Top notch as expected from Westin, big potential for long walks but shuttles always available very quiet in Aug /sept staff amazing food good at buffet but restaurants top notch. Golf quite expensive factoring exchange rate so we skipped.. lots of animals on resort .. that was great Recommended

We had an excellent week stay at the Westin Cozumel. Drinks are varied and not watered down with excellent service an attentive staff. Tip: bring a reusable straw. The food was great though could present limited options. Breakfast buffet style overlooking turquoise water. Lunch had two options while supper would alternate everynight between the two main restaurants. Room service is also available. FYI - If you are not a seafood lover, it eliminates half the menus. This is a hotel stay as opposed to resort style though we were surprised to see live music over the weekend in the lobby. The snorkelling is awesome right from the beach. Some folks indicated that the beach snorkelling was better than the excursions. Neibouring resort beaches were unswimmable. After a full day of beach or pool, you can relax at the adults-only rooftop pool and terrace to cool off in the shade or get those last rays of sunshine before dinner. For those that haven't experienced the "Westin Heavenly Bed", you'll sleep like a baby. This provided a much needed relaxing holiday. Jodi and Frank

Very clean, comfortable rooms, very friendly staff, workers and waiters. Always ready to help. Smiling and very polite. Lots of good food and drinks. The swimming pools are clean. Workers clean the pools a few times a day. The entrance and lobby very elegant. Nice comfortable furniture. Just a pleasure to be there. Beautiful view from the windows. Thank you ? Thank you ?

The hotel is clean and very nice. The À la carte restaurants very very good especially the Asian. The buffet is not great with not much variety and is very small to accommodate the early morning rush seemed disorganized. No one really comes to serve coffee etc during breakfast. It’s really a help yourself situation. The hotel advertises 2 buffet areas but there was only ever one open. The pool area was great and there was never an issue getting lounge chairs or towels. BUT keep in mind d this is a hotel and conference center. So there is a mix of vacationers and people attending meetings. We found they do not cater to the all inclusive guests compared to other resort as there seemed to be a bit of mix communication with what is included as example coffee bar - you can get a coffee but the cakes and treats are not included? The over all hotel was nice and clean but again it is not a typical resort style being a Westin conference center. Also this resort is 90+ minutes from the airport and could be much longer with traffic. The location of the hotel was great to grab an uber and head into Panama City which we did a couple times and was amazing!

I stayed here Nov 8-15 2025 and wanted to share my experience. First off the hotel has a grand entrance and looks fabulous. Front desk staff were good at getting me checked in with little time wasted. Room was good until I saw the mold in my shower and either mold or dirty around the AC vent. Not typical of Westin hotels. I paid for an all inclusive but not everything was included. Seemed like they had different levels of all Inclusive. Only 2 restaurants to use my Al la carte coupons for. The other ones I had to pay out of pocket. Also the desserts at the coffee shop were not included so if you wanted that you had to pay out of pocket aswell. Buffet had little choices and not very flavourful. This is not your typical all inclusive resort. Swim up bar was open twice my whole week and staff around the pool to order drinks from were never around. Nice looking hotel but definitely not a regular all Inclusive resort.

I stayed at The Westin Playa Conchal Resort in November 2024 with a group of ten friends, and our experience was excellent. The service and hospitality exceeded our expectations. I recently stayed at The Westin Reserva Conchal and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this resort. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by how beautifully maintained the property is—lush greenery, stunning wildlife, and a peaceful atmosphere everywhere you go. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The beds were heavenly, and I always woke up refreshed and ready to enjoy the day. The food and drinks exceeded my expectations for an all-inclusive. There was a wide variety of options at every restaurant, and everything I tried was delicious. Service was attentive and friendly—staff truly went above and beyond to make sure guests felt welcome and cared for. The pool and beach areas were incredible. The pool is huge and relaxing, while the beach at Playa Conchal is simply breathtaking—soft sand, warm water, and plenty of space to unwind. It felt like a tropical paradise. Was a wonderful stay, our premium one bedroom suite was well appointed with very stylish and comfortable furniture. Our Kitchenette was well equipped with stove, cook top, full size microwave and dishwasher as well as a large space saver fridge. The bed was comfortable and there was lots of space. The facilities were spotless and the staff were very friendly and helpful. This property is located right at Whistler village and literally steps from some of the best dining experiences we have ever had. You must go have breakfast at the Cinnamon Bear. The steak and eggs are to die for. Also a great spot is Earls Bar and Grill. If you’re looking for something very affordable and great quality be sure check out El Furniture Warehouse bar and grill. As for the shopping your choices are endless with affordable and luxury options galore. The Westin offers the whole package ! I highly recommend it.

The location is unbeatable and the staffs are friendly. The room was cosy but the bathroom a bit outdated. We had an issue with the toilet and it was rapidly fixed. We tried the seaport social restaurant, Stacy, our waitress offered exceptionnal service.

This is a beautiful modern high rise hotel with amazing service. It is a quiet hotel suitable for seniors, although there were young families as well. No loud music or partiers here so you can relax! The three restaurants had excellent food. We enjoyed both the main pool and the one on the roof top which is adults only. There were umbrellas on the beach but it was quite windy so they were removed part of the time. We suggest some permanent structures be built for shade. You can snorkel just a few feet from the shore and see many different fish. However, if you like to take long walks on the beach Cozumel may not be the place for you as it is very rocky. There is a small sandy area in front of this hotel where you can enter the water. We would come back again and recommend to our friends!

