The hotel was clean the room was amazing dinners had some hiccups but overall food was tasty. The only issue was some of the staff were very laid back and when asking for something it took forever. But I would highly recommend dreams the beach and driving were beautiful. Thank you for overall great experience.

We recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at the resort. My wife and I had a great time from start to finish—the beach was beautifully maintained, with clean sand and stunning blue, crystal‑clear water full of vibrant fish. The entertainment throughout our stay was genuinely good, and the staff were consistently friendly and welcoming. While the food was just OK, everything else more than made up for it. Overall, we had a great time and left with fantastic memories.

A wonderful hotel. We enjoyed our stay. We spent a week there in the octagon area which was just perfect. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Housekeeping did an excellent job of keeping everything clean and tidy. Check in was quick and smooth. They did a great job of explaining everything and went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. The grounds are meticulously maintained. There’s always someone discreetly cleaning or repairing small things. restaurants were delicious. Didn’t feel the need to leave the resort to find something to eat. The beachfront area was constantly being maintained… never saw anything left on the ground, service of food and drinks offered directly to your beach chair. I would highly recommend this resort. Would return in a heartbeat.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the Renaissance Curacao, June 12-19, 2026. The location is the best home base for a stay on the island, plenty of restaurants at the hotel, "5 O'clock somewhere", Starbucks 2nd floor, Infinity beach club (served right to your lounge chair) , Nautilus Restaurant (main floor), make sure to note the happy hours as well at each. Rift Fort (beside hotel) plenty of restaurants, bars, coffee and ice cream shops - and a short walk to Downtown Willemstad and Village Hulanda for restaurants and shopping. The unique pool/beach is something to talk about, as there is no access to the ocean the infinity pool is located on the 2nd floor, lt overlooks the ocean and is made up of beach sand and sea water, (no fish) plenty of palm trees, sun, lounge chairs and a beach bar this makes for such a relaxing atmosphere. I felt like I was at the beach, so clean, had everything I needed, honestly loved this unique concept. There is also another regular infinity pool overlooking the ocean as well. There are many options for shopping right at the hotel, brand name and boutique stores. There is also a casino on site, many slot machines and tables, not a gambler but it did look like a great casino. Our room was #305 overlooking the beach/pool which was perfectly located and welcoming. Kept clean everyday, Perfect location to the beach, Starbucks runs and a beautiful view! What truly elevates this experience is the people, Martesano, the manager made sure we were always happy and always greeted us with a smile and great conversation, his hospitality is 100%. The doormen Roland, Alexia, and Miguel are the happiest people we have ever met at a resort. These fine people made you feel like part of their family and will leave a lasting impression on us. 100 % recommend Renaissance Curacao for your next vacation on the island! As for the island itself, make sure to rent a car, (Wheels to Go - at the hotel) parking was included at the hotel, travelling is easy, we were able to visit so many beautiful beaches and for just touring the island.

The resort, rooms, service, food, grounds, tropical lush, friendly staff, were all outstanding. If you would like to stay by the pool, drink and relax, this a resort for you. But if you are a beach person, unfortunately there is not direct access to the beach. However, staying in this resort provide access to all amenities and restaurants to two other nearby resorts, Dreams and Il Mare. There is less than 5 minutes' walk to any of these other resorts (just across the street). Golf card rides are also available, as many times as you need them during the day. The beach at the Dreams is very small, but the water is crystal clear and calm despite windy weather. The infinity pool and restaurant at Il Mare are amazing. The island was charming and very safe to walk around.

Booked the extra Sunclub room, no real benefit to that as anyone can go anywhere on the resort. Location was furthest from restaurants/ bars, however did have a "quite" pool and a make shift bar (till 6pm) in this building block. Food at the a la carte restaurants was very good. Italian, Japanese, seafood and steak. The main buffet was typical. Not bad but not great. There was entertainment at night which was fun, though we only saw two nights as more of early risers. Beach was the highlight of stay. Plenty of loungers and palabas. Up at six am and plenty of loungers available to enjoy ocean and a coffees/pastry from 24 hr coffee shop. Entry into water was easy, a few rocks along shore, but after 5 to ten feet in, sandy bottom. Water so clear you can navigate easily. Seawall encompasses whole beach area, so waves are minimal. In block 8, pool also available. Perfect combo. Room was nothing special. Had to request a fan as AC seemed to struggle. Fan was great. Beer fridge stocked daily with water, pop and 7 oz beer. Daily is a perk of Sunclub, which is good as after 6 pm bar is at other end of resort. Room service is included with Sunclub too ( didn't use), along with an Air conditioned lounge by check in thar has a bar fridge stocked along with various snacks throughout the day, that was a nice perk, but again not worth the upgrade. Staff were great. Always a smile and hello/ola and appreciative of a tip. I would definitely recommend this resort and would return.

This is my second time to this resort , and my experience was just as good, if not better than last time . They have upgraded the world cafe( buffet) and added a few new touches that make it so much more enjoyable . We stayed in the tower, our room was large, clean, cozy and stocked with all the things you may need. The staff at the resort are friendly , attentive and will try to help you in any way they can. The beach is the real star of the show, it’s calm waters and beauty really keep you coming back .

5 star rating places is overrated, 4 star is max Clean but shortfalls were - short on serving staff. Often uncomfortable wait for experienced travellers -beer was down in same place for several days and troublesome everywhere -knives need replacing, dull as a spoon -front desk answers were contradictory and sometimes wrong -pool area needs those little poolside tables to put belongings on -lobby area should have snacks handy-like nachos or candy -breakfast was exact same every day- a bit of variety would avoid boredom after 5 days -main lobby washrooms were a bit stinky and dark. Made u want to go back to your room

Rooms are old, look for another place. The beach that should be the selling point of this resort does not make up for all the other things wrong with the resort. The servers in the buffet restaurant are very hardworking though, kudos to the ladies there.

Hotel was very clean, good restaurants friendly staff. The staff went above and beyond. The location was perfect for a short walk to downtown Willemstad. The front desk got us in contact with a rental car for touring around the island.

Beach, pool and grounds are beautiful. Italian restaurant was very good. Some rooms are in bad need of refurbishment and have a nasty smell. Front desk reaction to our complaint about our room was met with indifference initially. Don't pay extra for ocean view you may get a partial ocean view or a restaurant outside your door as we did and they called it oceanview. We asked for red wine and were told they had no opener. Wine served in paper cups? Ice blender was out of order for 2 days. Generally not good value for your money.

This resort was clean with very friendly staff. The pools and beaches were great and the buffet and à la cartes offered a good variety of food. The size of the resort made it great for travelling with a large group for meeting up. Lineups for restaurants on the night of the beach buffets were not ideal, especially for those with children and new arrivals to the resort. I would definitely recommend the upgrade to SunClub for premium drinks and increased dining options. Kenneth, the bartender was fabulous. He was friendly, efficient and treated us to his speciality drinks! Rooms were a good size and bar fridge restocked daily. No issues with getting beach chairs together for large group.

Entertainment was very good food no so good beacn small and the pool more small with only one open bar On top i hot stuck in the elevator out of service for two hours with no way of leting know from inside that i was stuck. My wife come looking for me and she let them know that i was stranded inside The alarm buttom didn’t work and no cell signal inside and the only way wss to k ick the door and hopefully some one would hear

Just returned from a beautiful week.the resort a little outdated but awesome. The food was great, the location was perfect, and the snorkeling was WOW, the best we have experienced. The ocean water is so beautiful and clear. We loved Curacao and hope to return one day!

The beach is small, less than 75 feet wide and only around 100 loungers. But the water was beautiful and always calm. There were tons of fish both close in and further out. The food was ok, the buffet was small but always had something good to eat, the restaurants were ok as well. There were a few delicious dishes, the pumpkin soup and the crispy pork dish at the Oceana restaurant were great. The beach/pool grill wasn't great. Drinks were great with lots of variety. Service tended to be slow at bars and restaurants, but we were on vacation and weren't ever in a rush. The hotel is older and shows it but the housekeeping and maintenance staff were always busy keeping things up. Our room 535 was huge and had a sofa and a pair of chairs as well, not all rooms were as big it was a preferred club perk. The view and setting of the hotel was beautiful There is a part of an old fort beside the beach and tour groups came in to see it most mornings. Air Canada Rouge was not good, no space and very uncomfortable seats. I would never fly it ever again.

Liked the layout, the grounds, food was good, staff was excellent, helpful. Liked the location. We did not appreciate the accommodation , run down, in need of renovation. During our time there , they fumigated the rooms. We suspect they have bedbugs, based on the bites we noticed. Not great value for the price, as we could have gone elsewhere for less.

Lobby and pool area undergoing repairs while we were there. Nice enough hotel showing its age a little. Clean, well kept but needs minor things repaired (like missing towel rack in bathroom). Pretty chill vibe, great for relaxing, car is necessary if you want to explore the country.

