This was a 2 week trip for my 86 year old parents. They used to snowbird every winter ( first to Mexico then the US) but things changed and haven’t been able to go anywhere for years. Huatulco was on their bucket list and they’ve been longing for the sun, beach and ocean. I selected Dreams because there is elevators and the resort is located very near the beach. No need for carts to drive you to the beach. They came home having had the best 2 weeks ever. To say the staff was caring and attentive is an understatement - my folks felt they were treated like royalty. The food was amazing, the ate dinner at one of the restaurants most night but said the buffet was also excellent. Every need was attended to quickly and with kindness I highly recommend staying at this resort.

We feel very lucky to have stumbled across this resort on the trip central website... We are a family of four and used many of the amenities! but every day we were back on the gorgeous beach at some point, with its perfect sand and nice waves and protection from the small island...super beautiful and relaxing. From beach volleyball to paddleboards to small sailboats, there's something for everyone who wants to play by or on the water! Picklebar courts were discovered too late! The rooms were nice and clean, with excellent cleaning from staff. The beds were pretty comfortable and the bathroom well appointed. The food was a nice mix although the week we were there, there were several banquets so the chance to explore the different restaurants were limited. Highly recommend the coffee bar!

The room we stayed in was a little dated but we had a fantastic view! The beds are very comfortable. The choice of restaurants is very good. We loved Oceana and Seaside Grill. The pools are amazing! The beach is amazing, and the ocean water is clean and warm. We did a spa treatment (hydrotherapy and then a massage). Very nice! As expressed by many reviewers, the staff at this resort are amazing.

Good clean grounds and rooms. Beach is good and clean. Food was great except for Xmas. Check was bad but was for good for others. I will return but unsure when because direct flights. Ala cartes were good except for one.

This was our third time to Dreams, Huatulco and as usual the grounds, rooms, and staff were fantastic. We plan on going again! The Oceania Restaurant was our favorite and we enjoyed breakfast and dinner there most days. Overall, the selection at the buffet was not as good as it has been in past years, but the staff was great. The golf course was not open, it has never been open on our previous trips, as far as I am concerned, it does not exist and will never influence my decision to attend this area. A very special thanks to the Oceania Manager (Guillermo), Oceania Waiter/Comedian (Angel), Lobby Bar Manager (Omar), and a fantastic day server around the pools (Primitiva "Primie"), they made our stay...thank you!

We absolutely loved this resort. After a horrible experience in Puerto Vallarta last year, we were looking for something new and decided to try Huatulco. We could not have been more impressed. The resort is smaller than some of the neighbouring resorts, but everything about it was fantastic. The restaurants were great - the food was varied and tasty - even the pickiest eater would be able to find something that they enjoyed. The staff were phenomenal - every single person we encountered went above and beyond to ensure that our needs were met. The are 6 pools - three of them infinity pools overlooking a beautiful beach. Two of the pools were adults only. The clientele appeared to be a mixture of older couples and young families. We will absolutely go back to this resort again - we loved it.

Dreams is perfectly located near the airport and the local town. The resort is amazing and the food is fantastic. Sometimes only certain restaurants are open but there is always something going on. If you are a planner, use the app to plan and go to all the restaurants. Beach is awesome and there is snorkelling, kayaking, sailing available - great swimming beach. I loved the infinity pools with the spectacular ocean view. Chairs by the pool are easy to find and you do not need to get up early!! Staff are wonderful and pleasant. I would definitely go back.

This was our third time staying at this location, total disappointment. Upon arrival the air conditioning in our room was not working, we submitted a service request and were total within an hour it would work, it didn’t. A second request on the next day, still not working. We requested another room and were told, no other rooms were available. We asked for a fan, none available. Temperature in our room was anywhere from 26 to 27.5. When talking to some of the other guests we were total the resort had this issue for over 3 weeks. Pool chairs were scarce, in previous stays, you could ask and someone would bring out a pool chair. The food was good, not as good as our previous stays. Overall the resort could use some updating

Just returned from dreams Huatulco what a beautiful side of Mexico. Safest place I have ever felt kind people who are proud and the cleanest city I have ever seen. Dreams Huatulco needs updating desperately however the staff and surroundings made up for all that. Spent every day on the beach ocean was so warm I never once used the pools (6) of them which were also gorgeous. Can't wait to return

Good layout, awesome staff, great selection of food options. The app provided by the resort is great for reference. You can find which restaurants are open and any other information you might need ( special events, shows etc)

Everyone was super friendly and the hotel was very clean! There was so many things to do both on site and off site. The food was good. The buffets werent the best, my suggession is to always go to the grill. The Asian and Italian restaurants were superb! Huatulco was an amazing place and we will definitely go again!

This was amazing ! The food was plentiful and tasty. The three infinity pools over looked the ocean. What more can you ask ?? The chair holding was a bit of an issue. Solution was to go to another pool area other than the infinity ones . Rooms were comfortable. Did not spend much time in the room. Area was clean .If you want a restful , quite place ,read a book, or just relax and enjoy the ocean this is a great place . I would recommend to other and would return to this hotel.

I can’t speak highly enough about this resort! Our third visit and each time has been exceptional! The staff were all soooo helpful, friendly and pleasant! Always clean and inviting, the food was always terrific and plentiful! The weather and beach are always spectacular!

The hotel needs some serious updating. Rooms, grounds were not as nice as 4 years ago. Tiles need desperate replacing . The food as we remember 4 years ago was plentiful with a lot of selection. This time not a good selection most times. The food was very bland at the Asian restaurant. Our favourite was the Italian which is where we ate most dinners. The main restaurant we had to wait at the buffet behind glass to be served which took forever, therefore we never attempted to eat there again.

This is our second time at Dreams, 3rd in Huatulco. The resort is very clean, the staff is awesome, and the food is good rooms are spacious and clean. There’s Entertainment every night. We did find however that the resort needs some work as a lot of the floor tiles have lifted in the hallways and the World Cafe, could be tripping hazards to the elderly. The food is good but since Covid the variety has changed a lot. I did like the fact that the food is behind glass now and the servers place it on your plate, a lot less waste and definitely more sanitary. All in all I found the servers were excellent as well as all of the staff. Would definitely go back

We all had a wonderful time. The room was very comfortable and clean, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Golf course nearby was also excellent and convenient. We enjoyed the buffet restaurant the most but also the à la carte restaurants. Steven pools plus a nice beach. Would definitely visit again. Park and Fly voucher was an added bonus.

