The atmosphere is beautiful. I love how accommodating and friendly the people at the hotel. The food good but not too great! The pool is clean, the beach is great! Overall, 9/10 ??? will definitely come back!

We recently stayed at Catalonia Royal Tulum and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The resort is beautiful, with a stunning beach, well-maintained grounds, excellent food, and friendly staff who made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere was relaxing and perfect for a getaway. We especially enjoyed the beach, the variety of restaurants, and the overall service provided by the resort team. A special thank you to Shannon Aishford, who helped us book this trip. She was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and made the entire booking process smooth and stress-free. Her recommendations were spot on, and thanks to her assistance we had a wonderful vacation experience. We would definitely recommend Catalonia Royal Tulum to anyone looking for a relaxing adults-only resort in Mexico and would happily return in the future.

The nature surrounding the hotel is probably the only aspect that fully meets expectations. The property truly feels like a jungle: monkeys, coatis, capybaras, and squirrels freely move around the grounds. The walk to the pool and lobby feels like a stroll through a natural park, which is definitely one of the strongest points of the resort. We stayed in a Privileged Club room in the “renovated” section. In reality, the renovation feels very basic and cosmetic, and it does not address some underlying issues. In our bathroom, there was visible mold on the mirror, weak water pressure in the shower, and an unpleasant sewage-like smell, which may be related to plumbing issues. For a hotel positioned at this level, this was disappointing. Service, however, is largely driven by the staff, who genuinely try their best. Reception, beach service, and housekeeping teams work very well. Special mention goes to the reception staff and the main restaurant team. Room cleaning was also consistently good, and there are no complaints regarding the staff themselves. At the same time, it felt like the hotel may be operating with a reduced number of employees, especially during the low season, which seems to affect overall efficiency and service flow. The beach is another strong point — it is beautiful, clean, and seaweed is regularly removed, which keeps it in excellent condition. The main drawback is the food. In our experience, it does not meet the standards of a higher-category resort and feels closer to a 3-star level. Breakfast lacks some expected premium items such as smoked salmon, and meat dishes and steaks were of low quality and not well prepared. After speaking with other guests, this impression appears to be quite common. Overall, the hotel markets itself as a premium property, but in reality, it feels more like a mid-range resort. The nature and parts of the service are strong, but the room quality and food significantly lower the overall experience.

Booked with Sunwing, operated by WestJet. Non-smoking resort. Received emails from Sunwing, travel docs and QR code for transfer from Sunwing but check-in was done via the WestJet app. Easy. Sunwing also sends links to pay the entry fee but only a few days before. I like to have everything ready so I would have liked it to be sent sooner. The Cancun airport is a mess. Took over an hour to get our luggage, they changed carousels on us without updating the boards, we knew from the murmurs occurring. The hotel transfer was a disorganized mess. Waited in one huge line just to be told to wait in another smaller line. Finally one of the reps got us on a bus. Was very I organized. Total airport time - 3hours. We still had a 1.5hour ride to the hotel. Hotel check-in was nice. Fresh juice, cold towel. Hotel check-out was shady. Had to pay the environmental fee which they advised when we arrived but they did not provide change - even though I paid in pesos and had changed bills a few days before. Staff are super friendly especially at the beach buffet. Lots of wild life running around, across the paths, in the tress. Room was on the 3rd floor so lots of steps and no elevator. Room was clean, lots of towels, including beach towels. Fridge packed with drinks and snacks. Bottles of water a plenty. Being in building 1, room was loud to traffic noise and can hear wild life from the door. Also looks a bit dated but not grungy or stuffy. Pool was nice. Too warm on some days but clean. Activities ar the pool. Beach was soft sand and clean. Lots of chairs available. Water was rough because it was windy that week but when it was not windy water was clearer and wavy. There was beach beverage service, they came by often. There was some sargassum but the hotel staff was constantly ensuring it was cleaned off the beach. Food/restaurants. The food at the beach restaurant is good for both breakfast and dinner. It closes at 3pm and you have to make a reservation for one of the specialty restaurants for dinner. There are 6 of them but if you don’t like the food there is only the 24hr room service. Entertainment was good. There is an information sheet in the lobby of your building. The list does not say if the event is taking place in the lobby or by the pool. Bars are at the lobby and pool. The bar at the pool changes hours. Sometimes it closes at 9pm other times 2am but no listing as to when that is. There are 6 buildings to total. The exclusive club members get building 6 which is by the beach. There are staff that ask often to join the Exclusive club and take part in an hour timeshare like discussion.

We spent 10 days at this resort in February and really enjoyed our stay. The pool and beach were absolutely beautiful. The staff were so kind, friendly and always helpful. The food in the restaurants were good but certainly not over the top delicious. We enjoyed the entertainment provided and the staff always try to keep people engaged and entertained. The room was good but very dark as we were on the bottom floor. We did book a couple of excursions through the concierge but discovered that their service was much more expensive than booking elsewhere. We noticed one excursion to be $60 less per person through the trip advisor site. Because of the remoteness of this hotel we felt somewhat trapped unless we took a cab or had the tour company pick us up at the hotel. Cabs are ridiculously expensive. We enjoyed the all inclusive, adults only experience but again, it would be nice if this hotel offered daily shuttles twice a day to Tulum or other towns instead of booking a cab.

Beautiful, laid back adults only experience, with fantastic food - and a stunning beach. Super friendly staff and gorgeous grounds in the jungle, animated by lively Coati (and other mammals, marsupials and even an occasional monkey!) Go “Priveledged” for access to the fantastic B’Loved Restaurant at the beach

The only issue I had was that the security didn’t not enforce guests smoking. It’s not fair to have to ask security to get people to not smoke around others. The staff were great, entertainment was amazing and food was good. The pool and beach were fabulous

This adult only resort is great for couples, not so much for groups. They have a policy that they cant seat more than 6 people together. Our group was 9 and they split us up all the time. We couldn't understand and after a lo g conversation with Joseph (concierge by the pool) we finally were able to be together on our last 2 days. Within our group we had a few concerns and issues in the rooms which took a few days to sort out. Things that could have been dealt with immediately and weren't. I will say, the food was very good! All the a la cartes and the buffet. Entertainment is late in the evenings. Most people are heading to bed. Pool bar was fantastic. The guys were great. Both the Tequila Bar and the Margarita Bar were good as well. The Rauxca show was good. Food great. The beach was probably the best part. Absolutely ?

