The Grand Hotel Açores Atlantico is as the name suggests, grand! From the elegant spiral staircase, the stately grand piano, and intimate collections of comfy chairs, the lobby screams out “enjoy me”. We rarely walked by without stopping for a quick intermission from our busy schedule, and occasionally imbibed from the well-stocked bar and a casual meal from the menu with popular fare. Excellent central location. All tours offered convenient pick-up and drop-off at the hotel, and an easy walk into town. There’s a grocery store within a five-minute walk (watch you don’t miss it as it is tucked in between a string of little restaurants). The included breakfast buffet was sensational, offering an impressive selection of hot and cold items, gluten free choices and even mimosas, all with a spectacular harbour/ocean view. Our east-facing room (with balcony) had a lovely city view, overlooking the lush hills and historical Azorean homes. The room was adequate in size and very clean, with everything we needed, although surprisingly lacking a bidet. Storage space was somewhat limited, with lots of place to hang our clothes but only three smaller drawers, a minor issue. Convenient location for our suitcase handled the overflow. Housekeeping was excellent and very accommodating. We especially enjoyed the quiet, private indoor pool and sauna — a wonderful place to relax after a day of sightseeing. An outdoor pool would have been nice but for those that need a cool dip, the harbour directly across the street has a sectioned off area for swimming and beside it, a city-run public pool. We felt very secure during our stay and particularly appreciated the in-room safe and security feature requiring a room key to operate the elevator. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the hotel comfortable, clean, secure, and exceptionally well located for exploring Ponta Delgada. We will definitely return to this vibrant, welcoming city and will absolutely stay at The Grand Hotel Açores Atlantico!

The Hotel was good. Very clean, quiet area & good location. Can walk to restaurants & bars Staff was amazing & very helpful. We didn't have dinner there because we wanted to go to the centre and walk around there and eat there. We just had some appetizers with wine and was really good. It doesn't have a pool though, which would've been nice. The Breakfast was really good. Lots of variety and again, Staff was great. Very satisfied with Eurostars das Artes.

The hotel is situated very close to a picturesque beach. There are several pools ( inside and outside), small mini - market and restaurant on the site.The room is spacious . The kitchenette has lots of utensils

The grounds in public areas were nice. The food was very good. My only complaint was the size of the room. We got a deluxe Seaview but there was no room to really unpack our clothes. there was a nice big hanging closet, but only 12 hangers. I also found it odd that they don't replace your coffee cups or remove the wine glasses from your room. The staff was great. Ofanso and Stephanie were excellent! Thanks for all your help!

One of good hotels I stayed. Clean and they provide good services. Breakfast was great. I can only recommend to have eggs in different ways in their breakfast menu. I couldn’t eat eggs there cause I didn’t like how they cooked.

During our tour we stayed at 4 hotels all very nice but small rooms. All the hotels were well situated within walking distance to everything. All the hotels served breakfast in the morning which was a great day starter. The tour was well played out by the tour operator, it would have been nice to get it ahead of time but we survived. It was a very good way to start to see Portugal because there is too much to see in one visit. The staff went above and beyond expectations to help make our stay a memorable one. Any problem was dealt with immediately and pleasantly. ( TV not working for instance) Gave great suggestions re places to go or special requests. ( Found a Real Estate Broker for us) Place is super clean--staff seem to take pride in this. With a few small changes they could change the food recipes from average to fabulous although staff and volume were outstanding.

The hotel is understated high-end. It's clean, with good amenities though we hardly used them because we were rarely there. The breakfast is buffet-style and it's copious, varied, and plentiful. Staff are friendly, and the concierges are knowledgeable and eager to help. We stayed two weeks and had a great time.

We went on the Portugal North to south tour in late May into June. Tour gave us a great opportunity to see many aspects of the country and we enjoyed all the various regions. The bustle of Lisbon , the historical city of Porto and the beach resorts of the Algarve region. All in all a great trip. I would strongly recommend that the tour operators give particular attention to a couple of areas for improvement. Namely the initial orientation at the airport was too quick and although information was provided it didn’t prepare us well for the trains that were integral to getting from one end of the country to the other. More time and maybe a graphic chart outline the stations and where the trains arrive would be helpful. Alternatively a representative of the tour company at the train stations to help would have been very helpful. The hotels in our excursion were wonderful but located in midtown and we had the added expense of transportation to and from the downtown areas. Hotels located in the tourist area would have been preferred. Something to watch for when you’re choosing your package. I would recommend this package with some improvements as mentioned.

