The resort is small, not a lot to do. The food is mediocure at best. Rooms with an ocean view are treated to the very loud and long shows or weddings until midnight. Lots of locals which the hotel caters too. There is no adult pool area. The staff is very nice rooms and public areas are kept very clean, we will not be back to this resort.

Hotel itself is rundown and in need of maintenance. Rooms were great but maid service was hit & miss. The Italian a la carte restaurant was great, but the variety of food at the buffet was only okay. Staff were great. The disco music was audible from our room, was loud and went until 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning. The pool and swim up bar are nice. The beach is not swimmable in this area.

Stayed Nov/25...great hotel, very clean, kind helpful staff. Beach is beautiful, with plenty of shade and chairs. Grounds were very neat and tidy, as the grounds crew does nice work. The ala carte restaurants were good, especially daytime at the Bluewater grill and the food truck(super fish tacos)!! Buffet for breakfast and lunch was plentiful, great selection, however not crazy about the supper buffet. I did like the taco/sopa options most nights but pirate night buffet was not good. So many great people, I wish I could remember all their names, as I should have written this upon returning. But I do remember Margharito, waiter at the Bluewater! Great guy made me laugh! Warm water but waves were a bit rough, which made for alot of sand in your swimsuit! Lol We were able to walk down the beach a ways and saw the release of baby turtles, which was the highlight of our trip!!

This was a wonderful escape from our Canadian winter weather. Couldn't have asked for better weather. Sunny and 31c everyday. The resort was nice and people were exceptionally friendly. Also, the service was outstanding. Beautiful beach and the sunsets were amazing! Also, we had no issues with vendors or people selling timeshares. Our favorite restaurants were the Italian and the Bluewater grill. However, we were not keen on the buffet or some of the Mexican food. However, this is purely personal taste. If you have children, this is a great place to visit. There are many kids programs available at this resort. If there is an area for improvement, I would suggest perhaps more food/dinner variety.

Travelled Nov 8-15 Resort is dated but rooms are spacious and clean. Staff are all exceptional and very helpful. Food was excellent and delicious! A very safe and beautiful place to visit and enjoy! Thank you all. Too many names to mention but kudos to the entire staff.

Hotel needs some updating. Water temp control on showers needs work to balance more vs hitting extremes (cold and hot). Cafe was excellent. Staff were excellent and accomodating. Dining needs some work. Not much of a selection on buffet items. Italian open every day, but Mexican / Grill restaurant were not. Grill sandwiches were excellent.

We just arrived back from a week stay at Sunscape Dorado. We upgraded to Sunclub, which I recommend, and had a king bed ocean view room. Our room was clean, spacious and had an amazing view. Staff are fantastic at this resort - very friendly and hard working. Food was good, we were always able to find something suitable for us and our tween child. Loved the restaurant near the swim up bar and the Sun Club restaurant for lunch. We didn’t try the Italian restaurant, as it was adults only, but wished for another option, as sometimes the only other dinner option was the buffet/Mexican. Lounger saving is a problem - people would put towels on them really early and then not use them for hours later (or not at all). I think if they are empty for an hour, staff should remove them. We did the snorkeling excursion to Ixtapa Island, which was wonderful. We loved seeing the variety of fish in the coral reef. You can swim in front of the resort, but you have to time it pretty carefully, so you don’t get knocked out by the large waves. My husband and I both learned our lesson on that the first day! Overall I recommend this resort and I would return to it one day.

The hotel is older but efficient. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The food and service were ok, I was always able to find something I liked at the buffet. Entertainment crew worked very hard to make everyones vacation enjoyable however seen as I only speak english I felt like an outsider since they only spoke in spanish and rarely took the opportunity to engage the outside visitors. I would have enjoyed participating more if I could have understood them. Lots to do in the area which is what drew me to this resort in the first place. I would rate this resort 3.5 mainly due to the age and the language barrier.

