Lovely hotel, though not a five star as advertised. Four star. Positives: Lovely grounds, clean rooms, good views, friendly staff, nice pools, tasty food, good wi-fi. Things that could be improved upon. - Our balcony, while it had a lovely view, there was some garbage on the grass. The drinks were tasty, somewhat weak, lacking fruit garnishes. Signage in the restaurants should include "out of respect for other patrons, please keep cell phones on silent". Never have we experienced so many people on their phones on SPEAKER in the dining rooms. We feel if this was a more upscale resort, management would have addressed this. The air conditioning in the French restaurant was so cold, patrons were wearing Coats!. The reasoning was that the humidity make the floors slippery. We understand that, but there should be a plan for better comfort. All in all, a good week away. Would recommend with a few tweaks.

The hotel is on the smaller side of chain hotels but did not disappoint however we are not picky travelers. The staff were amazing, grounds were kept really well, rooms spotless. Food was average to good. The Indian Restaurant turning out to be our favorite! Nightly entertainment was a hit and miss some nights better than others but still entertaining none the less. Bars close early there so this is not a party resort. Nothing to do after 11pm but that was just fine with us. Beach is great for snorkelers, bring water shoes and be cautious of the sea urchins.

We have stayed at four Royalton resorts now. This one would be rated fourth. Don't get me wrong the view from the swim up rooms was amazing but that's where the amazing ended. The beach is very rocky and you have to pick your spot to walk in. The food I would only rate a 2 out of 5. They could work more on their butler skills as well. One we had was awesome so shout out to Quavar. On the other hand Brad out other butler we felt like we were inconveniencing him and he didn't even want to be there We always make the best of everywhere we go but we definitely will not be returning here.

I stayed here for a week in April and the resort was lovely, clean and the food was fantastic. The beaches were beautiful although a bit rocky getting into to the water but once in it was beautiful. I would say not as grandeur as other Royalton Resorts I have stayed at but still a wonderful resort. The staff are amazing and so friendly it made it easy to relax. Rooms were standard and very clean. Overall it was a very relaxing vacation and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

This overall was a good resort. Room was clean and updated. A lot of stairs! Be mindful if you have mobility issues. Beach was very nice. Rocky in some areas. Food was good. Always something to eat ( I am gf and staff always helpful). Staff were helpful, friendly, no issues...you get what you give!

Great location. Place is nice but needs some repair here and there. Lounge chairs are fine enough but no cushions and get uncomfortable. Maybe they are not keeping up?Owner is nice man but older. Watched workers chat together for three hours once day and not do any work. Wrist band door openers were too easy to fall off and had to fight to get a new one without a $20 u.s. charge - keep it in a bag. Staff is mostly nice (Brant is amazing) but too many are not very outgoing - people don’t seem happy and it affected the information and advice on things as they limited interaction. Food okay but too expensive for some meals just like Fiesta night. Tacos are tacos. It’s four star true, but could be so much more. It’s the little things.

A Beautiful Escape with One Notable Drawback The gardens at this hotel are absolutely stunning lush, well-maintained, and perfect for peaceful morning walks or quiet afternoons surrounded by nature. It truly feels like a retreat. The beach is gorgeous and remarkably clean. There are a few rocky spots, but they're easy to avoid if you know where to swim, and they actually make for excellent snorkeling. The staff deserve special mention. Every single person we encountered was friendly, warm, and genuinely welcoming. Their constant smiles and helpful attitude made us feel right at home. My only real complaint is the food. For the price point of this hotel, I expected more. The variety was limited, popular items ran out quickly unless you arrived early, and some dishes were simply unavailable. It didn't quite match the quality of everything else. Overall, this is a wonderful hotel with beautiful grounds and exceptional service. Just set your expectations for the dining experience, or plan to eat out occasionally although the island is particularly expensive.

Great food, great service. Amazing beach. Love the people. Was nice seeing all the familiar faces we saw the first time we were there. Highly recommend. Very safe country. The spice bazaar in the city is a fun time.

We came with another couple to celebrate my 60th birthday. We had a beautiful room with the view of the ocean. We had Diamond club and was so worth it. The only downside to the room was there was absolutely no water pressure in the shower. There were no upgraded amenities. We had booked diamond club too.We ended up getting some amenities after a couple days talking to our butler. Speaking of our butler, we had Casey and Jermisha. Casey was the one that was around most of the week the other, one we saw her once or twice during our stay. Casey is such a wonderful person and she was so good to my husband and I she is definitely an asset to your resort. Only thing is I felt bad for the butlers here it is 90+ degrees and these poor women and men are catering to everybody at the resort with long sleeves on a vest and long pants. I really think their uniform should be short sleeves, and nice pair of walking shorts. It’s just too hot to be wearing all them clothes. I felt so sad for them and they work hard. Now about the food, we were very disappointed. The only restaurant we liked was the French the other two we did not. We knew going in that there was only three à la carte restaurants. I hate eating at a buffet, but at least with diamond club you could have an à la carte breakfast, which was great. We enjoyed eating at nibbles and the server that we had for breakfast and at nibbles Devon he was great. We really enjoyed him serving us. The other thing we were a little bit, disappointed about was neither one of our butlers had reserved an à la carte restaurant on our first night so we had no choice to go to the buffet. We’ve had butlers before in other resorts we’ve gone to, and they usually have your à la carte restaurant booked for you the first night so that was a little bit disappointing as I hate buffets. Overall, we had a great vacation not sure if we would come back to this hotel just because of the food choices as there isn’t very many, but the staff were very friendly and of course Casey are Butler she was the best. we had wonderful weather sunny every day and hot. We did find that it was a little bit overpriced for what we paid and got but it is situated in a beautiful location..

Gorgeous resort, Grenada people are one of the most friendliest people you will ever meet. The beaches are so beautiful. The food n entertainment was just ok. I didn't like the fact there was no elevator to get up and down. The resort seemed very hot n humid in the lobby area n some restaurants. But overall amazing n beautiful. It would be nice if they could restrict one of the pools for adults only...and make a Boardwalk to the Aquarium restaurant alongside the beach. Most likely I will return as I had a relaxing pleasant vacation in Grenada

Just returned from our stay in Grenada. Hotel is located in a beautiful setting with gorgeous grounds and nice beach. There is a lot of coral so some parts are hard to use. Resort is clean and rooms are moderate. Here is where our issue was... Food and service were not up to Royalton standards. Pretty much like all the other reviews we read including on the Royalton grenada Facebook group. They would need to step this part up. I have been in travel for over 24 years and traveled to almost every single All inclusive destination in the Caribbean so can compare. And have stayed at Royalton previously. We had a great holiday because we made it that but I'm actually surprised Royalton lets this hotel run the way it does. Gives them a bad name.

We did our 3 rd trip to Grenada thanks to Karol Chareza. We stayed at coyoba beach under Karol’s recommendations. The resort is beautiful. The beach is 2 kms long with crystal blue waters. If you want heat, this is the place. It’s not a huge resort so you get first class treatment. No fighting for beach chairs or loud pounding music all day. The food is great and staff are amazing. This is a hidden gem. You won’t be disappointed.

We had an amazing experience at Royalton Grenada. We were in the diamond club area and were treated extremely well. Our butlers Quaver and Kebra took care of many of our needs such as dinning reservations but also assisted with off site excursions. The island is spectacular and staff and offsite contacts with residents were exceptional. We have never met such friendly people and welcoming staff in all our travels. The island is so worth exploring. Our room was a beach walk unit which was breathtaking. To get picky, the swim up bar was disappointing. No bar tender at the swim up although there is accommodation to have guests sit in the pool. Need to get out of pool for drinks. Nightly entertainment was lacklustre with the exception of the last night Reggie music. Lighting in the bathroom was insufficient. Storage space for clothes was inadequate.Dining was good for the most part but don’t order lobster. We had a great experience at the Royalton.