It’s fair the people were great food was good service and maintenance. Very poor had no water in the room. Maintenance was very, very slow to attend to the situation did not like the fact there was no buffet at night every day you were forced to book à la cards every night

We loved our vacation. The food, room and staff were amazing. This was my second visit to the Catalonia Royal Tulum and it was as great as the first time. We upgraded to Privilege because of Beloved and other perks and it did not disappoint. I will booking this resort again very soon.

We were very happy with this resort. We especially liked the size. We felt the resort was exceptionally clean. The staff are very friendly and professional. We liked that the resort was eco friendly. The food was good and they provided Gluten Free options.

I highly recommend this resort for anyone who is looking for a chill and relaxed resort in a tropical jungle like setting with great food and wonderful people who are always go that extra mile for your comfort. The food was great. We loved the food choices as we are both vegetarians, we had no issues as they had quite a variety. The beach was mostly windy, but we still enjoyed spending time in the ocean with the waves and at the pool. The spa is a must.. we went for a couples’ massage and loved it. Thank you for a wonderful week!

The Catalonia Royal Tulum is a beautiful resort carved out of the jungle and situated on one of the most beautiful beaches, Xpu-Ha, pure white sand and crystal clear water. We were attracted to this resort for several reasons, the location, it's size and the fact that it is adults only. The grounds, buildings and facilities are immaculate. The staff have definitely been trained to deliver exceptional customer service in all areas of the resort. Plenty of selection for dining options and open air dining, including the Palapa, outdoor patio at Sorrento and Tao Cat restaurant. The beach and the pool area are pristine, with plenty of loungers, services and activities. Guests love the bar in the Palapa and swim up bar. The lobby is a great place to chill in the evening often with entertainment and another great bar Margaritas. It was hard to leave this piece of paradise, we will definitely return.

The room was great, grounds beautiful. Staff are so friendly and helpful. They are also knowledgeable and attentive to food allergies. The beach is seaweed and rock free and the pool activities were great.

The Catalonia Royal Tulum Resort in Mexico provides a fantastic vacation location. The resort offers gorgeous beach with plenty of chairs. As it’s an all inclusive waitresses come around to ask you if you want something to drink. The buffet restaurant staff are absolutely the best. The pool bar offers any type of drink you want. I’ll be going back for sure.

The best features of this resort are the beautiful beach and friendly staff! It's a quiet resort set in the jungle with lots of wildlife to enjoy. The resort is very clean and well maintained. Beloved is the best restaurant with good food - our favourite was the skirt steak. However, Beloved has a leisurely pace so not the place to go if you are in a hurry. The theme restaurants and buffet have great service and average food. There was a variety of activities during the day and some entertainment every night. The privilege deluxe room was nice and the bathroom has great counter space. However the water pressure in the shower is low and hot water was not consistently available in our room. Also the air conditioning in our room seemed inadequate.The indoor restaurants were also quite warm. Our biggest concern was the lack of hot water to shower. I think there is also room for improvement with food.

The staff were very kind and responsive. The room was very clean and nice. The food was delicious with lots of choices. We felt really spoiled by the wonderful service. However we learned that the resort was only half full so likely the staff were not too overwhelmed. The beach was our favourite spot to hang out. Would consider a repeat visit.

As the title says, this was a dream vacation for my partner and I. Everything about this hotel was amazing. The atmosphere while walking from the rooms to the beach was incredible, especially getting to see all the wildlife! The staff was also awesome! From the restaurants, the bar staff, and the ladies taking drink orders on the beach! The food was fantastic, there was never a shortage of anything to eat. The breakfast/lunch buffet was delicious and service was great. We tried the steak, Asian, and Mexican restaurants. They were all great but the Asian restaurants service could greatly improve as we waited over an hour for even the appetizers. The best thing about this hotel for both my partner and I was the beach! White sand, clear blue water, so many fish in the water, it was absolutely beautiful!

The grounds at the hotel were beautiful and the food was amazing! Very good customer service ? The only complaint I have is there was a strong sewer smell coming from the bathroom which we eventually got used to..

This is the perfect size resort with an amazing beach and lovely grounds. I enjoyed all the restaurants and buffet for lunch and breakfast. Pretty good food for an all inclusive. Lots of veggies, beans, legumes, and fruit. Loved the juice bar at the beach. Service was great everywhere. Entertainment staff engaging, and had some fun playing games. Some improvements would be a little welcome snack and drink. There was nothing when we arrived very late at night and exhausted. This would have been a nice welcome. No late night/ 24 hour snack place. Instead there is room service that was hit or miss, sometimes waiting almost an hour. No buffet at night-except for Saturday Mexico night. Reservations, sit down only. There really should be a buffet option every night , or no need for reservations at a la carte. It’s a long drive from Cancún airport. Otherwise I really enjoyed this resort and would definitely recommend.

The resort grounds were beautiful. I loved the garden pathways. The beach was great and loved the proximity from the beach to pool area. We enjoyed a quick back and forth between the two! Nightly entertainment was good, the glow party was a lot of fun, the DJ played great music. Good selection of restaurants although I found it challenging that supper time meals needed reservations, so it made it hard to just be in the moment and go for dinner when you felt ready. We were also not told on arrival that supper meals required reservations , we found out by accident. You can always order room service but selection is limited and food was not great. Food at restaurants was good, aesthetically most restaurants were a bit bland looking though. I liked this resort wasn’t overcrowded and there was a good age range of guests. This isn’t a “party resort” which is what we were looking for. They did not have a lot of on resort activities, such as free waters sports, which is a little disappointing. we also weren’t made aware of all the different activities that were available during the day. When we arrived, it was quite late and it was a bit disappointing not to be greeted with a drink, or some type of itinerary of events to have a sense of what was happening or how to access them. Overall, the pros far outweighed the cons and it was a comfy and relaxing resort. We’d go again.

Overall a good experience. Entertainment staff was excellent! I enjoyed games by the pool daily. Rooms were quiet and well kept. Mini-bar was stocked daily without fail. The surf was rough most days, so we didn't spend time at the beach as we normally would. The evening show or activity didn't start until 9:30pm, which is a little late for us. So we only saw 1 show. Biggest drawback for us was **There is no dinner buffet! ** This is the only all-inclusive that we have ever been to that didn't have one. Every dinner had to be pre-booked. So on our first night there, we had to order room service, as we couldn't find an opening anywhere! When on vacation, we don't like being tied to timelines. Also, we didn't like being hounded by different "concierges" about 'gifts' we could get if we took a tour with them and listen to their spiel.

