Itinerary

Day 1 | Depart Canada

• Fly to Porto.

Day 2 | Welcome to Porto & Northern Portugal

• Upon arrival, you will clear customs and meet an Air Canada Vacations representative with your name on it who will you to your hotel transfer for check-in in Porto. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
• Overnight in Porto.

Day 3-4 | Porto Sightseeing

• Spend the next 3 days diving deeper into your discovery of Porto, with plenty of time to discover Portugal’s second-largest city.

•  Half-day Porto city tour (4 hours)
• Make your own way to the meeting point to start on your half-day guided tour of the city. After check-in at the meeting point, start your day with an enchanting walking tour of the city centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire the grand architecture of the Avenida dos Aliados and gaze at the majestic Clérigos Tower. Continue to São Bento Station and learn about its fascinating history as well as the famous tile panels depicting key moments in Portuguese culture and history. Continue up to the Sé Cathedral, one of Porto’s oldest monuments, where you can take a short break to enjoy the views and explore the history of this landmark.
• From there, head to the Fernandina Wall to admire panoramic views over the city, before walking to Praça da Batalha where you will board a minibus. The tour continues in Vila Nova de Gaia, where you’ll enjoy a Port tasting in a traditional wine cellar. You’ll enjoy a guided tour of the cellar and learn about the history and production of this Portuguese treasure, before finishing with a tasting of 3 varieties. As the tour ends, the minibus will return you to the city centre.

Day 5 | Porto to Lisbon

• After breakfast, check-out of your hotel in Porto and board your included transfer to Campanhã Train Station.
• Take the train to Lisbon and travel in First Class for approximately three hours, to Lisbon-Oriente Train Station, where you will make your own way to your hotel.
• Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
• Check-in and accommodation for 4 nights in Lisbon. Spend your time in Lisbon, the vibrant capital of Portugal! A city filled with stunning landmarks, fascinating museums, charming gardens, exquisite dining, historic and religious sites and a thriving cultural scene – perfect for an unforgettable experience.

Day 6-8 | Sightseeing in Lisbon

• Spend the next 3 days exploring Lisbon, the vibrant capital of Portugal. The city is filled with stunning landmarks, fascinating museums, charming gardens, exquisite dining and a wealth of historic and religious sites for you to explore.
