Grounds and rooms are clean. Food was decent however we were able to use Akumal and Tulum Bahai resorts aswell.which made the selections of food better throught the resorts. Pools we clean and warm. For some odd reason Saturday was mexican day and the resort was filled with mexicans but no other days on that week. Rooms are dated and needs updates, service is good however no poolside service and mixed drinks were hit or miss for quality. I would rate this place a solid 4 star.

Basically it’s a beautiful hotel nice ROOMS cleaning stuff. We’re very nice and awesome but they might as well not have a pool bar. The service was terrible. The bar closes at six. It only serves cocktails until 430 and then you have to go up Top even if you tip them, they look right past you and serve their friends or maybe it was just people that speak Spanish because they certainly overlooked the white people.This wasn’t once I was there for 10 days. It was every time. as far as the food goes it was okay they hardly ever serve bacon for breakfast very skimpy on that I don’t know that I would recommend this hotel.

Unfortunately we did not have a great time on his family vacation. We got to our room and I can’t say bad things about the room itself. It was odd to have 4 single beds for a family of 4 but that was the least of our worries. We stayed at the tulum resort in November and it was night and day better than the coba. We knew coba would be more budget version but we didn’t realize how much. First thing is the resort is much smaller as they took away some of the coba to make it the tequila adults only. Secondly - food was absolutely terrible. There was no pasta stations, everything was 90% of the time empty at the buttet (chicken, bacon, hashbrowns. Fruit etc) Everything else was meh in terms of food nothing special. My family had pizza a lot, as it was the best option. The pool bar had a very bad smell. Almost puke worthy. Found it hard to get a drink as there was only 1 bartender. Also you could only order tequila shots, nothing else at the pool bar. You had to pay to visit the other resorts $100-200 per person for the day. I could go on but that is the big pain points. Safe to say my family will not be returning to Bahía Príncipe explore coba.

I just returned from a three family trip with 5 adults and 5 “kids” ranging in age from 13 to 21. We were there from March 16-23 and here is my review. I will start with the bad and move to the good and luckily there are more positives than negatives to report . 1. Check-in. We arrived very late and there were a few families they knew were arriving at midnight and there was only one person at the desk and it was so slow - even without any unique requests it took hours and even though we had called, emailed, had our travel agent reach out regarding linking our reservations together our room was at the opposite end of the resort for our kids and the bed arrangements were all wrong. A bellman dropped everyone off in the rain at 2:00 am with no help to get into the rooms. The next day it took almost the whole day to get one room changed and it was incredibly frustrating. It was such a horrible start to our holiday but luckily service in all other aspects were great. They have to put more staff on at night when they expect a bus full of people to arrive with kids tired and needing to check in and sleep. 2. Food - the buffet had great service, lots of selection and the snack bar was great too when the buffet was closed. It was very hard to book à la cartes and impossible to link reservations across rooms for our family but the ones we did book were terrific. The signage at the buffet was always wrong and things are in weird locations and sometimes they would run out of items early but there was so much variety you could always have a great meal and the wait staff Thomas brought us trays of cappuccinos for breakfast with a huge welcoming smile - so nice! 3. Grounds and pools - Clean, lots of activities, well lit, interesting wildlife and I thought the size of the resort would be a problem but the trolleys run constantly and it’s actually easy and fun to use them to get around. It’s confusing to orient among the different resorts based on maps and not easy to understand what is and isn’t Coba but one adjusts! They kick everyone out of the pools at 6 sharp which might bother some people. I wonder if those hours are longer in the summer months when the sun goes down later. 4. Beach - I was so worried from the reviews that it was small and rocky or choked with seaweed and this was a pleasant surprise because the snorkeling off the beach was the best I have ever seen in Mexico. We could always find loungers and there was both towel and bar service at the beach and convenient bathrooms nearby. It might not have been as beautiful as some beaches in the area and you needed a trolley to get there but we loved it. Bring snorkel gear and water shoes and you will not believe your eyes! Schools of fish, coral, rays and gorgeous tropical fish - far better than excursions I have paid for in the past. We may return just for the snorkeling! 5. Entertainment was a bit quiet for our older kids but they loved it all the same and enjoyed paying 10$ extra to visit the nightclub next door at the adults only. There was certainly no need to upgrade to a better bracelet to access the other resorts in the complex. We didn’t have little ones but the ones we saw seemed so happy. Karaoke was fun and the kids liked the option to play pool and use the arcade (extra $ though) 6. Rooms smelled a bit musty when we arrived but we brought dryer sheets and misted them with essential oil and once the AC came on it was all fine. The rooms are dated but large and comfy and the hot water and shower pressure was great. I know some people found the beds too firm but not us and the wifi was strong and reliable so we could work a bit. 7. While normally I prefer a smaller beachfront resort this place was ideal for our huge group with different needs and I was pleasantly surprised once I was done dealing with the front desk! I hope this review is helpful and that you enjoy your time at Coba!

We loved our stay! Nice shallow pool and beach for the kids, variety of foods and shows, and we really enjoyed the kids' club. The lobby was breezy and clean, and lots of game options for the kids. We would come back!

Would not return & definitely not worth the long drive from the airport. After a full day of travelling the shuttle driver said “no sleeping in here. I’ve been working 24hrs” and proceeded to splash water in his eyes during the transfer. Be prepared to be whistled in the pool all day long just for simple water activities with the family. And the pool closes so you’re whistled out by 5:45/5:50. No staff going around the pool areas offering drinks. Pools were a good temperature though which was nice. No welcome drink upon arrival. Long check in process even with no lines. Terrible room cleaning. Some days they would come and give fresh towels other days they’d leave you with no toilet paper and no water. Called the desk for water refill and they said “sorry we have no water until morning” Buffet was terrible. Same stuff for breakfast lunch and dinner aside from the odd change up of bigger items like omelettes and chicken. Omelettes and Pizza was by far the best. The burgers were mystery meat. No poolside snack trucks only two buffets for day time snacks. Mimosas are premade for breakfast and taste like juice. If you want in an a la carte you have to book before you even arrive at the resort as people book days to months in advance. Their response “check each day after 4pm for cancellations.” The app rarely worked to let you book even if there was a cancellation. Forget having the staff do anything remotely customer service focused. Anytime you asked for anything “extra” it was met with a no mam or like you were asking for a huge favor. The requests? Clean towels for the pool (some days they had none first thing in the morning even), cherries for your drinks? Non existent! Couldn’t access the ocean staying at coba unless you ventured to one of the other resorts which was no quick venture. Minimal family activities. Kicked the youngest out of the teen club as soon as he stepped in and could not play with his brother because he was “too little” but other kids younger then him would be seen going in and out. So rather than enjoying the free activities there If you want to do any kind of family games you’re paying an arm and a leg to enjoy the arcade in the sports bar. Pool, air hockey, fooseball all costs money. Basketball outside the teens club was the highlight but be prepared for them to take the ball away when they close the club. Minimal entertainment. Fire show? They want you to pay to go see sunset fire show. A few shows in the theater or Karioke and music at night were the only things.