This is our 4th time to a Dreams resort ( first time here) and 1 Secrets. They all have their own charms and this resort definatley does as well. I think COVID has taken its toll on this one though. This is the first time we dont really think we got value for the money we spent. The resort is really showing its age, Its all the little things, peeling paint in the hall ways, the pools are all missing tiles, There is next to no entertainment on this resort, In the past at every other resort we have been to, there has always been something going on. Not here, is this a direct result of the impacts of Covid? I hope so. The food, IF you went to one of the resturaunts was pretty good, but the breakfasts were , for the most part a dissapointment. Our room had a fantastic view, that is the area though. Huatulco is so beautiful! The beach was certainly differant than those on the Gulf side, but the water is warm, the pools are warm and the drinks are cold!

Service overall was excellent, very friendly and the rooms were clean. COVID adaptations in the restaurants were well executed, although of course nothing beats pre-COVID ability to serve yourself at the buffet but that's no fault of the resort.

The hotel was lovely. Super clean and very adherent to Covid-19 protocols. The beach was very nice. The pools were fantastic as they had 3 infinity edge pools that face the ocean which makes for amazing views. The food was very good, many things made to order. Now to talk about the staff! They were incredible! I can’t say enough great things about the staff! They worked so hard to make our holiday amazing. Our air conditioner went one night, they had it fixed in an hour. The poolside staff worked so hard moving chairs and umbrellas for people to give everyone a spot. The man that was in charge around the pool did a great job of actually removing towels that were just left on chairs. This is the nicest resort we have stayed in yet, probably our 14th all inclusive and this was the best! The town around hotel is really nice and worth a visit to their few restaurants and shops.

The pools over looking the ocean were so functional and beautiful! The chairs were comfortable but a little weathered as were the Umbrellas… that being said, the staff were there to help immediately and the combination of sun and shade and a bar that was close by made for a perfect place to rest and socialize. We enjoyed snorkelling and seeing the beautiful fish (until the jellyfish came to visit) … the restaurants were delicious and we enjoyed paint night and the bands as well as pool aerobics and stretching/yoga classes. Fun fun! Staff were very nice and accommodating… will plan to go back.

Wow! Super excited to be able to travel once again after 2 years. This was our 3rd trip to Huatulco + our 3rd stay at Dreams. As always we had the best time. The weather was super hot as always + the resort amazing. We choose Dreams for the location right on the water, the rooms, the staff, the a la carte restaurants where you don't need a reservation + so much more. We talked at length to some of the management regarding their challenges the last 24 months (like we all have experienced). They had to lay off much of their staff, lost other experienced people + have just started getting busy again the last couple months. With that, the food wasn't as great as it had been pre-covid but we have such compassion + understanding that they too are trying to get back to "normal." For that reason, it will be our place to go again next year!!

We were delighted to once again return to this resort. The staff are so attentive and helpful. Cleanliness and spotless is throughout the resort with staff wearing masks both inside and outside. Unfortunately the menus and calibre of food is definitely missing from our preCOVID visits with a couple of dinners being almost inedible. Portofino is still amazing. Buffets ok but Oceana and sister restaurant have poor dinner menu and food quality is dreadful. The Asian restaurant wasn’t much better. Not sure if we would return although we enjoy the property very much

The resort itself is beautiful. Rooms are decent. It is not worth it to upgrade to the preferred club as there is no benefit to it. There is no preferred space on the beach or pool. We had no private check in/out. We also were not informed of Covid test on site & that it was free for preferred club. We only received corona beer in our fridge a couple days after that it was a cheap beer. Food was meh. We were there for 2 weeks & I basically had hot dog & fries for lunch every day & ribs for supper. There is nothing to do in the evenings. Resort shuts down at 11. There were no seats available around the pool or the beach by 7 in the morning. Staff were friendly.

We loved this resort..Staff very excellent..grounds beautiful..rooms wonderful..food mmm... The only thing is we would not recommend upgrading to Preferred Ocean Front...The whole resort is basically Ocean Front and if you had garden view you are looking at pools and are only few steps from ocean...

We spent the last week of January there with another couple and we also celebrated my husbands 60th birthday. It was perfect. The resort is quiet due to Covid but it was nice to enjoy the place with less people. The layout of the property was excellent, you can see the beach/ocean from just about every where. Even if you have a pool day, it still feels like you’re at the beach. They have paddle boards, single and double kayaks and Hobie Cats that you can just grab and take out, we used all of them. The staff are excellent, too many wonderful people to name but they all go the extra mile to make sure you are well taken care of. The restaurants opened on a rotating basis due to the lower occupancy but we were still able to eat at all of them and our favourite ones twice. We even had a private dinner on the beach, arranged by one of the restaurants, it was cool. The food is excellent everywhere and I’ve never eaten so much in my life. The place is meticulously clean and all the staff wear masks/shields. I felt safer there from Covid than I do at home. Canada requires a Covid PCR test in order for us to return home and Luis the concierge simply arranged it for us right in our room at the total cost of 5000 Pesos and our test results were emailed to us the next evening. Entertainment is quieter due to Covid but there was a live band every night and there was one dancing show. The excursions were fun, we went on the ATV / River trip and chartered a boat for the 4 of us to go snorkeling , all very reasonably priced. I can’t find anything negative to say about Dreams and would Love to visit again. You can take a taxi into town for 60 pesos and there’s lots of shopping available. I felt very safe here. I’ve been to many tropical resorts in many countries and would rate this one as one of my favourites. We LOVED this resort. My one suggestion would be to have a cocktail list as there are so many wonderful drinks to try but I never knew what they were all called.

