This 9-night city tour of Budapest and Prague, allows your to discover two of central Europe’s most iconic cities, both rich in history and culture, but yet very unique and distinct from each other.
Begin in Budapest in one of Europe’s most stunning and underrated cities.  Budapest is the capital of Hungary, split by the Danube River into two parts: Buda (the hilly, historic side), and Pest, its flatter and more urbanized counterpart.. They're connected by several bridges, the most famous being the Chain Bridge. 
Budapest is known for its impressive architecture, famous thermal baths, vibrant nightlife, and delicious Hungarian cuisine.  The city offers a mix of history, culture and relaxation, making it a popular and romantic European destination.  
Return from Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, known for its well-preserved historic architecture that gives it a fairy-tale atmosphere..

Itinerary

Day 1 | Depart Canada

  • Fly to Budapest.

Day 2 | Welcome to Budapest & Hungary

  • Upon arrival take a private transfer to your hotel, where you will spend the next 4 nights.
  • Spend the remainder of your day exploring at your own pace. During your stay, you will have plenty of time to explore this outstanding city plus venture to neighboring areas to experience the true essence of authentic Hungary.
  • Key attractions include the Hungarian Parliament Building and Buda Castle, stunning views of the Danube River, and unique ruin bars.  

Day 3 to 5 | Sightseeing

  • Discover the most important sights in Budapest on a guided city tour. Visit the main attractions on both sides of the Danube, such as Central Market Hall, St. Stephen’s Basilica, and Castle District. Learn about 1,000 years of Hungarian history as you see the city's most important sites. On the drive to the Buda side of the Danube, you will see all major attractions along the river Danube.

  • Enjoy a scenic evening cruise along the Danube River in Budapest, taking in the city’s illuminated landmarks, including the Buda Castle, Hungarian Parliament, and Chain Bridge. Relax with live music of a Folk Orchestra, performing local and classic favorites. Enjoy a buffet-style dinner or a la cart dinner with a welcome drink included. Admire Budapest’s UNESCO-listed panorama while enjoying a delightful evening.

  • Half-day tour to Etyek-Buda wine region with wine tasting and lunch
  • Only 30 minutes from the capital, visit this region with a small group for  a genuine countryside experience. Visit the family-owned wine cellars and meet with local farmers and winemakers.Visit two boutique wineries and taste four wines at each. Amongst the well-known varieties like Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, you will have the opportunity to taste the aromatic Hungarian wine sorts like Irsai or Kiralylanyka (Little Princess) and Pinot Noir. The tour is completed with a home-made traditional Hungarian lunch before returning to Budapest.

Day 6 to 10 | Budapest to Prague

  • After breakfast make your own way to the train station in Budapest and board your train to Prague. Upon arrival in Prague, make your own way to your hotel where you’ll spend 5 nights.
  • Key attractions include the Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, and the Old Town Square with its Astronomical Clock. The city offers a rich history, vibrant cultural scene, beautiful scenery along the Vltava River,

  • Prague, often referred to as the “City of a Hundred Spires,” is not only a marvel of architecture and history - it’s also one of Europe’s most atmospheric destinations for classical music. Concerts in Prague offer visitors a chance to step inside stunning historic venues and experience the timeless beauty of classical music in the heart of Bohemia.

  • Take a guided morning private walking tour to admire and learn about the fascinating attractions of the Old Town, Jewish Quarter and New Town.

  • This cruise offers a relaxing way to see Prague's landmarks, such as Prague Castle and Charles Bridge, from a unique perspective on the water. You can choose to sit inside or on the open deck, and cruises include sightseeing-only, dinner or wine.

  • The Original Tour at Pilsner Urquell Experience Centre in Prague (18 years and up)
  • During the “Original Tour,” clients will be transported back in time and experience the story of beer from its origins in ancient times to the present day. The exhibition engages all human senses from beginning to end. Taste golden beer while meeting our first brewmaster, then experience the brewing processes:  ingredients, the hot brewhouse, or  cellars.

Day 11 | Return Home

  • Time to say goodbye to Prague. You will be picked up from your hotel by your driver be taken  to the airport.
