Everything was lovely. Resort was very clean, room cleaned immaculately. We requested a main floor room which we got, close to pool, beach was just beyond the pool and buffet was directly across from us. Best location really. Only problem was our room was very tight as far as putting clothes away. There is a hanging closet but virtually nothing other than 2 small drawers for everything else. No shelves or hooks for hanging towels. We do plan to return.

Very few staff ,not much entertainment,very sparse selection of food .Very quiet ,clean rooms .This is a resort suited to an older crowd .Very pretty grounds ,but in bed by 10 .Disappointed in food selection and service.

The grounds were beautiful and well kept up by the hard workers. Loved this resort it was very clean and staff was friendly. Had lots of choices for the Restaurant, the Chinese one with the show was delicious. The entertainment was great my favorite was the circus night. Having a beach restaurant was great. There were 3 pools which were all nice. Love seeing the Iguanas every day the flamingos turtles peacocks and docks. Loved the wildlife. The only thing I missed was having the towel art on my bed even with a tip( wasn't a big deal but it is kind of neat to see the different things they make) The water was very wavy which wasn't great hoping I could snorkel off the beach . Not enough shade umbrellas or chairs around the active pool. But all in all I loved this resort it is great

I loved the fact that the public bathrooms were so extraordinarily clean and good smelling. The resort is small, its great for families with kids, great food. The rooms are close to the buffet, pools and the beach. Within 1-3 minutes you can reach any one of those. The lobby, and the you can walk 10 minutes through a small tropical forest or take the mini bus. Beach was alao great. Will definitely return here, one of the best resorts I've been to.

The resort was amazing. The room was clean and well stocked with towels. Only issue was we had no hot water for a shower at first. It was a quick fix. Staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds were well maintained and very clean. Buffet meals had a range of foods that everyone could enjoy. We had 3 nights of dining in the reservation only dining rooms. The best was the Japanese restaurant, Bavarian an Italian were also good. Beach was amazing with lots of seating. There were 3 pools at this resort and they were all great. Kids would really enjoy the kids pool and play zone. If I had one thing I would change it would be to add another coffee maker to the room as I drink tea and hubby drinks coffee. We will definitely be back in the future.

We booked as a group 4 couples in 2024 for Feb 25. The rest of the group had rooms ready on arrival. I needed a main floor because of mobility issues.On arrival no room was ready for me and my husband . After many hours of waiting we were given what I am sure was one of the worst rooms in the resort D 5118 only motorcycle and scooters for a view .after a wasted day and a half. We were moved to building A 3009 a big improvement but our door wouldn’t lock after 2 days we tracked down a repair man ourselves. Needless to say the first 3 days were a fail . And who thinks a room for 2 adults only needs one chair are we to sit on the floor and take turns with the chair .

Very clean, great beach off pool deck white sand beautiful. Food was fair. Entertainment was terrible other than the Michael Jackson show. The animation team seemed forced and not dynamic, skilled. We very bored alot. They literally did one 10 min dance lesson and no practice. No music on, everything quiet most of day and evening. No activities to do, staff unhappy or rude.

The resort is very clean friendly staff and would go back again. The food is excellent The TAO restaurant was delicious The Brazilian restaurant was a great experience I would suggest that the coffee shop open at 7:00 am instead of 9:00am the coffee was very good but would enjoy it more early in the morning Cheers Bea

This was our first big vacation of a family of four (5mon & 2.5 yo) and we were not disappointed. We got the family suite which worked out well, the only odd thing was the main door and patio door were in the kids room. The grounds was a good size and in immaculate condition always. The trams were always going. The staff were friendly and always went out of the way put a smile on our sons face and make him laugh. The pools and beach were always clean and could always find chairs. The buffet food was okay, nothing to write home about but could always find something (sandwich station was good). A La Carts were always good! Make sure you get in the app asap to book. Overall, very happy and would return.

The pools grounds and public areas were constantly maintained. Our room was amazing. The staff eager to please and very helpful. Only downfalls are the sand fleas and that the pool entertainment was quite loud during siesta time. Did not see any nightly shows as the started too late for us.