Really liked this hotel. Inparticular the receptionist Claudia. She was so helpful . The place was spotless. The indoor pool was great. Our only criticism were the beds. If you are tall they are very small and not very comfortable Great location, with in walking distant to lots of bars and resturants.

Room was clean and spacious. All inclusive was NOT worth it at all. The food at the only restaurant on the property was just edible, so save your money and eat off property or cook your own food. We also visited the other resort’s piri piri chicken restaurant which was underwhelming as well.

Beautiful resort with both indoor and outdoor pools. Well maintained and clean. Apartment was large and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Close to beach and hiking trails and restaurants. Restaurant was closed but was opening soon so we did not have the opportunity to use the restaurant.

I was super excited about this hotel, but I still think that they are figuring out the whole all inclusive theme. The customer service is lacking. And maintenance of this hotel is poor. it is a shame as the hotel is located in a very nice area which is accessible to everything in a short distance, It has pools, hot tub and even a sauna. We had a very nice room with ocean view which was gorgeous, however, the layout is very uncomfortable. Other than provide you with body soap in the shower there is nothing else, no shampoo, conditioner, or hand soap. The air conditioners were not working, which it wasn’t a big deal as you can just open the windows, but all of the little mosquitoes come into your room. The elevators were scary as the lights were not working, complete darkness, but were flickering as you enter the elevator. From when we arrived, the check in took an unnecessarily long time just to be passed to another desk and get the key of our room where we have to line up again nothing was explained to us, such as we have to leave a deposit for the beach towels we didn’t even know we had to get them from the desk. Nobody offered to help us with the luggage which is very uncomfortable to manage through the cobblestone to our room., the hotel is as I said before ginormous. When you just arrive you don’t know where everything is so we had to ask for somebody to help us to get to the room with the luggage and it seemed that we were bothering them but we got somebody to help us.. The most disappointing and worthless part of the whole package was the all inclusive. In the advertisement, it says that there is all of these restaurants, barbeque Spanish tapas, Mexican Chinese. It is not completely true. They have it in the same place, but they’re not open every day, so that you have all of those options they open at day they don’t have anybody to manage their restaurants as the service is not very good they’re trying however it’s not good and the food is so bad that I think they just make what they think Chinese food taste or Mexican food , etc. There was a guy at the buffet that was super unfriendly very mean and not welcoming at all. The food at the buffet was OK nothing spectacular. The service at the restaurants and the cleanliness was so poor that my whole party of three got violently ill with what seems food poisoning, diarrhea, and vomiting. There is nothing available when you need medication, especially at night. The front desk is useless as they don’t know anything and the only thing available to drink at night is a machine they have at the front desk with water and a juice that just taste like powdered juice, there is no Apple juice, soda, water, or anything else just those very sugary powdery tasting juices available and one machine of coffee. in the positive the beach was very nice. There are no chairs available for you to lounge so in reality you will need to bring two beach towels per person one to lay on and the other one to dry but it’s just one provided for guest. the room was gorgeous. The view was beautiful. The hotel is in a good location, so if I were to go again, I would just not count with eating there. The room was adequate and had a fridge and a stove and utensils so I will just stop at the store and purchase the stuff for you to have for breakfast and snacks and drinks, however, I do not know if all of the rooms are equipped like mine.

The rooms were just as expected- clean, quiet and we were able to cook some meals. Beautiful pool area, indoors and out. Front desk staff were amazing- very patient and always helpful. The tour choices were very good. Nice location to bus stop and walk to the beach.

The One is a fantastic hotel in the heart of Lisbon and located close to restaurants, bars, and a wide assortment of night life. The service at this hotel is exemplary with a can do attitude from all staff (especially the concierge) to help make our vacation as enjoyable as possible. Very friendly and always willing to answer a question. Hotel was exceptionally clean. Breakfast included and every day was top notch with many options (eggs, fruit, breads, cheeses, coffee/tea, and specialities freshly made and served). Always left the hotel with a full belly every day.

