Jacuzzi in the room was not clean so we never used it. Food: buffet was ok but the main restaurant like the grill, bana was garbage. Drinks: they use too much sugar and ice in drinks, they put coke in beer. For sure not a 5 star hotel. Staff service was good and fast

Grounds: the property was beautiful! Huge trees, tons of flowers and greenery, clean, perfectly manicured walkways, ponds and flamingos everywhere. One of the nicest resort properties i've ever visited. Rooms: We had upgraded to the Reserve which is a private area with massive suites on the resort. This area has it's own pool, buffet etc. HOWEVER it is the furthest area from the beach and the main restaurants so you have to wait for a golf cart anytime you want to go basically anywhere. Also, crazy that you pay so much extra for an upgrade assuming you have ocean view but its not. Better off booking something smaller but with ocean view at the front of the resort. Dining: Food was meh. Buffet was not great, they had like 3 small buffets scattered bc resort was big with the same thing offered at each. Would have preferred a larger buffet with more food options. the selection didnt change much and the taste was meh. We never went for seconds or overly indulged ever. Drinks: there were lots of bars and areas to get a drink, never had to go too far which was really nice. lots of drink options and quick service. They were friendly to the teens too and didnt give them a hard time either. The restaurants we booked were surprising all meh in taste as well. was super disappointed with the food. It wasnt as bad as Cuba but it was close. Pools: pools were big, clean and surrounded by beautiful trees/flowers and pool chairs. Almost all the chairs were reserved by 9am every morning so you basically had to pay the pool staff to get you one. Once you figured out thats how it worked, it was fine. Beach: Gorgeous white sand beach, long strip so you could walk forever. We had a windy week so I cant comment on the water bc it was probably a bit less calm than usual but was still nice. Lots of seating on the beach, nice little bar as well for drinks.

Had a wonderful time at the Reserve Punta Cana. The resort grounds are gorgeous and the beach amazing. Our room was nice with a comfy bed. Food at the buffet was good, flavorful and plenty of choices. Fruits was my favorite. Restaurants were OK. Loved the entertainment staff at night as they showed us how to dance the DR way in the main lobby. Did not see any shows so can't comment on them. Would definitely love to return one day.

the management and services of the resort is not according to stars ratings just an average , I give them only 3 stars, the place punta cana is amazing next time if I travelling there I will try another resort.

Stayed at the Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana in the second week of March 2018. Our week-long stay was too short; our overall experience was ultra sweet! Food was always excellent and varied in the Reserve buffet; reservation-only restaurants ranged from great (Vento,Bana) to average (Mole, Aqua); the grounds are SPECTACULAR; the staff super-friendly and extremely accommodating and happy in their work; the beach was pristine (they machine groom to remove seaweed several times a day); the shuttle service to the beach and main Paradisus hotel was unpredictable; the rooms were spacious and VERY clean. Family Concierge service well worth the extra expense if you have kids. Everything at the Reserve portion Is a cut above—plus it is MUCH less crowded. Am going back!

People are genuinely friendly, and the grounds are very well taken care of. You feel safe walking the vast grounds no matter what time of day. Suites at the Reserve are spacious if somewhat dated. Pools are beautiful and the Reserve area of the beach is not croweded with ample place to spread out. Food at the resort is average. Of all the a la carte restaurants only Vento stood out as memorable. It’s not as if the food is bad (it’s not), but don’t expect gourmet. Buffets for lunch are less than inspired (buffet at beach is better than buffet at reserve). Reservations for the a la carte restaurants were not hard to secure. Alcohol flows expected and premium brands can be found if you ask nicely. Kids club and activities for adults were a nice surprise.

