Itinerary
Day 1 |Depart Canada
Day 2-3 | Welcome to Lisbon
- Upon arrival in Lisbon, take a transfer to your hotel and check in for the next 2 nights. Spend the rest of the day at leisure exploring your surroundings.
- Steeped in history and authenticity, Lisbon is a city where ancient traditions coexist with modern creativity. Visitors can wander through narrow, cobbled streets in Alfama, admire the city's distinctive tiled facades or explore UNESCO World Heritage Sites like the Jerónimos Monastery and the Belém Tower.

- Enjoy a full day of beauty and history as you tour Sintra, Cascais, Belém and Lisbon. Depart from Lisbon and head towards the charming town of Sintra (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), where you will commence a guided tour of the exterior of the stunning Pena Palace (ticket included), an architectural masterpiece set amongst lush gardens. This visit will include a walk through several of the corners of the Palace's exterior, exploring its enchanting gardens and marvelling at the panoramic views offered by the various courtyards and balconies. You’ll then visit Sintra´s historic centre and enjoy some free time strolling through winding streets to explore the traditional shops or enjoy a delicious lunch (not included) at one of the local restaurants. After lunch, you’ll continue to Cascais, a picturesque seaside town where you'll have free time to explore the beach or the historic center. Once you return to Lisbon, you’ll start with a panoramic tour of Belém, where you can admire the imposing Belém Tower and the symbolic Monument to the Discoveries. Stop off at the grand Jerónimos Monastery and walk to the famous Pastéis de Belém house, for a tasting (included). The tour ends with an exploration of Lisbon's city center, providing engaging explanations while taking in Lisbon's emblematic landmarks such as the Estrela neighbourhood, the São Pedro Alcântara viewpoint, Cais do Sodré, Avenida da Ribeira das Naus, Praça do Comércio, Largo Camões, Rossio and Restauradores.

Day 4-7 | Lisbon – Funchal, Madeira
- Today, you check out from your hotel in Lisbon and transfer to Lisbon Airport, where you’ll take a 90-minute flight from mainland Portugal to Funchal, Madeira. After your arrival at the Funchal Airport, you’ll take an included transfer to your hotel, where you’ll be staying for the next 4 nights.

A haven of lush forests, dramatic coastlines and welcoming locals, Madeira promises an unforgettable experience like no other in Europe.

- Leave Funchal and head towards Camacha, a village famous for its wickerwork. Continue your journey to Poiso and Pico do Arieiro, the second-highest peak on the island. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes, including rugged mountains and deep valleys. Descend to Ribeiro Frio with the possibility of taking a 25-minute walk. Head to Faial, a small and picturesque village on the north coast and continue to Santana, a region known for its unique triangular-shaped thatched houses. Explore the cultural and traditional aspects of this area, gain insights into the customs of the local community and enjoy some free time for lunch. Make your way back to Funchal, visiting Porto da Cruz, known for its vineyards and wine production. Continue on through the scenic Portela to arrive at the historic town of Machico, one of the oldest towns in Madeira, filled with stunning viewpoints (make your own way to meeting & drop off points, lunch not included).

Day 8-11 | Funchal – Ponta Delgada
- Check out of your hotel and transfer to Funchal Airport. Then, fly from Funchal to Ponta Delgada. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Ponta Delgada and enjoy the next 4 nights.

- The tour begins with a visit to a pineapple plantation to see the fruit’s growth stages and taste its liqueur. You’ll then head to Pico do Carvão for panoramic views of São Miguel’s north and south coasts. Next, you’ll stop at Lagoa das Sete Cidades and visit Lagoa de Santiago on the way to the Vista do Rei viewpoint for a stunning view of the volcanic crater. After lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll continue to Pico da Barrosa with a stop at the Lagoa do Fogo viewpoint. The tour ends with a walk through Ribeira Grande’s historic centre, where you can admire local architecture and sample traditional liqueurs (make your own way to the meeting & drop off points, lunch is included).

- Check out of your hotel and transfer to Ponta Delgada Airport en route to Lisbon. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for the next 2 nights.