I did not feel welcomed. Not on arrival. Not during my stay. At east an Ola! Or, how can I help? I know very little Portuguese so I spoke in English, the reception staff who is not speaking English made it diffocult for ccommunication. When staff do not understand what I say, staff would shrug their shoulders to dismiss the conversation or dismiss me (?) I stayed at Legendary Porto Hotel for 7 days and air conditioning unit was not working for number of days (half the week). The air conditioned unit stopped working on Wednesday middle of night, June 14. I reported the issue to receptiom desk after I had breakfast the next day. When I came back late in the day, the unit was not fixed. Porto temperature was hot. The room was warm. So, I went to reception desk about this issue. Mainenance came to the room shortly after, and the air condition turned on and started working again. The air conditioned unit stopped working again Friday night. I reported the problem the next morning. When I returned to the hotel at the end of the day, the unit was not fixed. I went to reception about this issue again. Maintenance came, turned unit on and it started working again. Then, the air conditioning unit stopped working for its third time. I reported. Then reception told me the AC cannot be fixed. The staff offered a change in room but I was leaving in two days. I cannot be bothered to move all my belongings.to a another room. I will think twice to return to Legendary Porto Hotel. Breakfast served was decent. The servers I must say was more welcoming (than reception staffs). Although, language can be a challenge in communicating, the staff surely made an effort with a smile. The staff were diligent. The rooms were cleaned daily, supplies replenished. Housekeeping staffs were diligent in this area. Maria Ferreira. She was management working at reception desk some days, was accommodating. She took the time.to engage with me and the other guests. The location of the hotel is walkable to nearby attractions. I hope these feedback is helpful.

the hotel was excellent and our travel agent had us on the main street as walking up hills is difficult for both of us' The staff were very friendly and our room service was done everyday with excellence' Our balcony overlooked the pool and it was wonderful to be able to have bkft on the patio' I would definately recommend these accomodations to any one visiting Albufuria.Fantastic

I loved this hotel. Within walking distance of everything, great food, shopping and sights. Staff was always willing to help with reservations and restaurant recommendations. The room was beautuful. The staff also helped us coordinate the covid tests we needed to return to canada.

We spent three weeks at Hotel Jupiter and don't have any complaints.The staff were friendly and helpful.Our room was spotless and made up every day.Breakfast had so many choices we were never bored.Orange juice is fresh squeezed.Situated in the very centre of Praia Da Rocha the beach is directly across the street and down a flight of stairs.There is a boardwalk the entire length of the beautiful beach.

This is an older, but nicely refurbished hotel, very centrally located with a fabulous approach to customer service. The restaurant and front desk staff speak English very well. The common areas of the hotel are well presented, clean and welcoming. The standard room is clean and spacious enough to make your stay comfortable...nothing extravagant just the essentials. The beds are rather hard and the pillows quite uncomfortable but like anything else, you get used to them after awhile. Rather disappointing for the North American traveler is the absence of a coffee maker and the fridge is used as a mini bar...quite impractical. Bringing a travel kettle is very worth while if you enjoy a hot beverage in your room. The sometimes included (depending on your package) breakfast is a large buffet with ample variety. The only problem is that they don't change the contents of the buffet offering even once a week which makes breakfast rather boring after a couple of days. The hot food, especially the scrambled eggs are horrible...definitely to be avoided. If you stick to the cold food selection you will be better off and happier if you stay is longer than three days. Dinner in the hotel is pricey but worth it if you don't want to venture far. The food is truly excellent, well presented and served. The "tourist menu" is a three course special that starts are 19E...very expensive. However, there are lots of well priced restaurants within a couple of minute walking distance from the hotel. The rooftop bar offers a fabulous view of the city but everything is overly expensive. You are definitely paying for the view. Nice to go up and have a look but only worthwhile if the view means something to your experience. The front desk is an absolute delight. You have access to their telephone operator who can make local phone calls to verify tours on your behalf and acts as a message service for anyone trying to reach you. Then there is an information area of the main reception with the sole purpose of answering your questions about where to go, what to do, how to get there etc and even offer for sale pre-loaded transportation passes upon request. A one day transit pass is 9E. (Look into getting a Lisboa card...not available through the hotel...for excellent value). The hotel also offer local maps, transit information...a true wealth of knowledge. A visitor's dream!! Check-in and check-out was also easy and painless. Everyone was always very courteous and pleasant. The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect...couldn't ask for anything better!! Overall, a fabulous experience at a wonderful, classic hotel. Highly recommended!!

I enjoyed my stay . Friendly courteous staff . Excellent meals , enormous buffet with variety. Clean room and the shuttle to the airport was so convenient. A tad bit pricey for one night stay but other then that it was all enjoyed.

Very nice hotel, well located with modern and well kept rooms. Don’t expect large rooms but who goes to Portugal to stay in the room. Perfectly located in the old town yet away from the bustle. Only drawback is the selection of tv channels. Wi available for free in rooms.