The hotel, rated five stars, does not truly meet expectations; at best, it deserves a four-star rating. The location is good, situated right on the beach. However, cleanliness is a concern: plastic caps, cans, and other trash are scattered around, indicating the beach is not cleaned regularly. The swimming pool also appeared dirty due to debris brought in from the patchy grassy areas surrounding it. The all-inclusive option does not cover all restaurants. At the coffee shop, we were told on the first day that only coffee and ice cream were included—not pastries. Two days later, ice cream was no longer included, and on the third day, we were informed that the coffee shop wasn’t part of the all-inclusive package at all. This inconsistent information was both confusing and frustrating. At the Starfish Grill à la carte restaurant, we reserved a table for dinner, but the manager insisted we had to pay. The front desk confirmed that the restaurant was included in our package, but we got the impression the manager was trying to take advantage of us. It’s hard to believe he didn’t know the restaurant was part of the all-inclusive plan. The TV in our room didn’t work, and we repeatedly asked the front desk to have it fixed over six days. Initially, they neglected to mention that we needed to be present when maintenance came. Even when we stayed in the room waiting, no one showed up. The bathroom sink was another issue; it took four days of daily complaints before maintenance finally resolved the problem. Although the hotel has some redeeming qualities, the overall experience was disappointing and far from what one expects from a five-star establishment.

What stands out most about this hotel is the excellent service that we encountered from all the employees. The room had a nice balcony. The bed was very comfortable. We found both pools very cold, but the ocean was lovely and warm. The staff made a concerted effort of ensuring my husband had gluten free food. The food was good. We plan to return.

We had great ocean view rooms which looked out over the entry to the Panama canal which we could see in the distance. Rooms were large and cleaned daily with refreshed towel and bathroom soaps, shampoo etc. Our package included 3 a la carte restaurants and we loved the steak house which we visited twice it was so good! The Asian food a la carte was only so-so. Otherwise we ate in the buffet which had good breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Drinks were typical of any all-inclusive and plentiful as required!! The beach was lovely when the tide was in, however, it goes out a long way and uncovers rocks and mangrove swamp which did make interesting rock pools. There are a variety of pools from quiet to busy with daily activities. We made good use of all of them! We visited with relatives from the UK and they loved the place! All-inclusive resorts are very uncommon or expensive in Europe and it was cheaper for them to fly to Canada and then to Panama than to book directly from London. There are lots of local tours to enjoy, but be prepared to get up early since most require a trip over the Bridge of the Americas which is VERY busy later in the day.

Resort was very clean. Food was awesome although the a la carte menus were not open every night. The steakhouse steaks were delicious! If you are looking for a resort to party at this is not the place. It seemed to attract an older crowd. It was easy to get back and forth to the city which we did a few times. Staff were very friendly but there is a big language barrier. There were quite a few weddings going on during our stay. I would recommend this resort if you are looking for a relaxing vacation. If you are wanting to swim in the ocean this resort is not the place.

We spent a week at Westin Playa Bonita, Panama. The facility is great, clean and organized and staff are friendly. I rate it as 5/5 for the amenities, service and facility. However, I have a a number of comments and suggestions: 1. There were no entertainment activities or performance shows for guests, particularly at night. I suggest management should look into this. 2. Wifi signal in the pool and beach areas were terrible. With a beautiful scenery, it should be proudly shared with guests’ family members and friends. But terrible signal made this impossible. I would think that this is an excellent opportunity to advertise the facility without spending a dollar. Having a better wifi signal would allow guests to show the beauty of the facility. 3. In term of excursions, there was not enough info about other attractions besides those presented at the hotel. For example, red bus hop on hop off bus tour, etc. 4. Regarding Sunwing - we did not understand why Sunwing picked Rio Hato airport which is 2 hours away from the resort instead of one that is closer to Westin, e.g., Tocumen International Airport. With bad traffic, transportation to the resort could take up to 4 hours. Overall. I would rate this vacation package 3.5 out of 5.

Limited activities for guests, noisy locals always in pool, TV didn't work, telephone didn’t work, constant power outages, the.best tasting food was the salads, I’ve had my experience with rundown hotels but this one takes the cake.

We recently returned from this resort and cannot say enough about the great quality of the food, accommodations, service and surroundings. The weather was a bit windy but a welcome relief from the heat. The beach was clean and water a beautiful temperature. Vendors selling their wares kept a very respectful distance so we didn’t feel like we were being overwhelmed. Although we had a flight delay on our last day our concierge went above and beyond to arrange our shuttle to the airport. All that said we are already planning our return trip to beautiful Costa Rica.

We were travelling from Toronto and we booked this hotel because we wanted a hotel close to the Immigration Museum. We were pleasantly surprised that it was walking distant to great restaurants and shopping. The hotel itself was clean and tidy. The staff was very helpful with our questions. Would definitely stay there again

Great resort with the best service from concierge to pool staff. Every staff member we encountered were always asking if we needed anything. Rooms in the towers are a little outdated but understand they are renovating this summer. Grounds are beautiful with lots of wildlife. Food at this resort was average for all inclusive. Definitely need more lighting on the walkways around resort.

Great hotel with amazing snorkeling! Nice and close to the airport so you aren’t spending a lot of time travelling. Close to town, about a 5km walk, or a short bike ride. Don’t expect a great beach, Cozumel is not a beach island, it is a snorkeling and diving spot. Very safe to go into town and walk around. Rent A Bike Cozumel is a great business to rent bikes from if you want to cycle. Again very safe for that as well! Adult pool on the top floor is great!

Grounds are little limited with no palapas but well maintened. Rooms with stunning view were well maintened, public areas clean, food and drinks were great. Staff and service were outstanding. Will be likely back at some point.