The resort is very beautiful. It was a short drive from the airport. Very clean resort. Always someone cleaning. The beach was a beautiful sandy beach and the water was warm. Beach felt safe and protected. The staff was very accommodating. The pools were beautiful. Many to choose from. Great poolside service. Pool temperature was perfect. Restaurants were all excellent. I would highly recommend.

The Dreams resort on first blush is lovely, the staff at the resort I can’t say enough good things about they were outstanding and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time! On closer inspection the property is starting to show its age and is in need of painting, repairs to floor titles and toilet seats are needed on all toilets. The rooms were clean but initially musty smelling until aired out. The constant fight for beach chairs and access to palapas or umbrellas is ridiculous either buy more chairs and umbrellas or limit the number of chairs people can lay claim to, I shouldn’t have to get up before 6am each morning while on vacation to ensure we had chairs and shade available either on the beach or by the pools. The food was ok nothing spectacular the best meal we had was at the Italian restaurant one evening but when we decided to go back there for our final supper the menu was the same but the food presentation and quality was completely different and not for the good.

Enjoyed are stay here food was good and lots of variety. A quiet resort with some families but mostly aged over 45. Enjoyed the walks on the beach and kayaking. Did notice people putting out towels on several chairs and not using them but that is just disrespectful on the part of the people not the resort

This hotel, grounds, staff, food and drinks were far superior to any resort we have been to. A definite dream destination that we would return to anytime. We travelled with our 9 year old daughter and felt very safe and she loved everything about it.

Very nice resort. Rooms are clean and well kept. Food is very good. Some of the best we have had in Mexico. Nice beach and pool area. Friendly staff. Only negative is people getting up at 6am to save beach chairs.

All great, except one thing - which we felt important. People were allowed to basically send someone out at 5am to reserve maybe 6 prime chairs (with umbrellas) around the pools, or on the beach. These were then unavailable to anyone else for the entire day. Same people holding the same chairs - every day, all week. The resort needs to fix this, or we will not be back.

POSITIVES: A great location, as it’s right down on the beach, unlike many other hotels in the area which are higher up on hills. Excellent staff, particularly the housecleaning staff, Irlanda in the Mezcalaria bar, and Daniela who is part of the concierge team. The hotel is clean, airy & well kept. Pools, grounds, and restaurants are extremely well maintained. We liked the room, bed, bathroom & spaciousness. The options of a quiet pool that was in a separate area was highly appreciated. Water stations are excellent, and the attention to environmental sustainability is very impressive. NEGATIVES: The food. Not good. It’s not what we have experienced in other resorts of this rating. Bland, dull and not much variety each day in the buffets. Entertainment: No cultural Mexican entertainment whatsoever! We've come for a Mexican experience. A rock band by the pool played LOUD music which caused us to leave the hotel. Nightly shows are a bit dated. Not much variety. This is a party hotel. It’s very noisy at night. There isn’t anywhere to go in the evenings inside the hotel that is quiet. On weekends there are weddings, karaoke in the lobby/bar, and loud bands playing in the lobby bar. No feeling of tranquility here. Note to the Management: There are clients who vacation who want peace & tranquility. Please consider us too!

Although this Dreams property is getting a little dated, it is super clean, the staff works 100%, and are very friendly, efficient and helpful. Drinks were great tasting as well as the food. The best part were the 3 infinity pools overlooking the gorgeous beach!! Water was a clear emerald colour, golden sand and minimal waves. The water activities were great, spa was sublime, and the overall experience was fantastic. We felt safe, and found the location to be perfect. Night entertainment was just ok, but the live bands and dancers were amazing. There was something for everyone and we will definitely return.

Our top priority was the beach and it was perfect. Beautiful for swimming and snorkeling. Unfortunately we had to get up at 6 to get beach chairs. The room was a good size and the bed comfy. Our garden view wasn’t great as it looked at a sandy hill. Our second room overlooked the square so was quite noisy. This room also had no wifi. The food was good at the restaurants and buffet had a pretty good selection. We never had to wait for access to restaurants. The staff were very nice and really make the resort. The resort is kept very very clean. Oddly, many of the tiles have lifted and are in need of repair. We did not appreciate the high pressure sales team. Our vacation was to rest and spend time with family not waste it with sales staff m

Dreams was a beautiful location. As young adults there were not enough activities in the evening although we knew that beforehand. It was everything you imagine in an all inclusive resort. Food was good and plentiful. Beach was great. Eco Tour was fun and exhilarating. Our room was 2201 - we could not access wifi and it was aloud room as it faced the square.

As always the staff and the weather were amazing. Dreams Huatulco is a wonderful place to spend the holidays. Consistently good food ( lots of variety to please everyone in our family) , enough activities to amuse the teens, and good value for money.

First let me say that Dreams Huatulco is one of the most beautiful resorts I’ve ever stayed in! Tangolunda Bay is gorgeous. The resort was beautiful and very very clean thanks to the constant efforts of the cleaning staff! The service in all of the restaurants was remarkable! Pleasant and very helpful!! The servers were amazing…… Fast and happy despite the brutal heat, it didn’t matter where you picked to sit, there was always someone to make sure you had all you needed. I need to mention Primi, she was incredibly good at her job while still being happy and efficient. All in all I was so impressed with all of the staff and there are hundreds ( at least it seemed that way lol)

This resort was very clean, the help was amazing friendly, we couldnt ask for better weather. the food preperation was amazing, liked the idea of how many pools there were and at liest one totaly adult pool.entertainment at the lobby bar was good and lots of different kind of drinks, the washrooms on the resort were clean and working condition and the rooms were very clean. This resort is deffently a return one. LOVE MEXICO.

We have been to this resort 4 years in a row. The people that work there are polite, hard workers and very friendly. We have made many friends in the past 4 years going to this resort and there are a lot of return guests every year which is nice to see. This is a very clean resort, exceptional food and service and the view of the ocean and the weather can't be beat. It rarely rains in Huatulco which is one of the reasons we keep going back besides the exceptional service at Dreams. I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.