The staff were wonderful. I had a plumbing issue with my room. They rectified by upgrading me to a more deluxe room. Staff even followed up to ensure I was pleased. Breakfast buffet was top notch. Piano player did a very good job.

Use to be very good , now not so good , WiFi is only in lobby and is poor at best. room furniture is dated , TV is poor, channels out-dated unless you like "i dream of Genie" or Hogan's Heros . over and over again. phone calls are extremely expensive, .25 cents per second !!! hotel nickel and dime you to death for very little thing . example , must wear bathing cap for use of indoor pool, but charge you 10 euros to buy one that is worth maybe 1 euro , the happy hour was good then all of a sudden they stopped it , ?? Buffet is same everyday , except for 1 night a week . Still run shuttle to old town but now only every 2 hours from 10.00 a.m. to 4:00 pm.

The Apartment Hotel is situated between Old Town (some history and bars) and New Town (bars). About a 15-20 minute walk either way. 700 meters from the beach downhill. The complex is 3 star with 4/5 star staff who are helpful. The 5th floor ( top floor) is the only one with a good ocean view over the buildings in front. The units are the older style, basic furnishings and very basic kitchen ware. No wine glasses and very small coffee cups. Plates, Bowls, pots etc are fine. One sofa to sit in Living /dining room. The outer decks get larger as you down floors, however the lack of sun increases, and the view is lost. The studios are on the bottom floor. Large deck , but no sun and next to the pool. No dining except for a buffet breakfast @ 15.EU for two. Daily unit cleaning. That is a broom and damp mop, clean out the garbage, make the beds. Linen changes every 3rd day. The units are clean, just dated. It is at 3star as rated. Pool is not heated. Lots of parking for your car rental, which you should have, if touring the Algarve. Grocery stores are a 20-minute walk. 4EU taxi ride back. Some good restaurants from 5 to 15 minute walking . Mini mart located in the building and another one 50 meters away….Just in case. Stock is 2x grocery store price.

It was in the centre of a lot of attractions, the beach was very close, lots of restaurant were very handy and good Walking around was easy to a lot of fun attractions Hotel was clean. People were very pleasant and friendly .

Perfect room kept exceptionally clean. Check in as well as out very smooth.Staff were wonderful and very professional. Philippine and Jerome gave us wonderful places to visit.. You have to rent a car with gps which they deliver right to hotel. The pools outside were too cool to swim. Lots of wonderful places to walk. The food was very very good for a buffet and different theme every night. Breakfast was amazing and the only negative was you have to buy bottled water at dinner at 3.50 euros. Water and coffee free at breakfast. Very quiet hotel at night so if you are a partier this hotel is not for you. Exceptional value for a 2 week stay.

The Palácio Estoril is everything it’s motto says “Grand & Cozy”. The service from the reception to the cleaning staff are exceptional!! They could not do enough for us during our 8 day stay. We would definitely recommend the Palácio Estoril!!

First time in Portugal....Great location! Close to City Center, Shops, Supermarket and a variety of restaurants to entice your palette. Friendly and accommodating Staff. The one bedroom suite was very adequate, clean and comfortable with the kitchen addition it served the purpose if you did not want to go out and eat. The resort was well maintained.... very clean. They were doing minor repairs and maintenance while we were there. We would definitely stay here again!

This was an amazing hotel. It was spotlessly clean and the staff were extremely courteous. The breakfast buffet was incredible with offerings to please anyone including smoked salmon, soft cheeses, mimosas, olives, bacon, eggs and lots of pastries. The location was very convenient; a block away from the train station and beside the theater.

The hotel was very elegant. The room we had was spacious and well arranged. Everyday the room was cleaned spotlessly. The staff very knowledgeable and courteous. They were also patient with us under trying circumstances.