There are a lot of different interesting areas in this hotel. If you like cool cocktails - head to the lobby bar and don't forget to try "Mama Juana" drink. Pools are warm and you can relax there or have fun with animators practicing aqua aerobics. Alway book a restaurant for each evening. It's much more comfortable to eat within limited number of people, no rush and also very original menu. Right between 2 parts of the hotel, there is a park with lots of iguanas and ducks and other wonderful birds. But there are a lot of weeds in the see in the summer and early autumn time.

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 11 year old and 16 year old ) spent one week at the Tropical Deluxe Princess for March Break. We had an amazing week! We highly recommend this resort to anyone travelling as a family. The resort is newly renovated and super clean. The staff are always cleaning. The beach was incredible....plenty of lounge chairs, volleyball, soccer and seaweed was not an issue when we were there. The sand was amazing and no sand flies. The a La Carte dinners can be booked every night (there is no limit) and they were delicious. The buffet had many options available and was good. The staff at the resort are the best!!!!! Always so helpful, happy and really nice people. A huge shout out to the best animation team. A special thanks to Julio and Adonis - we always had fun at the beach and pool activities. Big round of applause to all of you on the team. We will definitely return to this resort again.

Hotel is pretty clean people are friendly and staff are very nice with travellers food is ok nice aquatic park for kids spend 7 days with my wife love the resort strongly recommend nice beach but get ready to deal with seaweeds they try hard to get rit off it but overall it’s a very nice resort

The Tropical Princess is a very clean and well maintained resort. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food in the buffet was ok after we found what we liked. We ate at 5 of the restaurants and they were excellent. The tropical forest section is cool, there are many birds, ducks, turtles and iguanas to look at when travelling from the pool area to the main lobby. The café, ice cream bar and Sports bar is an added bonus. The sports bar wasn’t able to get any hockey games which was a little disappointing but you could get pub food 24/7 there. Overall we were very happy with the resort.

This resort fully met all our expectations. We found the food was excellent in presentation, variety and taste. Our room was as requested in a quiet area and again exceeded our expectations. The ocean, the pools and the general grounds were well groomed. Everything was clean and orderly. The best thing about the resort in our opinion is the staff. They are excellent workers who exhibit kindness and warmth. I believe the administration must treat them well as they are a happy lot. Upon our arrival we met the resident manager Alberto Gomez who was very kind to us and never failed to come over to see how we were whenever we encountered each other. He was constantly all over the resort ensuring that all was running smoothly .Although the lobby, theater, ice creamery, and other shops are a 10-15 minute walk from the rest of the resort they provide a 24 hour shuttle service that keeps running between the two areas with a wait time of just a few minutes. If you prefer to walk this distance you will enjoy a tropical paradise of plants, birds and reptiles. We would definitely holiday here again and highly recommend this resort. the room was good a little old one day i saw a small lizard in the room and bugs in the fridge which startled me the food was good we mostly ate at the buffet one we went to el pilo restaurant food was awful we mostly stuck to the buffet occasionally ate at snack bar pools were good the beach nice show once they renovate this resort i will go as i hear they will renovate between may to dec 2020

This resort is ok . There are only 3 restaurants you can eat at , the rest you have to pay extra which Isn’t right. You should have all for no extra cost. Also there were no alcoholic drinks in our room and you had only cocktails and beer available without extra costs on resort.Rooms need to be updated and kids club wasn’t opened every time we went. The kids enjoyed feeding the birds on the resort and the staff were very friendly. Also resort was not crowded so was always able to get chairs.

Pros: Nice and well maintenance landscape. Nice beach. Nice pool. Nice and friendly staff Cons: I stayed at room 5406. Room is OK but bathroom is kind of dirty with mold at bathtub and vanity countertop. There is hot water in shower but not in vanity. Air conditioning's fan is super, SUPER loud. Turn off the fan is turn off air conditioning. Ceiling fan needs some oil. There is no blanket unless you ask for, standard is just a thin bed sheet. I asked for blanket and they gave me another sheet. lol. After a few nights, I finally got a "real" blanket. Wifi is only available at lobby which is far away from rooms. 5-7 minutes walk or using shuttle running back and forth between lobby and rooms/pool area. Internet is slow and on and off depends on locations in the lobby. Next to the reception get stronger signal. Food is ok. Nothing fancy but I got what I like to eat which is eggs station for breakfast. Cook to order pasta station for lunch and dinner and tasty soup. Overall is an OK experience. You get what you pay for.

