• Departure for the desert and crossing of the Atlas via the Tizin Tichka pass at 2260 m altitude. Visit of the Tifeltoute Kasbah. After lunch, departure for Zagora via the Draa river valley, the most important oasis in southern Morocco. Arrival at Zagora, in the Tafilalkht Valley, a river-fed oasis.

Day 4 |  Zagora ? Erfoud ? Merzouga330 km

• Departure from Zagora along the desert’s mysterious tracks. After lunch in Alnif, continue to Erfoud, the last town before the desert, surrounded by palm groves. Arrival at Merzouga, famous for its sand dunes. Accommodation in a Bivouac, a tent with toilets and a private shower. Possibility of taking part in an optional excursion (sold on site $).

• Unforgettable sunrise in the desert. Departure for Tinghir to visit the Todra Gorges, two 300-metre-high cliffs separated by just 20 metres at the narrowest point. Then, head to the Dades valley to visit the gorges, then on to Ouarzazate.

• Departure for Ouarzazate and the Taourirt Kasbah, former residence of El Glaoui, the pasha of Marrakesh. Departure from Ouarzazate for the Kasbah of Ait Ben-Haddou, one of the oldest and best-preserved Kasbahs in Morocco. After lunch, crossing of the Atlas Mountains via the Tizin Tichka pass, before arriving in Marrakesh.

• Departure from the hotel to begin the cultural tour of Marrakesh: the exterior of a 12th-century mosque, the Koutoubia. Visit of the Bahia Palace before entering the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa Square and the Medina. After lunch, visit the typical souks of the Medina and free time for dinner. Possibility to take part in optional excursions (sold on-site $).