This hotel was disappointing. Here's my feedback: transfer to hotel did not have my name on so I had to wait for 30 minutes to get services; buffet closed twice during my stay with no communication; food was not good (i.e., birds pecked holes in buns); pool servers did not bring bottled water when asked (had to confront them to get service); water main broke and staff had to take water from the pool to flush toilets for a whole day; adult pool is cold and takes until noon to get to a somewhat alright temperature, plus is only 5' deep; lots of howler monkeys and iguanas around the hotel/pool area which also means there's poop on walkways; poor beach access as there's a stone wall at the beach area; one opening to walk to the beach but no service/lounge chairs unless you ask, then the locals try selling you everything possible; during my 2nd week, the room above me was occupied by a bride who used the room as 'control central' and was so noisy after a few days that I had to be relocated to another room; mini bar and coffee was often left unstocked; and someone was smoking nearby which was noticed in both rooms that I occupied. Go to another resort as this one needs much better management and services. :(

The staff, grounds and restaurants were all fantastic. Our rooms were very clean and close to the beach. I would definitely recommend this resort especially for families with small children….the staff at the Kids Club were amazing!

Loved this amazing resort. From check in to checkout it was perfect. The staff are very friendly. Food was excellent with lots of variety. The grounds are so beautiful with many pools including a quiet adults only area if you prefer. We didn’t use the beach, it’s very rocky.

We love Costa Rica for the people, the weather and the natural beauty. The Westin gives us all this plus the comfort of an excellent resort. I find the golf course beautiful yet challenging.This is our go to in December and January.

This was our first trip to Costa Rica and I can not wait to go back! The resort is beautiful, the people are beautiful, EVERYTHING is beautiful. For those of you who want details, we have no complaints but for those who might... 1. The Resort: The Westin is about an hour from the airport but the drive is scenic and the roads aren't too rough, some twisty roads and curves up and down the mountain though. The resort is on the larger-side but there is a regular shuttle system. We walked everywhere on the resort to take in the scenery. We didn't go in the pool but it looked like a great spot to hang out as well. The BEST part of the resort is all the lush agriculture and wildlife that you will get to see up close and personal! We saw monkeys, iguanas, cranes, chipmunks, armadillos and many different species of fish, birds, butterflies etc. etc. etc. It was just amazing. 2. The food: We LOVED the food and we are vegetarian/vegan. There are plenty of food options for meat-eaters but we really appreciated the freshness and health-conscious preparation of the food. The fresh fish was great and we also appreciated the unlimited reservations and a la carte food options. 3. The beach: We went to the beach and into the water everyday. Apart from occasional panhandlers, the white sand/shell beach is very serene and beautiful 4. The staff: We have been to Cuba, Mexico and Dominican Republic and what we appreciated about Costa Rica is their ability to communicate almost flawlessly from Spanish to English. The staff was also very pleasant and courteous. 5. The room: We stayed in a Deluxe Junior Suite and we loved the interior design and decoration in the room. Very Feng shui. The only complaint would be that the adjoining wall/door is thin so you can hear EVERYTHING next door. Nothing the T.V. couldn't mask though. It was only my husband and I (ages 38 & 45, married 12 years) this time around but we intend to return with our children (ages ranging from 5-19). This resort has set a new standard for our travels! Thank you for a great experience!

Food and service was excellent. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff friendly and attentive. However, the hotel provides no beach chairs. No security on beach. Many pick pockets in Costa Rica. Few designated smoking areas which were poorly lit. Pool was poorly lit at night. Hard compact sand and murky waters. Bring lots of $$$ everything on resort is expensive.For example $16 USD for a small coffee cup. In addition, the hotel is under staffed. Long check in times. Bring your own steak knife. None of the restaurants provided me with a steak knife for my steak dinner.

Hotel very good and fashion designed with big and nice room. Outside area and pool area very beautiful but beach and especially water in ocean is offal and it is not possible to swim at all. Service in generally is OK. At evening, there is not any place for entertainment except one bar with watching sport game in Spanish .So, this hotel is good for short stay not like for all inclusive 7 days vacation.

Good food, very good service, well located close to everything around Panama City. Great pools though you can't really go swimming in the ocean - too murky. Nice stretch of beach for walks. Can watch the ships lining up to enter the canal.

The hotel staff at registration were knowledgeable and friendly making the process go smooth and quick. The rooms are clean, well appointed and quiet. The hotel restaurant, the Shore Club, had excellent food. We wanted to heat some snacks up in the room and a microwave was sent up. The location is excellent for getting to museums, good restaurants, the market and shopping. Didn't get a chance to use the pool, but it looked inviting.

The Hotel was so clean and staff couldn’t do enough for you! I had no idea the service industry could be this amazing! There was not one thing that could be improved upon! And the adjoining mall was fantastic - gotta love Tiffany’s!

Very satisfied with this hotel. Wasn't the greatest for laying on the beach/swimming in the ocean (low tide), but multiple pools with sufficient seating made up for it. The resort is very well maintained, facilities are nice and clean, rooms were spacious, and the food at both the buffet and a la carte restaurants were excellent. The view of ships lining up in the ocean for the Panama Canal was also pretty spectacular.