The hotel is in a perfect location. The rooms are very clean, the grounds are kept nice, staff is very freindly. Food is amazing and it's a different theme each night. Great kids club and the entertainment staff are a lot of fun.

We enjoyed our stay because of the very beautiful landscaping and presence of wildlife. The restaurants and buffet were excellent. Lots of choices at the buffet. The restaurants were great. The servers were excellent. Cleaning was staff were very accomodating. Reception staff were fine. The only suggestion I would have is better maintenance in the rooms, ie plumbing and a/c. Hench we were required to move from the original room we were given. We met others with similar issues as we did. I would recommend this hotel if some updating had taken place.

The beach was beautiful, loved it!! The resort was nice and well laid out. I had read some negative reviews about the rooms but we had no problems with our room, it was not fancy but it was comfortable, our air conditioning worked and we had hot water in our shower. I enjoyed the food but had stomach issues through out the week, but was manageable with Imodium and Pepto Bismol. We also enjoyed the nightly entertainment. The sun & the sand made our vacation lovely!!

Stayed at the Tropical Princess and you get what you pay for. Property and grounds are very nice, the beach is exceptional, soft beige sand for miles in either direction from resort. This is defiantly a two tier resort, Tropical princess desperately needs some upgrades and maintenance, Caribe Club Princess definitely gets more attention to higher attributes but I am sure the pricing reflects this. Food in the general buffet is a 6 out of 10 unless you eat in the A la cart Restaurants of which you only get access to 2 when you stay at the Tropical but 5 if you stay at the Caribe Club. Would not recommend the Tropical Princess side of the resort but may recommend the Caribe Club side.

Couldn’t get the room below 27 degrees C. Asked a number of times to get it fixed and nothing was done about it. Not the end of the world since you don’t go to a resort to spend time in the room. Nights were not comfortable. Food And service was good and resort has a great beach. Overall a satisfactory resort. Loud around our room early in the am since we were close to the main buffet.

We had 2 family suites for our ladies week vacation. Rooms were spacious. We had a couple of glitches with the air conditioner in one room which was fixed after calling maintenance. Inconsistency with bringing the same # of towels each day. We tipped housekeeping each day and found that the general cleaning did deteriorate near the end of our stay. The rooms need some attention. Rust on a lot of fixtures. Missing fixtures. Lots of choice at the buffet. That said,we all had tummy troubles at least once. Not something that usually happens to any of us. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The Brazilian restaurant was a very nice experience. We did not go to the Dominican restaurant because we enjoyed the Dominican themed night at the buffet. The wine needs improvement. White,red and rose were not very good quality. Other drinks were nice, although quite strong(I’m sure many would enjoy this;) Wifi was very slow and unreliable in the lobby. Sunwing offered a shopping trip from the hotel to a small venue for jewellery, souvenirs and chocolate and cigars. This needs to be changed. It is really only a half hour of shopping. We had to wait over an hour to be allowed to return to the resort. A lot of very upset vacationers. Sitting around waiting for drivers that were just waiting inside the building not allowed/willing to bring us back to the resort. The shopping centre itself was alright,but this really detracted from what would have been a nice outing. The pools were all nice enough. Lots of loungers. The swim up pool was a bit rowdy for us but we switched to a different pool. The ladies bathroom by the quiet pool was very tight. The doors are very close to the toilets in each stall. Also, at the beginning of the week there was a soap dispenser but as the week progressed parts of it fell off. By the end of the week, it was completely off the wall and removed. There was no soap in this bathroom for the last 2 days of our trip. Needless to say, this is unacceptable. We used our own wipes and hand sanitizer. The grounds were lovely and the assortment of birds was amazing. The coffee shop had a really great assortment of specialty drinks and it was great to have ice cream and iced drinks in the afternoon.

