The hotel was nice clean and comfortable. The food was OK.. but the ice cream wad amazing. All the staff were very nice I have to say thank you so much to Yvonne the sunwing rep... she made everything so much nicer. The beach was out of this world beautiful

We had a wonderful week at Sirenis. We stayed in a junior suite in the main building. Our room was clean and spacious for the three of us. The staff, were all amazing. From the front desk, bell boys, housekeeping, bar and wait staff! They all made sure we had a great time. The food was really good! We ate at the Italian a la carte twice, and was great both times. You have to be at the lobby for 9am to book your a la cartes. The weather was nice, however lots of wind kept us out of the ocean most days, but the pools did the trick on those days. I will definitely be back!!

We traveled from January 21-28, 2025 and it was our first time at the Sirenis tropical. The lobby was beautiful and the resort had two different sections of different pool styles for you to enjoy. À la carte restaurants were good, but not spectacular. Buffet always had lots of fresh fruit and cheese, real eggs and bacon every day! Our junior suite was on the fifth floor in the main building and the bed was the most comfortable stay we’ve ever had in Cuba so far. Would recommend this resort for a mix of people traveling as a family or on a romantic getaway. Staff as usual, always so attentive and smiling! A solid four star resort in my opinion and I have traveled to Cuba nine times.

Sirenis is a very rundown and broken resort. Please don’t recommend this place… When we got to the room we noticed the bedding was not clean. One of our friends toilet was broken and water ran through the room, from the flusher. They asked for another room and were told no as they were full.. this was not true. Very few people here. After the mechanic came 3x’s to fix it I fixed it with a towel so they could use it. Our tv was not working so the mechanic came the cord was ripped off the back. He may have fixed it but he took the batteries so we will never know.. We had 2 cockroaches ? in our room… There was an entire bank of lights leading to our room out, never got fixed. This was a safety issue.. A large window was broken (not boarded up) with shards of glass for anyone to get cut on.. We will never go back to this resort…

Poor room service. Food service was good. Sunwing cayo rooms should invest more into their rooms. For example our shower drain wasn’t draining. TV not working. Phone never worked. Head board is falling apart. Curtains were half ripped, dragging on the floor. Very poor internet. Hallway switch light wasn’t working. Very dark in closets, couldn’t see anything. Had to use my flashlight on my phone to be able to see. We don’t usually complain about our vacations but this one was over the top.

This hotel was pretty great. We stayed in the Cayo Section and loved the location of the beach and only a few steps to the swim-up bar pool. The beach was spectacular, the food was delicious and plentiful. The rooms were decent, could be a little more well kept but good enough to lay our heads at the end of the night. We had a 8 year old and a 16 year old and both had a great time here. We are planning to return!

Cuban owned hotel full of only Russian tourist, stAff is rude, never smiling, even when tipped... No bottled water in the room for 4 days, room cleaning is a joke, no clean towels for days, safety box not working.. Air conditioning was at best working like a fan and with 40 degrees everyday really not fun and actually very uncomfortable. Food was the worst I have ever seen in Cuba and I have Cuban family so I know what to expect.. Roaches all over the buffet and even in the food. Pools are never cleaned nor is there water circulation.. The only good part is the beach... Please listen... Do not book at this hotel!!!

It is our multiple trip to this resort over the last few years. Recently it was our second trip in this year (April 10th and May 29th we stayed for one week). The resort is very clean with very friendly and cooperative staff which happily helped us with some of our requests. Upon my request, as I am a professional musician I was granted the opportunity to have access to play the piano anytime that it was available at this resort. For this reason I would like to extend my gratitude to Mr. Ricardo and Mr. Adriel. Entertainment always had lots of variety, as well as variety of food selection (our daughter is vegan and was quite satisfied with the food selection). Our room housekeeper named Lilian carried out her job well. The high speed Wifi was free for 3 hours and was always renewed (also for free) at the front desk with no problem. There’s a nice beach that was divided into two parts, one across from the main building and another one a few meters further, so there was more than enough room for everyone. There were lots of umbrellas next to the lounge chairs. There was a bungalow section with another swimming pool, beach bar, and Ranchon restaurant. We won’t hesitate to return back to this resort. The price was good: $745 CAD between May 29 to June 5. We strongly recommend this resort.

This is my favourite hotel. I have stayed here many times before Covid and three times since. Of course things have changed over the years not just the name. The management of this hotel are visible, helpful and very professional. The return of full time staff is slim but they work with who they have to do their best. The rooms are clean, towels and linen are fresh daily. I’m not sure what has taken place with the air system but the a/c wasn’t great, could be that there is shortage of gases at this time or the compressor was down. Who knows!!The fan was working. Chlorine is another shortage right now but the pools were clean and warm for a swim. Bar staff are amazing at making drinks of many tastes with what was available. The food is plentiful in all categories, bread and buns are my favourite and yes there was butter every time.

First off I'd like to Thank Frank Reinaldo Yasel Avevoneg Jesus and Dayren and the staff for making our stay a really good 1. It's not a 5 star or even a 4 but the rooms and very nice and very clean thru-out All staff are very friendly and do their best to make your stay as nice as possible. Beach is very nice and with the 2 pools all with in walking distance makes this a easy resort to get around. Food is repetitive but there's always something to keep me full.

I go to this resort for what it has to offer. This is my third time at this resort and will be returning in the near future. The resort itself is beautiful with an open concept to the sunlight and nightfall. The rooms are spacious with king size beds. Nice shower with hot running water. Food was plenty and edible to satisfactory. Somethings can be a hit and miss as hard times have impacted the beautiful country of Cuba. It's life of survival for these Cubans. Bring things like your own toilet paper as it is a high demand and yes it is not available sometimes and would help the shortage. The staff members are very respectful as they are very friendly and are ready to serve you with a smile and open arms. This resort is easy walking distance to the beachside ocean (bring bug spray for the sand fleas as well as mosquitoes for they love people), swim up pool bar and a pool with a side bar. The accommodations of this resort meet my expectations. A few workers to name a few Frank,Reinaldo,Suyami and a few others(not sure of their names) will be missed until next time.

Beautiful resort, unfortunately some parts are starting to be neglected/abandoned and becoming a sore to an eye. Everything else was good as long as you are not too fussy about your meals and drinks. Amazing americanos, better yet with sambucca. Oh … only the room 3222 smelled, mostly at night and they would not change it for us because they were fully booked. But if you turn the air off as we did and open the door , it is quit nice.

Exterior could use some TLC but overall clean. Buffet could use a change from the repetitive food especially at the grill. The gentlemen that worked at the front were wonderful especially Marcos and Alex. The ladies in the buffet are amazing friendly

This is our second time at this resort although it was a different name and we love it there. Everyone is so friendly. The first time was in 2020 right before Covid. A lot has changed since then. The resort was very empty. We stay in the beach club because it’s quieter there but we were disappointed to find out that they are no longer using the buffet there and we had to walk all the way down to the main one. The grounds were very clean and well kept. Every day the gardener would give me a flower when we were going for breakfast. The rooms were clean although twice we didn’t get water and once our towels weren’t changed. The bed was very comfortable. The pool bar was our favourite and we loved Tsunami. She always made us feel welcome and often would see us leave our room and throw us kisses. We spent time before and after supper at the Cohiba bar and the staff was great. It was the only place to get pina coladas but that was ok because we met lots of people there. The food was typical of Cuba and our own ketchup made it tastier but I was a little disappointed that they didn’t have any pasta. We completely understand that it may be hard for them to get so we always found other things to eat since there was a good variety. We loved this resort so much that we plan to go there again next year! Nothing to do with this resort but it would have been nice to have the heads up about what currency is accepted. Some places took only American or credit card, some took Canadian and others pesos. Even the hop on, hop off bus was inconsistent. One day it took only pesos and the next day it took Canadian. Some people we met said they had to pay by American and others said they had to pay by credit card. It’s very confusing.

