This was a great stay for the whole family. Such a family-oriented place, with mostly parents and kids, as well as retirees/grandparents. Staff, food, rooms, and, most importantly, the beach, we’re all great!

We enjoyed our week here. Grandkids loved the pools, playground, mini-putt course and air hockey at the teen club. Beach is magnificent for walking. Usually found available lounges under the palapas, and staff would set up umbrellas no problem. Food was varied and excellent. Disappointed that there was no availability at the Italian or Asian restaurants anytime that week, but the buffet had lots to offer and we also got into La Pergola for dinner. Mexican night in the courtyard was amazing. The only real wrinkle of the stay was upon arrival, when we checked in at the front desk and were subsequently directed into an ambush by a guy pushing us to buy a vacation unit. This was mid-afternoon and we had been up since 3a.m., so not in the mood for that. But, apparently, we weren’t getting our resort wristbands until we heard him out. Surely the hotel can save the pitch for guests who actually express an interest.

We recently stayed at this resort and had an amazing time. It’s definitely on the smaller side compared to some larger all-inclusives, but honestly, that ended up being one of the things we loved most about it. It’s big enough to keep you busy, but small enough that you can walk from one end to the other easily — especially great when you have kids. The pools were a major highlight. There’s a lively party pool if you’re in the mood for some fun, a quieter family pool, a small kids’ pool, and even an adults-only pool if you want a little peace and quiet. The water slides were perfect for younger kids, especially in the 5–8-year-old range — ours couldn’t get enough! The beach was absolutely beautiful — huge, clean, and perfect for long walks. You could walk for miles along the shoreline, and the beach area never felt crowded. Food was another strong point. We loved how easy it was to just show up at any restaurant without needing a reservation (except for the Italian restaurant). Plus, you can eat at your favorite spots as many times as you want, which we really appreciated. One major highlight was the MaiTai restaurant. Since we booked a suite, we received a coupon to dine there, and it was absolutely amazing — easily the best meal of our trip. Honestly, even if we hadn’t had the coupon, I would have happily paid out of pocket to eat there. It was that good! The rooms were nothing fancy — pretty classic resort style — but they were clean and comfortable. The grounds were beautifully maintained. There were a few downsides to mention. The kids club park wasn’t the best — a bit underwhelming compared to others we’ve experienced. The buffet was also on the smaller side with limited variety, so we found ourselves preferring the restaurants most nights. The resort does offer day passes for locals, so it can get very busy at times, especially around the pools. If you want a chair by the pool, you’ll need to be up early — by 8 or 9 a.m., most spots are already reserved. Lastly, for beer drinkers, one frustrating thing was the limit of four beers per day in the room. If you wanted more, you had to pay extra, which was a little disappointing for an all-inclusive. Overall, though, we had a fantastic trip. The size of the resort, the pools, the beach, the dining options, and the amazing experience at MaiTai made it a really memorable family vacation. We would definitely come back but I would not recommend this resort if you aren’t going on vacation with your kids.

The resort is in a great location. The beach is great to walk on when the tide is out. Its really flat. You can walk towards Bucerias or go the other way towards the Marina. The workers at the resort are very friendly and helpful. The food is very good in the specialty restaurants. The food in the buffet was average. The gardens and pools are very well kept up as the resort it self. I would recommend this resort.

Marival Emotions was ideal for families with young children. The food was plentiful and high quality with a lot of options. Very kid friendly! The ease of getting to the pools and beach was a highlight, the proximity to our room made outings stress free. Everything felt down to earth and we appreciated the easy breezy vibe. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly. The entertainment was plentiful and it was great to include our children in every aspect. The restaurant reservation system was a nightmare, the only way to get one was to wait in line for hours. Definitely an outdated system that we decided to avoid. Luckily we were very happy with the buffet options. Lots of variety and great quality!