The Sunscape Dorado Pacifico was amazing! Everyone from the desk staff and Bellmen, to the bartenders, servers and entertainment team were amazing! The sun club privileges were wonderful! Premium beverages were available, and the private air conditioned lounge was fantastic.Having also a private Sun Club area on the beach was definitely a bonus. The hotel was extremely clean, the garden areas are very lush and well groomed landscaping is seen throughout the resort. The food was quite delicious and with so many options for breakfast, lunch and dinner available it was hard not to overindulge! Several theme nights for dinners were also hosted and very tasty! There is an area in the lobby that posts all of the daily activities and everything that you can participate in at the resort each day, which is very helpful when trying to make your plans. The resort offers several activities such as bicycle tours of Ixtapa and cooking classes, dance classes, Spanish classes and activities for the children. There is also a food truck in the children's area that has many kid friendly options. The rooms were well equipped and the beds were extremely comfortable. Water pressure was awesome and maid service was fantastic! While a bit challenging at times to get pool-side beach chairs together, we always managed to find a couple available most times of the day. The pool was large enough to entertain adults and children all day long, and the entertainment team kept everyone engaged in pool activities. The beach is covered with the most luxurious sand! A few steps from your beach chair and you are ankle deep in cool ocean waters! This resort is definitely a must do for singles, couples and families. We’ve been going to this resort for years. Staff are incredible!! Food has gone downhill. We never had a hot meal. Food was lukewarm to cold except at the buffet if you were lucky. The Italian restaurant pasta used to be amazing but now it is inedible. No flavour. The beach is the best! Pool was very crowded with local visitors with a lot of children. Beds are comfortable but pillows need upgrading. We’ve always loved this resort but now considering going elsewhere. We can’t say enough good about the staff throughout the resort! They truly are the best!

The hotel has changed drastically from years past, the air Canada person is all over the map with the cost for COVID rapid test, some paid 40pp some 80pp then I heard as high as 100pp, all USD, this is so wrong in so many ways. Air Canada should be ashamed of themselves for the inconsistency of there representative. What a money grab from the rep for the airline in Mexico. The cost for prepaid seats of 196.00 for extra leg room, air Canada double sold these seats…, next time I travel I’m going with a smaller independent travel agent other then your outfit. Your to hard to get a response from, customer service is the worst I’ve ever experienced in all the years booking through your company or dealing with air Canada.

Excellent facilities. Comfortable room. Lovely view of the beach and ocean. Great food, except for the Italian restaurant, which needs to add more tomato based sauces to their pasta. Also serve true bruschetta bread, Italian crusty bread infused with olive oil, basil, oregano, topped with chopped Mexican tomatoes. Fantastic staff, always helpful and cheerful! We'll be back!

A little underwhelming considering the reviews. Resort is tired and under-staffed. “Activities” Personnel were more interested in playing volleyball ( and winning) than letting guests play. 5 staff on the court (between both sides) and 6 guests standing on the sidelines, waiting for an opportunity. Also, head activities guy with the whistle served 5 straight high-speed serves to the little guy ( 11 years old ) so that his side could win the game. Sad, really.

The entire trip...right from the reservation to flight to shuttle to resort was so efficient and so easy. Making it relaxing from the moment we left. The flight was direct and the shuttle was waiting for us when we got through customs. The resort was small but clean and had just enough to meet our needs. Actually great value for your money. We enjoyed the food, the pool and the beach. We took a cab to zhiuatinjo and felt completely safe. All in all I’d give it a 5 out of 5.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel between Feb 6-13, 2020. The grounds and hotel was kept very clean. The staff were freindly and easy going, very nice. Most of the guest are repeaters, from US and Canada. This made meeting people easy and converstations flowed in and out of the pool. The hotel is a little dated, however, the staff made the visit lovely. The food was displayed every day. There was more mexican food on the buffets. If you crave something different there are lots of restaurants across the street who love Canadians. The location is amazing. We enjoyed our visit.

