This hotel was large enough to keep us engaged but not so large as to overwhelm us with large crowds. We had a swim access pool room that was recently painted, with a recently tiled private patio, with trellis screening; only 8 feet from a newly installed pool. This was our haven. We could venture out to the beach, enjoy dinner or hang out at the main pool but when we tired of having others around, we could retreat to our quiet oasis. The beach was raked clean and long enough to enjoy walking in either direction. There were two associated adjacent hotels that we could venture to that provided some shopping, though a little more variety of goods would have been nice. The food was good, with the exception of breakfast sausages that were hotdog wieners in disguise. It made us wonder how many were put on plates but rejected to the waste bin. I only mention this because it is easier to talk specifically about a singular fault than to praise the variety of food that was available and enjoyed. Service was pleasant, though few English speaking staff. All in all, this was an enjoyable venue and one that we would select again or recommend to friends. Cheers, Garry

Everything was as expected or exceeding our expectations. Hotel clean, wide room, Hot water and a lot of pressure in the shower, nice beach, a lot of activities and animations, exceptionnal gym, great food variety and quality, hotel crew members very nice.

This resort was exactly what it was promised! It was beautiful, food was great, it had a children’s play area. The only things that could improve were the kids pool were too warm , the bathroom didn’t have a complete door or screen that separated it from the rest of the bathroom so water would get out and the kids place had a trampoline that was closed :( other than those it was WONDERFUL! Definitely recommend

The staff were only friendly when I slipped them US cash. The staff have disdain for English-speaking people. My attempts to speak Spanish were received by mocking me. One server made fun of my son for his stutter and ignored him after that. No one showed us around on the first day. The valet just told us to use the app to orient ourselves. The app had the restaurant hours wrong. Food was great. The beach was terrible. I had a better experience at a 3-star in Mexico and Cancun. I will never go back.

Myself and three friends stayed for a week March 30-April 6th 2025 The grounds were immaculate, the food was excellent, rooms were clean and beach was gorgeous. Would return again 100% with my family.

Iberostar Waves was a beautiful resort. The grounds were immaculate. The rooms were newly renovated with fresh calming colours. They were in the middle of sanding the doors and painting them. The food was amazing. They had such a variety of food for everyone to enjoy. The resort is environmentally friendly. There was no garbage, plastic bottles to be seen. As Christmas is coming, it was tastefully decorated in the lobby, restaurants and grounds. Staff was friendly. Unfortunately very few spoke English, but they tried very hard. It was a relaxing vacation for us. A huge thank you to Judy for recommending Iberostar Waves and sending us information along the way and well as the help from the Stoney Creek office when I had questions. Thank you

The only complaint is that some of the food at the buffet was cold. At the Smokehouse, the brisket was very dry and tough but the chicken and fries were really good. Other than that we had a great time!! Loved the resort!! Staff was wonderful!!

We had a great time at the resort. The staff were helpful and the grounds well maintained. We had a couple issues however. First of all we weren't impressed with the food. Not a big variety and the meats were overcooked and fatty. After the second day I basically became a vegetarian. Also there was not any itineraries for us to know of things going on.

we always enjoy our stays at iberostar punta cana ..rooms have now been upgraded ,fresh paint ,great air conditioning ..love that the door locks open with bracelet instead of carrying around a card to unlock doors ..cleaning staff and servers at all locations were awesome..they also got many new lounge chairs around the pools all in all just a great place to relax n refresh for 14 days ..

