Its a very large complex. The lay out isn't straight forward at all. But.... the food, drink and service were unbelievable. There were some minor hiccups but they work tirelessly to ensure client satisfaction. Beach is flour like sand but rough surf and sargassum

The hotel was beautiful. The grounds were very well kept the rooms were clean. The food was excellent. The people are lovely. We made some friends. It was one of the best holidays we had they sing us goodbye which was really nice, but they have a lot of little special touches that you’ll enjoy best holiday ever

We were at Sandals Barbados but really this resort and Sandals Royal Barbados is 1 big resort. It is a beautiful resort, lots of gardens and flowers. They have a great selection of restaurants, 20 in total. Loved the French restaurant on top of one of the 6 story buildings. It had a great view. Its only 15 min from the airport which is a bonus. We went off resort into Barbados 2x and it is very very safe. The only criticism I have about these 2 Sandals is that it is not in a bay, but rather right on the ocean. When we were there the winds were high, so high that it was red flags in the ocean, and you couldn't really go in safely above your knees. When you laid on the beach you were dealing with sand blowing in your face. Also, while we were there, due to the high winds I suppose, there were absolutely no water activities. the report doesn't even have a pier at it.

It seems as if the resort is woefully understaffed and it shows in their customer service. I know they say no tipping but I don't know where that came from because it is allowed and you may get treated a little nicer if you do. The infinity pool is always packed and the beach had a lot of seaweed for a so called five star. Food was okay. I wouldn't say award winning but ok if you got a reservation. It was more like a 3.5 star dining experience but still okay. Overall and okay time

After a very hectic year, we couldn't wait for a week of relaxation in the sun, and we weren't disappointed. This was our first visit to Barbados and we've been to five other Carribean islands over the years. The island is beautiful, the sandy beaches are clean and soft like flour, the ocean water was warm (but usually too rough to swim in or do any water sports). We weren't expecting the wind to be so strong all week or the water to be so rough, but we still enjoyed morning walks along the beach, splashing along in the warm water. This was our first Sandals but not our first adult-only all inclusive in the Carribean. Sandals Barbados is smaller than most mega-resorts, which we really appreciated, and it was easy to walk everywhere and enjoy all the restaurants and amenities between the Royal and Sandals. The food was excellent in each of the 7 restaurants we dined at. If you want quiet, low key nights, stay at the Sandals, but if you want night life and live stage performances and a more party atmosphere, visit the Royal Barbados. Our room was wonderfully quiet, we had an ocean and beach view, and could hear the surf. Our room was a bit 'tired' but it suited us just fine, we only slept and changed there anyway. Overall we had a fantastic week that was just what we needed....lots of sun, reading, met great people and enjoyed great food.

Overall lovely stay. The service was a bit slow at some restaurants. Our room wasn’t cleaned one day. And we were disappointed that they forgot about our anniversary, on arrival they assured us they would do something special.

This is the second Sandals resort I have been to and have to say that I did have a lovely vacation. However, the service was very hit and miss. Some really excellent staff to some not so excellent staff. Room service is available however expect to wait at least 2 hours. Bartenders mix drinks completely differently from one bar to another or one restaurant to another. Our rooms TV didn't work very well. A la carte restaurants very good, buffets ok. Entertainment also hit and miss. Same three singers each night. Often pool activities didn't happen at all. Again hit and miss.

Great features, great staff mostly, although signs of " quiet quitters" among the younger staff members. Many of the older staff that remain after mass lay-offs due to Covid are very customer oriented but a lot of the younger staff have less fire in their eyes compared to previous visits pre Covid. No Air Canada Vacations rep on site, also no other Airline reps for assistance or dialogue for clients. Of particular irritation is the lack of enforcement of dress code in the restaurants that call for it. WE get dressed up for a nice dinner ( following the rules of the resort ) and then sit next to some slob, wearing a baseball cap sideways or backward, and in swim shorts. Either you have a rule and enforce it or discontinue the rule. WE lost a lot of respect for the Sandals brand this trip, and will probably pay far less to stay at a competitor brand next trip. Small touches like turndown service, pillow chocolates, towel sculpture, shower caps, vanity kits etc absent. This is no longer a 5 star resort in our opinion or our checkbook