The Rif Mangrove was clean. Good food and drinks. The seafood restaurant should better the menu. I ordered fish and chips because there was no shrimp or lobster. The fish was good but it came with fries that were from the freezer - not made from fresh potatoes. The issue with this resort is the hotel app to book the restaurant reservations was not working. My husband tried 3 different days to get in and it didn't work. Because we couldn't book through the app, we had to go to the front desk every day to book the restaurant for the next day dinner. You could only book for the next day. Because of this we missed out on a reservation because we went on a tour that we were picked up at 9am-4:30pm. The reservation can only be booked from 10am -4pm. So we lost out. In the room we would have liked bed side tables with a drawer to put our ?️ in etc. There could have been more hooks in the bathroom to hang a wet bathing suit. We were on the ground floor so we didn't want to put our things on the patio for anyone to take. Overall it was good.

The Hotel is excellent, the staff is friendly respectful, and the food is amazing, especially the Italian and Japanese restaurants. There is entertainment every evening and this makes Sunscape Curacao Resort quite attractive, and there are activities for all age groups. The grounds are well kept, the pools are great, but the building and the furniture are archaic! The residences are in need of renovation! I would go back any time.

Hotel rooms were very comfortable The cleaning staff were excellent Sunclub staff were very helpful Some of the a la carte restaurants were very slow The beach is beautiful; however, get to the beach before 7am if you want an umbrella. It was very difficult to get shade for our grandkids. Sad really, as the resort does not want anyone to hold the chairs, but many of the seats under the umbrellas were vacant for hours, with only a towel and a few personal items holding them.

The Rif at Mangrove was advertised as Adult Only side, but it is not. It still caters to young families, both sides of the Resort is all family friendly. So for couples looking for a quiet adult only vacation this is not the place to choose. Aside from countless slamming doors, and some crying toddlers…housekeeping was great, rooms are immaculate, the cocktails were amazing, food at the buffet was always delicious with so many options! The beach could of been maintained better, they did haul in more sand the day we left…We loved being within walking distance into Wilmstead, we enjoyed going into town, shopping and crossing the floating bridge. The tour desk was so helpful finding us a private guide to go swim with turtles and drive us around the area and explaining the history of the island etc. Curaçao is a fabulous island to visit, we really enjoyed ourselves.

We have just returned from a week's stay at the Sunscape Curacao which I would rate at Excellent. Overall this is a solid 4 out of 5 star. The snorkelling was outstanding with plenty of fish to see right off the beach. The breakwater adds to safety and makes it more enjoyable. We even got a car rental and visited multiple other beaches but the snorkelling was still the best at Sunscape. Our room was clean and never encountered hot water or housekeeping issues. This is not a gourmet Michelin experience but the food was good and varied contrary to some reviews. We were always able to find something and ate well. As for service and staff: Yes you are on island time. Pro tip: if you start with a smile, that goes a long way. Shoutout to Nathaly and Jorge at the Blue Grill as well as Jermaine at the World Grill. We would definitely recommend and return to the Sunscape Curacao. Frank and Jodi

The Sunscape curacao was ideally located. The beach was beautiful, with a protected swimming area filled with a natural reef and lots of colourfull fish. Snorkeling gear and water shoes are recommended. The water entry into the beach is rocky. The staff and service were very friendly. You can drink the water from the taps. The resort is older. With that comes bigger rooms, but also maintenance issues. Our room had a broken handle on the bathroom door and the kids got locked in. The problem was not fixed in our timeline. The resort was large. The sun club area was the quiet part, but quite far from the restaurants and amenities, so it wasn’t ideal for people with mobility issues. We stayed in tower 2. There was a neighboring business that had obnoxiously loud music until midnight, and the pool area of the Sunscape was quite loud as well, both day and night. If you value quiet, book the sun club area. Food and drinks were good for an all inclusive. Service in the À la carte restaurants were slow. If you didn’t get there for opening at 6:30 there were long waits as the restaurants seemed understaffed. It could take 2-2.5 hours to finish a meal. The gym facilities were basic and crowded. You could safely walk outside of the resort as curaçao is very safe.

We loved the beaches at this resort. The water was calm and felt very safe for snorkeling and swimming, with plenty of sea life to enjoy. Overall, the food was good. However, service at the à la carte restaurants was consistently slow. They appeared to be short‑staffed in the kitchen, and guests seemed to be seated in a short time span, which created additional delays. Meals often arrived cool or cold. The buffet offered a nice variety of dishes and the service there was good. Staff throughout the resort were friendly and welcoming. The rooms were spacious and clean, though dated. As an older property, some things were not functioning properly. For example, the bathroom door handle was broken, and closing the door risked getting locked inside. We requested repairs several times, but it was never fixed during our stay. The music, entertainment at the resort and neighbouring properties was also very, very loud! It typically went to midnight.

Rooms are dated, problems of some sort in most rooms, problems handled by staff or moved rooms, beach , pools very clean, staff very friendly and accommodating,food good,snorkeling outstanding, Sun Club may not be worth it for everyone.

We stayed at the Mangrove Beach Curacao from Feb 9th to 16th 2026.The hotel was fine but they are definitely under staffed. Check in was very slow as they only had 2 people on. The rooms were very clean but 2 days we had no water when it was time to shower for dinner. After about 1 1/2 hrs it came on but only after going down to the lobby to complain,as they don't seem to answer any phone calls.I would have hated to have an emergency and had to go all the way to the lobby to get help. I have never encountered that in all my years of travelling. For a Hilton owned hotel I was not impressed. At the bar near the lobby there was 3 girls on but only 1 working as the other 2 were busy talking to each other,and there was a line up for drinks. Also one of the days we lost our A/C for a couple of hours,which again we had to run to the lobby to complain. If you are going from US or Canada you need to take your own converter or if lucky you can leave a 10 dollar deposit to borrow one only.The beach is not the best as there are some rocky spots. I can honestly say the food was very good.

The room was not very clean especially the bathroom was moldy.Complained and was moved to another room the following day Which was slightly better. The grounds was ok. Not fantastic The food was good when the main dining room buffet was open it was closed 3 timer for dinner the week we were there and the 3 restaurants were unable to handle everyone food was cold and unavailable.

Staff was exceptionally helpful. The Sun Club was an excellent choice. The rooms, the gardens, the pools, all scrupulously clean. We especially enjoyed the close proximity of the rooms to the pool to the beach. All were just steps away. Definitely plan to go back.

If you like choice this is the place. Chose shade or sunshine, sandy or smooth waterside walkways, indoor or outdoor dining, flying or walking animals, peace and quiet or boisterous friends talking at the bar this is the place. Oh the staff is friendly, polite and trying to please.

In over 40 years of business and leisure travel by far the worst resort and airline package ever. Old tired Hyatt miserable check in staff got the wrong room changed two days later to another room with mould and a singing toilet! On. any given night 5 of the “ supposed” 7 restaurants were closed the buffet is closed in Sundays. Horrible food and low quality no variety no food or drinks anywhere after midnight pools small and limited lounges, beach was a sandbox. The only good thing was the weather! There is no way the resort should be recommended to anyone and Air Canada should be ashamed to offer it as an AC package. By the way AC supplied planes on a 5 hour flight with no TV screens no IPhone chargers and seating space for those under 10! Absolutely disgusting!

Our 7 day stay was amazing! Staff at this resort were fantastic, kind & courteous. Our room was nice, clean and the bathroom had recently been remodeled. We had a beachfront, ground floor room in the Plover building. Highly recommend it. We opened our patio door, stepped off our terrace and we were on the beach. Everything was so nice and close, the restaurants, pool etc.. The food was good. We enjoyed our stay very much :)

Curacao is a beautiful warm, friendly, beautiful, historic and safe island. The resort was clean. The food was excellent. The Italian was my favorite. The staff were super friendly. The beach has a concrete pad down with Sand over it in the sitting area because lack of natural white sand I guess. There is a rule about no reserving beach chairs which is completely ignored so palapas are gone by 6 AM but you can find a lounger. Sunclubs are newer in better shape. Bring water shoes, it's a bit rocky in places. Entertaining fire dancers were excellent, we had a carnival night with excellent dynamic musicians. And lounge type music outside at night. We were suggested to purchase the Sunclub package. It includes having a separate nicer building at quiet end of the resort with your own less crowded beach area, private bar, newer chairs, different towels, private pool and a bar fridge restocked daily. and prioritized check in.We got NONE of that. On arrival we got in line for check in and waited. When it was our turn we got sent to the sunclub lounge to check in there and waited again. After that we never saw anyone in it because it seems just like a business office with a couple couches and chairs, coffee, wine, water and cookies. The term lounge is exaggerated. We took our luggage, struggled by ourselves to the building at the farthest building from the sunclub. Only one elevator worked of the two. The halls were dingy. The room was bright, large and clean. The maids were very nice. We got an ocean view, true but it was the back of the kitchen and buffet area with all the noise and ventilation sound. The cold water tap didn't work, no problem. We slept separate on our anniversary vacation because we got 2 small beds instead of the king bed in our vacation agreement. No quiet for us because the nightly entertainment was just down to the left of us. On 2 different days we banging above us from workers directly above us on the roof working into the evening. The daily restocked fridge was checked the next day after getting there the nothing until after asking personally/ calling 5 times to ask. Second last day they came . You can drink the water but only the hot water tap worked so I filled my yeti and put in fridge or went down to the bar to get water. The vip services said sunclub members are put all over the resort which there were some others in our building. Finally one rep said they overbooked, that's why we weren't in sunclub area. I find it deceitful/ sneaky, we never got what we paid for, no apologies or reimbursement. We did eat in the Bluewater grill for breakfast once. It's for sunclub only but is the same food in smaller portions except with table service. Got asked several times to visit the dreams hotel and learn about the vacation club in a private session for 45 min, no obligation and get a free couples massage. AKA time share pressure pitch. The concierge Amanda was excellent and attentive although couldn't comment on on our downgrade or any way to resolve it. We were never moved. You may not get what you ask for and I know we're not the first. PS short walk to Mambo beach. Beach is identical but you have to pay to stay and squeeze in with all the cruise visitors. Nice sops and restaurants. The Curacao Store on upper level is very reasonably priced. Got all our souvenirs there. The gift shop at the resort is +++ expensive.