Our trip to Catalonia Royal Tulum was amazing. The food is excellent, the resort is clean and what to say about the staff....they were ALL amazing. Le resort a su gardé un beau cachet des pierres de la sité des Mayas et de la forêt. Le pont qui relie les Villas à la piscine et buffet est simplement magique le soir. Tout est propre et bien entretenu.

The resort was fantastic. Food was great. The staff is amazing and the rooms were nice and clean. I was disappointed to find out upon my arrival that the buffet is only open for dinner on Saturdays. You need to make a reservation for the restaurants and if they are all booked up you have to order room service...which sucks when you're hungry. I would have liked a place where I can go eat after 5pm. Also, I found the entertainment to be lacking.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This resort is not party central but that is what we wanted. The food is very good. The hotel is very clean. The public restrooms are CLEAN and smell fresh. The beach is great. I also cannot say enough about the staff. Super friendly, gracious, helpful and happy.

The arrival transfer: this was the biggest letdown. They had a van that seated 8 people plus the driver, and they put 8 people plus the driver in it. They originally tried to put my partner and I upfront and I was too tall to fit without my legs being smushed against the gear shift and dashboard. Eventually another couple with a shorter woman offered to sit up front, and afterwards even she said that it was tight for her. She was about 5'2". Anyways, we got there in one piece. We had a direct transfer from the airport to our hotel, which was nice. It took about an hour and 10 minutes from the airport. I informed the Transat rep the next day, as it was definitely a safety concern. Our transfer back had no issues fitting everyone in, though it was still full. On the resort: A very beautiful and unique small property! The checkin was friendly and efficient, our room was ready when we arrived around 2pm. Originally they offered us a room on the ground floor, but we prefer an upper floor room and they were able to accommodate us. We were offered the Privilege upgrade at checkin for 30 USD (per person per night) for a minimum of three nights and we chose not to take it. The only nice thing about it would have been access to 24 hour food for us to make it worthwhile. We were in room 2205, a Premium room, which was nicely appointed. The amenities in the room included a mini fridge (water, soda and beer), snacks (chips, oreos and nuts), toiletries, as well as refillable shampoo and body wash. The bed was nice and comfy. Showers were nice with lots of hot water, and there was a rainfall shower head and a handheld shower head, both with separate taps. The towels, hand towels, and face cloths provided were in good condition and nice and fluffy. They will only change the towels and sheets if you indicate you'd like them changed, which saves on energy and water waste. Our beach towel was in the room on arrival. There is no towel exchange by the beach, you will have to have the towel exchanged at the end of the day for a fresh one as the cart comes by your room (assuming you are, indeed, in your room when they come around offering to exchange towels). The stone pathway from the lobby to the beach area is a little uneven and there are no elevators in the room blocks, which could make it a difficult resort for those with mobility issues (or if you've had one too may cocktails or even if you're just wearing flip-flops). The pool is on the smaller side, and finding consistent shade throughout the day can be a bit of a chore. Some of the umbrellas needed to be replaced. There's no umbrellas or palapas on the beach, only palms. There's better shade everywhere in the afternoon. We are not sun-tanners and found that we had to move around rather frequently to avoid being in full sun. The pool can be quite loud during they day (music, entertainment, other guests). There's lot of daytime activities to participate in. The beach is absolutely beautiful, soft white sand and gorgeous clear water. We did not have any issues with seaweed while we were there. There does seem to be more smoking than I expected on a resort in a country where smoking in public areas is now prohibited. People also smoked on their balconies, which was a shame. The clientele was largely European, though there were a fair number of Americans and fellow Canadians as well. The entertainment staff spoke in Spanish, Italian and English during the daytime games/activities and during the evening entertainment. The buffet is small, but has a lot of variety. We had no issues ever finding anything to eat, but during peak times (ie. breakfast) you would sometimes have to wait for a table. The buffet is open for breakfast and lunch only, except Saturdays for the Mexican buffet evening. The a la cartes are by reservation online (you're given access to the website on check-in). The Terrace was the most popular due to the ambiance. The vegetarian meatballs there were very tasty! Portions at the a la cartes are small, especially at the Italian. The Mexican was interesting, more of an 'elevated" style of Mexican with unique taste combinations. The food in the a la cartes were good. Rauxa has a dinner and circus show, but we did not eat there. We also didn't try the grill, as we were only there 5 nights. The BLoved is exclusive to Privilege guests and it's the only 24 hour restaurant. If people like larger meals/a snack before bed it might be prudent to book an early seating at one restaurant and a late seating at the tapas or even Rauxa. There is early entertainment in the lobby at 7:30 pm. We found that it was limited and only for an hour or so, and it was a lot of musicians who sort of walk from table to table to play requests. There was one gentleman who set up on the little stage and actually played music, he was a big hit. The evening shows (that we saw) were good but they don't start until 9:45pm and there's no actual stage, so it could be hard to see sometimes. The Mexican night had fun games and a mechanical bull. There was karaoke one night as well. This is not a party resort by any means, but the pool bar (not the swim up) is open until 2am and the entertainment staff work really hard to make sure everyone is having a fun time. There are lots of animals onsite. Highly suggest that you do not keep snacks in your bags while you're at the pool, as the coatis will steal whole bags and run off. People were unfortunately feeding the animals, which encourages this behaviour. If you don't want the animals in your bags while you're at the pool, keep the snacks in your rooms. Also ensure that your room sliding door is closed and locked. We opened a bag of nuts while the screen door was open, and we looked out and had a small flock of birds and a coati ready to join us for a snack. Some people complained that coatis had entered their rooms. If you have an early morning transfer, lights in the hallways and stairwells are still off, making it difficult to see which could be dangerous. No food was open before 7am, but there was coffee and croissants in the lobby. All the staff that we interacted with were amazing! They have really great people working here, from the front desk, the bar tenders, the waiters, and the entertainment staff. 10/10 for the staff. :) All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would consider returning. We've never returned to the same hotel twice, so that's saying something. :) We booked one excursion through the Transat Rep. We had booked a full day Tulum/Coba combo tour, but on the day of we were unable to travel to Tulum due to a road closure for the forthcoming "Mayan Train" (they say it will be open "soon" lol). We went to see Muyil instead which was actually more interesting as they are still in the process of doing excavations. We only had 45 minutes at Coba by the time we got through the entrance, making renting a bike or cycle taxi necessary to see the large site...it's not super expensive (5 dollars for a bike, 7 dollars for a cycle taxi). The food at the included Mayan Village was not great at all (I've been on maybe 4 similar excursions in the Mayan Riviera and this was by far the worst) and the cenote was underwhelming. It looked like it was a newer establishment, and they gave us an hour and a half (!!) there which seemed like way too much time. We would have preferred an extra half hour at Coba. The tourist tax: we did pay it at the airport while leaving and saw that some folks had paid it before arriving. However: no one asked to see proof of it, and my understanding is that it's not enforced at all. I'm sure lots of people didn't bother paying, but this may be changing in the future.