Very friendly staff, beautiful scenery, fun ocean water (waves can get big /strong). The food was also good all around and we enjoyed every restaurant. They clearly aim to please and succeed! The location was also great, with lots of fun things to do close by such as surfing or visiting the town

The resort is dated and needs some serious cosmetic work such as fixing the loose tiles in the hall way floors, peeling plaster, mold smell in my room, the beds are hard and you are given bricks for pillows, old sandpaper towels, paint the resort walls and ceilings, The staff was wonderful but the time share people are a pain in the ass and ruin the vacation with constant nagging to sit in a 90 minute session. The bar tenders were very inconsistent with the mixed drinks. More variety and change of food choices would be nice. All in all I would not recommend this resort.

The hotel was nice but had a few big drawbacks. There was only one tennis court and it shared the same space as basketball court. I was only open from 7 - 10 am bc it was located above the spa. This was very limiting for our family of 5. We would like to play tennis st same time as boys played basketball ( not possible) plus you needed to reserve the court the night before and often it was already booked. I definitely would warn people of this very frustrating facility limitation. Also the restaurants were often closed ( only 3 choices and 1 being the buffet). Finally there is no swim up bar which was very disappointing. Great location though - awesome beach and nice big pools located right near beach which was a big plus.

This stay was our second consecutive year visiting Huatulco. Trying out Dreams resort was a good choice. Beautiful grounds, no wristbands, no towel cards, unlimited à la cart restaurant visits without reservations. Dreams is an older resort that the rooms have been updated. They enforce a 30 minute rule of leaving your lounger unattended (retrieve your stuff at guest services) Go see Rayna at the lobby bar, she is a great server. The weather is always Hot, Hot, Hot. My wife used the free rental of paddle boards (she wishes they were available earlier when the ocean is calmer).

Awesome resort with fantastic service! The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The rooms could use an update with more cupboard space and better pillows. The beach was beautiful and great for swimming. Loved all the amazing pools. Could use a few more treadmills in the gym. The best restaurants were the Italian and Asian. Overall very recommendable!

Service very good ,overall clean place ,found food not as good as in past years ,fishing was very good by hiring local fisherman off of beach .Weather is always the same getting sunshine and warm days ,nice warm breeze off of ocean makes days very easy to sit under palapas with cold drinks.

This is my second time in Huatulco and my group and I decided to try Dreams as we saw the grounds had more pools and restaurants than our previous stay at Barcelo. Dreams was definitely a DREAM. Our group had our rooms close to each other and oceanviews! The rooms were large and clean. The 3 infinity pools facing the ocean was fantastic, clean made our trip. The service by the pool were a bit slow but all servers were friendly and did their best with the large groups. The food was good and our favourite spots were the buffet, Mexican and Italian restaurants. I also enjoyed the lobby entertainment which kept the nights lively past 9:30pm!

Great resort. Safe clean with good food. Everything is fairly close so there is not a lot of walking like in new resorts. Beach is great for everyone. Staff great. Safe to go into local town by cab as well. Would definitely go back. If you are young and looking for night life this place is not for you.

The resort is in a great location. The weather was perfect every day. The pools are great and the beach is steps away from the pool deck. The ocean was warm and there are lots of water sports available. The resort is clean and the service is great! The restaurants for dinner are very good. Breakfast is also good, but the buffet lunches are not quite up to 5* material. It was pretty much the same thing every day. The ATV excursion was fun! We travelled over New Years. The New Years food, was TOP NOTCH!! along with entertainment and fireworks. Its a safe area to visit.

The Dreams resort is well situated in a clean beach. It has many pools and offered many different activities. The staff were for the most part, very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean, the restaurants offered many varied menus with delicious items. Our family had a great time here.

Everything was immaculate. Staff amazing! Service was incredible. Beautiful beach with easy access. Snorkeling for all levels. Restaurants were great and loved that no reservations were necessary. Safe safe safe. Short ride to town...

"Clean" is a big deal to us when we travel, and this resort met all of our expectations. Our room was spotless everyday when we returned. The grounds are impeccable, and the public restrooms were always clean, and staffed with cleaning personnel. We enjoyed the quality and selection of the food...the Italian restaurant was terrific the night we were there. The area in general and the town were comfortable and relaxing. We would definitely go again,

Wasn't very lucky with my holiday as I was sick for the 1st 4 days.....Staff are accomodating and very friendly.. However none of my special requests were honoured eg...being close to pool and ocean...the only complaint I have is that went we for naps at 3PM and the rooms were never done before 3 and 1 day was missed altogether

Recently returned form the Dreams Huatulco resort after a week of total relaxation. Found the resort to be very clean with great staff. Knowing ahead of time the beach situation with regards to the undertow and extra caution when swimming we were very comfortable around the pool areas and beach days were relaxing listening to the waves crashing. Comfortable and clean rooms however the resort is showing its age. Food options were good and though we never went hungry the choices were not outstanding compared to our visit last year at the neighboring Barcelo Huatulco. We did find we were often rushed through our dining experiences even when the Al a cartes were not busy. It was as if once you've ordered everything arrived one course after another with little time to spare in between. All in all a good resort, the price was a little higher than we've paid for those I'd rank higher, but we were not disappointed.

This is my 3rd time to Huatulco. This is the first time I travelled without my spouse. This is an extremely safe area of Mexico. The people are genuinely friendly and kind. We had a wonderful time even taking a taxi into town and wandering on our own. The dreams resort is well layer out with 2 adult only pools.

We had a fantastic time. The resort was great and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. The beach is clean and great for swimming. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend this resort and location.

The Resort had a great layout. It was very clean and bright. The cleaning staff was at it day and night. Rooms were very clean and serviced twice a day. Clean towels and every thing else. Grounds and beach area well laid out. Lots of swimming pools and beach area. Great buffets and restaurants with great quality food. Great service throughout the resort. This will be our next vacation spot.

The hotel is very nice. It is very clean and well staffed. The food is very good and lots of choices. Great service on the beach and pool areas. The room are lovely and very clean. Also room service is great and lots of choices 24 hours a day.

The hotel and grounds were kept very nice. The beach and drink service on the beach were fantastic. No having to book restaurants or having to wear wrist bands was also a plus. Only down falls for us where ; we had booked a king size bed and got to doubles. Also the deck off the lobby was under renovation, which would have been a great place at night. Deck was opening same day we were checking out.