L'extérieur de l'Hôtel est vraiment très bien entretenu. Dommage que ce n'est pas pour les chambres aussi. Il y a de la poussière partout, des caries du bois (rongeant la tête de lit), l'eau ne coule presque pas, etc. Donc, les chambres sont bien "fatiguées". Pour le reste, le service est superbe, le buffet est propre, la nourriture est bonne, l'extérieur est bien aménagé et très joli. Par contre, il y a bcp de circulation, les employés se promènent en scooter partout sur le site, est cela est en peu fatiguant (ils passent par les petites chemins des voyageurs). Il faut toujours faire attention pour ne pas se faire passer dessus. Attention avec les petits aussi. Pour: Beau extérieur, bel aménagement, belles piscines, bcp de palmiers, buffet propre, nourriture bonne, personnel souriant... Contre: Intérieur des chambres horrible, bcp de circulation dans le campus (scooters, camionnettes), plage pas très propre (bcp de restes d'arbres, petites branches), le bracelet à la main est trop rigide (fait mal et grafigne tout le monde et nous même), le bracelet à la main sert à rien (juste pour nous distinguer des autres hôtels, ce n'est même pas une clé pour ouvrir notre chambre - n'a pas de chip - alors, pourquoi le porter et se grafigner?), le service de serviettes est bizarre (ils nous donnent 3 ou 4 cartes, ça dépends combien de personnes voyagent dans votre familles, pour les serviettes - tu apporte la carte, ils te donnent la serviette, sinon - pas de serviette; aussi, il faut pas la perdre; au lieu de bracelet avec chip à la main pour ouvrir la chambre, ils te donnent 2 cartes (que tu peut perdre), pas de wi-fi (si tu veut ton service wi-fi dans la chambre, ça coute 35 $ / 7 jours, ou 10 $/jour (l'internet est lent et on ne peut pas accéder à certains sites (boutiques, magasins, etc).

Just got back a couple days ago from a week long stay and had a wonderful time! Went with my two adult daughters and son-in-law & stayed in the Caribe Club section. Our rooms were definitely not 'out-dated' as many reviews indicate, but we had a couple minor issues with the first room so they graciously moved us to another room with a great view. Many thanks to our Sunwing reps Richard D. and Juan Carlos for going above & beyond to accommodate us and the resort manager Ramone for upgrading us with no hesitation...I'm extremely impressed! I've been to the Dominican 5 times & many other Caribbean all-inclusives, and this was the best service/hosting I have experienced. Even check-in was a pleasure with Elias...I'm used to front desk reception being stone faced & unfriendly, but he was jovial, funny and very quick to get us checked in and on our way after travelling all day...the welcome drink is also such a nice touch. I know alot of resorts do this, but many don't...it really does make you feel welcome upon arriving. The layout of the complex is beautiful! Not too big that you feel lost, and definitely not small that you don't have options & feel closed in. 3 large pools to experience & a beach that you can literally walk for miles. The Atlantic is quite choppy, so you do get seaweed on the beach, but the guys are out there every day trying to get a handle on it...it didnt deter us from having fun in the waves...felt like a kid again! Food was really good at the main buffett, always lots of options. My girls are both vegetarians and can't eat gluten, and they were in heaven with all the fish, veggie and fruit options...especially the great omelets made to order every morning. I was rather amazed all week that I didn't see any guests tip...at bars, restaurants or anywhere...I'm sure some do, but I honestly didn't see one person hand any server or bartender anything. No tip jars anywhere either. I don't get it...these people work their butts off and put in long long days...we tipped everywhere and almost for every single drink...and they sure do appreciate it. Even our maid, when we asked for 'mucho agua' (we like lots of water bottles in our room) she left us a whole case! And not just once. Very thankful for that. Back to food...we went to the asian & mexican ala cartes...both were very good. Loved the mexican especially. As for drinks at the bars, I'm not big on too many sweet drinks, so was quite pleased that I could get white wine with lots of ice at all bars, not just at meals like many resorts. So, I give this resort two thumbs up! Sidenote: I believe they fumigate regularly, but if/when you receive a notice on your door handle giving you the option to have your room fumigated, I recommend doing it. Normally, I don't like using any kind of bug spray, but be preventative and have it done...helps the whole resort keep any pests at bay. Most resorts fumigate regulary too, afterall you are in the tropics, its par for the course.