The grounds are awesome for family's. The food was good not great. The only downside was the waves on the beach can be a little much for the young ones, just make sure you listen to the life guards and your fine.

The staff were totally amazing!!! The grounds and the swimming pool are fantastic!!! Great for children and adults. I would definitely go again!!! Entertainment every night for both young and old. The food, wow the options were endless!! Close to all shopping. I would definitely go back!!

This hotel is over priced. The rooms are ok but many had plumbing issues. The food is mediocre and there is not much selection. Pools are nice but very limited chairs so you have to get up early to reserve. Street location is very good! Close to markets and shops and very good restaurants.

This resort is nothing fancy but makes up for it in other ways. Very clean, service was amazing, and food was good (not a ton of variety but was all good). Minus it being Easter break for the locals and it being bombarded with children on the weekends, it was a great trip. Probably would not return because of the amount of kids and lack of adults only area (one on the beach with terrible old beach chairs that turned into more of a smoking area). Did not have sunclub, and did not ever wish we had it. Only thing that is better is that you get cans of beer instead of draft, premium liquors and wifi. Wifi in lobby was good. Beach was beautiful and great for morning walks. Ixtapa itself is also very very safe and has beautiful walking and biking paths! “Air Canada Vacations” on the other hand was terrible. We had a shuttle to the hotel and were told that our flight back was the last direct flight out of Ixtapa being the end of season. Well the morning of the day we flew home we got an email saying our flight was cancelled. I got in touch with the air canada rep in Ixtapa and he said there was nothing to worry about and they just changed the flight number. To then get to the airport and wait 2 hours for 50 people to check in and have our names “not in the system” along with 6 or 8 others. Long story short they switched the size of plane and it did not fit everyone that was booked. We ended up getting the last three seats but a family of 4 and a couple others were being sent on the milk run home and it was said they may not get home for a couple extra days. (Ixtapa, México city, Houston, Vancouver) Our bags also did not show up when we got back to Vancouver, but somehow showed up the next day. Overall I would recommend the resort, especially for those with kids! But NEVER fly with Air Canada

this was our first trip as a family and my 2 year old got very sick. He was sick for the entire trip. then my 4 year old got sick as well. on top of that our room was next to a disco that played very loud music u till 4am. I almost lost my mind on the 3rd day. it seemed like no one cared and they werent eager to help. we had also run into a handful of people whom also had gotten sick. The rooms are also crawling with ants. i would not recomend this hotel at all.

The SDP never disappoints! This was our second time a this resort and we love it. The service was excellent, the rooms were clean and the pool was very nice. The food was plentiful and we could always find something that we liked to eat. The snack truck was one of our favorites places to grab a quick bite. If I had to recommend anything, I would suggest that you try and book a room that directly facing the ocean or just off to the side. I would also recommend for couples to book a king bed as they are more comfortable than two double beds. Ixtapa has a lot of places to eat outside of the resort but I would recommend going into Zihuatanejo as the food is slightly cheaper and fresher. We ate at a place called Daniels and it was fantastic but don't get me wrong, great places in Ixtapa as well. Overall, we will continue to come back to this lovely part of Mexico!

WE just returned from a 11 night stay at the wonderful Sunscape Dorado Pacifico in Ixtapa. The resort was great. Rooms were comfortable, food was great and the staff were excellent. The beach was great and the pool and swim up bar was great. There was enough of a variety of food to chose from. The only problem we had was in the bar inside the hotel. The poor bartender had to call the entertainment director to change the channel on the TV. For some strange reason, he wouldn’t let it stay in the bar area.

This is our 5th time in Ixtapa and our second time at the Sunscape Dorado Pacifico. It does not disappoint. The food is excellent, service fantastic and the location is ideal. We see ourselves coming back again and again.