Not a huge resort but has various sections to please different tastes. There were two main beach sections one quiet and one with music (Italian ans Cuban) and entertainment sustained by a number of Italians visitors and the agency which send them. There was music (not load), gym on the beach, games. Nice sand, just some brocken shells when entering the water which is shallow for at least 50-100 meters - about 4-5 feet. Night entertainment was quite good, they have excellent dancers and Sunday a water ballet show. Main pool was huge and deep on one side (I think more then 7 feet) but not crowded. Also not having decent shade or umbrellas. There is a big bar besides the pool which will also serve some food during the night. A second pool was on the east side of the resort and it appears to be part of a different resort which was united with Sirenis. The pool has a water bar. Not crowded when we were in January 2023. Three restaurants, all closed on Thursday, Italian opened every day, the Mediterranean and Cuban alternatively opened during the week. The reservations were accepted only for one day and could be done starting at 9:30 AM. Should go there earlier to make sure you can get one. The resort has 5 bars, two for beaches (one in the forest lying between the hotel and the beach), two for the swimming pools and one in the atrium. In general the resort is clean and personal friendly. They are happy when you tip them or give them small items but I was served without issues even when I didn't tip. I noticed very few people were tipping at the buffet. We always tip when eating there. Leave an US dollar on the table and also tip the guys preparing the omelette in the morning and the grill (pork and chicken) at lunch and dinner. As recommended by many people is nice to know few words in Spanish. You don't have to be able to keep a conversation but some usual phrases will give you a better service. Food is as usual in Cuba with some exceptions. Grill is good but the fish was missing (we had twice grilled fish in 10 days). Is located far from Varadero and the buses stop running at 6PM.

We are frequent visitors to Varadero. This was our first time at this hotel and we were not disappointed. The hotel is clean, the service is very nice. We highly recommend this place. Only for people with mobility, the hotel is a bit on a slope, so access to the water is mostly by stairs.

We were very satisfied with the hotel. The staff were awesome... helpful, friendly... everyone from reception to gardeners. The food was not bad for Cuba... always fresh fruit, lots of veggies, chicken, pork, seafood etc. Beautiful beach, with another longer one just beyond the rocky point. Resort was about halfway along the peninsula... Varadero was easily accessible by the hop on hop off bus.

The grounds were beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. The activity staff were especially fun, dancing lessons, stretching near the beach every morning. Nightly entertainment. The food was plentiful and nicely presented.

We were given a sea view room on the fourth floor with beautiful ocean view. We love the rooms, big with huge bathroom and waterfall shower. We had coffee maker in our room that we requested as we bring coffee and whitener from home. The hotel was not very full so we had a lot of our meals in one of the a la carte restaurants. A couple of nights they served us like an a la carte. The others it was buffet style but on a much smaller scale. There were always choices of pork, chicken, fish and rice, potato dish. Lots of rolls and desserts. There are many shortages in Cuba right now but we always had bottled water in our room and could buy more at the store. No local beer to buy in store and not much for snacks so bring lots. Biggest difference is currency. We did not change any money. Stores all took credit cards and restaurants and taxis took Canadian money. We were hit with hurricane Ian while there and all of Cuba lost power but our resort had generator and ran on generator for last few days we were there. This meant no air conditioning in the room but it was cooler and we did run the fan. Some resorts I heard did not have generators and people had to be moved to other resorts. Tha staff were amazing, we had excellent maid Yaima and bartenders Frank and Yaimi Mardi. I saw the doctor while there for kidney infection and was treated and he was very kind . We had a great trip overall. We would probably not go in September again just because of hurricane season but we will definitely go back.

Nous avons décidé d’essayer ce resort suite aux commentaires qui semblaient assez bon, c’était une semaine assez tranquille ce qui n’a pas plu à mes enfants de 15, 18 et 21 ans. La nourriture c’est Cuba, il ne faut pas s’attendre à de la haute gastronomie cependant à plusieurs reprises les enfants se sont fait dire qu’il ne restait plus de nourriture au snack bar, le seul ouvert 24h et sur notre groupe de 8 personnes, 6 ont été malades. Les chambres ont été rénovées en façade seulement mais c’était passable, ce qui nous a déplu le plus c’est le service aux chambres, nous n’avons jamais eu de serviettes propres de la semaine, j’ai dû courir pour recevoir du papier de toilette à plusieurs reprises. La chambre n’a jamais été nettoyée, ni la salle de bain, impossible de se faire comprendre en français ni en anglais. Nous sommes allés voir le représentant de Sunwing qui nous a donné aucune aide, en fait, il nous a donné aucune info sauf l’heure du retour. Pour finir en beauté, les plages sont superbes, il y avait des chaises longues toujours disponibles. Bien contente que ce voyage ne m’est pas couté plus de 1000$.

This was our third stay at Labranda and it certainly was another Great vacation. We had a large group of 23 and we were received with smiles and top notch hospitality. This resort is absolutely stunning, the beaches & grounds are beautiful. The staff are always friendly and making sure you are having a good experience. We truly love this resort and are planning another visit in the very near future.

Rooms - oceanview was large and clean. Great views Food - probably the best we have seen in Cuba. Snack bar and 2 a-la-cartes were above-average. Missing fries and orange juice on some days, but not a deal breaker for us. Staff - very good service Beach - Main reason to go to Varadero Lobby and bars - lobby would sometimes have live entertainment and the Cohiba bar was nice as well. We would definitely recommend a stay at this resort.

The resort is beautiful and the drinks are great. The staff could be friendlier and it seemed that they were understaffed. The food was also not the greatest but the beautiful beach made up for it. overall great vacation

The beach with the waves was the best.....kept very clean......and no problem to get a beach chair and cabana.....there was never anyone trying to hassle you.....did run out of hot water a couple of days......would have liked to hear some local musicians playing the country's music......love Cuban music.....and would have liked to have had some dancing on the go

Very clean! The food was good! close to the beach. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Big resort so plenty of walking. The entertainment was good. Plenty amenities. The massage was great went 2 times! the gym was clean and well equipped.

The resort was clean and staff was very friendly. Amazing ocean view rooms. A very short walk to the beach. It was our first time in Cuba The two bartenders Manuela and Davy from the beach bar were fantastic. The food wasn’t the best but we made due.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel from Jan 27-feb 3 2020. We found it to be better than the one we stayed at the year previously which had a 4+ rating. The food was not the greatest, but that is Cuba. They do need to help support the staff at the bars as they were overrun with rude Russians. One person at a bar at 7pm to serve 50+ people is not practical. We enjoyed the beach bar with David and Manuela serving us. The occasional server on the beach was a nice touch as well.

Hotel was clean but dated. Food was good but felt repetitive. Lots of rude Russians were there. Staff was kind and polite. Beach is beautiful. Not enough places are open to get drinks, which results in long lineups. Hotel deserves only a 3 or 3 and a half star, in my opinion. Good value trip though seeing how we only paid $1,610 CDN for two people for one week.

This resort is beautiful and very clean.The staff are very kind and friendly. The animation team was amazing. Shout out to Raul, Denis, Ismael and Elizabeth.The buffet was amazing! People who complain about Cuban food should just stay at home. You will find at least a few dishes you will like. You can always bring condiments from home to Cuba. Amazing resort to go as a couple or family.