Our family had a fabulous stay at The Reserve at Paradisus from Oct 5th to Oct 12th. We were very impressed by the all amenities offered at this resort. Upon arrival we were greeted promptly and warmly by the hotel staff. Our check-in was very quick and efficient. The resort overall is modern, clean and well maintained. The landscaping is lovely as hotel grounds are maintained daily. We stayed in a one bedroom Master suite. This suite was quite large and spacious with a separate dining and living area (with pullout sofa). The room was clean and well maintained. The minibar was well stocked with plenty of beverages and snacks. The turndown service in the evenings was a nice touch. All Villas at The Reserve are close to the pool. The resort has two pools – a large main pool and another one for kids. Both pools are big, clean and well maintained with plenty of cabana/sun beds that surround them. Kids Club, which is located right beside the kid’s pool, was excellent and safe. The staff is wonderful and they truly enjoy spending time with the little ones. The Kids Club has many daily and nightly activities planned for the kids, ensuring that they never get bored. My 3 year old had a blast and frequently asked if she could spend some time there throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend a visit to the YHI spa. Very relaxing and professional and the spa services are wonderful. The beach was beautiful and only a 5-10 minute walk from the resort. However, you could also take the trolley as it frequently travels to and from the beach. The Reserve has an exclusive area on the beach with many cabanas/sun beds. They also have a bar in this area that offers plenty of drinks and snacks. For those that need to stay connected, the WIFI signal was strong throughout the resort – beach included! The food was good and fresh, however, we would have liked to see more variety. It gets pretty repetitive seeing the same food options daily. We ate at 5 a la carte restaurants – Bana, The Grill, Vento, Fuego, and Mole. The service was great at all the restaurants, however, Vento, Bana, and Mole stood out for us in terms of the food they served. Nightly entertainment was a lot of fun, with different shows offered on a nightly basis. Lion King, Micheal Jackson – King of Pop, and Cirque stood out among the 7 shows we saw. The service is exceptional. The staff is very courteous and attentive and would always greet us when we walked by. They pay extra attention to the little ones always greeting them with a big smile and hug or high five. All staff was excellent. However, we would like to give special recognition to the following people: Jonathan Medina and Wander Rua at the Reserve Pool area are very attentive and always checked in on us to make sure we had drinks in our hands. They always made an effort to say “Hola” to our daughter. Maria Ester and Angela at the YHI Spa are incredible. We have visited different Spas around the world and these two ladies are definitely at the top of our list for providing us with a massage that not only focused on our problem areas but was relaxing as well. Helen, Jack, Melissa and team from the Kids Club did an excellent job of taking good care of our 3 year old daughter. She really enjoyed her time at the Kid Zone. Anthony Cidat, Junior Sheri and Jose Decomp at Gabi/Vento -their great service and attentiveness made our dining experience that much better. Santos and team at The Reserve Beach Area always greeted us with a smile and made sure we were enjoying our time at the beach. Germania (aka Naomi) , who was running the towel service as well as the pool and beach activities was a pleasure to see on a daily basis as she was always upbeat and smiling and super sweet to our daughter. Our concierge, Erika Trinidan (Building #37), was very attentive to our needs ensuring a comfortable stay in our room. She made our daughter’s day by surprising her with a bubble bath full of balloons. Overall, a wonderful stay and we would highly recommend experiencing an all-inclusive vacation at The Reserve.

The hotel grounds were so beautiful and there was lots to explore. The food was quite good, both a la carte as well as the buffets! We stayed at the reserve which had huge rooms. The only problem about the room in my opinion was the light switches made no sense. Sounds kind of silly but there were probably 25 light switches in a 900 sqf room with 2 master switches and it was just super confusing. Beach area was beautiful, lots of waves & seating. There was also a lifeguard and security. People were friendly, especially Lorenzo Frias. I really appreciate his service and kindness in our stay.

The Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana was exactly as promised .... 5 star luxury! Able to take advantage of all amenities of the larger Paradisus Punta Cana side knowing you can come back to the peace and quiet of The Reserve. Beach was beautiful, people are beautiful, pool, food, rooms, all beautiful! Thanks Melanie Miller from TripCentral for putting together a perfect vacation for us!!

We felt very at home with the wonderful people who cleaned our room, our concierge, the waiters, the bartenders, the chefs, and especially the kids zone staff. Every need was tended too and our children were occupied by the pools, kid zone and the beach so, in turn, my husband and I were able to relax as well. We will be back!

We loved this resort - travelled as a couple with baby and grandparents. Stayed in two, one bedroom suites which were huge. We did not upgrade to family concierge. Beautiful grounds - easy to walk, above average AI food, excellent drinks, friendly customer service. Absolutely geared to families looking for a higher-end vacation - lots of well behaved kids and babies. I would truly recommend elsewhere if you are looking for a party scene, entertainment or a rowdy crowd. The resort is one of the few higher end resorts left that are not adults only so leave this one for the wee ones if children are bothersome to you :) Rooms are well appointed but can be incredibly noisy depending in how careless your neighbours are - bring a white noise machine for children (they could use some door silencers/jammers to prevent banging doors at all hours and some covers on chair bottom covers to prevent squealing chairs being dragged across suites). In addition there are about 20 light switches and two thermostats which can cause alot of frustration. Pool is huge/clean and ocean is lovely - shaded chairs are (almost) always available. Shuttle can take you to the beach - or you can walk (probably about 12 minute walk) - as a guest of The Reserve there is a private bar/washrooms and sectioned off part of the beach which is an awesome perk if you are a shade seeker/need shade for your little one! No problem booking a la cartes a few days in advance, just see the concierge in your building soon after you arrive. We enjoyed Vento, The Grill, and the teppanyaki the best! Enjoy!

The resort property is exceptionally clean and well landscaped and the hotel suites are very large and modern with all the amenities of a 6 star hotel that you would find in North America. There are dozens of restaurants offering a variety of mouthwatering menus located throughout the resort within a short walking distance or you can take one of several shuttles available to whisk you anywhere you want to go including to the magnificent white sand beach located at the other end of the resort. There are plenty of daily activities that you can participate in or you can just lazily read a book or swim in the many large pools. The staff are exceptional and really get to know you and cater to your every need. All inclusive... all the food and drinks are included, which is the best part of the trip! Sun and fun all the time and never too hot! This resort is a fun place that caters to all ages including young kids that have their own kids activity centre and pool. This is my third time to the Dominican Republic and my second straight time to the Reserve. I look forward to coming back next year to the Reserve without hesitation!

