Very dissapointing experience for a 5 * location. I would say it's a 3* facility for service & food selection and quality. Service by front desk leaves a lot to be desired. Unhelpful overall. Never met or saw a Manager meeting customers or asking opnions the entire stay. The decor inside and outdoors were not inspiring. Especially the ala carte locations. The food selection and preparation not upto 5* level. The checkin and checkout process was a disgrace for a 5 * hotel. It felt like a college checkin. Guests are hearded like cattle to be seat for breakfast. No one walks you to your table. It was a never to be repeated experience!

Well kept hotel Buffet and restaurants served awesome food Nightly entertainment was awesome, although did not care for the Karaoke night. Nor did the other guests given attendance was minimal. Easy access to downtown Walking distance to shops to the west.

the staff were lovely, food amazing, the pools lacked shade and chair space the evening entertainment was disappointing, 1. same two employees and no big shows, and 2. we are old. it was overwhelming loud in the room so we left. we would stay again

Great location, great food and service. Friendly staff, very clean, close to shopping and water sports. Casino on site, local buses ran directly to downtown, very safe. Taxis readily available. All in all a great place.

Awesome resort - everything perfect and first class except for dinner reservations at the a la carte restaurants. Riu needs to revamp their process for dining in their restaurants and avoid the 5:00 pm lineups for non-elite guests.

Beautiful grounds, pool and room. Friendly staff but reluctant and nervous management, liability averse when we let them know of a food poisoning incident (these things happen). Tried to persuade us that we had a virus which it wasn’t. Four days later they sent crackers and Gatorade to our room, presumably as some sort of regretful acknowledgment. Totally missed the mark. Food otherwise was of good quality. Pool room etc very good.

Loved the grounds, always lots of loungers available, good shade everywhere. Food always great, good variety, plentiful. Loved the pot of coffee at breakfast, hot, but coffee on weak side. Staff very accommodating, keep rooms immaculately clean. Elevators breaking down daily. Are old, need to be replaced. Hallways are dirty, carpets should be replaced.

Beautiful beach , lovely staff, close to airport , good food . Can safely walk to town at night . Need to wake up early for beach chairs if you need shade. The island is a dessert so not a lot to see. Good snorkeling nearby .

Fun, Sun and a Constant Ocean Breeze...everywhere on Palm Beach. However, It is most definitely all the staff that keeps everyone wanting to come back again. The awesome STAFF who make the vib, drinks, pool activities and the fantastic food call happy, fulfilled folks back for a "Cant wait for a RE-DO at the RIU Palace Antillas Aruba!"

I am satisfied with everything, we had a nice week of rest. We are planning our next visit to the RIU Antillas. I regret that we cannot make reservations in the restaurants and it is inconvenient when you want to relax and have to stand in line for at least 1 hour. I have been to several similar resorts and you could make reservations in advance. I think this caused problems for several guests.

Had a great time, staff are friendly and helpful. Always clean. Was expecting more from the food, most of the food was OK, nothing to write home about. The buffet was the best option as it had a variety and changes daily. We ate there all the time as we tried several of the restaurants, either the wait was too long, or the food was not up to par (Italian restaurant is the worst). Location is great not too far from the airport. Depending on where your room is located, it can be very loud. Unfortunately, our room near the disco so there were some nights we did not get much sleep.

Rooms have recently been redone, all views of ocean, super friendly and super clean and fresh - no damp smells. Great pool area and most amazing beach - 4 kms of white sand and crystal clear water. Food choices between Riu Antillas and Riu Palace are plentiful . Fresh fruit choices every day, steak, chicken, fish, pork, lamb, vegetarian, fresh vegetables and salads and best desserts. Wait staff is attentive and super friendly. Good house wine choices. The gym could use an overhaul - a few missing free weights and often there was no paper towels for wiping equipment and no towels - so a disappointment - not maintained properly. TV's in gym did not work. but we will go back next year.

We went to this resort in early September and everything was fantastic except the weather was hot . We like smaller resorts because the access to the beach , pools and restaurants was great especially during super hot weather Staff was very friendly ,grounds exceptionally clean including the rooms , food great ( lots of fresh sea food), the elevators were fast . Great night life 15 minutes walk behind the hotel and some shopping as well There is a wonderful reef for snorkeling with so many different fish to be seen and free snorkeling gear from the resort The only 2 negative things : In order to get a palapa( for proper shade we had to wake up at 5:30/6 am ) In order to eat in the AlaCarta restaurants (4) you had to line up at 5:30/6 pm because they don’t allow booking so I fill we lost beach time when the weather was the best

Resort and the whole Aruba experience were very good. Hotel layout, grounds, pools and the beach area were very good. Food and meals and dining options were exceptional including access to the adjoining hotel. Room with partial ocean view was average. Only othercomplaint was not being able to reserve at restaurants.

The hotel room seemed updated. Very large bathroom, comfortable bed. Good view of ocean even though we didn’t have an ocean view room. Shower pressure not very good. Lobby is dark and very dated. Needs an upgrade. Food was good. Buffet had lots of options and many theme nights. Riu should change the “lining up” system for the a la carte restaurants and move to bookings with their app. It’s silly to have to line up if you want to eat at a specialty restaurant. I highly recommend the steakhouse. Get the filet mignon. Beach was beautiful. Water is clear. Pet peeve: having to wake up at 6:00 am to reserve a palapa. I’m not sure what the resort can do about this, though. Loved the water activities like water aerobics and riumba. Staff works very hard and I notice they don’t get many tips. The entertainment on Palace side is just ok. I didn’t typically stay past 9:10 pm to watch. I highly recommend!

The hotel and amenities were amazing. We’ve been to the Riu now 10 times. Food is Great. Accommodations were great and the beach was beautiful. Staff was absolutely wonderful. I would recommend Aruba to Anyone Considering a vacation there.

Stayed here for our honeymoon in June 2025 and loved it. - Beach was beautiful and the resort's best feature. Pools were nice, although we didn't use them as they were usually quite crowded. - Drinks and food were great too - liked the restaurants and buffets always had fresh food and were consistent (although we were not a fan of the desserts). We especially liked the 24 hr cafe, was very convenient. - Room was modern, nice bed and the hotel and bathrooms were always clean. - There is not too much entertainment but there was lots to do on the strip and the immediate area - 15 / 20 min walk from the resort - was safe and fun. - Staff were mostly nice, kind, respectful and service was always great. They appreciate tips but not necessary. - Resort had a good crowd of people, not very rowdy but still fun - notably, its an older crowd of 35 - 55+ yr olds. Was a great experience overall and we would love to go back some day.

The staff at the Riu Antillas is excellent in all areas. From the check in to the check out ,was all seemless. Beach ,Restaurants and Our room service was very good.! Theme nights were great ,Medireraean was my favourite.

We were very pleased with the hotel services and the food was excellent. Staff was also very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the daily pool entertainments. I would not hesitate to go back again or recommend it to friends and family. This was recommended to me by my sister and very happy that we went.

We thought the hotel was good. It is in need of some updates. The elevators were troublesome most days only two or three out of five were working. The carpeting is wearing and the lobby area had a leak from the ceiling.

