Verified PurchaserIncredible!
Came here on our honeymoon and couldn’t have been happier! The resort is beautiful with open air dining and bars. The pools are spotless, and the rooms are stylish and comfortable. Special thanks to the managers and chef Angela for making me feel safe eating gluten free for celiac!
Turtle Beach is a beautiful 4 star on the south coast of Barbados. It’s not modern but a classic, classy, Caribbean-style resort with everything you need and more. Rooms are clean, cozy and comfortable. Location is great. Close to many island must-sees. The access to sister resorts on the west coast was a nice touch if you want some variety. Staff were attentive and friendly. Food was excellent but more boutique style with fewer options than large resorts. Quality was exceptional. Steak, Mahi Mahi, ice cream and daily omelette bar were highlights. Reservations are required so plan ahead for your meals and check out the menu of the 3 restaurants posted daily at buffet podium. We stayed in 105 and it had a balcony that opened steps to the beach. Beautiful views of sunset. Has access to use the “Sandals” beach with break wall in case of rough conditions at Maxwell/ Dover beach. All beaches are public. Would 100% recommend. Be sure to leave the resort and explore. Barbados is very safe with beautiful adventures around every corner.
visited feb 19-26; 2023 SITE. Beautiful site, every room faces the beach! Beach has lots of loungers and shade available. very rough waters when we visited , but stone break made it possible to swim . Small children need to b closely watched. FOOD was very disappointing . omelet ladies were great in the morning . FRESH FRUIT limited not available; canned peaches and pears, soggy papaya, and no bananas after 2nd day. 2 of us are peschatarian , but could not find suitable sources of protein ; no greek yogurt, beans (or bean salad) or tofu sources available. FISH was gross! If the days we were there, marlin was the only ine available. Grey, dry texture of sand and wood glue!!! We visited the Friday fish market on Friday, Ostens, great selection of fish . which says that fish is available, but selection not made available to guests, STAFF Not sure what was going on with hotel staff, but the 6 of us visiting , found that the Staff in main restaurant and Sand Trap not friendly, not attentive, and did not make eye contact . Think the Mariot chain needs to shake up this hotel . our group is between 35 and 69 years old
We really enjoyed our stay at Turtle Beach Resort. The beach was beautiful, the ocean amazingly turquoise and super warm. The weather was perfect. The resort was really nice and kept very clean. The staff were constantly cleaning the building and grounds. The staff were extremely accommodating and couldn't do enough for us. Our room was great and very spacious with a lovely view of the pool and ocean. The bed was very comfortable. The furniture could use an updating though. The food was good and very plentiful. There was even a coffee shop and ice cream parlour on the grounds. There were lots of lounges on the beach. You never had to worry about finding one and if you couldn't, one of the beach staff would drag one over for you and then bring you drinks or popsicles. Super service. Great holiday. Loved Barbados! Felt very safe.
Only good things to say about this resort. We had the all inclusive package. Workers are all very nice. Food is great. I am West Indian so I was extremely happy that they had a lot of these types of dishes. Drinks were premium so that was great. Room was always cleaned well. I liked that it is a smaller resort. Everything is close. Ice Cream shop and Cafe are great additions. Cafe foods/drinks like something you would get at Starbucks. Ice cream options were different awesome (basic flavors plus different ones like pistachio, cookies and cream etc). Beach is important for me and this one did not disappoint, right close to the resort, soft sand, and blue waters. All back chairs were the ones that had their own shade at the top. The strip that the resort is located is all resorts (this next to Sandals), villas, hotels, and it was nice that you can walk along the beach of all of them. Kids club always had many activities and were always filled with the kids. We went for 5 days and it was the best time. I would definitely recommend.
The resort is very airy with open restaurants and comfortable amenities. Service is excellent and staff is very friendly and helpful. Room is clean and comfortable but bathroom can use a renovation as shower glass door leaks water on the bath floor outside the tub.
We had a great week at Turtle Beach.
Beach and Pools were amazing and the service was impeccable.
Food was always Great and Plentiful.
Rooms were good but Bed was Hard and Hot Water was not always plentiful.

Verified PurchaserGreat resort with a relaxed atmosphere
Nothing pretentious or fancy about this resort, which was a positive for me! Nobody racing to the biuffet or to get a lounger on the beach. Rooms are clean, staff is very helpful. Beach is spotless although water is choppy (Red flag for half of our trip) but fun if you enjoy big waves. Water sports staff is very friendly. Food is a bit repetitive but tasty and fresh.

Verified PurchaserLovely time at Turtle Beach Resort in Barbados
The hotel is so close to the airport, only a 15 minute drive away! Really nice. Very fast check-in and our room (a 1 bedroom ocean view suite) was gorgeous and comfortable. Great food! We ate mostly at Asiagos (a la carte) and food was exceptionally good. Staff were, on the whole, very friendly and courteous. Some had attitude, not sure why. Beach was the best we've ever seen! White/pink sand. Waters a little rough but still nice to swim in.

Verified PurchaserGreat Resort!!
We stayed at Turtle Beach Resort during the 2017 March Break. My wife is a teacher, so we have to take this time off and pay the premium. We were very satisfied with the resort as a whole: restaurants, staff, food, room, etc. The waves at this end of the island (south end) are bigger than up the west coast of the island, and there was a red flag on a couple days (which we ignored and went swimming anyway!!).
We decided to travel to Crystal Cove (one of the sister resorts part of Elegant chain) for the day. It is ranked lower than Turtle, and we actually did notice a reduction in food quality in the facility in general. In the end, we were happy to have chosen Turtle Beach.
The resort is located nearby to St. Lawrence Gap which is a touristy street with shops and restaurants along it. Apparently the night life was also recommended, but we didn't try it. We did walk along the street a few times, and made a couple purchases.

Beautiful small resort with a personal approach. The food was amazing even the buffet was 5 star quality. We were a little disappointed with the fact that our daughter couldn't eat at one of the two a la cart restaurants.Rooms are bright and clean, disappointed that the mini fridge was not stocked. For a family resort the beach is definitely not kid friendly due the size of the waves and undertows

Verified PurchaserGreat Vacation!
Just returned from a 10 day stay at beautiful Turtle Beach. The grounds, pool and beach areas were well maintained. Staff at the hotel were amazing. We celebrated my birthday and our 40th anniversary while there. In both cases I received cards signed by the staff as well as champagne in our room. We booked the Cool Runnings catamaran trip which we thoroughly enjoyed. A wonderful vacation!

Verified PurchaserFamily resort!
Overall loved everything, the staff especially. Was our first trip as a family out of Canada, and the staff made sure that our children enjoyed everything! Our daughter was a little shy in the beginning towards one of the staff members, until a bird decided to come a little closer to my daughter then she liked, but to the rescue our daughter calls her body guard! The staff member stood by and guarded our daughters food. was a very cute memory! The beach was beautiful and clean! The hotel was incredible, our son loved the flying fish and couldnt eat enough of it! Cannot wait to take our kids back there! hoping to see the same staff there too! Thank you so much !