Honest and heart felt review I’m a HUGE Royalton fan and LOVE our stays with them. The Island is so worth visiting and there is so much beauty to explore. You must go into town!! We took a Bus into St. George from Royalton at $20 EC Money ( Eastern Caribbean is their money. We are from Canada and we try not to buy US it’s such a loss for us. There is so much to see on this Island and worth exploring. This Hotel is in the making of Royalton Standards in my opinion. Staff has expressed they are always working to improve the property. It’s an amazing place by all means but if you’ve been other Royaltons you will be disappointed in ways. It’s lacking in many ways compared to other places 1. The Property is well kept but still needs some TLC from the Hurricane and it being a preowned building. They are lacking in Pools in my opinion as they are only two for regular bookings- Third pool is DC and not very big. 2. The Beaches They have 4 Beach areas and they are very nice but you NEED water shoes to swim. The Coral is all along the Beach Shores in most the shore line and you will cut your feet if not careful. There is a Coral Reef all along the Royalton Sea area it’s great for snorkeling but also be careful when The waves get moving it will cut you up. The far Beach is almost pure sand and the best for walking in but has no Bar or Service below. This Far Beach is very private and Quiet. The Snorkling is amazing when the waves aren’t rolling like crazy Again Be careful the waves get big and the undertoe is powerful. The Beach Sunsets are amazing and the chairs are plentiful . We Loved the DC Beach Side as is close to the pool, Nibbles and Great Sun beds. It’s open to ALL GUESTS The food at Nibbles is the best - Great Jerk wings - Amazing Burgers ect ect In my opinion it can get boring here at times but it’s the vibe of the island also not just the Hotel. The people are laid back and chill and I’m okay with that at times but I’m a busy body so I need things We Loved the night life in other Countries and we still remember how amazing it was. The Shows are okay but nothing I will be left with a wow factor It was Fun but nothing like the other Royaltons we have visited. The rooms are clean and well kept Smaller than usual in many ways but we had an amzing view. We were in buliding 14 on the tthird floor with Ocean front view. We have had some Outstanding service at the Taj restaurant, The Coffee Shop and The Front desk Staff. The staff are a little too laid back at the bars and Buffett at times but I think under paid. PLEASE Tip your couple bucks it makes a HUGE difference in these peoples lives. The Food was Good but not amazing. We arrived Sunday and that night was very Blah at the Buffet and sometimes we waited for water far too long. A Smile from staff would have made you feel welcomed but some nights the Marche was missing that from the greeters. They sincerely look very unhappy and it shows on their faces. I barely saw them being tipped and they are turning over tables cleaning up after us still. Thursdays to Saturday it seems to me they have a Different Chef and Dining room Staff. Grenadian night was amazing and Delious food. Weekend Buffet was much better than Sun- Wed We LOVED TAJ it was amazing And the service was 5 star for us. Try as many apps as you can and book 48hrs before hand. We had Loved the French but it wasn’t really French food in my opinion but still tasty. The Italian was lovely and 3/4 star for us and we ordered a few mains to Explore the menu. “EAT THE ICE CREAM ? EVERY Flavour - WOW just amazing real ice cream with great flavours. Coconut and Rum Raisin are amazing. Bring Binoculars if you can to see the town and mountains. I would also Bring good shoes to walk the town. You can see so much in the mountains and even HOLD A MONA MONKEY Tip Black man he’s working hard for you to see them. That’s his nick name Although I called him The Monkey man lol Over all I would say you will have a great stay if your not comparing like I have from what I’m used to. You will be away in the sun and making memories. Soak up your blessings and just know this is a small island with some shortages . They are truly in many areas giving The 5 star they have to offer. We Got lots of sun and were in Bed by 11pm most nights ready to soak up the sunshine again the next day Much Love to Grenada and their peoples. God Bless your Land today and always

We recently stayed at the Royalton in Grenada. The resort itself was amazing . Beautiful views and clean and tidy rooms and grounds. The service was subpar for a Royalton and after numerous complaints no resolve.

For the most part we were pleased with the Resort. The room we were assigned on check in was not acceptable, a terrible, strong musty smell. We notified the front desk and were eventually provided with another room. We also had a problem with service at the French restaurant. We eventually just left and went to the Buffet. We had waited about an hour and a half before leaving. We saw many patrons who arrived after us receive their orders and leave . The staff were great, friendly, helpful etc. The food at the Buffet and service was also very good and had many varied selections. We also enjoyed the entertainment in the evenings. There was always an abundance of fresh beach towels. Coffee in the morning was only available at the ice cream, pastries and coffee shop. Every morning there was a large number of people waiting. We mentioned to Mgmt that having a self serve coffee urn available in the morning would be effective in addressing the long wait. If you do not have a cell phone you were unable to participate in a number of things, this did not seem right.

We feel completely ripped off on this vacation. We purchased the Diamond Club package which boasted upgraded amenities, alcohols, swim up bar service and NONE of that was offered. 1. Swim up bars ALL closed and have been for more than a year 2. Staff are miserable and make you feel stress due to their unhappiness 3. Restaurants and lunch venues were ALL missing items every time we went 4. Butlers never showed up once on our vacation 5. Had to fight to even get an iron or club soda 6. Diamond Club lounge had cold finger foods that had been cooked and sat out for hours 7. Cock roaches in the stairwell for days without being cleaned 8. Wait times between courses was ridiculous (waited 1 hour and 15 minutes between salad course and main entree in the French restaurant as an example and when the entree arrived, the steak was thin and full of grissle but they recommend an upgrade to a tenderloin for $120 USD? What a joke). 9. Ocean almost impossible to enter. Full of large rock along the front edge and could be made available if the hotel actually cared. 10. Service is horrible at best. Rooms are out-dated and we had area rugs beside the beds that were black with dirt and stained. Gross. 11. Food quality is that of a 2 star hotel, not a 4 plus. Buffet was the same every day....low quality and the same food day after day 12. My sister fell at the pool and staff didn't care if she was hurt or not. Her drinks splashed all over other guests and she asked the bartender to see if someone could clean it and the bartender said "there's nobody around to do that now" as she stood there with a mop in her hand. My sister ended up cleaning it up with a glass of water. Disgusting behaviour! 13. Diamond Club Manager said he'd call me back the next morning after I aired my concerns with the service and lack of promise to what I paid for and he never called back the ENTIRE trip. This hotel I believe is owned by Marriott. I feel that this has been extremely mis-represented. Between my wife and I, my sister an brother-in-law, we spent $16,000 to visit this resort based on false promises promoted on your website. This should be ILLEGAL. I may need to seek legal help as we have been duped.

Paid for diamond service and received anything but Were better off staying out of diamond service and would of received better service, more friendly staff and would of been much happier and closer to amenities Did not have access to swim up bar because it has been closed for approximately a year, top shelf alcohol was extremely limited, butler service was a joke even with tipping Not access to acceptable food at diamond club section and believe it or not, there was not one ice machine on the premises Definitely not a five star resort- at best 3.5 Very disappointed due to false advertising and would not of picked this vacation because there is much better value out there

The beach was spectacular. It is a public beach but we felt safe taking our loungers off the private property to relax closer to the water. There were a few vendors, but they were not persistent and left us alone once we said "no thanks." The Coyaba property is beautiful and very well maintained. The landscaping was gorgeous and we would have loved to partake in the "garden tour" but timing didn't work out. We requested ground floor and side by side rooms which we got and while they were both clean, they were a bit dated. The food was hit or miss in either the relaxed pool side restaurant, or the more formal restaurant. Too often it was buffet style and there was a bit of repetition. That said, in both locations, we had some absolutely delicious meals just not often enough. We were all "retired" travellers (sisters), and the average age of most guests were very much the same demographic. There was some entertainment every other night and it was pretty good - local singers and musicians. It might have been nice to have a bit more.

Would love to come back. Happy with the food, very happy with the friendly staff and service. Loved the beaches. Grenada is a delightful island with warm, friendly and proud people. Wish we could have stayed much longer.

Beautiful resort with a lot of nature. My only concern was the variety of food. Personally travelling to the island I want to indulge in non American foods. I only experienced breakfast during my stay and for the most part I was having the same food everyday. It’s be nice to have breadfruit, baked and salt fish, plantain, more foods from the island

The grounds were lovely and well kept. The staff was beyond helpful and everyone was so happy to see you at any given time of the day! Food, spectacular! Rooms, perfect! The pools were perfect and the sea was so clear and warm!

We had an amazing time at the Royalton in Grenada. The grounds were beautiful. The staff was eager to please. The rooms were fantastic and the beach was lovely. If I did go back, I don’t think I would book the Diamond Club. For the extra money that we paid, I felt it wasn’t worth it.