Hotel was great. Clean, up-to-date, great staff, beautiful beach front, great food. Seven minute walk from town where there's additional restaurants, shops, and bars. No solicitors on the beach or in town. Very safe island. Beautiful soft sand beaches and ocean water with no seaweed etc. I'd recommend it.

Review of Riu Antillas Adult only(February 3 – February 11, 2025) I recently spent a week at the Riu Antillas adult Aruba, and overall, it was a very enjoyable stay with some standout positives and a few areas that could use improvement. Here’s a breakdown of my experience: Food & Dining Experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ The buffet was impressive, offering a great selection of food that exceeded the standard for most all-inclusive resorts I’ve been to. There was a variety of options to satisfy different tastes, and aside from one off-night, the quality and selection were consistently good. However, the à la carte restaurants were a hassle. They operated on a first-come, first-serve basis, meaning long wait times and the possibility of standing in line for an hour just to get a reservation. We found this frustrating and ultimately chose to stick with the buffet, which turned out to be a solid choice. Hotel & Grounds: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ The hotel itself has a bit of wear and tear, but nothing that significantly impacted our stay. While I tend to be detail-oriented and noticed small deficiencies here and there, the staff was incredibly attentive and worked hard to maintain the property. The grounds were spotless, which speaks to their dedication. Beach & Pool Area: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ The beach is one of the biggest draws of the resort, and while the ocean was beautiful, the beach itself was very crowded. If you wanted a palapa (shade hut), you had to wake up at 5:30 AM to reserve one, which was frustrating. Unfortunately, beach cleanliness wasn’t great, not due to staff negligence but simply because of how busy the area was. The staff was constantly working hard to maintain things, but with the high volume of guests, keeping the beach pristine was a challenge. Service & Staff: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If there’s one thing that truly stood out, it was the service. The staff was exceptionally hardworking and attentive. From housekeeping to the restaurant staff, everyone went above and beyond to ensure guests were comfortable and well taken care of. Overall Experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Would I return? Possibly, but I would mentally prepare for the beach crowding and the restaurant reservation challenges. The food, service, and cleanliness were all positives, while the crowded beach and dated areas of the hotel were the main drawbacks. Final Verdict: If you’re looking for a good all-inclusive with great food, excellent service, and a prime location in Aruba, this is a solid option. Just be ready to wake up early for a palapa and stick to the buffet unless you’re willing to wait for à la carte dining.

We had an awesome two weeks time!!!! Saw and did everything, plus had LOTS of time to relax. VERY clean and GREAT a la carts. Would we go back, no. We have other places to explore, but this is another check off our bucket list.

We decided to try the elite club and it was worth it in our opinion, even though it was quite a bit extra We loved our room on the 16th floor. It had three sliding glass doors to a corner balcony. You could see from one end to the beach to the other. The sunsets were amazing. I think the best part of the elite was that you were able to make reservations at the specialty restaurants. We saw people lining up as early as 5 PM for the specialty restaurants that open at 6 PM. That’s not my kind of vacation. The specialty restaurants are definitely worth it. You can get lobster tail and fillet mignon or just a massive lobster tail among other wonderful dishes. The Arubian, steakhouse, and Krystal restaurants were fantastic. We didn’t try the Italian. You definitely have to get up BEFORE 6 AM to get a shaded sun lounger closest to the water on the beach. If you’re not picky to be close to the water, you can get there around 7:30 no later. The pool loungers also are taken very early The food at the buffet is fantastic breakfast lunch, and dinner At lunch, there’s usually three different types of fish. They also have hamburgers and hotdogs. The staff are so friendly and attentive special shout out to our elite bartender at the pool ( yismel) and Davidson at the elite lounge The staff are constantly cleaning everything!

Antillas resort was quite nice and well kept. Staff were constantly cleaning the floors whether inside or outside. I didn't venture over to the Palace at all as I didn't need to. Rooms were well kept, however, I had to call the front desk to have housekeeping change the glass in the washroom and change all the towels, not just one set for one person. There was no ironing board in the room and when I asked for one, I was given a second iron. The beds were comfortable and there was always hot water. The AC always worked. The shower gel, shampoo and conditioner was a welcomed treat. The food at the buffet was amazing. Breakfast for royalty, including non-dairy and gluten free options. The a la carte restaurants: Rimini (Italian) and the Steakhouse served delicious food. The lunch buffet at Malmok was always full of interesting options. Waking up at 5:15 a.m. every day to reserve chairs by the ocean front was a bit much. There were more chairs available by the pool up until around 9 a.m. I would suggest that the resort allow for online reservations instead of having to leave a towel on a chair to mark your territory. I didn't find the water by the beach to be particularly clear. It was quite murky with sand at times but not much seaweed. I went snorkelling to see sea turtles and fish at Tres Trapi. It was a fantastic trip. The evening entertainment was fairly subdued and ended around 9:45 p.m. except for the white party on Friday night. That was fantastic, if you like dancing. The entertainment team worked hard to keep clients involved and amused. Overall, I would return to this resort for the food, sun, cleanliness and atmosphere.

I would recommend this hotel … it’s very clean the hotel staff exceptional .. I recommend queen size beds … do away with the double a must … the pool beautiful but way too many reserve seats and never use them very frustrating as a hotel that size only has one pool … doesn’t give everyone the opportunity to enjoy all aspects of the outdoor area … the pool for me brings rating down & dbl beds

After 2 travel disappointments (CUBA & PUNTA CANA) this was an amazing trip. Excellent service, staff were nice all smiles and seemed happy, food exceptional, premium quality and tasty with a lot of variety. The beach unbelievable... white soft sand, calm ocean waters, SWIMMABLE, fantastic weather, quality drinks, the list goes on and on. We are planning our return vacation already. I would recommend Riu Palace Antillas anytime.

We stayed at the Riu Antillas 5 years ago and it was one of the best Carribbean vacations we have ever had so we decided to go back this year. It has been renovated and I can tell you, we never had an issue the first time. This time we were so very Impressed. Our room was lovely .. clean, well stocked with towels, drinks, alcohol, beautifully comfortable bed and extra blankets. The patio was nice. Out of our room, the entire hotel did not disappoint. Well taken care of, clean, staff were all helpful. There was always a Sunwing rep there to help us when we needed advice. The pool area was awesome. We have no complaints. The beach was clean. The water very blue and clear. The restaurants were amazing. The food was great. The buffets had lots for everyone. I loved my stay there. Everyone was attentive. I hope one day we can return

First time to Aruba and was everything I've read about it,the resort was amazing, clean rooms,awesome food,friendly staff and great nightly shows,will definitely return to this resort, Went off the resort to Baby beach and it was great,water is crystal clear and clean,also went snorkeling and saw an octopus and many tropical fish and sea turtles.

My wife and I spent a week in April at the Riu Palace Antillas and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The resort is in a great location with amazing oceanfront views and the town right out the front entrance. The room was immaculate and I can’t say enough about the service. From the maids to the waiters to the bartenders everyone was phenomenal, very impressed. My only negative would be that the food isn’t up to par in my opinion. There’s a lot of it but it’s average at best with some of it being downright inedible.