We stayed as a group of 16 at Sandals Barbados from Nov 8-15th 2022. The resort has beautiful grounds, rooms, pools, and restaurants and it was a bonus to have access to the Royal side for food, activities and amenities. Restaurant booking was not efficient or easy to do, however we did secure group reservations by the end of our week at most of the restaurants and very much enjoyed. We also enjoyed a morning of snorkelling which is offered complimentary by Sandals- such a lovely experience to snorkel over shipwrecks! Only complaints would be service at the beach and pool bars as it was hit or miss and tree maintenance which was being done through the day at the busiest time on the beach. Maybe this could be done at an alternate time which would be less disturbing to guests. Overall we had a great week on this beautiful island. Would highly recommend!

The hotel and grounds were beautiful. The food was very good. Fifty percent of the staff was very friendly and helpful, the other fifty percent were miserable. Service level was terrible. Room was not cleaned until after 5 pm more than half the time. There is no poolside or beachside drink service and it takes up to 1/2 an hour at the bar to be served during the day. Despite a no tipping policy, it was happening all the time so that those people would receive service over others. Dinner reservations are impossible to get even a week out before 8pm. Compared to other all inclusive resorts the service and availability of restaurants was terrible. Not sold at all on the Sandals hype and will not be doing another one.

This resort was absolutely amazing and impeccably clean. Meals are 5 star. Staff were super friendly. In terms of Covid 19 they are very cautious. Masks are required where you eat and hand sanitization mandatory.

Older bathrooms in guest rooms, not much happening entertainment wise, first morning security rang our doorbell at 6am and barged in screaming security only to say oh sorry wrong room, when I reported the incident to manager they said security would contact me, never did

Just returned from this resort after spending Christmas there. The Merry Monkey English Pub was the best place for service by far. The staff there was amazing. Especially Jack & Joy!!! Beach/sand is beautiful! The water is a beautiful turquoise blue/green. Water was rough every day so we couldn’t snorkel. Cafe de Paris is a great spot for crepes, red velvet cupcakes, homemade ice cream, and lattes. Sushi was fantastic. Butch’s was delicious. We had an oceanfront room which was spacious with sliding doors that opened right on to your spacious patio with a pool and ocean view. It wasn’t what I would call oceanfront. It would be more like an ocean view room, as a huge pool and restaurant separate the building from the ocean. This was disappointing as we feel like we didn’t get what we paid for. The Sky Lounge is a must see. Your pre-departure PCR test with quick test results is part of your all-inclusive package . That was a nice perk. COVID protocols were pretty good. They enforced mask wearing. A lot of the wall-mounted hand sanitizer dispensers were empty, but there were lots bottles of hand sanitizer on the bars. It would have been nice if they had someone enforcing social distancing when lining up for restaurants. The person/s behind you were uncomfortably close at times. We had a great time and absolutely loved the beach. Although it was nice to experience another country, our next Sandals vacation will be Sandals Grenada again.

We had one week at the Sandals in Barbados and enjoyed every moment. The resort grounds and pools were fantastic and clean. We loved the white sand beach on the South Caribbean Sea and the food was exceptional at every restaurant. The staff was attentive and friendly. We appreciated the strict Covid protocols that were in place and felt safe. The resort went beyond by ensuring we had our PCR tests done in good time for our return trip home. Highly recommend!

If you have already been to a Sandals this one keeps up with all the things that Sandals does right. Clean rooms, great staff, amazing food. The resort had a ton of fun things to do and entertainment every night. COVID rules are still in place. Sanitizing hands when entering restaurants and wearing masks is mandatory. Walking outside things are a bit looser, but masks are expected still. Testing to go home is provided by the resort for free which made it so much easier and we didn’t loose half a day doing it. Sandals is our favourite place to stay, always meet our expectations.