Honest review as we wait to go to airport. 1. Arrival and check-in. It's a little unsettling to pass over your passport and then see staff walking around with a stack of them looking for the owner's. Got ours back. Rum punch was nice idea could be better executed as it's way too sweet and strong. 2. Bellman helped with bags when we arrived as we were on 3rd floor but at week's end, even though they called to make a time to pick up our bags we waited 1 hour past the time and still no show so we had to carry our bags down 3 flights 3. Room . Got exactly what we paid for as non DC and non ocean view. it was clean. Comfy beds. The towels were always changed and fridge refreshed with water daily. Decent vanity space and large shower with lots of warm water. 4. Vibe club. Total miss here. Played deafening music that was some version of rap with a heavy base beat that went right through you. It made it impossible to stay at the pool. Even when asked, they did not change music for long. Average age was 50+ and I can't believe I was the only one annoyed by this. Didn't see any engagement with the vibe team as they seemed to be talking to each other or on their phones. 5. Fitness. Morning yoga was great as were the twice weekly off property walks. Only went to aquafit once due to timing but it was good also. I'm a Morning person so did not do yoga in afternoon but assuming it was as great as morning. Shout out to Kelson and Jeremy. Didn't use the gym but it looked well equipped. Always had bottles of water. 6. Cafe. Great cappuccino and always cold bottles of water. I tried the cinnamon sugar donut, yummy! 7. Bars well stocked and service pretty good overall. Good white wine, always nice and cold, and good proseco 8. Food. A huge miss here. MA maison and Taj both really good but nothing exceptional. Don't waste your time at Grazzi for either lunch or dinner. Breakfast buffet was consistently good with made to order omelets. Lunch and dinner at buffet was inconsistent. Some days pretty good and others dismal. All fish was terribly over cooked. Too much chicken. Nibbles for lunch was OK and conveniently located. 9. Service. We always had great service but we approached the staff wigh respect and kindness and tipped as appropriate. The service is The only reason that it's a good resort- save the bellman debacle at checkout. We tipped where deserved but a smile and a kind word did wonders to gaining a positive interaction. Any questions, just ask 10. Excursions. We did private with Dave's tours. Exactly what we asked for. Would recommend 11. Spa. Very professional and the 2 treatments I had were great! 12. Beach. Best for swimming was the small beach where water sports are located. DC Beach was rockiest. Middle beach always had lots of loungers and pretty views. Could use more shade umbrellas. 13. Safety. Very safe island. Took taxi into town. It's expensive. Also took the local bus by myself with no issues. I recommend this adventure!!

AIR CANADA VACATIONS-Grenada Tour No.22819788 TRIPCENTRAL RECORD No. DJZNHF 4 Mar-11Mar 2024 ROYALTON GRENADA LUXURY ROOM OCEANVIEW (The following comments are unlikely to apply to “The Diamond Club” which occupies a separate area.) The hotel occupies a large area and has 9 residential buildings, each with 24 units in 3 stories arranged around a huge rock formation. The web listing shows: 44 Luxury Oceanview Rooms 39 Luxury Oceanfront Rooms. There is no indication as to which building and which floor each of these listings applies. Our assigned “Luxury Room Oceanview” was 14302, at the top of the property and on the 3rd floor. The 3 main restaurants are located in the main building which means that an 88 year old woman with arthritis and a 90 year old man were obliged to walk 320 steps and 84 steps on staircases, up and down, 3 times each day in 30 degree temperatures.There are no elevators or escalators on the property. We were able to access the beach area only twice during our stay. ( There are electric carts for transportation within the grounds but, the wait times are long as it seems that only I or 2 are available at any time. At checkout, the bell captain made a reservation for a cart to take us and the luggage to the lobby; no cart was available and we had to walk with a porter dragging our luggage down to the lobby.) The room listings should provide an indication of the building location and the floor level of each price listed. Our “Luxury Room Oceanview” was a very standard room having no second chair, no mirror in the bed area. There was mold in the shower stall. AC 1337 –Return flight At times there was a steady stream of Economy Class passengers coming through the dividing curtains to use the Business Class washroom. At such times the Business Class washroom was unavailable to us. No effort was being made by the Cabin Crew to confront this ingress. Leonard Ross Floyd

It is been my first time vacationing at Royalton Luxury Resort. Very professional, friendly staff - well mannered, organized and helpful. I liked the gym/aqua activity coordinators, lots of ENERGY! Very clean environment beautiful gardens. Food and service in restaurants also very good. Excellent place for vacationing.

We were there February 18 to 25. The resort is beautiful, amenities are good, beach is fantastic, view from oceanfront room is fabulous. Food was not the best we had in another resorts, but was more or less okey, service was good.The important negative points: 1) room has strong smell of mold. Several other visitors of the resort confirmed the same. 2) be aware of stomach virus there. Both my husband and me got sick last day of our vacation and know other people who got sick too. The reviews from month ago mentioned the same, so this problem is ongoing for some time. These two negatives are the reason we can not recommend this hotel unfortunately

Stayed at diamond club walkout (DC) The perks for DC at this Royalton are not the same as others. They do not have a dedicated lounge. It is the check-in area with a small bar and food. The DC building is located a distance from the buffet, the lobby bar, the café, the Italian restaurant, the French restaurant, the Indian restaurant, and the water sports. You do receive premium liquor, robes and slippers, and a larger room. The dedicated beach has plenty of loungers, so there is no issue regarding reserving. 95% shaded. There are three bars located on the beach near the DC area one bar located centrally on the beach. No issue regarding reservations at the restaurants I had a man walk up to the restaurant at 7:15 asking if there was a 730 availability and he was granted The buffet is quite lacking in all areas, but they hired a new food and beverage manager three months ago, so it should be on the rise soon there is a small restaurant located on the beach beside DC called nibbles open for everyone for lunch usually a barbeque chicken, pork hamburgers, etc. nibbles is only open in the evening for DC guests The water is Crystal clear. Unfortunately, the red flag is out most days. There are large rock formations everywhere on the beach. They have two dedicated areas where you can swim without rocks, but they are very small areas. I saw quite a few skinned knees. The staff is really friendly, but they are extremely slow. Most places definitely island time. I don’t usually mind slow service except when you’ve asked for coffee three times, you’ve finished your breakfast and your coffee arrives. ( DC Italian breakfast buffet ) Grenada is beautiful and safe and so is the resort!

The Radisson Grenada Beach resort has beautiful grounds, an amazing large pool, and an awesome location directly on the best beach in Grenada. We were pretty nervous going in due to all the negative reviews but took a chance because of the location. While it’s true that the rooms are in need of renovation, we really had no complaints about our room, which was on the third floor of the Executive Beachfront building. It is a four story building with one elevator. We heard that the rooms in that building are quite similar to other rooms but more spacious with more spacious bathrooms. The bathroom had one sink with lots of counter space and a bathtub/shower combo. There was an extendable clothesline in the tub. There was a hairdryer and several toiletries (lotion, body wash, conditioner) but no shampoo. Getting hot water in the shower was hit and miss. Outside the bathroom there was a small counter area with a coffee maker, kettle, and mini fridge. Coffee and fixings were provided along with decaffeinated tea but no regular tea. Two bottles of water were provided each day. The bed and bedding were comfortable but the sheets were only changed once in 7 days. There’s a card to put on the bed if a change of sheets is desired. The first time we used the card the sheets were changed but the second time the card was ignored. Other than that housekeeping was okay but not excellent. The balcony was spacious and had a table with two chairs and of course an amazing view. The included breakfast buffet was adequate, not outstanding. There was an omelette station which was very popular. The hotel was quite full when we were there and the service at breakfast was poor to non existent. Several days we had to clear a table ourselves, hunt down cutlery, and no one ever came to offer coffee or tea. It seemed the staff were working hard, there just weren’t enough of them to keep up with the number of guests. Despite how busy the hotel was, we never felt like the pool or the beach were too crowded, and we were always able to find lounge chairs. We never had a problem getting beach towels from the towel hut. We only ate dinner at the hotel one night and found the food to be mediocre. There are several good casual dining options within walking distance along the beach in both directions. There is a boutique store at the resort and a grocery store across the road. If taking US money (which is widely accepted), make sure there are no tiny tears or writing on the bills as they will not be accepted. Overall, we were happy with our stay at the Radisson Grenada.

