great resort if you like the beach (albeit it wavy) and really quiet (no night life), only downfall is that the resort pretty much shuts down @ 11pm, you cannot get alcohol or food past 11 (unless you want to pay for it), also, not a lot of on site entertainment for an all inclusive resort? They need to fill you bar fridge with alcohol at a minimum, like most all inclusive resorts in Cancun.

It is a nice hotel, clean and well kept. There are 2 "a la carte" restaurants that require daily booking. The food is good at the whole resort. The beach is nice, however, there is only a small amount of chairs and umbrellas. And there isn't a natural shade to protect you from the hot sun. The beach bar is very good with all sorts of drinks and also offering food being delivered right to your chair which is awesome for those lazy days when you don't even feel like going for lunch :-) The only thing we were missing at this hotel was an entertainment. There is nothing happening in the evening/night. It would be nice to have a band or DJ playing in the evening so people can socialize, dance and have some fun. I would recommend this hotel for families with kids that have to go to bed early. It's very quiet there :-)

If you want to have a quiet time and a great beach, this is the place to go. There is only a couple of down sides to this resort. 1. There isn't a place to sit and socialize after dinner. 2. There is only one restaurant that you can book. However it is a great restaurant. (Italian). 3. There isn't any nighttime entertainment. The positives: 1. The beach is amazing 2. The service is also amazing. 3. The food is excellent.

We had a great time here. The hotel is very well kept clean. They are always cleaning everything rails grounds even hand picking weeds out of the ground. Loved the food no complaints there just wish there were more alcartes. My favourite breakfast server was Daysi and her husband was awesome as well. Martin was the first smiling face we seen when we got there he is a amazing bellboy. He solved any problems we might of had. Angel was the best beach server ever Cup was never empty. This is pretty much a smoke free resort so me as a smoker will make a comment or two. I respect the fact to pertect non smokers but have a spot where you don’t have to walk massive stairs to have a smoke . My husband is a no. Smoker would agree I need a new knee and waiting but the stairs hurt to have a smoke. I no there renovating and there will be more restaurants so that will top the cake. If you don’t like the buffet you can order of the menu. All in all we loved our stay and will definitely go back once they have more restaurants

The main bartender in the beach bar lies about drinks and tries to sell drink to guests. The room has cockroaches. I booked a room with king size bed. But hotel asked for more money and gave me a room with 2 beds. If I knew this I wouldn't book this hotel. The A/C in the room is very noisy. I would not stay in this hotel next time.

Great hotel, food was very tasty and variety was large. we had a 7 day stay and all of our interactions with hotel staff was amazing. Yesenia our housemaid was absolutely amazing and made us feel right at home. our bar tenders (Ruben,Louis) made us feel very welcome and introduced us to many new and flavorful drinks while maintaining the upmost hospitality. we had purchased the all inclusive and they made sure our cups were never empty. 10/10.

Hotel was not really 4 star. It only had 1 restaurant and 1 buffet that looked more like a snack bar. Airtransat transit for return flight was 3 hours before the flight and hotel refused to help with food in the morning because buffet opened up at 7 and we were leaving at 6:35. They tried to hussle us into going to their store and buying sandwiches even though we had all inclusive, refused to give us food to go when we came to restaurant a night before the flight. We even spoke to manager of the buffet who explained to us that ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT is only in the restaurant. this is a first time i had experiences something stupid like that in ALL INCLUSIVE hotel. Drinks were ok, but selection was not comparable to say Bahia Principe or Secrets chains that we normally go to. Forget about fresh fruit smoothies with alcohol. Only standart stuff you find in any bar. Another major issue why i am leaving such low review was constant renovation. We have kids and we specifically went to the hotel because it has small kids swimmingpool for kids with slides. But they were making renovations all week and that included: building stairs from cement (i especially enjoyed breathing that stuff), welding out in the open (mere meter from the kids pool putting my kids sight at risk), making pergola type structure out of wood with wood shavings all over the floor and then of cause covering wood with sealeant that stunk like crazy chemicals. In room AC was super noisy and beds mediocre. On contrary to our requests to get our room clean in the morning, very often when we got back from beach at 2-3pm it was still not cleaned and we could not have nap with kids. On a good note, they had nearly empty beach with nice comfortable beds because hotel was full of drunk kids and they were sleeping all day and good selection of food from menu from waiters on the beach and around the pool. Also, special thanks to italian restaurant that was absolutely phenominal. If they had 2-3 restaurants like that and we could eat there more then once a day, i would give hotel higher rating.

