Beautiful inside the lobby at the Ziva. A little dated on the outside which was being scraped and painted while we were there. The grounds were being worked on also. I love that the landscape was natural. Our section of the Zilara was very dated and needed a little loving care. The room was very clean. Housekeeping was wonderful and the fridge was stocked and snacks provided every day. Most of the staff were friendly. Some didn't seem too happy to be working there. The food was excellent at all a la cartes as well as the buffet where there was so much to chose from. I would put this hotel as a 4, not a 5,just because it needs some tender loving care.

My husband and I just got back from this amazing resort in Montego Bay and what a wonderful place. A true 5 star with a private beach, many options for dining and the pools and gardens are gorgeous. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. We will definitely go back

We spent two weeks at this resort and it was amazing!! Check in took place right and the airport which saved us from waiting in lines at the hotel when we arrived at the hotel. We were surprised to be given a substantial upgrade from a swim up room to a one bedroom swim-up suite. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful. We have been to Jamaica many times over the years, but have never experienced such incredible staff everywhere we went. The resort itself was spotless as were the rooms. The restaurants, bars were all very good. They had great entertainment nightly!! All in all this resort was the overall best we have been to in Jamaica or any other Caribbean Island that we have stayed at. We would definitely go back there in a heartbeat!!💕

Poolside service was always great Grounds very clean Food was very good Cons: not a “true” adults only when adults from the ziva can come over too 4 of 6 restaurants were on the family side, which meant children at those dinners Our bed was not a king as booked - they tried to tell me it was but we’ve stayed at 6 adults only resorts in Jamaica and always had a king bed No buffet on adult side Evening entertainment was lacking For us, we expected to go to the family side only by choice not in order to enjoy most of the amenities We made the most of it and enjoyed ourselves but, if you’re expecting an adults only hotel this is not the one for you

We have been to this hotel before. The grounds were nice and they were kept clean of litter. The room was adequate but starting to look a little worn compared to our last room on the same floor. The restaurants are still amazing

The hotel was average in terms of amenities and food. I did not like the constant up-sell for liquor and $5 for coconuts is absurd. I would not return as I booked an Adult only resort and was disappointed that adults at the Ziva had access. The buffet dinners were oddly themed. Jamaica night 3 times in the week when there was a Jamaica station every meal. I loved the Brazillian and French restaurants, service and meal quality was very good.

The grounds are immaculate and very well laid out. Love that there is an adult side as well. Service was great and everyone was very friendly. Beach is great too with enough loungers for everyone. Would go again!