Great resort, fabulous amenities, excellent customer service, superb location. Older demographic, nice and quiet and relaxing! I would not recommend this resort to a younger crowd. A lot of pools to choose from but hard to get a chair beyond 7am.

The hotel is a short 20 minute ride from the airport. It is clean, comfortable and well run with friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and kept clean by their courteous staff. Food is excellent starting with the ocean side buffet. The 5 specialty restaurants do not require reservations...first come, first served. There are 6 pools situated around the property. The ocean is just steps away from the large infinity pool. The property has many shady spots for those wishing to escape the sun. Every day was sunny and hot. The only complaint was that the hotel does not adhere to requests made during the initial reservation process. Requested highest floor with partial ocean view (paid upgrade), received second floor, ocean mostly obscured. Requested king size bed, received two double beds. Requested banner on door acknowledging return guest, not provided, despite many such banners being displayed on room doors. Hotel claims the request was never received.

Beautiful beach, good food, clean facilities, and excellent service. Weather was fabulous every day. Super quiet resort that's good for older adults and families. Would be boring for party crowd. The staff are super accommodating. Only complaint was lack of shaded chairs at pool and beach. Too hot for full sun and we love heat. People were getting up at 6 am to save chairs and then never show up. We really enjoyed our vacay and wished we were there longer.

It's a beautiful resort with great food. We especially enjoyed the room service for breakfast. The first night our room was noisey being close to a bar. Once we let them know that sleep was a priority to us, they moved us to a very quiet end of the resort. The staff was helpful and seemed genuinely wanting to please and not expecting tips but much appreciated. We loved our ocean swims with fairly good snorkeling right from the resort. The beds were compfy with nice linens. However, I prefer my bed to be just a little softer, so they made our beds daily with stacked blankets under the fitted sheet which made it much better. The restaurants had great food but my husband had to wear a collard shirt and closed toe shoes at the Italian one. We rarely ate the large buffet and mostly had lunch at the Seaside grill buffet which had a smaller selection but more than plenty to choose from in the open air by the ocean. There wasn't guacamole at the buffet but you could order it freshly made. The cafe had really good coffee, espresso drinks, smoothies and pastries. And I'm the kind of person who likes Stumptown coffee. We love Huatulco for it's consistent nice weather and direct flights from Calgary.

The Dreams Huatulco resort was beautiful! Rooms, restaurants, public washrooms and grounds were extremely clean and well cared for. Restaurant and room cleaning staff were amazing, friendly, helpful and aways smiling. The food in both the buffets and al a cart restaurants was a little dissapointing, however typical for a Mexican all inclusive resort. The beach has a steep slope to and from the pools and is some what hard to climb, not great for anyone with mobility issues. The sand on the beach is also very course and not packed for easy walking (a function of nature not the resorts fault) and you can only walk about 1/2 mile until the beach ends, so not a resort for those who like long walks on the beach. We had an enjoyable and relaxing time at the resort, however would not rush back.

This resort has lovely, manicured grounds and constantly being groomed and cleaned. Our room was great and us being Preferred status allowed us to use lounge, well stocked with food and drinks. Resort staff were friendly and very accommodating and went over and above to get anything we wanted. Several pools and towels were available at any time. No wristbands used. Only complaint was with food as buffet pretty much same every day. Specialty restaurants were nice but not outstanding food - only ok.

This is my second time to Dreams Resort, Huatulco and I wouldn't hesitate to return. This is a beautiful hotel, very clean and the service is great. I've been to all the al a carte restaurants and the food is awesome. I love the fact that you don't have to wear a wrist band all week and you don't need reservations for the al a carte restaurants. All the pools are kept very clean and we enjoyed the water aerobics. We also did a little bike tour and learned about the outlying hotels and their history. We chartered a private boat (through Jesus on the beach) for the 7 bay tour. He was very respectful and a lot of fun. I highly recommend this resort.

We spent one week in this paradise. Grounds were lovely and manicured, someone was maintaining the grounds daily. The outdoor beach/pool area was constantly being cleaned by staff. Hotel room was clean, beds were comfortable, good sized rooms. Food at both the buffet and restaurants was top notch. We especially enjoyed the Asian restaurant. Beach craft (kayaks, paddle boards) were in good shape and felt safe. We also took advantage of the bikes. I would suggest that they buy a wrench so that they can adjust seat heights on bikes, but other than that, it was a fun, free excursion. Staff could not be more friendly, helpful, pleasant. And the weather was everything we had hoped for...constant sunshine, about 25 degrees consistently during the day. The day entertainment group was fun but not overbearing. I appreciated the fact that even though this is a family oriented hotel, there were 2 adult pools, one very quiet and one that was more lively.

This will be my first time reviewing a vacation and I hope to give my honest impression of my trip. We were travelling in a group of 4 adults and had initially intended on staying at Secrets Huatulco. As I had booked the trip less than 2 weeks out I found that the Secrets was not available but Dreams was and opted for that resort. The resort was located approximately 20 minutes from the airport and the process from landing to arriving at the resort took 1 hour. I will say that this was our 4th trip to Mexico within the last year so comparing it to other resorts was still fresh in my mind. HOTEL Well maintained and very clean with workers constantly working to ensure things were kept that way. The grounds were manicured nicely and the layout of the resort was easy to navigate. There were 2 infinity pools( 1 adult, 1 family) overlooking the beach and bay of which the view was beautiful. There were also 3 other pools located throughout the resort. ROOMS Clean and spacious with no issues to speak about. Our bathroom had a large stand up shower with rainfall showerhead. I found the bed very comfortable and the bar and room was replenished daily. Of note make sure that the balcony sliding door is fully closed or the AC will shut off. FOOD I found the food to be OK to good depending on which meal I was eating. Breakfast was standard fare ,omelet's ,eggs various meats and the such which I had no problems. We typically ate lunch at the Seaside buffet which overlooked the beach and Bay. The food was fresh and tasty typically with various seafood, chicken, meats, salads ,soups etc. Dinner options were rotating a la carte restaurants being open on different nights as well as the nightly buffet. You could find which restaurants were available that day by reading the TV screens located throughout the resorts at various points. I ate at the Italian restaurant twice and found that to be a pleasing experience with excellent food. The dinner buffet I found to be OK with nothing fancy but more than enough to enjoy. I would say that overall the food experience was good but not exceptional. SERVICE This stood out at this resort. Having stayed previously at 3 other 4.5 to 5 star resorts in Mexico this year, the pool and beach service exceeded the other experiences. Whether sitting on the beach or by the pool servers worked tirelessly to ensure you always had what you required. It seemed that at least every 15 minutes someone was there asking what you needed no matter where you were located. Every server was excellent but forgive me as I cant recollect everyone's name. Erik, Miguel, Iselda (I think) were a few who made this experience memorable. The beach was beautiful with warm and reasonably calm waters excellent for swimming and enjoying paddleboards, kayaks ,etc. which were free of charge. I also enjoyed being able to walk to excellent nearby restaurants to eat and watch football. Trip to town was 43 pesos in cab and I enjoyed being able to walk around and eat ,drink and listen to music in a safe smaller town setting. Having been to Cozumel. Puerto Vallarta, Cancun and the Mayan I think for me this is one of the nicest areas in Mexico and will definitely be back. I would highly recommend Dreams ( and especially Huatulco) to anyone thinking of travelling to Mexico.