Hotel was nice, check in and out was relatively quick and pain free. Tourism tax was 2€ per night paid at the end of the stay. Included continental breakfast which was alright (more selection if you get there before 9). Room was large, clean and in good condition. Had a great view of the Castle. Operable windows so you can enjoy Lisbon and the sounds but was very quiet with the windows shut. Bed was quite stiff but lots of pillows provided and was able to get a good rest. 5 piece washroom. Shower seal leaked and they went to repair. No iron, maybe if i asked they would have provided one. Rooftop patio which had some nice views and was pretty busy. Pullout couch and a large bed were provided. Fantastic location being a short walk to all the wonderful areas of old Lisbon. Located directly beside the first stop for Tram 28 and the Metro (subway) red line. Would definitely stay there again. Great price.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Mundial. The building itself is in the transportation hub of Lisbon; it is the perfect home base for easy travel around the city. There are tram stops right in front of the hotel, and the metro and Rossio train station are a five to ten minute walk (on flat ground) respectively. The water front (should you choose to walk) is a relatively easy fifteen to twenty minute walk. It cannot be underestimated how important it is to have a hotel with a good location. Our room was much larger than we expected - plenty of space (two large double beds). It also had a window facing São Jorge Castle and direct line of sight to one of the parade routes in the city. I also enjoyed the bathroom for the comfortable soaking tub/shower it provided. The staff were generally all very welcoming and pleasant (including the door man outside). Breakfast was included and was also a real treat. A selection of meats, breads, pastries, and fruit; as well as a delicious coffee machine which created tasty beverages such as espresso, coffee americano, cappuccino and macchiato. Unfortunately the rooftop patio was under construction during our stay - we did get to visit it once, and it provided amazing views of the city, however that was a bit disappointing. Further, if you were hoping for a pool at your hotel you will not find one here. Also try your best to avoid the tuk tuks that are right next to the hotel with the pushy sales crew that will try and sell you rides around the city - public transportation in Lisbon is very cheap and easy to use, so you don't need them (unless you want the experience). That being said, I would definitely recommend this hotel should you be travelling to Lisbon, especially if you plan to do a lot of sight seeing around the city.

The hotel was very nice and the apartments were spacious and well equipped. On the down side the beds were extremely hard and also there was no decent internet. The pool area was beautiful and location was great as it was right in old town.

We booked a sea view room and were pleased with the view and the large room. The balcony was nicely sized for relaxing. The bed was a king made by putting two twin beds together. The room and bathroom were large and attractively decorated. The room was cleaned and tidied daily, although linens and towels were not changed unless requested for environmental reasons. The staff, was polite,spoke English very well and were helpful. I found the mattress too hard (arthritis) and they put a foam pad on my bed when I asked. There is a lounge with a reasonable menu for lunch/tea/ snacks that serves alcohol and breakfast and dinner were served buffet style. Breakfast was included in our package and was extensive. Dinner was good, for a buffet. Several nice restaurants within walking distance. Multitude of restaurants within 15 minute drive/taxi. Parking is free

Enjoy my holiday at Cerro Mar Gardens. The units are comfortable and clean. Every unit has twin beds which means staying with a friend works well. The lobby was in a separate building from us and free wifi was only available there.