We had a wonderful stay at Il Mare. There were very many positives about this small resort and I will also share a couple of things that we feel needs improvement in order to attract folks, like us, who truly expect a 5 star resort when it is advertised as such. First of all, the transfer to the hotel from the airport was very disorganized. Our bus was held up almost a half hour while waiting for people to get on. It turned out those two people were actually us, who checked in with both Air Canada and the bus yet somehow no-one thought to get on the bus before the long delay to ensure we were on- which we certainly were. The bus then dropped us at "Dreams" next door and told us to walk to Il Mare. We are pretty fit people, so no issue for us, but another couple on the bus were not in the same position as us. Upon departure, we were assured by our butler(s) multiple times that we would be picked up at Il Mare and we watched the bus go to Dreams and then leave the grounds. $35. US later, to be paid by us, we got a taxi. Super disappointing. Now for the resort itself- the "pods" are amazing! It was a very cool experience being so close to the ocean and steps to our own beach. Housekeeping was decent and, when necessary, when we informed them they had missed us, they promptly came. Food was decent. Not "amazing" but decent. Sometimes you ordered eggs for breakfast and sometimes they brought you a ham sandwich. We just rolled with it. Their hospitality sector is severely lacking. Although everyone was kind and friendly, I don't think they have had any training on how to actually serve the public. That is a definite area for improvement. The beach area, although small, offered great snorkelling and you could swim once you got past the rocky entrance. The view and sunsets were spectacular- even from our room. We only visited Dreams to use the gym which offered very little equipment, dated, and mostly broken and unusable. We rolled with that too. Across the street was the 3rd resort that we had access to. Zoetry. Poolside lunch was the best "hot" (temperature) food we experienced. That resort is very pretty and tropical. And with that comes bugs, something we did not have at Il Mare. Our pool area was lovely and relatively quiet. There were no "rush to save chairs" issues. The grounds are well kept and tidy. There is only bar on this resort and service, like everywhere else was friendly, fun and painfully slow. The bar was well stocked with good quality liquors and beer and even the wines were pretty good. We did not really benefit from the "butler" service. We found them also to be friendly and very unreliable. It was easier to just pretty much do our own thing. We never made a dinner reservation and were welcome in to each restaurant at any resort with no issue. Overall, for the money we paid (we booked summer of 2025 for January 2026) we felt we got great value and got to see Curacao. We actually would love to go back to the resort but I really hope they are able to improve in some much needed areas before that.

Dining was terrible with the exception of Italian restaurant. Sunclub was not worth it - always requested beer but never came. Beach was very rocky and entertainment in the evenings was not good. The buffet was horrible and if it weren’t for the Italian restaurant we would have lost some weight for sure!

The Main Hotel section a Dream requires tender loving care. It has the potential if managed and directed effectively to be like Jan Theil area. But the Senior management must have the foresight. The issue is dreams have spent so much time trying to upscale and upsell their portable looking timeshares accommodations that they've neglected the main buildings, interior and exterior. For example, I roomed in 4 20. Everything was okay except for the bathroom tub. Luckily for them I was solo traveling. If I had another companion I would have demanded another rule The tub itself alone had peeling marks on it and sealed which it is not attractive. The employees were kind and cooperative. The spa area was nice. I give that a 4 /5 The building itself alone its renovation And it needs I got a touch of adventure and excitement because it has the structural ability to do so I give it a 2 / 5 And if you can eat off the resort. There's a nice restaurants within walking distance with a beautiful view of the sea and the food is very good

If you are someone who likes modern large resorts with bar service in your beach chair then this is probably not your best choice. The resort rooms could use some upgrade, however, the beds are comfortable, the AC worked and they were always clean and well stocked. The food in the restaurants (with the exception of the only one requiring reservation -the PanAsian) was good. The beach has beautiful swimming and snorkelling. The only downside is the shortage of palapas which created the early morning competition to reserve..no sleeping in if you want some shade. We explored the beauty of Curacao off resort with ease. It is a 5 minute walk to Mambo beach which can provide the Miami type vibe if that interests you. The shuttle vans that cost $2 stops out front of the resort. We took it to and from Williamsted- a must see. We hired a private guide who drove us to the north west -Shete Boka National Park, Playa Pescado(turtles), Grote Knipe beach, Playa Kenepa Chiki, Flamingos. Private guide was more economical than paying for excursion for 3 people. We arranged a snorkelling tour to visit the south west of island -Spanish Waters with cruise through the bay on the way to sunken Tugboat. We would recommend this resort for those who do not need grandiose to enjoy the amazing beauty of Curacao.

Overall this was a very nice place. Grate for snorkeling in a controlled area restaurants were very good. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Live music was nice. Nice getaway. City was beautiful and people were friendly. Definitely going back!

I can not say enough about this hotel. Food was amazing, buffet had a great variety of food. The staff was all amazing. Will be returning back soon!! The beach was clean the pool was clean. This was an excellent resort to stay.

What a great trip! Everything about Curacao was amazing. The resort was great and have no complaints worth dwelling upon! It fit our style of vacation perfectly including less crowds, quiet , great food and stellar ambiance! Having the ability to venture next door for night entertainment was a huge plus!

The hotel room was clean with cold working A/C.Housekeeping was excellent and serviced the rooms early. The grounds were clean and the large pool was always clean. Food was good but more self serve and slow to clean plates from table. The beach and pool bar was a disappointment. No blended drive, extremely slow service. The lobby bar service was quicker. The beach was clean and swept daily, no rush to reserve loungers. Half the beach was rocky (in the water) and the other half was sandy. The waterpark was a hit, although the yellow slide wasnt working during my stay. The À la carte resturants were good, we tried BBQ, Turkish, Mexican (not good, no flavour) and Italian. Summary: good hotel, decent food, bring water shoes and enjoy

Everything about the resort was good. Relaxing and it gave us a chance to recharge. The pool was amazing and the sunsets were awesome. We had a wonderful full day island tour with an amazing host. We learned alot about the history of the island. The weather was extraordinary.

Trip started with our deluxe oceanfront view. Having a view of the fish restaurant. Asked the front desk twice to see if we could change to a higher floor. They said they would get back to me and never did. The toilet was running called the front desk. Nobody ever came to look at it. We ended up just fixing it ourselves every time we flushed. The ceiling in the bathroom was leaking we called and nobody ever came. The stocked mini bar is two beers and three pops. Had be track done someone almost every day to bring water bottles. Only one bar that you can get drinks at during the day. The hotel is very dated and rundown Buffet ran out of plates. We are extensive travels and have been all over the whole. Will not be going back to that hotel.

At arrival we were greeted with cold drink, the check in was quick but not friendly.The first room we received was 1st floor above the lobby by the elevator facing the parking lot, the ants were celebrating on the balcony. Than we switch building, no guidance just pointing were to go, it took us frustrated 10 minutes to find the room.(we are 76 year old). Cleaning: when we were out the whole day it wasn’t clean, just fixing the bed and emptying the trash, but the last 3 days we came after 3:00 and stayed on the balcony when they came and it was perfectly clean. Food: was ok, the only thing is most of the time was cold. But you can always find something to eat. No service at the buffet restaurant, do it yourself. The outside beach is nice, but bring water shoes, small rocks in the water. The Cabanas and Palaps cost money, only the 6.5ft umbrellas are free. Weather at this time is rainy, but we managed to enjoy the water in between, that’s what we came for.

