Quaint place. Have been going there for over 10 years or so! It’s for people who like peaceful atmosphere, and are not there gorging and nonstop during! You meet like minded people and easily make friends. Staff is friendly.

I chose this resort because was renovated and only 128 rooms, thinking would be quiet. Far from that. Music was blasting all day and night, untill 11pm. On the beach, pool and snack bar. All rooms are facing inside courtyard, which is beautiful, so we couldn't switch rooms to escape LOUD music. So, we switch resorts, to Blau Varadero.Big thanks to Julie, Sunwing rep, who was very efficient.Beach chairs are 80%brocken, umbrellas in rough shape, (there is not palapas). Definitely not enough of those, even in low occupancy. Also , lobby couches need to be replaced and coffee machines. Food didn't look appetizing .Poor selection and bad quality. We didn't expect much, being in Cuba over 25 times, but it was disappointing.Stuff in hotel very good and friendly

I have no complaints. Everyone must remember this is Cuba, a Third World country. The beach is the best in the world: miles of beautiful sand and gentle turquoise coloured water. There were a couple of hot water interruptions. we had egg shortage at breakfast a few times. All of these things are minor compared to the total experience. The staff members are delightful; they really appreciate the tips and we tipped everyone, including groundskeepers. They do their best with the resources they are given. You must go there not expecting gourmet dining because you will always get satisfactory food. They grilled pork, chicken, and beef every lunch and dinner. The dessert table has ice cream 100 % of the noon and evening meals. The maid kept the room clean, the heat pump kept the room cool, we got 5 or 6 English TV channels, the toilet flushed properly, room safe worked with no problems, beds were very comfortable, pool was immaculate, grounds were manicured, we do not drink but there was lots to drink, excellent coffee available at the lobby bar 24/7. There were no beach vendors harassing the guests. They had free catamaran services . The Entertainment Team kept people occupied if that is what you like. This holiday was money well spent; if you want steak and lobster, go 5 Star; I am more than happy with 3.5 Star. My wife shares my views.Suggested gifts: hand lotion, baby oil,cooking oil, toiletries, just about anything.

A small quiet resort - which I loved. The beach was beautiful and clean and towels were plentiful. I hate to complain. It's Cuba and I've been there many times. However - 80% of the beach chairs were broken, the room needed updating and repair (rusty lamps, crumbling tiles, ) - we tried to change rooms but apparently the resort was full. It was not. Food was the worst I've ever experienced in Cuba. The hamburgers? looked like Alpo. Breakfast was the only decent meal. Definitely another resort next year.

Las Morlas was just the hotel for me. It is small with only three floors I think. It is not intimidating for me like those massive hotels with rooms and rooms and rooms. There is a long winding pool through most of the grounds with a pool bar. There are two main restaurants - one close to the lobby and the other one close to the beach. So either which way, you're covered. The staff get along like family. Most of them have worked in the hotel for eons and are friendly, and I would say quite a charming lot. I felt comfortable talking to any member of staff and they always were very helpful and friendly. The beach is out of this world with light, medium and dark blue colours. It is said to be the best beach in Cuba. I have to warn you though, if you're a swimmer like me, you have to work quite a ways out to get to the deep part. Every single night there's something to do in that the disco is always on. Being a lady with mucho años, I considered the disco no longer part of MY entertainment scene, so did not participate. But at least for a couple nights a week, there is something special like a Dance Show, Live Singing, Music by a Cuban band, etc . The view from my room was just splendiferous - there was a winding pool and pool bar, a bit of the grounds of the hotel & the charming colours of the hotel - peach walls and red tiled roof - that had that rural Latin American touch. Then there were some palm trees, further on more of the hotels structures and then finally if you are the exquisite Beach. Every morning it would do me great joy, for the first thing to open my curtains and get that view and the brilliant sunshine coming in. All in all, for me, I was quite contented and serene at Las Morlas Hotel, I would gladly recommend it to anyone I knew.