We chose Coba as a last minute trip unsure of what we would find based on some reviews, and we don't regret our decision for a second ! The hotel is large enough that even with many clients it never felt crowded. The lobby is huge with lots of table and chairs to have morning coffee or afternoon drinks. There is a coffee station where you can get your own or go to the bar and have cappuccinos, ice coffee etc. made for you. There are pastries located in the lobby, too, for a quick bite. The pool area is quite large with lots of chairs. I did find the "towel/chair games" were played but there are so many chairs that even when arriving at the pool at 11 am or later we always found a good location, right next to the pool, to sit for the day. There is a self-serve pop and beer area near the pool bar for a quick drink. The pool bar (swim up and walk-up side) serve up delicious drinks - the only issue we had there was the staff -- they were great, but there was only one bartender on each side, resulting in long waits sometimes. The main buffet was excellent - always lots of food, and variety. They had everything from the freshest, best donuts we have ever had, to eggs at least three ways (on top of the fresh omelette station), to fruits, meats, desserts, and even tacos and other 'daytime food'. For dinner there was a lot to choose from - pasta 3 ways, rice 2-3ways, green salad fixings, meats - cooked or cold cut style, Mexican fare, several salads (potato, bean etc.), fresh buns, shrimp, and even nutella/cheese/ham and cheese sandwiches - and desserts and fruit. For lunch we ate at the snack bar by the pool. They had lots to choose from too. Freshly made pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, nachos and cheese sauce, beans, fruit, ice cream cones and desserts. We ate at 3 a la cartes, Mikado, Nikkei Mashua and Hindu Restaurant Thali. The beef at the Mashua was so tender you could cut it with a fork. The service we had at all three was excellent, but the standout would be Christian at the Mashua. The food at Hindu Thali was about as good as I have had in Ottawa for Indian cuisine. Our room in block 20b was 'dated' but who cares, everything worked fine and was extremely well cleaned. We always had hot water, the fridge refilled, and fresh towels. The trolleys drive around all the time, there are 'bus stops' but they would also stop and let you hop on anywhere if there was room. The Sports Bar was fun at night -- there was always soccer, baseball, hockey, etc. on a tv somewhere in it. We watched a few NHL games there at night, and some of the Baseball Classic tournament. For those who don't drink alcohol there is a great little mocktail list (all of which were delicious) and 0.0 Heineken beer. They did run out of the 0.0 beer in the lobby and the sports bar (or never got a shipment that day?) and it was not offered in the buffet, snack bar, or 2 of the 3 a la cartes we ate at. Only the Mashua had it. As a non-drinker it was disappointing not to be able to enjoy a "beer" with my meals while my partner had wine/beer with his. All in all, I have to say we had a fabulous week at Coba. We thought of upgrading before we left but after a day there, we decided to save the money - we did not need anything more than Coba could offer.

We booked this resort because our dear friends have been to it 4 times and loved it!!! Wow, where to begin! We spent the first day of our stay trying to get there. Between long layovers and connecting flights and very rude people butting in line, we didn't get our room until 5:00 am the following morning.(we were the last ones to get checked in out of two bus-loads of guests) there were only two people on the front desk out of 5 or 6 stations. After the majority of the guests were done with check-in they would stay at the front desk and exchange money and hold up the line even longer with absolutely no consideration for the rest of us still in line, instead of getting their money the next day when there wasn't a long line-up. The food was quite disappointing. we were under the impression the food here in Mexico and especially this resort was phenomenal from reading other reviews. Most of the food at the buffet was COLD and tasteless. Most of the signs for what type of food dish it was were very seldom changed so you never really knew what was in that container. And again the rudeness of people butting in an already formed line was disgusting. The only food item we found that was actually good was the homemade pizzas which you had to stand there and hover until the cook put them on the counter before the vultures would again butt in line and take sometimes 5 or 6 slices of each pizza. My wife has shellfish allergies and was very worried of cross-contamination of the food because guests would go from one station to another using the same utensil to dish up their food. On a couple of occasions I took some sliced processed meat to make a sandwich and when I took one slice off the pile, what was underneath it was green. The beach for our resort was very short and rocky, not that it was the resorts fault. the water inside the roped-off area was only about thigh high and you weren't allowed to go outside the ropes. The pool was ok but again not very deep anywhere. I could stand on my knees and still had my head and neck out of water. The resort had postings all around the pool and even made announcements not to reserve lounge chairs at the pool but if you went to the pool after 9 am forget getting a chair. Towels on every single chair. After the first couple of days, we would skip breakfast and go to the pool just to get a couple of chairs in the shade. The swim-up bar a lot of missing tiles on the front face of the bar which made that area very sharp and rough. The worst part was the same people every day would line the bar and stay there for most of the day, so getting a drink was a challenge. There was two pools side by side, the pool without the swim-up bar was for recreation(tossing a ball or frisbee) The other pool was supposed to be a relaxing area to have a drink and relax. Several times I had to go to bar and get a new drink because a football or frisbee would knock the drink out of my hand or hit me in the head causing me to lose my drink. TO PARENTS WHOSE CHILDREN RAN RAMPANT: Your children are your reasonability, not the resorts. Our room was nice and comfortable, but seemed that unless we tipped the room maid more money than we normally tip, our room wouldn't get cleaned until around 4:00 pm. once we started tipping a lot more, our room was cleaned before 11:00 am. ???????? (hint: learn how to make art with the towels on the bed once in a while. It goes a long way with the guests) From my perspective this resort is grossly under-staffed and in need of some minor repairs. Also try to live up to your reputation for great food. I informed the resort that we were celebrating our 41st wedding anniversary and didn't even get a chocolate on our pillow. OH WELL. We will not return to this resort. Sorry!

Staff were great and food and general service was really good. As this was a family vacation with sons and grandsons, it was a fun time. Grandsons enjoyed the kids club.. Pool water and jacuzzi were so cold, we couldn't much take advantage of the water. Even the grandkids didn't seem thrilled with the water. The ocean-front beach was accessible by a 10-minute trolley ride and so inconvenient. I was a bit disappointed in the rooms and setup with getting from the villas to the resort amenities. Our rooms were really cold and even though we started out with 2 blankets, one disappeared - we don't like to complain!

