Fly to Lisbon
Day 2 | Welcome to Lisbon
- Arrive in Lisbon and take your transfer to your hotel. The remainder of your day is at your own leisure.
- Spend your first day in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, a fantastic city full of stories to tell of old customs and ancient history mixed with cultural entertainment, where historical monuments and World Heritage Sites blend with urban art by world-famous artists.
Day 3-9 | Lisbon - Algarve
- After breakfast, check out from your hotel. Board your included transfer to Lisbon Oriente Train Station and take the train to the Algarve. Upon arrival in the Algarve, board your transfer to your hotel.
- Spend the next 7 nights relaxing and exploring the Algarve region, Portugal’s most southern region and Europe’s best-kept secret.

- Visit the mountains and see the remains of Moorish and Roman existence. The historic city of Silves was once the capital of the ancient Arab kingdom of Algarve. Stroll through its streets to the Castle, one of Islamic Portugal’s most famous military monuments, then visit the Cathedral, once an ancient mosque. Continue to the Monchique Mountains to Foia, the Algarve’s highest point, for a spectacular photo opportunity, then head to the ancient city of Lagos, where Henry the Navigator led the Portuguese into the Age of Discoveries during the 15th century. Wander through its narrow streets and historic city centre before continuing to Cape St. Vicente, Europe’s most south-western point, once known as “the End of the World”. Landmarks include the Great Lighthouse and the fortress of Sagres, which was once home to Henry’s School of Navigation.

Day 10 | Algarve - Lisbon
- Check out of our accommodation in the Algarve and take your transfer to train to Tunes train station. Arrive at Oriente train station and make your own way to your hotel in Lisbon.
- Spend 1 night in Lisbon and explore at your own pace.
Day 11-24 | Lisbon – Funchal, Madeira
- Check out of your hotel in Lisbon and board your transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Funchal, the capital of the autonomous Portuguese island of Madeira. Upon arrival in Funchal, take your transfer to your hotel. Spend 14 nights exploring this amazing island destination.
- Madeira and Porto Santo are part of a group of Portuguese islands in the Atlantic, about 90 minutes from Lisbon, and form Europe’s best island destination due to its climate, culture, hospitality, and proximity to other islands. Madeira was named Europe’s safest destination and Europe’s Leading Island Destination in 2021 by the prestigious World Travel Awards.

- Start your tour in Camacha, a village famous for its wickerwork, then continue to Poiso and Pico do Arieiro, the island’s second-highest peak, to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of its surrounding landscape, featuring rugged mountains and deep valleys. Descend to Ribeiro Frio, with the possibility of taking a 25-minute walk, then head to Faial, a small and picturesque village on the north coast, and continue to Santana, a region known for its unique triangular thatched houses. Explore the culture and traditional aspects of this area, gaining insights into the customs of the local community, with free time for lunch. Make your way back to Funchal, visiting Porta da Cruz, famous for its vineyards and wine production. Continue through Portela and take in the stunning views before ending your tour in Machico, one of Madeira’s oldest towns.

Day 25-26 | Funchal - Lisbon
- After breakfast, take your transfer to the airport for your flight back to Lisbon. Upon arrival in Lisbon, take your transfer to the hotel. Spend the last 2 nights in Lisbon.

- Start the day with a morning sightseeing tour and visit the Belem Tower, the Jeronimos Monastery, the National Coach Museum, and the Alfama and Rossio Quarters. Then, continue on to see the Discoveries Monument and Batalha Monastery. Stop for a coffee break and taste the famous pasteis de Belem.

Day 27 | Return Home
- After breakfast, take your transfer to the airport to board your return flight home to Canada.