The staff provided outstanding service, always a broad smile, friendly and helpful. It is a great venue for pure relaxation. I would have appreciated more variety of fruit and fish on the buffet. I would recommend the Royalton to friends and family. Grenada a beautiful island.

Love how close all the bars/pools/beaches were without being crowded! Water was clear and sand white and soft. Waitressing service at pool was awesome!! Omelette station and Crepe station was fantastic and so was self serve mimosas at breakfast!!

A very nice hotel, very clean, the grounds are beautiful with so many different flowers, the staff very helpful and polite always ready to when you need them. We had a wonderful time. One area that needs a lot of improvement is dining, both in food and service. Food is not the best, lacks in variety, quantity and preparation. Buffet is always the same no variety at all and very tasteless, quiet often run out of things (like shrimp, butter, fruit...) and if you went a little later there will only be what others did not want because they were out of most of the food. Even though the staff was very nice they were very slow, something they would bring my coffee after I was done my breakfast. Things like these that made a bit unpleasant. A Carte Restaurant there was a wait of hours even though the restaurant had plenty of empty tables but we were told that that was for the diamond clients, we talk to the manager and he made the reservation for us. One thing that I was surprised is that I would have to pay extra (US$120.00) for a steak if I wanted one. When I go all inclusive I never had to pay for anything.

We stayed at the Royalton in Grenada January 21-28 with 2 other couples, all in the 52-68 range. We had one hillside room, an oceanfront room and one couple stayed in the Diamond Club. The resort was a Rex when my husband and I were there last about 11 years ago with young children - this trip was all adult. Firstly, the ride from the airport is the best - literally 2 minutes from the airport. Don't worry, you don't notice the planes during your stay! Next, the property of this resort is beautiful. I can see that Royalton has added a lot of additional vegetation and flowering plants, which is constantly maintained. The beachfront is very long with worn reefs along much of it, so to swim, you need to find the areas where it is safer to enter. There is also a lot of palms and other trees along much of the beach so there is a lot of shade, and the chairs have cushions on them, so are very comfortable. Towels are plenty and there is no silly sign out of towels and they are always available. The waves can be strong, so care needs to be taken getting in and out of the water, particularly if you are navigating near the large rocks/coral areas. The views are stunning with visibility to the main town and cruise ships to the right of the resort and the temperature of the water was amazing. Vendors do come to the beach and are very kind and respectful. We bought a few things as we always want to support the locals where we can. The rooms are nicer than before as they have been upgraded. The TV and AC were a bit temperamental to figure out at times, but we managed. The toilets flush like an airplane toilet (funny!) and the shower has a rain shower component above which was very nice. No complaints about the room, other than our ocean front room was at the end of the building with a partially obstructed view. We didn't have the energy to change rooms but would ask for a different location if we went back. We tipped the cleaning staff daily. The face and floor towels were not always replaced, nor the 2 beers in the fridge. Food is never our primary reason for travel - we want to have safe, tasty choices and like to try local fare. Like any all inclusive, the food was varied and good enough for a week. We were all able to choose food at the buffet or restaurants that was good, but nothing really blew us away. Except maybe the desserts. In our experience, most resorts do not have desserts worth the calories. However, the desserts in the buffet were delicious - hats off to the pastry chef! On an island that makes chocolate, these might have been the best desserts, but tough competition with the other cakes and squares. YUM! No one in our group had any gastro issues at all. The specialty restaurants were fine. The 2 indoor restaurants, the French and Indian, were heavily air conditioned so take layers! It was freezing! The staff are very helpful and nice, and again, there were no incidents that would make me think otherwise. There are several bars and everyone was happy with the drinks, etc. We didn't see a lot of the entertainment. There is a lot going on with water aerobics at the pools, yoga, etc. The night with the steel band was our favourite - they really got into it and the joy and energy was palpable. Can't say much about the other nights as we typically sat near a bar talking and saw lots of others playing games. We did 2 day trips. One day we rented a catamaran for the day from Grenadines Sailing Escapade and the person's name was Magali. It was a 42' cat which we shared with the 6 of us plus two crew. We had a beautiful day going along the coast, doing some snorkeling and sight seeing. The chef was not available so the resort supplied wraps and sandwiches through the Diamond Club couple, and we took extra fruit and snacks from the morning buffet and grabbed some beers. The boat had a big cooler. It was a bit rough so the water wasn't super clear when we did the sculpture garden snorkel, but we still spotted many of the sculptures - maybe look at a map of the area to figure out where to find them better than we did lol! We also did a day tour of the island with Tom from the Royalton beach. He is very funny and knowledgeable about the island's history and resources. We saw a lot of things I don't think the typical tours would do and many things that they would. It was a full day and everyone seemed to have a good time. The van wasn't new and the AC took a while to be felt, but it felt authentic. Note - the roads are narrow and the driving is crazy. Tom is a "driver" and actually made us feel safe with his amazing capabilities. I do not think I would rent a car and explore as the island is mountainous with many blind curves and we did see a couple of accidents along the way in the morning. I'd leave it to the experts! We saw A LOT during the day and I'm sure when we see our friends again, we'll be sharing some of the stories from that day! All in all, a wonderful, relaxing week on a beautiful island at a pretty resort with nice people. Just what you want from a vacation south during winter.

This is a wonderful resort. It is small but has everything that you need. The food in the 4 restaurants were very good and the portion sizes were appropriate. I didn't find the Italian restaurant to have as many options that I would have expected but it was still good. The buffet had a good variety for breakfast. We only went there on the night we arrived due to our plane being delayed by 2.5 hours and it was good. We enjoyed both the pools and the beach which were kept clean. Overall the place was clean and although there was a few spots where the rain water came in, they were on top of fixing it. The entertainment was somewhat lacking but that is ok. I didn't go there for the night life. However, I really did enjoy the silent party and fire night. But what makes this place is the customer service and the manager Yuvi. Everyone was genuinely friendly and Yuvi was always going around checking that everything was going ok. He remembered faces and offered to help with anything you might need.

The resort was beautiful only a short distance from the airport. The staff was so friendly. The rooms were so fresh and clean the butler service was so worth it. The restaurants were all a 10. The beach and the pools were beautiful. We will be going back 100%.

This was a very nice resort. The beach views were amazing; the grounds were well cared for, and the staff overall were very friendly and cared that they provided great service. The manager Yuvi checked in regularly to ensure guests were satisfied - he is a very hard working man! The food was delicious at the a la carte restaurants. The excursions provided from the resort were great value and there were lots of options. That made it easy to plan time away for exploring. I really enjoyed the cafe that had lots of specialty coffee drinks and ice cream. Overall this is a great resort and I would definitely recommend it. We were not disappointed.

Great beach with lots of shade. Buffet lacked selection. Al a carte restaurants were excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful,Unfortunately by front desk needed to be called several times for towels , soap, and stocking the bar in the room. Otherwise I would have given a 5 star. Otherwise I would have giving a 5 star.

Sandals Grenada is a really great resort!. It is smaller, so you can stay anywhere on the site. 15 minutes max walk from one end to the other. 8 fantastic restaurants. Bucks steakhouse is fantastic, but be sure to set your reservations there as soon as you get there. Kimonos Japanese is a lively fun, food experience. The staff are very very friendly and helpful. The entertainment is not too loud, and usually shuts down by 11 pm, although there are places to get drinks until well into the am. Everything in our room worked and the room itself was very spacious, and high quality and as per the pictures. We did not have the butler service and we didn't need it. We were able to get decent seats by the pool or the beach every day as long as we were down there before 9 am. The only knock is the size of the beach- it is beautiful and private (which is good), but not long enough for those who like to go on long walks on the beach. It is however, private, so there is lots of space for everyone. i would estimate it is 1/2 mile long max. The resort is also a very short 10 minute drive from the airport. The runway can be seen from the one end of the resort but we never heard planes in our room, which backed onto it. We did hear a couple landing but only while we were on the beach.