I would highly recommend this hotel. Reasons I recommend: - staff super helpful - very central which made walking around easy - rooms are clean and comfortable; they accommodated all needs - the breakfast was also delicious.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. It was our first time to Portugal and we arrived just as a huge storm "The Beast from the East" and tropical storm "Emma" arrived in Europe. The surf was incredible, waves washing over the boardwalk and depositing sand on roadways during high tide. It was rainy, overcast with only very brief periods of sunshine. For this reason we didn't get the full experience of a busy seaside resort, but the comfort and hospitality of Dom Jose Hotel made up for it. This review will show that even if the weather isn't perfect, Dom Jose will make sure your stay is great. Note previous to our arrival they had not had rain for over a month and temperatures had been comfortably warm, it was luck of the draw that we arrived during a storm. We had travelled overnight on a transatlantic flight so were exhausted when we arrived, fortunately our room was ready for occupancy, even though it was only 10:30am, and check in is usually at 3pm. The front desk staff were very efficient. Unfortunately during our stay seaview rooms were all booked up, so we were not able to secure one upon arrival. It is highly recommended to upgrade to a seaview room with balcony to fully appreciate this lovely seaside hotel. We rented a safe key for our room 10 Euro deposit and 1.25 Euro per day. There are 2 elevators to service the hotel, very quick we rarely had to wait more than a few minutes for one to arrive. The hotel caters well to clients with mobility issues. Our room #709, was on the top floor, 2 twin beds, land view. Ample closet space and drawers for your clothes. Small fridge and electric kettle have recently been added to all rooms, which was much appreciated. TV had 4 English channels which was nice when we were in our room during rainy periods. Our room was spotlessly clean and well taken care of by staff during our stay. Soap, shampoo, body wash were provided. Shower had good water pressure and water was hot. In room air conditioning/fan unit worked well and was quiet. Breakfast (7:30-10am) is included in the room rate and a special discounted rate was offered during our stay for the buffet dinners (regular 20 Euro, during our stay 16 Euro for guests, drinks not included). We enjoyed the restaurant, food was hot, quickly refilled when items were low, staff efficient. Breakfast buffet was enough to fill us up until dinner. There was a selection of juices, hot beverage machine made coffee, cappuccino, hot milk, hot chocolate and hot water for tea. Cereals included muesli, corn flakes and raw oats. A suggestion to hotel would be to add a hot pot (soup pot) of oatmeal for guests, although a microwave is available the type of oats provided (old fashioned long cooking) did not cook down in the microwave sufficiently. Selection of breads, rolls, sweet pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, cold meats and cheeses. Hot service included crepes, eggs (fried, scrambled), bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans. I was able to get Gluten Free bread each morning, just had to ask one of the staff. We enjoyed the dinner buffet and ate at the hotel for 5 of our 7 nights. We started every dinner with a delicious soup, followed by a good selection of salad items, rolls/bread (GF bread on request). Hot items included local fresh vegetables, rice, pasta, vegetarian selection, fish (swordfish, sea bass, perch) various meats - duck, lamb, beef, chicken, pork. Every night was a different selection and all were delicious. Drinks are not included. We enjoyed happy hour at the hotel 6-7pm, where local brand drinks were half price (wine, beer). If you are hungry throughout the day, light lunch, snack items, coffee/tea are available in the hotel lounge. The hotel offers a wellness center and fitness facility, also a book exchange. There is a small sunroom off the dining area, overlooking the pool which has a TV, as well as several small tables set up ideal for quiet reading or a game of cards. The lobby lounge area is very comfortable and used by guests to read, play cards, enjoy a drink/snacks and socialize. The pool had sufficient loungers, pads available. It was much too cold to swim when we were there, but when the sun did come out, it was a well sheltered place to relax and soak up the sun. Pool towels are not included, but can be rented at the front reception. Easy access to the beautiful beach, where in better weather umbrellas and sunbeds can be rented. The fourth floor of the hotel has access to a rooftop deck area with sunbeds and a mini golf course. Weather was not suitable for playing, but a great addition to the hotel. The hotel also offers bike rentals, private transfers from airport, happy hour and can help with booking excursions. Wifi was free, but dropped quite a bit in our room and lobby. It was sufficient for our needs. There were also 2 computer stations, located off the lobby for complimentary guest use, 15 min. suggested time limit. Great for researching local information as well as confirming flights and travel plans. The central location of this hotel made it ideal for exploring the surrounding area. Within a few minutes' walk are numerous restaurants, bars, shops and grocery stores. The local bus station is across the road and made day trips to Abufeira, Loule and Faro quick and inexpensive (less than 9 Euros p.p.round trip). Seafront location made exploring the boardwalk and beaches easy. Local fruit/veg and fish market within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay very much and are already making plans to return next year. Highly recommend. Staff were eager to make sure our stay was comfortable. A questionnaire was supplied by hotel management on arrival to make notes of any concerns, showing the management is keen to ensure guests needs are met and expectations exceeded. 3 star hotel, with 4 star service! Nothing really to complain about, Vidamar provides great service, convenient location, clean and well-maintained rooms and facilities. We loved buffet style breakfast and dinner - great well-presented food variation. It's only a short walk to beaches through protected natural dunes. With a rental car, we have seen more of Algarve during a week than many people staying there for a month, truly it was a nice adventure. We will be back there one day again.

We would recommend the Mundial for a stay in Lisbon. It is centrally located with restaurants, shops and the waterfront with in walking distance. The buffet breakfast is a good start to the day. We were there early for breakfast the day we left and there were even custard cakes available! Be sure to visit the roof top lounge for a spectacular view of the city and a great way to end a day.

This hotel is situated in a perfect spot for a stay in Lisbon. It is a beautiful city and the week we were visiting in November had blue skies every day and perfect temperature. Hotel provides a breakfast and many sites and restaurants are with in walking distance.

This resort is amazing with so many things to see from the beautiful gardens to the outstanding view. Staff are polite and helpful. Check in and check out were a breeze. Planning the next trip to this beautiful island.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakast, nice touch of giving bathrobes to guests. Best feature is the rooftop bar and patio which has a fantastic view of the city. The only negative is that there should be more outlets in the room for charging. There was only one in the bathroom.