From the time we got off the plane we were excited to get our honeymoon started which was perfect because the resort was only 10-15 min away from the hotel. Unfortunately the hotel was not great with an early check in, we arrived at 11 am and waited until 2 pm to get our room. However, we were able to visit the restaurants and use the resort facilities. We stayed in the renovated Junior Suite King Ocean View (fifth floor) building 4, unbelievable view! The room was a great size for 2 people, clean and cool I felt really comfortable. The stand up shower was on and off warm to hot and part of the bath showerhead wasn't working, once management was aware they were kind to send someone to fix. Only complaint about the room would be when we asked for our room to be cleaned around 9:30 am and returned multiple times to the room around 11 am, and 1 pm the room wasn't clean -happened one day. Also when ordering room service the staff on the phone wasn't the nicest. The resort was gorgeous! We stayed on the Zilara side, the bottom of the ocean was completely rocky- water shoes were a must. We spent everyday at the beach on the Ziva side, this was clear and soft sand however there were small patches of seaweed. On the Zilara side we used the main pool, this is where the main activities and entertainment were during the day- Kevon was great to get people involved and Kelly-Ann with her enthusiasm, very entertaining. It would be nice for the hotel to put more smaller cabanas that don't need to be rented- there were two on the adult side and mostly were taken up by a towel for majority of the day. Better regulations on when to use these would be helpful. We were able to use them twice during our stay- we didn't use it for an extremely long time (1-2h) then left to get food and give someone else a chance- its a nice way to cool off. There were a ton of fire pits all over the resort- this was very nice in the night to go and sit and relax after dinner. Food....amazing! So many a la carte restaurants to choose from for lunch and dinner, we couldn't choose a favourite but the best lunch spot was calypso or visiting the Jerk hut. The Zilara side could use a better breakfast buffet. We went to ChoiceZ or Horizon for breakfast every morning- options were great here. Staff at these restaurants are extremely friendly and so kind. The night we went to Fuzion was extremely busy but it was a nice dinner experience with the live cooking. DiRoza- the Italian restaurant was okay, the best thing about the restaurant is the wood oven pizza and you can take out! Petit Paris was delicious from mains to dessert! Brazilian steak was nice for a change as well, however they need more variety. They had 7 meats and only 3 were not pork based (chicken, lamb, and steak). Fish or grilled shrimp would have been a nice touch...no lobster on site! The round the clock coffee bar/desserts at the hotel is a sweet touch, we went every morning however, the cappuccinos from the restaurants seemed to be better made. Keep in mind, to get fresh coconut water it is $5 USD a coconut- crazy expensive but delicious! Nightly entertainment was great when we arrived, lovely singing (right where you eat), fire and aqua shows, beach parties and more. However, towards the end of the stay we noticed that the entertainment went down (Wed/Thursday night) probably because the hotel was hosting many private events. We saw approx. 3 weddings happen when we stayed at the hyatt, looked beautiful however this meant that walking along the docks around sunset and near the beach was restricted. The crowd ranges from mid 30's to 50's and older, we were one of the younger couples (25-30) we didn't mind. Overall this was a great resort, we had a lovely time staff was kind and food was amazing. We would visit again:)

it was so clean and the grounds are beautiful the staff are just amazing I love them all it was just what I needed was that relaxing time the rooms are very well kept It is one of my favorite places to go and will go bavk again The owners and management need to really appreciate all the hard work people on your staff I do not have any complaints about any of your staff they all treated me great and that us important to me when I travel alone I might add I was late getting into the Hotel on Jan 31/19 because if later leaving Toronto the room they gave me was not the one I wanted so I waited back in lobby for about an hour and a half and they did get me into the room I wanted so thank you for that

Just returned from the Zilara after 7 amazing days. I can't say enough about the resort starting with the Staff. I can honestly say I have never better staff at any of the resorts I have ever been to. They were all so nice, friendly and accommodating. They definitely aim to please and any way they can help you enjoy your stay, they do their best to. The pool was awesome and the daily entertainment was very interactive and fun. The Resort's entertainment staff were really great and did a great job getting the guests engaged. The food was great and there was plenty to choose from and several restaurants. The Hobi Cat boat rides were really nice and we were fortunate enough that the dolphins were right by our boat and were playfull so a bonus to see that. We also went out in the kayak which was fun. The rooms were nice and clean and we had a beautiful view overlooking the pool as well as the ocean. I would highly recommend the Zilara. It is also nice that Montego Bay airport is so close so you don't spend half your time travelling to and from.

We had an excellent vacation at the Hyatt Rose Zilara. The restaurants and in particular, Petit Pariz and Urban Heatz, were fantastic. The beach on the Zilara side had a bit too much seaweed, but there was a better combed beach just seconds away on the Ziva side. The service was impeccable, the room was very well appointed and we would certainly recommend this resort to our friends and family.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful. Rooms were clean and tidy. Resort is a good size so you can get around quickly. The food was amazing we didn’t have one bad meal the whole time and the staff were incrediable. Very friendly and made sure everyone was having a good time!

The hotel is amazing. The staff was super courteous which made our stay very pleasurable. This is one of the most memorable trips that my husband and I have had so far. I would definitely recommend the Hyatt Zilara.