The property is really nice. The staff are awesome and food was also good. The a la carte restaurants should get booked ahead of time (download the app) it’s not on the beach but just a short golf cart away. I stayed at COBA side and there is only 1 bar at the beach that we were able to order from - silly if you ask me. Giving 4 stars because there is always room for improvement

The hotel is a little dated but is generally in good condition. The buffet was reasonable but light on bacon, and they always had some stuff to make tacos, but never all in one place. The kids program was great. The beach access wasn't that good because we couldn't eat at the Akumal beach area so we couldn't stay there all day and the beach sand was a little rough. I was told that I had access from Coba to the Tequila restaurants, but we weren't able to access them. The cost to add a person mid booking was astronomical, so we paid for an extra room.

Great resort, landscaping and staff. After staying here at the Grand Coba at least 5 times over the last 20 years, the food quality has diminished with several food stations empty and the same food selections daily. Al Le carte restaurants are near impossible to book as members of the more expensive resorts on the property are allowed advanced bookings prior to arrival. We were only able to book 2 out of the less popular al le cartes out of 4 on our 10 day holiday visit. That said we still enjoyed the resort and staff during our stay.

The grounds at this resort were well maintained the staff were very busy and friendlly we ate at the Japanese ala carte and the food was very good the buffet food was okay good as can be at any resort we were not allowed to go to any of the other resorts to enjoy their amenities unless we paid twenty dollars a day at other resorts in the area we could enjoy their amenities for free this resort only had one big pool years ago you could swim in any of the other pools at the other resorts on this property we were disapointed with the beach area the beach area assigned to Coba was kind of small with over crowded beach chairs our room was okay but the bathroom needs to be refurbished low water pressure in the sink and shower when taking a shower, the water goes everywhere as the shower doors are not long enough to hold back the shower spray the floor mat gets very wet and water gets on the floor all round the shower

I have stayed at Bahia resorts maybe six times. I was very disappointed this time, the television was not working, no fan, noisy etc. The people were very nice. I don't know why has the quality dropped.

This was my bday trip. Moving forward I will only book with trip central! No complaints at all. The food was the only thing questionable but you can buy local restaurants and they are amazing. Overall best bday ever

We had a great time with our family at this resort. The food was great, along with the activities and the entertainment. Everyone from my one year old up to my grandmother had a great time. They had something for all ages. I would definitely recommend this Resort!

We enjoyed the resort itself-the pools, waterpark. But the beach was far away. In order to have access to other resorts and use their bars, pools, waterparks and restaurants, we had to pay extra. We enjoyed the grounds. Staff were not helpful. Lots of confusion. Sometimes we had to ask several times, if you tip, you get better service. Guest services were often not available. We got more information from other people. Even though we loved the food, the entertainment, the animals-I would not go there again due to poor service and attitude.

Before leaving for the trip we were a little concerned by some of the negative reviews we read, however we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were a little dated and could use some fixing up but the entertainment and food made up for it. The fact that it was not on the beach was irrelevant as the shuttles made it very easy to get there and we never had trouble finding chairs, the line for the bar was always long so we just brought drinks with us. The New Years dinner and party was beyond our expectations! The resort is very clean, the grounds are absolutely beautiful and the people who work there are so happy, friendly and so helpful. After touring the entire complex of resorts we will definitely be back to try out either the Tequila or the Tulum resorts for no other reason then the Coba is geared to families and small kids which we do not have.

The grounds were always clean. Very nice resort! Rooms were big and very comfortable. Concierge were there if you needed anything extra. Maids were super sweet and appreciative. Pools were great! Always found seats. Beach was nice, but I recommend water shoes for the water. Staff were very friendly! Service at buffet was slow for me and my son but everything else was great. Lots of walking since the grounds are huge. My son absolutely loved the arcades and pool tables. The food was good at buffet and amazing the Diner a la carte. Our best experiences in the South as a family! I would return in a heartbeat!

The rooms and resort features met all expectations. We did have a problem using the app to check in early and as a result were not able to advance book any a la carte. When we arrived there were not a lot of a la carte openings available.

This hotel is located on the same grounds as grand Tulum and Akumel Bajia If you want to make the vacation totally satisfying you can purshase a pass for the other 2 resorts at 20$ a day . Now you can use there beaches and beach bars and buffet’s. Just include this over the cost of Coba and you will have a inexpensive holiday for a week Rooms at Coba were clean , big and up to date . No servers around the pool at Coba , use your pass and enjoys full service at the other two resorts which arnt far at all. Lots of trams running all day long.. If you really want to be spoiled purchase the privilege’s package and enjoy.

The staff are helpful, friendly and attentive. We like the decor of the rooms, although dated. The buffet is amazing! Lots of variety. Something for every appetite. We really enjoy Le Gourmet, they serve a delicious beef tenderloin.

This hotel was incredible! we had the best time every day. The staff was absolutely amazing, the food was great and the grounds were clean . We loved swimming in the pools and the trollys to get around the resort were so appreciated

This is my fourth or fifth time coming to this resort, and I have nothing but amazing things to say about it. From the rooms to the actual hotel itself, is amazing. All of the staff were super friendly and very helpful, Including staff in the background. such as groundskeepers and maids, Every morning they’d say good morning or hello, even if they were in the middle of something. The rooms and hotel area were always kept in immaculate condition, Never dirty always clean! If it rained waiters and waitresses were out wiping down all the chairs and tables so that you could sit down outside. Tables in the buffet were always clean and staff were very attentive. Both check-in and checkout were super easy, no fuss no muss and we were able to get settled in our room within half an hour of being at the resort. The pool area was always clean and well supervised, the entertainment Staff were amazing. This resort has so many things for you to do with your family or as a solo person. Whether it be around the pool or in the theater, if you have kids, they will never get bored. I have nothing but amazing things to say and I recommend this resort 100%.

Check in - easy and great staff Food - variety/selection for both kids, adults and picky eaters. You have the buffet and the snack bar by the pool is great also. A la carte's were delicious. Room - very clean, everything you need inside, and I loved the blackout curtains! Kids club - fun nighttime activities; daytime activities were repetitive but my daughter (7.5) enjoyed the pool time activity and rehearsal time in the afternoon for the nighttime production. Note: there is a kids pool area with water slides. Pool - clean and various depths so good for all ages. Bar - multiple throughout the hotel and staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Beach - fun to watch the fish (don't need goggles but great if you have them). It is shallow and doesn't go out far as it is roped off. We stayed at Coba and was about a 5 minute golf cart ride (came frequently). There is a bar at the beach and chairs but no food (that didn't bother us). Waters were a mix of murky and clear. Nighttime - they usually have live music (would be great to see more of a variety or more of an interactive show/dance time) Overall we had a good time.