Everything was second to none. The grounds were immaculate. The service was outstanding. They were always on top of everything. The food was so good at the buffet that we went there most of the week instead of the a la carte. The beach , what can I say , perfect !! Thanks Riu for everything. You truly are worth coming back for. Thank you tripcentral for organizing everything perfect.

We spent 1 week at Riu Antilles in 2023 and just returned from a 2 week stay there this year. Pros: - STAFF EXCELLENT! Everyone goes out of their way to make guests happy! - Overall the food is good (4 restaurants, 1 Buffet) - Numerous bars with quick and friendly service - We feel very safe here - Hotel, rooms, restaurants, grounds, washrooms and pool areas are kept very clean - Adults only, which is strictly enforced. Cons: Beach area - Not well maintained - many cigarette and cigar butts - Palapas require maintenance or replacing - many are in poor condition - Guests that reserve Palapas at 6 AM then leave chairs vacant for hours (rules are not enforced) - Loud telephone calls on speaker phone - Numerous speakers playing various music genres - Smoking - cigarettes, cigars and occasionally marijuana Pool area: - Pool area does not have enough umbrellas to provide shade for all the chairs - Cigar smoking in the swim up pool - Washrooms need updating Misc: - Loud guests in the hallways late at night (after disco closes) We will be looking at alternative resorts for next year. Our main concerns are the inability to secure a Palapas without waking up before the sun rises and the lack of umbrellas around the pool. We head south for beach and pool enjoyment but consider shade to be an essential element that Riu Antilles does not adequately provide. While the staff are phenomenal, we have witnessed, on both visits, a number of guests that are totally inconsiderate of the enjoyment of others.

We loved this resort. The staff was amazing, the food great and the rooms very clean. The highlight was all the live music. We loved the boardwalk for morning walks. A market place is only a five minute walk from the Riu with lots of fun restaurants. We had a great vacation.

Everything was wonderful, very good from the housekeeping, front desk staff, towel lady, pool staff (drinks, beach, pool). The steakhouse food was dellicious. Staff very courteous. Like a manager coming by at our table, to make sure everything was good. Really enjoyed the AV tour around the island. Highly recommend. Aruba is very expensive, but it is worth it. Planning to come back next year - will be our 3rd time to the island. The only complaint is when we went shopping in town and ordered a small beer and a diet coke...she charged us $15.00 US.....the only sour thing that stayed in our mouth. We felf ripped off. But that has nothing to do with the hotel. Next time when we are away from the hotel we will ask first the price, before we order. We are very happy, all in all with the resort.

Riu is top notch. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food is excellent, best we’ve had at any resort. Immaculate rooms and grounds. Close to airport. Weather perfect. Expect and prepare for wind. Not a drop of rain. Highly recommend.

The entire place was amazing. The alacarte restaurant system was crap but the choices at the buffet made up for it. The people and service were outstanding and make this place a 5 star. Trying to find a seat at the ocean or poolside is hard because people mark their spots early but the staff are quick to find you a spot.

Our second visit to Riu Antillas. No disappointments again. 5 star resort all the way. The Beach is phenomenal, best beach ever and can walk long distance. The staff are superb. The manager Alex is amazing and takes the time to say hello everyday and have conversation. Big applause to the chef at the Pasta station in the Buffet. Great hotel with a great ocean view. We had a suite with a king bed. Nice firm mattress. Good housekeeping and fridge re stocked each day. Great buffet with lots of variety and different options each day. La Carte restaurants were all great with the Italian one being our favorite. Only negative about them is the same menu all week but still enough options. Do suggest to get there early as they do fill up. We never had a problem. Great service and lots of smiles. Lunch is buffet only and sane as breakfast. Pool and beach have the usual problem with guest claiming spots. We always went to the pool mid afternoon and never had a problem. Nightly entertainment ranged from good to excellent. Friendly staff and area is safe with lots to do in the immediate area. The lobby bar gets busy and noisy around dinner time.

Obviously a pretty smart hotel chain that will be around for a long time. My only beef was that some people still tie up a lounge chair all day by placing their belongings there early in the am and leaving them all day - plus a few actually take more than 1 chair each and pretend it's in use by someone else. No easy way to police that, but the beach and pool staff were trying.

My family of 4 (2 adults, 19 and 20 year old) decided to visit the first week of January. Firstly I want to say that our agent Robyn was great and will happily use her services again. It was a sunwing package and we weren't expecting much however they proved us wrong. They were great and on time. The only part we didn't enjoy flying out of Toronto is that you have to shuttle to an alternate mini-terminal to board the plane. That is not their fault but still not great when you are coming back and are subject to cold in the winter time. Arrival: Great shuttle, easy to find....welcome was lovely. We asked to see if we could be upgraded as our AMEX card allows for free upgrades. We were given the run-around about their definition of upgrades, etc. Not cool. As was charging us for the extra hour past check-out despite them not needing the room that day...nickel and dime-ing. However, from then on the hotel experience was a lovely one. We had 2 rooms, 2 junior suites. We ended up on the North side of the building (odd numbers) and got a partial ocean view. My kids had the end unit which was much larger as it accommodated 3 people. The only issue I had with our room is that there was a large frosted window between the bed and the bathroom shower. There was also a motion-detector light so if one of us got up to go use the bathroom it woke the other as the light shone through. Just didn't make sense to us. Housekeeping was excellent and friendly. They do need to upgrade to having the room passes on the hotel wristbands as we had to reset our cards at least 10 times as they demagnetized despite us being careful not to have them near our phones. Which is also an inconvenience as you always have to be aware of that. The pool was lovely as is the beach. You can't beat Aruba weather and we didn't see any bugs! So far staff is great, hotel is clean, ambiance is lovely.....now the 2 reasons we would make this only a fair hotel: 1. Having to get up at 5 am in the morning to get a palapa on the beach or poolside. This is ridiculous and you would think by now resorts would have a system that would allow you to enjoy your vacation without having to stress about this. Just unbelievable. and 2. The food was just mediocre. Now some reviews have said it was great and you have to keep in mind what everyone's baseline is.....we used to work and frequent Club Med with our kids. We were always under the impression that Riu was at the same calibre....definitely not when it came to food. Us as non-drinkers (and they were generous with alcohol), this is important. Of all the restaurants we enjoyed the Krystal the best (were also disappointed to find out we could not use the restaurants at the Palace though we were told we could). We did end up eating out one night at that was fantastic...so not an Aruba issue...definitely a Riu one. The cafe was a nice spot to hang out. And again the staff was great, I can't say that enough. The issues are a systemic one. Not a reflection of the Arubians. Would I go back again? Not likely but it was a good intro to Aruba. PS one bonus: they used real coconut cream in their Pina colada's....the way it should be.

Hotel is very nice and well kept. Employees are constantly cleaning. I was there with my daughter that just turned 18. Some employees I found them to be a bit unatentive because I wasn’t there with my husband. During meal time they would ask if we have a drink but they would never bring it. Beach guys weren’t nice at all. They were nice to males but not females that were alone. At least that was my experience.