Perfect size, everything within 4-5 minutes walking distance. Nice pools and great beach front. Friendly staff, Maria the drinky drinky waitress was awesome. Nighttime entertainment was average. French cuisine was my personal favourite

The resort layout and facilities were very nice as were the rooms and the food. The staff was ready to help and the restaurants were fun with varied menus from Mexican to Asian. We were a group of 11 and staff still managed to seat us together. Added bonus in February of '24 there was virtually no seaweed along the beaches in the area. Golfed at the Iberostar Bavaro golf course on site and it was in very good condition, picturesque and playable. The only downside given the resorts price range were first-world problems. Unaccompanied beach towels hoarded the majority of the chairs at the pool and beach which bothered the non-golfers in our group but the only real issue was the crowds at the buffet. While they built separate buffets for the Domenicana and the Punta Cana resorts, they have converted one into a restaurant leaving only one open. At prime time it was chaotic and not fun.You don't see this at other comparably priced resorts in the DR and they really should go back and operate as designed.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. The grounds were impeccable. Everything was exceptionally clean and well kept. The food at the buffets was fresh, abundant, and there was a large variety. The staff were always friendly and smiling. The entertainment staff were fun and energetic and great at encouraging us to participate in everything from pool fitness to dance lessons. We ate at the Asian and Mediterranean restaurants and the food was very good. The fitness centre was wonderful and the yoga teachers were skilled! All around a fabulous vacation!

We stayed at the resort from November 11th to 22nd. It was our second time at the resort, the first time being 20 years ago. So there have been many positive changes. First and foremost the entertainment is amazing, it was 20 years ago and still is today. The gardens are beautiful the beaches are kept clean. They have a lifeguard on duty at the beach which you don't see very often and while we were there he had to go out and rescue someone. The buffets are well stocked and fresh. Though it can be a bit repetitive at times, all the food was amazingly well presented. The specialty restaurants were the best but you can only book 3 dinners. If you like to sitting at the beach you need to get up before 8:00 and find your lounge chair, if not you're out of luck as it's a very busy resort. There are umbrellas on the beach which is a must for me. If you like long walks on the beach you won't be disappointed. The only thing we found is our suite was a bit dated and that the air conditioning just didn't feel right. It looked like the same room I'd been in 20 years ago. The grounds and beach is spectacularly clean. There's environmental policy is outstanding no single use products on the resort. We definitely would return.

we,ve always enjoyed our stays at Iberostar our # one go to resort in punta cana . this year we could tell lots of new employees were being trained after 2 years of Pandemic . lots of familiar faces

I chose Iberostar Punta Cana based on it's pools configuration, landscaping details and beach proximity. I was right on! We loved lounging in it's pools, particularly on the steps, partially submerged in the water, sipping on our cocktails. It doesn't have a swim up bar, but that was no problem at all - more the reason to get up from our spot and move to another comfortable location. We were at a great time - Nov/Dec, not too many people yet. The price point was also very good at that time. Smooth sailing thru Toronto airport, slight delay on departure - wings have to be de-iced. Great transfer to our resort - we were the only ones in our van, and we didn't pay extra for private transfer - maybe it had to do with not too many people going our way yet? On second day there we scheduled our PCR Covid test which was at 2 pm on Dec. 01 /we were coming back on Dec. 03, departure at 4:00 pm/. After congregating at the lobby, @ 15 people were taken by golf carts to a location in one of the Iberostar Bavaro villas. There we paid our fee which was 70 usd per person /cash/. Our results were e-mailed to us next day at 8:00 am. Very fast I would say. Also, I loved eco features of the resort: dispensers in the bathrooms /soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, body wash/; air dryers for hands, no paper towels at the resort restrooms; recycling containers in the room and all over the grounds... The resort is also big on QR codes - everything - menus at a la cartes, information, maps etc is done by scanning QR codes, so get your phones ready, lol. But some printed menus were also available. Covid protocols: basically at the buffets and a la cartes only - entering you have to have your mask on, once seated - mask off. But I have to applaud all the employees of Iberostar - masks on all the time! All in all - a very relaxing and pleasant stay, beautiful grounds, great pools, great food... On day number 2 there - I was already planning extended family /more relatives/ possible stay here next year :) And special "thank you" to our Tripcentral agent for being on top of everything and sending us helpful informational e-mails every step of the way and answering our questions promptly. Tripcentral website is my favourite site to go to and explore possible vacations! Great vacation! Makes it easier to go back to work to be able to plan another great stay!