We enjoyed our vacation but we had some issues which made this holiday (out of the three we've had in four years with our children) the least impressive one so far. We needed to be moved out of our first room (Lirio Bldg. Room 3309) as it was infested with insects. We killed between 30-40 the 2nd night we were there; mostly around the faucets and walls of the bathroom but we drew the line at 7-9 cockroaches. Very stressful as we found one in our luggage, my toiletry bag, and another on the headboard, for example. The manager was more than accommodating and was super apologetic. She did not seem surprised and said they'd have to fumigate the room. They moved us to a different room in the same building (Room 3223) and it had zero insects. Thank goodness! The A/C worked great and the water was hot, however the beds were super hard and the pillows were lumpy (they must wash them as the stuffing is distorted and hard in places). The rest of the resort was lovely. Palm trees everywhere!! No flowers like hibiscus as we've seen at other resorts in Mexico and Cuba, but the grass was well maintained, as well as the other foliage throughout the resort. We loved the Mangrove area with it's natural vegetation and wildlife like ducks, iguanas, turtles, cranes, etc. Very fun for the kids. The pools were amazing, especially the one with the bridge. Plenty of shade and it was shallow enough for my 8 year old daughter to play in. The buffet was great. The food was diverse, fresh, plentiful, and nicely displayed. The staff are very kind in the buffet and truly make you feel welcome. Some other staff members around the resort, like at La Creperie, are a little surly but I imagine they get a lot of disrespect and demands from tourists and they're exhausted from their exceptionally long days. It didn't bother me too much but it's worth mentioning. It does affect the memory of the trip. The beach is stunning. Sand is soft, warm, and clean. There is line of sea vegetation (not really seaweed) that lines the surf. It's not slimy seaweed and soft enough to walk on. It didn't really bother us. It's just to be expected as the surf brings it in all the time. The water itself is cloudy for the first 5 meters but then clears up past the surf. The waves are 2-3 feet so be wary. However, jumping in them was very fun. My 12 and 8 year old loved it although I always held on to my 8 year old's hand. The undertow is strong. We went at the end of May (20-27) so it wasn't super busy. We always found palapas to cool under, whether around the pool or at the beach. And there were plenty of loungers to relax on as well. Just another warning: smoking is allowed everywhere but the restaurants and buffet which meant that we were constantly breathing in a lot of 2nd hand smoke from a lot of European travelers. I mean a lot. At 4am we woke to the smell of horrid smoke in our hotel room as people were smoking in the lounge area in the common open-air hallway. Even though it's a "non-smoking' room, it's not a non-smoking resort. It was thick. The lobby is full of people looking for the wifi signal and smokers. We never ever found a table or bench to sit at to enjoy the lobby bar. Smoking is allowed around all areas of the pool. I wouldn't mind the smoke so much if there were sections for smokers and non-smokers. It sucks for the kids too. Lastly, and this is not really related to the hotel but it's definitely worth mentioning since our hotel rep sold it to us....please do not go on the catamaran excursion with Tours Point (Sunwing tour provider in DR). It was nothing but an ear-splitting, party boat and pick up place for the 5 male staff members to get some numbers from the girls. It was really offensive and totally inappropriate for kids. We were told by our Sunwing Rep that the morning tour is family friendly and not a party boat. We were so mislead. The music was so loud (and I'm not a prude) and I couldn't handle the distortion of sound or the fact that it was offensively and painfully loud and crass. Imagine how this affected my son and daughter. We wanted to give them an open seas experience on their first catamaran and it was a disaster. What a waste of A LOT of money. The snorkeling lasted 15 minutes and the rest of the time was an open bar. They advertise it as a 'sailing' catamaran and it's not. There is no sail whatsoever. Please do your research and make sure to avoid Tours Point Catamaran tours. Fair warning. I read alot of reviews about Tropical Princess Beach Resort and even though some of what I'm saying was read before we booked, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. But in the end, I wouldn't have booked here had I known we would have had bug issues or smoking throughout the resort. It's a beautiful resort but it needs to be updated. I hope this helps.