From the location to our room, buffet and accommodations for adults and children, this resort has it all. This resort is well planned and laid out, especially the distance to the ocean or if you prefer just to sit at the pool everything is very accommodating. The performances and talent of the nightly shows in the theatre were the best that we’ve ever seen. My grandkids loved the variety. The only thing that I think we were not very happy with was the arrangements to try to get a dinner at one of the specialty restaurants. I was probably waiting for almost 2 hours in lineup to get into the Italian restaurant… When I finally got up to book it, it was sold out. The resort must have a better plan in place to book these restaurants… Perhaps at check-in time we could book something rather than get up at 6 AM to go wait for the 8 AM opening to reserve these spots. Aside from that this resort is amazing and I would definitely go back… The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

The location in Nuevo Vallarta, a short Uber ride away from Puerto Vallarta and Bucerias was a plus. The fine sand beach was great although the water was too rough for swimming most of of the time. The cleanliness and the temperature of the pools was amazing. With four pools catering to different demographics and needs, the choices were appreciated. The quality and variety of food in the buffet restaurant was above average and serving it by the pool on several occasions was a nice touch. The specialty restaurants however need improvement. The steak and sea food one was not anything to write home about. At the Italian one the food was great but the service was so slow, the children were totally cranky by the time we were served. The Mexican one had good food and the service was good. One common theme in all of them is that the wines are exorbitantly priced. There were a number of bars around the facility, including in two of the pools. The one issue with them is quality control and consistency: heavy on the ice and varying amounts of liquor and/or mix from each bartender. We got the same four cocktails at the table at the Mexican restaurant and they all tasted different! The buffet, restaurant and bar staff need better training in customer service as some of them seem to be quite indifferent at times

The grounds were kept beautiful. The food was very good, with lots of variety. Overall clean but rooms could use updates, especially bathroom. The pools were very nice and warm with plenty of chairs everywhere.

We travelled to Marival for my daughter's milestone birthday. It was the first time to this resort. My husband and I occupied one room in the resort section, my two adult sons shared a room in the resort section and my daughter, husband and granddaughter had a one bedroom suite in the club section. The resort is beautiful, the service for the most part is excellent. The food in the buffet restaurant is not the greatest, edible but very bland with the exception of the turkey night on Thanksgiving. The breakfasts in La Pergola were very good, much better than the buffet. When we arrived, the check-in experience was not good. The line was long and the staff had difficulty allocating our rooms. Then the front desk ran out of room key cards and after waiting for 90 minutes to check in, we had to wait another hour before they found key cards!! Just very strange that a resort should run out of key cards! Then when we got to our room, they had mixed up our room with our adult sons' room. After changing rooms twice, we finally ended up with a very nice room overlooking the family pool and a view of the ocean. The balcony was nice. Our room was lovely with a very comfortable bed. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and looked after very well. We spent most of our time at the family pool and my granddaughter enjoyed the slides and just having fun. It was great that the beach is so close and easier to find lounge chairs on the beach. Hotdogs or hamburgers for lunch were good at La Bamba, followed by an ice cream cone. Pro's 1. The Mexico fiesta was amazing. The food was so-so (excepting for the delicious churros, yum!) , but the atmosphere, the setting, the view and the mariachi band was fantastic. 2. The Michael Jackson tribute show was absolutely fantastic. Very professional and the lighting was amazing. Very impressive 3. Nice music in the Club lobby - we even danced. It was fun. 4. Honestly, the staff were amazing in all the restaurants and bars. We enjoyed aquafit every day and the pool entertainment staff were fantastic. . Cons: 1. The usual story of people claiming pool chairs by draping towels over them and then not using them for hours. I know this is a pet peeve of a lot of people but it was particularly bad at this resort. There should be something that can be done about this issue. 2. Not being able to book restaurants for the same night. We arrived the day before my daughter's special birthday and couldn't get a reservation for any of the specialty restaurants and ended up eating not particularly good pizza. Because my daughter and son in law had a suite, they had the services of an amazing concierge who managed to get us two dinner reservations and my son in law managed to book one dinner reservation, but other than that we were stuck eating dinner at the not so good buffet. 3. My daughter needed to do laundry and some of the machines weren't working and it took a while to get someone to help. It took so long to sort out the issue that she missed out on dinner with the family. 4. The Kids Club was lacking and my granddaughter is a very easy child to please. All in all, we had a very enjoyable week at the Marival Emotions