We’ve travelled thru different parts of Mexico and find the combination of perfect beach and waves, friendly staff, food, good for a all inclusive, proximity to two towns that are full of life made this our favourite hotel You almost don’t want to give a good review to keep this area a secret

Sunscape is located on a beautiful beach. Some things could be improved. The rooms are small and a bit out dated. Instead of drawers, they have baskets to arrange in your clothes. The cupboard was super small. The washroom was a good size standing shower. The floors of the property were nice and clean. Ther are not enough restaurants. In the evenings, there was only 1 à la carte restaurant and the buffet available.( which was not even a full à la carte menu, you had to get your appetizer from the buffet!!!) The food at the buffet was very limited by choice and very mediocre. The caravan snack was good but very busy at lunch. Janet the waitress over there was super nice!! The service was great. Staff was nice and smiley. The reception staff were less friendly than others, apart from Daniel who was super nice!! The Sunwing representative Orion was at the property every day and was very helpfull by getting us to check out later than noon. The pool is nice and big with 2 slides. The beach was amazing!!

Because we had been too this resort a few times were told too Upgrade Too Sun Club Ocean view room we would get a upgrade to ocean front room. Arrived gave us a room with no view of ocean front and a broken door no latch looked kicked in. gave us another room and told by a wonderful porter named Freddie too come back tomorrow he would try too help get us a upgrade, he is awesome and definately a plus too the Hotel. Got a upgrade next day made our stay much happier. That said they do need too spend some money on room upgrades, locks door frames , bathroom renos. But too go there for the staff awesome, look up Simon and Carlos swim up bar they are the best, Look up Luis at pool bar young, English is fantastic we loved him and also Antonio Waiter at the main pool for drink,. Also love Victor and Aaron at the Lobby bar awesome guys and Marcelo from Sun Club Lounge These are extremely hard workers that have been there all the times we have been there, so we will go back just too see them.

This was my second time staying at the Sunscape Dorado Pacifico. The food is great, drinks are amazing, staff are helpful/friendly and the place is clean and presentable. The beach at the resort is fantastic and I enjoy the shows they put on for entertainment. My only complaint would be add more seats to the swim up and outdoor bars.

This was our second time at this resort . And no disappointments at all . Staff bend backwards to make your stay a happy one . Serving staff exceptional, maid service was good and always had a clean room and Fridge re stocked daily . Food was great . Could change up the menu a bit in the other restaurants like Blue water etc but still awesome . Over all a relaxing enjoyable vacation and yes I would go Back a third time .

The Sunscape Dorado Pacifico all inclusive resort is one I would recommend to anyone visiting the Ixtapa Zihuatanejo area. The staff in all areas are very friendly and helpful. They make you feel welcome and safe. All areas of the resort are very clean. The resort is compact but not cramped. You can get anywhere without walking very far. The main pool is a good size so it's never crowded. It's also great that flotation devices are permitted to make the pool experience an even more enjoyable one. The staff even blow them up for you which is an added bonus. The meals in all the restaurants are average and lacking in variety from day to day. The spa is very clean but pricey. Check in and check out is exceptionally friendly and quick. The staff at the reception desk are extremely helpful with any question you may have or any service you may need including ordering a taxi or making a reservation. All in all I'm very happy with the experience and would definitely return to this resort.

My wife and our three girls (23,19 & 19) really enjoyed Sunscape. The best quality about this resort is the service, top notch. Antonio, Uli and Carlos were simply amazing! Thanks guys! The rooms were very clean and comfortable and they stocked your fridge every day. The food was very good, we always found something we liked on the menu/buffet. The Italian al la carte was excellent. They also have a snack truck which was great for lunch items. The pool was designed perfectly. The pool bar on one side of the bridge, then a large section for those who like to chill on the other side and then another section where the water slides are. There was lots of seating around the pool except it was disappointing as all the good spots are taken by those who get up at 5 in the morning and they stay down there until the towels are distributed at 7:00 am. Very territorial as we called it. There is not a lot of seating on the beach as its mainly for Sun Club people and if there was seating, its muskoka chairs. We actually rented a palapye bed on the beach for 30US which included a bottle of white wine and it was fantastic. Very comfortable and private. We have stayed at many other resorts in Ixtapa and I can honestly say that the Sunscape so far has been the best resort and we highly recommend it. This was a great trip.all the way around.air Canada rep meeting us was very cool walked us right to the check-in when we returned. The hotel was fabulous..clean and user-friendly. Staff was the best..friendly always asking if you need something. The pool was nice and real close to the beach. Food was outstanding. Only drawback was there's staff working with others agencies selling timeshares. So they kind of hound you..FYI.this is a family resort..lots of kids.was good for us a we have a 10 yr old.. we went Nov 4/11. Black flag last 3 days as the waves were.11ft..high besides the timeshare sellers this was a fantastic vacation looking forward to our next stay..deluxe ocean view was our room..view was breath talking...