The hotel is lovely with a contemporary style. It caters mostly to conferences, it’s quiet with no entertainment only a bar and a lounge to sit and socialize in. When we booked an all inclusive package we were not aware that they offered “standard” and “premium” packages. This is not offered on Trip Central and we were disappointed that we did not have an in room mini bar as well as a la carte dining vouchers. After complaining we did get 3 a la carte vouchers and were able to keep the mini fridge in our room for pop & water after staff attempted to remove it. Also we booked this trip 8 months in advance requesting to be adjoining or close to our friends. Upon arrival they placed us on separate floors and made no attempt to honour our request. The hotel was not fully booked during the week, locals book up the hotel on the weekends filling up the buffet restaurants where we had to be sent to a secondary location with the same buffet and crowding the pool areas. The beach was nice with lots of beautiful shells, we did not swim or kayak in the ocean because of the frequent tide changes throughout the day, rocks and dirty water due to the ships being close entering the Panama Canal. Our friend one day got trapped in the elevator for 30 minutes, she kept ringing the emergency button as there was no speaker system in the elevator so someone could let her know it was being fixed. When she was finally assisted out of the elevator she was very distressed and in tears. The manager only offered her a bottled water and asked if she needed medical assistance. She was distressed the remainder of the day, no one approached her to ask how she was feeling. Her travel partner complained several times at the front desk for compensation finally receiving a 20 minute massage the following day at the spa. A couple we met went to book their anniversary dinner at the steak house a la carte and was unable to do so as they closed that restaurant for that evening for a private group upsetting them both. We spoke to many couples who booked the same package as us paying approximately over $2000 per person not expecting a standard package and disappointed that we had to pay extra for premium alcohol such as Bailey’s, Smirnoff, etc. The excursions were great and we enjoyed them. It was cheaper to book through the concierge desk with local tour companies. Due to no entertainment or shows in the evenings it was boring with nothing to do. We did expect a higher standard of service that’s why we chose The Westin along with its location being close to tourist areas. The entrance grounds were not kept up, no gardens at the entrance. Hallway walls were beat up and railing dismantled in one elevator with sharp edge. It’s best to book ocean view because in forest view rooms there are lots of mosquitos that will come into your room which ate up a guests legs after one night. This guest was extremely upset with all the bites on both legs only receiving cream from staff to apply. The buffets were ok with themed dinners. The steak and Asian a la carte restaurants were fabulous! Overall we were not happy with the service at The Westin Playa Bonita and will not return or recommend this hotel. We made the most of it, enjoyed our excursions and the pool. We’ve stayed at Riu’s for the same price and had premium packages with exceptional customer service. Unfortunately we were all disappointed with our stay and the poor level of service received.

This resort is absolutely beautiful with lots of plants/trees/foilage/wildlife (monkeys, iguanas, etc.) All staff were very pleasant and helpful. Awesome service at the pool bar. The pool itself is huge! The food is very good at the buffet and the specialty restaurants although we did not care for the Latin food (found it quite bland). Our favourite was the Mediterranian restaurant.......amazing Bruschetta! The only down sides are that the beach is public (I believe all beaches are public in Costa Rica) so there are no beach chairs. We just brought our towels and used those to lay on. The actual beach itself is quite nice. Also, I got bit a lot at this resort by various bugs (I seemed to be the only one out of our group of 4). Bring bug spray if you are sensitive to bug bites. There is a small town down the beach (about 1.5 km walk) called Brasilito where we went and had lunch at a nice little restaurant just off the beach and did some souvenir shopping. We found the prices were about half the price here as they were at the resort. All in all we loved this resort and Costa Rica itself!

The room had a view of both the ocean and the volcano. The restaurant was clean and the food was delicious. The grounds were beautiful. Hotel staff were helpful and accommodating. Very enjoyable visit.

Exceptional service at check in . Great location, close to everything. Workout room well equipped. Nice to have patio off of pool area. Nice place to relax in the summer. Bike rental option was a plus.

The room we took was a partial view of the ocean room 593 but we had a spectacular view of Waikiki Beach and surrounding hotels. The rooms and balcony were just right for 2 people. Everyone is friendly, helpful and anxious to please. My mother and I stayed there for a week. The food in the dining areas are a bit pricey but good and plentiful. There are other restaurants nearby more reasonably priced for inexpensive dining, breakfast or lunch. I hope to come back to Hawaii again only in November next time when the trade winds and surfing competitions are on. We came in April had lovely weather at Waikiki Beach. How would I rate this hotel, 5 star all the way. By the way we booked with tripcentrall.ca and got an excellent package deal.

It was a nice stay but not as expected. Pros: good location. Nice views. Friendly staff. Large room. Nice room. Large and beautiful swimming pools. Cons: hotel lacks maintenance and cleanliness, such as broekn chairs in the back yard, lack of painting here and there... Breakfast for seven days was exactly the same with no variety and few choices. Breakfast restaurant seemed to be too small for the size of the hotel. We had to wait for 10-15 minutes almost everyday to be seated. Evening restaurant’s menu was so expensive so we decid d to eat elsewhere. No information wahtsoever or printed pamphlets about places of interests in the city and its surrounding.

My Boyfriend and I traveled to the Westin the last week of February and it was an excellent week! Beyond the fabulous weather this resort delivered exceptional service, Great golf course and good food. Our favourite restaurants were Bamboo and the French one. We stayed in tower two in the Beach Club which also offered 24 hour room and concierge service and no additional charge! My only recommendation would be that the Westin change up their buffett a little more for breakfast and lunch. Although this resort has very little night life I definitely would return.

The hotel is beautiful and large. Room was unbelievable! Ocean view and a king size bed. Great service. Food was great and the restaurants were very good. Best creme brûlée I’ve ever had at the steak house. Pools are large and lots of lounges. Never felt crowded. The New Years party was outstanding! What a spread! Incredible atmosphere and the food was out of this world. I really enjoyed myself. It’s a quiet resort. Don’t go expecting lots of nightlife go to Panama City for that. Loved my stay and it was exactly what I needed!