Staff consistently work to keep the resort refreshed. The Staff, Food, Accommodation, Well-Known Liquor Brands/ Pools, and Restaurants were wonderful. The majority of guests are Canadian with many from Alberta & Vancouver. Very friendly staff who work hard to provide an excellent vacation. Kid Friendly Resort with a Kids Club, water-slide pool; kids' evening buffet with a chocolate fountain for marshmallows & fruit. Sandwiches appear as characters, coloured buns for hot dogs, etc. Popcorn or crispy corn snacks are prepared nightly. Bungy-Jumping Trampoline ($) Teen Activity Centre with video games, air hockey, pool table, ping-pong, and fuzeball. Mini-Golf Course (very simple) and shuffleboard and bocce ball courts. Adult pool. Two other larger pools with swim-up bars. A-la-carte restaurants serve delicious food, in particular, the La Bamba & Almalfe & Mai-Tai. Arrive early morning to book your al-la-cartes. An abundance of lounges and beach umbrellas on the beach. An air mattress to place on lounges will provide comfort as some are saggy.

The resort is well kept. It is spotless on the grounds, in the restaurants, in the public washrooms, by the beach, vegetation is well manicured. All the staff were super friendly and accommodating. They would always offer a friendly ‘Ola’ with a smile whenever they passed you. Not all of them spoke English and for me that made what Mexico is all about: a new experience. Very small inconvenience: only 3 restaurants and smorgasbord. Reservations need to be done for the 3 restaurants from 3:30 pm and at times they cannot accommodate everyone. The resort is advertised as all inclusive and it is not as all 3 restaurants’s menu have items that if ordered bear an extra charge. Also, the Time share agression on new comers has to stop.

We have been to this resort many times & find the service & choice of food excellent. The staff are very friendly & with the exception of the Mexican restaurant, the food at the a la carte restaurants is delicious

An excellent 4 star resort. Food was great. Service was excellent, very friendly and accommodating staff. Beach is great, umbrella guys are amazing. Rooms and grounds super clean. Animation staff was out of this world.

Finally, a resort we were fully enjoying in every aspect (as an extended family): - 20-30 minutes away (depending on the traffic) from the airport - clean rooms with functional A/C; furniture reasonably dated - thoughoutful layout and scenic view - clean territory and amenities - AWESOME food selection at the buffet and snack bar - WARM swimming pools - lively animation - quality Kids/Teens club (arcades, pool, pingpong, air hockey) - convenient ocean access My only issue was quite a bit of smoking by the pools and at the lounge area. Overall, amazing. Definitely coming back.

This was our third family vacation at the Marival and a great time was had by all. Marival is family friendly, staff is exemplary, efficient, and always helpful! We had special requests due to allergies and all a la cart chefs and captains were venry accommodating. Entertainment was family friendly and enjoyed by all. Cleaning staff and gardeners do a great job of keeping the place in tip top shape! We had a lovely vacation!

Nice hotel , food was good but not great..Birds were a problem at the outside food restaurants. Really great a la carte options. Friendly staff and great location. Have been here twice but will try somewhere else next time to switch it up.

Lots for kids to do, Kids club has a good variety of crafts, games, shows. good variety of food, average food, room was not the cleanest. Service was average nothing above and beyond. Could not book the restaurants as they were all full for the week!

We really enjoyed the grounds, pools, and beach. However this resort is full of timeshare salespeople. At check-in we were passed along to a timeshare salesperson before receiving our wrist bands and room key - this was a huge turn-off. Because of this scheme we will not stay at this resort again.