Resort was very clean and the staff were friendly and very accommodating. This was my first stay and would love to go back again soon. Enjoyed every minute of our trip. Easy commute to locations outside the resort.

Excellent seafood, decent vines, clean area. Friendly people servicing my needs. The best part is the climate, you can trust (considering the time of season). Warm and clean water, Unfortunately very strong undercurrent to enjoy a safe swimming. Not far away from the airport.

My family of 4 just returned from Dreams resort in Huatulco. Weather was perfect, sunny and 30 everyday. The resort was great, loved the fact of no wristband and no reservations needed at the a la carte restaurants. Food was very good, accommodated gluten free allergy well. The concierge will provide a note to give to restaurant for ease of communication. Restaurants were well maintained and clean. My 14yr old was happy to take his basketball to use on the courts, basketball hoops without nets was disappointing for him. It is a minor thing but is something could be easily fixed by the hotel. Exercise room was well equipped and clean. Massage and hydrotherapy at Spa was fabulous. Missing Ping pong paddles and balls during the week were frustrating for my kids - this also seems like an easy and inexpensive fix to have extras on hand. Drink service on beach and around pools made up for the placement of bars at either end of resort. The coffee bar was amazing serving not only coffee but smoothies with lots of yummy desserts. Strong recommendation to take Pesos instead of US dollars. We have traveled to many places and found some of the staff not overly friendly to English speaking guests at this resort. Saw manarays right on beach in front of hotel which was exciting. Highly recommend boat/snorkle tour - saw dolphins, sea turtles and humpback whales which was definitely the highlight of our trip! Also took taxi to Copalita ruins and hired a guide which was an interesting experience. Only a 15 min cab ride from the hotel.

Arriving at the resort was a little stressful. Sunwing bus driver unloaded our luggage at the Barcelona resort. My finance had to walk back to get our bags. Keep a close eye on your luggage. The registration/check in at the Dreams was more work than it had to be. There is only 3 small desk as the front desk with just 3 clerks. But registration was actually around the corner at a long table with 2 clerks. This location was hidden from plain view so made procedure confusing. Then i had to go back to the "3 desks"/front desk and stand in line to get word that room wasn't ready and was told to come back later for our keys. All this seemed so unprofessional for a resort chain with such high standards. Once we got into our room it was lovely, and clean. We were situated in a wing that had not yet been renovation on the outside. ...cracked stucco. Didn't look of Dreams standards, but the rest was wonderful. Rooms, beach, and restaurants are all very clean, with friendly service. A la cartes were very good. Service, food presentation and food quality was of very high standards. The main buffet, World Cafe, was smaller than I expected and very loud and busy so we had every breakfast amd lunch at the Seaside cafe over looking the ocean. It was less busy and had no line up for the omlette station. Need a really good late night burger? Visit Seaside Cafe before 1030 pm. If it's closed order through room service. Fries are crispy! There isn't enough palapas on the beach so everyone goes down at 630-730 am to put their towels on the loungers. We read that the pool attendant take them off aftr 30 mins but they don't. People still leave towels but don't show up for hours. If you have trouble finding chairs ask an attendant and they are more than happy to pull towels or move chairs for you. All good! The resort is generally very quiet. We didn't see or hear the entertainment team hardly at all. Good and bad. We did like the lobby lounge entertainment every night. We also left the resort to visit the local bar across the street to watch an Oilers game. Overall we loved the location, hotel and beach! And will return. Hopefully the few deficiencies will be rectified.

We are 60 years old who have travelled to most of the Caribbean islands and several Central American countries, usually staying in 4 / 5 star all-inclusive resorts. We prefer smaller type resorts with a chance to visit the local area. We have been to this area once before and found the local people basically, polite, friendly and comfortable to be around whether at the resort or in town which is why we went back to the Huatulco area. This one week trip we chose the Dreams Resort based on competitive pricing we received through TripCentral and very good reviews being reported on Tripadvisor. We found the Dreams Huatulco resort to be one of the better experiences overall we have had at an all-inclusive resort. The meals and drinks were better than we have seen with good selections and no, to little waiting for seating in the restaurant’s or buffet. The resort, grounds and beach were very clean, plenty of seating and as always no matter where we go the early bird gets the best seats but I don’t think there are any bad seats at the Dreams Huatulco. The rooms were comfortable, clean and serviced twice a day which we found a little much, once a day is sufficient for the amount of time we spent in them. If you are people who like to sit by the pool, this resort offers what looked like to us two infinity pool for adults, a family pool and I’m going to call it a shady senior pool with lots of sunny or shady seating around them. With the resort being on the Pacific we found the waves not to be that strong with an optional place for easy access into the water where there was good snorkeling. There were many more items that impressed us with the Dreams Resort but overall the above are the basics we usually look for when choosing a place and a resort to go to. Based on our stay and talking to the many other people we met who were having the same experience as us at the resort we would have no problems recommending this resort and look forward to our return or checking out the other Dreams Resort locations. We have travelled​ extensively through the Caribbean over many years and we this resort is the cleanest we have ever seen along with excellent service and great food. Highly recommend especially for beach lovers.