this hotel is built around and to some extent, over, a cenote, of which there are lots in the area [we particularly recommend cenote minotaur], though swimming in this one is not permitted. the a la carte restaurants are situated between the hotel lobby and the cenote, one on the banks of it. beyond them and over the bridge the road is a model of a mayan highway, with neatly arranged limestone slabs. off this to either side are the rooms, hidden by the preserved jungle [with wildlife], ensuring privacy. it's quite a step then to the mangrove swamp, crossed by a wooden walkway, until you reach solid ground at the pool area. here you have the buffet restaurant [breakfast and lunch only] with friendly staff [kudos to Quetzabel] on the other side of the pool are other facilities including a good bar for espresso coffee before 10 a.m. [after that time they are allowed to serve booze as well]. directly beyond the pool is the beach area - plenty of seating under coconut palms before the beach proper and the sea. food was generally good, but evening entertainment did not impress.

Absolutely loved the charm of this Mexican authentic resort! Not a lot of glass and marble, the grounds are like walking through a romantic jungle. The staff members are always smiling and ready to make sure you get everything you're looking for out of your trip.

As always, the food is exceptional and so is the staff. Very friendly and accommodating. However, we are not techy people and don't rely on cell phones on vacation so we found reservations difficult to navigate.

We stayed at the Royal Catalonia Tulum for 10 days. It was a great vacation spot. We had a redeye flight and arrived before noon. The hotel gave us full access to the property and one of our rooms that was ready right away. You can’t talk about this resort without talking about the staff. They are friendly, welcoming and happy to see you. Quesabel in La Palapa is friendly, efficient and a pure joy to interact with. She made us feel special every single day. Other favourites were Carlos in La Palapa, Luis in Adelita, and Anna at the Terrace. Antonio looked after our room and went out of his way to get us new towels mid day. The grounds are beautiful with lots of wildlife. Iguanas, geckos and lots of coatis was the norm. I loved it! They have a beautiful wooden walkway through the mangroves that is lit up at night. Beautiful! There is lots of beach to walk on with more secluded areas just a short distance from the resort. You can walk quite a ways and only see a few other people from the resort. The beach and water are stunning. There is good snorkelling right off the resort beach and in the coves at either end of the beach. The water was fairly calm and the waves were not an issue. The resort was at 90% occupancy and never felt crowded. The pools are nice and its quite easy to find private space if you want. If it rains, there are not a lot of public areas to escape to. Luckily for us, rain was not an issue. It’s a smaller resort and we quite loved it. Our favourite restaurants were La Palapa (main restaurant for breakfast and lunch), Adelita (Mexican) and the Terrace (tapas). We found the food in La Palapa good, and there was enough variety we did not tire of it. The Terrace is outside and located next to a grotto. It’s beyond lovely. We tried all of the restaurants and I wouldn’t go back to the others. We appreciated the free water offerings and took advantage of the catamaran. It was great fun!

Just returned from a 10 day stay at Royal Catalonia Tulum. We’ve travelled a lot and this was one of the best values we experienced so far. Beach was outstanding: white sand, clear weed free water. Few rocks. Lots of chairs on the beach. Service was excellent. Happy people that want to keep you happy Pool was large. Some activity around pool but not overbearing. Could probably add a bit more variety in day to day activities though Rooms were nicely appointed. Quiet. Tv channel selection was decent Food was “ok”. Buffet for breakfast and lunch was good. Needs more variety from one day to the next though. The themed restaurants were promising but have a way to go. Portions small but you could ask for more. Online reservation/menu system was excellent. Night life was a bit of a let down. All activities started at 9:45 and were lacklustre. We still were happy with each day we experienced. The weather was outstanding with beautiful sun rise and sunsets! Will definitely return WestJet service was impressive, especially on the way down with the larger plane. Not so much on the way home although luggage was waiting for us when we got through the paperwork. The rise from the airport is a bit long but it’s worth the drive All in all, a great vacation.

This smaller resort offers a more intimate option for a relaxing beach holiday. Stunning beaches, comfortable accommodation, tasty Mexican food and amazing staff are some of the highlights. For nature lovers, the mangroves and tropical plant life on site provide homes for an abundance of birds, geckos, iguanas, agoutis, and coatis (Mexican racoons). Snorkelers will find many opportunities to explore the ocean life.

Re. Covid, only a few servers wore masks. Not a single guests wore any. Tables were somewhat distanced from one another so it felt safe enough. There was no sanitizing of any chairs or public areas we saw.

The hotel grounds were openly lovely…natural rustic bridges that extend over the fish pond and lead to tropical mangrove trees w local people friendly animals creating shaded cover along the paths to hotel rooms. Very romantic feel. Rooms were exactly as pictured in their web sight and our maid, Paula, met us every day w a big smile n friendly warm demeanor. Rooms were very clean. It was a surprise that there was no elevator. Good thing there are only 3 floors! Staff very polite n friendly. Martha in the spa was able to fix my back from 5 years of consistent 24hr pain. She was amazing! …was the best sleep I had for years. Shout out to Daniel, guest services, who was able to address every concern (many Europeans seem to smoke in non smoking areas)…need a reservation when everything is booked?..he’s your go to guy. Reservations are required for dinner at any of the 5 restaurants (there is 1 other restaurant at the beach called “Beloved” but u must upgrade for $120 or $60 for a minimum of 3 days open to u for all meals if u purchase it) so I suggest you book as many as u can ahead of time for ease and comfort. They also offer a romantic dinner on the beach w exclusive service for a price of course. It looked pretty inviting! If u forgot anything, they have a few shops that can cover every need. Pool area is very well designed w cabanas near by to lounge on. Entertainment team was non stop. Though there was some construction near the pool, the hotel did their best to control the noise which was not significant at this time. Food overall was a bit of a let down; Somehow, I was expecting better quality. Hotel is almost an hour from the airport. I must say, The highlight of this trip was the beach! Gentle warm Caribbean waves adjacent to undeveloped properties to one side makes this property seem exclusive.

Beautiful resort. Small but has everything you need for a great holiday. Very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. The beach was disappointing because they had a real problem with an invasive type of seaweed. Might only be at certain times of the year. Not their fault.Nature.