Beautiful weather, pools and beach. Hotel is a little tired, especially the club section. Whoever designed this resort gave no thought to how noise carries. The first night my friend and I couldn’t even talk as the band in the bar was so loud. Fortunately they stopped at 10pm but then we had to contend with those continuing to party until 3am. When we spoke to the concierge in the morning she was good enough to move us immediately. Still in the club section so some faint bar noise but what was worse was that we were above the kitchen/buffet restaurant so were awakened each morning at 5am. By the way stay away from the club section if you can’t do stairs....no elevator. Having said this the staff everywhere were amazing! Very attentive and courteous.

Buffet was not to up 5* resort - needs more selection and see food. Not entertainment in adults pool area. At the arrival Instead of welcome drink first we were send to person who who try to sell us time share with out seeing the resort and the fasciitis Not very professional from the management of the resort!

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The bell boys are great and very knowledgeable. After the first night we changed rooms as our room was facing the theatre which was very loud at night. The pools were awesome, the arcade was nice and cool and the restaurants were good. We will definitely go back again. My son is 6 and he preferred the regular pools than the pirate ship and my daughter of 2 enjoyed all of them. She was a bit young to go down the bigger slides but she enjoyed the small pirate ship slide.

Overall this hotel was very good. Clean, well maintained, friendly. We renewed our vows for our 25th wedding anniversary and Rosa in the wedding services team was very good. Helpful and accommodating. Great events were planned while we were there. Beach party, Mexican fiesta to name a few. There are a few things here and there that the hotel could improve to be a 5 star hotel but overall, a very good vacation!

A group of seven girls and I spent a week at Marival and we had a great time. Two of the girls are vegans and the staff accommodated their dietary needs. Special thanks to Victor and Jullion for going above and beyond to making sure our stay was enjoyable. The rooms that we stayed in (131) were a bit outdated but were always clean!

I love this resort! The group that I went with is already planning to go again next year! Everything was phenomenal; the drinks, food, amenities, staff. I had heard many people rave about this hotel and I agree.

A group of friends and I recently spent a week here and only have good things say! Victor at the grand pool and Julian at the buffet, as well as all of the other staff took great care of us! Can’t wait to return!

Great resort , good pools , good restaurants . Great service . Got picked up at the airport and brought back to airport after our stay. I would recommend to anyone ... Lots of family but also lots of privacy if needed.

This resort is wonderful. It is not a huge resort but has everything you need. Staff were friendly and could not do enough for you. The shows every night were excellent. It is only about 10 minutes from the airport.

We had an excellent experience, the room had a great view and was to our full satisfaction. This resort has sooo may good Restaurants and buffets some close to the ocean ideal for lunch or dinner. The variety of food is amazing and absolutely delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful, could not as for better. The beach is large great for swimming or walking. We enjoyed our stay very much, thinking of returning next year.

We stayed at the Marival Resort for one week in early December 2018. Below is some feedback: Good: Food - Was excellent Staff - Were friendly and very helpful Pools - They were heated, well designed, my family loved them. There was plenty of chairs. Crowding - The resort didn't feel full or crowded while we were there Beach - This is the best beach i've seen. The sand is soft, the water is warm, and it is very shallow far out Outdoor equipment rental Ok: Kids Club - Staff spoke english well and had a variety of activities. My only negative feedback is a few activities (ie a gorilla chasing kids up a rock wall) weren't appropriate for my young children. They also watched TV a small amount of time which I would have preferred they didn't Rooms - Well designed, but a bit older. This was definitely satisfactory, but not exceptional Bad: Sand Toys - They don't loan any out. We had to bring our own all the way from Canada Gym - The equipment was ok, both ellipticals were broken and apparently they had been broken for a while. The gym is also very poorly air conditioned.