Most of the staff are lovely but don’t expect good food. The buffet was mediocre at best, and the la carte restaurant wasn’t much better. It was great having the lobby bar open 24 hrs/day though. The location is perfect, a short walk to the beautiful beach and an easy walk into town. We enjoyed our vacation because we made the best of it, but definitely would not stay here again.

This resort is on the smaller size but the people that work there are very friendly and helpful and the beach is the best I have ever seen. The water is so crystal clear, it's like swimming in a giant pool! The sand is soft and there is hardly any seaweed. Perfect place for couples who just want to relax by the water all day and enjoy a quiet drink at night.

Rooms are clean and comfortable the grounds are well kept food is good the staff are great friendly ,helpful they really make you feel at home we love this resort its not too big everything is in reasonable distance we have been there many tes and always look forward to going back ?

This was our seci d visit and we will go again. Hotel is within a walking distance from Varadero with all neccessities. We did not miss anything throughout our stay. Rooms are specious and nice. Aircinditioning is working properly. i loved the thick matrace and the large pillows. Hot water was always available. Cleaning team is invisible and perfect. Considering limitations Cuba is facing, food was very good.There was daily a choice between fish, cheaken beef or pork. A great suprise was white cheese oorions for breakfast - all fantastic. Italian cook always had great pasta or lasagna. we coild not resist and had it as warm apetizer daily. Entertainment is absolutly excellent. Starting with fantastic trainer Luigi, streching and aqua fitness are classis if world's quality! We pay a lot at home for such classes. There is always a nice game on the beach. Dancing classes near the beach will put you on a right track with basics of latin dances. Beach is spectacular. Water is so clean and so prestine that resort would have been good just for the access to that amazing beach and ocean. Everything else comes as a plus. Nautical team is excellent - sailing, kayak or pedalo were there. There is a walleyball on the beach as well. Evening show was different every night and very nice each time. Syncronized swiming show or Magition show or Hotel Dancing Team performance with acrobates as guests...Real nice program for such a small hotel. Real nice small resort with nice tourists from.Italy, Portugal, Spain and Germany. No garbage nor cigaret buds on the beach. We were five this time and all of us would comw again.

The hotel is a relaxing small hotel never a shortage of food its clean staff are helpful and friendly the beach is great it's home away from home for us we do plan on visiting again I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends

We have visited this hotel 18 times. From 2009- present We were concerned if Covid would have impacted, but we didn’t notice much difference. There was enough food, clean grounds, staff always pleasant with repeat and new customers. The difference was during lunch and dinner they serve you food, which I can understand why. If your concerned about food I guarantee you will find something to eat. Breakfast - fresh made eggs, omelette, crepe’s, pancakes. Then you will find different items to pick from. Lunch and dinner- pork, chicken, turkey, fish- we even had lobster one evening which was a surprise. Beans and rice always available. You will always have a fresh salad bar as well. It’s about 30 mins bus ride to airport and close to downtown if you wanted to visit.

J'ai adoré mon séjour à l'hôtel, Las Morlas. L'équipe était dévoués et souriant. À tous les soirs il y a eu des activités, mention spécial au spectacle de magique totalement fantastique. La chambre d'hôtel était propre, les matelas étaient neufs. Accès à un frigo et un coffre fort. Les femmes de ménages très bonne et discrète, aucune crainte à avoir. Les cocktails sont très bons, mais prendre note que les bouteilles sont dilués. Le buffet était acceptable, facile de manger, mais le pain reste secs. L'hôtel est bien situé sur le bord de la mer et à 15 minutes de marche de la ville. Une chose que je leur recommande, mettre des toilettes plus proche de la plage! Sinon ce fut une très belle expérience, nous avons aimés!

Warm staff, nice and family-style environment, food exceed our expectations especially when knowing that Cuba local people are suffering under insufficiency of food in their daily life. Rooms are a little bit old, but views are excellent!