The resort room was very nice with a good sized balcony. The dinning rooms where well staffed with excellent food and variations being served. No problems getting drinks with your meal. Just went to the buffets since the A-La-Carts where always full. Pool area was clean and also easy to get drinks delivered to your lounger. Had to go early to get a lounger. Beach loungers where near impossible to get unless you got up before 7am. Was a bit dissapointed in the entertainment. Music was very loud and shows weren't very good. The staff was extremely friendly. We would definitely go back to this resort.

Would highly recommend RUI Antilles, staff very friendly, grounds super clean, rooms modern and maids very friendly, will over stock your fridge daily. Food amazing, buffet large variety of meats, vegetables, oh and dessert. Pools are clean, bartenders friendly and have a great sense of humor. Walking distance to town, bars are hopping at night. Nothing bad to say!

My husband and I stayed at the Riu Palace Antillas from Nov. 25–Dec.2, 2023. The vacation was booked through Tripcentral earlier in the year and we travelled with Sunwing. We booked a Junior Suite. My overall impression of the hotel was a solid 7/10. The Good: Lots of staff – that are friendly and caring, speak English fluently and are attentive (Hi! Miguel at the pool bar – you are the best!). The food was great, drinks were plentiful (mix of top shelf and off-brand liquor) and strong, and wine was readily available. The hotel was clean, and the calm pool was a good size (albeit a bit chilly – which we found strange given how warm Aruba is). The Fun Pool is lively and the afternoon Entertainment staff are a blast) prepare to get the most sun all day in this pool from 2-4 p.m.) Check-in was a breeze with no credit card given or swiped, nor did they ask to view our passports (which I also found to be different, but appreciated). The White Party on Friday night was a lot of fun and the disco afterwards was good too (although the disco is closed on Sunday and Monday I believe). The beach is perfection – white sand, turquoise water, no seaweed. We walked to the break a few times and looked at the beautiful shells that wash up (Note: you are not allowed to take shells, coral or sand off of the island). The hotel is compact and you don't need to go outside to get to dinner (good for the hair!) and the a la cart restaurants are located in the lobby where reservations are on a first come, first served, basis (they give you a vibrating disc like you'd get at The Keg to know when your table is ready based off a list they keep). The lobby bar serves an excellent espresso martini while you wait. The gift shops on the lower level are really good – you can get anything you need there – liquor, wine, beach bags, souvenirs, personal toiletries, etc. The Mediocre: People from the Rui Palace next door came over a lot (no kids though) to use the lawn chairs at the pool and beach (they had the peach coloured towels, we had blue). Beach side lawn chairs and palapas are limited in numbers and claimed VERY early in the morning by guests (as early as 6 a.m.) who often don't show up until later in the day. There were many days we needed assistance from the Pool & Beach staff to help us setup a makeshift place to sit (although they were very helpful in doing so). The room service menu is very limited (sandwiches and ceasar salad, plus a fruit plate – no burgers or fries or pizza) although there is a 24/7 café that has a cappuccino machine and tuna/ham sandwiches (made fresh daily) along with desserts, nachos and a fountain pop station in the main lobby that you can go to. The room itself was average at best. Small with a view of the connecting rooftop below us and just a glimpse of the ocean. The show at the Palace next door went until after 10 p.m. each night and was loud!!! Also, the buffet was so noisy with service and clearance stations in plain view beside patrons. The clacking of cutlery was so noisy I felt like I was in a high school cafeteria (but in fairness the servers were attentive – bringing you your drinks and clearing plates promptly) and seating was plentiful. Overall, I would say that if you have been eyeballing this property for a while (like I did) it's worth checking out. Aruba itself is nice although far (5 hours from Toronto YYZ) but the resort is only 20-minutes from this airport and the transfer was easy. I can see why this resort draws a mostly older (55+ crowd) because it's pricy, but the food and beach are very good – so you do get what you pay for. If we return to Aruba we might go to a different resort to get a more luxurious room or upgrade our room at the Antillas (maybe). We felt very safe there (both the resort and in Aruba overall), and used our time in Aruba to relax (forgoing all day trips, excursions and not even going into town – which I do which we had done) choosing to lounge, read and sleep.

Loved this resort. Newly renovated rooms are very well done and comfortable. Excellent service all around from front desk to restaurants and bars and all other areas. Beach is beautiful and lots of chairs for everyone. We will be back. One area of improvement I would suggest that they have hand sanitizer available in the restaurants especially the buffet areas.

This was one of the best vacations I have ever had!!! Absolutely no complainants…. Hotel was extremely clean, professional friendly staff in all areas of the hotel Food was amazing at buffets and all alacartes Pool area was beautiful and clean Beach was amazing lounge chairs n palapa available ocean was always warm

Resort was very clean, check in was easy & room was updated and well kept. Grounds were also very clean & staff were exceptional. Buffet was excellent with many options daily, catered to all diets! Lunch buffet was my favourite! Snack bar/cafe open 24 hrs, you won’t go hungry. Endless options for cocktails & delicious! Beach was phenomenal! Did not spend any time at the pool as there was construction on the neighbouring site, eye sore to look at, be sure to not have a room on this side! Did not like that you needed towel cards, resort does NOT have unlimited towels for the day, was told I could not get more than 3 towels per day? A little ridiculous. Also, getting a palapa in the morning wasn’t easy, signs say “No reserving” yet there was multiple chairs with towels sitting for 3-4 plus hours with no people using!!!! Workers on the beach were being bribed to keep your spot on the beach…Overall had a wonderful trip, will be back, resort just needs to step up the game with removing towel cards, room cards & the whole “reserving” of the palapa situation! Love the island & would stay at this resort again, just needs minor changes to keep up with the times! :)

We had a great time. Rooms and resort were very clean. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. The only negative was the food. We at one if the specialty restaurants and the food wS cold when it arrived. The buffet was good but often had repeat items.

Sept 3-Oct2/23 wonderful experience, ROOM 1014, couldn’t have asked for more, maid service and fridge stocking was great. ($5 a day and) always had towel swans, 3 facecloths, clean towels and beer and pop in fridge. Didn’t even use booze dispenser. BEACH AND POOL both great, yes had to get towels on beds at ocean early but staff always there to help. Ocean had small dip getting in for us older folks on one windy day. Pool and every chair cleaned every am. Every bathroom always spotless. Never saw such cleanliness. STAFF wonderful especially Allen at pool was the best!!! FOOD, ate at Buffett, can’t go wrong, lots of variety. (Went to one Al la carte, Italian, not very good Lasagna,, but some meals looked ok, not much to choose from. We got soup for starter, but it was SALAD OR SOUP, make sure you pick salad bar cause the salad bar had tons of stuff (should not be one or other) we left hungry. DRINKS WERE very good, sure had lots of variety! If I had to say one negative it would be that there is no bar service AT THE BEACH and for us older folks the walk was not easy.lol Elevators worked, always got clean beach towels from a very friendly lady. If you need room service, not much variety. We were MORE THAN EMPRESSSED!! Love to go back but flight seemed long in “sunwing sardine can” with no movies, snacks, one glass of water and no movies, one window per 2 rows.