Cerro Atlantico, part of cerro mar gardens, was extremely clean and manicured grounds, rooms, and overall surroundings, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The main hotel, cerro mar, had the reception area, the larger pool, the spa and the main dining room, all of which would have been our choice to stay, but it was fully booked. As they were fully booked and your next choice was cerro mar Atlantic, we accepted that, but after check in at cerro mar gardens, yu have to carry your luggage, without aid of carts, or porter, up steep hill to arrive at your accommodations. There was one big issue with cerro Atlantico and it was a big one.....every weekend there were groups of men and women (although not in the same group) arriving from other parts of Europe' sometimes 15 members per group.....they were loud and obnoxious, and took over the pool grounds of Atlantico.....we were informed that the groups were there to celebrate the upcoming wedding of their friend.....the male groups were called bachelor party group and the female group were hen party group. This is popular from April through October, and three of our four weekends there this happened. The large noise and shouting carried on through the day and evenings, up until 3 to 4 am....for this reason we would not want to rebook a vacation at cerro mar Atlantico, if there was no available room at cerro mar gardens, and why we could not recommend cerro mar Atlantico to our friends.

This hotel is a great place to stay. The rooms are well laid out,comfortable beds,great closet space and very modern bathrooms. It has recently been renovated and it shows. We had an ocean view balcony with a great view of the beach which was just across the street and a few steps down. The expansive Dining room serves a wonderful buffet breakfast (included in our package) There is also a dinner buffet but we did not try that. There is a pool with a retractable roof, a spa, nice common areas as well as meeting facilities .The hotel stsff is helpful, always courteous and all speak several languages.Nothing was too much trouble for them.We asked for extra chairs so that we could play cards with our friends and these were promptly delivered to both our rooms. The hotel is situated at the quieter end of the street but very close to shops and restaurants. It's location is also a great jumping off point for exploring the Algarve. Our car rental agency was two blocks down and parking was nearby and free at this time of year.We would not hesitate to recommend the Hotel Jupiter as great place to stay.

We really liked our one bedroom apartment at Brisa Sol where we stayed for one month in March 2017. When we first arrived, we really appreciated being able to check-in early. Front desk staff were friendly, helpful and language was never a barrier. Our room was clean and spacious. The kitchen was adequately equipped with a good size eating area. Nice bathroom with a modern shower and lots of counterspace. Daily maid service was good and the ladies very kind and helpful. The hotel location was great with all the conveniences close by. Groceries next door and beach, restaurants, pharmacy, fast food and shops a short walk away. Buses and tours were all very convenient. Hotel amenities, pool and restaurant very clean and nice. Definitely a 4 star hotel.

Stayed here from Feb 15 to March 8,2017. We asked trip central agent for Marina view on highest floor possible. They corresponded with Marina suites .. No promises but they would see what they could do. What we got was first floor room 109. Spoke with staff about changing to higher floor to no avail as they were fully booked. We enlisted the aid of the transat rep. Nothing could be done. View was partial only of Marina with large white wall obstructing half the sight line. Room size was adequate and cleaning staff did a good job. Room needs refurbishing and is certainly not a four star, a two star perhaps. No shower curtain or shower door. Wall built out further wher shower nozzle was. No sun on the balcony either morning or afternoon, which was disappointing. Location of property is ideal as you can walk anywhere you need to go. Lounge chairs around pool were filthy and should be changed. This was part of an air itransat special booked through trip central in Toronto. No reps from trip central had visited this property and we relied on photos, which were taken in summer and showed everything in full bloom. Living room had two futon type sofas that were very uncomfortable. Would not recommend. I took a number of photos showing the deficiencies and will forward to trip central rep Maria.

Great size of apartment style, with full kitchen, dining table, bedroom, full bathroom. Loved the patio with sliding doors that open entirely to have the living room part of the patio. Nice view of pool area. Great little restaurant for breakfast and great coffee!

We had a great stay at hotel Mundial. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the rooftop patio had a great view and nice music in the evening. We specially liked the location as it was walking distance to the metro, train stations, and lots of great restaurants and cafes.

Clean & comfortable rooms! A little on the small size & beds a little too soft. No balconies & only 2 non smoking floors. Only indoor pool. No vending machines for drinks or water. Nice breakfast buffet. Friendly staff. Close to subway line. Most of the restaurants are down by the river.