We were there on the 1 august until the 8 As for my comments on the resort the personal is very nice ,the room are clean the foods is average not a 5 stars most of the restaurant were closed Du to the COVID they kept it limited Still some construction going on they should tell they’re clientele especially The resort is pricy for what they are offering most of my travelling is in 5 stars Don’t mind paying but I expect more for resort that advertise what they cannot delivered

Sandals Barbados / Royal Sandals was the perfect venue for such a large destination wedding. The choice of a la Carte restaurants, the numerous bars/pools and fantastic staff made the week extremely enjoyable. Only negative was the 2 hours wait at the airport when we arrived.

We enjoyed all aspects of the resort, the room was very clean and comfortable. The Food at all of the restaurants was very good. We especially enjoyed Kimonos and Soy. All of the staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs.

I was pleasantly surprised with the resort. I thought that staying at Sandals Barbados vs Sandals Royale there would be a significant difference, but it was seamless. No difference at all. The room was great, clean with an attentive housekeeping staff. The grounds are beautiful. The one thing that was very annoying was the having to reserve at 5-6 of the better restaurants - and yet, there always seemed to be empty table when you walked by in the evening. So many people would make reservations and not show up. We found this a very frustrating thing considering the cost of the holiday. As a large group (wedding) everything went off superbly.

Overall a great stay. This was our first stay with Sandals and our first visit to Barbados. Immediately we felt comfortable and safe due to the sincerity and friendliness of all locals we encountered from start to finish. We are avid travelers, admittedly a more Boutique Hotel experience is our thing, but the overwhelming majority of the Sandals employees proved that bigger hotels can be made too feel small. With a simple “good morning”, with a warm smile, an extended moment of acknowledgement that, yes you do exist and yes I’m happy you are here with us, all of which is so greatly appreciated. Thanks folks for your hospitality...we’ll be back! To Rodney and guys working the Sky bar.. You rock!!

Amazing restaurants and beautiful grounds. Lots of pools to hang out in. The beach and sand are gorgeous. We had so much fun hanging out with our friends. Butch's is a fan favourite, and I highly recommend the Hibachi restaurant. Service is a little slow so you have to get on island time and go with the flow.

Very clean and staff was very accommodating. Food was excellent. Rooms were very clean. The grounds where kept clean. Very relaxing time. Lots of activities to do right at the resort. Beaches were very clean.

The resort was awesome. We took lots of advantage of the rooftop pool and the food was incredible. Best resort I’ve ever been to, hands down. Staff was also unbelievably friendly - every single person was amazing. I was so impressed with how fun the week was, and how fun the wedding was, that I’m seriously considering doing my wedding as a destination wedding as well.

People are very friendly & out there to please you. Very clean resort Nice pools Nice & clean beaches Catamaran were in good shape & feel safe as the seadoo was ready to help you if needed. food & beverage were excellent

This was our third visit to Sandals Barbados .. food was excellent , service was excellent ... weather was fantastic.. and the grounds were great only positive impressions ... can’t wait to go again

What a beautiful resort overall! Probably one of the nicest places we've been when looking at grounds layout and food. Service was Caribbean-slow and check-in was delayed yet again like our last Sandals experience. Favourite places to eat and hang out were the Paris Cafe for coffee and snacks, Le Parisienne rooftop restaurant for dinner and Soy for fantastic Sushi. It was really nice to have access to everything on the Sandals Royal Barbados side of the resort. The only difference between the two resorts are the rooms....everything else is shared. We enjoyed the pool on the Royal-side with the swim-up bar by the entertainment stage area. The beach was beautiful, but red-flags the whole day due to waves. Everyone raves about the Friday-night Oisten fish event in town, but we found it excessively expensive for what you get. Would go back for sure and highly recommend!

Exceeded our expectations. So much to see and do we may have to visit a second time. We really enjoyed walking through the pathways enjoying the view of the different varieties of flowers especially the Hibiscus. The staff members are friendly. The Ambassador in the Horticultural Department is very knowledgeable. We met a few of the Hotel Managers and they were never too busy to stop by and chat with us.