I got a nasty cut to my arm on the first day. When elevator door closed on my arm and I was surprised at lack of medical attention available. But up and above it was a beautiful resort and the staff were tremendous 🥰🥰🥰

The hotel and the rooms are very clean and service was excellent. The food was delicious in the speciality restaurants and the buffet. They say Aruba is a windy island but the breeze was welcoming allowing you to spend the entire day on the most beautiful beach. Cant wait to go back!

Best experience I've ever had, friendly, great service, amazing food, Aruba is beautiful. We had the time of our lives, the ocean is gorgeous, nothing bad to say what do ever. I'd go back to this hotel again in a heartbeat.

We stayed at the Riu for a glorious week vacation with my 83 year old mom and a friend. I can honestly say we wanted for nothing. Right from the time we arrived the staff were out of this world. They went on and beyond to make sure all our needs as guests were taken care of. The food at this resort was amazing and there isn't anything you would want for. The steakhouse and Italian at night were our favorite. The constant cleaning was ongoing throughout the hotel. It was spotless. Hats off to management at this hotel for running such a well run chain. Oh and the beach and water. Absolutely stunning. A huge thank you to our agent O'Neil Graham. His service is always over and above the call of duty.

The location on Palm Beach was perfect. Room clean & beds most comfortable. Staff accomodating with requests for extra bedding/toiletries etc. Food available in 4 themed restaurants along with buffet. Great variety Casino ( especially for craps players) - only one table , but always action from 9 30 pm onwards The general atmosphere inside as well as great daily entertainment around the pool.( Adult oriented.... not for kids ) Nothing negative to say about our stay.

We had a great time the Riu Antillas. The hotel was clean inside and out we had no issues with the accommodations. The staff were extremely friendly and were always there to help us out. The food was excellent at all of the restaurants and buffets. We would highly recommend the Aruba Antillas as a destination for anyone looking for an awesome Caribbean get away

Our priorities in choosing a hotel are safety, cleanliness and service. The Riu Palace Antillas more than exceeded our expectations. The entire hotel was impeccably maintained and we never worried about our safety or that anyone would violate our belongings at the beach or around the pool. The service was superb; requests handled promptly and efficiently. A staff member was never more than a few steps away. The food was fantastic, especially the 4 restaurants, the Italian being our favorite. The only criticism we would have is the amount of activity and music around the pool. There are 2 pools, a smaller swim up bar and directly beside it a larger “quieter” pool with a pathway separating the pools from the beach area. From about noon until 5 every day the entertainment staff hooked up their speakers to engage the pool guests in games, activities, dancing etc. It would have been nice if the “quieter” pool was a little further way. A few notes for first-timers… - Exchange your dirty pool/beach towels at the end of the day so you have them to reserve your palapas/pool chairs early the next morning. For front row palapas, you need to be there by about 6:00. 7:00 gets you second or third row (which really isn’t bad!). There always seemed to be palapas available, albeit closer to the pool). Each palapa has a number but we left a book to identify which was ours…just in case we forgot the number. - Make sure you download the Riu app and go to “Bars and Restaurants”. You will find the menus, hours and a description of the restaurants/bars. There are QR codes to scan at each restaurant instead of menus (although they are available if you don’t have your phone). Besides the noise issue, we really did enjoy our stay and give full credit to the staff and management at RIU Hotels – they are top class!

As usual the RIU did not disappoint. I enjoyed the beach and pool area. Food was superb and staff very helpful and friendly. Room was comfortable although the bathroom lacked any kind of towel bar or hook. It was inconvenient as there was no place to hang towels. I did not have a an ocean view room. The only negative was a construction project right next door of the new St. Regis resort and a barge in the water in front of it. It was noisy all 7 days. But that can’t be a negative about RIU, just a comment about the surrounding area.I enjoyed walking to the strip at night, felt very safe. Took public bus to Orajenstadt, it was a beautiful short ride, getting to know the island. Cost was US$2.60 one way. No need to take taxis or tours. Lots of tourists everywhere. My vacation was a success.

Hotel was really great. Rooms were large and clean. Service throughout was efficient and very friendly. The buffet was very extensive and of high quality. The other restaurants were excellent for dinner although there could have been a couple more for greater variety. The location of the hotel being right on the gorgeous beach was perfect.

Everything was fantastic. We are saving and planning to go back next year. Unfortunately, the entertainment/theatre was under construction later in the week, but that was okay, we walked around the area and visited the sister resort.

It’s are 7 th times at this Resort and again are best one so far again . The staff, house keeping, Bartenders , Waitresses, pool entertainment, Beach teams . All excellent . The Buffet is just amazing.

The hotel was beautiful. The rooms were very spacious. Constant cleaning around the hotel. Really appreciated that. Staff were so friendly and always trying to please. Beach spectacular. Felt very safe no matter where you were on the resort. Food was amazing. Always a good variety and an abundance of quality food. Entertainment a bit weak and stopped too early. Would definitely return.

Simply perfect -- not a thing to complain about ! The rooms were lovely and clean Staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and sometimes even funny and engaging. Food was spectacular -- many options, but honestly could eat at the buffet every meal and never tire of it.

This is our forth visit to the Riu in aruba. The resort is spotlessly clean, service impeccable, friendly staff. Food was fresh and delicious. Pools and other amenities are fantastic. The only disappointments are the fact that reservations can’t be made for specialty restaurants and the outdoor entertainment is too loud. There are very few rooms that are not impacted by the booming noise from the outdoor venue and the noise does not stop until 11pm.

This hotel has it all. Fantastic staff, great entertainment, awesome choices for food and beverages and a extremely clean resort. This is our second time at the RIU in Aruba and I know there will be a 3rd visit.

Stayed for 1 week at this truly amazing hotel. Well equipped large Jr Suite with bar and mini fridge that's restocked as needed. Beautiful walk in shower with a rain head, and detachable handheld showerhead. Resort was extremely clean and well maintained. Can't say enough about the food, restaurants, and staff. So many dining options, and the food itself was excellent, with outstanding presentations. Danny, the manager was often in the main buffet area, always available to answer any questions or concerns, or simply to chat to. All the staff were easy to talk to and helpful. Pool was actively used by exercise classes, volleyball, swim-up bar and people standing around, especially during the foam party. We preferred the beach and ocean swimming. Crystal clear water, and no seaweed whatsoever,. That said, the beach down by the Divi Phoenix was rock strewn and did not make for good swimming, so the Antillas beach was by far a superior choice. Palapas were plentiful, but usually taken by 7:00 a.m. as were the loungers, poolside. Nightly entertainment was available in, we watched a great Pirate Show with talented acrobats. Some bar tenders were better than others, as is the case at any hotel. Try the Aruba Ariba drink - powerful stuff. The Expresso bar had your choice of fresh coffees, beer on tap, desserts, sandwiches, hot dogs, nachos with deep, 24 hours a day. Some staff wore masks, most didn't. Very few guests wore masks. We wore our masks on the flight there and back, but not at the hotel. We will definitely be coming back to this hotel.