Beautiful resort 25 minutes from the airport. Safe, clean and loads of fun. Loved the 24 hour cafe which served all types of coffee, smoothies, teas and pastries. Food was plentiful including a wide variety of drinks. Service was excellent and we received an upgraded room upon arrival. Enjoyed the infinity pools and also spent time relaxing at the adult only pool.

This resort has it all: great beach, pools, rooms,staff and weather. The food is good with no dinning reservations required. Lots of A la carte dining. Not all restaurants were open every day and some of the English translation of the menus was poor, particularly in El Patio. We liked the Asian and Sea Side Grill the best. The buffet was great for breakfast and lunch. Good snorkelling right off the beach. Surf was yellow flag all week. If you use other than pesos or credit card in the shops you need to show a passport which I thought strange. Something about money laundering. We were here in 2010 and as a result our room was upgraded.

From the moment we entered the resort our holiday was destined to be the "best one ever"! Our flight was 3 hours late from Victoria, BC and when we arrived in the evening we were greeted with a welcoming beverage and check-in was quick and efficient. We had a great dinner at the World Café, then explored the resort.. The rooms were so beautiful with our room attendants, Alma and Brenda, making sure everything was perfect; from the different flower petal design on our bed everyday to ensuring we had clean linens, lots of sunscreen and lotion.... I loved the pool volleyball, water aerobics, morning yoga and wild "Zumba"! I'm a swimmer, so the infinity pools so close to the ocean were absolutely a dream come true.....imagine swimming your lengths while watching the sun rise and listening to the ocean breaking on the sand...pinch me....I must be dreaming:) We had the best of both worlds at Dreams; pool for those who don't care for swimming in the salt water and the ocean for those that do... Lots of loungers to spend the lazy days; either on the beach or at the pool. Our weather was clear skies everyday except the last day which was cloudy; still warm though A special thankyou to Misael Boutista Lopez, our beach server, who looked after us so well we named a new drink....."Misael Sunset" after him.....Tequila shot, orange slice and lime slice squeezed in a highball glass The Rendevous Lounge is where our server Edie Acxel Martinez Cruz looked after us so well. Thankyou Edie:) Dreams is definitely one of the best resorts I have ever been to.

This was s lovely resort , very clean , wonderful friendly staff I would recommend this resort to anyone, the only suggestion would be to stop people going down st 5 in the morning and putting towels on the lounges, and then coming back hours later . Or perhaps the resort should follow secrets example and out more shade spots on the beach or arround the pools

This hotel is the perfect size. Not so large that everything is so far away. The restaurants are really good and as a bonus you don't have to reserve. The beach is really nice as well as all of the infinity pools at the resort. Just beautiful. The rooms are a nice size and kept very clean along with turndown service. What I particularly loved is that you can eat breakfast at a lovely restaurant outside overlooking the beach and also eat dinner under the stars! With the weather there always being perfect you truly want to eat outside and not stuck inside a restaurant like at some resorts. This resort has become our favourite! Why go somewhere else when this one is so good! The people are so friendly and the whole area feels very safe. No question, I would recommend this place to everyone but would also like to keep it a secret so it can stay just the way it is!!

Recently had a one week vacation at Dreams Huatulco with our daughter and two grandchildren aged 6 and 8. It was absolutely fabulous...especially the staff. They were so wonderful with the kids...and there were always activities going on for them to enjoy. Dancing, car races, swimming, Explorers' Club - the kids enjoyed it all, which made it easy for the adults to enjoy it all! Very clean resort, reasonable food, fabulous service, wonderful hot weather...it was a great week for everyone!

Everything was you notch food Beach. Room and staff excellent pools. Japanese restaurant food was amazing the spa and massage therapist s were very good and professional.. night shows and mariachi band. We're awesome. Bar staff very friendly. All round perfect relaxing resort

The weather at Huatulco is awesome. Didn't appreciate the Unlimited Club people selling their membership. Wasn't a great way to start a relaxing trip. The food was good, but not great. The service was good not great with the exception of a few servers. Great selection of drinks. The resort was well looked after. Very clean resort. The rooms were good and clean. The preferred club option is a cash grab. No extra services provided for the extra money. The beach chair saving game was pretty bad during our trip. Overall I would rate the resort as good.

The hotel staff were very welcoming from the moment we stepped out of the van, bringing cool towels and cool refreshing drinks. We were checked in immediately and waited about 1 hour for our room. We explored while waiting. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Grounds were very well looked after and you could always see someone cleaning. The rooms were welcoming and spotless, they were cleaned each day, plus a tidy up in the evening. There was wait service at the beach and pools. The liquor was top shelf including the beer. Weather perfect, great vacation to relax.

The resort was in great shape, clean and small enough to enjoy, and the food in the restaurants are good. Waiter service on the beach was good but enough bars that you rarely waited for a drink. Beach was clean a great for snorkeling or just a nice walk. Shops across the street for the resort if you wanted to do a bit of shopping there or a 5 minute ride into town for a nice outing.

The hotel was very clean and the service was impeccable. Our rooms we're cleaned twice a day which we have never experienced. The spa was fabulous very relaxing and super clean. The grounds were kept almost perfect each day. The food was very good big buffet and you had restaurants to choose from too!

The resort was beautiful. Staff was all very friendly. The beach had great sand. A lot of excursions available. Beautiful place for a wedding. Close to town. Great bar just across the street. The entertainment was great to watch.

This was our first time at this resort and won't be our last, the resort is spotless and the staff are all very friendly. The food was great we mostly ate at the buffet and there was lots of choices, there is 6 pools 2 adult only which were very quiet and 3 regular pools and 1 kids pool all were excellent. The beach was beautiful and is where we spent the entire trip. The kids loved it you can swim with the fish and the waves were fun to play in. The beach staff was very good if you needed a chair they would get one for you.the room was always cleaned daily and turn down service every day. Your fridge is filled every day with what ever you want. Very little bugs only a few wasps when you have a sweet drink, but tolerable.very happy.