The resort was within 20 minutes of the airport which was excellent- The bus guide was humorous and gave some interesting points of interest enroute! We were greeted with smiles and momosas to drink and were into our suite within an hour of arriving. The suite was beautiful and well appointed, the bed was very comfortable, the patio was large and had a love seat on it with a beautiful view of the ocean and the resort. The grounds were immaculate and very tropical with beautifully laid stone walk ways throughout the resort. The pools were absolutely beautiful and the higher level infinity pool having connecting channels to some of the swim out suites adding so much character. The beaches were very clean with different areas to swim in. The ocean water temperature was very warm. The life guard Dante at the ocean gazebo was very pleasant and helpful. The snorkling area was limited to seeing a few small fish by the gazebo in the shallow water.The small catamarans were alot of fun!! The customer service was friendly and efficient- top notch! The beach butler service was excellent frequently asking us if they could bring us drinks. There was always food available from poolside and beach side bars( pizzas, jerk chicken, burgers...) to the buffets and the a la cartes. We especially enjoyed the Italian and French restaurants! Unfortunately at the Asian (Japanese ) a la carte we felt extremely rushed and the dinner was very fragmented. We mentioned this to our server Nera at the Horizons restaurant at breakfast. We were contacted by the manager of the Asian restaurant that evening addressing our concerns and tried to rectify it.Our recommendation would be to have tables of four to allow for variable guest arrivals and food delivery. Additionally the work out facilities were top notch. We would highly recommend this resort to all others!!

We thought the resort was amazing and everything about the resort was outstanding. The staff could not do enough and the grounds and room was everything we thought it would be. I would recommend this resort to my friends and family. If I could, I would book again for another week. Overall, it was outstanding and relaxing.

This was our first introduction to an all-inclusive resort. This was the honeymoon we never took 23 years ago. While there were a few hiccups along the way overall this was a fantastic vacation. We loved everything about this resort except the beach. There was lots of choice in terms of restaurants and type of dining you wanted. We loved the Choicez Buffet Restaurant (which we ate almost every day for breakfast and lunch). There was no waiting for someone to serve you and there was an incredible variety of foods to choose from. Something for everyone's taste buds! We tried almost every specialty restaurant. Each and everyone of them were delicious and service was for the most part excellent at all of them. Servers were kind and very professional. We had a swim up suite and it was unbelievable. We stayed in room 4108 and I do believe it was the best location in the Zilara Resort. We had direct sunlight from 6:30 am to 1:00 pm. So if you are a sun worshiper then this is the room to get. The room was also incredibly beautiful, cozy, clean and spacious. The fitness centers and programs we would classify as state of the art. Did a few spin classes too and the instructors were entertaining and classy. Great workouts!! We would say that the night life was a bit low key. Not a lot of entertainment but that's okay if you like a more quiet environment in the evenings. Pools were incredible so they did make up for the less then appealing beach experience. If you have a preference for a beach over a pool then this might not be the right place for you. The beach itself was stunning, but the bottom of the swimming areas were very rocky and unless you have water shoes, you risk getting nasty cuts on your feet. There was also a considerable amount of seaweed washing up into the swimming area. So not a great beach experience. Aside from that, this was an amazing resort. Very clean, good music, good eats, very kind and professional staff. If the beach was nicer I might consider a second visit. Price point.....a bit on the expensive side but worth doing once. We booked this vacation almost a year in advance. Not a reflection of the resort but when we originally booked our vacation package with Trip Central, it was based on the flight times (arriving mid-morning and departing mid morning). Shortly after booking, our flights were changed by exactly 12 hours later in the day on both sides of our vacation (the maximum time change an airline is permitted to make apparently). As a result, we lost a full day at a very expensive resort and in addition, ended up having to pay for an extra day (at $30 US per hour) as our check out time was 6 hours before our departure for the airport. When we called to inquire and express our disappointment in losing a day on the resort, we basically got the run around and told there was nothing they could do for us, unless we wanted to change airlines, which meant dishing out yet another $1000 plus for another airline. Overall we did love the vacation but there were some issues along the way that were frustrating and disappointing and will need to consider for future travel.