An excellent vacation opportunity awaits you at RIU Antillas. Adults only made for a moderately peaceful meal time at one of the 4 a la Cart restaurants. Since the alcohol is all inclusive, you will most likely encounter at least one party group that will think it is the most fun and do something to remember their High School amazingness. We only had a few interruptions to our meals from a younger crowd. The food as such at all meals is excellent. From the theme nights at the buffet, the Italian with an appetizer/salad buffet then a la cart, the Main Fancy Krystal with drink service at your table side, the steak house, and our favourite the arubian themed restaurant. Drinks are not watered down and they have a set menu with the occasional diversion if they know it. From the bar in the lobby with real glasses, to the pool side and then the waterfront at night with sturdy plastic look alike glasses (ie Martini or highball) the service was nearly always excellent and the drinks well made. For our beach days we always would take our ‘yeti’ mugs and they would fill them to the rim with whatever we asked. In fairness, we always tipped for every drink as they did this without being asked. The coffee bar with snacks is convenient and made a nice mix of espresso and other coffee/milkshake drinks with fancy cakes and treats available…. Even nachos and bagged sandwiches. The rooms were perfect…. You are not there for the room, but from the bar fridge with coke product (thank you!) and local beer, they also had the RIU four booze bottle bonanza in the room for your pleasure. I honestly just used the vodka to clean our yeti’s lol. But there is also Rum, whiskey and brandy awaiting you for your mixing ideas. Nightly entertainment can be fun or avoided. Ice cream was around for lunch and supper as an after dinner treat or a late night pizza snack. Stores are in the basement for knickknacks, aloe, bathing suits, hats or more alcohol and minor medical or bathroom toiletries. The shuttle bus and tour guide from the airport were insightful and helpful in understanding the island and the lay of the land and the people. The check in was amazing. I give high marks for this alone! Beach and poolside. The only chink in the armour. If you are not up by 630, you will NOT have a palapa. If you are not up by 0700, you will not have a chair at the pool. If you are not at the beach before 9am, nearly all the chairs will be gone. Keep your towel from the day before ( you get a chit and get your beach towel with it. Must be returned at the end of your stay or pay for a towel ) and lay it out on your beach chair to claim it. You have two hours. If you are not back your chair or palapa could be given to someone else. We only had two people try to claim our dirty towels and palapa once but they relented fortunately. Then change your towels for clean. The final downside… people drink, people get loud. We had a group of 50 ( they claimed ) teachers and professors from southern Ontario (Windsor area…. Guess while kids write exams, they take off) who began to claim a large berth of the beach area for themselves. This does happen with big groups. Big groups get loud and with alcohol get louder. Then they start talking like they are in high school still ( potty humour ) and think that everyone would like to hear their choice of music. Loudly. By the time the afternoon had begun we were sitting side by side with this large loud group. Seniors around us looked over with disgust and moved elsewhere. It’s a vacation. Everyone is entitled to a good time and enjoy themselves and this group was on day one. Instead of making a performance, we picked up and moved as well since their drinks and chairs were all mixed with ours and we were getting upset. Take a deep breath and relax again in quiet. No point in ruining my vacation because they felt theirs was more important. Yelling from the water, making fools of themselves is what we have sadly come to expect from that group of professionals. A bit entitled I fear. So depending on your crowd (which for nearly the entire week was excellent for us!) and what music groups like to play at the beach ( really? With all the headphones created you think I still want to hear your 9 hrs mix tape?) You will have an excellent time at the Beach. I was totally relaxed the rest of the time. The kayaks, paddle boards and snorkelling is free. We saw over 26 varieties of fish at the ‘come back kid’ coral reef. It’s trying to live but people don’t understand and walk all over. Please just float…. Don’t touch. We even saw two different types of eels around it. Almost saw more there then on some Scuba trips. Conclusion? Resort is awesome. You cannot eat at the a la cart at the neighbouring RIU ( depends on who you know… or if it’s not busy ) but yes to the Buffett. Yet, you have your own sans kids with almost the same goods. Pools and such are interchangeable…. Some guests found the bars didn’t like making drinks for opposite resorts. We never tried. Tip for every big diner, tip if you want for breakfast and lunch ( they do work hard and smile a lot thru a lot of crap ) and the bar tenders. Housekeeping is amazing… tip big. And the pool/beach guys. Working hard dragging chairs and such around for a lot of unhappy people. Don’t know why people can’t relax and enjoy such a paradise. Tip them big once and they will help you the rest of the week. I only had a dollar one day and he was just as happy as with the big one. “Tips is tips” he shrugged. Good on him. You will love it. Just be prepared to move your beach position or get security involved if it’s really a problem to you. Please enjoy! We most certainly did!

This was a great place to go. The grounds were incredible, people very friendly. The food was excellent. One of the best vacations I've ever been on. Very clean throught out.I look forward to going back again next year.

Hotel Riu Palace Antillas is a great hotel. Pro's: amazing beach, good food(although repetitive), friendly people, fun casino, clean. Con's: facecloths & toiletries are not replenished unless you call the front desk, you have to line up for a beeper to dine at the restaurants (I would prefer to make reservations), entertainment is lacking. Biggest con of all: the bed is very hard... did not sleep well the entire trip as I prefer a softer bed. We had so much fun playing cornhole with Mona by the pool! The gentleman who played Saxophone by the pool was phenomenal! Enjoyed a little dance party with live music in the outdoor foyer one night. Rooms are a little small, but you don't spend time in there anyways. Overall would go back!

The rooms at the hotel have been updated and are very generous in size. The hotel is well maintained and offers a great selection of food choices and the coffee bar was an excellent stop for coffee, pastries and other various item including some delicious sandwiches. There was always some type of entertainment from the disco to the pool to the stage shows

it is a good hotel ,location is nice ,food tasty .rooms big enough, beach is clean, water is clear, some entertainment and people are the best .we would highly recommend this place, and we would like to go back again.

This is my 6th time to Aruba, second time to the RIU. The others were timeshares. As a solo traveller, it was easy to meet other travellers, everyone is so happy to be on "one happy island". Resort is close enough to walk to Palm Beach village or grab the bus to head downtown Orangestad for the day. Short walk to grab the "boardwalk" that runs all the way to past the divi's. The rooms are bright, clean and good for what you need them for. Water/beer/pop in the mini-bar fridge replenished when necessary. Cleaning staff are always on hand and do a great job! Food excellent - prime rib, hamburgers, sushi, ceviche, chicken, fresh vegetables, pasta, cheese, bread, desserts, and so much more, plentiful. Ate at the steak house one night, IMO buffet is just as good! Lobby bar & 24 sports bar - delicious cocktails and treats! Pool bar - Elsa, Camillo and rest the staff work tirelessly and always with a smile. Great service and quality! And they have Caesars for us Canadians. Beach - best in the Caribbean! The guys who bring you your chairs are always so accommodating. My one beef is people get up at 445am to save palapas, I gave up trying, ugh! Grounds - well manicured and someone always cleaning. Sunwing rep - we had a hiccup with our delayed flight and had to seek out our rep to find out what was going on. Would have been nice to let us stay longer in our room but I kind of get they have other people to put in those rooms. Misc. - room service is great, small/simple menu, foam party was a blast, security is everywhere - always felt safe, didnt go to the disco or any of the shows. I would say, do yourself a favour and just book it, but then the prices will go up and it will cost me more. So ... book somewhere else ... LOL

Hotel was mid sized, Rooms were recently refurbished and perfect. We were in room 1004 and view of sunset was slightly obscured by construction next door. Staff amazing and received prompt service from front desk.