Hotel grounds, staff, food, weather was unbelievable. I highly recommend Buch's Steak house and seafood restaurant and the Indian restaurant. Great service. It was truly paradise. No complaints at all.

Myself and husband had a fantastic time in Sandals Barbados. Loved all the food especially Bombay and Chi and of course Café de Paris. Highly recommend a tour of the island. Will definitely return!!! Excursions included caves and critters, Carlise Beach, snorkeling with the turtles and all day tour of the island. Just awesome!!

We had a fantastic time! Everything was amazing!!the only downside was the beach. We were disappointed with all the seaweed The service and food was great. The hotel was clean and the entertainment was fantastic. We will certainly return

The resort is beautiful. The food and drinks: perfect. Service was somewhat suspect. We failed to have our room cleaned two different days. The bartenders especially seemed to be so disengaged; none of them were interested in serving you. You pay a lot of money for Sandals, I expect the service to be second to none. This was our third Sandals visit, and most disappointing.

Sandals Barbados was amazing! We absolutely loved everything about the resort. The food, location, beach, pools and rooms were all fantastic. We spent most of our days at the beach and a couple afternoons by the lagoon pool and the “quiet” pool. The main pool is really fun for activities and socializing but the other pools are where it’s at for relaxing! The grounds are pristine and beautiful vegetation all around the resort. Sandals did not disappoint us. We felt spoiled the entire trip! We also checked out the royals side which just opened recently and has a beautiful roof top pool and view of the resorts and ocean. The restaurant up there is also amazing for dinner! I could go on and on but we had a fantastic time and will definitely be going back some day!

This resort has a lot to offer. The grounds are beautiful and well manacured. There are plenty of places to eat with a total of 17 restaurants on both sides of this cojoined Sandals resort property. The variety was outstanding with Butch's, Bombay, French, Italian and the Merry Monkey being our favorites. The rooms were well appointed with beautiful furnishings. Resort was very very clean and always impeccably presented. Overall, it is not an expansive property but has a lot of amenities the size. Everything is close at hand and has quite an intimate feeling to it. The staff are very friendly and attentive to your desires. Samara and Nicole were two of the servers in the restaurants that stood out to us. These ladies made our dining experiences even more enjoyable. The food and service were of high quality in the restaurants. Nikita in the loyalty lounge was a pleasure to deal with. Such a lovely person. Drinks were of high quality however service at the pool bars was slow and not many servers waiting on patrons in this area unless you had butler service. The beach had beautiful white, powdery sand but is not apt for those who like to take long walks on the beach. It is rather short being less than 1km to go from one end to the other. Unfortunatley during our stay there was a lot of seaweed in the water and on the beach which made normal beach activities less desirable. We were told that this was not the norm but was caused by annual events each year in April. Staff were working to clear it up towards the end of our stay but the ocean surf was relentless bringing more and more seaweed/grass in daily. Overall I would recommend this resort.

Everything about this resort is 6 star. The food quality and preparation is outstanding. The people are so accommodating, so pleasant and kind it is for me what really make the difference in any travel experience. The grounds are pristine and so clean. You couldn't find a cigarette but if you tried. You feel safe anytime of day or night and the security is in high visibility making the beach experience so much better as it is a public beach. (All Barbados beaches are public access beaches) The pools are very well kept and you see the staff constantly checking the water quality. There is a space for everyone whether you are looking for s sunny quiet spot by a pool and a more happening place by the infinity pool. Drinks are premium quality with several choices by brand. I don't think there is a bad room in the place and we stayed in the Crystal Lagoon 5th floor, great view and you can feed the sparrows right out of your hand....so cool. If your looking for clam water this might not be the place for you as it was very rough every day with strong winds but I guess that's just the Barbados climate. Lots of seaweed around but really didn't bother me....it is a beach after all:)