Just returned from one week at this resort. Unfortunately Air Canada only flies weekly, limiting us to one week or two. Since it was the first visit, we opted for the one week. I would say 95% of existing reviews are pretty accurate so I will try to add some new stuff. First, kinda shocked when I saw the sign for the hotel . Used to the 3 km driveway of Mexican/Dominican resorts. Coyaba is right off a very busy road. Fine but unexpected. Was brought a nice beverage and escorted to our room. As soon as we started to go the stairs, I said to the man, um, no, we bought and requested ground floor. I had a print-out of the confirmation to Air Canada of our request. Well guess what, don’t count on that. The front desk showed me what they got from AC which was nothing. They were very kind and obliging and changed out room to ground floor. We had room 108. Front desk were lovely and did their best to be accommodating throughout our stay. Resort layout, thought I would touch on this cause couldn’t find anywhere before we booked. The blocks are laid out like a big horseshoe. Facing the beach, block one is at the front along with an admin office or two. We were in first block on left (block 2) and the room numbers go sequentially throughout the resort. Continuing on the left are blocks 3 and 4. Starting back at the top again on the right side are blocks 5 through 8. Our room was noisy from the washing machines and housekeeping organizing their stuff. They use grocery carts which are noisy. Also loud from Umbrella bar next door. I would guess that the right side of the resort is quieter and a little more private. All rooms are really close the restaurants and beach. Room - Our room was ok, bland white walls, could use some sprucing up but still fine. Washroom had nice walk-in rain head shower. Water was good and hot. Toiletries were very nice I thought. Plenty of towels etc. Never had to ask for anything more except an umbrella! Bring an umbrella! It poured our first 3 days and resort didn’t have umbrellas in many rooms. I ended up buying one in town. Also, spoiled me missed her robe. If you like a robe, bring one. AC was good. Plugs are EC, bring adapter if from N.A. Bed was good, pillows awful. Housekeeping very good. Pool (raised which is odd) was right across from our room. In one week, only saw 2 people in it. Didn’t look the greatest. Bar and restaurant right there too. That restaurant did a great lunch – had to order it but it was very good. For breakfast and dinner, we went to the “fancier” restaurant closer to the beach. Note that both restaurants are open air/no ac. The breakfast is buffet with an egg station and was fine. Toast, omelet or eggs done any way, bacon and sausage. Watermelon. Not fantastic but certainly ok in our opinion. Dinner, ok, this isn’t so good. I have a feeling (but could be wrong) that most of dinner selection are brought in pre-made. Chicken cordon blu had that processed chicken look with mystery stuff in the middle. Can’t say I had a great dinner although most were edible. Even the desserts weren’t great. That being said, I would go back! But if you go for the food, this isn’t the place. Beach – best we have been to except maybe the Cook Islands. No sargassum, no rocks, just absolutely gorgeous. Perfect temperature. Clients – 98% Brits and Canadians. No kids (even tho they are allowed). Met the nicest people here. For that reason and the beach, we will be back.

The resort itself was well kept. The rooms were nice and cleaned regularly by housekeeping. The room fridge bar had very minimal alcoholic options (only beer) There was also not a wide selection of food at the buffet and had a lot of the same foods repeated daily The entertainment was low and not lively.

Beautiful grounds, friendly staff, good food options, supply with beach towels excellent, nice pools, good beach, enough beach chairs, overall very satisfied with two weeks vacation! Quiet, we had a nice view from the second floor in the building 11, corner unit, between the two pools and close to the beach.

If you like smaller resorts, this one is for you! Very close to the beach and all ammentities are within close proximity. Very clean rooms, grounds are pristine. Staff are excellent and food is good. This was our 2nd trip to Coyaba Beach Resort and not our last!!

The Coyaba is, without question, on the best section of the Grand Anse beach. The grounds are beautifully maintained. It is a simple resort, with friendly and helpful staff, the rooms are also fairly simple and clean, the food was excellent and offered a varied mix of options. I would definitely go back!!

This is a great resort. The service was excellent. The GM, Audrey was always on hand with a warm welcoming smile. The food and beverage manager, Yuvi, was obliging and worked hard to ensure guests were happy. Resort is clean clean clean! No problem finding lounge chairs at the beach and pool any time of day. Sunwing was also excellent.

My husband and I chose Grenada and the Royalton to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary and had a great time! Beautiful resort, beautiful beach, beautiful island! We were very happy with our ocean front room and appreciated the celebratory touches added upon our arrival. We enjoyed the facilities, including all restaurants and the variety of delicious food with lots of activities onsite and friendly service. Only thing to caution for the beach is that in certain sections of the water, there were patches of sea urchins to be aware of. It would be helpful if these were marked/identified with some signage (water shoes recommended). Best area of the beach to avoid this is on the side of the resort just past the Italian restaurant and chill pool - splendid stretch, no sea urchins there! Other than that, only other thing to improve on is better daily replenishment of the in-room snacks and drinks in the fridge. Overall though, we had a lovely time and would go back!

We enjoyed staying at the hotel, it was very clean and our room was wonderful. Overall the food is good and we enjoyed the different restaurants. We especially liked their sparkling water. The personnel is very accommodating and friendly. We really liked the resort.

From the moment that we touched down in Granada, my daughter and I were whisked through customs and an Air Canada representative was on the spot to arrange transportation to our hotel. The Royalton Granada Resort and Spa is a treasure. Tired from travel we were quickly and efficiently installed in our accommodations. The room was spacious, blessedly cool and well stocked with supplies. The grounds were beautiful and lush. Personnel of every description made themselves available to assist us should we require. Programs like aqua-fit, and volleyball were there for those interested. The pool and bar area was pristine and the beach area for swimming was free of any debris. The restaurants were plenty with lots of choices. It was lovely seeing guests dressed for dinner. The food was plentiful and staff were available for special requests. Everyone we encountered went out of their way to ensure we had a great holiday. Also the hotel provided a series of excursions which my daughter went on and had a good time. These were extras but well worth it. In closing we both really enjoyed our stay in Granada and are recommending it to our friends and family.

I want to give a great big shout out to all the staff at Coyaba Beach Resort in Grand Anse Grenada. The staff are amazing from the front desk to the grounds staff, you all do an amazing job. My mom and I just returned from a week there, the dining room staff were exceptional. They took care of all our needs. They assisted my 90yr old mother with seating and treating her with genuine respect and care. I wish I could remember all their names as each one was instrumental in making this a vacation to remember. The grounds are immaculate. The rooms are clean and beautiful. Air conditioner worked perfectly. We had a problem with our safe on arrival, this was addressed and fixed immediately. The security staff at the beach were attentive and very helpful. The food was delicious at every meal. I highly recommend this resort and will definitely return and recommend to anyone who is planning a trip to Grenada.

Staff was great Butlers were very helpful We had a swim up room would recommend this room! Diamond club was worth it! Air Canada is the better way to go ,Sunwing was rude left us locked out of airport with no food water and not knowing what was going on for hours after flight delay and made to leave airport after it closed! Paid for Optium plus did not get anything for this upgrade.

The resort was small and everything was very accessible. Property was beautiful and had lovely gardens. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Food was good and hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. Beach was gorgeous with crystal blue water. Highly recommend!!!

As it was off season I thought everything was very nice, staff very welcoming and helpful with any questions presented. Learned alot about culture and the sights were adventurous We would return to the same room

Very nice hotel. Quiet with clean spacious rooms, pleasent staff and great food on site. Not for those looking for an energetic resort feeling. Better for relaxing or for using s a base to expore the island.

We had a very large beautiful room with plenty of light coming from the the skylight in the washroom. They are maintaining this place nicely and the gardens are full of flowers. The food is what makes Sandals amazing. The food is the highlights. The beach on the left had more than 20 types of fish, be sure to bring your snorkling equipment. Everyday we took one of the catamaran out for a great adventure on the Caribbean sea. Beautiful scenery.

Let me start with saying this; refuse to stay in the rooms 19301 to whatever number they go to, i.e. , 19310. There are steps in those rooms only. Curtains don't shut properly. Woke ip at 4 am first night to close curtains better and completely forgot about the 2 steps. Flew through air, cutting leg on weird coffee table, bruises everywhere. They only offered me to change rooms. No free massage, upgrade dinner. Nothing. But, it was also alot of fun. Some good meals, some bad. Drinks pretty good, but often don't have ingredients, but this is our 6th trip since Jan. 2022, and all places are having similar issues. Beautiful island, beautiful people. Some good staff, some bad. Bring a light jacket for evening. Not sure if cultural but just too much sugar in lasagna and mashed potatoes. Quiche was way too rich. And there is a steak at Italian restaurant, but they use a diff word so most don't kjow about it. Heard it was good. Don't get lamb kabobs but lamb vindaloo was awesome. Enjoy!