My wife and I didn't know what to expect, and given the abundance of conflicting opinions about Cuban all-inclusive vacations, we kept out expectations on the moderate to low end of the scale. We were advised to "keep our stars up when booking in Cuba." Given our modest income, we are not "5-Star" clientele and we didn't have those expectations, so we focused on 3.5 - 4 star properties. Ultimately, we were looking for a clean resort (no mold and mildew in the rooms, no cockroaches or other bugs, clean beds, linens and towels) and a nice beach. I can confidently say that we found that in the Labranda Varadero Resort. Beginning with our flight, the Sunwing flight was efficient and uneventful. It was disappointing though that my wife and I couldn’t sit together on what was our first vacation together since we married in 2016. We booked months in advance, but this didn’t matter. Sunwing should address issues like this. We spent enough money on a vacation that I shouldn’t have had to pay for a seat selection just so I could guarantee sitting beside my spouse. The resort has been renovated fairly recently, and it shows. We stayed in the Beach Club (Building #1 . . . the BEST ocean view!) and the rooms were very clean. On occasion, we had to chase down clean towels, toilet paper, and drinking water, which we've heard is common at most Cuban resorts, but it wasn't too bad, and as a means of self-preservation, we learned how to creatively create a stockpile of these resources. At times, we did feel like a deliberate shortage of these items was created in order for service staff to attend to us and create an opportunity for them to receive a tip, but I don't play that game. A lack of hot water was not really an issue at the resort, as we’ve heard stories from experienced Cuban travelers. The grounds/territory of the resort are quite nice and maintained regularly. The beach is FANTASTIC, and I would dare say the best beach in Varadero (and we did walk the many kilometers up and down the beaches beyond our resort in order to compare). The two rock outcroppings on either side of the resort provide a natural privacy to the public beach. There are plenty of palapas and chaise lounge chairs and non-motorized water sports. The animation team (Bravo Club) was wonderful and provided as little or as much as we wanted to participate in. The only disappointing thing about the beach, but hard for the resort to control is human behaviour. By this, I mean that the utter abundance of smokers who seem to congregate at all-inclusive resorts tend to treat the beach as their personal ashtray. The resort does have people who clean the beach, so they are able to attend to the larger garbage that people inexplicably feel entitled to leave on the beach, but the cigarette butts are hard for them to gather. The food was OK, but not stellar. It was tastier than I expected, but the quality was sub-par. Meat was often fatty and filled with gristle, etc., and was of a lesser quality than Canadian cuts of meat, not that this was unexpected. Fruits and vegetables were fresh though not as tasty as they looked. Salads and ready-cooked food was often watery and seemed to be just a concoction of whatever didn't "go" the meal prior. When I can’t distinguish what’s in a dish, I usually won’t eat it. They ran out of cheese for the last 4 days of our holiday, and the ice-cream lineups were often intolerable. While it sounds like I might be "down on the cuisine", my wife and I are quite fussy eaters, but we never went hungry. We did find the variety lacking for those who rarely eat red meat or fish. Most people don’t go to Cuba for the food anyway. The a la carte restaurant options weren’t worth the wait in line each morning, with the restaurants offering much the same food that could be found on various days at the buffet (save for a little bit of nicer beef at the Fusion Restaurant). While the a la carte suppers are featured as a kind of incentive, we didn’t really feel that they were worth the time and effort. The reason for this is because we found out that you can only book an a la carte on the day that you want to use it and that the chef only decides on that day which type of cuisine will be made available, so you have no way of knowing what’s being offered unless you line up each day. Additionally, there is the risk that you can line up and by the time it’s your turn to book, there may be no availability anymore for what you want. The two nice features were that we were able to get away from smokers at the a la carte restaurants (because they were indoors) and we didn’t need to fight for food at the buffet. Given that we were in Cuba to enjoy the sun and the beach, being in a long line each morning for a la carte restaurants seemed like an unnecessary “time sucker.” The evening entertainment in the lobby was outstanding and the nightly main shows were good too, though again, inconsiderate and ignorant smokers made for unpleasant experiences and the hotel staff seemed quite reluctant to even enforce the non-smoking bylaw in areas where it was applicable. As an aside, my wife an I joked that in future years, we may take our own professionally-created and adhesive “No Smoking” sign and stick it up wherever we sit, with the hope that even a few people fall for it and we can enjoy a smoke-free environment a few times during our vacation. The one area of the resort that could use some serious improvement is its organization and service. We did have a few employees who exhibited fantastic service that I would compare with a North American or European standard and it was a refreshing breath of air in an otherwise sometimes frustrating experience. Upon check-in, the woman couldn’t find our reservation and after some digging and still not being able to find it, despite my documentation, she asked us if we had perhaps canceled our original reservation and re-booked. We hadn’t. We were invited to go and have some supper at the buffet and comeback after they had figured out what had happened. We never did receive an explanation, but when we returned from supper, we had our beach club ocean-view room, though it was less than what we expected, seeing as how we had booked months in advance. Happily, after a few days in our initial room, we were able to move to the best beach club building and an amazing ocean view. As previously mentioned, we did spend some time trying to track down the most basic of amenities, and my wife joked that it seemed like the staff were well trained in the “friendly lie.” By that, I mean that we would repeatedly call to the front desk (when the phone would work) and ask for clean towels, drinking water, and toilet paper, and were assured in the friendliest of voices the assurance that our needs would be taken care of. Sometimes this was true, but most often it was not. Probably the most frustrating experience happened on our last day, when we had to check out. We were staying in the Beach Club, which is a complex of 3 buildings set away from the main resort building, about a 5-minute walk. Because of the weight and quantity of our luggage, not to mention the 35-degree heat, I ordered a bellboy and a luggage car at about 11:30 AM, so we would be on time for our 12 PM check out. Further, we had to be in the lobby, waiting for the shuttle to take us to the airport at 1:45 PM, so we thought we’d have time to store our luggage in the secure area by the Reception Desk and eat lunch at the buffet, which opened at 12:30 PM. None of this happened. We waited for 30 minutes and the bellboy never came. I called the front desk numerous times from the telephone in our room, and was told the “friendly lie” that he was on his way. We waited 30 more minutes and he still hadn’t arrived. In most instances, I would have normally just hauled our bags to the main building, without question. However, my wife wasn’t feeling well and couldn’t help much; our bags were heavy; the beach club isn’t exactly close to the front lobby, and we were running out of time to check our bags and have lunch prior to the airport shuttle arriving. By now, the maid had knocked on our door to ask if we were checking out. We explained the situation to her and that our room phone had just stopped working properly. It sounded like my call would be connected and as soon as I spoke into the receiver, the call was cut off. The maid tried to help us by using her walkie-talkie and relaying the information to the appropriate staff to try and help us. We were assured that a bellboy and car were on the way. We thanked her and waited for 15 more minutes and then realized that it was foolish to keep waiting for this guy to show up, so we made the difficult trek, on our own, with heavy bags, to the main building. Because my wife wasn’t feeling well, I loaded myself up like a pack mule and we opted for a slightly longer route on a circuitous road to the main building, in order to avoid having to haul our heavy bags up a large flight of stairs. We did all of this in 34+ degree heat, and I was absolutely soaked by the time we arrived at the lobby with little time for us to freshen up, change our Cuban money back into Canadian, and have lunch, before our airport shuttle arrived. Because there was only one possible road for the bellboy and car to drive en route to us during our walk to the lobby in the main building, we were able to ascertain that the car and bellboy had never made the journey to us during our whole ordeal. Instead, the only bellboy working during that time seemed intent on staying close to the lobby to take care of the newly-arriving guests and raking in the easy tips, despite us being promised that he was “on his way.” This was typical of the type of disorganized “service” we received while we were at the resort, save for a few exceptional employees. That being said, it doesn’t sour our entire experience, and knowing what we know now, we know what to expect when we return, and return we shall to Labranda Varadero!

I like the fact it’s a smaller resort and not huge lineups for meals. Food especially meat has gotten better over the years in Cuba. The omelette and meat and pasta stations were the best choices for hot food as the rest was Luke warm. Bread is to die for. Rooms were clean. Service was good. Pools and beach were good. For the value would go back.

Lobby is nice and looks grand, good WiFi on the resort, most staff were nice but some did not smile and looked like they did not want to help you. Resort ran out of room towels, bottled water, french fries, yogurt etc. food did not have variety or taste, showers were cold. Staff in kids area on their phones most of the day.