Good food and entertainment, very good for kids but service can be a little better. Right from check in to cleaning service the service is fair, not outstanding I would say. But overall satisfied with their service.

The resort was really nice. Very clean and well maintained. The food was good and the staff were very friendly. We went at the end of June though and the beach wasn’t very nice. It might just have been the season.

The resort itself was very nice, however due to the unfortunate event with the fire prior to our arrival, it was quite disorganized. We understand the difficulties they were dealing with, but prior to our arrival we were promised full access to Akumal and Tulum resorts as compensation for the facilities that weren't available to us at Coba. However, upon arrival we were informed that they were no longer giving Coba guests full access bracelets due to the main buffet being functional.The buffet food was very good, but that left us with the option of only having 1-2 A La carte restaurants, which were all completely booked up. We were also not informed of the App that we were supposed to use to book reservations and see the daily events. The room at the resort was very nice, very spacious and the king size bed was nice to have. Housekeeping was good (after we were able to discover that we needed to request through the app). The evening shows at Coba were very well done. We wish we would have known about the hacienda having events (live music, shows) earlier in our stay, but overall very enjoyable entertainment. At the resorts current state, unfortunately I would not recommend it to a friend. There is no appropriate compensation for the Coba guests to really feel you are getting what you paid for. Along with the fire renovations, they are doing extensive renos to villas in the resort, thus making it a loud and busy atmosphere (we understand it has to be done but we feel we should not have to pay full price). We still enjoyed our trip, there was just a few frustrations.

Beautiful place, well kept grounds, clean and comfortable rooms, food outstanding, friendly hotel staff, pool was fun, lobby bar outstanding, well made drinks everywhere. Beach a bit of a trek but non stop shuttle aka fun little trolleys take you so no problem and was fun getting there as you got a tour of the other resorts associated with this one. Beach busy and had to arrive early for a nicely situated chair but oh well no big deal. Beach a bit rocky but not a deal breaker. Resort is family orientated and great for families. Would return in a heartbeat. Good value. The only complaint is the distance from the airport which is 90 km away

it's great. recommendation about the Akumal beach. they should have it opened to all guest for food as well. I just wish that the line for food and drinks should be regulated because people just go butt in line

Although we enjoyed our stay overall, this is at best a "budget" resort. Our room was dated and appeared heavily used, the tv was maybe 13", the beds are stiff and only a "double" so a couple would be hard to fit comfortably, and there was only (1)one plug available in the main room and (1)one in the bathroom, which was not convenient when trying to charge your devices .I believe they renovating this particular resort shortly, which is heavily needed. The buffet was fine, there was no specialty coffee shops, but the lobby did provide (3)three coffee machines that provided a variety. The beach seemed to have been eroded by the storms over the years as it was a lot narrower then we remember, coupled with extensive seaweed, but the team and the hotel were doing their best to clean it up quickly. I would not recommend nor stay here again unfortunately,

We stayed at Coba from Apr 10 to 17, 2025. The food was excellent. As for the beach you have to take a trolly to go over. The beach is small and has seaweed but its still nice. The a la carte restaurants we had Le Gourmet, The Brazilian and Don Pablo they were all very good but Le Gourmet was my personal favorite I would return to this resort again

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Bahia Coba. Lots of activities, food was good, staff was very friendly. It is more of a family resort. Lots of kids with a fun waterpark. The shows were great. I think they could use a little bit more entertainment in the evening after the shows. Maybe the sports bar could have music/a band for later night dancing/socializing other than that a great place to stay. Ps… it is a long drive from Cancun airport (1.5 hr) but once there other areas are close (ie.. Akumal/Tulum)

The hotel grounds were immaculate, always kept very clean and very beautiful. The dining area was easily some of the best we've ever seen and the selection of food and quality food was a 10 out of 10. The only thing better than all of this was the customer service we received from all the employees thatwere always so friendly and eager to help with anything we needed

The staff are by far the best thing about the resort. We had a few hiccups with our room (12) being very far away with no trolleys going by, air conditioning didn’t work, and no wifi. (The router was not working in that room) That whole area was not clean at all (animal poop all over the walkways) in comparison to the other areas which were impeccable! The next day they moved us closer and on ground level. There was no king bed available but made the two double beds into one big bed! Once we were moved and all settled it was much better. The beach this year was clean and wonderful. A few rocks but we personally did not need water shoes. Food was good at the buffet, tons to choose from. Only had one à la carte as they were all booked. The second à la carte we cancelled as it was booked late on the night before we were leaving. So I thought I’d give it to someone else to enjoy! It’s a huge resort, if you like walking there’ll be tons of that! The trolleys were hard to get except up at the lobby.They were getting ready for renovations and I’m anxious to see what it’ll be like. Oh and the hacienda was amazing for shopping! Lastly, we landed in Tulum airport! It was fast and easy to navigate.

This was our second time in Coba. The last time was sixteen years ago although we have stayed in the Akumal and Tulum sections more recently. Although dated the regular rooms at the Coba are the nicest of the sections we have stayed. Very spacious and the washrooms are really nice with Jacuzzi tubs and everything. The food at the buffet was quite good and there was a lot of choices so you could always find something to eat. The al a carte restaurants were excellent especially The Gourmet. The staff were of course excellent as they have been every where that we have stayed at the Bahia Principe property. The only thing that we found irksome was that there were no food options at the Coba beach as the blue banders were not allowed at the Akumal or Tulum restaurants or the food truck at Tulum. I know this has been mentioned by others but it would have been nice to have a food kiosk or something at the beach so that we didn't have to trek back to the buffet to eat during our day at the beach. All in all a great vacation and another note that the evening atmosphere around the Coba lobby bar is by far the best of the three sections we have stayed in. Keep up the good work.

Overall quite satisfied with the stay. The resort is big but there are trolleys that follow a bus route to help you get around. The entertainment is frequent and nice. The only complaint is that walk/ride to the beach goes through an area that often smells bad (maybe the waste treatment place for the hotel?). Our room also had weird vibes and I had nightmares every night but otherwise the resort was good

The beach extremely far and full of seaweed. It’s really far from the airport so get ready for 2 hour drive. The food was good but you can book only 3 restaurants per a week stay and it’s very hard to book. The entertainment team was great in the pool and there is lots of shows in the evening. This hotel is really nice if you have kids with you as they for sure will find friends to play with. It’s a 3.5 star resort as it’s not that expensive it’s worth the price

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay at Bahía Principe Grand Coba. The staff handled our problems with broken fridge promptly. The central buffet was wonderful. We travelled to other Bahía Principe Akumul and Tulum which were close by. The small golf style buses made getting around the expansive properties easy. We did however encounter some challenges getting our transfer transportation to the resort on arrival. We recommend you look for Nexus personnel in orange when you arrive and tell them where you are going. They will take you to the correct area to wait for your bus. tripcentral.ca were very easy to interact with and provided tour information prior to our departure.