Our stay at this hotel was amazing! It lived up to all the great reviews! Food beach staff and rooms did not disappoint!!! Worth the money. Any bad reviews should be ignored!! Great pool vibes and Casino!

Everything was great at this resort. Food was amazing. Service was great. I would definitely recommend this resort and I will come back. The weather was great and I felt very safe at this island. Casino slots did not give much.

Fantastic staff, SUPER clean, great food and beautiful beach! 10+ For Us! Five minute walk to downtown Noord. Could not be more pleased with our vacation experience at the Riu Palace Antillias! Beautiful resort and beach. This is the second time we’ve been to this resort and we would go back. Service and the staff were excellent. Rooms recently renovated and food is incredible. Nobody wore masks and no hand sanitizer available anywhere on resort but we didn’t feel uncomfortable. A new resort is being built next door so there is construction noise while you are on the beach but it’s not all day long and wasn’t too annoying.

We stayed a week on the non-construction side on the 13th floor. Pros: our Sunwing flights were good and without delay, friendly staff throughout, hot sunny weather, well kept grounds, beautiful sandy beach, easy walk to shops, nice to have the option of bars, buffet restaurant and pool at sister resort next door, good selection of food in restaurants and buffet, great housekeeping and coffee shop, renovated room with spacious balcony with ocean view, good activities staff. Cons: construction next door was very loud six days a week (loud pool music couldn’t muffle it), difficult to get a palapa during prime time (we arrived very early or late afternoon), NO Covid protocols (NO hand sanitizer at buffet or near elevators- gross). Wouldn’t return unless price fell significantly. Overall a 7/10.

The Pros:The resort was beautiful and well maintained and kept very clean. We requested a room with 2 Beds and on opposite side from Construction and they did accommodate our request. The service by wait staff, bar tenders etc was excellent and everyone is friendly and happy. Our room was kept impeccably clean by the maid staff. The Cons: The construction next door is very loud and could be heard at pool and beach and is disturbing. Honestly, I would not recommend this hotel until the loud construction is completed unless you are getting a super good deal and don’t mind loud banging and grinding sounds constantly from Mon to Sat inclusive. We were fortunate that our hotel room Was on the opposite side- the guest staying in the rooms on the construction side overlooking the pool must have been awoken early by the noise. We were disappointed in the lack of attention to covid protocols At the buffet and throughout the Resort. There were NO Bottles Of hand sanitizer anywhere; We asked one of the managers about this One day at the buffet and she said something about not Being able to get it Supplied. There are several spots where tongs are shared so there should have been hand sanitizer everywhere in the buffet dining room, by elevators etc. Saw very few staff wearing masks ; the odd person but it seems there is no covid in Aruba! Bring your own hand sanitizer and just know that there doesn’t seem to be any extra precautions being taken regarding Covid.

This hotel was amazing in all aspects. The food was great, the rooms were clean and updated, amenities were awesome. The staff were very helpful at all times. Carlos at the front desk was very friendly and we were given a spectacular room on the 18th floor so that we could stay together with our friends. All the staff at the Restaurants and bars were always extremely courteous. The Assistant General Manager was always around speaking with guests to get their feedback and ensuring guests were well looked after. Food and drinks were always in plenty. The rooms were slso stocked up with all kinds of well known drink brands and even after check out food and drinks were available till we physically left the hotel. Awesome, awesome!!

Just got back from the RIU Antilles and had to share. What an amazing resort. Staff all levels from front desk to cleaning staff are so very friendly and will go out of their way to accommodate if possible. Room was beautiful, we had ocean view junior suite. Asked maid for xtra bath towels and some days we got them, others just the two. There IS ongoing construction and our room faced that way but as the workers there don't start until close to 8am, it was never a concern for us. ALL even numbered rooms face this way, staff did offer to move us but we were already settled so didn’t. Food is fantastic, steakhouse being best and lineups prove that. Restaurant opens at 6:30pm but line ups start at 5:30pm. Entertainment is good, make sure you catch the pirate show!!!! You can go from one show to the other at the RIU palace side. You can also eat over there BUT only in their buffet. 7mins walk to Palm Beach area shopping and it is fantastic, make sure you go in the evening when it’s cooler and it’s all alive with lights. You can walk the main rd area or simply walk towards beach of resort and there’s a paved pathway through all of the neighbouring resorts. Lovely walk. Aruba is crime free so totally safe. Beach is lovely and you can walk for miles. Always a nice breeze so never feels humid but it is very very hot so make sure you take lots of sunscreen. Never need a sweater, very comfortable in the evenings. Beautiful island, very modern on one side and desert like on the other. We took the Aruba island tour $51 for 4-1/2 hrs, booked via SunwIng, Peter our guide was great. We were stressed over recent Sunwing issues and went to airport 4hrs ahead, we were all checked in and through security within half hour!!!! The elite plus was well worth it for xtra leg room and priority line to check in. Your luggage also comes off first. Sunwing were represented well at the resort from 8:30-4:30pm every day. Flight took off on time both ways, all in a fantastic vacation.

Rui Antillas is a very nice Resort. Clean and well maintained. Hotel Staff and Room Service were Great. Food was good, lots of selection for picky People. If you like your food spicy, bring your own hot sauce. Rooms were cleaned daily and in a timely fashion. Beach is clean and staff always ready to get you a chair. We didn’t have any issues getting a chair at any point in the day and didn’t have to get up at 5am to put out a towel. Its windy on the beach at times and you really need to be careful of the Sun as its deceiving you will get a sun burn. There is a great Store in the hotel that sells Aloe Vera Products made in Aruba. Activities were good, the staff does a good job of getting People to participate. Casino is open late for all those who love to gamble their money away. Shopping is close, you can either walk 5 mins to a shopping area filled with restaurants or you can take the local bus for $2.60 into town. There are 2-night clubs within 5 mins of the Hotel which were awesome. Since it was Memorial Day weekend the Soul Beach Festival was on, we went to the Comedy Night with Mike Epps, Concerts with Mary J Blige and New Edition & Bobby Brown. It’s a great time of the year to be in Aruba. There is Construction next door to the resort but honestly it was not an issue at all. The only thing that could have been better was our Sun Wing Rep. She was not very informative nor communicated anything to us. Every vacation I’ve been on with Sun Wing the Rep usually has an information session the next morning, so you are aware of how the Restaurants work, where things are in the Hotel like the Gym or Spa. Information on best Excursions or what’s happening around the Island. How to go about Shopping. She provided no Information we had to find out this information on our own by asking other Guests The Hotel Lobby has an information board which details all the events happening in the hotel it would have been nice to know this instead of finding it a few days before we left. The service provided by Sun Wing Rep was horrible!! Other than that, we had an amazing time and would definitely recommend this Hotel for future travel.