We spent a week at this resort April 15-22nd of 2018. We found the staff very accommodating and eager to help with any request asked of them. We dined at what we considered the best food of any resort we’ve ever stayed in. Every meal was well prepared and served with a friendly smiled and complete professionalism. The rooms were very clean and well taken care of by the house keeping staff and the bar fridge well stocked at all times. We even requested a different beer and wine and it was delivered to our room within twenty minutes! The resort itself was well manicured and super clean and cared for. The grounds staff greeted all guests with a big hello and a good morning smile. Traveling with our agent Kim Hartlen was also a big plus as she was on the ready for any concerns we might have had. The beach was great but seaweed decided to roll in but we can’t control that. The rooftop lounge was very cool and the view was spectacular! I would highly recommend this wonderful place and plan on returning someday. Just a note, the local people of Barbados are very welcoming and kind to all of our group. Sandals Barbados, was the best holiday we have ever had! Though it was quite expensive, it was well worth the $. The grounds, the food, the pools THE BEACH! Totally amazing! Room 1512 was the best room in the place, and loved the tranquility tub! Recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing beautiful fun-filled vacation! Thx Jarius from Trip Central

My wife and I and another couple we traveled with stayed here for seven days. We chose to stay at this one and not the Royal because it was significantly cheaper. To our surprise the Royal is right next door so we could use all the amenities of the Royal too. Best of both resorts at our disposal. Nice. Big shout out to double d (darling Derika) at the front lobby. She’s awesome!!! Treated us like gold. The room was fine. Really how much time do you spend in there anyways? However, it was on the border of the two properties. Building 3. Very convenient to access both. The food was terrific at all the restaurants and buffets for that matter. If you go for any meal at the La Parisienne on the Royal side, be prepared to wait. They don’t have their act together yet. If you are a diver or snorkeler, then be prepared for the 30 minute bus ride to the harbour. Go on the orientation tour as there is a lot to cover over the two properties. Beach is nice. It was quite windy during our stay. We got to sail only once. Unfortunate. Had to speak to a manager about a server at La Paris coffee shop. Some more training in customer service was required. Another surprise was a 4 lane 10 pin bowling alley on the Royal. We tried it. It was fun. The butlers monopolized the better pools. We came at 6am to reserve chairs and most were already taken. There should be a limit on what they can take. There was some form of entertainment every night.

The hotel is nice but small the beach was great but the service was terrible pretty much all around . Had to wait everyda at least 10 to 15 minutes just to get a glass of water or coffee in the morning . Swim up bae is vee small and again 10 to 15 minutes to get a drink . I will not go back to this resort ever

The resort was faxed our wedding invitation and acknowledged honeymoon specials we would receive while we were there. Once we got there we confirmed that they knew we were on our honeymoon and they advised there was a note on our room. Each day and night went by and there was zero acknowledgement of this. We did not receive any of the perks they said that we would not even the measly rose petals on our bed. Construction was going on every day at the Sandals Royal Barbados site right next door which is right beside the main pool. All day you could hear drilling and other noises. There was always a 10 minute wait to get a drink at the pool bar The staff only walked around the pool to pick up empty glasses (and this was barely done) but never took drink orders. The staff did not seem interested in serving anyone, they were not overly friendly. Day time activities were sparse. The only thing they consistently did was pool volleyball. They advertised beach volleyball and texas horseshoes but when we went to go take part, it was never going on. The night time entertainment was terrible. The first night they had performers which were okay but the area they set it up in was very compact and crowded. Every other night they had a few people singing the same songs over and over again. One night it took 15 minutes to get through to room service. When we finally got through and ordered our food never showed up. Our Club Sandals advisors always seemed bothered when we attended to make a reservation or look for information. They advised they would help us book an excursion and when we went to do this, all they did was walk us over to Island Tours and left. One person even made a big deal about having to get change for American money that we used to pay the balance on our room, trying to insist that we just pay with a credit card as it would be easier. The food at each of the restaurants was great but at times, you were sat way past your reservation. The servers at the restaurants were professional. When we checked out of the resort, not one employee asked us our trip was. Overall we are extremely disappointed with our trip. Considering we spent four times the amount of money going to a Club Level Sandals 5 star resort than our last trip to Riu Palace in Mexico we would expect two times the quality and service. Unfortunately this was not the case. We would have been better off going back to Riu for our honeymoon as our experience at that resort was impeccable. I would never recommend this resort to anyone and doubt I would ever spend this kind of money again to attend a Sandals Resort.