Our family of 5 stayed eight days (end of June beginning of July 2018) at this resort. It was a great experience from the very start. We got our rooms right away, everything was very clean and well kept! Off to the beach right away. The beach area is groomed daily and everyone does their part to keep it clean. Beach service ie: umbrellas, chairs, towels are available and someone is always ready to help you set up. The pools are very nice, access to the pool bar is difficult at times as it very crowded. But you are always served with a smile! The bar tenders were surprised when we told them that we didnt want too much alcohol in our drinks!! And often requested water as the temperature was in the 40 degrees! The sun sand and surf are a beautiful escape. We dined at the buffet many a nights as we like to stay at the beach till the sunset (such an amazing sight!). Great variety of foods, we always found something to tempt our palate!! Fresh variety of fruits every morning for breakfast, you can have someone prepare your omelet with your choices. No line ups at all. We truelly enjoyed our stay at the Marival and we will definetly recommend this resort to friends and family. We shall return without a doubt!!

The resort was well equipped and offered lots of events, shows, activities and services that kept us busy for the entire week. Close to the city but not in the centre of it, we appreciated being right by the beach while having access to the city as needed. The food was decent but not amazing. We also saw a few cockroaches here and there (one tickled my toes...). I think that is to be expected as so much food is made and subsequently wasted. When we went, there were large groups of kids. Even in our rooms, we could hear kids running around and yelling. In the adult only pool, there were kids from time to time. If you want peace and quiet, this is not the place for you. But if you want a lively atmosphere and have a family, this is the place for you. For couples, I would say that this place is quite good, but there might be more romantic options elsewhere. Overall, fantastic place and for an amazing value, I would return again.

Have been going to this resort for over 20 years & each year it gets better. Staff bend over backwards to meet your every need - in particular Gina,Leo, Oscar ,Dalia, Judith, Jorge, Christian and Reggie to name but a few. We have met marvellous people from all over Canada and the U.S. that come back year after year as well - considering all the different resorts that are available this speaks volumes for the resort. The 5 restaurants are excellent and provide a good variety of food with the Italian being top notch and the new maitre de is very accommodating. We recommend this hotel to all our friends and familt

This resort is amazing for families! Food was good, we enjoyed it all, and so did my 2 small kids. Lots of shows and entertainment for the whole family. We enjoyed our stay! Every day there is always something going on to keep everyone busy and having fun.

This was our third time to the Marival. We came back because of the beautiful property, excellent restaurants and friendly service. Wonderful location, perfect size resort. We especially enjoyed our daily happy hour visit to the M & M bar. Our server, Judith made our experience special. She was very friendly and attentive. Our favourite memory is of her playful way of teaching us Spanish! We hugged her good-bye our last night! We miss the adult pool and the long walks on the beach already!!

We had a fantastic week at club marival! Staff were all great and the facilities were beautiful and very well kept. Lots of good food to choose from. We were traveling with a 10 month old and they were very accommodating - crib in room, lots of high chairs, plenty of shaded areas. Lots of great memories made.

We really enjoy the Marival Resort its a great place for the whole family , the food is great, I would like to mention though that not all rooms are equal, if you are not on the new side which I don't know how you get those ones rooms as I requested them and when I arrived I was told NO, so we were on the club side which is dated but clean, and not much of a water view a lot of roof tops are in your way of the view, so I was disappointed in that for sure.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the hotel- however we did have to switch rooms when we first arrived as the tub and sink did not drain. However our second room was great. We loved there adults pool! It was a very clean facility with pleasant workers. However we were a bit disappointed we were only able to get into two al le carts

The hotel was nice and the pools were great. We liked the quiet pool. Buffet food was okay. We didn’t know ahead of time that we needed to book the restaurants and couldn’t get into many which was very disappointing. We were on the club side and rooms were okay but would book the grand side next time if we were To go back. The staff was amazing.

We found that the food was not as good as the last two years that we stayed at this resort . The one other thing that I would complain about it that we tried to get a deal on some golf seeing this was our third year at their resort and they would not accommodate us with any .

Very kid friendly yet great for adults also. Food was good. Service was great. Will go back for sure. Everything went smooth and our family of 4 all would return. Liked the night shows also..good entertainment.

Well kept grounds. Nice pools. Good variety of restaurants, good food and drinks. Need to change entertainment up, been the same for a long time. Fabulous beach front. Tennis, water aerobics, boogie boarding, lots of activity. Biggest negative was time share pressure, hold your ground. But Great price and value of vacation makes up for it.