My wife and I took our kids (girl 8; boy 5) for a 7-day vacation to the Bahia Principe Grand Coba. In short, it was amazing. We loved our trip. - Food was great. We also really liked the Japanese Tepyniaki and the Indian restaurant. - Pools are huge with tons of chairs and huts (you can show up at 10am and still have shaded huts, or show up anytime and have a lounge chair but in the sun). Kids also loved the waterpark. - Beach was really cool and clean. Tons of fish swimming at your feet and not too rocky compared to other Mayan Riviera resorts. - Service was excellent. - Room was very clean. - tons of wildlife which is always fun. Lots of iguanas and coaties. - Finally, the greatest thing was the Kids Club. The staff there are amazing. Kids were always looking forward to it and didn't want to leave. They rehearse during the day and put on plays in front of parents at night and its wonderful. kids did Moana, Frozen, and a talent show. A big thank you to Yuli, Ami, and Karla! Only con is the distance from the Cancun airport. About an hour and a half depending on traffic. But its well worth it for this resort. We will likely go again next year.

Hotel was safe enjoyable clean well staffed. Travelled on my own and felt comfortable. The gym is great. Food was super tasty and lots of variety. Staff are welcoming helpful and many staff makes for great service. The beach is nice. Wish could use the space with Akumal but did find a lounge chair every day. Space to have quiet beach time and there’s space where children were playing. Beach was clean and bar staff prompt service. The shuttle to the beach was easy to catch. The pool without the children’s water park was peaceful. Wish they had live music every night that would help make the evenings/night time more fun.

I really appreciate 'tripcentral'. It was easy to select a trip and hotel because of how they lay out their data. I'll never use another site. We were also assigned an agent Jim O'Neill that we personally worked with. He was fantastic and guided us every step of the way and also provided us additional information. Hotel was the best experience I ever had. The food was incredible and everything else!

The hotel is about 50 mins to 1hr 10mins from Tulum Airport. We stayed at bldg 24A and were close to lobby, a la carte and buffet restaurants. Secondary pool, no entertainment, was right beside us which we liked as quiet and relaxing and lots of chairs to choose from around the pool. The beach is a 10-15mins walk or a short golf cart ride away. Look for the white/blue chairs on beach beside the small dock. Sea floor is mostly rocky so bring watershoes, but sand on the right side of dock if looking toward ocean by the white/grey beach chairs. Food was great for us, but everyone has different tastes. We did the Mashua Nikkei, Le Gourmet and Mikado a la carte and they were all delicious in my opinion. Manuel at the teppanyaki show was great! Will definitely look to staying here again of visiting Mexico in future.

This resort is beautiful maintained landscape. The pool is very clean and the staff are always there to make sure no glasses or garbage are laying around. There are always many available chairs around the pool which provide sun or shade. The only complaint that I have is that it is quite a walk to the beach. If you have small children or mobility issues you must take the trolley. If you are looking for a wide sandy beach this is not the place for you. Once in the water you better have water shoes. It is rocky and uneven. Since it is almost always rough, you cannot see the bottom to look where you are stepping.

Staff is professional, food is top notch at buffet as well as at the a-la-carte restaurants. Grounds are well maintained and rooms are in good condition. Pools are clean and lots of sunchairs available. Beach is a little far away but the trolley service is very good. We knew this ahead of time as there is another resort (Akumal) between Coba and the beach.

This is my second time to the mayan riviera but the first time at the bahai principe coba. I found everything at this resort to be top notch from the moment I checked in. The courtesy from the resort staff added to the experience and the resort itself made my week-long stay that much more enjoyable. I would definitely return in the future. Thank you again for a wonderful time.

We had a great one-week trip. Overall, I think it was the best value all-inclusive we’ve done to date. Hotel staff was excellent! And the hotel was clean and well taken care of. Lots of great food options. The only downside was the beach was quite a distance. The beach was great and the snorkeling was great right off the beach. Lots of wildlife! Recommend downloading the app for the hotel in advance.

Other than the musty smell in the room,looking forward to another stay in the near future. The staff all around are an amazing group and enjoyed the interaction. Cleaning staff a room cleaners did an amazing job and the restaurant/bartending personal ALL were fantastic.

The resort was decent, didn’t have access to the beach which was inconvenient! Also the food was not very vegetarian option friendly which was a down size because 3/4 of us were vegetarian. The entertainment was great, the overall experience was good but I wish there was more for the food options and direct access to the beach!

We were there during the recent hurricane and the hotel did an amazing job both in preparations for it and the clean up afterward. Did feel there could have been a bit better communication after it. There is definitely some repairs needed throughout the resort but it was clean and you could tell they were trying. Did have an issue with ordering Gluten free pancakes but they were very good with tell me what was gf.

From beginning to end Liz Simunic ensured our experience with Air Transat and our resort was phenomenal. I highly recommend booking with her. I’ve always gone with Sun Wing but was tired of the constant delays, flight issues, and their lack of care for clients (their booking team is great, but once you book nothing is set in stone). Liz Simunic set up everything including adding a note to our room. We never had to mention anything and they had prepared an additional daybed setup thanks to her notes!?? We mistakenly booked at one of the hottest times of the year and the phenomenal staff really made sure everyone was catered to. Continuous shuttles, lots of cool crisp water, clean grounds, delicious food. Entertainment staff were also incredible, fun pool exercises, dances, water polo in other pools, oh my goodness. We had a blast. Incredible bar staff. Despite how BUSY it truly was they did a phenomenal job with a smile on their face. We did the Xplor excursion which I would highly recommend if you do not struggle with walking, and haven’t had a recent surgery. It was BEAUTIFUL. The cenoté was breathtaking and it was nice to do an excursion with so many options to choose from. I did Xel Hao a decade ago and that was also a ton of fun. I’m a beach bum and personally I prefer Cuban beaches. Just bring your water shoes or you may cut your toe open! But the beach is beautiful. Thank you Liz and Air Transat team. We travelled with friends who went the Air Canada route and their flight apparently was quite cramped and uncomfortable. This hotel is HUGE. If you hate walking, lots of families, etc this can still be for you if you take their shuttles. You can also order them from your room. However, they have other Bahía Chains around that are smaller and just as gorgeous. Visit the hacienda for shopping at day and dancing at night with a wonderful dj. Hacienda is a shuttle golf cart away. No more than 5 mins. It’s complimentary of the resort. Tonnes to do on and off the resort. Hacienda and resort shopping are overpriced and for this reason I didn’t buy and trinkets to take back but to be honest it wasn’t an issue. The Mexican Airport had a fabulous array of very inexpensive bottles of fabulous tequilas. The employees were so educated in each one. They had bottles there that they only craft and sell in Mexico, can’t get ‘em anywhere else. I wouldn’t come here again (I never visit a resort twice though) but I’d recommend it.