Wow, what a nice vacation ! Can't say anything bad about the place. Incredible beach, great for walking in both directions, beautiful resort and superb grounds, with mini-jungle with ducks and peacocks (would be great with children). Very satisfied with the buffet (didn't even go to any a-la-carte restaurants.) And the animation team (especially Victor) does such a great job !They work very hard and it really livens up the place ! Bravo ! And the 3 amazing big pools ! ! ! And we could always find a place to sit in the shade. The only little disappointment was with the breeze on the beach, sometimes it could get a little cold when you were still wet from being out of the water. I thought it would have been warmer. But there is plenty of sun to warm you up ! Beautiful all around !

During our stay, we never got any hot water in the room. No coffee maker, no iron . The food at the buffet very mediocre, always the same. At night nothing to do, lobby only radio music. Show very mediocre. Stay 8 times in Punta Cana, this resort was the worst.

This hotel is very rundown. Many issues in the room. Large shower leaking from the room above, right through the light fixture. Had matenance in to look at it still leaked. Small shower floods after just a couple of minutes. Wooden door on balcony looks as if it has been kicked in could see everything right through the door frame. Balcony railing not anchored to outside wall. As well as cracks on concrete where the balcony and railing are to be attached. Can be a real safety issue if you are not aware. Wires hanging on balcony where a light fixture was, other light not working either. Glass on balcony door almost out of frame every time you opened the door. No handle on door so you must place your hand on glass to open and close. Locks very difficult operate especially if you have hand mobility issues. Outside mini putt very worn condition greens have many tears. Table and chairs in main lobby many of them ready to fall down. Cabinet doors at bar areas falling off hinges. Make it look very cheap. The majority of the staff very friendly. Although you will always have those few whom are not friendly. Our Sunwing rep was unfortunately very arrogant and rude. Major confusion as far as what restaurants were included and what was not. On one occasion waited for Richard for over an hour and a half to help us. He didn't show. Next day tried to talk with him again was told to come back. We came back and waited again for another hour no show. When he finally showed it was time for us to go on our excursion. Still no resolution. That was when we were informed he wouldn't be back until the day we left. Felt very let down. As well as feeling as though we were bothering him. Nice to know that we spent so much time of our vacation waiting on Richard for nothing. Met with another Sunwing rep ( person covering for him) At least she was able to help us find out a few answers. Pools were nice and cleaned regularly. Beach was beautiful. Not very much as far as evening entertainment. Good thing for TV. Most bartenders were awesome as well as restaurant staff. Food not the greatest. Paid a lot of money for this vacation but felt very let down. I have been to the Dominican before and very pleased that time. Not sure I would go back after this experience On a good note our flight to and from the Dominican were good, food was good. We paid for our excursions on the plane and we were glad. We have no issues with our travel agent or our Sunwing flight crew

The hotel is located at the beach,which is amazing! The buffet was great and ghe food was delicious and different every day! Rooms are a bit dated but decent. There are peacocks and birds on the resort premises.Overall great value for the price we paid!

Room were nice had a 2 bedroom but only one toliet worked. Even when we left a note no one repaired it, just took the plugger to it. Not a big issue. Was there to relax and that we did. Grounds were very nice. Food good. Enjoyed the activities. I would go again

We have fallen in love with this resort! everything was perfect! This was our first time at this resort, we always stay at Grand Palladium so when we came to this resort we were blown away staff were amazing its a smaller resort than what we are use too, but we were so sad to leave we are coming back next year! Dollars we couldn’t use it because no one there could help us We spoke to the représentant of sunwing and he didn’t know what to do so now we have a voucher no good to us I would like to be compasentated for the trouble I went through wasting à who,e half day trying to sort this out no a happy camper