Wonderful resort with beautiful grounds, amazing beach and wonderful restaurants. Grounds were meticulous. Staff were very friendly. Entertainment Shows were very good . Our rooms were very clean. We were celebrating our Anniversary and received champagne in our room for our arrival as well as dinner reservations at the Italian restaurant.

We are a 60ish couple that have stayed at this resort 7 times in the past 14 years. We have always had a great experience but as with any resort there are pros and cons. The Iberostar Punta Cana is a traditional style resort that is well maintained, everything is clean and the staff are great. The common areas are updated, the rooms are clean with excellent housekeeping but do show signs of age. If you are looking for that trendy brand new feel then this probably isn’t the resort for you but if you like a well maintained old world Spanish feel then this place is great. Food is above average, never a problem finding appetizing stuff to eat here, never a problem getting a drink either, staff are attentive. The beach is on one of the nicest stretches of Bavaro in my opinion. Lots of sandy area and the surf isn’t as high here as other sections due to the proximity of the reef. You can go for walks in either direction, lots to see and many people doing the same thing, a great way to spend time in the sun. Shows are varied and the enthusiastic animation team do a great job to keep you entertained. This is not a party resort altho there is a disco as part of the complex away from the main accommodation area. At nights the pool area is quiet. Beware tho … Back in the mid 2000’s there used to be timeshare salesmen lining the walkway to the buffet, you had to run that gauntlet every time you went to eat which was tiring to say the least … then for many years all that stopped, clear sailing which was awesome. Well, it has returned, but not in the way you would expect … When you check into the resort you are assigned a concierge who sits with you and gives you information on the resort as well as takes your à la carte reservations. The next day when you pick up you reservation slips and they think they have your confidence they sneak in a request for you to attend a 1.5 hour “presentation” on some kind of deal they have cobbled together involving discounts on the premium services at this and other resorts in the area. Oh, and there is a $100 gift (a useless one) for attending … humm, sounds a lot like a variation of the old timeshare scam to me. When the concierge saw I was less than interested he even tried to guilt us into attending with “oh, will you just do it for me …” how pathetic is that … I abruptly ended our relationship at that point. NOTE TO IBEROSTAR MANAGEMENT … people don’t travel long distances and spend a ton of cash to get hustled on their vacation, you are a chain that I always considered above this kind of conduct … stop it! Bottom line tho is this is a great 4 starish resort with high standards, great food, great staff, great shows, great beach, two thumbs up on all that … just beware of the concierge …

Everything about this resort was great except for the food. The grounds, pool, beach and staff were excellent. The rooms were good and clean but somewhat tired looking. The food was cold, over cooked or undercooked, over salted and generally not nearly as good as other resorts even Cuban resorts.

This resort was lovely, the grounds were so well kept, the room we had 5155 was great, close to the pool area with a garden view as well as ocean view. The food at all the restaurants and buffets was delicious, something always for everyone. The beach is beautiful and always lots of choices for chairs and palapas. We loved that the Iberostar company is working hard with their wave of change to help with the effects of climate change. We were treated so well from beginning to end by the friendly staff.

Hotel staff - extremely friendly and helpful Room - very clean and kept very well throughout our stay Maid staff - attended to any requests promptly (I.e. extra towels) Pool - very nice, cleaned everyday, great for swimming and activities. One was deeper than the other and it has a kiddie pool for toddlers Beach - clean white sand, great swimming Buffet Restaurants - good variety of food, fresh egg station at breakfast, fresh pasta station at lunch and dinner, friendly restaurant staff that go out of their way A la carte Restaurants - great ambience, food okay Entertainment - the entertainment team at this resort is amazing. From the day time activities to the evening shows they take any opportunity to get to know you during your stay. Every night is a different show and very entertaining. We will miss the entertainment team the most Bartenders - fantastic. All drinks are served with a smile and excitement. They know your drinks as you stand at the bar. Concierge - our concierge was Heney and he was amazing. He was always there to help in whatever we needed. And provided is with any information about the Dominican we required. Spa - I am so glad we had a massage. It was absolutely relaxing and gave us access to the jacuzzi, saunas (dry and wet), bubble bath and much more. Such a relaxing environment. They offered swimming classes for kids. Overall Highly recommend this resort particularly if you have children

The grounds, pool and common areas were very clean. The staff were extremely friendly and accomodating. Everything was within walking distance to your hotel rooms. I.e. The pools, buffet and the beach were all close together without feeling cramped.