Rooms are okay , little old , workers in buffet are nicer and the restaurant are nice as well , pool is clean , late entertainment could be better , kids club is amazing, great for kids, foods great but some day is the same food repeat.

The resort was beautiful, drinks were good, staff was good. Unfortunately it was extremely hot and the pools were warm as well as ocean. So getting relief from heat was not easy to find. Rooms Temps were set no lower then 25 for mold issues understandable. Food and drinks were great. Resort is some what of a maze and confusing to find rooms further out. So if you don't like walking alot there is little carts coming through regularly at covered bus stops. Good for touring In amd getting you to the beach too. Great nightly shows and events too.

My stay on Bahia Principe Grand Coba was wonderful , the rooms were clean and spacious really nice, the grounds are well kept and clean the food was great there were lots of options for those on a vegetarian diet and non vegetarian diet the beach was good I highly recommend wearing a lake shoe to get into the water due to the rocks, once we got into the bathing area the water was excellent!

The hotel, food and staff are great! The grounds are beautiful and the beaches are maintained and security is present. Just watch out for the exchange rates in the jewelry store ( not managed by the hotel) as they quote you in US$ but charge you in Mexican pesos. This is fine but we got charged $100 US over what they quoted. Ask for the price in pesos and do your own conversion.

Lovely grounds and staff very friendly. This is the fourth time we stayed here and we notice that standards have lowered. Less staff? Rooms very comfortable and serviced well. Grounds crew kept everything neat and trim. However, Buffet dining showed less attention. Food not replenished in timely manner. Without fail, main courses, meats and vegetables were often down to last few servings and dried out. We still had a wonderful time and enjoyed the pools, grounds, and weather. Trams to transport us to rooms often left us waiting well over the 20 minutes promised.

We had a great trip. Great food, great rooms, great service. My only con would be whenever we needed the trams they were no where to be seen or going the wrong way. I knew the resort was big but was happy the trams were there. The other Bahias I’ve been to the trams seemed to be continuous. We had a great vacay and I would recommend just beware it is a very big resort. Also the beach was very rocky. I would wear water shoes. Pools were great and a few to choose from.

The hotel itself was beautiful. Staff were friendly. Rooms are outdated but still nice. Food was incredible. Be prepared for lots of walking. The resort is massive. If you are a beach person, this is not the resort for you. So rocky and not big at all. Good luck finding a chair also. The tram system is fine but not reliable.

My impression about this resort are as : - Ground was beautiful Buildings and rooms very clean Service workers everywhere very professional Food excellent, restorant very clean. All in all, very nice place to be as a four star resort priced well. Everything organised and managed properly.

We enjoyed 10 days in this resort. We have been here 4 times. The ambiance is nice and family oriented. The service was first class. Specially in the a la cart restaurants. They have professional waiters. The grounds are very clean and the gardens well tended. Our room was cleaned daily and left us fresh towels always. We participated in several activities, we played horse shoes the young man named Gerardo was very enthusiastic and very nice. My husband raced in a kayak in the pool, I did an aqua fit class and a Pilates class with Abigail. We were very grateful to Andres the Captain for his personalized service during our dinner. We love this place is good value for your money. We recommend it and we hope to return.

Bus ride from airport to resort is long but Beautifully kept resort. Food in restaurants were amazing. Will definitely return. Staff are so friendly and their English is good for the most part. I would definitely recommend this resort to others.

This hotel was well kept. The grounds were nicely manacured. The staff was always working on them. The dining room was very well run considering the amount of guests they had to accomodate.The dining room was closed at 3pm so that they could prepare the the dinner crowd. But there are 2 other places to eat lunch on the premises if you are on a different time table. The rooms are just as pictured. Clean and stocked with the necessities. Although Sometimes they forgot . So you just ask and you will receive. The entertainment was decent maybe 3 out of 5 stars. The trolly service was great ! We arrived quite late in the evening and to our dismay we were booked in the wrong type of room we booked 2 double beds and were assigned a King bed. So we had to take it for 2 nights and were moved to the right accomodation 2 days later. A matter of inconvience as we could not unpack our things. All went reasonably well after that until the day before we were to check out we went back to our room at the end of the day to find that they had changed our key and we were locked out. they had mistakenly checked us out of the room. Not really happy over that incident. It meant that I had to go back to the Lobby and wait in line for more than 15 minutes in the heat where they said sorry about that we will program new keys for you. All that said overall they were very accomodating in the end. Great place for families, I wouldnt say couples who want quiet and relaxation would be comfortable at the Coba. But the Akumel or Tulum may be a better fit.

The resort itself was clean, lifeguards at every pool, beach and kids play area, Entertainment employees were great. The rooms were large and clean. Previous reviews mentioned dated resort, yes but hardly noticed. Hard to get into speciality restaurants, group of 7 could not. Had to get up early to get pool chairs, there were no lounge chairs after 9:00 am. The resort was full. Lastly the food was never warm or hot, ever! Same food every breakfast, lunch and dinner at the buffet.

Very friendly staff. If resorts are your vibe this is definitely a great spot to bring your family. The food is decent as far as resorts go. Tons of activities and lots of great amenities. We had a great time!

It's a very clean resort. The grounds were well kept and maintained. The bathrooms and dining were very clean. We enjoyed all the facilities at the resort. The staff members were polite, pleasant, warm and very friendly. The staff members were very pleasant. The kids club was amazing and the entertainment team was amazing.

The staff at this resort are amazing. They are always smiling, friendly and will go the extra mile. The grounds are beautifully maintained and are constantly being worked on. The rooms are maybe a little dated, but spacious and clean. Beds are very comfortable. We will definitely be back

The Grand Coba in Mayan Riviera, Mexico was top notch! It met all our expectations when it comes to dining, pools, cleanliness, staff and more! The food was exceptional with all sorts of choices and something for everyone. The pools were big and clean and always had chairs available to lay on. The a la carte restaurants were delicious and so was the buffet! The only downfall is the beach is a 5 min ride on golf cart from the resort and it isn’t walking distance.