We stayed at Labranda resort in Varadero for 2 weeks.The hotel is amazing everything was perfect. I had so much fun with my family. The weather and that beach was the best part of our vacation. We loved everything about it. See you again LaBranda

I stayed in Labranda resort in Varadero for 14 days and I liked it there. Everything was great, I wouldn’t change a thing. The beach is the most amazing part. The weather was amazing and I had so much fun with my family. See you in a couple of months again.

I was really excited about our vacation to the Labranda. Based on the reviews I had read on Trip Advisor it sounded absolutely amazing. The hotel itself is quite nice but we ran into a few problems. We had adjoining rooms with our kids. Our room smelled like mold and had mold and mildew in the bathroom and the ceiling was leaking, the adjoining doors did not work etc. They did switch our rooms and that fixed both problems. Then we had no hot water for 2 days. Everytime we called the front desk they either didn't answer or they would put us through to someone else and that person would only say "WE WILL SEND A TECHNICIAN". Our first night he showed up to our room at midnight! The buffet food was horrible (and I have been to Cuba a few times and it was not this bad) and the a la carte restaurants were awful too (Italian and Fusion-Spanish). Some staff were very friendly and helpful and others did not really want to help if you didn't speak Spanish. I kept trying to be positive but it definitely was not great.

My family had a good stay at the Labranda Hotel! The pool quite big and clean. The beach can be a little bit crowded but there is a big stretch of the beach where you can try to find a spot that you want. The food at the buffet is good. The special dining areas are quite a disappointment though because of the long wait and the food is not that special. The staff are generally friendly specially at the dining hall.

We did like it, just what we were expecting for. The price was good, food was good, especially for New Year and Christmas. The ocean was a little bit cold, but that’s what you can expect during winter time.

We did like it, just what we were expecting for. The price was good, food was good, especially for New Year and Christmas. The ocean was a little bit cold, but that’s what you can expect during winter time.

Staff was very warm and friendly. Food was pretty good considering it was generally a rotation of the same dishes. Premises were exceptionally clean and environment felt safe during night and day. Beach is smaller but really pretty. Sheets in rooms aren’t the cleanest sometimes. Otherwise we had a lovely stay.

Amazing resort and services. Loved the buffet. Loved the catamaran guys. Made lasting memories! Fun activities everyday. Loved the vibes. Nice family resort! :) had lots of fun. Yummy ymummmm fun fun yay

The resort was better than expected. Our first room was std on the 4th floor and not what we hoped for. It was small, run down and the pot liģhts in the bathroom were leaking water before we had a chance to ask for another room. We were offered a new room and were very happy to be given an upgrade to oceanview, also on the 4th floor. It made all the difference for our stay. My only complaints were the pillows and bar fridge. The covers were clean, but the pillows smelled pretty rank making me wish I had brought my own. I avoided using them. We also never had our bar fridge stocked aside from a bottle of water per day. We were given coffee one day, but not enough water to make a pot and have water to drink/brush teeth. I'm a non coffee drinker, so clearly I didn't care. Also, I'm told the pool bar makes the best espresso.The only other negative is the nightlife. The disco is only open on wknds. We took a trip to casa de melia which was a disco at another resort. Beer is 2cucs each, more for mixed drinks. It would have been ok, but the huge group of drunk college kids our bus picked up kinda ruined it for me. They were out of hand and very annoying. Aside from that, the buffet food was decent and beach amazing. The staff also made it a great time for us. Zuyami at the pool bar was a sweetheart. David at the beach bar was such a nice guy. Alexi the announcer was such a positive person to be around. The disco dj was a great guy as well. There were so many that deserve a mention, but sadly I can't remember all of their names. We took the bus to Varadero city, which is 5cuc per person for the day. I only wish we had gone earlier in the week so we could have done it again. Sadly the last bus is at 8pm so we couldn't stay to watch the band at the Beetles club. Casa del chocolate was yummy! We had chicken from the street vendor, also yummy. I shared mine with a hungry cat. Neither of us were sick at all. I've been to Cuba 3 times now. The 1st 2 trips in Cayo Coco, which was lovely. But Varadero is where the action is of you want to leave the resort. All in all, I liked the resort and would go again with my own pillow for a reasonably priced vacay. I would rate it a 3.5 star compared to the 5 star I had been to before. It was a good value trip, $729pp CAD booked 2 days in advance. If you're spoiled and have high expectations, spend more and go elsewhere. But as with anywhere, your attitude makes a big difference in how you are treated. I can't comment on the pools as I am all about the ocean.

Great resort, pretty clean, decent. Staff and entertainment teams and shows were awesome. Very good value for the deal we had. The coming back experience with Air Canada was an ordeal, with an 18 hours delay, especially for us and other families with kids. But that's another story which doesn't have anything to do with the resort. I would recommend this resort to friends.

Loved the amazing beach, rooms were spacious and clean, food was plentiful and diverse, good shows for kids and adults, outstanding service from all personnel at reception desk, restaurants and bars. Will go again!

We are repeat guests at Labranda Varadero and plan to go back again in the spring. The location, beach and grounds are well complimented by an amazing staff in all categories from food servers to bartenders, from grounds keepers to cleaners. There are a lot of renovations going on, including a large new restaurant. We highly recommend the Labranda Varadero.

Hotel was great! Wonderful staff and very clean. We would definitely stay here again.. not to mention the private beach was a total plus! Lots of variety when it comes to food/ cocktails/ desserts.. the swim up bar was also a hit with us!

Labranda was nice but we prefer the bungalow style resort. Thas the reason we moved to the iberostar alameda in the second day. The service at labranda is lacking staff especially at the buffet restaurant. We know the staff at alameda which was nice to see again

This is my second time at this resort....I highly recommend this beautiful resort...all the staff are so very friendly the resort is very clean food was great & of course the beach & the grounds are simply beautiful & also great nightly entertainment.....I definitely plan on returning back to Labranda next April....I've been to Cuba five times & this is my favorite resort....I cant wait to return back there next year ❤

We stayed at this resort in November and found resort beautiful and rooms nice and spacious and updated. The food and drinks were good so we decided to go back this April. This time we did a 9 day trip and brought our daughter, son in law and granddaughter with us. Through their rep Juan we upgraded to an ocean view room. Juan was absolutely awesome and got us beautiful rooms on the 4th floor in the main building right next to each other and secured us coffee makers in our rooms and also a late check out. The girls at the Cohibo Bar were great and so was Adonis who made me the best specialty pina colada. We also met a couple of great staff at the main buffet. The resort is beautiful we enjoyed both the pool and the beach during our stay. However I do have to say we were disappointed with the food and drinks on this trip. This resort has so much potential if they could just improve in this area. The majority of our stay drinks were not being made with juice but red mixture that to me was more like kool aid. Also other than Cohibo bar, the pool bar was rarely stocked to make anything more than rum and coke. There were only French fries available on our last day. We have been to Cuba 15 times and several different resorts from 3 star to 5 star. All of the other resorts have always had pancakes and most of them even a pancake station to make them fresh in the mornings. There were none the entire week. The food they did have during the 9 days we were there was very repetitive. More than any other resort we have stayed at ;with pork being grilled pretty much every evening. They didn’t have any themed nights at the buffet. We did enjoy our two a la cartes dinners and also went out for dinner two evenings. I would probably have to think hard about going here again unless I saw reviews with big improvements in the food and drinks. I truly hope they do as the staff and resort itself are wonderful.

Very clean room, common areas including bathrooms and grounds. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our waitress Yanela made a beautifully decorated table for us one evening and provided excellent service the whole time we were there. Food was good, could always find something tasty to eat. For our many visits to Cuba, this rates at the top.