We had an absolutely great time, the staff were friendly and helpful, the resort, beach and pools were beautiful and well maintained, the food was good and as plentiful as the drinks, the nightly entertainment was fun and the only time we had an issue (room wasn't cleaned when we returned one day) the staff was quick to rectify.

We like this resort . It was our third time there. The last time we were there was 2013. There are some things different from the last time we were there. One of the pools was redone and now the other one will be in the summer. It really needs it. The food was good. We could always find something good to eat. The room could use a bit of a refresher. The Wifi...internet was awesome. We got full bars anywhere we were on the resort and it was free. Maria, one of the pool waitresses is so awesome. Everyone loves her. I was disappointed that because it was our 3rd time there that they did nothing special for us. Also we only had one day that housekeeping made a design with the towels. The weather was beautiful and I love the beach so much.

The resort was well thought out; with building locations, pathways, covered walk ways, landscaping and restaurant locations. The staff are great and the entertainment staff put a great deal of effort to entertaining their guests. The food was good; especially the variety of fish. The beach is class 1. Communication of daily activities was lacking. Most resorts have notice boards detailing each days activities or special events. Guests have to request information from staff daily and sometimes the info is wrong. Overall good for an older resort.

This place had everything we needed for a nice fly and flop, the rooms where clean and pool was awesome all new chairs which where very nice, the resort overall was very well manintained, The only real problem was they have to try and keep the food a little warmer and food was only average, but you could always find something to eat for sure, The pool staff bar tenders are the best very nice and do a great job making you feel welcomed. Lori and Jensky where the best bar tenders I have ever had in Domican.

Huge pools, small beach area, was hard to find a spot if you didn’t get there super early. Beautiful steak house on the beach in the sand. Loved the ocean view from the seafood restaurant. Felt brushed off by staff. We did enjoy our stay.

The hotel was amazing. When we first booked in it was a long wait and when we finally registered we did not receive a lot of info so we had to go back twice to get all the instructions, but the staff was ok once we got it straightened around. The rooms themselves were clean, spacious and cool as soon as we entered. The food was plentiful, well displayed and delish. The ocean was a bit disappointing as it was rougher than I expected and the seaweed was overwhelming. The pool was fantastic and we enjoyed the whole week lazing about dreaming.

The hotel is outdated, the buffet doesn't have that much of a selection. Employees barely speak English. We requested extra sheets 4 days in a row for our son who wanted to sleep on the pull out coach and we never received that or an extra pillow. The a la carte restaurants were just ok. If you go, make sure you do the seafood one, that one was the best. The housekeeping cleaning of the rooms daily was very poor. Beach and pool area were way too busy.

The hotel was beautiful exceptional upkeep easy to access everything. Always something to do with amazing staff. Breath taking grounds and environment The food was always great with a huge selection. I certainly would recommend this resort and am planing to go back

Our trip, from start to finish, was great! The rooms were clean and well-stocked, the food was very good and the pools and beach were awesome! Mignolia served us at the buffet almost everyday and made mealtimes very pleasant! Everything was easily accessible and many food and bar options available all day and night! All the staff at the resort were very friendly and accommodating! We’ll be back:)

We stayed over New Years Eve !! Had a wonderful time. The grounds were very well kept, and because it was the holidays mini lights and Christmas lights were strung in every hedge and palm tree. The staff made sure we had a good time. Great Iberostar in the DR.......as always.

The hotel was well taken care of, despite the age of the facility. Great service, good food, and lots of entertainment! There was lots of staff at the restaurants, bars, beach, etc. My only complaint was that the a-la-carte restaurants were almost completely booked when we arrived, so we couldn't get into the restaurants we wanted...besides that, a very good resort.