Awesome hotel and service! The location is great, right downtown, attached to the Rideau centre, and very close to Parliament. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Loved our stay at the Westin Ottawa.

We booked thru trip advisor and we were really excited as it was for our 20th wedding anniversary. We booked a king room with fridge and microwave. We had contacted the hotel and made sure that if we paid in full with tripcentral before we arrive there would be no other fees. Upon arrival the hotel looked fantastic ! It's big clean and beautiful. Concerige helpful perfect location to go anywhere. However we did not get a fridge or microwave and we were told we had to pay $25 US per day for a destination fee. This seems like a scam but they say it's mandatory in NYC ?? They should advertise this on tripcentral when we book that we will have to pay extra fees in $US upon check out.

The hotel itself was clean, grounds well kept. As an all inclusive there was not much choice for food other than buffet three times a day. Had I known that the a la carte restaurants were not included I would have gone somewhere else. That was not specified anywhere prior to booking. It gets very boring eating at the buffet three times a day for 7 days.

It took us a couple days to figure out where we are and what direction to walk the beach/pool in this big place. The good news is that rides to your destination were readily available. I would not say the place is perfect, but the rooms were decent food was very good and the staff extremely friendly. Golf was good as well albeit a lot of the traps were being revamped and void of sand.

Hotel was amazing! The Service was excellent. Also room very spacious. The dining was to die for! We where right in the middle of Times Square perfect for shopping and site viewing... And the late night dessert @ Carlos Bakery...

the staff at the Westin was amazing. Hotel was amazing. I am going back staying at the Westin for sure! Loved it!Clean clean rooms, bed soft and felt like home. Im a new Westin fan 100%Thank you for everything u did foe us!

Staff and facilities were great. Good food with themes each night. More relaxed feel... no nightly shows (not something we ever went to anyway). Some activities available (like aqua-fit and bingo - nice that the entertainment staff did not push for participation). There was always music in the bar in the evenings. Rooms were large and clean, would have been nice to have some drawers for clothes (even more shelving in the closets to put clothes on would have helped). Multiple pools available with lots of seating and sun or shaded areas. Nice to be served at the pool rather than having to go to the bar. Beach: Lots of shells on the beach but limited swimming time - needed to be close to high tide to be able to swim and when low tide the view was rocky/muddy. Other: Lots of shoreline birds and saw 3 toed sloths. Resort is close to Panama city but rather isolated (no public transportation available). Good in that beach was private and no one trying to sell anything. Depending on which airport used, drive to resort would be either less than an hour (Panama City airport) or 2 hours (other airport).

Lovely hotel, lovely grounds. Great pool staff. This is NOT an all inclusive. For once would like to go to an all inclusive where you didn't have to continuously reach into your pocket!!!!! Food was ok, but the staff need to be educated on how to serve one course at a time and not altogether!

We stayed at the Royal Beach club, which is the adult section of this great resort. The rooms are very large, and well appointed. The grounds are beautiful. The staff are amazing. Well trained, polite, and cannot do enough for you. The only negative, is that the food could be better. There is plenty of selection, but they need new chefs. Also, the servers need to be better trained. They tend to bring all the courses at the same time.

What can I say, this is a Westin. There were a few small glitches during our stay but the staff was VERY accommodating. Overall I would rate this property a 4+. It's not in the Sandals category, but neither is the price. If there is a single issue, it's that this is first and foremost a hotel. That means there is a mix of package holiday guests, local guests, and conventioneers. At times the "locals" seemed to take over and at times the convention crowd did. The location was fabulous, just minutes from Panama city over looking the entrance to the Canal. To sum it up, we would stay there again.........

Great Hotel and superb service. We had an ocean view room with a breathtaking view of the bay and the ships waiting at the Canal. Food was good, but not to the standards that we have seen in some of the 5 star beach resorts. The key issue is the beach which does not compare to the Caribbean beaches, and the water is not very clean considering large quantity of ships anchored nearby. Also on the beach as sand flies which are terrible particularly in morning and evening.

This was my second time at the Westin Playa Conchal within 1 year. My husbands' first time and from the minute we arrived he couldn't stop raving. Special thanks to Stephanie at the front desk. The hotel is on a reserve and from the moment you arrive you experience the best that Costa Rica has to offer. From Howler monkies to Magpie Blue Jays it is like being in a wonderland of wildlife. The hotel staff are wonderful and accomodating. The food is diverse and delicious along with a beautiful presentation. The resort offers a variety of day trips, sports, water excercises and a variety of daytime recreation if you are so inclined. The pool is warm and wonderful with a swim up bar. The rooms are large and clean in bungalow configurations that allow the guests to feel like they are at resort that is both indicative of the country and as comfortable as being at home. In a nutshell we loved and now want to go back with our whole family.

This hotel meets what I expected in terms of the Westin quality - high quality bedding, good food, and courteous service. The hotel is located about 30 minutes away from the city without traffic. I would stay in this hotel again when I visit Panama in the future. All staffs speaking good enough English. Very good concierge service during my stay.

The service at this hotel was top-notched compared to all the other Caribbean hotels I have been to in the past - Riu, Barcelo, Dreams etc. From the front desk staffs to servers at the pool side, everyone has been helpful and very responsive. The pools were kept clean throughout the week. The quality of food was above average and beds as per the Westin standard were very comfortable. It is located close enough to the Panama city to enjoy. A cab or an Uber ride was $10 one way, which I thought was very reasonable. Overall, I was satisfied for this hotel.

Couldn't ask for anything better - enjoyed the entire experience 😍😍🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾Everyone was friendly and helpful and went over and above to make our stay out of this world‼️‼️‼️‼️Would love to return in the future to do things we didn't have time for.