Sunwing not so great don’t want to get into it. But Royalton Grenada was amazing. I don’t recommend diamond club not worth the money. but the walkout beach room was incredible. All the staff at the hotel were incredible. Food was very good.

The Royalton is a lush, tropical resort that has friendly, helpful staff. The facilities and grounds were well maintained and clean. The food was excellent and the bars had a large variety of drinks. The perks of the diamond club were worth getting.

The Royalton Grenada has done a beautiful job of upgrading everything it offers, from maintaining pristine grounds, to varied food venues, to its personal service. Scuba diving with Eco Dives was everything you could hope for, with the friendliest staff imaginable.

Very clean, staff was very friendly, food was excellent. I really enjoyed having a dive site on the resort with knowledgeable people. Christine, Kewon, Ashley, Ron, Wayne, and the captain etc. are all awesome and made my stay very enjoyable. Will definitely come back.

Hotel, food, people, excursions, beach and pretty much everything was amazing! My husband and I went on our honeymoon here back in 2018 and now we want to go back! No complaints at all. Best experience ever.

This is the best beach I've been to in Grenada. Very quiet, water is beautiful, with amazing views. You can go in the ocean from anywhere on short an not worry about a reef. The only time it gets busy is when the cruise ships are then those tourists will come to the beach for a couple of hours. But it's only a couple times a week. Staff is very friendly, rooms are really nice. There is a steep hill to climb if you want to walk over to Grand Anse Beach, it's only about a 15 minute walk. We have a couple dinners, which were nice and breakfast. Otherwise we tried different restaurants on the Island. This is by far my favorite Island.

We had been to Sandals in Antigua when it first opened (first location off of the island of Jamaica) for our honeymoon and we decided to return after 27 years. I had researched which one to go to and this location and Grande St. Lucian seemed to have the best overall reviews. Our experience did not disappoint. What an oasis, yet enjoyable and fun place to vacation as a couple. We met wonderful people from England, the US and fellow Canadians. The food was top notch and the afternoon snack locations were awesome. Used the gym everyday and it was excellent. We got the Rondaval upgrade for last 3 nights and it was worth every penny. It was so romantic and beautiful. The Butler service was exceptional with Ifori, Davey and Jamie taking care of our every need. Bravo ! The other exceptional people who made our stay was the bartenders at the main swim up pool. Kareem (K-Spice concoction), Razim and Terrell were absolute gems and ambassadors for the Sandals brand. We had many laughs in a short time. The only two minor negatives is when we did not have the butler service, access to shaded/umbrella chairs is very limited and required the very early morning chair save and I wished the beach was longer and less ocean current but that was the nature of the location or site it was on. Overall, it was a dream week (31C everyday)

The Service was excellent especially with the Butlers. The jardiniere restaurant did not compare to the quality of the food at the Parisian in the Barbados. The buffet breakfast was not up to standards at the egg section As a cook was only using one fry pan and pot to do the eggs.

The hotel was great and bonus points that it was a quick ride from the airport! The staff were super helpful and genuinely good people that were always checking on us to see if our stay was going well! The food and the restaurants are incredible! The Soy restaurant had some of the best Sushi we’ve ever had! The views of the island from the resort are breathtaking along with the sunsets and the hotel nightly entertainment was incredible! The resort is best suited to honeymoon type vacations or older retiree vacations. The resort did feel a little overpriced for the experience! It is also a smaller resort than some of the others we’ve been to.

Loved: -beach is amazing, best beach I have ever seen -grounds, very clean and beautiful -room was comfortable, no complaints -people were friendly (some were very friendly) Did not like: -should have entertainment every night not every other night (after dinner was boring when no entertainment and nothing to do) -food was very bland (I think I ate a bottle of hot sauce to compensate) -should have lots more local food like oil down, we requested it but told they couldn't do it -drinks were ok, why not provide drinks like grand marnier, why charge for what you call "premium drinks" -we were told on our last day that we could have requested a take away lunch before departing resort, front desk never told us this -would love to bring my daughters here but not sure because of food and entertainment

This locally owned, charming 80 room Boutique resort is located on the best beach in Grenada. The resort is quiet, clean and everything on the grounds is within close proximity to each other. It was refreshing to see a mix of tourists (i.e Caribbean, European, Canadian, American, Asian, etc.) at this resort. Staff were friendly, polite, respectful and very professional. Special mention to Reanna who stood out. Service is good but gives a whole new meaning to island time. Which forces you to completely slow down and reminds you that you need to shift into vacation gear yourself. We had a problem accessing our t.v and had to call the front desk. Someone was at our door 2 minutes after we hung up & took care of the matter immediately. There was never any pressure to tip the staff but good service ought to be rewarded. Gardens / Grounds were clean and well maintained. Food was okay, a little bland for our palate given that we were on Spice Island. You should note that there are 2 restaurants, 1 with an A La Carte Menu which is static and doesn't change throughout the week and a Buffet. The Buffet serves a variety of food throughout the week, some of which is reflective of local dishes. However, at night you have to dress up to experience the buffet area. You can order food from the buffet at the other restaurant without having to dress up and still having access to the A La Carte Menu. Some dishes are served with supplement charges if you are on the all inclusive package (i.e. steak, lobster & shrimp). You can actually drink the tap water in Grenada which I think taste better than our local supply....sorry T.O. Entertainment - Live entertainment was offered a few nights a week. In our opinion, a real missed opportunity here to showcase Island culture even though steel pan and local bands were used. We travelled to Grenada to partake in the sights & sounds of the island. Instead, we found ourselves listening to old half dead 80s / 90s music that had little reflection of the "spice" of the Caribbean. I personally would have loved to have heard more soca / reggae, had a taste of Oil Down (national dish) or something to do with the history of the Jab Jab. This is why we came..... Beach is within 1 minute walking distance from the furthest point of the resort. Loungers were plentiful and always available as needed. The water was clear and warm. Vendors were minimal and kept it moving if you weren't interested. Rooms were cozy, clean and hot water was always available. There is a fridge for your convenience but it is not stocked with anything. It would serve you well to take a converter box to charge your electronics or hygiene equipment. Amenities such as grocery store, restaurants, banks, etc. were all within walking distance. However, be forewarned that souvenirs are expensive. Locally accepted currency preferred is US or East Caribbean (E.C). The KFC across the road was reasonably priced. We went on a private island taxi tour with Ian Baptiste from Specky Tours Grenada https://speckytoursgrenada.com/ or 437-536-5932 who took us everywhere we asked within the 7 hours for which we hired him for. He was pleasant, upbeat, friendly, respectable and we felt very safe and in good company with him. Please check out his website for details on his services as arrangements for tours can be made through him or through the Air Canada Rep. Air Canada Terminal Experience in Toronto - I have to be specific here as the two experiences were night and day. The Pearson terminal is chaotic and quite frankly disorganized, inefficient and has some of the rudest, most disrespectful, high on themselves staff that I've encountered at any airport in the world. I witnessed 3 of their immature, entitled, drunk with power children at the customs screening entrance / checkpoint on the morning of September 7, 2019 (yes Air Canada please checking your schedule to see who was working that morning that might fit that criteria). They were incredibly rude to foreign travellers who clearly did not speak English as their first language. Very unbecoming of Canadian ambassadors to and from our country. Upon return, we had to be shuttled by bus from the plane to the terminal and again complete chaos and disorganization as you entered customs. Perhaps hiring more staff with interpersonal skills would actually be helpful in that area would serve Air Canada well. Air Canada Terminal Experience in Grenada - Cleared customs, picked up luggage and at our hotel within 35 minutes of landing in Grenada. Received service with a smile. Returning home, wait was a little longer but service with a smile again and everything clearly labelled and easy to find. I must say that the Air Canada Rep Jenelle in Grenada was fantastic and an exemplary example of Customer Service. Perhaps the Grenadians can come to Toronto to train the Canadian staff. Overall, Grenada is a safe and beautiful island!!! Lush lands, clear water, fantastic people. It is noticeable how CLEAN Grenada is. The Grenadians clearly take great pride in their island and it shows.

Great hotel. There were issues with the room but they were quickly resolved. To me, that's what good service is all about. We would return. resorts Beautiful island with awesome people loving on it.

