This hotel is beautiful! The two things that stand out for me is the fact that it is right on the water ... you can snorkel right out your door and see beautiful fish only a few feet into the water and not all of the resorts are like that. Also, the staff are lovely ... warm smiles abound! The rooms are spacious and clean and their are 4 large pools to enjoy on the property. We were on the adult only side, but ventured over to the family side for some of our meals ... buffet is very good! This hotel is a little quieter than some of the larger resorts, but I would say that was okay as we enjoyed being away from the business of the larger resorts.

Splendid! Review of The Sian Ka'an at Grand Tulum We stayed a week in The Sian Ka’an Grand Tulum in November 2018. This was our 6th visit to this property. Restaurants: There are a few “a la carte”. We liked the best “Careyes” and “Cocoa”. The breakfasts and lunches (a la carte) were very good. Nelson and Teresa were outstanding. Buffet: The general buffet restaurant very good. Beach: Is absolutely great. Depending on the day there might be some seaweeds. Well it is a sea. The staff works hard trying to clean them. Bars: The Piano bar in the lobby has the best selection. There is a "Cigar" bar where all drinks cost. Service: The service is great. I cannot recall the names of all the committed individuals working there but I do specially remember Noeli at the “Café and Me”. Gratuities: We left a tip every time. No pressure to do so. Rooms: They have “Pool view”, “Ocean view” and “Suits” . We chose a Suit. Entertainment : Adequate considering the size of the property. Cleanness: Almost 100%. Unfortunately the glass doors (in spite of having handles) require constant attention from the staff. Transport: It is well over an hour from the Cancun airport. The buses are new and clean. This is the first time we went 6 times to the same resort. That speaks volumes.

The Sian Ka’an Grand Tulum is an absolutely stunning resort. The grounds are well manicured and it feels like you’re nestled in a forest of palm trees. The staff were accommodating and very polite. Views of the turquoise water are fantastic from the white sandy beach. Rooms are well set up and kept clean. Not a very large resort, and definitely a calm atmosphere. Only disappointment was the food unless it was seafood. There are a number of restaurants with decent menus, but only one was worth going to. Overall had a lovely time at this resort, just hope they can improve their food.

Nice grounds..pools lovely with lots of seating but not heated..resort kept very clean..all staff helpful and friendly but lack of enough staff.ie one bar tender for lobby bar and pool bar..up to 20min to get a drink Only some rooms renovated..not like brochure says(although clean ours looked like a 4 star cuban hotel)and only few oceanfront rooms..as many folks paid for those rooms and did not get them (staff told us this happens weekly)and many rooms have no balconys. You share buffet with other part of hotel so full of kids and always a line up to get into it. Adult beach is so small an area you sit on the family side..no place for morning coffee in lobby..again line up on family side for 30 min for a coffee...All restaurants were excellent and food was great in them all. For the extra price you pay for adult only..beware..you wont feel like it is one...

I just want to say that the The Sian Ka'an at Grand Tulum resort is a nice resort but it is far from an adults only. The only place for adults to eat without a reservation is the buffet on the family side. The adults only beach is a small roped off area of the main beach. we were charged for a bottle of wine by a restaurant that we didn't go to almost mist our shuttle because of this. my suggestion if you want to go to this resort go to the family side as it is cheaper and you get pretty much the same .