Our consultant Debbie Maguire recommended this resort as our first time Jamaica, from the time we arrived at the hotel the service and atmosphere was great, rooms were clean and updated. Pool and beach areas were great, never crowded and always clean, the bar/drink service was very professional and always happy to help! Shout out to Kenroy at the bar and Anthony on the grill. Restaurants were very good, my favorites were the French and the Jerk Chicken shack by the beach. Don't miss the foam party and tug of war... lots of laughs! Omar the GM was very helpful and around every day .. Weather was 29 every day which made it a great time all around

Our planner, Kino Ray Cummings was very helpful. He made our vacation a dream come true. He planned everything the way we wanted it. He is very polite too. The Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall Hotel is one of the best hotels we have visited. The hotel has a beautiful land scape. The room is spacious clean and has a big comfortable bed. They have nice restaurants with great food in abundance. The swimming pools are beautifully designed for both adults and children. All the staff we met were pleasant and respectful such as Andrew at choices, Rodney the waiter at the poolside and Tafari the entertainer. Overall we had a great time and wonderful experience. Thanks for the great service we received during our stay. We will surely come back.

The Hyatt Zilara is the most amazing spot I have ever been to. Friendly staff and the groundskeeping was perfect. Such a beautiful spot with gorgeous views. Everything was kept neat and in top shape. Our air conditioner was leaking for a couple nights and we told them about it 3 times but it never got fixed. Other then that we had an amazing stay and would go back as soon as we could with another couple to be there with.

THE FOOOD!! Can we just start there? I gained 6lbs at this resort because all I did was sleep and eat and sleep and eat and it was marvelous! The Italian and Asian restaurants were my favourite. We made a point to try every restaurant and snack shack during our 7 day stay and everything was delicious including the Nacho Bar and Jerk Chicken Pizza! The Junior Suite was lovely and the big soaker tub was just what the doctor ordered. There were 3 options for beaches, 2 of the 3 were very rocky but the 3rd was absolutely picture perfect. (its the one shared with the family side of the resort so there are kids at this one). The staff was very attentive, helpful and polite and it was a nice quick trip from the airport to the resort. The shows in the evenings were ok, nothing spectacular but the ambiance was so lovely just sitting out under the stars, it didn't really matter what music we were listening to or what performance we were watching that night. The only thing I really missed was any sort of night life. At other resorts I have seen Dance Halls and Discos that stay open until 2am but this place pretty much rolls up the sidewalks by 9pm. (could have been a slower season i suppose?) It's delightful if you are looking for a quiet getaway but probably not ideal if you want to get out and dance or party til the wee hours.

We stayed Aug 16-23 2017 for our Honeymoon. We stayed in building 4 on the ground floor 'swim up room' - BEST decision we made. I've never stayed in a room like this, it was so nice and with your own semi-private pool that attaches to the main upper pool. Staff was more than accommodating and friendly. Food was top notch, I loved the focus on restaurants as opposed to buffets... I find buffets are just a giant feeding zone for mass amounts of people. Rather you can go to a restaurant, sit down and look at a menu with select options depending on the restaurant you go to. I don't have a bad thing to say about any restaurant all the food was exceptional, never had the same thing twice. We ordered room service a lot (it was our honeymoon) and again the food was good, service was amazing. The shows were okay....still entertaining but I have seen better. The resort is two sections, adult only where we stayed and a family side. You do have to go to the family side for a lot of the restaurants and for a calmer beach but it wasn't THAT big of a deal but if you want ONLY ADULTS everywhere ... might not be the resort for you. Loved the beach, we had some days with higher winds but the waves were fun to ride in the ocean. Crowd, we noticed mostly couples, newlyweds or parties. Lots of Birthday parties, these groups only stayed 4 days at most I felt. This was my first time to Jamaica but certainly not our last! Thanks for the best honeymoon we could have asked for Hyatt Zilara ! :)

Everything was perfect! The service was a highlight of this resort. Everyone is very happy and willing to help! We loved everything about this place. The separate area for Adults only was fantastic. Lots of choices and places to roam around!