We really liked this hotel. Beautifully kept ground and steps to Grand Anse Beach. The staff were also delightful and very accommodating. Exceptional service by Tracy Ann and Crisal The only downfall was there weren't too many places to eat off the hotel- only a couple that were 10 mins away.

We had an extremely enjoyable stay at the Starfish Grenada Resort. The staff was on the whole helpful and efficient. The major advantages of this resort were the location to the airport, the stunning beach and the amazing, picture perfect sunsets. This resort will be even better once the renovations to the Royalton brand are completed. Thank you Rick for making this booking.

A nice resort just minutes from the airport. The two beaches are beautiful however because of rocks only the northern beach is really suitable for swimming. Lots of shade and chairs so you are not fighting for them. The food although good was not of a great variety. A lot of repeats so got boring pretty fast. We were surprised that there was not more of a variety of fruit offered being a sub tropical island. Overall we were please and had a good vacation. They are undergoing renovations soon so things will be even better.

This is our second visit to the starfish resort and hopefully not our last. The hotel is very close to the airport within walking distance the rooms are clean. The people at this resort are very friendly and hopefully they will be back when the hotel reopens Hopefully the pricing will be affordable when the resort opens in december

Starfish Grenada, great resort! Travelled as a couple. Great location and friendly and efficient staff, very accommodating and willing to assist in any way. Hotel was clean, food was great, beach was beautiful and location couldn't be better, less than five minutes from the airport. Grenada is a beautiful island and friendly Grenadians! Will definitely consider another visit to this resort! T&MM

I really enjoyed Starfish/Rex resort! Great food - 2 restaurants to enjoy your regular meals( 1 oriental a-la-carte restaurant), clean room (bed, towels, floors - daily), friendly staff (with smile, politness, and fun), beautiful beach (turcoise water, trees for shade, chaise lounges available), nice pool area (canopy beds, bar and restaurant, excellent view, but only 4 feet deep the pool - as a little minus) and...amazing little country. I recommend anyone to take Jamboulay tour with Michael as guide :-).Entertainment was good enough for a resort that is to close for renovation in a month. The DJ played any song you told him too, so I danced a lot ;-). Don't wait to book this!!!

Just returned from Starfish and just want to thank all the amazing staff and Chris Forbes.It was my husbands birthday and they surprised him with a Birthday cake and bottle of champagne in our room.The location is the best on this island.We would highly recommend the full day island tour through Air Canada.Our driver was Dexter and he was amazing.This man was so knowledgeable about everything on the island from folklore and superstition to history and flora.He even found a plant called a sensitive plant? When you touch it gently it closes up. Beach is beautiful and food delicious! I hope we can return again when it reopens as Royalton!

When we arrived in Grenada, we where taken into the terminal, at that time, given a declaration from to fill in.. 200 passengers looking for a place to sit, on the floor, to fill this in, should have been handed out on the plane to fill in, would have saved a lot of time. Got to the hotel, had 3 lines to stand in by your last name, to check in. We finally got yo the counter, and where told our room would not be ready for an hour.. but have us time to grab a bite to eat. Room, grounds were clean.fantastic views.what amenities we used, where clean and in newer condition. Food, another story . Did not have a "hot meal", all luke warm at best. Limited choices Met sunwing rep, went through the programs/ excursions. Knew her stuff, but forgot to mention, everything was shown in $us and would be converted to Caribbean currency@a 2.75 exchange rate. Was a shock when I paid, expected to be paying 146 us and card was charged 390. Did not catch this immediately , did later, took 2 days to track another rep down to have explained dhat they did. We did the fusion tour, and our guide Glenn, was a wealth of knowledge and we had a blast with him on both trips we did. We felt we were an inconvenience trying to tip the staff, they where pleasant enough, but where made to feel we where bothering them, trying to give them a tip... who knows.. maybe were not suppose to? Saying that.. if you did not tip the bar staff... good luck trying to get another drink brought to you. Over all, had fantastic weather, was with my spouse and we had a great time. Will go back again, if nothing else to see what changes the royalton will implement and what they are going to construct... if the pricing doesn't go through the roof.

We were a little disappointed. We knew the hotel was closing soon but they we out of food at different meals. They asked if we were celebrating an event and then forgot 3 birthdays in our group of 12. My friends partner had spoken to then twice they assured him there would be cake, champagne and balloons. They eventually brought out 1 bottle of champagne for 12 people and 3 slices of banana bread. A party the night before got a lovely cake, balloons and champagne. The grounds were desolate and brown and the gardens were dead. They ran of of drink mixes and alcohol daily. We were short towels or face cloths or hand towels every day. We were on a floor that a cricket team was on. 10-12 year old boys mostly unattended by there coaches. Up at 6 am running around, yelling from balcony to balcony before there breakfast. So we were unable to sleep in. They were back by 4pm when we would be trying to have an afternoon rest when they charged in . I asked reception if the 6 if us on that floor could be moved and she explained there were no vacancies unless we wanted to up grade. I realize we got a deal but did expect a little more than a 2 star hotel. I also had to call for bedside lamps in the room as the ceiling light was the only light in the room No lamps. The brought us 2 when I called. Over all the resort is in separate need of major make over. We made our own good time with our group of 12. Made the best of it. Sunwing also ran out of food o the way there. :(

Would highly recommend visiting this resort, the beaches are stunning, food was tasty, rooms are clean and beds are comfy, staff was welcoming and friendly, and the island of Grenada is a must see very picturesque!

Sandals Grenada was a stunningly beautiful resort with lush gardens and modern facilities throughout the property. Everything was well maintained and the resort was spotless. We had a huge butler level room (Rondoval) with our own pool and hot tub that we used on a daily basis. Our butlers (Willam, Kerry & Randell) went above & beyond for us during our stay, doing such things as: bringing drinks/snacks/lunch to us while we were on the beach or at the pool, leaving late afternoon snacks in our room along with chilled wine or champagne, setting up all of our dinner, tour and spa reservations for us, saving us chairs on the beach or a cabana by the pool in the early morning, arranging our private engagement dinner, bringing breakfast to our outdoor terrace most mornings, leaving bubble baths with tropical flowers and sweet messages, and escorting us to our dinners in the evening. The housekeepers kept our room neat & tidy every day. The entertainment staff was incredible both in the daytime at the party pool (South Seas) and for the evening entertainment. Steven, with the entertainment crew, was especially fun to meet and always knew how to get a party started. Every night has a theme (i.e. Caribbean night, Reggae night, Grenada night) and they have special nights too (i.e. beach party, white party, etc). The food was sooo good! I would recommend all of the restaurants/room service/snacks, as there is something there for everyone and the quality/service was outstanding. We went on the 3pm boat tour and the 1pm snorkel trip both run by the resort and they were both excellent and informative. We visited the spa twice, once in the spa facility and the other time out on the beach, for massages both times and we were impressed by the professionalism and quality of service. We had our free 20 minute photoshoot on the beach and ended up purchasing some pictures (expensive!!!) because we got engaged & wanted some memorable photos to take home. Everyone was very friendly, both staff and guests. It's only a 5 minute ride from the airport which is amazing especially after a full day of travel to get there! The beach & quiet pool were easy to get chairs at if you don't have a butler, but I would recommend getting to the party pool early to reserve chairs, as they fill up fast. Definitely make your dinner and spa reservations as soon as you get there. Even if you don't have a butler, there are girls that will take your order & bring you drinks on both the beach & by the pools. The beach is smaller but still beautiful and you can see St. Georges and lots of boats/cruise ships passing by. The pier is a great spot to sit and watch the sunset in the evenings before heading to dinner. I would definitely bring an adapter or power cord next time, as there didn't seem to be very many plugs in the room. Currency is U.S. or Eastern Caribbean. No tipping at all, except for butlers and spa staff. We left little gift bags of lotion/sweet treats/face masks/bath bombs/etc for our housekeepers and added a tag saying "thank you from your guests in room 4106" so they could take it home with them through the gate when their shift was done. Although I didn't see or hear any mosquitos, I did get quite a few bites in the evening and they were beyond itchy...my fiancé however got none! Overall, we had a fantastic time and would 100% recommend this resort!