This was our second visit to The Reserve and it was as good, maybe better, than our first. The staff are lovely, the service is personalized and the resort is beautiful. Our meals were great and our room was spacious and comfortable. We're already planning our return next year!

The resort was amazing. For individuals, couples, families who enjoy being a little more active, you will NOT regret selecting the Reserve section of the Paradisus Punta Cana. There is a breathe taking walk through an "eco-park" filled with a variety of palm trees, flowers, on a winding pathway complimented with calming music to bring you to the main part of the resort and stunning beach. You have exclusive use of two pools (one for children), a wonderful buffet restaurant, a la carte restaurant, and small pool side grill. The "standard" room was outstanding with no need to upgrade. We thoroughly enjoyed the cozier and laid back atmosphere of the Reserve. An added bonus of staying in the Reserve is that you have a separate "private" portion of the beach that was quite easy getting chairs, Palapas, and even beds on the pristine beach. In the main part of the resort, you have an excellent selection of two more buffet restaurants and multiple a la carte restaurants. Most of which either face the beach and ocean, and or offer inside and outside dining choices. The staff always seemed very content and were eager to assist in anyway they could to enhance your vacation stay. We walked a total of ~ 5 kms along the Bavaro Beach area, and the beach at the Paradisus Punta Cana was in our opinion the nicest .... by a long shot! We are planning on going back in November to Punta Cana, and will without a shadow of a doubt rebook here!

Reserve restaurant and buffets lacked service and support. The ommellette chef never had plates or ingredients to make omelletes and little to no support staff. The mini bar never stocked, and most times needed to call for refill.

Have stayed at this hotel 5 times before but this was the first time at the Reserve. Upgrade was certainly worth the extra $. Obviously we like the place since we have stayed there so many times-- good food, great staff and our bar runners on the beach

Facilities were outstanding - We had a suite. Huge pool, Restaurants open and airy. Food was great - Lots of variety. Antony at Vento restaurant made our evening. Staff was friendly. Shout out to Raymond and Naomi the social conveners. Best beach front in the area.

The hotel and the rooms were excellent. The staff attentive, we never felt pressured to tip. Ovi our concierge was very professional, personable, attentive and helpful. The Master suite was more than expected, wonderful bed, relaxing hot tub and more space than most single apartments back home. Great selection of food with Lobster and Fillet on the Gabi Beach Buffet every night, did not make going to the restaurants a requirement. Beautiful beach even though mother nature tried to cover it in sea weed every day. The resort was immaculate, clean and kind to the eyes. The gentle man selling the art work at the lobby flea market was wonderful, a respectful gentleman with nice wares! The one excursion we took "Zip Lining" was fantastic. Summary: Would return in a heart beat". A few "cons" that did not ruin the vacation but could be addressed: a few aggressive and rude vendors at the lobby flea market, and sometime s the wait for a glass of water or attention at the buffets was a little excessive.

Awesome resort, friendly staff, great food restaurants, awesome pools. Our only complaint was the beach which was beautiful but the seaweed was awful, too much of it, maybe the time of year? The pools more than made up for it tough! Best pools ever.

The hotel was very clean, spacious and had great amenities. We had access to several pools, the beach, nightly entertainment and 11 excellent restaurants. The staff was amazing and very helpful. There was an array of customers at the hotel and many that I spoke with had been to Punta Cana several times and each said this was the best hotel they had stayed at. This is the first all inclusive that I had participated with and had heard of some negatives from people that travel more frequently but the food was excellent and the drinks were well made. I was very happy with this package and would suggest this location to anyone looking to spend some worry-free time away from home. I would definitely return to this resort on a future vacation, very impressed.

This was our forst time to Punta Cana and the only disappointment was not booking a longer stay! We stayed at the Reserve Paradisus. A great place for families, but there were also many couples without kids. The pool was huge and always extremely clean. Poolside beverage service was also great. We stayed in a one bedroom family suite and opted for the family concierge option. This came in handy as our concierge (Sandra) was great and booked all our dinners and our poolside cabana every day for us. There is also an amazing kids club with activities if you have children. The food choices were great (including the buffets) and the a la carte restaurants were delicious with tons of choices. If you are staying on the Reserve portion of the resort, you have access to all restaurants and pools throughout the whole resort, although those not staying in the Reserve section don't have access to all amenities in the Reserve section. We will be returning again next year. Highly recommened.

We enjoyed this resort very much. The food was great (especially at The Grill), our room on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool (Master Suite) was perfect for our family of four. My kids (6 and 8) enjoyed the kids pool and playground at the Kids Zone. The best part was the comfortable beach and pool chairs and beds! The staff was attentive and kind. The only negative was when they try to get you to attend a 90 minute presentation to sell you on becoming a member of Club Melia!