This hotel is the perfect size for my wife and I, It consists of 143 rooms and 4 floors. The rooms and hotel areas are kept very clean and orderly. The assistant manager, Isabelita, is an amazing person. She is so friendly and always concerned about her guests and tending to their needs. She is always smiling and sets a great example for her hotel staff, which are also very friendly and helpful. The food is Cuban and Italian with a good plentiful variety and very delicious. The hotel is situated on the beautiful clean beach with a 10 minute walk to the town of Varadero. The animation staff can be found at the beach and the pool and are the friendliest people who are always up for fun. From the staff to the bar tenders to the maids, Isabelita has done a terrific job in making sure they are the best. Thank you to all at Los Morlas for an amazing vacation.

The stay was great staff was friendly and very helpful room was clean and spacious couldn't ask for a better time always felt safe we had no room safe but didn't worry about it we spent time on the beach every day it was very relaxing no need to hurry for anything if you were a bit late getting to the buffet no one tried to hurry you

Could have been a better choice of canadian food rooms were good staff were great could offer a package alcohol free they could offer more canadian channel's on the television along with the remotes for the TV

This is an older hotel and on the smaller side but it suited us. With all older hotels in Cuba they lack modern conveniences and are in need of updates. The grounds are well kept but the rooms and lobby are tired and need updating. If you can look past that, the staff are terrific and very friendly. The newer hotels are far nicer and the price reflects that. We have been to many hotels in Varadero and this one is rated correctly at 3.5 stars.

Ants in each room, cappuccinos are horrible, staff in lobby and bars are not friendly, most staff do not speak ANY English, entertainment is weak, tv’s and phones in most hotel do not work. Beach was best part of the whole stay! Couldn’t ask for more beautiful weather.

Overall food was ok but had chicken from restaurant that had gone bad that made me ill!! Food at beach restaurant is left out uncovered allowing birds to feast in it when unattended!! Would advise only eating from indoor buffet

Great Resort. I enjoyed it, a bit far to the beach though. The food can be improved...more choices could be given. The staff was kind, helpful and friendly. Very welcoming and caring. The only difficulty was the check in time was very late.

This was my 8th or 9th stay at Las Morlas. Those who like it, go back. I hadn't been back in 3.5 years, but upon my return, I was greeted like I had been there last week. The hotel has expanded to 2 properties, side-by-side, so we were given platinum bracelets to access both. (Meals at the primary property only). The rooms have been recently painted, and all new furniture. Clean & fresh. We were in Room 202 which is right above the disco (and nightly entertainment stage), so unless you are going to participate until 11pm, ask for a room further away. If you go to bed at 11 or after, it's a fabulous location, with a great view. There is major construction next door (MAJOR).. but we heard NOTHING! It's a busy construction site, but not a peep seeps through to Las Morlas. I think the noisy stuff has already happened. The staff, as always, were welcoming and a great deal of fun. A few of the regulars have moved over to the other property, but were easily found to say hello and catch up. On-site shops leave you wanting for nothing, at reasonable prices. Easy walk into town for a variety of shops. A lot of Italian influence now; downtown and at Plaza Americas (?)

This was my fourth stay at Las Morlas and it was even better this time than the last. Clean, great service and friendly staff. Very good food served in a casual atmosphere. Entertainment was good but could have more music and less Italian silly skits.

We just got back from Cuba and while the weather was not great, the rest of the vacation was terrific. This hotel is small and friendly with a predominately Italian clientele.The food was very good with lots of variety.The only minor downside was, the food was often cold despite being the first diners. Cappuccinos to die for :) The animation staff mingled with the guests which was a nice touch and we were able to spend a lot of time with Haylenis (Hayley) who entertained us as well as educated us about Cuba.She has a very big personality and was lots of fun. These people work hard, always smile and definitely aim to please. The hotel manager(Italian) dressed in regular clothing and mingled with the guests so was on top of deficiencies. There have been many upgrades since our last visit to this hotel some of which include new comfortable beds/bedspreads, air conditioning units and bar fridges.There is constant cleaning and painting/repair work which in no way interfered with the enjoyment. Being close to downtown we took the bus or a vintage car cab a few times and even walked when we were feeling energetic. Holiday folks tend to smoke more so if you are sensitive to that there is lots of space to avoid it.The dining room is non smoking. Tipping seemed sparse by comparison to our last visit. Seems the Italian folks are less inclined to say thanks for the service with a few pesos. Our dollar is week so we got 6 and change CUCS for $10 CDN. The most beautiful beaches anywhere!!