We spent the week at Tropical Princess resort. Had a family suite. 2 adults, 3 children. Overall great vacation! 5/5: food 5/5: service 5/5: beach and pools 3/5: rooms Rooms need a deep cleaning especially bathrooms. Very dusty furniture even though cleaning lady passed everyday. Royalton sellers were too demanding, harassing us every morning at the buffet to come to a 20 mins meeting for them to get their commision. It got really annoying during 6 days to have to say no 5-6 times a day. Wish the hotel would forbid this company. It's not helpful to anyone and i question if they actually earn a living from this. Was our first visit to punta cana and loved the animation in pool, the servers at the buffet were very efficient and the creperie was delicious!!! Would recommend and come again!

The resort was very Colourful , lots of swimming areas. The main eating area had a good variety of food. Love the Crepe place. The only dislike was the rain unfortunately we didn't get enough pool time or sun.

Just returned from a week stay here. Rooms definitely need updating and a really good cleaning. Wouldn't be a place I would stay at again. A/C didn't work. Being hassled by Royal Holidays everyday and could be 10 times during the day was very annoying. Couldn't even go for breakfast or lunch as they stand right at the entrance. We were basically pushed to their building for a 60 mins info session for something we had no interest in purchasing. There are people on the beach also selling things but were not pushy. Beach was okay, nice sand, its quite wavy there. Food was fine you always found something to eat. We loved Cristion and Luis who are waiters in the buffet. Very friendly! The lobby is a distance from everything, but the tram runs constantly. If you need WiFi it is only in the lobby but can be very hard to get on to, just something to know for people who can't live without it. Ridizzio is a must try restaurant, delicious and staff was awesome. We went for the warmth and relaxation and we got that, but we personally would not choose this resort again.

Very happy ,good choice I made ; I liked the whole set up, the room are far away from the lobby so you can relax when you wanted, you can be driven to your room or you can walk through ponds .The rooms , swimming pools ,the beach,etc. are kept clean.The food is so good and no shortage at all ,loved the entertainment; very good shows every night .What I liked the most was how friendly most of the staff is ;specially Johanna at the front desk,Rene and everybody at the buffet ,too may nice people to name.I complained about a small detail ,next day the problem was fixed.

The staff was amazing. The rooms need updating but not bad. Had a few issues but they took care of it quickly. Took our 3 young daughters and we felt safe letting them run around on their own. Have to get up early to get pool or beach chairs. The beach towels were also hard to get, they never had enough clean and ready. They blamed the guest's for not returning them each night.

At this resort Jan. 26th to Feb. 2. 2017. The resort is a bit dated, but beautiful! The grounds and plants are kept nice! There is wildlife on the resort meaning...birds, peacocks, ducks, turtles...oh and some cats! The path from the rooms to the lobby has all swamp with the wildlife. It was pretty interesting to see...but some did not like this wildlife on the resort. Rooms were kept clean! Pools were well cleaned. The beach, extremely lovely with nice soft sand. The bar staff great but don't know all the drinks..and I mean popular drinks like margarita on the rocks..not that slushi stuff. I felt like the restaurant (buffet) staff not motivated! Especially with us wearing silver wristband. Others who wore orange , purple or blue wristbands was escorted to their tables and waiter and waitresses serving them drinks and continuous service! We, with silver wristbands did not get much service.The front reception were also not motivated. we had plastic key issues (not being able to open our room) and I waited and waited at the reception for guy to come give me another key ( about half hour) Our patio door did not open...too difficult.(old). The food was good, but not great! We only had two a la carte restaurants which were "the Brazillian restaurant" and the "Dominican restaurant". The other colored wristbands were able to choose 4 a la cart restaurants! We did not know this at time of booking that based on price and wristbands colors we would have less or more! Chiggers...are there and make sure you have repellent to keep them off of you. These mites bite and my legs were covered and so very itchy. ..I had about 130 bites. If you have allergic reactions like me...these bites swell and are more intense itchy and take weeks to go away! Anyways..overall the resort wasn't bad...but for a 4 star and the money for this resort...should have been better. I am not hard to please....but staff were not smiling and again not motivated...even tipping didn't get them moving much. I guess I didn't tip enough...who knows! The resort is beautiful..and colorful buildings had tropical character! I would recommend this resort. But I would not go back unless they improve on some things!