As a solo older traveler, I spent a week enjoying the hospitality of this family run resort. It is a beautiful resort where the grounds are neat and clean. It has a lovely pool with two Jacuzzi areas.( needs maintenance as the jets weren't working.) It also has a lagoon. The Villa rooms are awesome and spacious, and I stayed in a small room that was adequate, The beds are very comfortable and the down feather pillows are the size of huge clouds. The best. They ask that you do not through paper into the toilets. Meaning be conservative with toilet tissue and other paper/tissue products go in the garbage. Bravo for them to be contentious of waste and avoid major maintenance issues. I fully respect this OVERALL. Great stay for a quite slice of heaven away from the normal AI huge resort vibe. Enjoyment of the sunshine warm air and CURACAO hospitality. The Bar area is great for a quick bite and even dinner. There is some entertainment during dinner hours and at 8.00pm there is a 10 minute light show to music which also changes. Was very pretty to watch, underneath the swaying palm trees. During my stay it was not crowded and ample beach chairs and bali beds around the pool. And there was no loud music and everybody was respectful of the environment. This is a great family oriented quite hotel.( I'm sure it gets busy later in the season. The Bar staff very youthful and attentive. I must say I also liked that all food and drinks were served on porcelain and glass which is great for reducing garbage and it is classy. Reception desk was always helpful and friendly. Housekeeping was fine but sometimes missing attention to detail. E.i A neighbor villa left dishes on their terrace and was not cleaned for 2 days. The location is great as your 5kms from Willemstad and yes I did walk there and back, once. Your 5 minutes from the Ocean. The shuttle bus will take you into town, beach and supermarket. The small fridge I had was great. The air conditioner was cold. This budget hotel is great if you want a place that is clean, efficient and central. It caters to those that use it as a starting point for exploring the island, they do have ample parking for cars. It's great for long term stays at it has full kitchen villas It has a good meal plan with various options which I opted out. Yes I would recommend this hotel but you are a specific traveler as stated above.

This hotel is perfect if you plan to tour the Island. The food is very good at the Acoya. The staff were all very friendly. I booked the rental car at the hotel, Sunil was great to deal with, very easy and convenient booking at the hotel. This my third trip booked through Trip Central. Beth was great, she knew the Island and what we were looking for. Great recommendation!

The hotel was nice, there was some construction, but it was their low season. The food was great, with a variety of food selection at the buffet and a la cart options. The staff was amazing and the service superb.

We have no complaints. The rooms were clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic.Thanks to the Italian restaurant and Nicole for decorating for my husband's birthday ( a total surprise) The beach was a bit rocky but not a problem with water shoes, so many fish right at the beach because of the coral. The bartenders were great, and Kenneth's Special drink was a delicious Adult flavored Strawberry Shake. We would definitely stay there again.

I recently returned from Dreams Curaçao and I was not impressed. We did not get served tea/coffee not one morning. Basically everything, other than a la carte is serve yourself. When we are paying a so much money, I would like at least drinks. Nobody by the pool served you. Majority of the employees looked like they didn’t want to be there. We could not find a Westjet rep to help us nor was there a binder for flight/bus pick up times. They did their best with night time entertainment, however it’s not the best. The buffet is basically the same every meal/every day. Jessica who worked the bar at night was amazing and Livy with entertainment did a great job! The resort itself has potential, however they require proper management in running it to a 5* standard. Currently it’s running at 2.5-3 at best. Needless to say we will not be returning.

Lovely resort with a wonderful pool. The buffet was great. Loved the buckets of wine at dinner! The resort location is solid as it is a walkable distance to Willemstad. While the Adult pool was lovely it quite often had lots of children in it. A La Carte restaurants, were mediocre for service and difficult to book despite an app that could have made it easier. I really didn’t want or expect a lot of social activities but there just weren’t any that were relevant to us. Overall a nice result but we do not intend to visit again.

Dreams was a nice resort, however, would not return. Pros - close to town - nice beach, though very small - good location at water - buffet breakfast and lunch were wonderful - rooms nice layout, spacious, nice balcony, comfortable beds, nice washroom Cons - Air conditioning NOT working all week - very humid - hard to sleep - Only warm to hot water all the time, no cool or cold water - Not happy at all with events, entertainment or advising of events - Room right above the main lobby, didn't know how loud it was at night events - Pool towels most of the time were empty/used - Only 2-3 restaurants open daily - buffet only 2x for dinner - Air Canada Rep - never saw her past 1st day - no offer of option of shuttle to town, other resorts that was an option- disappointed

We had a great time! The room was very clean, the air conditioning worked great! The pool at sun club was so clean and warm! Zoraida was the best bartender ever! She did such a great job! We had an amazing time snorkeling as well right in front of the sun club pool. I loved that the pool and beach were so close! The grounds were kept very clean and I also had the best deep tissue massage at the spa! Great weather all week!

The resort is small, has 3 "restaurants" plus a buffet despite what the website says, and 1 of the 3 were closed most nights, so limited dining options. Most of the food was below average, and the many items were the same in each restaurant. They don't serve wine with dinner, you need to buy it by the bottle. The buffet was identical each breakfast and lunch, your only option for those meals. The beach is tiny, about the size of my front lawn. Most beaches in Curacao are small as they are small coves. They had "2" bars, but the one never, ever had a server at it. Didn't get a drink at it all week, nor did I see anyone else. They don't use top shelf alcohol, you have to walk to an office in the back to get a drink with it, and you have to have a "preferred" room to access it. Also, they play very, very loud music every night until anywhere from 1030- 1130 pm each night, at the foot of the hotel. You cannot get away from it, so I would only recommend a "NON OCEANVIEW" room to block as much of the music as possible, unless you like being stuck listening to off-key KAREOKE singers until 1030 pm. You seriously cannot get away from it if you want any quiet time in the evening. Bring earplugs if you go to bed before 11pm. The Casino is tiny, and only used by locals for the slots. I went in 3x and no one was ever at a blackjack table or roulette. ALSO, ZOETRY is accross the road and they come to the postage stamp beach to use as well. - Lastly, watch out for the "Hyatt All Inclusive" sales pitch that they will try to sell you for $30K US. The sales person even admitted to us that the Dreams Curacao is no more than a 3 star resort. The trip is cheap for a reason. Honestly, I would never ever go back there. I am only writing this to help decision makers in the future. We rented a car, the lsland itself is awesome. So much to see and explore. The downtown is gorgeous and safe. We ended up eating out - off the resort 3 times because the food was so below average.

The Hotel was comfortable a clean . The people who worked there were great. The Food was fresh and delicious. The Entertainment was fun. The pool and Beach was fabulous. The restaurants were great! The views were spectacular. We had a wonderful 7 day stay celebrating our 40th anniversary. I cannot believe all the poor reviews that I read prior to going. I had one issue not getting drinks as quick as we thought we should on the very first night, but 1 complaint to the office rectified the problem and the set the tone for the rest of the week! Book this resort. It was great!

Overall, our stay at Sunscape was a positive experience. Having upgraded to SunClub, we felt we had the best room at the resort - it was a corner room with a great ocean view, located on a 2nd floor with a fairly private balcony, and was close to everything. The hotel is, at best, a 3-star resort. Despite being a bit dated, the biggest drawbacks were the poor service and terrible food. With the exception of a couple of standout employees (Nathaly - head waitress/hostess), staff were often scowling and unfriendly. The SunClub staff made us feel as though we were an imposition, and were pretty unapproachable. Xienandrau, who was usually assigned to restocking our mini-bar, was great during the first 5 days; but his service was sporadic thereafter. The staff at the Italian restaurant were frequently rude and dismissive. The staff at Oceania were always friendly and attentive. Thanks to Nathaly, we had attentive service at the Grill and the Cafeteria (aka the Trough). The food quality was repetitive, unimaginative, uninspiring and disappointing. The alcoholic drinks were a bit of a joke for Sunclub guests. One had to order a double or triple shot in order to be served a standard 1.5 oz shot, which made one feel like a real lush!! Although the hotel appeared clean, and staff were visibly always cleaning the premises, we had cockroaches in our room. The air conditioning in our room only seemed to work at around 4:30 am. The rest of the time, our room was quite hot albeit cooler than outside. The coffee maker in our room was broken when we arrived. Despite reporting it twice to the concierge and bringing it to the attention of the cleaning staff, the coffee maker was never replaced or repaired. The gym was not air conditioned and the equipment was dated and not entirely functional. Equipment was limited to ancient weight machines and some quasi-functioning cardio units. For us, the highlights were the onsite scuba facility and the beautifully protected open-water swimming arrangement. The scuba operation and employees were truly excellent. As an avid swimmer, I enjoyed the experience of frequent swims inside the breakwater "reef". Overall, the Sunscape and Air Canada Vacations provided a mediocre experience, at best. However, we liked Curacao and plan to return. The next time (hopefully January 2026), we will avoid AC Vacations and hope to book a 4-6 week stay through either AirBNB or VRBO. We are happy to discuss our experience in person, and also welcome any advice on future longer term visits to Curacao!

Enjoyed the surroundings. Staff was very hospitable, accommodated our needs in a timely manner when we had problems with our TV. Enjoyed the beach and great entertainment each night. They offered a variety of tasty meals. Overall, excellent, will go back for a visit and stay at the Dreams Resort.