This hotel was perfect. We originally booked an oceanfront bungalow but upgraded to a junior suite with a sea view. The bungalow is quite a walk to all the amenities. Our bungalow was on the third floor with no elevator. The junior suite was amazing. The bed was a king bed with a beautiful bathroom with walk in shower. We also had a sitting room. We found the suite was well positioned to take advantage of everything the resort had to offer. The beach was breathtaking. The pool was very large with lots of lounge chairs. The food was fantastic and had lots of variety. The grounds were very well maintained. Everything was colourful and lush. From the moment we arrived the check in was quick and efficient. If you had any questions the reception staff was eager to help. The bank made changing your money a breeze. The check out was as fast as check in. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the resort and are already looking forward to returning next year. I would suggest you give Labranda Resort a try for your next vacation... we are really glad we did.

First I must say that I am not impressed with Sunwing, this bit has nothing to do with the resorts its self, but needs to be said. We have never paid for seat selection in our 11 years of traveling and we have always been able to sit together, this year when checking in at the airport the Sunwing agent told us that there were no seats together unless we wanted to pay an additional $50 each, then we could sit together. This tells me that there were in fact available seats together, and as we were unwilling to pay an extra $100 we were given seats at opposite ends of the air craft. Now to the review on the hotel. We stayed at Labranda from Feb 16 – 23, 2019. There are some good points to the resort and some negative points as well, resulting in us feeling as though we paid too much for our vacation. We are not new to Cuba, we have visited 9 times, so these are experienced comments. The good: The beach is spectacular (as are all Cuban beaches that we have been to). The grounds and landscaping are picture perfect, with lots of lighting at night on most of the walk ways. The Cohiba bar (lobby) was nicely decorated and Omar and the group he normally worked with were always pleasant, welcomed you and remembered your drink of choice. The lunch buffet/bar El Ranchone was a nice alternative to the main buffet for lunch (this is also an a la Carte in the evening) and the staff Adrian & Yessica were always very nice and happy to see you. The rooms have just been renovated, and are very nicely decorated and modern looking, our bathroom was really nicely redone, the shower worked amazingly with lots of pressure and no issues with temperature. The housekeeping staff were great, and worked very hard to keep the rooms and walkways clean. The not so good: The food at the buffet was not what we expected, there were two options daily…fish & chicken, this was the only resort that we actually saw people eating only fries. The main buffet does not have enough trained wait staff or cooks, and they do not have enough utensils to properly set the tables after people leave and new people sit down, up to a 20 min wait at times, there were no spoons available for the first 4 days of our vacation. The food for lunch at the El Ranchone was also very repetitive. The snack bar by the big pool does not offer much, we ordered hamburgers one evening, and they were served raw, needless to say we did not eat them and did not order anything there again. There is not enough bar staff at the beach or at the bar by the big pool, at any given time we would only see one bar tender/per bar, and at times the line ups were 20-30 people long. They ran out of cups (both glass & plastic) at the bar by the big pool by 6pm one evening and were providing drinks in small paper cups, like the size of a small Dixie cup you’d get at the dentist. And they would run out of all kinds of alcohol (vodka, gin, wine to name a few) daily by 6pm and most bar staff are not trained and would make drinks up; examples would be: vodka & sprite = rum & sprite strawberry daiquiri = rum & grenadine margarita = rum & green slush. The bad: Bring some heavy-duty bug spray, the biting insects are really bad here. The air conditioner did not work the entire week that we were there, and after going to the lobby desk twice, the customer service desk twice and our Sunwing rep once (who was only there for 1 hour/day and hard to find), we were not offered an new room and to our knowledge noone was ever sent to look at it. Our Sunwing rep said that she would get us a late check-out and that we would have to sign off on it at the Customer Service desk. My fiance went to the customer service desk and relayed our unhappiness regarding the food, drinks and air conditioning and told them that we felt we paid too much for this vacation because of those things, and they went on to offer him a nice dinner in our room with wine and flowers, for a cost of only $50. He pretty much laughed and said, no thank you and we never did get our late-check out. In conclusion, this is not a terrible place and it has the potential to be a great resort, but for what is being charged and what you are getting, you might want to consider going elsewhere. If you have already booked your vacation, you might want to consider changing to another resort.

I will start with the good things about the hotel. Beautiful building and beautiful beach. Disappointing parts of the trip Hotel room had the following problems - safe not working, refridgerator not working, tv not working, toilet seat broken, no air conditioning and no outside phone lines. Everything was fixed except the air conditioning and telephone lines. The rest of the resort was also had issues, no cutlery for most meals and the food was poor and tasteless, chicken and fish and pasta daily. The grill at the beach was well prepared and tasty. I wouldn't return as this hotel has under gone extensive renovations and this is the outcome, not prepared for people. The lack of good customer service just blew me away, poor choice for a vacation getaway. The location was a 15 peco cab ride to town as so far away, another issue as nothing close to the resort.This at present is a 2.5 star and if all was addressed would be a 4 star location. Very disappointed for the money paid out for this resort.

Had a wonderful time at Labranda Varadero. Management has changed but very good service. The food needs upgrade a bit since the menu is very repetitive. Hotel staff very friendly and very nice. Looking forward to my next visit.

This was our second visit (first visit two years ago when it was called Naviti). Better services, food and drinks first time. Internet working much better this second time. Grounds are beautiful and beach is lovely. However, seaweed was a nuisance as it was not picked up and nobody seem to care. Most of guests were Germans & Russians. Almost no Canadians. Bread was scarce, some days only “rose” wine - probably diluted red wine - some days red wine, almost no white wine in the resort during our stay. Last dinner they were completely out of wine. Staff working hard but no smiles - perhaps because tipping is a thing of the past. Most guest don’t tip at all, not even at the “a la carte” restaurants which I find very surprising. No hot water and no water pressure in the evening. Watch out at the currency exchange window as tellers will not hand over receipts and try to scam you a few CUC. We will not return unless there are some dramatic improvements.

The hotel itself is gorgeous, the grounds are amazing. The food needs improvement, food is never hot and there is no variety. We've been to Cuba many times and we love the food but this was not Cuban standard.However, Christmas eve dinner there was a lot to choose from, sad that we didn't have that for the other days. There is only one buffet and a snack bar that never has any food except for ham sandwiches. We tried the only a la carte restaurant and the menu was limited as they didn't have everything available on the menu...what we ate was good...better than the buffet. We booked this resort because we saw in the pictures that there was a play structure in the pool. When we got there it was rolled up and set aside. A storm came threw during our stay and the ocean wasn't safe to swim for a couple of days, the structure would of been great to have. The positive part of this trip is the staff, they made our stay amazing. Our tummy were empty but our hearts were filled. A new owner has taken over in the past 2 months and he's making changes...we read a lot of reviews before coming and they were good. Maybe this new owner shouldn't change too many things as they might lose a lot of returning vacationers.

My girlfriends and I ( 4 of us) have been taking a yearly vacation to Cuba for 5 years now and decided to go back to Naviti this year because we enjoyed it so much in 2017. This year was even better! They had special evening Events - Rum tasting, Chocolate night, Wine night and the Cuba Night was fantastic. Rooms were great although we didn't get the rooms we requested which seems to be a issue when you book. The staff are always friendly and warm and can't say enough about the ocean! The only disappointing thing we find every year is the Disco is rare open, we were there for 14 days and found the Disco only open 1 night. We absolutely had a great time and can't wait for next spring!!!!!!

Spend 7 days at this place and enjoyed ever day of trip. The rooms were large and clean. Staff on the resort were ever helpful and friendly. Food was good with large selection of Cuban food. Lots of meats, cheese, vegetables and seafood. The only complain I have is that they didn't offer scuba lessons or snokling at the resort which they said they did on thier website.

We love this resort, it is our second year at this resort. 3rd time to Cuba. The staff are wonderful and they really stepped up the entertainment, outdoor meals and the drinks. The iced coffee is super yummy.