The resort is amazing and a true 5 star. Absolutely spotless. The beach is beautiful but not really swimmable. The staff bend over backwards to assist you. Excursions are very costly. Recommend the updated all inclusive package. Pools are gorgeous and overlook the ocean. You can see the ships lining up for the Panama Canal.

This is a very nice and new hotel, grand lobby and all the staffs are trying their best to please. However, most of the staff do not speak English. Do not expect anything good from the beach though, if you are a beach person then you will not be impress with the beach at all. Overall a very nice experience and WiFi works everywhere including at the beach. Location is close enough to Panama city. I would recommend it if you have never been to Panama before.

The attentiveness and positive attitude of the staff made our stay very enjoyable. The restaurants offered excellent variety and foods with great service. At the Royal Beach Club pool, we enjoyed relaxing with wonderful service. All requests were addressed as soon as possible with enthusiasm. Regarding the wheelchair accessible room, it could use grab bars in the shower and the walk in closet is not accessible by wheelchair at all. The walkways/ driveways are not conducive to smooth rolling of wheelchair casters. The office building for the Royal beach Club did not have ramped access and the doors are small and heavy to open from the wheelchair without assistance.

Exceptional food,service-no complaints I don't know what you expect me to say as I have no complaints except having to type a long review I hate typing and it takes me forever I discovered the dirty monkey drink and the bartender at the main lobby as were leaving on sat dec 3 @11:00 did an amazing artistic touch with a chocolate picture on the top of our drinks! This resort was awesome - the staff were all very friendly, cheerful and courteous. Food was amazing and at every location I ate at. There was ample to do and the best part of all was that it was not yet crowded at the end of November- beginning of December.

Overall a very good resort. Beach not as nice as many resorts and pools were a little cool for old folks like me. The meals were amazing. Taste, selection, presentation, service, all exceptional and 5 Star IMO. Beautiful grounds and constant maintenance and enhancement going on. Exceedingly friendly staff at every contact point. Off site excursion program very well organized. It is far from some of the real features of Costa Rica though but wonderful for a high end vacation experience.

This was a 40th year reunion for a group veterinarians and included 40 people. All were accommodated in close proximity in an adult only area which was perfect. Because this was shoulder season the resort was never too busy or overcrowded. The staff were friendly and attentive and very helpful with just about everything. The golf course was in reasonable shape given there was a hurricane the week before. Green fees were discounted because of that which was a bonus. Excursions were available for zip lining, a river cruise, trips into Liberia and even to Nicaragua. A sunset Catamaran cruise with snorkeling and other water activities was great. Driving time to off site activities was at least 1 hour. The beach is near by and provided opportunities for snorkeling, bicycle and horse back riding. The food was exceptional in each and every restaurant. It was the perfect getaway for catching up.

Rather than repeat what everyone says about a great five star all inclusive as my title says it all, I'll make only a few observations. I went with a group of 38, one of whom was in a wheelchair. He travels frequently and said he'd never been to a hotel that was more sensitive and accommodating to his needs with the one small exception that the shower lacked grab bars. They found a chair for him instead. I've been to other hotels with a Royal Beach club equivalent and would recommend using that option if you appreciate a quieter pool, pleasant, non intrusive music playlist, and a very nice spot for breakfast and lunch nearby ie. the Faisanella. If you'd like a delicious burger and GREAT fries or a pizza, order ahead at the bar right at the pool and eat from your lounge chair. There is a bit of a wait as it comes from another kitchen so enjoy a Dirty Monkey in the meantime. Their Clubhouse could be improved upon with a dedicated private bar rather than someone disappearing into the back and improving the lighting and seating arrangement. You can get drinks there but the atmosphere is a bit lacking IMO, compared to other private clubhouses I've seen elsewhere. We'd take our drinks in the evening to the small patio outside which was candlelight and very pleasant. Our favourite evening bar was the Imperial bar where live music and the fire/ fountain made for a fun atmosphere. Our entire group thought it was a terrific resort and wonderful holiday.

Everything met or exceeded expectations. We enjoyed the bus ride to the resort, learning about the socio-economic conditions in Costa Rica from our tour guide and actually arriving within one hour as were were told. Driving through the gates to the resort was like stepping into a new world. We had expected the grounds to be tossed after Hurricane Otto had passed to the north just the day before arrival. We were greeted with lush and well- cared for landscaping and everything clean and well presented. We were guests of the Royal Beach Club and enjoyed the concierge service, private guest pool, restaurant and service always with a smile and genuine concern for our enjoyment and comfort. The staff were terrific. I found it very personal when most staff made a point of knowing my name - making the stay very welcome. I was impressed. The staff went out of there way to make our stay enjoyable and always were willing to share the location of a large group of Howler Monkeys. On more than one occasion, the trolley drivers stopped beside as we were walking, to ask if we wanted to see the monkeys. We simply jumped aboard and enjoyed the monkey antics and when we were steady, they took us to our original destination. Service above and beyond. As part of a group of 38 persons celebrating a class reunion, the resort was accommodating to our requests to have two special group dinners during our stay. Not an easy task to manage this size group but they made it enjoyable. My wife and I relished every meal we had at the various restaurants. On several occasions we had reservations that needed adjustment as friends wanted to join our table or we were invited to join others. The staff were wonderful to simply say, " Yes, we can do that." My personal favourite was the lamb skewers at the Mediterranean Restaurant. Best lamb ever. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable. In fact, every washroom on the property was presentable and clean, whether it was first thing in the morning or after late night cocktails and entertainment at The Imperial Bar! I was impressed with everything about our vacation. Pura Vida!