Excellent location with only a 2 km walk to the floating bridge in Willemstad. Located next to the seaport but unfortunately the cruise ships dock extend to directly in front of resort beach which was not ideal, unless you really enjoy looking at the side of a cruise ship all day. Room had an ant infestation which I was told by staff was not uncommon and the A/C was kicking out some unidentified white flaky looking substance that ended up coating the surfaces of the furniture that I ended up having to clean myself. Room cleaning was generally subpar other than making the bed. Unfortunately there was an area rug on the floor in the room that wasn’t cleaned all week so you can imagine what that ended up looking like. Only ate at the buffet restaurant where the food was pretty good but repetitive. Buffet was shared with the family resort so was extremely busy and often had long lines to access food and even clean plates. The grills and deep fryers were in the middle of the area where you select the food so it was smokey and uncomfortably hot in this area. The gym was good with a decent selection of equipment. I wouldn’t recommend this resort unless you plan to spend a lot of time off resort in Willemstad, then it’s just ok.

Beautiful resort friendly staff however if you are foodies (like us!) sadly, I do not reccommend this resort. It was our first Sandals and at first we were taken away with the beauty, ceanliness and service. However we quickly realized that the restaurants were not what was described in the UTube reviews or other written reviews. Breakfast buffet was fine but thats the best it got. Fish was always dry (every restauraunt) all dinners felt like they were massed produced frozen entrees. Needless to say we were very disappointed.

Nice place. The staff is amazing. Check in and out was seamless. Food is good with lots of variety. Close to the city. Safe to go on your open. Entertainment is good but off you like to party, explore neighbouring resorts and the West side.

The resort is quiet and relaxing. The pool area is well thought out and maintained. The pool bar service could be greatly improved. The rooms are nicely designed. The beds are very comfortable. The shower is fantastic! The food and the service overall could be improved. We enjoyed our vacation at the zoetry and hope to return after they iron out some of the issues

Rooms and balcony were spacious. Enjoyed the more quiet pool. Beach was great. Easy to find a spot. Food was also good. Buffet was crowded at times. Best restaurants were sushi and seafood. Proximity to town was perfect for walking and was very safe.

My wife and I recently celebrated our honeymoon at Sandals Curacao and we wish we didn't have to leave! We loved every moment of our stay. The staff are extremely friendly, and go out of their way to make you feel welcomed! The Sandals Entertainment Team were fantastic! Every night there was a different entertainment event happening on the property, and it was truly impressive! We didn't get all of their names, but Elvis and "Pencil" truly made our experience special by making us feel warm and welcomed by providing hilarious and fun conversations every day. We will miss you guys! Our one-bedroom semi-ocean-view room in the club section was really nice. Our bed was comfortable, and the view from our balcony was nice. The only thing we didn't like was the pillows as they were too soft, so we asked if they had firmer pillows. They provided us with some different pillows, but they were still too soft. This is more personal preference and they did try to accommodate us. If you are a light sleeper like me, bring earplugs to help you sleep as the local birds are up and noisy after 6:00 AM which woke me up every day. My wife and I made the most of the free bottles of water, juice, and wine in our mini-bar fridge. My only complaint is that throughout our week-long stay our wine & champagne glasses were removed and not replaced. We spent each day at the quiet pool reading, drinking and swimming in the pool, and as the saying goes: "The early bird gets the worm". There's slim pickings for beach chairs AND umbrellas after 8:30 AM - so get up early! Bring LOTS of sunscreen and Aloe! My wife and I did two excursions - Snuba, and HATO Caves and snorkelling with turtles afterwards. Snuba was fun if you're a confident swimmer AND have experience snorkelling, but for how expensive the tour was AND how short the experience was it's hard to recommend. I cannot say enough positive things about our HATO Caves experience and snorkelling with turtles. It's a full-day experience, and our bus tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about Curacao and it's history! The caves were super cool. We saw 2 turtles and different species of fish when we were snorkelling. If you are Canadian, like us, keep the exchange rate in mind when booking your excursions as that was a nice surprise for us. My wife and I were both very impressed by the quality of the foods at the restaurants. Be sure to make dinner reservations earlier in your stay as it does get busy at those restaurants!

The location was great, walking distance to Willemstad. The hotel staff at the resort were friendly, and very helpful. We found the pool bar staff were ok ,except a female bartender she was extremely rude..ignoring us and some other patrons to continuly to serve, family or friends possibly? Food was pretty good always a good selection and fresh.rooms were decent..except the bathroom vanity did not have much space for grooming products because of the vessel sink ( we were there for 14 days) bur we did not come to stay in the room , but just a mention. Always beach chairs and towels available at the pools snd beach. Bar/ water was stocked everyday in room if requested. All in i would give this hotel about 4 out of 5.

Some foods in the buffet were cold. They may want to look at the warmers. The pools and the all inclusive features were excellent. The rooms were older, but well kept. Were we to go again, we would consider booking at the RIF.

Location was fantastic! Easy walk to downtown Willemstad. Buffet was amazing everyday! The choices were endless, and I could never try everything, because there were so many. I loved the accessible water/coffee/soft drinks at the buffet. This is the BEST thing. I never had to wait for someone to bring me water. The use of an unlimited supply of bottled water was very concerning and definitely not environmentally friendly. I expected better from a Hilton property- How about some water dispensers that actually work! There were 2 dispensers on the property, and both were broken Maid service is non existent! I now truly believe all the other reviews I read where guests mentioned this. They probably complete the checklist saying they cleaned, but they never really cleaned the room. At most, we had someone pull the duvet over the pillows once, and leave some towels another day, but that was it.... Floors were NEVER swept, ever. The hallway or stairwell had the same garbage sitting along the floors for the entire 7 days I stayed there. Swimming was amazing and the quiet pool and waterslides are the best

Best beach (like mambo but private). Great, open and very hard working staff. Great entertoyment every evening, special thanks to Candy Man and team ;) Food is just amazing, variety of choices and delicious. You must try for sure Japanese restaurant for special experience (Thanks to Sherman). I will defiantly come back here ! Thanks a lot Sandscape for great, unforgettable vacation time. PLEASE !! PLEASE Tip these very hard working people ! They are making your vacation so great and really deserves a little token of appreciation.

My friend and I travelled to this resort from January 9 to 16, 2025. The weather was 35 - 40 degrees with the humidity all week, with very little rain. If you go knowing this is a 3.5 star resort, you will have a great time. The staff at the resort, including everyone we spoke to away from the resort, were amazing. Incredibly friendly and always had a smile on their face. The beach was beautiful with great snorkelling. A little rocky in some spots to get in so bring some water shoes. There were many clean pools. We stayed in a Deluxe Ocean View Double room in building 7. The sleeping area was spacious, but in need of upgrade. The shower water over ran onto the bathroom floor and the bathroom was quite small. We did not have much AC in our room, but they brought us a fan which helped. The room, as well as the entire resort, was very clean. The food at the buffet was fine, yet repetitive and not much flavour in my opinion. It was always cold. I tried to avoid eating there whenever possible. The Italian and Pan-Asian restaurants were really good. We don't eat seafood so we didn't try the seafood restaurant. The Coco Café had amazing coffee and lattes. The Grill had a small menu and again, the food wasn't not warm but it was good. We thought the resort could have used more chairs in the evenings. They were hard to come by and we wanted to enjoy the evening entertainment, but sometimes couldn't find anywhere to sit. We took the bus downtown and enjoyed some shopping and food. We felt very safe. Most shops had prices in American and ANG. If you pay with American money, they may have to give you change in ANG . I should also mention that Curacao is switching their currency to the Caribbean pesos in March so if you plan on taking ANG, use all of it before you come home. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but I would not go back. Curacao is a beautiful island and we were glad we visited.

From the time we walked in to the time we left everyone was professional and pleasant. I would not hesitate to recommend Sunscape to anyone. The food was always good and plentiful. The room was perfect. the cleaning crew did a very good job.

I would offer 3.5 star. The restaurant servers were friendly. The food was good for the price. No complaints. The beach was perfect and really enjoyed the snorkeling. The rooms were good for the price. The no smoking policy could have been better enforced. There were small quirky things. For example, I ordered the Hawaiian Burger and it arrived with no grilled pineapple. The pineapple and Hawaiian theme is why I had ordered it. The server didn't advise us there wasn't any pineapple. She simply brought it to me. This same thing happened with the Organic lettuce and watermelon salad. It arrived with no watermelon. They substituted it with cucumbers and didn't say anything. I ordered an iced coffee at the coffee bar and the woman said she had no ice. Otherwise, all was good. The pools were great. The entertainment was good as well. For the price, this is a good resort and I would go back with another group.