My husband and I loved our stay at this resort in Grenada. It was the most relaxing atmosphere we've ever experienced. The grounds are LOVELY, with beautiful gardens, a pond, and two beaches with breath-taking views. We especially loved the pavilions in the pool area, and the on-site snorkelling. The staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful. The food was good, although we would have loved even more Grenadian cuisine options. Our room was comfortable and clean. Overall, I would say this resort is amazing value for money.

Just back from a wonderful stay at Starfish. We had a room overlooking the beach. You couldn't be closer to the ocean, the waves lapping soothingly all night. And yes we had our patio door open, no bugs at all. There is a constant warm breeze. The snorkling off the coral reef right in front of the hotel is wonderful. There is a happy sense of calm. The staff are excellent, the food very good. We were impressed by the relaxed but dignified islanders who were welcoming everywhere we went. Our guide on the island tour was very good at his job, super informed and efficient at getting us around the various sites, all very interesting. The hotel is changing hands and upgrading, which it will definitely benefit from. However it will probably attract a different clientele, and cost a lot more.Hopefully they will keep the same staff, they couldn't do much better. There were a few vendors on the beach, but they were not a nuisance at all. Grenada is a gem if you are looking for a peaceful relaxing holiday. We felt completely safe all the time.

The Starfish (Rex) was once a beautiful resort and still holds much of its charm. I would give it a solid 3 stars and at the price for Grenada I would highly recommend this resort. Food selection at the buffet was limited but we ate everything on our plates each meal. The BBQ night was the best. The stir fry and chow mien at the a la cart were as good as we'd get at home. The wine we had there was an Italian red from the Veneto, and quite good. The booze selection was poor, even the premium stuff which was at an additional cost was limited. The blender drinks were top quality, real juice not syrups. Two local beers, both quite good. The beach was very nice and the snorkeling right off the beach was very good. We did experience a few issues with our room (due to the age and need for renovations) which were quickly resolved. If you're not expecting 5 star service and amenities, this place may be right for you. We loved it. Get a taxi, rent a scooter or go on a tour and see the island.

loved the hotel & the people are amazing..Food was delicious..Room was a little dated but we knew that going in..Very clean.Only complaint I had were the stairs..Loved Grenada!! Hopefully will be back..

There were 5 of us that went and all of us had a great time , the only thing that we all said that the stairs were a bet much. The food was good and rooms were clean, the staff was excellent. We did have so much fun.

Our room was right in front of the ocean. We slept with no air conditioner to hear the ocean waves. We snorkeled everyday right from our room 30 feet away. The room was clean, I loved the furniture and colors. You can tell it wa an older building only from the hallways outside and stairs. I loved it for being small and not many people. The entertainment was fabulous also. The buffet food was incredible for a 3 star I would have not expected that. the restaurant wasn't as good as the buffet. The staff was very helpful and kind. Thank you so much Laura Mulvihill-Spry from trip central for making this experience happen.

Surroundings are second to none! The Hotel rooms comfortable and clean. Service was good, food not to many options, but we did not bather about that. At least the ones provided were very tasty! Must confess the hotel itself needs some work to live up to its expectations...

We first visited Starfish Grenada in January 2014 (then known as The Rex by Grenadian Resorts) and had a great time. Our recent trip was another fabulous stay. The grounds and rooms are immaculate, the beach pristine, the staff friendly and accommodating, the food good to excellent (especially the homemade ice cream). It's not a 5 star, but it's an exceptional 3 star. If we can afford it after it is upgraded this year to a 5 star Royalton resort, we will definitely be back!

We were very impressed with this resort. The staff, the facilities, the entertainment, the food were all amazing. We did a tour through the Air Canada agent and our tour guide Michael was knowledgeable, accommodating and funny. At the resort, the bartender by the pool( AJ) was good at what he did and very personable. Stacey at the restaurant was lovely. We remember their names but all of the staff were polite and caring. We would go again but I am to understand it is changing ownership and uncertain what that means for the future. The Morels and Shamus Leckie

This resort was good value for the money I paid. It is closing in two months and with that in mind was still good. The spot is amazing and lots to do on the island. The beach is beautiful but not suitable for young children because the water is rough.

Negatives: Wifi on and off a ton, and only available on half the resort. No entertainment. Very slow service. Attitude from staff. Tiny Pool , max depth was 4ft. No bottled water Room was not serviced until 3pm most days. Positives: Decent food most nights. Beach on the right side of the pool much better than the left. Pool although small probably have it all to yourself .

Stayed 1 week and overall had a great time. Hotel clean and comfortable. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Gorgeous beach, but sea was rough. Food was average, quite repetitive. Air Canada lost my luggage on the way home and 2 days later still haven't located it.

We enjoyed our 2 wk vacation at Starfish Grenada! Our room was very clean and the bed was so comfy! Could use new pillows as they were a bit lumpy. The food was always prepared to satisfy your hunger and looked fresh! Fish was amazing! The location was exceptional with gorgeous views from every angle! The staff were very friendly and so helpful! All the locals were so nice! Would love to go back!

This resort is overall a great resort, great grounds, views, beautiful beach, very nice staff that are very polite and helpful. you can see that rooms are dated but its not big deal.food is decent too

The "spice island" is a beautiful place to visit. Unfortunately this hotel is upgrading so closing down in May. It will not longer be an affordable hotel when it becomes the Royalton. This is unfortunate as they really don't need another high end hotel with posh amenities when you can enjoy this beautiful place as it is. The Grenadians are great kind people and will be sad to loose this lovely relaxing place to the upscale unnecessary additions.

We are usually 5 star resort fun lovers,but this time we came because our 4 best freinds invited us to join them at star fish resort.what a pleasant surprise this hotel was ,it’s not a 5 star but it’s better than a 4 star Cuban resort! The staff and people on the Island are terrific,food and rooms are great more variety would of been nice ,like grilled cheese and chicken fingers at the bar restaurant.The beach and water were just what we needed and were looking for,beautiful ,sandy and blue water nice! On very spacious and well kept property grounds there is plenty of room for everyone. A 10 minute taxi ride to Grand Anse beach and 15 or so to St Georges for a nominal fee. Clean and comfortable rooms with comfy beds. If you are not loooking for upscale cuisine the food is more than adequate for the price. Some nightly entertainment being just enough to not be annoying. The choice of two different beach atmospheres is a plus. But the raised pool setting with the view is second to none. An affordable way to explore Grenada.

The Starfish in Grenada was a really unique resort. It was clean and very well run. We found the food great and the entire place was well organized. It is a sprawling place and that made it great to get a bit of exercise. The beach was fantastic with 30 degree weather everyday but not feeling hot because of the beautiful breeze off the ocean. We dined down the beach at a restaurant called "The Aquarium". Simply amazing food. Definitely got a thumbs up from us at the Starfish!

Beautiful beach and area.the people of this country are the best. The food was very good.every night it was a little different. Entertainment was a dj but one night was steel drum .no booze in the main building until 3 but you could go to the beach 4 it.good booze was 7.50 us.clean rooms.chris the manager was the best.peter dragon drove us around the island and a must to go with him on this journey. Tell him the big guy sent you.no mosquitoes .

Starfish Grenada Resort was clean and rooms were decent size. The buffet restaurant was the only dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests need to bring a personal water bottle and can have it filled at the bar or buffet restaurant as no bottled water is on the resort.

Grenada is a fabulous place with beautiful vistas and wonderful people. The starfish resort was a great place to see the island from; 5 minutes away from the airport and 20 minutes away from Grand Ance beach it is located on te Caribbean side of the south portion of the island. The hotel was clean nd while dated and in transition the staff are friendly and helpful. Ask for what you want. The food is good while not offering a wide variety was always well prepared. The deserts and fruit selections were scant. The hours and locations of the bars and restaurants are not as convenient as they could be. The GM Chris is very involved in the customer service and greyed is when we arrived and was on hand for our departure.

We loved the large beautiful spacious property, the older design, the homey, friendly feel and staff. It was clean and beautifully kept. The food was absolutely perfect. Fresh, local, well use of each day’s supply. We loved the authentic wholesome nourishing preparations with no preservatives or ‘American’ over processing. The dining room and lounge were lovely with the breeze blowing through. The salt water lagoon was definitely an added surprise with its beautifully calm natural wild life iguana. Each morning we enjoyed Sherma’s fabulous omelettes and David’s friendly welcome at the dive shop. Thank you for a great vacation and the price of was great too! We loved Sunwing!