Many choices for places to eat with great food - mimosa and smoked salmon at breakfast, shrimp and large lobster tails at dinner and the best filet I've ever had! Top notch liquors throughout the resort. Service at Mariners Restaurant was slow and not terribly friendly. Bed was the most comfortable we've had in the Caribbean.

Our first time to Sandals celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary. Weather and ocean are beautiful. Food is excellent ( I have to say its quality vs. quantity) not too many options at the buffet at breakfast and lunch (no buffet at dinner time) but everything that is offered is excellent. Staff very friendly and always greeting guests.

Resort was really nice. Food was excellent. Cleanliness was top notch. Wasn't too happy that when we arrived there was construction under way and our room was on the same side as construction so our view was a building site and noise started from 8am every morning. Staff very pleasant

The food at Sandals, Barbados was very good. The room was okay but not as grand as I expected or was led to believe by the advertising. The noise level was high with an ocean view room which, unfortunately overlooked the pool. My main disappointment was the construction noise! I was not informed at any time prior to booking by Tripcentral that there was ongoing construction. There was constant hammering and drilling all day, for seven days. It was not until I received my itinerary that in small print I read there was construction. By then it was too late to cancel. Had I known prior I would not have booked my vacation at Sandals, Barbados. I think it is very unfair of Tripcentral not to inform me of this ahead of time. Not sure I will book through Tripcentral again.

We have just returned from a one week stay at Sandals Barbados. We were there to get married and I must say that this was a perfect vacation. The resort is only a short 15 minute drive from the airport. Shuttle was clean and driver very professional. We were treated like royalty when we arrived. Check in was very quick and a arrival cocktail was very refreshing. Our luggage was taken to our room and we were pleasantly surprised with how nice our room was when we finally made our way there. King size four poster bed which was quite comfortable. In room fridge with soft drinks and water. Cable TV with lots of channel choices. The food there was amazing to say the least. Lots of options for dining. The only place we needed reservations was at Butch's which is a chop house with perfect steaks. We ate at all but one on the restaurants which was our own doing. Lots of top shelf liquors at all the bars. The staff are amazing they are truly proud of their island and also for working for such a great company. Many of the staff we spoke to were very passionate about their job and making people feeling relaxed and enjoying the resort. We went to the resort to get married and planned a beach wedding. Deidre who was our wedding planner was simply amazing. She looked after everything. Shout out to her as well as Patricia. There are so many people that made our stay so special. Kimberli at the swim up and beach bar. We will never forget your smiles and conversations. Paul at Snapshots who took our wedding photos. You worked magic my friend. Big Paul who provided white glove service to not only us but the other 5 couples who were married on the same day. Akeem and Nicholas at the Calypso bar and Alex from Snapshots and also Shernelle who was a ball of fire. I actually spoke to the Resort Manager Patrick and told him how impressed we were with the staff. All the restaurants we ate at were amazing. Top notch all the way from service to the food and presentation. The grounds were immaculate. They work very hard to keep the resort pristine and it really shows. This was the cleanest and best kept resort we have ever been to. This was our first trip to Sandals and certainly will not be the last. Yes there is construction going on next door for the new Sandals Grand Barbados and it did not bother us at all. Our room was centrally located which made it easy to get to all the services and restaurants. The beach is amazing with powdery sand. The resort has half moon cabanas on the beach which provides shade if you need it. Lots of lounge chairs and the resort was full and there were loungers to spare. Would we return to Sandals Barbados? Yes without a doubt. We were very happy with our choice of resorts. To those considering going, you will not disappointed.

This was our first vacation and we were not disappointed. Highlights were snorkeling with turtles, the perfect beach with palm trees, catamaran, volleyball, Butch's steakhouse. We went snorkeling with the turtles twice as it was free. We paid to go to the caves/animal sanctuary - not worth it at all as they package the boring caves with the animal sanctuary and we missed the 2pm feeding. We would recommend this Sandals and we would go to another Sandals next year for sure based on the quality.