The big benefit was the room close to the pooland the beach (no long walk or buggy ride !) For the cost and the perceived reputation ar Iberostar I expected a more "holiday" room versus a very basic room. There were no problems with the room but I was disappointed in the warm of the room. I wouln't discourage anyone from going there but I will fine something different the next time for myself. Happy with the foof and food service. Victor

The resort was very quiet and comfortable. The guests seemed to be more in the senior age group which suited us just fine. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the staff was very pleasant and helpful.

Rooms are dated - clock didn't work, rust in shower, no water pressure, sliding door did not lock Food was not good - I am still trying to get my stomach back to normal I would never recommend the resort

Our rooms were 5052 and 5053 -- awesome room location near the pool -- very happy that the resort placed our family side by side (often those requests are made and not honored by resorts) -- The restaurants and buffets were excellent and we had wonderful service The flight was great as well -- no complaints about this trip!

Beautiful beach. Room was nice, nothing extravagant. Paid for ocean room but no ocean seen! Front desk agreed it was deceptive when we brought it to their attention. They did nothing to compensate...maybe a simple bottle of champagne would of been better than nothing. Food was excellent as was the staff around the whole resort. We were spoiled by a special waitress, Yenice!! She always welcomed us daily with laughter and smiles....remembering our likes and orders. People like this can solidify a travellers return to the resort. The entertainment was fantastic...great team. Overall it was a great stay. Thanks for the memories!

An absolutely awesome resort! The food options, accommodations and staff were the best I've ever experienced! Even all the clouds and rain couldn't overcome my stay at Iberostar! I arrived last minute to surprise my best friend and family of almost 30, and celebrate dad's 90th! Mistakenly, I booked the Punta Cana and the group was at the Dominican. Without hesitation reception staff were willing to get me transferred to the next resort over. It was splendid. Fabulous week of family joy! And I was so lucky to experience it all at such a beautiful and accomodating resort! Slight issue on departure day when my ride to the airport didn't show. Many conversations with the bell boys, then suddenly realized my pick up location was never changed to the Dominican from the Punta Cana....where I checked in! Bell Hop guy quickly made a deal with another driver to get me to the airport as soon as possible. Just on time! The gardeners, cleaning staff of all kinds work hard and do amazing jobs throughout the resort. I definietely want to return with my family

We stayed for one week at this resort. This was our sixth vacation to Punta Cana and our fourteenth all inclusive.The grounds are beautifully kept and our room was very clean with absolutely no issues.The beach is beautiful with very scant seaweed seen. The food was beautifully prepared with a wide variety of choices.The staff are fabulous and this is what makes the resort so special !!!

I was at the Iberostar Punta Cana 5 years ago and I must say that it has improved greatly. I have stayed at the Iberstar Varadero in Cuba and thought the one in Punta Cana had a long way to go to catch up, but I think it is now there! On our trip this March, the food, staff, animation team, guest services and entertainment were all wonderful. Guest services went out of their way to ensure we received wonderful service and receive good restaurant bookings. The circus show was the best I've seen and I was so impressed. The 4 pm food and drink special down at the beach and pool restaurant every day was a nice touch. Also, the table outside the buffet set up each night with appetizers was terrific for those who had late dinner reservations and wanted to have a snack with their pre-dinner cocktail at the entertainment bar. For us older folks, the band playing every night on the Punta Cana side was also a nice touch. The only thing that hasn't changed is the vendors that are brought in one of the nights. Being Canadian, we greatly dislike aggressive behaviour, so tend to stay away. I think we would have shopped more if they weren't so aggressive (although, they were very nice). My daughter had a great time meeting other high school seniors from Halifax and a couple of young people from Argentina and because of the coziness of the resort, they were always able to find each other. They loved going to the disco and Karaoke bar every night and the fact that the buffet was open for 24 hours, was a huge bonus. I liked the fact that because of the mix of nationalities and age groups, it wasn't run over with spring breakers. Thank you Iberostar Punta Cana for making my daughter's graduation/birthday present so special!