Marival in Nuevo Vallarta was really a great resort and destination. It had everything that you look for when going away. Everything from an excellent long, wide, powdery beach to great dining, entertainment, rooms and gardens plus some other bonus features. The staff were very attentive with consistently excellent service. Amazing sunsets. The only thing I disliked was that from arrival at the Puerto Vallarta airport to check-in there were several high pressure tactics to pressure you into going to a time-share sales presentation. At the airport when you were looking for your transfer ride travel staff are lined up at counters calling you over knowing you are looking for your transfer. They then proceed into their sales pitch and are relentless and annoying. Even at hotel check-in they hand you off to a person to (so they say) give you your bracelets. This person isn't interested in giving you your bracelet so you can start your vacation and proceed to your room after a long trip. Instead working to sell time share units and pressure you to visit an RCI time share presentation. The number of close attempts was crazy even bringing over a 2nd closer time share Manager. What a trap/gimmick, . OMG we went to vacation; not be pressured to buy time shares. We simply had to demand our bracelets be given to us and walk away. Very bad start to an otherwise excellent vacation.

The hotel was clean and comfortable and the food was great! The pools were beautiful. The best thing about our trip was our server in our lobby lounge named Josephina. She was very efficient as well as a beautiful, kind person. She went above and beyond excellent service!! Truly the best server ever!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at club marival. We had heard of problems with time share reps but we did not encounter that... I grabbed our bracelets and away we went. This was our 3rd trip to the area and our favourite by far. Food was fantastic, staff incredibly helpful, grounds beautiful and weather perfect. Our server Josephine became a fast friend and went way above and beyond her job for us. I want to go back already!

We all feel that this resort is a 9 out of 10. The grounds were always kept clean at all times. The food was amazing and the shows were very enjoyable. The only negative thought we have is that there was a lot of walking between restaurants for someone who had to use a walker or wheelchair. We were welcomed with a complementary gift.

This hotel is one of our favorites as we've been there 4 times now, The staff is helpful, the food is excellent, the grounds are kept very nice, the beach is clean, and the bartenders and servers are the best( Hugo and Judith). Some of the shows were very good, but the people who are trying to sign up timeshare and other things are a real nuisance and need to take the hint when you say NO thanks!. All in all we would return there again.

Just returned from a week at the Marival, staying of the Grand side. We had friends staying on the club side, and the rooms in Grand are much nicer and have elevators. After hearing so many bad things about time share sharks, I listened to someone's advice and asked our travel agent to request no time share pitches upon check in. So when we arrived upon check in, we received our bracelets immediately. One of the sharks asked how I got my bracelets and I told her"no time shares". She responded by saying we get free stuff. And only 90 minutes. I said I'd rather be on the beach those 90 minutes. She didn't bother us again. There is also a desk to book tours in the lobby area, but beware that is a time share push as well. Just ignore them and say not interested. And they will leave you alone. You just need to be firm. As far as resort, it's very clean, beautiful beaches and great food. We enjoyed the buffet and went to La pergola one evening for supper. It was very slow but once food arrived, it was very good. Also went to Amalfi, excellent food and the baked Alaska is quite a show and delicious! Staff work very hard and are always smiling!

We arrived at the Marival as a family of 12! There were 8 adults, four children, the oldest 6, and youngest 3 months! Check in was quick BUT the biggest turn-off was being directed to another Employee to get your wrist bands and the time share/condo speel began..we had to be rude and demand wrist bands!! Not a good start! Finally got to our room.....no elevator. Not handy for young families as stroller had to be carried up and down many times a day. Fifficult for the elderly as well. Rooms are small but adequate; towels weary! Nice balcony and yes, air conditioning. The food and the staff are what makes this place amazing! Buffet is awesome and the a la carts, fabulous! There are many pools, quiet ones and family ones and a spectacular kids castle with slides etc. The ocean beach is unending and provides the perfect setting for boogie-boarding, sunset walks or sand castle and moat building. There are plenty of chairs of all sorts, towels, snack food joints, entertainers, and helpful staff throughout! We are all planning to return next year!

overall this resort was pretty good. one thing that seemed to be missing was music at the pool. the waiters we all in all this was a pretty nice resort. we received excellent service, particularly from Abraham, Roberto and Gladys. they were very attentive to us. one thing that could be improved is the music around the pool. there was none.