I was so IMPRESSED with the Grand Accomodations; The Activities were fantastic, Yoga, Power boot camps , Reggae dancing, the Beach and pools were gorgeous, the drinks delicious, THE FOOD options were over the top amazing; I have already told my Mom about it; I will be going back for sure.. everything about this resort is fantastic! The staff are AMAZING and the place is so accomodating ; I felt like a princess the entire time there!

Everyone was just great the Room were Execellant as was the staff they could not do enough for you and the weather was beyond wonderfull I am so happy with this Hotel I have already booked for Christmas and New Years the Spa was great as was the food I have no complaints about this Resort at all

This hotel changed my entire perspective on all inclusive resorts. In the past I've had many poor experiences and prefer a higher end experience. The Hyatt all inclusive was wonderful. It had many restaurant options and the staff always went over and above to make sure we were happy. My wife has a gluten food allergy and they were very accommodating. I can't wait to go back!!

Beautiful and luxurious complex . Rooms are beautiful and provide all amenities needed and more. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Lots of choices of places to eat. All the entertainment is pretty good, would be a little bit better if they had dancing at the outside amphitheater for the adults. Most events are for the children. The Zilara does offer entertainment in their one restaurant in evening, too bad they don't open up the lobby every night for live entertainment for the adults. The only thing negative I would say is that the washrooms around the Zilara pool and in lobby area are not as luxurious as the Ziva. I would recommend that signs be put up in those areas explaining how the toilets work. As well they all do not hav a garbage can. The pools are beautiful, the beach is small but lovely. All chairs are comfortable for long days in the sun. I don't know if it's because we were there in January but the pool water is absolutely freezing. Hardly anyone swimming. Would definitely recommend and would go their again

My wife and I haven't been on a vacation in a long time. This place was amazing , the staff , the food were top notch. The rooms were very clean and awesome as well. The whole resort was very clean. We will definitely be going back there in the future. We are also recommending this resort to our nephew to get married there.

My husband and I had an awesome vacation in beautiful Montego Bay. The food was amazing, staff was incredible, and the resort was by far the best we have stayed at. Our room was a swimup king room and it was an excellent choice. Room service was extremely efficient and the rooms themselves were well maintained and very clean.

It is just the right size for walks to the restaurant and back to the pool and to your room the grounds are very nice there's not one restaurant that's bad even the jurk chicken on the beach we love the staff they make you feel like friends

We stayed in the Hyatt Zilara, the adults only section. Apparently, the building is newer than the Ziva and the rooms are modernized. The majority of the restaurants are in the Ziva section and another building called "The Rose Hall". It made for a pleasant walk in the evenings. The food was fabulous, especially the Brazilian Steakhouse, but all the a la cartes were great!. Lively bars! The grounds are lovely and well kept. The service staff were great! The resort does not advertise the two terrific golf courses: The White Witch and Cinnamon Hill, but does offer one free round of golf at your choice even though the green fees are well worth it for the quality of the courses and the outstanding scenery! The hotel should advertise this place as both a beach and golf destination. 15 min. from the airport was an additional plus! I'd definitely go back!

Overall the Zilara is great experience especially if you are looking to relax. The rooms are gorgeous and the service is excellant. The staff there are the best I've ever encountered. The free golf is a great treat. The 3 resturants that are for the Zilara only are very good but 3 isn't really enough. The other resturants are shared with the family focused Ziva and in those resturants the food is really suited to children and is quite disappointing. Oddly the drinks on the family side are better and the Zilara bartenders drinks are subpar. The entertainment is also geared to families. The pools on the Zilara side are great and the beach is good for sitting but not swimming. The Zilara ocean is filled with sharp rocks so it is better to walk to the Ziva side to swim. In summary I would say the Hyatt is really focused on the Ziva family side and the Zilara adult side needs some attention so that it meets the standards expected by those who stay at adult only resorts. That being said you will have a relaxing, quiet but lovely time.

