The hotel was perfect. Friendly staff and close to Orient Beach. We enjoyed it because it had a deck with a table and chairs. We ate our lunch on the deck. Breakfast was fabulous. Fruit, coffee, cereal, croissants and hot food.

We have done many all inclusives and wanted something different. Last yr we stayed in Jamaica at a 48 room villa, really enjoyed it and wanted that same experience. Thanks to Jairus at Trip Central, we discovered La Plantation. I don't really want to make this a great review as we would prefer to keep this place to ourselves, but they deserve the recognition. RESORT: Very peaceful. Clean. Comfortable bed/pillows. Air conditioned. Close to everything you need. Staff very helpful and nice. Rental car at the front desk and you are in the car in 20 minutes and good price. Pool/lounging area is updated, clean, relaxing. Its a 5 minute walk to the beach and its beautiful all sand and clean.Complimentary Beach chairs, all were good, we recommend Kontiki. A 7 min walk to grocery, liquor, shops, restaurants. EXPLORE:Get a car, put on your bathing suit and tshirt and explore. Oyster Bay, beautiful beach, go to Mr Buzby's, great food. Grand Case, Lolo's restaurants and others, great food, and out back the beach/lagoon all sand beautiful. Road to Butterfly farm is a quiet beach, restaurant/bar. Anse Marcel, small beach, picturesque. Many others we didn't get to. We didn't do any excursions, we will take these next time. THE BAD: We had to come home. THE GOOD: It ticked all the boxes. All the great reviews were right! We're going back!

The plantation hotel offers an ideal location part way up the hillside to get the ocean breezes and ocean views yet only a short walk to restaurants / bars and the beach. Clean, quiet and comfortable with spacious rooms and huge covered porches / patios. This hotel is not a party place but a quiet place to call home. We would definitely stay here again to visit the Island

La Plantation is a small and simple resort on Orient Bay. It is minimalist in terms of accommodation but clean and quite. We stayed in one of the upper level studios which has a beautiful view of the sea. Our stay included breakfast, which consists of scrambled eggs, fruit, cold cereal, toast, cheese, cold cuts, coffee, tea, juice, yogurt and applesauce. This resort is not on the beach, 10-15minutes walk depending on where your accommodation is located. The resort is spread over a large area so if you don't have a car it requires lots of walking, some parts are hilly. There is a small village with a grocery store - not too pricey depending on what you buy. There are a number of restaurants, a bakery and couple of clothing shops. If you're looking for a quite, restful, relaxing vacation and a simple resort this is perfect. There are no activities on the resort, so you have to make your own entertainment. Also if you're not physically fit ask for accommodation closer to the reception area or get a car. Overall I enjoyed my vacation as just wanted to sit on the beach, eat delicious meals and have some relaxing times. The kitchen could have been a little more well equipped, a kettle, salad bowl, and smaller pots with covers.

The hotel complex is beautiful, well kept and cleaned. The rooms are cleaned efficiently and regularly at predictable times. The studio room could do with an additional sofa. The cover for the sofa that was there was not the cleanest. Could be better insulation between rooms. Amorous couple next door a distraction.