Our stayed was from Dec 13-20th at the Mangrove Beach Corendon All-Inclusive Resort. We were quite surprised at how nicely renovated the hotel was from the lobby, to the room. The quality of the workmanship was impressive compared to other resorts we've visited. What we love about these islands is the constant breeze, so no matter how hot it was the trade winds cools everything down. A great bonus is that you're a short 10 minute walk to beautiful Willemstad and felt safe the entire time. It was interesting to see the various cruise ships dock at The Port near by nearly on a daily basis. Though passengers had the ability to spend the day at our resort, it still did not feel overcrowded which was nice. The overall grounds were very clean and liked that it was not as busy this time of year. We had no issue finding lounge chairs at the beach or a seat at the buffet. These smaller boutique hotels definitely don't give you the feel of overcrowding at all, which adds to the relaxing experience. Moving along to the a la carte restaurants. This resort by far, had the BEST tasting restaurants for an all inclusive that we've ever been to. Our favourites were the Turkish and Seafood a la carte's. The portions were great, the quality of the food was exceptional and all staff were very professional. Food Street had chicken shawarma which we ate daily!! The buffet had a variety of food and themed nights which was a nice change. The Turkish night had such a huge variety of meats and desserts, I regretted eating everything at the a la carte to miss this! The Pera Lobby Bar & Patisserie was open 24/7 and was nice to munch on pastries or sandwiches for a light snack while sipping on mojito's or an ice cappuccino. The coffee bar was adjacent to there where I enjoyed cappuccino smoothies. The only downside we found was that the buffet & a couple of the a la carte restaurants seemed to be understaffed. They worked their buns off to service everyone, but you could tell they were a bit overwhelmed at times. Nonetheless, my partner and I cleared our tables at the buffet to help alleviate the amount of tables to clean for the next guests. We appreciate that the resort is also very wheelchair/walker accessible. With the walkout 1st level rooms, boardwalk ways to the compact beach allows for someone to easily wheel their way through and enjoy soaking up the sun. Though, this may not be ideal for families with children, but they do have a sandbox by the beach. Thumbs up across the board to the staff, the resort and we highly recommend this place!

Came back from our trip very very disappointed - thought we were going to a five stars when actually we got a low 3 stars Food was average and Alcoholic drinks were NOT top shelf .... i.e. if you wanted a Corona it was $5 US ...and JW Scotch was $5. per shot ... defeats the purpose of an "all inclusive if you have to keep paying extra for premium ( actually the first all inclusive resort I have been to where they did this) in addition the concierge staff constantly tries to upsell you on meals or private dining. Rooms are clean however a bit dated Staff - some very friendly majority really did not want to be there - i think the majority working in the buffet area were kids on summer break. I can write a book of the issues we had (group of 10) but don't really think it would help the hotel need a overall manager of customer service. Curacao was great however we will definitely not go back to this hotel.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay, there were a couple small issues in the room they dealt with quickly. Ac worked fine for us. Food was okay, but not much variety, and most wouldn't qualify for gourmet. The deserts in particular were generally disappointing. The resort always felt relaxed, we never had to wait very long for a table at the restaurants or look too far for a lounge chair. Staff was always friendly and helpful.

I found the people to be very friendly and helpful. The amenities were lacking in many areas: Food and service were just average. by the time food reached the table it was cold or barely warm - (Japanese restaurant is the exception - but food was very salty). The buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner was passable. many times the table were lacking cutlery and slow service. The lack of a grill area for breakfast was a major set back for me. I had food poisoning for the last 3 days of my stay - not fun. The room and cleaning were good. Many of the towels looked stained and not clean. I liked the coffee bar. The beach and pool were decent. Quite often the majority of the chairs were covered with towels and no one using them.

My husband and I stayed here for 7 days. Drivers are excellent workers. We went to buy our groceries and to the beach. Housekeeping and receptionist are kind and professional staff. Also Oh????? massage is Impressive! I love it. Thank you very much. We had a great time. Happy vaycay? cheers

This is a great resort! The resort is smaller than most and more intimate. Service is excellent. The food is very good, however selection is a little limited. The only thing I would like to see improved is the nightly entertainment. The quality and variety of the entertainment definitely needs to be improved.

We stayed for 7 days and Curacao is absolutely gorgeous. The staff at the Sunscape hotel were amazing; very friendly and always helpful. The food was good, yet repetitive but well seasoned and fresh. The only negative for us was the beach. Not enough lounge chairs and shade. The beach is also divided by a rock wall which is nice because the water is calm BUT the water smelled. It wasn't an overwhelming smell but you can tell that the water didn't circulate. I love the ocean but was not excited to go to this beach. The upside is that one of their famous beaches, Mambo beach, is only a five minute walk off the resort with plenty of shops and restaurants as well.

Starting withTammy who was wonderful. She gave all the information we needed in good time and even remembered the coupon for park and fly that we used. We had a great time there….the staff were all courteous and accommodating. There was always plenty to eat and drink! No rain until the last day when we were leaving for only 10 or 15 minutes. It was very warm all week and lots to do. Great entertainment nightly!

I have been to curacao quite a few times and this was my first time at the mangrove. My honest opinion I would give this a 3 star rating.we were on the ground floor and used our key to go through a patio door and had to move the curtains to get into our room. Rooms are dark no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Which made all our clothes very damp. Housekeeping was hit and miss. The beach is very rocky . They didn't rake the beach the whole week. Buffet food was cold and even the soup. The Italian restaurant was very slow. Sat for half and hour and didn't even serve a drink. After waiting for 45 minutes we walked out .poor service. Barbecue restaurant had limited times for reservations 530pm or 900pm . Moat of the staff were miserable it seemed like they didn't want to be there.. Would not return to this resort. Would rather stay at the sunscape which is older or the dreams

The resort is very nice. Our first room was 7113, smells like septic but we had a new room two days later. Much better! The Oceanic Restaurant was fantastic! Good food and awesome staff. Italian was also good.

We have just returned from a lovely week spent at SUNSCAPE CURAÇAO. Staff were amazing, kind helpful, personable. Special shout-out to KERRION ( day restaurant manager). She was amazing! Also special shout-out to Bryan ( bartender), happy single guy. Food was excellent, no complaints in that department. Room was large, clean and provided everything we needed during the week. Beach swimming was perfect, snorkeling even better. We did not spend time at the pools as water was so inviting. We stayed in buildings # 7, A/C worked fine, cold fridge, ocean view with Oceana restaurant right outside our door for drinks, etc. Entertainment was good. This is an older resort going through a facelift and certainly met our needs. Linda and Glenn

The hotel is showing its age, many maintenance issues, broken or poorly working features. Food is bland and lacks verity and flavour. Staff is friendly and nice but overworked as the hotel is clearly understaffed. Issues during my stay went unresolved until the second to last day when management stepped in. Wifi was not working, coffee machine in exclusive section not working, AC in room barely working (couldn’t keep room below 25c even at night). Many restaurants closed, dance bar closed, the list goes on. The beach is well protected and calm, great for kids and safe but no lifeguards. Also bring water shoes as there is an abundance of coral in the sand. The explorers club (for kids) is fantastic and was the best part for my children. The kids enjoyed everything but the adults are left dissatisfied.

Before I start on the vacation, I want to give some appreciation to our TripCentral rep, Beth. She is personable, professional and polite. She had been to the resort as an agent but told me SRC is her next vacation location. Our booking went very smoothly and Beth was able to confirm room availability through her ACVacations contact so we were able to secure our second choice. SRCuracao was our first trip to a Sandals resort as well as our first time to Curacao. The island is beautiful (we took a day long private tour and saw it all). The weather was superb 35C every day and comfortable 27C nights. SRC is a top notch resort. The food was gourmet quality at most of the restaurants (special mentions are Vincent’s, Butch’s, Zuka). The three food trucks had so many great choices that you would have to stay for weeks to try all their dishes. The grounds are beautiful and immaculately kept. The four pools are at the perfect temperature and cleanliness. The staff make the resort very pleasant. Great choice for our vacation.

This hotel is a good bargain for the price, the room was nicely setup. The hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. The pool was clean and good for a dip or to hang out by. Cant speak much to the food as we only ate one meal here. Our one meal was good. We used this hotel as a 'homebase' for our vacation. We rented a car and went out every day. The location works well for this, only a few minutes away from Willemstad and some beaches. I would recommend this hotel and Curacao is just an amazing island in general! Best beaches!

We received a free upgrade to an ocean front view room upon check-in. The room was spacious, good storage, clean and had a very comfortable bed. The full sized toiletries in the bathroom was a nice surprise. The resort was overall very clean and the staff worked hard. Great selection of food at the buffet, & lots of drinks to choose from. The favourite was the smoothie bar frozen smoothies & alcoholic drinks. The biggest negative of this resort would have to be that the entire property allows smoking, and EVERYBODY smokes here & isn’t respectful of non smokers and second hand smoke. No matter where you sat outside or at the pool everybody was smoking and you constantly smelled cigarettes due to all the ashtrays readily available. As a non-smoker & allergic to cigarettes/gets migraines, this was a major downfall and I wish they had a smokers section, or a smoke free section. Water slides were fun. Short 10 minute walk to downtown. Overall the only complaint was the cigarettes being allowed everywhere.