We are returning next year as we totally enjoyed our stay. The Hotel is on a beautiful beach, in a perfect location to shops and off resort activities also. The accommodations were great! The restaurants were great. No line ups for our stay, in February 2017.

From check in to check out was great , the SERVICE, grounds and all the people we met were great . The waters were rough but that didn't bother us was great to see and hear the power of the crashing waves. Like to add the town was nice to visit being right across the street Thanks again

This was an amazing hotel. From comments we heard, most other hotels were not as nice as this one. The rooms were very nice, ocean view. 4 elevators, kept very clean. The resort was beautiful. Well kept, clean, service was amazing. Everyone spoke very good English. They went out of their way to accomodate your requests. Food was very good esp in a la cart restaurants. Town was right across the road for shopping and restaurants and casino. The pool was awesome with swim up bar as was the beach. Can walk for a mile on beach which was extremely clean. Water bit too rough for much swimming but that was fine. Both the pool and ocean was very warm. Lot of Canadians there. We would definately go back.

Everything met or surpassed our expectations. The staff is amazing always going out of their way to serve you. Great facilities, everything is close by and contained. Very quiet resort, entertainment is average. The beach is nice and the waves were big which is great if it is what you like. There is a few time sharing people (calling themself concierge) in the lobby trying to convince you to attend a presentation in exchange of discounts or free excursion. Booking with tripcentral was a breeze, Amanda was very professionel and helpful.

Everything was very clean, well maintained, staff was friendly and most accommodating. Food was delicious, good service, nice beach We enjoyed the entertainment A very happy stay! Highly recommended

I would start with a description or label for the staff at the Sunscape Golden......Excellent!!!!! Smiles and Yes are abound, very professional. Located mid centre of a mile long beautiful white sand beach on approx 5 acres of well maintained palm adorned property. Not a mega hotel while still offering ample features. Multiple pools, bars,and eating areas all above average. Tennis,trampoline,basketball,volleyball,and fitness centre for the restless and lots of sunny or shady areas to lounge for the restful. Dining is suited to accommodate most all pallets,both indoors or on outdoor patios. The 24 hr coffee and pastry bar....Brilliant. No wrist band! Loved it!!!! Finally found a place for a real vacation without a kings ransom price.

Great Spot, very friendly staff, Helpful....Everyone spoke English my safe had to be reset and my phone was not working. within five minutes one gent came to my room and fixed the phone as well another fellow fixed my safe. very clean, nice rooms, shopping, restaurants, bars, clubs, casino literally across the street. walk down the beach seafood restaurants, massage tents, would recommend it great value

Arrived late afternoon and had a quick check in . Front desk organized and knowledgable. Room was as we hoped from pictures and previous reviewers--clean and reasonably up to date. Had an amazing partial ocean view which to us was just as good as oceanfront. Only issue was it was too sunny and hot on the balcony to sit out and enjoy. Food was ok. Usually buffets in previous all inclusive we've stayed in had a pasta and salad bar. Very poor salad bar and non existent pasta except for Italian night. A la carts were our favourite. Wine was very good which is a big plus as this is all I drink. Beach was beautiful and fairly long which we enjoyed. Parasailing was done by many as at least 2 out at a time . Massage huts on beach plentiful but can be bothersome as ran out to solicit business when they see you. I tried hut 21 for 200pesos 1 hour massage and highly recommend. The sun and warm temps is what we really came for and were not disappointed. Many nationals , not only in our hotel but others as well which didn't bother us as are respectful and pleasant. I hope we were not bothersome to them. We probably would not return to this hotel as we rarely revisit the same hotel, but many people we talked to return each year and sometimes twice. Absolutely no complaints about staff--work very hard to keep you happy.