It is are second time staying at Naviti Varadaro. Rooms are very nice, cleaning staff is great. Buffet was also good they cooked use a whole pig out by the beach bar, and the last night we where there the had lobster and a huge cheese table at the dinner buffet. Great chefs. We would diffenetly recommend this hotel to anyone.

This was our second time staying at Naviti Varadero. We were disappointed with a few things and after speaking to a few people found out that the resort had been sold last October. The hot tub by the beach club was not hot. The quality of the food has gone down drastically. Whenever our daughter wanted to go to the kids club we could not find staff. After asking at reception they said they would send someone over and after waiting for 20 minutes plus no one showed. There were less organized activities and they did not bring the kayaks and paddle boats out as frequently. During our stay a couple of busloads of Germans came to the resort causing lineups at the buffet and shortages of food. Unfortunately we will not be returning to Naviti again.

Beautiful resort and beautiful people! Can't ask for nicer rooms. If you want good entertainment at night bring your own music and take your party to the beach or your room. If you're looking to complain for something you will find that no matter where you go. Food is simple but you don't have to cook or clean so who cares. Great place to escape!

We went to naviti for the 2nd time.I was really disappointed our first visit was great. We had no hot water for most our 2 wk stay.The food was cold and the same day after day.A lot of the buildings were closed also the hot tub was closed the 2nd week..The resort was run down the staff were mostly great a few were miserable. Not enough staff for the amount of guests.ladies at the Cohiba bar were amazing.I will definitely not return to this resort

Such an unfortunate resort. The location is great and property has so much potential. 40% of the resort is vacant, a la cartes that were once I assume open are shut down and the kids pool emptied. There is ONE a la carte throughout the resort and they just switch up the type of food served. Its a small space. I didnt expect good food but I did expect enough food for the amount of poeple staying at the resort. Go on time for dinner if your looking to eat any of the better options. And expect it to be extremely repetitive. Including being served Brussel sprouts for breakfast so they can reuse the left overs! The fourth day into out stay the hot tub emptied... we stayed in the bungalows room 6102 and didnt have hot water our entire stay. We complained several times to only have someone " fix" the hot water issue on the fourth day of our stay, to have only but luke warm water. The staff was not very friendly,l. There was real juice the first couple days of our stay but they appeared to have ran out. The bathrooms pool side were disgusting with fecices in the toilet. If you want to ensure you have toilet paper in the resort bathrooms carry around your own from your room! There was hardly ever any toilet paper in any of the stalls. The staff was rude and it appeared it was like you were bothering them when you ordered a drink or food. Save yourself the agony and book at another resort. It was so not worth it.

It was a second time in this resort. Beach was still amazing. Room was clean, food was OK, don't expect lobsters. Internet access not very good. Staff was very polite and helpful. Just remember that it is not 5 stars.

Not knowing what to expect as I had never been to Cuba before, I had no expectations. The Naviti staff were very professional and helpful. Our arrival flight was delayed in Toronto due to weather , so it was after 1am when I arrived at the resort. It was an efficient registration & the pool side bar is open all night for drink & a limited menu and the hamburger & ham sandwich were great. The beach is fantastic, entertainment in evening was great, dining room food is based on local menu which was great for the food adventure. The garden view room at the front of the hotel on 4th floor still gave me an ocean view and the rooms as with the grounds and hotel areas were always in impeccable condition. The day trip I took was sugar, cigar & rum tour and what a time , great way to see the Varadero area . The tour bus stop located outside the hotel provides service into Varadero for only 5 pesos all day as much as you want. The bars were all well stocked & tips were not required but certainly appreciated by the staff in my opinion. For the value it was excellent & would return again

The place looks, feels great., The cleanliness is exceptional and people are cleaning constantly. The staff at the front desk are thorough and helpful, as are the bartenders and waiters and waitresses. Smiles are everywhere. The food was good - could be better and hotter when you return to your table - but for Cuba I rate it a B. Lots of pork, very little beef. We were pleasantly surprised at the elegance of the hotel. Pool was close by as was the beach and drinks were available whenever you wanted one. We were pleased with the arrangement with AC vacations to deliver us to and from our location included in the cost.

We really liked this resort but it's is for couples or older people or just people that need a relaxing vaca and great stuff for the kids to do .. Food isn't to bad at this resort compared to other Cuban resorts ..

What do you think? Naviti, Varadero, Cuba is ideal for clean white, sandy beaches, clear waters, dry sunny days and breezy nights. It is where the sun rises and sets in full view beneath palm trees on beautifully cultivated grounds. The private beach offers quiet solitude enjoyed with a book and/or beer. It also offers opportunities to bask in the sun or lie in the shade while gazing at the limitless aquamarine sea - quite mesmerizing and relaxing with a cocktail. Customer service is good for English speakers and better for affluent Spanish speakers - not surprising though nothing gratuity cannot resolve. Canadian travellers should be aware of what my globetrotting friends call "Cuban-ness", where visitors' concerns are addressed based on availability and urgency. For example, no air conditioning is considered urgent and mint for mojitos are subject to availablility. Cuba delivered on its promise of excellent weather rain or shine. The rain was warm, intense and brief which doesn't matter when you're already on the beach or in your suite. You may have to refresh your cocktail or enjoy it under the many shaded outdoor facilities; Cubans are most accommodating. Naviti also made connecting with fellow travellers easy and enjoyable. Some share juicy tidbits about their stay, their journey into Veradero's markets and clubs, diverse ways they enjoy haggling with merchants while others elected to keep to themselves. However, Naviti is a stand-alone resort with shopping opportunities, remarkable entertainment for adults and children (the Opera performaces in the lobby were outstanding!) and a bartender/server to help maximize one's getaway without needing to venture outside the resort. Naviti is a good experience for seven days. Canadians seeking to enjoy paradise without fuss, drink by the pool or at the beach and acquire a killer tan will thoroughly enjoy Naviti, Veradero - qualities in my first time resort experience that deserves a four star rating. I went with a group of 5 girlfriends, as we go to Cuba every year and try out a new Resort and we were totally impressed! Although there was a long distance from our room to the main building/lobby our room was like paradise over the ocean and you got a chance to wear off the food lol. Room was reasonable although a few issues that were never dealt with the oceanview made up for it. Powerful nice shower but it flooded the floor each time used, phone was not connected but who needs a phone! Food was good, as Cuban food is lol. The entertainment was great. And of course, what can you say about the ocean!!!! We all noticed all the work going on to continue with improving the resort.

Loved the lobby bar and Spanish coffers, one evenin their was a singer in the lounge and she was spectacular. Food was good and rooms were fair. Would definately vacation at the Naviti again. Front desk service needs to be improved and we had a few glitches (safe and toilet issues) but overall a grear experience. Twyla Harvey

First off, we loved our oceanfront room except we had very little water daily to take a shower (ie just a trickle and you either had hot or cold water-nothing in between). The coffee bar was amazing and we loved the grounds and the beach and ocean was amazing. Food was as expected - with a little help and organization, the buffet would be superb. What we weren't happy with was: 1. we booked 8 nights which our trip central itinerary confirmed however our Sunwing receipt showed 7 nights and when we attempted to resolve with Sunwing to ensure we were able to keep our room for our last night (our flight wasn't until 3:25am), we were told they only booked us for 7 nights, regardless of what our Trip Central itinerary said. ( I had copies with me). 2. When we booked via Trip Central, we specifically chose Oceanfront Beach Club Bungalows for the extra perks that came with that booking. When we inquired, we were advised that was old information and they no longer provided-very disappointing not to get what we paid for: *private check in (didn't happen) *special discounts on massages (didn't attempt to book) *private breakfast (didn't happen) *salsa classes (didn't happen) *1 bottle of room per stay/room upon arrival (didn't receive) *first priority reservation, restaurant a la carte (they refused) *unlimited a la carte restaurant (only permitted max 4 for our stay) *special BBQ dinner once per week (not offered) *Bar Mojito exclusive for clients of the beach club section (wasn't open) All in all we enjoyed our vacation but would be hesitant to book through Trip Central again as we did not get what we paid for.

