Similarly, the São Miguel Azores are remarkable for their natural beauty and sustainability. Here, visitors can explore natural waterfalls, lagoons in ancient volcano craters, and hot water springs known as "caldeiras", or they can wander along a network of nature trails nearby.

Itinerary

Day 1 | Depart Canada

• Fly to Lisbon.

Day 2-3 | Welcome to Lisbon & Sightseeing

• Upon arrival in Lisbon, take a transfer to your hotel and check in. Spend the rest of the day at leisure exploring.
• Discover Portugal’s capital, known as the City of Seven Hills, where you will find a variety of places to visit, both historical and cultural, such as monuments, museums, and gardens

• Take a morning sightseeing tour to discover Lisbon’s uniqueness. Visit some traditional and historic monuments that pay tribute to the golden era of the Portuguese exploration, and stop at Belém Tower, the Jerónimos Monastery, and the emblematic Ajuda National Palace (entrance included except on Wednesdays). Continue to the Alfama for a walking tour around one of Lisbon’s oldest and most traditional quarters, where Fado music is said to have been born.
•  Full Day Sintra, Cascais & Lisbon Tour, 2026 departures
• A full day of beauty and history tour to Sintra, Cascais, Belém and Lisbon. Leave Lisbon towards the charming town of Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and begin a guided tour of the exterior of the stunning Pena Palace (ticket included), an architectural masterpiece set amongst lush gardens. This visit will include a walk through several of the stunning corners of the Palace's exterior, exploring its enchanting gardens and marveling at the stunning panoramic views offered by the various courtyards and balconies. Visit Sintra´s historic centre and enjoy free time to stroll through the charming and winding streets, to explore the traditional shops or enjoy a delicious lunch (not included) in one of the charming local restaurants. After lunch, continue to Cascais, a charming seaside town where you'll have free time to explore the beach or the historic center. Arriving in Lisbon start with a panoramic tour of Belém , admire the imposing Belém Tower and the symbolic Monument to the Discoveries. Stop off at the grand Jerónimos Monastery and walk to the famous Pastéis de Belém house, for a tasting (included).

Day 4-9 | Lisbon to São Miguel Azores

• Check out of your hotel in Lisbon and transfer to Lisbon airport. Take a two-hour flight from mainland Portugal to São Miguel in the Azores. Then, arrive at Ponta Delgada airport and take an included transfer to your hotel, where you will stay for six nights.

• The Sete Cidades are one of the seven natural wonders of Portugal that showcase the Green and Blue Lakes, which according to legend were formed from the tears of a shepherd and a princess sharing a forbidden love. You will have the opportunity to visit a pineapple plantation and glimpse fascinating landscapes. Bring comfortable and light clothes, closed shoes, a light jacket, sunscreen, a hat, a backpack, some water, and snacks—everything you could possibly need for a half-day excursion.
•  Full-day Furnas Tour (Lunch Included)
• Experience the volcanic origins of Furnas, a magical island full of geothermal activity. Find fumaroles and taste carbonated mineral water as you head off to visit one of the oldest tea plantations in Europe. You will be able to taste the famous Cozido das Furnas, a dish cooked on the hot soil of the island’s volcanic activity. After lunch, see Terra Nostra Park with the possibility of bathing in its thermal pool.
• Entrance is not included. We suggest bringing comfortable light clothes, closed shoes, a light jacket, sunscreen, a hat, a backpack, some water, and snacks. Bring a swimsuit and towel too!

Day 10-11 | São Miguel to Lisbon

• Check out from your hotel and transfer to the Ponta Delgada airport. Check in and board your flight from Ponta Delgada to Lisbon. You’ll arrive at Lisbon Airport and be able to take a transfer to your hotel in the main city.

• A tour to the charming and picturesque town of Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. See the Historic Centre with its medieval streets and typical regional products, then continue to Cascais and Estoril before returning to Lisbon.

Day 12 | Lisbon – Return to Canada

• After breakfast, take a transfer to the airport and board your flight home.