The resort is beautiful. The food is totally acceptable at the buffet. The afternoon restaurant by the pool not bad. The evening restaurants not so much. Pool was great. There were six of us together so we did have to get up about six to get six chairs together. The surrounding area was very safe. Ate at Frank's. Great atmosphere. Food not so much considering you are paying Canadian Pub prices. Was told on our last day there that there is a resort down the beach that has crocodiles or alligators that they feed everyday at 3:00 and you can go watch. Didn't get to go watch but you should ask so you don't miss it if it is true. Everything is very close. Staff is great even though we did not see very much tipping going on. Shout out to - front desk staff including Odibel and Alima; Entertainment - Jesus, Alex and Imer; Bell Boy - Felipe; UVC - Cesar and Mario. Stayed in room 1402. Awesome room with a great view thanks to another great staff member Raul Vazquez. Repeat customers are very common at this resort. Con and probably a deal breaker for me - to ruff to go in the ocean. Black flagged everyday but one and it was red. After talking to people that go there a lot this is very common. I love my ocean time.

I recently stayed at the Sunscape with my family (including my husband, 2 teenagers and my 68 year old mother). It was a wonderful vacation. This is by far my most favourite vacation. I can’t say enough about how friendly and pleasant each and ever staff member was. We purchased a Sun Club membership and it was well worth what we paid for it. Included in the Sun Club was a private lounge with premium cocktails, snacks, couches with a tv and free use of computers with internet. It also came with wifi in our rooms. The top two floors are reserved for Sun Club members which gave a really nice view. We had purchased an ocean view room, but upon check-in we were given a partial ocean view; which was actually very nice because we had a view of both the ocean and a view of the mountains. I didn`t bother to complain or ask to move rooms as we enjoyed having both views. The bathrooms were stocked with soap, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion (Sun Club also hds a sewing kit and shoe shine). The Sun Club rooms also provided room service (which we never used), bathrobes and slippers. The hotel is a smaller resort which is what we prefer as there is less walking and is less busier at meal times. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The fridge was stocked fully every day with water, beer, coke and orange soda. The maids did a fantastic job of getting all the sand off the floor and even checked in with us at the end of the day to make sure we had everything we needed. The beach at Sunscape is amazing and we enjoyed many hours playing in the waves. The ocean was extremely warm; however the water is dark and I did miss the turquoise caribbean blue water. The food was amazing. Every day was a different theme. Even with a picky eater, there was something at every meal to satisfy all of us. There were 4 restaurants to eat from: the snack bar near the pool and beach, Windows restaurant (which is a buffet), Blue Water Grill which is an a-la-cart restaurant, and the Mario’s Italian restaurant (dinner only). Twice during the week they served a buffet dinner outside in the Court yard. The Coco Café served amazing lattes and cappucinos and had sandwiches and snacks for in between meals. There is a big problem with people reserving chairs with towels around the pool. Sun Club members get to reserve chairs but other people are left without any place to sit, unless they come at 7:00 am. There is a sign posted saying that the items will be removed from chairs if the chair is not occupied within an hour however no one ever came to remove the towels and a lot of the chairs were left unused for a good portion of the day. The hotel is directly across the street from a strip mall including restaurants, shopping, convenience stores, pharmacy; and it is a 10 minute walk to a market where you can purchase souvenirs. However, during the day vendors would walk up and down the beach selling souvenirs to purchase. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely return. In other reviews, complaints were made about not being able to bring a drink with you to your room. This is not the case, you just have to ask for a plastic cup to take your drink with you and the bartender will be more than happy to assist you.