Resort looks great, main hotel areas look beautiful, however, we got a room with no A/C nor any hot water, was unacceptable had to battle with reception to get another room, after that all went well. Food was good and found one waitress that gave us wonderful service. Took tour to Havana and Jeep excursion, both well worth it. Our Sunwing rep was great ! Overall good holiday

Its need à Little beat repair for the bathroom in the lobby, needs Some music at the beach but for the service at the réception, buffet, bar its very good all overall i recommand this resort the staff Was amazing and help full

The grounds were very well kept but there needs to be a lot of upgrades to this hotel. The main lobby was beautiful but the WIFI was very poor, it would take a long time to connect just to send a message and it would drop halfway through the message and needed to reconnect again. I would rate this hotel around a 3 1/2 stars. A few of the front lobby staff were not customer service friendly and their English was poor, I wished I knew more Spanish because they talked at lot in Spanish but of course it is their country. The bathrooms in the main lobby had three stalls in the women's bathroom and only one toilet had a seat. I think toilet paper is gold there because very seldom there was any in the stalls. The food was better than I expected and I always went to where the food was being cooked in front of me at the buffet and most of the staff were friendly.

We arrived at naviti April 2. We had an amazing time. The hotel was well redone and was appealing to look out. We heard a few people complain about their rooms however we had no problems. Our room was always clean. The only complaint I had about the rooms is they did not provide beer in the fridge or soft drinks. You only received a bottle of water each day. We never had to fight for a beach chair or a chair by the pool. There was always entertainment going on for all ages. Most staff were very excellent and took the time to speak to you. The food overall was very good together! I would recommend this to someone not looking to pay a lot but still have a nice place to take vacation

I was pleasantly surprised when I woke up (arrived after dark) to a beautiful ocean view. The desk clerk was very friendly and we got to our room with no stress.. The room was nice and clean and the air conditioning was great. I wasn't in the main building and was very happy about this because there are renovations going on and it was very busy. I found the food good. There wasn't a meal that I couldn't find something I enjoyed. The staff was helpful and friendly. The beach wasn't as clean as I would have liked.. lots of broken plastic, cigarette butts but I realize this is because the tourists are messy! All in all my stay was good and I would go back to this hotel

I don't have one negative thing to say about this resort! The staff were friendly and helpful, rooms clean, food good, beach was incredible!!! I will be back!!! I was travelling with my elderly mother, who also loved it and she can be hard to please at times. First vacation ever where I don't have even 1 complaint!!!!

The rooms were very clean and updated. Tv worked great and soo did the fridge and air conditioning . Amazing beaches and very helpful staff. The food was very good not much variety but still yummy and the grounds are kept very clean over all great trip

Hotel was beautiful. Good job on the renovations. Our 1 bdrm suite was lovely. Entrance section would have been better served as the coffee/fridge area vs chairs and table that would not be used. Couch and TV in main living area were fine. Lucked out and got top floor with ocean view. Balcony was large and patio door actually worked and locked! Resort very clean; grounds beautiful and well kept. Staff wonderful and helpful. Palapas at the pool could have been bigger; hard to find shade. Food so-so; needs to be upgraded to match the rest of the resort but you won't go hungry. Overall one of the best trips I've had and I would stay there again.

Nice resort! We had a beautiful beach view in the beach club area. Long walk to get to the buffet etc, but that was okay with us. Mojito bar just behind us was great for an afternoon break! The al la carte system is not great at all - I think due to lack of staffing. You had to book at 9am for that night, so if you wanted to go 3 times as was offered, you would have to be there first thing in the morning to book. Buffet was good though - with lots of choice. The one al la carte we did have was excellent! Overall this was a good stay - beautiful beach etc. Staffing is low and not everything up an running yet - once it is it will be amazing.

The place looks, feels great., The cleanliness is exceptional and people are cleaning constantly. The staff at the front desk are thorough and helpful, as are the bartenders and waiters and waitresses. Smiles are everywhere. The food was good - could be better and hotter when you return to your table - but for Cuba I rate it a B. Lots of pork, very little beef. We were pleasantly surprised at the elegance of the hotel. Pool was close by as was the beach and drinks were available whenever you wanted one. We were pleased with the arrangement with AC vacations to deliver us to and from our location included in the cost.

This was our first time at Naviti, 2nd time as a couple to Cuba and 1st time as a group of 6, and it was their 1st time. What can I say? I would definately go back! Part of this resort has recently been renovated and what a nice job they have done so far. We had our rooms at the beach club which was beautiful We had a partial view of the ocean and we left our patio door opened every night so we could hear the waves hitting up against the rocks. Priceless! The food was very good. There was always something to eat and there was lots of variety. Ice cream is delicious! The burgers at this resort were pretty good and the ham and cheese sandwiches were the best for a midnight snack. The staff were unbelievable! We had two bartenders, Mario and Renaldo. They made the best drinks. From Pina Coloda's, Banana Mamas made with real bananas, Alexander to their signature drink called the Naviti. This was 2 of the men's favorites. They took very good care of all of us. We can't forget our servers in the buffet, Tanya and Yami, they would reserve us a table every time that they were working. They joked with us, laughed with us and made sure we had everything we needed while we were at the buffet.Couldn't ask for better. All of us want to go back to the same place next year. If everything is all finished being renovated we would stay at the beach club again, but if not we would stay above the main lobby as we did a lot of walking from our room, which was really ok, we were on vacation!

This was our first trip out of Canada. The resort was amazing. Just beautiful. The rooms were clean the staff was extremely friendly. The beach was awesome. The daytime and nighttime entertainment was phenomenal with the exception of one night. The food was great. The couple we were with have been to two other resorts in Cuba and they said by far this resort had the best food. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone. I would rate the resort a 4.5 to a 5 star resort. It has just been renovated and some parts are still under renovations. Best first experience. Will be returning to this resort next year!!!

The service was amazing and all staff we interacted with were so friendly and excellent at making you feel special. Our room had very minor issues, and the beach was clean and beautiful. Will go back again.

After going to Holguin twice, we knew what to expect, but we've decided we don't like the Varadero atmosphere. I've never complained before and it's not like I made a fuss, but the lack of customer service astounded me! Good The food was Cuba ok but needed variety, we went to the international a la carte and it was very good. The mattress was comfortable and the pillows awesome. The room was pretty. Resort was clean. The staff that was friendly were the waiters and most of the bartenders. The nightlife was very fun! Good music, people and dancing! Bad Apart from the dance shows, the shows are distasteful at best. Must have been the consensus because people walked out (as we did). Some of the staff were downright rude, one of the bartenders was constantly texting WHILE serving you! Bring your own toilet paper, and the toilets buy the swim up bar (that isn't) smells like an outhouse Hot water was inconsistent and the staff pretended like they were hearing it for the first time, like any other complaint... Surprise! They wanted 30 pesos deposit for the towels, bring your own. Ugly We could smell mold in our room and when we asked to move, it was quite the spectacle so we gave up (remember, rude staff) The main lobby bar also smelled musty.... One of the security staff tried to force himself on a married, older woman.... If you get a great deal and you just want a quiet, very quiet (sometimes it felt like a ghost town) place to spend the days laying by the pool or beach and don't expect any hospitality, it's ok. But we paid premium cause I'm stuck going on March break so we were a little disappointed.