I will keep it short and point form because I could go on and on about the excellence of this resort. Some have said that it is 'too quiet' and everyone was old and grey. We found a great mix of all. During our week, we met with people literally from all over the world and even a few groups of people travelling/partying together. We are not necessarily 'joiners' so we did not partake of the Entertainment offerings but what was organized was very well done. Participants were all having a wonderful time, lots of laughs and cheering. The resort is in the perfect location and is the perfect size. We were looking for a small and quiet get away, this was exactly what we were looking for. The staff are amazing, very warm and welcoming. Always a smile and an 'Hola'. We chose the Privilege option and suggest it to everyone, the perks are SO worth it! The Junior suite is wonderful with a large and furnished balcony. The bathroom is large with a great rain shower shower 'room'. The room was immaculate as well as all other areas in the resort. There are 6 buildings with rooms located between the lobby and the pool & beach area. The walkway to the pool & beach area is beautiful with the entire resort right in the middle of the jungle. The pool is large as is the beach. The beach was immaculate. A few days there was quite a build up of seaweed but that is not under the control of any of the resorts. They kept on top of it as best the could. WE WILL BE RETURNING!

Catalonia Royal Tulum is a beautiful resort made even more special by the kind, caring and hard-working staff who always have a smile and a Hola! The beach is beautiful and provides a breathtaking walk of 4km, though the loungers are pretty much crammed together and you need to get one fairly early. The food was very good too. We liked that we could go to any a la carte we wanted to without a reservation (except Rauxa which we didn’t go to) since the buffet isn’t open for dinner other than on Saturday for the Mexican night. Adelita’s, the Mexican a la carte, was our favourite. Unfortunately for the most part we didn’t enjoy the drinks and never had a decent margarita or mojito, but the juice bar at the beach was wonderful and a very good idea. I wish more resorts had one. As for Covid, we had no concerns: masks were worn whenever people were inside or in close contact such as at the buffet. Hand sanitizer was provided and used everywhere, and getting our RAT Covid tests was easy and quick. We appreciated not wasting any of our precious sun time! And on that note we did decide to upgrade to BLoved so we could access the restaurant. After a few days of spending far too much time waiting for essentially the same food we could readily get at the buffet, we decided to forgo BLoved which was a very good decision. You could get pretty much anything you wanted without the upgrade. Really the only major con of this resort for us was the amount of smokers. As non-smokers we seemed to be the minority, often being surrounded by smokers no matter on the beach or at the evening show (where it was the worst). It is unfortunate that resorts don’t provide specific smoking areas as we have in ‘everyday’ existence. It sure would be appreciated. Overall though CRT is one of the best in the Mayan because it’s small but big in heart. Loved it there and will return.

This resort was kept very clean, the staff were energized, friendly, courteous, eager to help and very happy! The grounds were extremely well kept and there were staff members everyday working on cleaning up the gardens. It was so nice that Covid protocols were in place and staff adhered to them and also enforced them. The restaurants were fantastic and we were so impressed!!…both with the service and quality of the meal. The buffet was great and never had any problem finding something we enjoyed! The show and dinner theatre was extremely well done and was like a mini Cirque de Sole!!….very impressed!! The shows put on by the staff were very high energy and well done! So much work goes into each show and we appreciated al that work!!

Overall, great experience. The food was average and the resort was dated. The covid protocols were great. We really enjoyed the beach and the services (most times). The food selection needs improvement and some servers/bartenders are better than others. No one made the same Mojito.

This amazing small resort has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. There is enough of everything. You can party, escape, stroll, swim, be entertained, eat, relax, be pampered, etc. We would suggest the “privileged” package, so worth it. Part of the package gets you access to the BLoved bar and restaurant. This was by far the highlight place to eat. The Mexican food choices were amazing, and something for everyone. The best was the service at this spot! Alix, Rosario, and Argel especially. Without their attention to details and kind ways it would have been just ok. Thank you Catalonia Royal Tulum! Another plus was the Sunwing rep Saul! He hooked us up on an amazing tour!

The grounds were immaculately kept we loved strolling through the grounds. Staff were friendly and helpful...they all work so hard for us and we apprecuated it. Food was fresh and well prepared and delicious.

Small, quiet adults only resort. Entrance to the resort is very modest compared to bigger resorts. Lobby is impressive. Check in was efficient. There is a bar in the lobby tucked into a corner, that should be more in the open area. There is a small pond exiting the lobby with fish, turtles and various large birds. Path to the room is a very pretty, winding cobblestone path carved through the jungle. The room was cleaned consistently every afternoon. There was always adequate towels and the mini bar was always restocked. The 2 buffets were good and the 5 a la cartes were good. Favourite was the grill on the ocean. Swimming pool was too cold to enjoy. Beach is very nice with about 2 km of sand for walking. Seaweed was minimal, but increased with a strong east wind. It piled up over a couple of days and was not picked up. Recommend for couples looking for a quiet laid back vacation.

The tropical gounds, beautiful pool and excellent staff, made this a perfect holiday with old friends. The beach was spectacular, beautiful to walk on with good snorkeling right in front of the resort. The small size, Adult only and availability, with no reservations, of great dining options, made for a relaxed vacation. The only dining option that was a disappointment was the Mexican, and we love authentic Mexican cuisine! We highly recommend the Privilege upgrade, which gives many perks including access to the BLoved Beachfont restaurant and lounge. The Spa is luxurious and the massage was top rate! Excellent service, clean and beautiful grounds and buildings make this a special resort.