It has the potential to be an awesome place, it's smaller and easy to get around. It is a little dated and could use some paint and upkeep on the grounds. The food and menu choices need to be reviewed and changed a bit more often.

It was the fourth time we went to Las Morlas, once again we love it, the hotel is not fancy, clean, good food and super nice people, from the looby to the beach bar.We had a wonderful time. Regards. Luiz & Fernanda

This hotel was given great reviews and that is why we chose to go to this resort. I am sorry to say we did not think the service so great. It seemed they wanted a tip before they gave you good service instead of after.I have to say some were the exception and were very friendly but most were just there to do a job. We found that the entertainment was nor well advertised if you happened to stumble on it you got to see it . They could have had it posted for people to know what was going on and where it would be held , by the dinning room where all could see it. the only information broad was tucked away where very few people would ever find it ,and things that were supposed to happen at certain times were many times just forgotten about or late or did not take place at all. We were there for two weeks and were sorry we booked for two. This is at least 15 times we have made Cuba our destination and the only hotel we would not care to go back to. The food though plentiful was very much the same day after day, very bland, hamburgers under cooked, no dressing for salads only mayonaise sitting in the sun for hours. Pasta at night was the only thing that was hot and had very little flavor in the sauce,more like tomato soup.Desserts were the same everyday many cakes all burnt on the bottom and all tasted the same sweet but no flavor.There was two occasions where the food was different and much better variety and that was when the V.I .P`S were there. This hotel could do much better if they brought in a good chef and some one who could do desserts . And if they trained their staff to be more helpful they could be tipped more generously

We stayed at Las Morelas for a week.in February 2015. It was a great stay. The resort is small which we really liked. We have stayed at larger resorts that we found just to big. The food was really good. Lots of choices at the buffet. The grounds and pool of the hotel were kept clean. All the staff were friendly and very accommodating. The room was decent for Cuba standards. Nothing spectacular but always clean. Overall the hotel had a calm relaxed atmosphere. A good place for adults and families looking to unwind and not party all night. There are other hotels on the strip for that.

We just returned form a week in Varadero staying with my husband and two sisters at this time. The place was beautifully laid out, the staff were very pleasant and friendly. rooms were clean and well maintained Entertainment was ok . We had a great vacation

Anyone who has flown out of hamilton know its the only way to travel. Sunwing flight was very good. Las morlas is the resort i have been looking for years. Its smaller so not a lot of walking to get anywhere on the grounds. The staff are pleasant, friendly, helpful and they all speak English. The food was very good ,nice pool and pool bar,nice beach bar ,and pleasant grounds all around. I am a single traveller but it didnt feel like it for sure. If you are going down to party hard this place is probably not for you. It seems more for young families and people over 35 or so. I got back jan 14 and I amm going back feb 25..Under 1,100.00 you cant go wrong. They just finishing painting the place and it looks very nice. no one looks for tips but y deserve something from time to time. Try it I

We have been staying at this beautiful resort for 20 years and it keeps getting better. Both my wife and I are beach people until this year when out of necessity we had to stay around the pool. We learned how to adapt and had a great vacation. The staff as always were thoughtful and caring and gave much of themselves to make our holiday so special. We wanted to say thank you to all the staff and we started to list them but we were afraid of missing someone. They were all so great and everyone deserves to be recognized. So we are saying to everyone at Las Morlas "THANK YOU FOR OUR GREAT HOLIDAY". My birthday lasted for 5 days of celebration. WE also got to meet the Sales Manager (Jefe de Ventas), Jorge A. Perez of the Be Live Hotels in Cuba It is so nice to be treated so well. We will be returning in the spring and again next fall. When you find a place that makes you feel so welcome, you definitely want to go back.