We really enjoyed our stay at Naviti! We couldn't believe how quiet it was. I'm thinking not too many people know about it because the price was right for what we had. We stayed in beachclub with an ocean view room. Never had an issue with hot water except for the first day. But we weren't told that some rooms, you had to insert your key card in a slot as you walk in the door and leave it there as it controls your electrical including hot water. If you've been to Cuba before, the food is okay. We get sick of buffet food and there was supposed to be 4 a la carte restaurants but because there were so few people, only 1 restaurant opened. The 2 times we reserved, the theme was Cuban. Not that great! We ended going to Varadero and went to a restaurant in the park. It is called LaGrotta or the Cave of Wines. That was awesome!! We ended up going twice. The filet mignon was absolutely delicious!!! The others had lobster, they said it was the best they've ever had. We also went to the mall which is halfway between the hotel and Varadero, it's called Plaza America and on the upper level there is a pizza place. Absolutely fantastic pizza!!!!! We went another night but the oven was broken so they only had spaghetti dishes. It wasn't good, someone must have dropped a box of salt in it,, yuck!! Back to the resort,,,rooms are clean but once there, the maid does minimal. She makes the bed(sheets are changed only if you leave a note), you get fresh towels but she only rinsed our coffee mugs. When we first got there, there were 2 pouches of coffee which I recommend to use both otherwise it is weak with 1 pouch. But then the next day she left only 1 pouch. I recommend to bring notepad to leave messages for her. I would ask for 2 aguas and 2 cafes and she would leave it no problem! There is a mini fridge but it's not stocked. The beaches are awesome! The main beach by the main hotel seems to be the busiest. As you walk down the path, down the stairs, you'll get to the snack bar and a bar, there's another smaller beach, not busy. We would go around 10am and still get a palapa. Keep walking down the path, come around the corner and you'll be where the ocean view and garden view rooms are. There's a nice pool area with a swim up bar. If you go around the ocean view rooms facing the ocean, there's a set of stairs that bring you to the beach. It's so secluded. If you don't want any noise like music, talking, just peace and quiet then this is where you'd love to sit. And it's just a little walk to the pool bar to get a drink. Wifi is a hit and miss. But I would just go on to check if I had any messages from my kids. The last day we were there, it was not working at all. We were waiting for an hour and a half in lobby, would have been nice to play a game or two. There is another area to purchase an internet card. It's by the Mojito bar. There's a few buildings, it's the middle one, there's a sign on the door, its Concierge room and you can even go online there, you don't need to go back to the hotel lobby. br /> All in all, I recommend this hotel, very nice and staff are nice. If you're looking to party then I don't recommend, like I said it was very quiet, which is what we loved!!

The beach at Naviti in Varadero is the best we have ever seen. It goes on for miles and is nice sand no rocks. The resort itself has been revovated and they still have a ways to go as it is such a large complex but what is done is beautiful. We stayed in the beachclub area and it is very quite. The pool there has the best bartender named Juan. Defintely go see him. Another great spot is the beach bar and Elvis will take good care of you. There is a Mojito bar and a beach club concierge but it is off the beaten path and should be open later in the evening instead of at the same time as the pool and beach bar. Also if you are booked into the beach club you should get checked in and out with the beach club concierge. We arrived along with 20 other people and having that option would have made it a lot smoother. The food in the buffet is really good and the a la carts are basically the same but if you eat later in the evening they will run out of stuff. The staff are great and I highly recommend this place.

The renovations that have been completed are very nice. I am excited to go back once they have completely finished all the renovations. We stayed at the beach club side which is a longer walk to the main buffet. During the day there is a nice beach close a snack bar and a beach bar also a pool with a swim up bar. There was never a wait for anything great service and great staff. Only complain I have is there wasn't much hot water only had hot water for 2 days 1 day was luke warm and the others was freezing cold, but was told they are working on this issue. I have been to Cuba 5 times and this time was the best food in Cuba. I definitely give this resort a 10 and can't wait to go back!!

Hotel was very nice, lots of marble and lovely bars with lots of seating, big armchairs in the Cohiba Bar. Nice and comfortable. Staff was very professional and helpful with maintenance issues, poor a/c and electrical issues. No early evening entertainment, had grand piano in lobby but not used. No Cuban bands around. Food was not great. Snack bars only had hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken sandwich, no fries, no grilling, pizza ect. Walking from rooms at end of resort to main building where buffet is around 15-20 mins, stairs also. Accessing buffet from main building stairs as well. Not a resort for people with mobility issues. Only had two carts. Resort would be great if they would open eating facilities at Beach Club end. Very clean grounds and beach is wonderful.

Spent a week at Naviti and had a great time and met other travellers from across Canada. Beautiful resort, loved the grounds and the beach was more secluded from the other resorts on Varadero beach. We would go back for sure, wonderful people work at this resort!

Excellent resort. Clean, friendly staff, good food. I am returning later this month! Renos are almost done and they are very discreet with the construction. Rooms are beautiful. No complaints whatsoever. Best resort I've been to in Cuba.

Beautiful grounds! Wonderfully renovated, friendly staff, Crystal clear beach and the rooms were fantastic! No complaints about food though the 25$ lobster dinner was not worth it at all.. Resort is still not 100% open with ongoing renovations but we had a fabulous time and will be definitely returning!!

Hotel was nicely spread out over a large area. Very long beach. It was at least a 5 minute walk from our room to the buffet with stairs (3rd floor room and extra stairs near main building) but we enjoyed it as the walkways were lined with pretty trees and shrubs. Got you moving which is also good as we ate and drank all week. Food was average to Cuban fair but the desserts were exceptional. Fish was very good. Always lots of food. Beaches were great for swimming but the entertainment was too noisy at times. The main lobby is very spacious and fancy. All in all we liked the resort and would recommend it.

The rooms were recently renovated and the best I've stayed in (7th time in Cuba). Air conditioning did not work most days even when complained about it and mechanic 'fixed' it. Wide variety of food and I thought it was good. However sometimes meat was undercooked. Use same instruments for cooked and uncooked meat. Was ill last night at the resort. First time ill in Cuba. Wouldn't stay here again.

This Hotel is going through a lot of updates.....when fully done it will be really good... everyone was good.... food was you normal blah Cuba food... but you didn't go hungry... Our room was all redone and faced the beach!!! We had a really restful time..... bed we're soooo comfortable!! For the price it was amazing!! I would say.... go for it!

I was always taught to say what is good before the bad. Well the good things are the room we had in the motel/hotel part was renovated beautifully and we had hot water 7 days. Sorry for those who went 2 days with out hot water. The view, well we paid for a standard room and got the back yard view with the disel and heating system. Not so pretty. The food as they say in Cuba, your not there for the food. This resort and being to Cuba many times all over, this was the worst. Great diet lost 5 pounds. Customer service, thanks to our maid, servers at the bar and bar tenders. The lobby reception and the buffett, failing grades every day. For those like myself who loves to walk the grounds, enjoy the hike beautiful. Would I suggest this resort to anyone. No.

My room was newly renovated, all new. Very clean, up to date, balcony viewing ocean too. Entertainment was not that great. Did not appreciate dinner served for breakfast such as beans, rice, etc. Loved having hamburgers at lunch, rice and beans were not as good. You need to be more picky when it comes to food, by selecting the choices of food you love and putting it together like pastas and selecting the various sauces, that was good. Appreciated the great wine served! Windy beaches, hard to get into water with heavy waves. Was a windy week.

Our family was more than pleasantly surprised with our vacation at Naviti! The private beach was outstanding, hardly anyone there.The buffet had enough variety for all of us , with daily different made to order stations each mealtime .I would definitely recommend this resort , it won't be our last trip there!

Room was comfortable, A/c , plumbing all worked fine, remeber you are in Cuba so the food is as good as it gets there, plenty to drink except for the 24 Hr snack bar, my one issue with this resort, Rum is Cuba's national drink and they wouldn't stock the bar at snack bar with rum !! The beach was amazingly clean, even after a wind storm had it covered in debris, gone the next day

The hotel was excellent. Our room view was beautiful and by far second to none. The beach was gorgeous. The sun was hot. The staff was extremely helpful. Only downfall was the keys didn't work on our door but the cleaning maid and technician were periodically fixing. It was a hit or miss. Renovations were not bothersome at all and the results were very noticeable. Prices will be going up for this lot soon.