Traveled to the Hyatt Zilara with another couple, we enjoyed our stay and had fun. Food was good, premium drinks were served when asked for on the Zilara side only. Rooms were nice and clean nothing over the top but comfortable. Some staff stood out more than others but for the most everyone was pleasant. Beach is very small with 2 man made wave breaks one side is very rocky while the other is clear of rocks but too small to enjoy daily walks on the beach. Went to several restaurants as well as the piano bar that lacked ambiance ...no music what so ever you could hear everyone else's conversations. Beach and pool activities were very poor with nothing organized other than the spin classes in the pool. Beach crew very lazy, did not affect our trip but did notice the lack of activities available which would not have worked if we had brought our family of adult children 20-30 year olds. Sports bar was great but not much else to do at night when there wasn't a beach party to dance at.

The service and friendliness of the staff was amazing. The resort was very well kept. If there is one thing that I would have liked, it would be a longer beach or the ability to walk along connecting beaches.

The staff, food & resort were perfection. I love the food, which can make or break a vacation. Many of the staff actually remembered me from 7 months earlier, which was a pleasant surprise. I recommend this to anyone that wants 5 star food & staff. In the 7 months I noticed more upgrades to the resort. Better all the time.

The resort is very relaxing an staff do everything to ensure your stay is worry free. All of our requests we accommodated without hesitation. Restaurant selection was good and menus had variety. The beach is a bit rocky but there is one area nice and sandy. Jerk chicken wings at the sport bar are fantastic.

The resort was beautiful! Room service was great.. nightly entertainment was also very good and food wasn't bad.. being a vegetarian is hard.. I would say there should be more options for people who are vegetarian but other then that everything else was great!

If your looking for a quiet relaxing place this is it. Amazing People! Great food drinks pools and rooms. The beach is nice! We had a great time. I would also recommend the bob marley excursion.something to see!

We absolutely loved our stay at the resort! We were greeted by friendly staff who wouldn't allow us to lift a finger the moment we arrived. Our room wasn't ready, so they recommended us a restaurant to dine at while we waited. The food was amazing! Every day we looked forward to trying out a new restaurant...and were never disappointed. The rooms were excellent - clean and modern, with tons of privacy but only a few steps or in our case, a quick swim to one of the pool areas, restaurants or lobby. We quickly learned that the bartenders do not skimp out on liquor! And are quick to take your order and make whatever you want! The pools were clean and though there was landscaping going on throughout the day, we were never bothered by it. The only downside was the ocean. There were lots of rocks and the water was very shallow, so it was hard to do any real swimming or wading in the water. We recommend swimming in the water infront of Ziva and doing any beach lounging on the Zilara side.

The resort was lovely and the staff amazing. Really enjoyed the facilities - the fitness staff were excellent and the food was great. Horizons staff were the only ones that seemed sort of slow and not so customer oriented but overall great place. Beach is okay but not a long one for walking.

Spent 7 days recently (Jan.30-Feb. 6) at the the Hyatt Zilara in Jamaica and I have no trouble giving this experience a very high overall rating! We were very pleased that we picked this resort. People and staff at Zilara were excellent. Our room was on the 3rd floor of the new Zilara building with an Ocean view. It was large with a great design and very modern features, lots of storage, etc. We were very comfortable. Overall I would say our experience at the Zilara were of the highest caliber we’ve ever enjoyed at an all-inclusive resort…. including compared to past stays at Sandals and several other 4 and 5 star resorts. Resturants choices and food are a high point! Lots to choose from and all were very good. We had no issues getting into the different spots. We spent almost all of our time on the Zilara side except for strolling over to enjoy some of the restaurants and evening shows on the Ziva side. The Ziva side was busier, …we preferred the more intimate, quieter Zilara side for sun and pool. The only negative I’d call out is the beach and ocean. It was more rocky and had more seaweed than I’d like… but I still went in for a roll in the waves every day. That said, the beach and ocean are still incredibly scenic as you look out on it from the resort grounds.