Grounds were very well kept and all staff were courteous and friendly and very concerned with our enjoyment.Rooms were very clean even in the Punta Cana hotel, however we upgraded to the 'grand' and the difference was like night and day.Top notch room and washroom,very new!!Adults only, no kids under 18.valet and room service 24/7. What an absolute treat!!Even with all this good stuff, I found the buffet food to be sub-par.We tried the buffet at the Punta-Cana, the Dominica then the Grand and all were ok but by no means great.I was very disappointed at the Grand especially at the higher priced suites and the food being mediocre to OK at best.

The first time we arrived we were starving and was encouraged to eat before we checked in . The food was horrible and inedible and we thought we had made a major mistake in travelling (terrible feeling to think the whole vacation was going to be like that on day 1) The food did get a little better but mid way through the vacation I got terribly sick with food poisoning to the point I was hospitalized for a day and a half resulting in us missing our excursion that we could not get our money back from. When we complained we got the standard line that they have quality controls on the food they prepare and no one else was sick but if others complained they would let us know....right! We also fell prey to their "orientation" which did not last the 90 minutes but the whole day with pressure sales to sign up for their time share although they don;t call it that. I did sign up but then called to cancel the next day which was another wasted 2 hours as they continued to convince us we were doing the wrong thing. They ended up charging us $500 canadian to get out of the contract! As a result our vacation was not a vacation as I really could not enjoy the all inclusive as i was placed on a restricted bland non alcoholic diet for 15 days . Don't waste your time and money. There are many other wonderful places and resorts where you truly can have a vacation

* The rooms are a bit old and need upgrading as things are showing wear. Beside lamp keep falling down and showed all the wires. They fixed it but it kept happening. * room fridges don't get cold and the air conditioning barely works. We switched rooms and it was the same. * Maids are excellent at cleaning the rooms * Lots of shade options for those who don't want to sit in the sun * Internet wifi charges are ridiculously expensive * Food is excellent except for the a la carte Seafood restaurant - The reservations were all messed up, didn't get what we ordered, ordered surf & tutf and the steak was very over cooked, we got sick after eating there I think it was the sushi * Staff is friendly, VERY clean hotel * Hotel gift shop sells fake Michael Khors bags for the price of real ones :-( * Lounge chairs are very good and comfortable * It was expensive compared to other resorts we've stayed at

The resort was lovely the people super nice and very attentive. My only issue was the insane hard sell of the star club I said not interested repeatedly my husband unfortunately got us involved with a tour and it took us a while to get away from the sales lecture .I will not accept a free vacation with a sales pitch attached why would I take time out from our vacation to listen to the hard sell. Other than that, our ac was fixed promptly the food was great and life was good though losing a day to a commercial was very unfortunate

I was at the Iberostar in January with my sister and returned in March with my husband so obviously enjoyed the whole gorgeous place. Flying from Hamilton and their proximity to the Punta Cana airport is a fabulous bonus.

This was our first trip to Punta Cana. Overall, we had a good time and the resort is lovely. I thought we were booking into a smaller resort, but found out that there are actually three Iberostar resorts side-by-side, so all in all it's a huge complex and very busy with lots of people. A fair bit of walking is required to get around to all sections/restaurants. Sandy beach was very nice and long, good for long beach walks. At the end of Feb/early March it was very windy at the beach and water was very rough. Only a few people actually ventured in to the water as a result. But the pools were protected enough that the wind was not a problem. Pools are very nice but the water was cold, not heated. Both the beach and pool areas have plenty of palapas for shade, but they are taken early, so you do have to get there early to get a lounger in the shade (after 10:00 you'd have a hard time finding two loungers together). Overall the food was adequate. I thought the buffets were pretty good, but none of the specialty restaurants were great, they were mostly just adequate ... if I had to choose, I'd say the Mexican restaurant was the best of the bunch. We stayed in a junior suite which was a little more expensive than the standard rooms and situated in a building close to lobby, bar, theatre and buffet restaurant. The standard rooms are situated in two buildings close to the pool and beach and a beach buffet restaurant, but a little walk from the lobby, etc. With the junior suite you are a 'club' member and are supposed to get a number of upgrades. When we checked in we received none of those and we had to ask several times to get most of those upgrades but we never did receive the nightly turn-down service (not that we cared that much). One of the 'club' upgrades was one hour per person/day wifi which normally costs $3.00/hour. All in all, a good vacation and I'd recommend the resort, but I'd personally try a different resort if I visited Punta Cana again.