The Tivoli was a great resort. The staff were very accommodating (we had to ask for a bathmat as the showers were a little slippery), the rooms (we had 3 different ones) were all in excellent shape and the location was excellent - near the beach and restaurants, but removed from too many other hotels. We could walk into Portimao, but the bus service was very convenient. The restaurant served an excellent buffet, although we ate mainly at other restaurants. A must see is the Fado at O Navigador in Alvor on Friday night and New Orleans Jazz on Sunday night.

Rooms and grounds clean. Service staff friendly and helpful. Walking distance to beach and restaurants on beach. Breakfast buffet very good value. Short bus ride to Portamao shopping; also to other nearby towns.

The staff at front are arguementative , everything has a cost , wi-fi , call for a taxi , even must wear a swim cap in the indoor pool , cost for that . Room had no sea-view but my reservations said we did , room itself was very dated . the stove and ac did not work had to call to get them working , hassle . The TV are the smallest I have ever seen with very limited channels , no table lamps Good rooms at this hotel are assign to "preferred customers" and Trip-Central and Air-Transat are not !! . Very over-rated , even location is not good , on a very steep hill and many steps down to old town .

Staff very pleasant and couldn't do more for you, but the place is desperate for a refurbishing and refreshing. Not well outfitted for a "long stay", but fine for two to three weeks if you plan to eat out or have very light meals. Non-stick frying pan would have been nice to fry an egg, also a wine bottle opener. Bathtub/shower combo comfortable to get into as there was a grab bar, and the vanity is there to hang on to. Supermarket very handy, just around the corner, and many restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance. Long walk up and down hills (about 3 - 4 km) to the "downtown" of Albufeira, but there is local bus that can be used: Green line there, blue line home. Ask to be let off at the "escalators".

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Clarion Suites in Lisbon. The hotel was well located at the top of Lisbon's main thoroughfare, Avenida Libertade, placing us is walking distance from many of the major sites. The room was well-appointed and extremely spacious (even by North American standards), with a large living/dining area, separate bedroom with two roomy (and very comfortable beds) and well-sized bathroom. Only a few small suggestions for improvement: the shower was functional but a bit awkward, the room could use a little more lighting, and the kitchen could be better stocked (e.g., coffee maker, more plates and cutlery). The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. For instance, they checked us in at 7.30 in the morning, when we arrived after a trans-Atlantic flight. They has a crib waiting for our infant. And the cleaning staff were great. They were also helpful in orienting us and providing us with suggestions. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others -- especially those traveling with children.

Right from the get go, the well attired doorman opened our Taxi door and greeted my wife and I into the hotel and led us to the reception. The service at the reception, the Service Desk the Waiters at Sky Lounge (particularly Daniel), the Maids doing the rooms daily, was absolutely amazing. The grounds were a beautiful green, well manicured and lots of beautiful flowers matching the hotel façade. The inside floors were shining and spotlessly clean, the carpets were very clean and beautiful, eye pleasing design. Our room was 19th floor (they adhered to our email request at booking time) overlooking the aqueduct and breath taking view of the city including the 25th April's Bridge and the National Sanctuary of Christ the King overlooking the city. Room was classy, very well arranged and clean, and maid came in daily and arranged it so perfectly and fresh high quality towels and other accessories changed every day. The dining was unbelievable! Tons of choices, very tasty and well prepared food, the items very thoughtfully and well placed, very clean dining room floors and high quality furniture and lighting. The security features of the hotel were very good having no access to floors you had no interest in. My wife and I were very sad to leave Corinthia Hotel, Lisbon after 7 nights of memorable stay there. Although now its 4 days from our return, we still dream about this hotel and the great time we had there. We have got back to work and told all our co workers and our net work of friends and relations about our memorable stay in Corinthia and how great the city of Lisbon is, to visit. We told them this hotel must never be missed if they ever go to Lisbon. It is well priced and tons of value. I am sure from word of mouth and our strong recommendation and our extensive network, lots will go to this hotel in the future. Thank you Corinthia you are being missed. We will be there again, soon.

This hotel did not disappoint. The rooms, staff, location and everything else you could think of was absolutely much more than we aniticpated for a Europeon vacation. We could not find one fault!!!!!!! We didn't eat at the restaurant but the food look quite acceptable. The bar is part of the cafe and you can sit inside or outside by the pool, weather permitting.

This hotel has the perfect location for wandering around central Lisbon. The staff were extremely helpful. The breakfast was plentiful, fresh and filling. The room we had was modern, clean and quiet (we faced the street).