This resort was worth the long drive to/from the airport. The staff was friendly, the grounds were beautiful, and the rooms spacious. The pool had enough shaded areas for me, and lots of sun for my spouse. We enjoyed hanging out at the 'quiet' pool. The other pool had the activities for those who wanted to partake. It was also a convenient shuttle down to the Coba beach. On a 7 day stay, you could book 3 a-la-cart restaurants. We ended up just doing the buffet as it was convenient for us, and there was a wide arrange of food options.

Beautiful Resort. Everything was great. We loved the food, activities and entertainment. Kids Club was amazing. Lots of activities. They get kids involved in shows. The Teens Club was also great. Our whole family loved the resort. We celebrated our daughter's birthday... they made a cake and sang for her. The Restaurants were amazing. We enjoyed the service and the food. We will highly recommend this Resort. Michelle at the Front desk was very pleasant. The employees were all polite and courteous. Loved the friendly atmosphere.

In general it was a good stay - I could be convinced to go back to this hotel, but there are some problems that need to be addressed. The theme of this experience is friendly but ineffective. I'm expecting the hotel to just respond with. Thanks for leaving a comment but not actually doing anything to Make meaningful changes or effort to earn back our trust. Rooms I was put in one of the older rooms. It was much larger than I had expected but also had some problems with it. My main issue was the air conditioning control which was an old analog one and had been set so that it couldn't be made colder than 25°. I come from Canada and was not able to sleep with it. So hot. Staff The staff were friendlier and more accommodating than I am used to in other hotels. I really felt that they were going out of their way to help make my holiday a good one. My issue with the staff was only that they tended to overserve alcohol and on more than one occasion I saw people having to be dragged unconscious from the swimming pool. There was no attempt to control people smoking which happen frequently in non-smoking areas, including snack bar despite signage. In three separate incidents things were stolen from my room, some toiletries, a hat stand and a small amount of money. The hotel did nothing to compensate me for this. Some friends also had toiletries stolen from their room with the same result. Food The food in the coba and Tulum resorts was average. I was surprised that the buffet was a little better than I am used to in hotels in this price range, and also surprised that the à la carte restaurants were a little less good. I. Particular Le gourmet stood out as being no better than the buffet, though the service and ambiance was excellent.

Food was great especially the fruit and the Tala Indian Restaurant. Great for families, always something to do! The insight shows were good also, coffee in the lobby was great. Some things overpriced though. $26 for a small ball to through in pool etc

We always have an excellent experience at the Bahia resorts. This one is great as there are so many different places to check out, including a few adults only spots. The food is incredible, including all of the a la cartes that we booked. You can't go wrong with the buffet though. The entire team is excellent, from the servers and cleaning staff, to the entertainment crews. We stayed for 10 days and we will very likely be returning for a longer trip next time.

The pools and atmosphere were incredible - the entertainment team truly makes your stay memorable. The beach was beautiful especially at sunrise and the pools were very well maintained. The bars were able to meet everyone's needs- although a little under staffed. Alacartes- We were not able to book our alacartes due to technical issues which when brought to the managers attention was dismissed Rooms- The rooms were clean- many little ants though Safety- We had two occurrences during our visit that would cause me to state to block your door at night -one 2 maintaince men entered our daughters room without knocking at 10:30 pm for a service that was not requested - when I brought this to the managers attention they did look into it thoroughly- and followed up with a call two days later. However the night after the call someone after 11 pm did try to attempt to enter this room again - It mkase you go hmmm

We had a great time. We have always done adult only ,but this resort was so big and the children were so well behaved. So much for the kids to do. Urban show is a must but get there early as seats fill fast.

Everything was good But resort is too big And it has too many stairs Everything is far far They had cart service but its not fun Some of the events were not mentioned on the app, we had to ask workers.

We enjoyed our stay and Bahia Principe Grand Coba. We were there for New Year's Eve and was impressed with the big party they prepared. We also liked the 3 story units with 8 rooms on our half of the building on our floor versus a big hotel experience. We were disappointed there was only one volleyball court that was shared amongst the 2 hotels. It would be ideal if a second volleyball court for children was added so people who know how to play volleyball could enjoy the game. The drive from the airport was longer than expected.

My boyfriend and I had a great time at Coba, however we had no idea how large the resort was. We had to change our room after the first day because we had a broken toilet, no hot water or pressure and we seemed quite far from the 2 main pools. The front desk had someone fix the toilet immediately and they moved us without any issues. We didn't love having to take the shuttle to the beach but it came regularly so it wasn't that big of a deal. The best thing about the resort was the food and drinks. We got lucky with good weather which made it even better.

We traveled to this resort at the end of January with my husband and 5 year old Daughter. This is an Excellent Family Resort and Excellent value for what you get! Yes the Rooms are out dated but they are spacious and Clean! There are areas within the resort that have been renovated. The one downside is that it is Not Beach front but we did know that when we booked but its not a far walk or Trolly ride! Excellent Food and service! We would return again but always like to try a place we have never been! We would recommend this resort!

It was our third time going there and would go again. The grounds were very well kept and clean, the workers were very friendly and enthusiastic. We enjoyed the beach and activities there like volleyball and aqua exercises. The pools were clean with lots of chairs. We had a great time with the entertainment team at the main pool. They were wonderful and made us feel like family and friends. Ronaldo, Carlos, Jonathan, Yodi, Ybram, Alex, (we forget some names). The buffet restaurant was delightful with great food choices and excellent service. Special thanks to Norma, Lucienda and the others working with them.

We enjoyed our stay at Bahia Principe Grand Coba. We had a lovely, large room and the cleaning service was very prompt. The grounds and pools were large and well maintained. The buffet was really good. The snack bar was open until 6 am which was great. The raccoons that frequented the snack bar were pretty bold but cleared off after being squirted by the waiters!! The Coatis were curious but mostly ignored us. The beach was clean and sandy, but not very big and pretty crowded. Walking into the water wasn't the best experience and there were a lot of sharp rocks. So sand shoes are a must. The staff was very friendly and polite and the night shows were entertaining. The drinks were really great too. We'll definitely go back. Thank you to all the staff.

Everything was amazing. It was our first time at an all-inclusive resort and it exceeded our expectations. The staff were amazing and the activities were so fun. The beach area was fenomenal you could see a lot of different fish.

Our stay at Bahia Principe Grand Coba was a pleasure and fun filled. The entertainment team did a great job keeping the guests active and involved. Staff was friendly and helpful. The kids club staff was caring and responsible for the kids while left in their care be it for small intervals of time or the full-day. The only downside was language barrier for non Spanish/Mexican speaking guests. There were good Food options to cater to all dietary needs, however the Resort should consider having a dedicated area for pure vegetarian/vegans where the likely hood of contaminating it with use of shared spoons and tongs between veg and non-veg dishes at the counter. As a first timer on an All Inclusive Vacations, Overall it was a Great vacation experience with all my basic transportation arrangements pre-arranged. Would definitely recommend trip central.ca to friends and families.