The rooms were adequate, nothing elaborate, but spacious.Al a cartes were delicious with well mannered, attentive servers, buffet was good, all food very fresh and tasty. grounds were well kept and clean, beach was clean and although waves were large sometimes 10 or 12 foot high, many people were body surfing or boogie boarding. Some areas of beach further down were calmer for swimming. spa was amazing, I treated myself to a massage for 38 US dollars, 699 pesos. Shopping, restaurants, nightclubs were within walking distance and you could take the city bus to Zihuateneja for 10 pesos, a gorgeous town with beautiful beaches, cafes, restaurants, lovely colourful buildings, and amazing markets.

I would like to start this review with a special thanks to Mernie Shields from Trip Central. She went above and beyond to find us this wonderful vacation. Ixtapa is the best place that we have been in Mexico. It is small, quaint and the beaches and mountains are spectacular. Sunscape Dorado was beautiful and clean and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Our room was spacious and clean and had an unbelievable view from the balcony. Breakfast and lunch was consistently good but dinner was a bit hit and miss. We went into town for two dinners and that was delicious. Overall. The resort was very good value and we would certainly go again.

We were on the 19th floor with a beautiful ocean view. The room was clean and comfortable and staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was goid. We enjoyed our trip there and would go back. This was our first time at this resort.

This hotel was very nice, not a great experience. The staff was wonderful but had to work extremely hard to keep up with guests requests, due to not enough staff required to accommodate the amount of guests. The food was ok. Restaurants closed much to early. It was very difficult to find food at times during the day. Some days we would travel from restaurant to restaurant only to find closed doors. Many days the only place we could get food was at the espresso and panino bar. Our room was ok. My husband and I had to share a double bed, the mattress had a foam pad on it and was very hard. Our pillows were also filled with small pieces of foam which was very disgusting to sleep with. After viewing our room we immediately put in a request to be transferred to another room but were told there was nothing else available. We tried asking all week but were not moved to better accommodations. My husband and I also had a terrible experience at the spa. After getting a massage from a unqualified staff I suffered neck and head pain which was caused by the terrible massage. After complaining to the manager she arranged an other massage for me to help me recover from the terrible massage I just had. The second massage was fabulous. We had a great week with friends regardless of a few things the can go wrong. The grounds are beautiful and very well keep. The staff was wonderful.

The Doradao was clean, the service was excellent and servers went out of their way to make sure you had all you needed daily. Friendly hotel staff from the maids to the bartenders and secutiry. I felt safe at all times. The food was good, especially the fine dining restaurant. The rooms were clean and the hotel grounds well kept. The entertainment staff worked over time to encourage fun and participation. The beach was awesome and enjoyed the many sunsets night after night. These people have the biggest hearts and truly do what it takes to make sure your holiday is special. Tip for sure becuase they work hard in the hot sun all day and they deserve it. I loved the Dorado and plan to go again soon. Memorable vacation spot.

Overall the resort lived up to our expectations. The food / a la cartes were hit and miss, however the local restaurants made up for it. Excellent staff, beautiful beach, and comfortable rooms. All in all we would stay here again

We enjoyed a wonderful week at the beautiful Sunscape Dorado Pacifica in Ixtapa! Staff and facility are awesome! Will definitely return to this pristine beach and hotel. It was our favourite destination in Mexico!

The resort is always clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The only suggestion I could offer, is that the al a carte restaurants could open earlier, and their should be more options every night. Pleased to note, that the time share people did not pester us, allowing us to enjoy our vacation.

hotel was clean, staff were wonderful and lots to do for adults, kids and families. food was good, but the lunch and evening buffets were at odd times. a room near the disco would be quite loud. we would go again.

Amazing location, we took the bus just outside the hotel and explored various places. The only thing missing is GOOD entertainment in the evening. Otherwise everything else is very good. Will return soon.