Stayed Dec 2 to Dec 9, 2016 Air Canada flight Two funny moments. First we were told to leave our seats belts on during the flight, just in case! (Never heard that one before) Second, they sprayed pesticides in the plane just before we landed. Very odd, they said it was safe... Arrival Arrival at the airport we were greeted and offered a bottle of water. Then we were picked up by a taxi that was a Mercedes, nice touch, since we were late leaving the airport. Once we arrived at the hotel, a cold towel was brought to us immediately, a song that greeted us to the island and hotel and we checked in. At check in, which was by iPad, we were offered a glass of champagne. We were given a tour of the hotel, it's small so it didn't take long, and then shown to our room. Smoking There are designated smoking areas and no smoking on balconies or a $250 fee will be applied to your room. We were also told not to buy smokes at duty free at Pearson as we would be subject to duty in Barbados. There is a market just outside the hotel you can walk to if you don't want to pay $12USD for Marlboros at the hotel shop. When it rains there is no covered space so just don't smoke. Room There is construction at the hotel either sandals or next door so the view we had was of construction. We booked a honeymoon premium room, the front desk said that doesn't exist and that they upgraded our room.....it was with a view of construction this isn't an upgrade for me. Annette said she would follow up but she never did, very disappointing and she almost seemed to be avoiding us. Room 2401, our room was close to everything as the hotel is small. The room has all the amenities you would want including USB ports for your devices. Unlike the Sandals in Exuma, they do not provide robes, slippers or even the nice pen to make notes with. You can have a robe upon request, but that's it! Room service is non existent. No beach towels in our room upon arrival. Maid service is decent however we had to call for things like tissues, even though it was apparent that the box was empty. Also, you can tell mirrors were not being cleaned daily, as at one point I had to wipe the mirror as it was dusty. Since we were on the 4th floor, when it rained, there is no roof, so we couldn't go outside and there are not too many inside options, like lounges. Noise There was a constant noise at night not sure if it's birds or crickets. It gets very loud and annoying. Since the hotel is so close to the airport, the sound of planes is what you can expect to hear on the beach. At least 8 per day. Also on the beach and in our room, was the constant construction noise, hammering, drilling, banging and not just during the week, weekends too....Since they are still putting up walls, this looks like it will only be done in a year, save your sanity and book a year from now, I certainly would not have booked had I known this was going on. The front desk apologized but said the travel agents should state if there is construction. I do not recall our booking agent letting us know, so here's a warning. Food There are many choices for food and variety. At the beach restaurant you have to get your own drink, at least we were told we did and the food came cold. The second time trying it was better, food was decent and cooked to serve. The restaurants all provide great meals. However, service is very slow, more then once food came cold or undercooked. Service is spotty at some places. At breakfast, my husband asked for ketchup and the server just left before he finished speaking, he was also trying to ask for more water for my tea. There are two restaurants to book, Butch's if you like steak, they cook it wonderfully and we found the best service there. The other is Japanese and they make a huge production out of it which is a fun night out. Beach The beach is public so expect people to come to you offering tours, $200 USD for a couple for 4 hours to tour the island, maybe book before you get here like on Expedia. There are also peddlers for other smoking varieties....not comfortable but if you say no they leave you alone right away. The beach itself in front of sandals is the largest of all the resorts around, wide and spacious. A few other hotels near us had very limited beach space, one was Elegant hotels and I don't know the other. If it's not beach, it's huge rock walls that form the coastline. There are plenty of chairs but you do have people setting up their towels early morning for the covered spots. Towels are available at different spots around the hotel. There is no good snorkelling at the beach unless you head for the rocks just out in front of the beach but not that much to see, a few schools of fish. There is spotty service on the beach for drinks but they also leave coolers out with sodas, water and beer for everyone, by the volleyball court. There are daily activities, volleyball, pool volleyball, billards and other group games, they staff get really into it, makes it fun. Overall, not the greatest impression of a Sandals, just based on the last one we stayed at in Exuma. It has made me reconsider the sandals chain. I'd appreciate not being contacted by sandals barbados as we made our concerns known at the beginning of our trip and since no effort was made to make any reparations while we were there, it would not be helpful at this point. We were on our honeymoon and stayed in one of the more affordable rooms. I was pleased that our room was close to the front of the resort (near the beach) although there is some construction going on still so we couldn't enjoy our ocean view balcony. Still, we had a blast. The guys at the boat rental place were fantastic - gave excellent sailing lessons on their hobiecats. The food was also fantastic (we had so many lobster tails... And the Indian resto is excellent), though I wish Sandals would add more local delicacies (like flying fish!!) You have to go off resort to get the authentic stuff, which is a bit disappointing. That said, I'm splitting hairs here... We had a wonderful time and would go back any day. Barbados in particular is a beautiful country where the locals are very friendly and it is very safe to go out exploring on your own. And sea turtles! And green monkeys! Need I say more?