Having a travel agent really helped with the booking process which I loved. Thank you Erin Thunder for making that process super easy and convenient. The resort was amazing. It was very beautiful and clean. The staff was really nice especially the entertainment team. They made my stay at the resort memorable.

We had a fabulous time at the Grand Coba resort. Excellent place to relax, and enjoy the tropics. The staff at the resort were all excellent and the resort was well maintained with fabulous landscaping. Great food with great fun. Strongly recommended to anyone.

We have enjoyed vacationing at this wonderful resort almost every year and sometimes twice a year since 2006! After an absence of 2 years because of Covid, I just returned to Coba once again for a week's vacatiion last week and found that this resort is now certainly in need of serious upgrades including the rooms and bathrooms, and all throughout the pool areas. Also, this time when we arrived at the resort after having communication with Bahia Principe Resorts saying that we would be welcomed as 18 time return guests at this Coba, instead, we were treated as first time quest only and offered only 3 a-la-cart visits to the many restaurants. We were told that we were no longer able to have full access to all the other three resorts which we have had for years and were not offered bathrobes or slippers of a choc treat on our pillow at night as we had been. They told us we could have access to all three other Bahia Principe Resorts if we e paid an extra $90 American money each! The last two week stay we had at Coba was in Fegruary 2020 and at that time, we were treated with the usual respect of 18 year return quests and were given all of the above plus we could have at least 10 a-la-carts for that 2 week stay. After about close to an hour discussion with various front desk staff...without being rude...... we insisted on speakng to the Manager and finally we were given the proper bracelets which allowed us to have our usual friendly treatment and our time there. My husband and I were planning on booking again in February after Christmas but at this point, I don't think I want to go through that booking in problem again. Other that I'd recommend Coba to many friends as I have in the past.

We've been to the Bahia Principe 14 times now and have never been disappointed. The grounds are lovely and extensive since there are 4 hotels on the site linked by shuttles. Food is excellent with daily themes in the buffet and your choice of 9 a la carte restaurants (book early though!!). Each evening there is themed entertainment including a great Cirque de Soleil type show (extra $15), the others are all free and vary from acrobats to fire shows. Rooms are comfortable and cleaned daily with sheets and towels changed daily. The in room mini bar is also restocked free daily. Drinks are as expected on an all inclusive, with many fantastic cocktails available in the lobby bar every evening. Resort pricing varies by which hotel you pick on the site with the Coba being the least expensive, but we think it's central location makes it one of the best. (Latest stay in November was approx $1300cdn/person all in including flights) Only downside is the long ride from the airport at approx 2 hrs each way. All in all a lovely resort which we can highly recommend!

The hotel Has changed a lot since our last visit . Disappointed with the amenities that were gone. Still liked. Our stay but probably won’t go back . Long time from airport to hotel. Don’t like that we could not use beach pools.

Had a really good time! My room was clean, and well stocked for the most part! I thought the buffet and food options were great as well, pools and bars were awesome! Beach area was a tad small for Coba guests but it wasn’t too bad. There is no food options for Coba at the beach but this really was a non issue! I ate so much at the buffet that I wasn’t hungry until well after lunch time hahaha! Honestly, everything was clean, the staff were unreal and it was truly a great trip. Start to finish, we had a really good time!

This is a solid 3.5/4 star resort in it's current condition. The grounds are lovely, the staff are friendly and hard working, and the food is above average. Great pools, the WIFI is strong throughout the resort (even the beach), and everything is very clean. The only real negative for us was the condition of the rooms ... they are dated and worn and really need to be refurbished! A couple of suggestions. We used Air Canada Vacations and our flight landed on time at 6:40 PM. We did not get to the resort until 10 PM as it was a 2 hour transfer. The buffet was closed and we struggled to find food. The resort is massive and can be disorienting so it would be best if you can arrive in daylight. Also, while not on the beach, the beach is walkable. We stayed in villa 2 (recommend Villas 1-7) and it was a 7 minute walk to the beach and a 7 minute walk to the main complex/buffet. We stayed in PDC and Tulum earlier this year and our beach experience was ruined by the sargassum (seaweed). Thankfully, the beach here was seaweed free! If the gym is important to you, look elsewhere as the gym at Grand Coba was small and not well equipped. Finally, friends we met had a room on the 1st floor of their Villa and found noise from the room above to be a problem. Our room was on the 3rd floor and we heard nothing (noting there are no elevators).

We enjoyed our vacation at Coba, and highly recommend it to anyone planning to visit this resort, great service, good food, rooms were very clean, transportation to & from the beach was excellent. Beach was amazing, we got to see a lot of fish, also had a fun time feeding them. We were blessed with good weather the entire seven days, the pools were amazing, had a great bar, also great night entertainment.

I have been to this resort twice before this time in 2013 and in 2015. Both times you could use all the pools, bars,buffets,beaches and shows no matter which part of the resort you booked into. NOW you can only use the resort you booked into things. If you book into Coba, you can only use Coba Beach, buffet, bars, pools, shows. They give you an arm band when you arrive letting all the other areas know you aren't welcome there, and they are strict about not letting you use the other areas.We Won't be back.

To be totally honest everything was OK with the exception of the following .. 1 King Bed and a couch bed , never heard from the desk about moving to to a room with two beds AC was poor , ceiling fan had one speed Slow .. called the desk, they sent two set of repair personnel twice and yet never offered to switch the room .. I won't be revisiting this resort or chain based on this experience

Hotel was great. Food, staff and pool. My room had no A/C, we did notify them but nothing. The beach is very rocky, so make sure you have water shoes. Everything else was great. Jose, our server was the best.

The rooms of the resort are so dainty. Definitely not a 5 star hotel. Would never come back here. The hotel lacks English speaking workers. Bunch of locals everywhere. Buffet is the same selection of food everyday.

We had a nice stay. Service was good. People very helpful and friendly. Food choices could be better. Only had bacon one morning. Only food choices are fish and pork. No Beef A bit if chicken. Over all we had a nice vacation.

The resort is fairly large but easy to navigate...staff were exceptional...pool layouts made it somewhat difficult to find shaded areas.....access to beach was by trolly but only 5 min trip...buffet and ala cartes were really good ...all in all our experience went well ...only change we would like to see is quicker trolley times as some waits were almost 20 mins

We had a great time at coba. Food was great and lots of it. All the workers worked so hard always smiling and saying hi. Hotel management were right on the ball to make sure everything was perfect. Rooms were dated but nice and always kept clean. Very big resort and always something going on.