Check-in: Good, careful of upselling upon arrival, guest service agent sold us Honeymoon package and made an error in offerings so they gave us free Rauxa Show Tickets to compensate. No upgraded room, same one we booked as it was newer renovated and in middle of resort, quick access to beach/pool and other end to lobby. They gave us a choice as we arrived earlier afternoon as rooms were coming back in service from being cleaned. Nice rooms, good beds and pillows, well stocked mini-bars, nice service to replace pool towels at your room not at the pool (loved this). Refresh rooms nightly. Great housekeeping, clean rooms. We did not watch any of the shows but heard some were good. Hotel needs a designated professional theatre or stage as at other hotels to have the shows. Entertainment in lobby would have been nice to last more than just an hour while everyone was at dinner and didn't get to enjoy it. Lobby is quite nice, large well appointed, good air circulation, large lobby bar and good space to sit just nothing happening there. Rauxa show, don't waste your money to buy tickets. Entertaining for sure, food was great but small portions, service was excellent, but wasn't the Wow I was expecting. Beach, fantastic! Not a huge long beach but a decent bay to walk from one end to the other. Not too much traffic on beach from those outside the resort which was nice. A few beach clubs on the stretch, some abandoned hotels. Upgrade to Privilege well worth it! Loved having the BLoved restaurant there open all day great food, good service. Beach service by Cesar was awesome. Beach staff serving work hard, so please tip them, they won't forget you. This is not a resort that skimps on alcohol and they serve premium alcohol so tread lightly and be specific on what you want. Coffee is great, OMG fresh bread is everywhere..... Would definitely return, my husband found it a bit sleepy in regards to daily activities as we are used to larger resorts but this was just what the doctor ordered. Would be a great hotel to go with a few couples. Specialty restaurants: We really enjoyed the Grill, not crazy about Italian although service by Maitre D' was excellent as I was not feeling well that night and he seemed to cater to our needs while servers were a little disorganized. Did not go to other specialty restaurants but the main buffet was awesome, had everything you would want, not busy at dinner and very good selection. Main buffet was also amazing for breakfast! No reservations needed at any restaurant and plenty of selection to choose from. Spa massage was not very good. Outdoor area should be like in Punta Cana at the Catalonia Bavaro, no one used the outdoor space and weather was good not too humid and hot. Indoor spa was lovely, gym was there also and was well appointed. Would I return, yes! This was our first adults only and will not be the last!

We were there from Feb 5-12 and had the best time with Friends and Family !! Food was the best we have had !! Rooms were spacious and clean, and the grounds and pool were kept clean and tidy ! We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone !

This resort is small, quiet,they do not play music on the beach except for an hour a day when they do water arobics....there is a bar in the main lobby tucked away in the corner with no patio to sit on no music playing except at night when they have either a violinist or a guitar player...ect ect The beach front at this resort is beautiful ...not many trees for shade no palapas on the beach...the beach is very close to a bar and the pool..... Pool always looked busy but just passed by as we do not sit at a pool.... The buffet was okay nothing great not a huge selection lunch was better than dinner.... you have a choice to go to all restaurants for dinner, no reservations... Except the beloved restaurant which is for upgrade only,did not upgrade so cannot comment, the rooms were really nice nothing fancy but updated and clean the walkway is in middle of a rainforest setting on either side only 6 bldgs 3 on each side There is a little animal called a coati (racoon family) very friendly will be roaming around when people walk by especially when fed, (you are not suppose to feed) they can bite The resort is just about in the middle of the 2 cities Tulum and Playa Del Carmen you can take the collectivo too both places.... Distance from airport to resort is approximately 50-60 min The steak house was very good The photographers were really annoying constantly trying to take pictures of you One night during the week the resort has a few vendors in selling on the pathway They also have a store at the pool and in the lobby .

Resort was lovely. Very clean, good food and friendly staff. We highly recommend this resort and would return. The a la cart restaurants were very good and appreciated not having to make reservations ahead of time at them.

Its far from the airport but once you get here the travel is worth it. Its about an hour away driving. The staff were very friendly and we didnt have a bad experience with anyone while we were there. Its very close to a beautiful blue beach which is kept clean every day. The food and restaurants were awesome. My favourite was the Italian restaurant. They have this really swanky japanese restaurant called Tao Cat...also amazing. BRING BUG SPRAY OR YOU WILL GET BIT. THIS IS NOT A PARTY RESORT.. I REPEAT... NOT A PARTY RESORT. The only complaint I have was that at the snack bar or the italian restaurant the food would take way too long. It got to the point where we left a couple meals because we were fed up with the wait time despite being the first ones there and putting our orders in early. Please hire more kitchen staff for your resort. The waiters were awesome and work very hard. Everyone there works as a team and this shines through at the resort. Anything you need they will accomodate you.

The beach was not very good ..the sand is white but significant seaweed / not their fault but a strong negative if you like beach Not a fan of the exclusive and privilege levels at a small resort

This place is amazing. Great food, staff, and environment. The beach was kept clean and we never had to fight for a chair. The rooms are spacious and very nice bathrooms. Recommend the Mexican restaurant.

We loved the CRT because of the beautiful beach and pool, amazing service, cleanliness of the rooms and grounds, service and food. If you are seeking a quiet and relaxing vacation then this is the place. We will return for sure!

Overall we enjoyed our stay but we would not return. PROS: Grounds, Customer Service, Rooms, Pool, Beach We stayed at this resort for 5 days and have to say that the customer service was impeccable! If we had questions or any issues (I.E. malfunctioning safe), we were helped right away or someone sent to our room within 30 minutes of placing the call for assistance. The resort grounds, pool and beach were all absolutely beautiful! Simply walking around on the resort grounds was a treat with the abundance of trees, ponds, birds, bridges and friendly local wildlife in the resort itself. CONS: Food, Sales staff, Beach, Night life Sales staff: there are a ton of staff in white uniforms that walk the grounds "ensuring your holiday is good", but the moment you respond or stop to talk, they start the sales pitch of how to cut out the middleman for your vacations and go through them instead. We had the exact same person approach us to have the same exact conversation each 2-3 times a day every single day we were there: "where are you from, hows the weather back home, how long are you here for, etc" trying to engage us into their 60 minute sales pitch. Food: we chose this resort based off the good reviews for food and we were very disappointed. We tried almost every restaurant (not the "exclusive package") and found they all lacked significantly in flavor. We even tried the room service and ordered the enchiladas and caeser salad our last night. It arrived very quickly but when I ordered, I mentioned that I was allergic to avocado and needed to ensure there was none in the dish - to which they replied that I was good and there would be no avocado. They then sent a side dish of guacamole on the same plate as my enchiladas. Not only could I not eat what I had ordered but when my husband tried to eat them, he said the filling was slimy (chicken and onions were the only filling) and it was tasteless and stopped after 2 bites. I shared the caesar salad with my husband, which was pretty good flavor wise but the pool of water at the bottom was less than appetizing. The only delicious meal we had our entire trip was at the Cancun airport on our way home (Guy Fieri's - so good!). Beach: a lot of seaweed! The sand and water were lovely and the beach setup for lounging was great. However, the amount of seaweed was surprising considering the reviews have not reflected much. It took all morning for the staff to clear beach of seaweed and by mid afternoon you were once again hopping over mounds that stretched the length of the grounds. Personally, I don't view it as a big deterrent for this resort but something to note for your stay. Nightlife: not a lot going on while we were there (Monday-Friday). They have a few bars open until 2am but it is a quiet resort so if you're looking for a party, you might want to look elsewhere.