Our very first contact person upon arrival was Gabriel, who was remarkably helpful, consistently through our stay and until the very last day. Our 1 bedroom suite was exceptionally clean & immaculate. The Mexican Restaurant had excellent, personable servers. Guacamole is made fresh at each table and a Mexican coffee is prepared with flare in a dazzling, impressive, entertaining show. The Italien Restaurant also had excellent service with a professional manager. Luigi, They served a lobster bisque, second to none. Our 3rd, a la carte restaurant was La Pergola, great for breakfast or dinner. All red meats were tender and cooked to perfection in all of the a la cartes. The Buffet was perfect for breakfast. Lunch & dinner offered similar variety each day. Swim-up bar and pool bar service was professional, fast and personable. The beach was wide, clean, warm & with waves perfect for body/boogie board surfing. The pools were exceptionally clean. The landscaping was admirable. The entertainment staff (anamacion crew) had a wonderful, easy going sense of humour on stage that was contagious to the audience. The M & M bar was a favourite, often with an amazing, professional pianist in the background. The only con was that the grade of the wheelchair ramps around the Buffet were too steep to manage even with assistance. All in all, this resort had everything to offer for a memorable stay that would beckon you to return. As mentioned above, there were so many staff members, too countless to name them all, that made the Resort a 5 star for us. Thank-you to the friendly, accomodating staff of the Marival. You are 5 star people all the way!

The hotel was nice, service was good. The night shows were very good. We enjoyed our stay but we will not go back. The hotel staff were speaking Spanish mainly and very little English. I recommend this resort if you have kids

Really enjoyed our time at the Marival. We found the staff very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were clean. We shared the room with our daughter so the double beds were something to get used to....not uncomfortable just a change from our King. The food options were abundant and the restaurant reservation worked like a charm. By far I found the Amalfi (Italian) restaurant, to be my favourite for dining experience and quality of food. The entertainment was less exciting our first couple days and picked up from there. The Michael Jackson night and Frozen night were very entertaining! The beach was beautiful! The soft golden sand was amazing. We had taken a tour to the souther part of the cove where the beaches were suppose to be whiter and more beautiful. We found the beach at Marival better and were very happy. The vendors on the beach are all licensed and the Marival has staff monitoring them so if one gets a little too pushy, the Marival security are there to help. We enjoyed a few drinks and I found I could drink more "alcoholic" drinks than usual and not feel any effects, which was fine with us. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the Marival for our first trip to Mexico and would definitely recommend and re-book.

We were here a couple of years ago, and overall the service has deteriorated. Some staff are still great, but many seem indifferent. The pizza grill and bar are a great feature. We had Gold status for the week, but they did a very poor job at explaining all of the features of the program so it felt like a bit of a waste. The towel hut almost everyday did not have enough large towels available. The checkout process was log and arduous - they did not have enough staff working the front desk.

The grounds were nice and the staff were hard working. It is pretty hard to give a good review however as there were 500+ Kids staying there. It was for soccer championships. It was very loud and difficult to get food or seating anywhere. Horrible experience. It may be a nice resort but they should not be offering rooms to anyone during something like that. It was supposed to be a relaxing vacation and instead we left the resort most days to get away from the noise.

The resort was nice, friendly staff and had beautiful grounds. The rooms were a little outdated. The food was horrible, it seems they had the same food in the buffet everyday. The location is great not too far with a central plaza. We did have a theft issue, where my ny hat was stolen from the room and the management refused to take responsibility for its staff. I then did a little research after I came back and I realized that this resort has had theft issues in past and management has refused to take responsibility. I would not for back there again.
