Very clean great food and service.The staff were very efficient and always there to help with a smile. One of the most relaxing vacation I've had in awhile. The resort itself needs some tlc,but we had no issues with our room.

Magdalena is a good resort - food was excellent, staff is amazing. Only one pool open when we were there as only half of resort was open due to work being done. Also, no beach really on the side of resort that was open but the main pool is nice. All exteriors could use paint etc but rooms are clean. All-inclusive drink menu is different than non all-inclusive. That was quite annoying since only cheaper booze was allowed to us - even a simple champagne & OJ No entertainment but this we were aware of before going

Resort is beautiful, I loved that all rooms have an oceanview, the rooms and the facility overall is very clean, the service was very good, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I was a bit disappointed that the beach was not accessible as this is one of the highlights for me when a choose a vacation spot. The pool was a good substitute but could use a few more umbrellas, the pool service bar did not have a staff going around the pool. Food was well done very tasty but not enough variety. The resort does need a lot of TLC as it is an older resort.

The resort was great as well as all the staff that worked there. Rooms were great and we had a supper view of the ocean. Rooms were very well cleaned and grounds were very nice. Too bad for the sea weed at the resort but we did manage to walk the beach a few times. Food was excellent and lots to chose from. The resort was very quiet but that was nice too. It was missing entertainment during the day. Had some music a few times and someone came to play the steel drums and that was great. We will be back. Thanks

The Magdalena is a lovely place to relax. The resort is kept very clean and the staff are all very friendly and quick to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. The food was good. We especially enjoyed the outdoor restaurant by the beach/pool and also the daily omelet and pasta bar that was always part of the varied buffet. The a la carte was also a nice and tasty experience. Our room was well kept and the waterfront view was wonderful. We enjoyed part of our holiday on our balcony. Bicycles are available for use and we rode the golf course paths before or after golf hours.. The Resort is in the process of getting back to what it once was. Some of the property is a little tired and in need of attention which is slowly happening but there is so much else to enjoy that it did not hinder my holiday. One does not need to spend one's time looking at the tired spots when most of it is just fine. The pool is immaculately kept and it is right there on the waterfront as well. There are 2 smaller pools as well. The whole resort is along the waterfront. The seaweed is currently a large problem but a free 15 min daily shuttle gets you to the beautiful Caribbean Pigeon Point Beach where you pay 20TT entrance (maybe $3 US) and there are washrooms and shade. The shuttle goes at 9 or 11 AM and returns at 2 or 4 PM and they promise to get you back and they are prompt with their timing. I read that the all-inclusive is newer for them but I believe that is getting more familiar now and we had no problems.

Arrived to nice welcome at Magdelina Grand Resort. Room had small ocean view from a distance. Room was clean but very dated. Had no water until Tuesday and only barely warm until we left. No hot shower at all. No beach to speak of - covered in seaweed- 2-3 feet deep. Great breeze off the ocean, no bugs. Pool ok- not enough chairs or umbrellas. Food was good. Buffet different each day. A la carte and grill had same menu , could have used a few changes. Don’t think they were prepared for how much Canadians drink. Ran out of beer a number of times. Entertainment was good on weekends. Three girl singers, jazz band and steel band were great. Piano bar not operational. All staff very welcoming. The managers spoke to us each day and are trying to make a go of this place.A few issues need money. Water, electrical, painting , repairing, wifi. I believe since we left, the water issues are fixed and Vinod the GM has chairs and umbrellas on order. Vinod and Troy are very hands on and always available to talk to. The weather is perfect, the island and people are great. We used Pidgeon Point beach a number of times. The food plentiful, what else do you need? I would not discourage anyone from going.We are back here in the snow and wish we were back at Magdelina Grand Resort, Tobago.

The resort is nice, well maintain. The people is friendly and willing to help you. The food was excellent, good variety and great taste. Unfortunately the beach can't be used, lots of seaweed and not very accessible . During low tide is easy to walk and water is warmer on the east side, not sure if they could have a lifeguard in the area so you could jump in and out. The trip to Pigeon beach is nice but it will cost close to $ 50 us for two to pay for entrance ($3.50 us), beach chair ($5 us) and lunch and beer. Shouldn't that be cover by the all inclusive. Entertainment is very limited and bars are closed by 10:30pm, after that time is even hard to find staff . Refrigerator in the room was never fill with water bottle even when requested to the room service people. Tours..Sunday school...not worth it. No seats and show lasted 3 songs by the steel drums.. Island tour is expensive to get a ride in a bus get off a few times for 10 minutes to take pictures and a regular lunch. The request at booking time were not fulfill as we were assigned in 2 different areas of the resort and not close together as requested and one room was with a queen bed instead of 2 double beds. Staff was prompt to fulfill our request but still we expended some time to complete. Regards Roberto, Ignacio, Istvan.

Food was good if you want to wait a couple of hours. Hotel is lacking alot of important things. Service is a big issue! If they spend as much time serving us as they did recording room numbers and signatures service would improve greatly. Beach area is awful. The resort lacking lounges and umbrellas.

This was such a beautiful resort with great food at the buffet, many, many choices. The a la carte, Kalina, had amazing food as well as the Salaka grill and the pub, Robinson Crusoe. So many choices for a smaller resort. The room was a good size with a great view of the ocean seeing the sunrise each morning. The bathroom also was a good size with lots of counter space and magnifying mirror with light. This hotel was on a plantation with golf course surrounded by houses so there were many places to walk or ride bikes that were supplied by the hotel. All of the staff were so friendly and accommodating. We even had neighbours on the beach staying at one of the houses welcoming us to Tobago as well as the locals staying at the hotel on the weekends. We were there for 2 weeks and the only reason I would not recommend this place is the force of the wind everyday. We love sitting on the beach and it was difficult finding a place to sit without the fierce wind, even at the pools because they were right on the beach. We did get to walk the beach once or twice when the tide was low during the day. Most days the tide was high and bringing in a ton of vegetation that they couldn't possibly keep up with. If we did go back to Tobago we would definitely stay on the Caribbean side and not the Atlantic side. It was a very lovely resort and my husband and I loved everything about it except for the fierceness of the wind.