We booked very last minute with Tom @ Tripcentral. This was a very simple and pain free experience, which is what you always want. He recommended Sandals Barbados, and it was amazing. The food was perfect, not one bad meal. Ocean was so beautiful, bright light blue and very warm, oh and no sea weeds! I know that matters to some people. Our room was ...just ok, but it was one of the cheaper ones. I don't mean it wasn't nice, it was just ok. Room service was great, they left us bottle of sparkling wine with rose petals on our bed; and they always made sure the bar fridge was stocked. The pools are kind of small, but that's not really a big deal to me, who cares about a pool, If you are so close to the ocean. Plus the swim up bar helps! Try the Caribbean Blue if you go. The staff was amazing, so many nice and amazing people work there. At the resort there was a great mix of young and mature people from all over the world. There was a good night life, but also quiet spots as well. We enjoyed both. Also keep in mind there is construction being done next door to them. You can hear it in the room, well the room I/we were in. From 8am to 5pm. Now you cannot hear it from anywhere else, I just noticed it from our room. If I can do anyone a service before you book, make sure you don't wear any camouflage clothing at all. The military are the only ones who can wear clothes like that. All they do is make you change in the airport bathroom, no big deal. Just a little warning. We had a great time at Sandals Barbados, we'd like to thank Trip Central for setting this up, it was a trip of a life time, we will book through them in the future!

Everything here was exceptional including food, pools, staff and room. The club sandals experience made a big difference compared to other we talked to who were not club members. The snorkeling which was included with our package was great with turtle swim and shipwrecks

Honeymoon at Sandals Barbados: Great weather (occ. rain), beautiful clean place, food was phenomenal (but long wait!!), great beach, great staff, lots of UK folks. great concierge service, kind of cold pools!

Amazing all of it from grounds , rooms pools, and restaurants.The staff amazing from the front desk to our maids nothing bad to say about this place kudos to all. I did write a report on this resort and I am telling everyone I know to go there no regrets just sad we did not go earlier.

Rooms where. beautiful ,grounds ,restaurant ,pool ,beach area..didn't matter where we went on the resort the staff from Sandals Bridgetown Barbados where funny , polite, professional and very helpful.

The new Sandals resort is unbelievably awesome, but loses points on the location. The resort food is a one, the restaurant choice is excellent, the staff is great. Unfortunately, the waves are so rough I was unable to swim in the ocean! For this reason I will not be returning unless some work is done on the beach to settle this issue.

First time at a Sandals resort. People were so friendly. Room location could not have been any better. We tried every restaurant and they were all fantastic. I can't wait to try another Sandals resort.

We are Sandals repeat customers and stayed at Sandals in Barbados last December. The resort was just taken over by Sandals a few weeks before we got there and they were putting their Sandals touches on everything. The food was great, the staff were great and the weather was great. I still prefer Sandals Royal Bahamian to Sandals in Barbados but if you have never been to Barbados I would recommend this hotel.