Acoya Hotel and Villas is nice. Since every person has a different opinion on what's nice let's break this down. Renting a car is a must. At least for a few days. We didn't mind taking the bus until we got our car. The grounds are not on the ocean. So, if you want to hear and see the beautiful waters of Curacao this place is not for you. BUT...you can walk there. Keep in mind its hot and its approximately a 20-to-30-minute walk to Mambo Beach and the Sea aquarium. Worked for us. Could use slight updates but nothing serious. Standard room is quite small and no patio or terrace. Deluxe room was perfect for us and what we paid!!! Bed was perfect!! Everything is VERY well cared for and clean. Front desk staff is excellent.!!! Every employee on site is very nice. Pool area is also gorgeous and well cared for. Restaurants are nice but pricey. Every night they have this fun waterfall show and there was various enjoyable entertainment during the week. It is a bit of a strange set up in terms of where your deluxe room is. Basically, it is a room within a villa. Doors to other rooms are locked off. the only thing we felt was a little weird was having to walk past someone else's terrace to get to ours. No biggie everyone is nice. Note...we only had "neighbors" for a night and then no one else was in the villa so I can't comment on noise etc. This property is very central and easy to navigate around the island from here. The entrance is gated and very safe. We are very chill people and enjoyed our stay there. Hope this helps!!

But…. So the hotel rooms are clean, well decorated and large. There are two parts to this hotel. the Rif - which just opened. And the original Corendon which is where we stayed. Both beaches are protected by a break wall - which makes swimming safe for families with relatively calm waters. Overall the beach at the original hotel is better. It’s larger than the Rif’s beach and here is the most important part - you don’t have one of the 2 daily 15 story cruise ships towering over you while you’re laying on a lounger or swimming - and completely blocking the view! Don’t get me wrong - you can still see the ships from our beach too but at least it’s not directly in front of you (turning your ocean view into an ocean liner view.) You can still see most of the horizon from the main hotel. They come in 2 at a time Monday to Friday and stay from around 8am-6pm so you only get two days cruse ship free. . If you’re a pool person this may not bother you. We stayed in the part of the resort furthest from the ships so it was fine. The Ala carte restaurants were good - hubby said the bbq was fabulous. We didn’t try the sushi, but the Italian and seafood were also quite good. The buffet was redundant and lacklustre. And strangely had the pasta chef only cooking at lunch not dinner. Food quality was good. But it seemed only half the restaurant was set up to be used so choices were… like I said average and not abundant. Def not up to the standard or choices one might find at say a riu. The location is great 10 min walk to downtown, we made the trip a few times. The staff was okay - there was often a scramble at the buffet to find a clean table that’s been set up. Staff doesn’t serve you at all- they only clean up and put down place settings. There’s a drink and coffee station available with everything from coffee and juice to pop, wine and beer. The smoothie bar was fun and beach bar staff were nice but slow. The front desk staff was helpful, for the most part. I did order towels one day and they never showed up. The towel bar had an attendant but the one that was there the most was to say the least- disinterested. Though there was an older lady there one day who was super nice. The pool is lovely but I’m a beach girl so I barely used it. They only have one shop on the property and it’s pricy. I had to buy two T-shirts, a bathing suit, a brush and sunscreen (my luggage was delayed (thanks air Canada and Pearson.) and it was over $230 American. And they weren’t anything special. I paid less the next day when I went to Victoria secret in town and bought underwear and another t-shirt! They have a fun water park play area that’s part of the resort it’s up near the entrance - we didn’t use it but if our kids were there it would have been fun. My step mom was with us and she uses a walker and sometimes wheelchair and it was very wheelchair friendly. And they were kind enough to put her on the main floor close to the beach and amenities.. and were able to move us next to her the next day, Overall it’s a decent place. Maybe 3+ star to 4.

We were pleasantly surprised with our trip to Dreams Curacao in January 2024. The service the staff at the hotel provide was good. Our room was a bit dated but it was clean, everything worked and was well maintained. Clean beach towels were provided every morning at the pool, The resort is not to far from the airport maybe a 20 minute drive. Our room faced the ocean on the 5th floor with a magnificent view. At times it was noisy at night time but never past 11:30pm.

The resort was great for our trip. We rented a car to explore the island so mainly came back to the resort during the evening. The room was clean, comfy bed, nice sitting area outside. The shuttle to the beach, groceries, and downtown was convenient. Definitely book a massage at the spa, it is well worth it. The grounds were clean and well kept.