The adult only resort was perfect and the staff were wonderful and extremely helpful. The rooms did not have views of the beach but the trees and animals made more than up for it. I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for either a trip with some froends or a romantique getaway.

Overall this is a very nice resort - typical of what have experienced at Catalonia properties. It is somewhat older but very well maintained. The service personnel are very friendly and accommodating. The food is quite good although we found the Mexican and Asian restaurants to not be to our tastes. The beach is great and the grounds are well maintained. There are two drawbacks to the property: first it is over an hour from the airport and second, it is a long walk from the rooms to the pool/beach area. We will go back. A fair rating would be 4.5.

I am a 70-year-old sophisticated traveller who has been in 93 countries over my 55 years of travel. The reviews I read were so exceptional that I was skeptical. This resort was even better than the reviews. It's the best all-inclusive resort I have ever seen, anywhere, at any price range. Very laid back. Sophisticated Canadian, European and South American adults only clientele. Exceptionally well managed in every way. No queues. No reservations for anything. Simply walk in to any of the many themed restaurants or buffets. No queues for bars or front desk. Very good food. Numerous cuisines. Large suites. Beach of about two miles, mostly fringed by jungle, rather than high rises. This is the only resort of any size on the beach, though it itself is not large. It is carved out of mangrove swamp and rainforest that provides an ecological area through which guests walk on a boardwalk. The birds and mammals are plentiful. The oriental restaurant in particular is stunning, open air in the rainforest next to a large fish pond. There is nothing negative to be said about this resort.

We had an amazing stay at the Catalonia Royal Tulum. The grounds were beautiful, room was clean, and the staff were excellent. I have a dairy allergy and was worried it was going to be an inconvenience, however I was impressed to find that the hostess at each restaurant asked about any allergies prior to seating, and we were asked again by our servers. Our only complaints were the oddly aggressive photographers, and the individuals trying to sell time shares. That said, this would not stop us from returning!

We loved the small feel to the resort. The buildings are hidden behind the trees and the walk to the beach is just beautiful. The resort offers variety of cuisines and the food is excellent in all! You can relax in the spacious and cozy looking lobby or at the bar by the beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

We've stayed at all the Catalonia resorts on the Mayan Riviera and this is hands down the best of them all. Let's start with the beach, which is amazing. Clean, beautiful white sand, no rocks. The grounds are natural, jungle like setting, well kept, with roaming coatis and iguanas. It is an adult only resort and we founded to be relatively quiet. Entertainment was good, in particular the girl only Cuban band and the acrobatic dancers. Staff was friendly and they worked really hard to provide a good service. Food was fantastic, lots of fish and healthy meals. They cater mostly to the European market which is in many respects a positive thing. No food or drinks are being served in the pool. Location wise, the resort is right by the main highway connecting Playa Del Carmen with Tulum. You can hop on a Collectivo (minibus) running every 5 minutes for just a $3 trip to Tulum or Playa. It is a safe and quick mode of getting around. Tulum is nice and off the beaten path. Buy your souvenirs and booze from Playa! Avoid the duty free, it is way more expansive than buying from the grocery store or Walmart. Twice a week the souvenir stores in the resort have a sale.

We just returned from our third visit at the CRT and it will not be our last. In fact we are hoping to return with our adult children in February. We stayed on the second floor of block 6 which was closest to the beach and it was great. The staff, food, beach and atmosphere are all wonderful. On another note,please watch out for the Exclusive Traveler Club. They will try very hard to sell you a package. It is not worth it. We purchased the cheapest option for $1599 US which lasts for 2 years. They promised $100 a night where in fact it is $165 US a night plus airfare. Going with Tripcentral was much cheaper even without considering the $1599 fee.

The resort was well groomed, clean, staff very friendly and helpful. The only thing that I believe was lacking was the entertainment. There could have been better communication to the patrons, as to what was available on any given evening. There was a small board advertising what shows were happening in the evenings, but we were not aware of it until 3rd day into our vacation. I found that not many people were aware of what was happening. I felt bad for the performers at times, there were only a handful of people showing up to their show. All in all it was a wonderful time. thank you!

Our fifth time staying at this resort (two week stays each time). Grounds well laid out, food, facilities and lodging nestled into a mostly treed property, that opens to the large pool area and then the beach as you make your way to the ocean along the central cobblestone path from your room. Some areas of the resort are a bit dated, but well maintained despite this fact (gym, some features of the rooms, and some of the furnishings in common areas). Staff very friendly and competent. In the years that we have been staying here, we are happy to see that there are many long term employees still working there year after year. It shows in their attitudes, and management does a good job of keeping them motivated and engaged. Beach and patio loungers are newer, comfortable and well cared for each day. Housekeeping is diligent and consistent. Beach is beautiful, plenty of shade and sun to suit your preference. Drink service very efficient. Lots of nice touches throughout the resort make it intimate and genuine for couples seeking a quiet, romantic holiday. Not a resort for those seeking great night life. Evening entertainment at the hotel is energetic and fun. Food is good to very good, depending where you dine. Capacity exists such that waiting in lines rarely to never happens. This is a beach resort--the beach is unparalleled, whether you want to lounge, walk or swim.