We recently returned from this resort for a stay between Nov. 6-12 and must say it's a great resort. Takes ~ 1.5 hours to get to the resort. Very large resort but doesn't take long to walk from the furthest bungalows to the pool, restaurants, etc. They also have little passenger transports to take people from place to place, either hop on one as they're heading by or a phone call to pick you up works too! Staff members are great & super friendly. All grounds are kept in great condition. They have 6 a la carte restaurants of which we got to 5 of them. All fairly good and a number of vegetarian options on all menus. Mediterranean and Japanese were our favorites. Portion sizes vary at restaurants so sometimes it's hard to say how much to order. The buffet was also good - usually lots of variety for lunch. Breakfast was standard and good each day. The pool is huge! Some days it was cleaner than others, a couple days it was quite dirty looking - should probably have a couple staff cleaning 1 - 2 times a day. They have a beach but very few lounge chairs out - not sure if it's a "resort property" beach or not as lots of locals and vendors are out there. Always had security at the entrance/exit to beach but locals are quite friendly. Pool service was hit and miss. Some days they'd have a person getting drink orders, other days nobody. Could definitely use another person or two. Could've used 1 more bar by the pool, sometimes it got a bit busy but never waited more than a couple minutes. Lobby bar closes fairly early but I suppose with only 1 restaurant to serve it doesn't make sense to keep it open after the restaurant closes. They do have a late night bar with live music and DJ's every night. Lots of indoor seating with TV's for sports, but could used more outdoor seating. It can get quite busy but is a nice way to wrap up your day. Overall I would recommend this resort. Would go back but likely not often as the "bang for the buck" is quite as good as Mexico or other destinations that may be closer to home.

Excellent service, clean rooms and friendly staff. Concierge and hotel security were very helpful and had great tips for touring and transportation. There were 3 of us staying in a room and the hotel was aware but only 1 set of bathroom amenities. Had to ask each day for extra shampoo. Otherwise everything else was excellent.

The hotel was lovely and the setting was perfect. I was very impressed by the staff. Everyone was so helpful and pleasant. They made an effort to remember our names and said hello to us each time they passed us. There was no request too big and everything we asked for came in a timely fashion. Their English was fantastic and I can't say enough about their desire to please and accommodate us. For an all inclusive we were very impressed by the food. The beach was great and so was the location. Again I believe our trip was as pleasant as it was primarily due to the fabulous staff. The made sure we had a seamless experience. There were shuttles to move us around the property but we chose to walk and experience all the beauty and glory that is Costa Rica. We were greeted by monkeys and coatis' and sharing the pathways with iguanas made us feel like we were really getting the best balance of natural environment and modern conveniences. Overall it was a perfect trip and would definitely recommend this property for families and couples or friends looking for a wonderful place to vacation.

Set within a nature reserve, you don't get the clear cut views of the ocean like some other more modern resorts. You do get animals in their natural habitat though and its wonderful. I love sitting by the pool and listening to birds and monkeys and watching the friendly iguanas. Staff is warm, friendly and try their best to please. Loved the Riu Palace too but prefer the Westin for the nature.

We absolutely fell in love with Costa Rica and this resort. We upgrade to the Royal Beach Club package and felt like royalty with access to the adults only pool, concierge, etc. The entire resort was beautiful, it felt very exotic and so lovely. The food was incredible. We loved EVERY meal we had all week long. The beach is stunning. So peaceful and such raw beauty. We enjoyed the sunset every evening. We can't wait to return to this resort and to Costa Rica!

We loved this resort. The food at the buffet changed every day and it was always great. No issues with dirty water or washed vegetables. Staff were so welcoming and lovely. We felt truly at home for 7 days

Let me start by saying the staff is amazing at the Westin. The rooms are dated but the beds are comfy. Lighting in the bathroom is not great. The resort is huge so expect alot of walking. Lots of chairs by the pool if you are up by 9 am. Our mini bar was never refilled... we had to call everyday for water and beer to be brought. The food is great at the a la carte restaurants but the buffet is terrible... everything is cold unless you get the made to order pasta or omlette. Make your dinner reservations as soon as you get to the resort... it took me 35 minutes to try to get through to the reservation desk which is insane. They can only book until each Thursday as a new schedule starts friday... so that left us without reservations on friday, saturday and sunday because we had an early excursion on the friday and by the time we got back to the room to call they were totally booked... which left us with buffet ...but we complained and were able to get 2 reservations. When we complained they told us its because of the big groups that they have this issue?? The resort has lots of wildlife to see which was my favorite part. We used Aaron on the beach for excursions, he was great and less expensive than the Nexus tours. Take a walk to Brasilito if you want to bring home some coffee or gifts as they are not as expensive as the gift shops. It was a great trip but I wouldnt recommend this hotel to my friends, you pay a premium price you expect a premium service.

The overall vacation was SUPERB !!! Hawaii & the people are very Nice & friendly !!! Hotel was Fine ~~~ some flaws & areas that I was not happy with !!!! Beach & weather & adventures experienced was GREAT !!!

The grounds were beautiful and well kept; our unit was spotless, spacious and the bathroom was very well appointed; the staff were extremely attentive and genuinely proud of their country and wanted to make sure you experiened all that you could; the water and beaches were stunning - you could walk at least an hour either way or walk the ATV trail; the food was excellent, the best we have experiened at any all inclusive and the wait staff were terrific.

Spotless, well maintained property. Rooms clean, spacious, modernized, with many amenities. Grounds well maintained. Many restaurants to choose from, but reservation system difficult to navigate. Food excellent. Beach is public so be aware that vendors are there. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I recommend Royal Beach section( adult only) for a premium experience.