This is an amazing resort, the grounds are beautiful. We stayed in the Romantic Suites which are close to the lobby and buffet restaurants. The beach is awesome with white sand and blue water. The bartenders (Leo and Francisco) in the lobby bar are top notch, they will remember you every time you sit down and are always smiling. My only complaint is the a la carte restaurants, we went to the steakhouse, seafood and mexican. Our last night was at the mexican restaurant and after waiting one hour for our meal we ended up walking out and went to the buffet.

The hotel was maintained daily, friendly staff, great crew of entertainers. Food wasn't the best but was fresh. Rooms were always cleaned daily and mini bar stocked daily. Beautiful beach access and great pool side options to catch the sun. It's a great hotel for the value, I would recommend upgrading your package to gain wifi perks!

my husband and I were at the Punta Cana Iberostar from December 4-11 2014. Doris, took care of our room, Richard helped us at checkin, Marcos was amazing at the restaurants! Buffet and a la cart restaurants were some of the best we have ever had, and even the red wine was good! would go again and i rarely go back to the same place twice.

A review was previously written to the agent who took my reservation and she never replied back. Therefore I feel it is not worth my time to explain all over again my experience that happened back in April. I will not refer this resort to anyone nor will I ever go back.

We travelled the first week of May. In our family there are 2 adults and a 16 &19 year old. We traveled by Transat and love that airline. Checkin was very quick, we travelled with another family with the same age kids. I had emailed the resort a few weeks ahead and asked if all 4 rooms could be in the same building and on the same floor. I never heard back from the resort so I wasn't sure what to expect at check in. We were all put together,4 rooms in a row. That started a great start to the trip. The resort is very well layed out, not a far walk to anywhere. A great place for families with small childern.if you had to run back to the room it wasn't far. The grounds are beautifully kept. There are 2 buffets that had different items every evening. We only went to the steak house and really enjoyed it. We preferred the buffet though. The beach grill had nachos, fries, burgers, pasta and so much more. Perfect for afternoon snacking. We went on 2 excursions. The caterman and the dune buggies. We enjoyed both and would highly recommend them. We preferred the beach over the pool. There are lots of umbrellas and chairs. Youdo do have to up early to get the first couple rows of umbrellas. Housekeeping, servers, entertainment teams, lifeguards and all the staff do a great job. Thank you Iberostar for a great family vacation.!!

As a family we truly enjoyed the Iberostar Punta Cana, resort. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by our room, we found it to be very comfortable. We had emailed the resort ahead of time to ask that our kids (older teens) be close to us and to be midway of the resort and they accommodated us nicely. We were pleased with our location. The resort itself is nicely laid out and everything is located quite conviently. The buffet and drinks were excellent, and we tried the steak house ala cart, we were also very pleased with the cut of steak provided! The beach and pool facilities were wonderful. We appreciated the fact there was always a spot for us at either site at anytime. The staff was superb always serving. One thing I could appreciate about this resort whether down at the beach, in my room or dining room it was so clean. That is a wonderful attribute to this resort! Also this resort catered to all ages but I must say my older teens had a amazing time. The entertainment crew every night were very polite and mannerly and were excellent hosts to a fun party every night. We booked a couple of excursions and went on the Saona island day on the catamaran, it was a full day of fun, seeing and holding the starfish was amazing. We also did the doon buggies, so fun and again was a full day, we visited a great beach which was beautiful. Our entire time here was full of wonderful memories!