This is a phenomenal all-inclusive hotel. (Note: I tend to avoid all-inclusive resorts and prefer smaller, more intimate vacations. I loved this place.) The grounds are stunning - built among mangroves the greenery around the resort is unique. The beautifully maintained greenery provides privacy to the rooms' balconies and close encounters with the locals (beautiful tropical jays, iguanas, coatis, a great blue heron, etc.). The rooms are more than adequate. While you are not getting full 5 star luxury - the clean, large rooms offer an excellent bathroom/shower, comfortable bed (if a little soft), a fairly private balcony, enough towels, a safe, etc. The beach is stunning. Better than any of the three other beaches we visited in the area - it was virtually private. There is a couple other very small beach front restaurant, beach clubs whose clients did not venture over to the resort portion. The beach was stunning - the sand was softest we found in the area. Only on one day (the first) was there a significant amount of seaweed that was washed up on the shore but the hotel staff worked hard to shovel it all up and bury it in the beach nearby. The beach had a fairly strong breeze that did result in some rough waves - nothing that you couldn't swim in - but also a nice cooling air that made sitting on the beach even more pleasurable. We also loved the free juice bar on the beach - with many types of fruit, ginger, greens, etc - so delicious! The indoor gym is great. (Although I had injured myself before the trip and could not take advantage of the well-equipped workout machines in a glass front building overlooking the pool.) The third party car rental people out front were great. You pay a little more to have the convenience of renting from the lobby (as opposed to having to go to Tulum to rent) but the service was excellent. The car is on-site and we had one car have some issues and they drove right out to us (1/2 hour away in downtown Tulum) immediately to provide us with a replacement vehicle. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Often bringing a second drink without even asking, saying 'hello' every time you pass them, changing the room early in the day, etc. Aside from the general buffet, there are 6 restaurants from which to choose for dinner. Unlike other resorts, there is no need to make reservations - which is a nice luxury of being able to decide each evening if you are in the mood for a grill, Asian, Italian, tapas, Mexican, etc. Being a small resort, wait times for the restaurants are not unreasonable and one has the option to have drinks at one of the nearby bars while waiting. The ambiance at the restaurants is excellent. The outdoor tapas restaurant is set on the edge of a natural cenote and it is lit with small lights - by far the most romantic, prettiest option. While most of the food at the resort was "okay" - i.e., more than acceptable for an all-inclusive but middling by most other standards. Ambiance and service aside, the tapas was quite mediocre (at best). The other dinner spaces were also nice - only the Italian restaurant seemed oddly placed in the main buffet room and only separated by an 8 foot temporary wedding hall dividing wall. Expecting decent Italian food from an Italian based company - I was disappointed. The risotto was not risotto but overcooked rice in a chicken stock. One day the Spanish head chef made paella on the beach for a lunch - it was again, an overcooked rice dish with questionable seafood (mussels that weren't open and lobster that was quite off colour). If you pay a little extra you get access to a privilege area. The real perk to this is the access to B'loved - the beach side restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinks all day. While our dinner there was poor (both of our fish dishes were overcooked and dry to the point of being barely edible) - we enjoyed all of our breakfasts, lunches, and cocktails. In all, regarding the food, it was acceptably decent and did not detract meaningfully from an other excellent resort. They try hard with different restaurants have exclusive drink lists (martinis at the tapas, gin&tonics at B'loved, etc.). Note for dinner, they have some 'cirque du soleil' type show on a few nights a week - on those nights the loud music is a little disturbing for the adjacent, out door, open concept Tapas restaurant - you may choose your dining nights for Tapas based on their show schedule. Finally, this resort is small. It is rare to find an all-inclusive which does not feel like a cruise ship. The adults only aspect makes for such a quiet, but friendly, and not over-sedate resort. There is a nice lively vibe without the loudness of a spring break resort. There was always free lounge chairs by the beautiful, warm, clean pool and beach. The hot tub is also clean and popular and overlooks the beach. I would highly recommend this hotel even for those who often avoid all-inclusives. This has all the amenities without the oversized pandemonium.

Every aspect of this resort is excellent. Been to this area of Mexico 4 other times and stayed at 4 other resorts and by far CRT has been the best experience. The beach is the nicest I've seen on the coast with level access into the ocean.

The hotel is very nice. It has very nice beaches, waters and the rooms are very clean. The good is better than most. So what is the problem with this place? In one word there "cheap" everyone is friendly but no one can help you. They all smile but don't expect much. The hot tub is only hot after 12 noon. They promise you new beach towels everyday, good luck with that. Don't do the room upgrade it's not worth the money. You will weight in line for the beach buffet restaurant, what's up with that?This tells me that from the top down, that being the family that owns the some 66 resorts. That there cheap and it's passed all the way down the line to you/me the customer. There are much nicer places to go for the same money. So before you buy into this one, have a good look around.

This hotel surpassed our expectations. The grounds are beautiful, the beach is amazing and the food is phenomenal. Great staff as they're so friendly and accommodating. We would definately go back!

Pros: The resort was fine, the staff were excellent and courteous, and the food was likely as good as you will get anywhere. Cons: We booked a king/queen size bed and were told on arrival that they only had rooms in the privileged suites. These suites only had double (Not queen) size beds and they were jackhammering out the floor in the lobby / entrance, and using rotary drills to drill holes in the walls. We were informed by letter that we had to use the rear utility pathway to exit the building and get to the beach or next building so we could get on to the (Scenic path). It was impossible to nap our enjoy the room during the day for a break from the heat. Our rooms A/C was barely able to keep up with 30 degree heat, so unlikely it could do so in the dead of summer. The mould smell from the A/C unit permeated our clothing and even after washing at home we have not been able to get it out yet.

April 2016, just returned after a fantastic stay. Beach is to die for, white powdery sand, clear blue no coral ocean. Grounds are lovely especially lit up of an evening, very natural spot. Food great and staff are so friendly and helpful, special thanks to Giovani.

Rooms were very modern,clean, excellent staff always smiling, food very good, bar staff excellent always smiling and have top shelf liquor, reception staff very quick, the pool was great , beach was excellent.

We had the honeymoon suite, which was very quaint and well kept. There were lots of dining options and we enjoyed not having book meals days in advance. Wait staff were on the ball and very friendly. Night time entertainment was always something different which kept things interesting. We loved all of the wildlife on the resort and the beautiful jungle path up the middle of the resort made for a great walk to the beach each day.

This is a fantastic place to go and relax. We were there as a couple from Jan 2/16 to Jan 9/16 and we had a wonderful time. Food was very good and the drinks as well. We are beach people and it was the best beach we have been to so far in Mexico. The staff were very friendly and service was very good. We would go back again in a heartbeat.

We spent Christmas 2015 at the resort and we both had an amazing time. Lovely, large and clean room, lots of variety in the food, great beach, but what impressed us the most was the warm and helpful staff. A real bonus was that the hotel was only 15 minutes from the airport.

The resort was very well maintained. The staff did an excellent job removing the seaweed most days so the beach was clear. Our room was always cleaned well, we were served with smiles each and every day.

The hotel was amazing ans staff were outstanding! The walk through the jungle scene to get to our rooms and beach cannot be beat. My only issue was the annoying vendors who set up every other night and the food at the Spanish Restaurant was loaded with salt.

Beautiful resort with a jungle touch. Every aspect was excellent, food, service, grounds, rooms and lets not forget the best beach we have ever been on! The evening wild life was a delight at no extra charge. 11 days was not enough.

This isn't your fancy pants, marble and crystal high class type resort. What it is, is a great casual Adults only, for a reasonable price, on one of the best beaches in Mexico. With multiple A la Carte restaurant without need for reservations or long pants, every evening can be a different dinner menu. You can chill out or join in the fun of the animation team. After visiting other Mayan resorts we wouldn't stay anywhere else.