I don't have a single negative thing to write about the Westin Conchal. The resort is beautiful, the food is delicious and the staff is accommodating. We traveled in a group of six and all of us will be returning in the future

Nice hotel, great location, 1 block from Times Square, centrally located to lots of attractions! Room was clean and chambermaidb service was great! Never tried the restaurant but looked nice! only complaint would be that a fridge in the room would be nice, no where to keep drinks cold and if you have leftover food which we did no where to keep it! There is bar fridge fully loaded but you can't take anything out of it or you will be charged! Staff was friendly and helpful if you had questions! Oh and a pool would be nice after walking around New York in the hot weather! But no big deal!

Very happy with the property, and the service was always friendly. Clean and large room, well maintained gardens and pool area. We are really well at all the a la carte restaurants, and waiters were helpful and courteous. The beach is nice and water is clear, but surf and vendors discouraged many from using it.

I was impressed by the service, especially the 24 hour room service which was our favorite for breakfast (better than the buffet). We were celebrating our honeymoon and were given wine/chocolates however nothing else that the "honeymoon package" describes. Overall, we had a wonderful time and I loved the yoga classes and other daily activities available. I would definately return to CR and to Westin

The hotel grounds were beautiful and lush, the room was spacious, the staff outstanding especially Errol and David. The food was delicious, and the pool was beautiful, we loved the cabanas. We have nothing but good things to say and cannot wait to return.

I travelled with my wife and 2 children (ages 7 &10) between May 9-16, 2015. We enjoyed every minute of it. The food was great, the weather was amazing. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone.

This was an Amazing Resort, the rooms were spacious, the a la carte's were Fantastic and the weather was Unbelievable and the Pool was Great with sun and shade. It was like they dropped the resort in the middle of the jungle. We definitely plan to return here.

Everything about this resort was amazing, from the awesome service, to pools, to food and even the Karaoke! Made for a great relaxing vacation/honeymoon! We made some great friends and loved every minute of it! The views and beaches are amazing!

Great resort, beach was nice but not soft sand. Food was good not great. Service was fantastic. Very clean place. Villas are great with large clean rooms. Staff is fantastic, very kind and accommodating. Service around pool is limited and virtually no service at the beach. All and all a great spot.

Positives: The hotel and especially the grounds are outstanding as far as beauty goes. The room was lovely and overlooked the garden area and even on the third floor , there was very little noise from outside. The beach was close by and again very beautiful. The pools were well maintained and not too crowded. The concierge and front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Negatives: We had a very unpleasant experience in the Oceanside Restaurant when a waiter spilled a tray of drinks on someone in our party and basically tried to laugh it off. The guest wasn't offered any compensation at all and was treated rudely. The food was quite expensive for the quality. There was noise in the hallways that could be clearly heard in the room. Since I am not a weight room user, all I received for the additional $31.50/night resort fee was 2 bottles of water a day and wi-fi---terrible! The Business Center also charged for using the hotel computer after the first 15 mins. if you didn't have your own computer with you. Too many add-ons to make the stay extremely expensive. I would look elsewhere next time.

The service at the Westin was phenominal. Super clean resort with amazing food. The grounds were very very clean and just an overall great experience. All of the staff were super friendly. Had a wonderful time.

The property and golf course are absolutely gorgeous and maintained beautifully. The staff are super helpful and there are so many! Activities are fabulous -excellent aquafit instructors every day. Restaurants are very, very good. The rooms are georgeous - we had a beautiful view of the golf course and the water fowl on the little lake/pond - building 411 rooms 6 and 7. The pool is huge and lovely. If you are looking for shallow , calm walk-in beach, this is not for you. The water is rough and the undertow strong. But the surfing at Tamarindo beach near by is great. I'd say this is the most beautiful resort we've ever stayed at (and we were pretty impressed with Sandals in St. Lucia)

The Weston has it all ,amazing location in the center of it all ,walking to the best shopping ,great food,beautiful king suite room,and the view was great! Clean rooms and the staff was the best of all ,a beautiful bottle of wine on our 30th anniversary! Whether you are talking about the location, lobby, service, rooms or restaurant, this hotel is simply the best! My wife and I stayed there for 12 days and simply put, this hotel has it all. First you have the history and tradition of the First Lady of Waikiki; Afternoon tea in the veranda, colonial architecture rooms with shutters, sweeping staircases and lobby that take you to another time of elegance. Service, whether it is at check in or out, for your room or supper is pleasant and helpful. We stayed at the banyan section, city view room and would stay there again. Loved the shutters, shower and heavenly king size bed! Especially liked being only steps from the pool and beachouse outdoor restaurant, The pool area again is wonderful with the banyan and palm trees providing shade if you so wish. I particularly enjoyed listening to the performers singing island style music while we relaxed by the pool. Again you are steps from the beach and panaramic views of the ocean and Diamond head! Catamaran out outrigger canoes are close by as is excellent restaurants and shopping. Bottom line, you won't be disappointed! Truly a resort with real Aloha!

My family and I enjoyed every minute we spent at the Westin. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Verny from the Swiss Travel made us truly feel like part of his family. The hotel amenities were well maintained, equipped, and our every need was met. I have vacationed in more than 15 countries all over the world and the Westin experience and the Costa Rican people top my chart.

Definitely worth staying at this hotel. Staff were very accommodating upgraded us to a higher floor for waiting for our room. Concierge was helpful in selecting a restaurant. Rooms were sleek and clean. Would stay there again next time I'm in new York. Right at times square.