We loved the grounds, our room, the food and the hospitality. We found the pool to be a little cold but the beach was a wonderful white sand. The workers on the resort are very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time and would definitely return.

This is the best resort we have been to. The food was amazing. The rooms were always clean and the service was very good. People were friendly and helpful. Had a great time and would go back to this resort.

Resort was very big. Three big pools and plenty of restaurants. Never felt that there were too many people around you. Rooms could have been better kept. We had to change rooms mid-way during our stay because of bathroom issues. People and staff were very friendly and made the trip enjoyable.

I start with what I love about this hotel, this is our second time to this hotel, I love the colorful outside walls of the hotel also the hotel grounds are huge so there is a good long walk to the lobby with curvy roads and ponds and wild birds and turtles along the path. The beach is perfect shallow and warm and turquoise color. The rooms are spacious and have free bottle water and soft drinks in mini fridge. There is a safe in the room and free with sunwing , otherwise they said you have to pay to use it. The beds are hard to sleep on and the bed cover is a sheet and blanket and a thin bed cover so I was missing a fluffy feel of a comforter, also pillow is flat did not support my head . We had good AC in the room, but no water pressure or hot water , kind of useless to install a HUGE shower head in each bathroom if there is only dripping water coming out of some of its holes of the shower head. Our room was big and clean, we got 2 rooms with 2 bathrooms , one room had 2 queen size bed and the other 1 queen size bed with a door separating them. Now lets talk about the food, we ate buffet every day as with this hotel you can only choose 2 other restaurants out of the 5. So there are a lot of variety of food to eat but the taste is usually disappointing, there is not much taste to anything, fish was good and the fried eggplant , my kids ate a lot of pasta and fries and we tried almost everything. Desserts were boring , only the vanilla custard was good and one of the coconut desert and the round brownies. Close to the beach there is a place to eat crepes, they have also ice cappuccino and other desserts, the crepes are hard tasteless and thick, could not eat it. Needs to change the recipes for the crepes, the internet is full of good recipes, should not be that hard to make it right. So over all, the hotel grounds are like paradise and the beach is perfect, everything is clean, but food and bed and the cold shower needs big improvement otherwise this Hotel will not able to maintain its 4 starts.

Dirthy but the beach very nice . The food is ok but the room is very dirthy and the pool to. the resort is ok and the lobby have nice show the evenyng. I donty go back but is ok for other persone its me i prefer 5 stars its the best

Rooms outdated and warm Food ok but not muc variety. Locals take over on weekends and are are very loud!!! Beach full of seaweed. Me and my son got sick for a few days. You better speak spanish or else good luck! I wouldn't return to this resort.

This resort is Beautiful, the tress, shrubs, grounds, beach all excellent. the outside appearance of the resort is first class, The food I found good but many in our party did not like, the rooms were very clean but very outdated, some newer furniture, beds, sheets would be a huge improvement.

We just returned from a week at the Caribe Club Princess. We were originally booked in the Tropical Princess but were not happy with the room so we arranged to switch. Caribe Club much better, very clean, incredible variety of food (if you leave the table hungry it's because you want to be) and exceptional service all around, especially Jose, Nelsa and Ignacio at the main buffet. Would go back. Don't hold your breath for Spanish lessons though, I didn't get one all week.

Rooms were clean, food was great, beach was awesome, people friendly. Just beware of Deep Sea Fishing excursion. Staff went out in very rough sea and wouldn't turn back even when all tourists requested they do so!

the grounds are well kept the staff work hard but if you expect air conditioning in the room good luck most rooms no air but rooms are well kept and clean the food is good but I would say stay at one of the sister princess resorts staying at the tropical princess you are only allowed to use 2 of the 5 alacart restaurants if you would like to go to the others its 11$ per person