I would first like to say we did make the best out of our circumstances. The location is beautiful and the waters are crystal clear. Just not impressed with the upgrade, amenities and many services. The Air Canada tour package ‘Beach Escape with Sea Turtles’ for $85 USD per person to see flamingos in the wild, swim with Greenback sea turtles, visit a couple of beautiful beaches and a seaside beach lunch was worth the money. It was more reasonable than the resort packages. We also went for an introductory scuba dive through Ocean Encounters for $135 USD each. I use to dive but let my ticket lapse. My wife had never dove. It was a spectacular dive. We saw a coral reef rebuilding project and many varieties of sea life. Our dive instructor Leroy (from Netherlands) was excellent instructor. We visited Willemstraat via local bus for $4 USD each return fare ($2 USD one way). Willemstraat is an old colonial dutch town with colourful buildings, a bridge that pivots sideways, a free local ferry, shops and markets. Very colourful and artistic town. We never felt harrassed by anyone, especially in the town centre market. Below we have summarized (sort of) our Sunscape Curacao Resort experience. The resort overall is in serious need of maintenance and repairs. Below summarizes issues with different areas of the resort. What made much of our stay tolerable were some of the staff. Of whom I will mention by name later on. When we arrived in the Sun Club Office/Reception, along with several others, we had to wait over 1/2 an hour to be registered as Sun Club Members. General patrons were checked in at the main front desk within a very short period of time. In fact, after the general patrons were checked in, the staff from the main front desk came to assist the Sun Club Reception. We were told the resort was recently acquired by the Hyatt brand ad that they were going through a change. Our friends in room# 8213 had an ocean view with King bed, quite spacious with large balcony. Their bar had champagne, beverages and a fruit plate. Our room# 8216 was a partial ocean view, a tiny triangular balcony (with barely enough room to sit) and was stocked with 4 different cans of pop and 2 - 1/2 sized bottles of beer. Neither couple received robes. Robes were part of this package. Our room was quite dated and warn. Stains on the pillows and dresser counters not clean. Debris from past patrons still on balcony (burnt match sticks and crumbs). The bed was musty and smelt unclean. We politely complained to Timothy the night manager. He said our rooms were the same. I said that it may be considered that from his point of view but that we felt it was most definitely not. Timothy gave me a difficult time and insisted they were at 100% capacity. We’ve had yet to see this as appears sparse with patrons. He finally agreed to change our room the next day, around 5pm. I asked to see the room first before moving. The next day after 5:30pm, we received a new room on 3rd floor room# 8303 (from room# 8216). We lost a sofa, still had same same balcony size, a slightly better view. We went from an Eastern view to Western view. We benefitted by not having a morning sun glaring on us while eating breakfast. The room was cleaner. The bed wasn’t musty but sheets still had stains. We did receive 2 robes and gained a wall bottle opener. We still weren’t happy but decided that we didn’t want to waste our vacation on room changes. Our friends requested a room change a couple of days later from room# 8213. Our one friend developed a leg issue which left her struggling to get up and down stairs and walking long distances. The next day around 5:30pm, they were given a ground room# 6102 in non Sun Club member area. They still had access to the Sun Club privileges. Their room had a modern toilet that flushed without holding down the tank lever for 1-2 minutes. Such an embarrassing situation in the morning when it takes a long time to flush. Overall, their room was actually not much different than ours. We have no idea what the Sun Club room upgrades were. House Keeping Issues - Refilled in room coffee station only 3 times. Our daily mission while walking to an amenity was always to ask a housekeeper …when we can find one…for coffee, cream and sugar. - Bathmat was removed towards end of week and never replaced - One morning housekeeping didn’t wipe off or sanitize our in room dining table. The table was sticky from breakfast room service. Spilled juice etc. - Overall, daily housekeeping cleaning wasn’t fantastic. A few days we had sandy floors. Dining - The restaurants have varying policies on dress code. We were told by a security staff that what we were wearing was not appropriate for the ocean front grill on our first night. My wife was wearing a skirt and a tank top. When we returned, people wearing ‘Rock Band’ type T’s and casual shorts were allowed in. Even people were let into buffet with bathing suits on when the sign clearly stated ‘No Bathing Suits or Bare Feet’. Very confusing. - Wait times for restaurants are more than 90 min. Except for Hititsu Teppanyaki Bar you can’t make reservations, so you have to wait around the other restaurants after you place your name on a list. The buffet was also a bit of a wait. Apparently they are short staffed at some restaurants so wait times were often more than a couple of hours. - The food wasn’t great. Portions at A La Carte restaurants were quite small. Once waited 2+ hours to receive a full sized plate loaded with only 1/5 of it in salad and small entree. Quite frustrating. As to order more would again take quite awhile to receive. The Italian restaurant, Da Mario’s, Teppanyaki at Hititsu Teppanyaki and the buffet were the worst. - Da Mario’s pasta was Al Dente but most sauces were terrible and seafood over cooked and dry. - Teppanyaki at Hititsu was not Teppanyaki. It was more like a stir fry. Tiny pieces of chopped pork, beef and chicken served with stir fried rice, scrambled eggs and stir fried frozen vegetables is not Teppanyaki. Not flavourful. - For breakfast, fresh OJ at buffet and concentrate most other places including room service. Da Mario’s Italian restaurant’s A La Cart breakfast had instant (much like Tang or Sunny D). Oddly, Da Mario’s served ham & cheese crepe with chocolate sauce drizzled all over the plate. - Buffet always late to open. One morning we had to meet in the hotel lobby by 8am for an excursion and almost didn’t have food to eat. However, I met 2 older couples (Eastern European) who barged in at 7:20am (I was in the front of the line) and they turned to me and said “We’ve been here 4 weeks and they are suppose to be open at 7am so wait if you want to but we’re eating”…. Loved them! I followed them in. No issues. - Ice cream bar rarely had someone on duty. One time we waited over 20 minutes. Staff from the kitchen saw us, walked away, never to be served. Sun Club Member Issues Pool - Can’t swim in any pool after 6pm. Never experienced that before at a resort. We did out of defiance even after security verbally said to get out but never returned to enforce. We were quiet and respectful. - Also, tired of pool cleaning in Sun Club being done last. They start the general area around 5am….I know this because I was up to work out at that time…. Then they would clean ours last starting around 8:30-8:45am which lasts anywhere up to an hour. So my wife and others couldn’t do laps unless up early. Pool gets busy after 9am. Yes people could rise earlier but it’s a holiday. Our Sun Club pool area should be completed first. - There was supposed to be to be an adults only hot tub. We finally found it. It was not heated. Cool water like the pools. Our friend loves hot tubs but not able to enjoy it this vacation. Sun Club Bars - Premium Top shelf Alcohol is always limited, not top shelf (Jim Beam, Absolute, Dewars). We always joked that it’s Top Shelf because those bottles were literally on the top shelf. Ran out of Bailey's after 3 days. So 3 days of good morning coffee. Very limited alcohol selection. We have a SunClub bar by our pool and no Baileys or many other ‘Top Shelf’ alcohol that the lobby bar has. Always have to go to Lobby bar, which is a fair distance away, wait in line to get what we want. - The Sun Club bar for premium alcohol has a short window. Closes at 5pm. So if we take an excursion that day, we’re out of luck. We had to go all the way to the lobby bar to get ’Top Shelf’ access. Unlike the pool bar, the lobby bar you are required to wear a shirt. So that added more to our journey. - I may seem obsessed about this but No Baileys 4 days in a row! The last 4 days. Entertainment - Lounge Bar (by entertainment area near scuba centre) for dancing always closed. Suppose to be open 11pm-2pm. Apparently we heard from staff that since COVID, this lounge has been closed for 3 years and only recently updated on web site. When we booked it hadn’t been updated. Very misleading and disappointing. We love dancing. - Rock climbing wall was much smaller than web site shows. - No batting cage. We asked and everyone looked at us like confused. - No movies on the beach. Sun Club Customer Service - Calling SunClub Concierge is extremely challenging. - Tried calling for maintenance, gave up. Went to Sun Club office to request unclogging of bathroom sink & repair faucet handle as handle comes off. A couple of days later a maintenance man came by to unclog our bathroom sink. Faucet was never repaired. - None of the chairs throughout Sun Club area had seat cushions for patio/balcony chairs. Called to request balcony chair cushions. On the line for 15 minutes, only to hear they will pass the message on to house keeping. Never to receive them. Later that day while walking to another resort area, we spoke to housekeeping staff. We gave our room number with a request for 4 balcony chairs seat cushions. The cushions came a couple hours later, only to receive 2 cushions. We gave up and settled with the 2 seat cushions. - Stocking our room fridge was always an issue. We had it stocked twice in the entire stay. One of those times was when we arrived and the other occurred when the room service bar attendant was rolling past our suite. In the beginning of our trip I called daily for a few days. The phone would ring 15-20 minutes. We gave up. Even complained to Sun Club Office. They would write things down but nothing was done about it. We gave up. Room Service - Our first morning, the breakfast room service app was not usable. We could scroll through it and navigate but the actual ordering could not be preformed on the app. We ordered by calling. Took a long while to answer. However we did receive breakfast in 30 min. The poached eggs and toast were great. The fresh melon was as well but the addition of sliced ‘canned peaches and pears’ was very odd. Odd reflection of fruit in a tropical place. One day ordered 1 poached egg and received 3 poached eggs of which 1 had 1/2 an egg shell still attached. The last few day we were told 30-45 min. Waited 1 1/2 hrs and only received 1/2 our order. No cream & sugar for coffee. Dinners were delivered within an hour so no complaints . Sun Club Beach Front - Often sewer gas smells permeated while resting on beach. Very unpleasant. - No resort Wifi available on end of beach in Sun Club area. The day before we left we went to the Sun Club Office to arrange to have an extra hour late check out. They normally charge for this but Ariela arranged as a complimentary request. The next day Zaraya made sure our keys were coded for this request. There is a guest suite that is complimentary but this was more of a convenience for us as the shuttle pick up was 2pm. Ariela and Zaraya provided the best service for us in Sun Club Office. The last day when we were packed and waiting in front lobby for our shuttle to the airport, I met the hotel GM, Oswaldo. He proceeds to ask me how our stay was. By this point I had complained enough. So i didn’t get into details. I did say our stay was not pleasant but many of the staff were very nice. I mentioned the staff we had the best encounters with; - Zoraida - Sun Club Pool bar tender. Sweet woman who went out of her way to have the hotel purchase bitters for our Old Fashions. It took the hotel nearly the entire week to get it but on the last day we had it. So we enjoyed 2 Old Fashions before we left. We tipped her. - Quella - A floating bar tender. We had her at several bars and she was excellent. Great personality. We tipped her. Oswaldo went on to say that he was flown in from Cancun and that the resort has just been acquired by Hyatt and that there are many changes to be made. I told him that I use to in the hotel industry as a pastry chef and I understand much of what goes on. This was not impressive. He said for me to answer survey when sent. So this much of this will be copied and pasted in my various reviews. I know this is a long review. I had to condense it as best as I could. There are other details I could mention but this is enough to get a picture of our experience. Most people we spoke to at the resort had the same issues and other problems as well. Like I stated in the beginning, we made the best of a bad situation. Never arguing with anyone. Always trying to find resolution maturely. In no way do I blame Trip Central. Our agent Candice has always provided excellent service.

Overall, the trip was good. My wife and I have been to dozens of all-inclusive resorts in every country imaginable, and I'll provide a quick primer of what was lacking relative to other top-end experiences. This isn't meant to be critical, but informative so that you know what you're going to get. There is not enough staff at the bars and restaurants. period! This is not to say that staff isn't pleasant and helpful, but you wait extended periods for anything. This is the result of the "no tipping policy" at Sandals, as there is little incentive to speed things up. This also applies to housecleaning and in-room amenity services. On two separate days our room was left without cleaning, and we were at the pool by 8am until 4pm every day. Our AC didn't work in the room, and they sent maintenance to our room 5 times to fix the issue without any solutions. It was disappointing that they didn't even offer to switch our room, as the nights were muggy. Food was good (especially dinners), but they lacked some basic items that other top-end resorts offer. I noticed this most at the breakfast buffet. Drinks were good, but they routinely ran out of premium alcohols, or you had to go to another area of the resort to get "your drink". This might seem picky/snobby, but it was annoying that I was the one travelling to get my drink of choice on vacation. I also noticed that they filled premium bottles with non-premium booze, thinking people wouldn't notice. Not the end of the world, but sketchy. Staff allows guests to reserve pool chairs at the crack of dawn (6am/7am) with towels. The issue with this type of behavior is that many people do not return until 11/noon, which is pretty disrespectful to those that want to enjoy the morning. Gym and spa were good, as was evening entertainment. Don't miss out on the food trucks, pizza and dessert snacks. The trip was decent.

The resort was clean food was ok but the service was terrible. Had to wait for at least 5-10 minutes to be served with just a glass of water. Staff not at all pleasant. Some days, there was a shortage of plates, cutlery. I could not believe that maple syrup was watered down. I certainly would not recommend the resort to my family and friends

It was truly a vacation to remember. The food was the best we ever had at a resort. The staff were welcoming, polite, and so helpful. Did not meet one person that was having a bad day. The weather was perfect. A breeze and sunshine for 7 days. Not a drop of rain. The grounds were maintained daily. Only negative is if you cannot walk far, it is a big resort. Walking from one end to the other was quite a distance. The bakery made the best crepes. It was more than we expected. Can’t wait to go back!!