We loved our 11 days at Emporio! All of the staff were really friendly, the food was great and everything was well-maintained. The decor maybe a little outdated but they are working on upgrading the rooms. We were in one of the older suites but everything worked fine and the rooms were clean. Everything closes at 11 so it gets nice and quiet when it's time to go to bed. The beach was great too and the sand was groomed regularly. There was some seaweed in the water but it didn't inhibit people from going into the ocean. Considering what we paid we felt we got really good value for our money.

The hotel was good but not great! Rooms need to be upgraded. The food was terrible and they have a restaurant menu that is included in the all inclusive but is not given unless you ask for it. we found out about it a 2 days before we leave. The alcoholic beverage are not all inclusive and the ones that or included is watered down. The beach is not great lots of see . The hotel is kept clean and most of the staffs are amazing! There is no entertainment on sight. Everything closes by 11pm except for a 24 hour convenient store that is open to purchase snacks on sight.

The Emporio Family Suites in Cancun was very clean, grounds well maintained, meals delicious and well prepared, staff very friendly. We asked to be moved from our room as it was NOT what we asked for. Our departure with Sunwing Airlines was chaotic as boarding pass told us the gate to be at, then it was changed and no announcement of that change was made for all the passengers travelling home. We were delayed for one hour, with no explanation. I won't travel with Sunwing again.

Stayed for a week with our two kids. Junior Suite Oceanfront Accommodations were spacious (but dated), view was incredible. Food, pools and beach were great and service was exceptional! Would recommend to anyone with children(especially young ones)

checkin was no problem,after checking our room,we found the toilet plugged,so we moved to a different room. I sent an email,asking for a room in the renovated section,but that was egnored. There is a big problem about maintenance,before guests move in,they only fix problems, when you complain.we had cold showers for two days. One good thing about this resort: food is excellent at the buffet and in the restaurant. before I would visit again, I would wait,until all rooms are renovated. If you have a problem walking,dont go there,hardly any ramps,stairs everywhere.

Visited Cancun to celebrate our friends birthdayWe enjoyed 7 days of amazing weather and lots of laughs. Let's start with the good points at the Emporio: Beach area is amazing, lots of palapas and chairs, the area is cleaned every morning so there are no large pieces of shell and you have lots of space . Big shout out to Adrian who was our beach server, he was so friendly and provided excellent service. He works very hard to ensure the guests are well looked after. Our room was large and had a big balcony facing the ocean, beautiful views. I never saw our maid but wish to thank them for cleaning our room, it was always spotless. We found all the staff to be friendly and gracious. We went to the Italian restaurant for the birthday celebration, Thank you to the wait staff there as they made the night memorable !! Down sides for us were the lack of chairs by the pool, there are a lot of sun beds for rent but were empty the week we were there. I would have to agree with all the comments about the front desk and checking in, this was our most negative experience. When we booked we asked for adjoining rooms so that we could use one of the Murphy beds and share the large balcony. At check in one of us was assigned our room escorted away and then our friends were asked to wait while the staff served a flight crew that had just arrived. Our friends were given the small room in another building. We went back to the font desk and asked to be together , they asked us to come back the next day. We returned and were told the larger room beside our friends would be vacant the next day so back we went on day two only to be told a different story. Because we were at the front desk we witnessed several flight crews coming in and getting service before other patrons. For us the service at the front desk was disappointing!

Great value for families looking for a resort that has spacious rooms (separate master bedroom linked to a kitchenette and living room with Murphy beds) and an impressive and well maintained beach. Staff were friendly and the kids club was a hit with our girls (ages 5 and 7). Pools were also clean and plenty of swimming options, including a pirate ship kids pool that kept ours entertained for hours on end. While the breakfast options got a little old by the end of the week, food was generally quite good with some standout seafood dinners that set the bar high. Separate Italian restaurant on site had excellent food, although we experienced rather slow service on the evening we dined there. Overall, we were very happy with our experience at Emporio and would definitely consider returning. Note for those who seek on site nightly entertainment, there is none offered at this resort at this time (other than the bar!). This was not at all an issue for us (we were at the room with our kids), but may be for others. Also, the room decor is definitely dated but this did not bother us and we found ours to be quite clean.

There are only 2 restaurants, and not buffet style , orders in the restaurants and bar must be signed for even if its just a glass of water. There is no show or entertainment offered at night. WIFI is very weak in room. hotel staffs are friendly and room is clean. view and beach are so beautiful. If you want relax and quite vacation , this maybe the hotel for you. hotel zone bus is very convenient.