This trip was by far my best experience to date. The hotel is meticulously maintained and the staff are continuously cleaning or the gardeners and beach staff making sure everything is up to the highest of standards. I am very impressed this resort is very involved in ensuring they are doing their part for the environment, recycling plastics, their food waste along with preserving their wildlife with having natural landscapes left for them. There are 5 beautiful pools to choose from. If you are with little ones, there is a segregated area for families and if you prefer quiet, there is another pool for adults only. The beach and ocean front are simply beautiful and you can not go wrong with the weather being guaranteed to be super warm for 351 days out of the year apparently. The food selection is really good and you do not have to reserve a la carte restaurants and can go as often as you like. One note, the Oceania seafood restaurant is sub-par and truly isn't a seafood place as they even have steak on their menu. General buffet restaurant, Italian and Japanese are really good. If you get a chance to enjoy a Spanish coffee, it will be the best you have ever had. They also have a dedicated little coffee shop called Café Coco which has treats and basically a Williams or Starbucks making fresh drinks for you to your liking. The rooms are quite modern and tidy, even the beds were comfortable. The service at this resort is incredible and they will go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. The nightlife in the Rendezvous bar area has entertainment every evening however; they should consider making more seating in a quieter area if people simply want to chat or play cards because the music did over power the entire area. The theatre also had nightly entertainment but was small and their volume for showcasing dancers could be turned down a notch. The one downfall of this place, is that you do have quite a few vendors approach you while on the beach trying to sell you anything from jewellery to blankets or hand-made crafts. It would be nice to have this policed more but if you tell them nicely "no gracious", they are not pushy. If you want to buy things I would recommend getting things from them and bring things like candies, t-shirts, flip-flops, hats to barter with and you will score a super deal! Overall, very friendly people, and the hotel establishment was very safe and enjoyable.

Generally hotel was good clean and staff are excelent. Generally no waiting for drinks etc Only issue was quality of food, not very good! Overall weather is great, the people are very friendly. Flight with air canada nothing to talk about at least they didnt lose our luggaga

This was our second time staying at the Dreams Huatulco. Love everything about this resort. The weather is a guarantee. It was 30-35 everyday that we were there. We were treated very well by the Dreams staff. The room was spotless and cleaned up for us in the morning. Always had a new shampoo and shower gel, as well as a sunscreen. Never had to call down to get towels or refill the bar fridge. Also, no towel cards and no need to make reservations at the a la carte restaurants. Beach was beautiful and the pools were fantastic. love this place. will be checking out the Secrets Huatulco as well.

Just came from Dreams Huatulco 2 days ago and already want to go back. The service was amazing, rooms very clean (maid service twice a day) and comfortable, the staff and local people are very friendly and welcoming. All in all, it was a problem-free vacation from start to finish. We had a very relaxing trip.

Our group of 11 had our second trip to the Dreams Huatulco, Mexico. It was a beautiful week. The resort staff, the service, food, cleanliness, and the atmosphere was amazing. A special shout out to our favourite pool side waitress Primi!! The resort was filled to capacity and yes, there were a few little glitches because of this, but nothing that would change our feelings about this great place. We are planning to return again next March

The resort was very clean and service was excellent. Food selection and quality, especially in the evening was very poor. There was suppose to be five alacarte restaurants however only two or three were open each evening. Three out of our party of four experienced food poisoning. The evening buffet was the worst and at times we were unable to make a sandwich due to the limited food items available.

The staff was Amazing, food was excellent, rooms were great and I would definitely go back!! Everything was great and it was close to the airport which is a bonus too! Town felt safe too! Go here for a great relaxing time!

We had requested 4 rooms (3 with King beds). When we arrived, we received only one room with a King bed. But we decided against asking for a change as our rooms were all close together and close to the pool. I don't think the resort was full and we had no issues with getting chairs by the pool and only one evening were not able to be seated 8 together at dinner. I liked the fact that the staff is friendly and efficient but very "hands off". We were not harassed to have photos taken, to purchase anything, to play games, etc. The resort was super clean and the bed comfortable and air conditioning great. The mini bar was stacked daily. I liked the size of the resort - young and old can be comfortable there. There isn't much of a beach for walking (which we knew) and town is a $5 US trip - not a nice walk - about 5k highway. The food was okay. I personally found it generally very salty and the usual watered down, sugary drinks. But there was lots of variety and everyone could be content. Perhaps because the resort wasn't full, the buffet wasn't turned over often and I found the food on it to be consistently cold. Not much to be done about that I guess. All in all, a very pleasant place to hang out for a week. The teenagers with us took advantage of the kayaking and bicycle tour.

The service food and accommodations are very superior. The employees went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Everything was so clean. Drinks and food were very good and lots of choices everyday.

Beautiful, very clean, upper class resort. Food was top notch with plenty of variety. Staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The only complaint is guests who would save chairs by the pool or beach and then NEVER use them.

Arrived at hotel with no problem,had to change room because we had booked a king bed. Staff made the effort. We had booked an ocean view and was disappointed that we paid more, partial views were as good at lower cost. Ended up being transferred to Secrets Huatulco,it is the same chain,we were happier there. Have been to quite a few all inclusives and this was not the top of the list.Staff overall friendly but lacked just a little bit of enthusiasm. I guess I am getting grumpy in my old age but will not go back to resorts where children are allowed. Sometimes the adults are not any better. I am sure I am not the only one who would like to have the hotels enforce a rule for reserving chairs and controlling unwanted noise coming from guests whose idea of a good time is standing around the bar drinking all day and being loud.We are already booking for September to the resort we feel is the best, but we will not divulge the location, we only recommend it to respectful quiet people.After reading the reviews before booking I think the opinion of many was overrated.

Beautiful view of pools and ocean. Very clean beach , pool , resort. Good selection of beer and alcoholic drinks, bartenders were very good , staff for throughout the resort were awesome. We will be returning