My husband and I have always wanted to go to Aruba and decided to play it safe and go with an all inclusive. I loved everything about this hotel except one thing, the a la cart restaurants. We stuck to the buffets and went out for dinner a couple nights. Please, do yourself a favour and have dinner at a restaurant outside the hotel, so many within walking distance, or grab an electric scooter. You won’t be disappointed. The beach is gorgeous, the hotel was incredible and the bars are great. We had a basic room but it exceeded our expectations, I believe it was recently renovated so much nicer than the pictures I saw when booking. I believe we got lucky that the hotel was not at full capacity so we always had greats spots at the beach and pool area. The entertainment staff was awesome and kept the energy going. My husband and I are in our mid thirties and found the majority of people staying there were 45 plus so don’t go expecting a big party. However, that’s not to say there wasn’t a party vibe, it was more mature but perfect for the type of trip we were looking for. Also, room service sucks, good luck getting food late night. If I had to change one thing, they need more food options for the people who go dancing till 1am lol! Overall, it was a great time and certainly recommend if it’s your first time to Aruba. PS do the side by side tour, so much fun!

Very Satisfied except for last two days there was no hot water. Covid caused extra wait times to travel. Unknown renovations were disappointing and caused the closure of some restaurants Staff all spoke English and were very accommodating.

We loved everything about the Riu Palace Antilles! The construction is nearly done and it did not bother us at all. The beach is beautiful! The man who gives out the chairs was so helpful and always put our chairs exactly where we asked! The restaurants are all good. We decided to try the Buffett at the Palace Aruba next door, my husband likes fish and that night, most of the fish dishes had shellfish in them, which my husband is allergic to. We mentioned it to a young lady working at the carvery and she outdid her self for us! Theresa immediately asked what he would like, and proceeded to prepare a lovely swordfish, with vegetables and sauce just for him! We so appreciated this extra effort and kindness! The Antilles was a little quieter than the Aruba and that was fine for us! We loved everything about our trip and will return!

I have been to several Riu resorts and have enjoyed all of them so picking the Riu Antillas was a no brainer. I feel I should warn people what to expect from this one though. Rooms are in need of a complete renovation. Musty smell in our room, patio door was off/broken rollers. Sink would not drain, patched hole in wall not finished or painted. Had gfi breaker fail in room which they fixed right away. Closet bifold door was broken/worn out so door wouldn’t close properly. Water marks from past leak. I talked to front desk right away and asked if they had a refurbished room, but was told I “didn’t pay for an upgrade ??” but would just change the room for us. Got a call from the manager two days later and asked if I had any complaints which I did. He said he would look into a redone room and get back to me next morning...he never did !! We don’t spend much time in the room but expect it to be a 5 star I would rate it at best a 3 star resort. The Riu that was built from new was next door for families, it was much nicer. I must say this, the staff was friendly and helpful (except above), food was great, pool and beach were also great. Perfect weather with always a nice breeze. It was our second time to Aruba, first to this resort. I will check another resort when we go back next time.

The grounds and entire facility were very clean. The rooms could use an update. The food was great with everything imaginable. The staff were efficient and so warm and friendly. The pool and common areas were lovely, white sand beach, and a nearby plaza within walking distance and easy bussing to downtown for shopping. All very safe. Unfortunately there is not a cappuccino machine near the pool. I left my white hoodie, with writing Niagara 2021, in the room, and called about it and it was not found. It was definitely left in the room. The weather in Aruba is fantastic, sunshine every day. No bugs or bites this trip.

We were in the Villas section of The Riu. Our room was first class all the way. The grounds around our Villa were well maintained lovely pool private to Villa guests only. Nice beach and ocean view from both room and pool area. Staff cleaning our room in the morning were excellent and always friendly. The main Hotel Tower lobby was very nice well kept friendly staff at check in and checkout. Had a chance to see rooms in the main tower and for what people were paying for was far from five star accommodation. The rooms were very dimly lit very old decor and paint on the walls wold have to rate them at best three star. Restaurants okay buffet good variety. Ala Carte restaurants no reservations required meant people were lining up forty five minutes before they opened. We found that in the two we tried the food was just average and not that great so we opted for the buffet. All staff in the restaurants were excellent in the service they provided. The outdoor areas outside of the Villas ,pool bars grounds were well maintained. All in all our stay was five star others I’m sure would rate their stay closer to three star.

the grounds were well kept and nice.Did not like or appreciate the over the top show when the owner showed up nor did others.It was like the king and queen were having dinner and the peasants watched from afar.We participated in the comedy show which was fun,however nightly entertainment was very weak compared to neighbouring resorts.Staff people were very friendly.Did not like being bused from main terminal to another to catch flight.

Our room in the resort was a little run down. We wish we had stayed next door at the Riu Palace Aruba because it is newer. Our bed was not very comfortable. Nonetheless, the food and service was very good so it balanced out in the end.

We are a couple in our 50's and stayed for a week in late February. We had a really good experience. Checking in was really fast and I think it was due to Sunwing and the hotel setting up a separate check in desk for Sunwing people. We had the top floor, partial sea view facing north toward the Palace resort. Below us were the roof air conditioning units and they are noisy so staying outside on the patio for any length of time was something we didn't do much. The room was large and included an in room bar with the fridge re-stocked every day. Bed was comfortable. There's an in room safe as well. Overall the service from the staff is really good. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. Learn a couple of local phrases and they really seem to appreciate that. We tipped a few times during the week but really the service is the same whether you do that or not. There is drink service around the pool but not on the beach. Finding room on the beach is always a challenge everywhere due to the people getting up first thing and reserving spots whether they're using them or not. However we always found a decent spot even though we'd wander down around 8:30am. There's guys on the beach who help you setup your loungers. Food was generally very good to excellent. There are no reservations at the restaurants which meant lineups sometimes. The steak place always fills up so line up around 6pm. It opens at 6:30 and if that seating is full they give out pagers for the later seating and once those are gone it's full. We used the buffet at the Palace as well and it was good but be ready for lots of kids. Booking thru Tripcentral worked worked well and they were great at providing emails with updates, tips and trip details. All in all we had a very good trip!

The resort was awesome from service ... food and service from the hotel staff. We would have a nightly recap... the staff always recommended a drink that we may enjoy. The hotel manager was always approachable and friendly whenever we walked by. Very professional and friendly... Thank you

Hotel was a bit outdated but very clean. We accidentally left our safe open one day and when we returned to the room, Realized it and all our valuables and cash was left untouched. Honest maids. Very friendly atmosphere.

Nice hotel, needs some upgrades, the Aruba palace side nicer, and more newer looking. But both hotels are conviiently c lose to beach.service was slso very good..Aruba very nice island and very happy atmosphere. Happy island.

Riu Palace Antillas Junior superior suite ( villa) location was perfect. I would always want to be on the 3rd top floor to take advantage of the amazing ocean view. The suites were dated but nice. We changed rooms once because the hot tub jets were not working and the shower stall drain was plugged. There were also 4 light bulbs that were burnt out that needed replacing. Once we change rooms the shower stall drain was still plugged in that room. We asked to have that fixed 3 times and they kept saying it would be taken care of but never was. So by the time I finished taking a shower I’d be standing in a good 4 to 5 inches of water. I heard they were going to do some renovating . I would love to go back to the same location after the renos. Grounds were beautiful The buffet was different every night with a great selection of foods. service was also great . Much better than the al la carte restaurants . All in all we had an excellent time and loved Aruba .
