers in the various restaurants. The 3rd pool by the Sea Tower and the fitness area inside the tower are great. Now a few things that bothered my wife and I: we would not recommend to couples of our age at this time of year (2 wks. mid Feb.) as many of the children are out of school & run wild and are not wonderfully disciplined by their parents. Will try to come back in Jan. next year.) The other point has to deal with surcharges for certain drinks (6.50 U.S. for Buds & 7.00 for Heineken. Right across the street there's a store where you can get them for 3.50 - 3.75. Find out where the locals go and get them even cheaper. Certain items on the menu carry a 10 - 12.00 surcharge (grouper, sole) The twist here is these surcharges apply if you are on the all-inclusive plan but not the others. HUH? Anyway, we'll come back. Sorry for the negative items but we would not be honest otherwise. We would recommend this hotel for travel at other times of the year than we chose.

My Husband and I just returned from 1 week holiday at Holiday Inn Sun Spree in Aruba. It is the 4th time we stayed there and loved it. The renovations are complete and they have done a remarkable job. I like this place because every one is friendly. The resort is very clean , the food is good and the best beach location. See you next year....

We have just returned from Aruba after spending an amazing week at the Holiday Inn Resort. We stayed as a family (9 of us) and enjoyed it immensely. My three young grandchildren spent hours in the ocean which was so safe and beautiful and everyone did fun things like a three-hour snorkeling trip, ATV rides to discover the desert and rugged side of the island and walks out into the town at night. Although the Holiday Inn Resort is perhaps a little smaller than some resorts we didn't want for anything. The rooms were comfortable (partial ocean view), the food was amazing and plentiful and the staff so friendly and helpful. I have never stayed at such a clean place, even the beach washrooms were spotless. We loved Aruba and enjoyed being at the Holiday Inn and I know I will return again one day! My one and only negative comment is the menu in the Seabreeze Restaurant. Although the food was delicious, we felt the menu should have been rotated each day for more variety - especially with three vegetarians in our party as the vegetable curry was really the only choice. A great vacation!

Our October stay at the Holiday Inn Resort Aruba was perfect. The rooms were beautifully renovated, the staff was exceptional and the beach location was stunning! The proximity to shops and restaurants on the Main Street added to our experience, providing opportunities to wander and enjoy the island ambiance away from the resort.

Second time in Aruba which we love... First time staying at the Holiday Inn. Had great time very family oriented which is great cause we went with our 2 year old son who is none stop and made plenty of friends. Rooms are average they say the entire hotel is renovated I don't believe it is... The new side is i think it's called seaside(name is prob wrong). Breakfast is average they need more options you get tired of the same thing after 1week... We'd would defiantly go back...great family resort!!

nice holiday but poor food choices at the time under renovations excellent weather all year round , our room was very nice and clean, resort was close to shopping and dinning manny choices . Price was a bit high for the standard of holiday inn i was expecting.

The only downside for this place is a lot of kids (if you are looking for the quiet place). But frankly you will find a lot of people everywhere. Rooms are quiet, no noise. Location is perfect. Beach is excellent

The resort was clean and big enough. The restaurants were good. For a Holliday Inn it was a place I would recommend. Good location. At night in the outside restaurant they had music which was enjoyable. The bar by the pool was good for snacks and lunch.
