Everything from dining to our room was perfect we had zero complaints, we will be coming back. Everything was clean and all staff was super friendly. The casino was fun and the salt grass restaurant was our favourite place to eat.

Staying at the Golden Nugget was a nice experience. It is definitely in the top 3 of the downtown hotels. I stayed in the Rush Tower which was close to the pool and Casino. I was provided with a very large room with a coffee maker [4 coffee pods] and multiple bottles of water in the fridge. The other advantage of staying at Downtown Vegas is all of the Casinos are close by [within walking distance] and you get the Fremont Experience.

Had a wonderful time. Loved our hotel and the location. We did have a lil issue at check in but resolved quickly was hoping for an upgrade but the time checked was to hectic and was unable to get one. Will definitely be going back

the hotel was located in a great central area on Freemont - unfortunately 2 of the parties with our group ( myself - my shower did not work at all and after I called 3 times they finally came and agreed that yes it is broken.. ) and another couple had to move rooms due to separate plumbing issues during our brief stay - no offer to compensate - despite the other parties fancy dress and bag for the weeding we were attending getting soaked due to the leak in their closet from the room above

Golden Nugget is a fantastic hotel, right in the heart of where we wanted to be! The pool was so fun and relaxing!! The bars where fantastic! We had one little hiccup at Vic and Anthony but they handled it with class! Will go back for sure!

Beautiful hotel Friendly staff nice restaurants. Right on Fremont in the middle of action. Always stayed on the strip before , but now it's the nugget for me . I even won enough on my last night to pay for my trip

Hotel is very good overall. Staff was excellent. I was hoping to stay longer since my plane was at 8:30 pm. They said I could only stay an extra hour for $29.I left something in my room. At 4:00 my room wasn’t made yet. I could have rented it for longer. Disappointed.

Cleanliness, poor - gritty dust on furniture, had to wipe down furniture, found receipt under powder table from previous occupant, dresser drawers would not stay closed once clothes were placed in them and toilet ran continuously if you did not jiggle lever. Resort area was kept clean and restaurants were very good.

Excellent hotel, lots to do within walking distance away from the strip (which I find is a little overrated). Rooms are very comfortable, clean and spacious. Definitely will stay here again and enjoy more of what I missed on this past trip.

We have stayed at the Nugget a number of times in all three towers. We stayed in the Gold tower this time and really enjoyed our stay. This tower has the easiest access to the casino and Freemont Street and will be our choice in future stays. We had most of our meals at this hotel and found the food to be quite good and the service excellent.

The Golden Nugget is right down town on Fremont Street, so when you step outside you are at the Fremont Experience. The hotel hosts one of the top ten aquariums in the world and you can see part of the aquarium from the beautiful indoor/outdoor pool or when dining in the Chart Room which is excellent. There are all kinds of facilities in the hotel and many varied places to eat. The rooms are not as large as some on the Strip, but they are clean and well kept and Housekeeping responds immediately to calls. The Business Office is exceptionally well run and the people working there are very very accommodating and helpful as is the front desk. Valet parking is well organized and well run. You are also within steps of all the older downtown hotels such as the 4 Queens and Binions. It is very different from the Strip and yet an integral part of the history of Las Vegas.

Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. Prices are excellent, We have stayed with my 2 friends for a 5 days trip and honestly I am so happy we found this place. The check in was fast with very nice, friendly people . Nice lobby. with heated pool in the main floor for guests The room was super clean with comfortable bed ,the bathroom with shower very clean. The location in downtown was good, only 5 minutes walk to public transit (rouge bus to take you to the strip 8 dollars for 24 hours) Overall we had a good stay in this hotel,

Upon arrival (1 day late) the reception was very friendly and accommodating. Was a great start to an otherwise crappy start due to air delays. No issues, close to Fremont St. and room was big and bed was comfy. Early checkin to our flight going home done by the front desk, no issues. Was nice to have free parking too. Would come back again anytime.

Hotel and location were great, a little dated but the price was perfect. Couldn't use the pool as time of the year didn't permit it. Fairly safe and not as busy as the strip. Would happily go again when I do the show next year.

Great location right on the freemont street experience! Super close to restaurants, other casinos, all the acts on freemont. Bus stop for the Deuce right outside the hotel. Huge rooms, comfy beds and very clean!

First two nights was in the Carson tower 3 floor. I bit noisy but not terrible last three nights upgraded to the rush tower 22 floor corner room. What a great room. Nice view. Really quiet and had a fridge which I enjoy! If you’re hesitating staying downtown don’t. All the other casinos are updated and just gives you a lot of variety within walking distance. If you want a show yes it’s a taxi ride other than the ones at the “D” but hey gives you a chance to check out the other properties.

Hotel and casino is easy to navigate, and the staff was accommodating. Helped arrange for a room change to help our mother with some mobility issues. We definitely enjoyed our stay, only negative is the resort fees.

Second time staying there within 6 months!! We love it there!! Great staff great food and very very clean.. Thats our new go to place in Vegas..wouldnt go any where else!! couldn't get over how pleasant and friendly the whole staff was..makes you feel real special..thats what a holidays all about!! The hotel is well maintained in the main floor area. Pool is amazing but shark tank could have windows cleaned more often. Rooms were newly renovated but had a musty smell. Carpets on the upper floors are filthy and never cleaned or vacuumed. On the plus side hotel will waive resort fee if flying with air Canada.Restaurants are all amazing.

The Golden nugget is the nicest/cleanest hotel on Fremont Street, and the pool is the best in town. Only complaint is that we did not get the same type of room as we booked! Nearly ended up with 2 beds in a smoking room, when we booked a king, non smoking.

Wonderful, certainly 5 star in my books. Enjoyed the ambiance and a very pleasant surprise to receive the room upgrade. Even made a bit of money at blackjack and slots. Wish I had more time to play Texas Holden. Will definitely be back. Vivian

The hotel is beautiful. Fremont street is always a lot of fun. The adult only pool is a must each time we visit (yearly) and there is no shortage of places to eat or drink. The layout is very easy to navigate

This hotel was amazing from the time we checked in to checking out. The hotel staff were very friendly and willing to help with any needs. We upgraded our room to the Rush Tower which was worth every penny. The room was extra large, king bed, sectional couch, 50" TV, very clean, bathroom had a separate toilet area, 2 large sinks, large but and shower and 2 sliding glass doors! The view was very cool from the room. The pool at this hotel was lots of fun, everything from the warm heated pool, slide through the shark tank and 3 gambling tables in the pool area for your gambling pleasure.The food is amazing and there are plenty of waitresses to help with any food/liquor needs. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We love staying in this Hotel. Very central and right on Fremont Street. We had issues for the first two days. Our room keys would not open the door. On the third day in the morning the problem was resolved. We will absolutely stay here again and again. The staff are helpful and very friendly! See you again soon!

The hotel was beautiful, everyone was sooo nice and helpful. I will most definitely be going back to the Golden Nugget. And being able to sort our bags while waiting the whole day to go to the airport was a bonus.

We enjoyed our recent stay at the Golden Nugget. Our room was recently remodeled. We were on the 21st floor in the Carson tower. Next time I would bring my own coffee maker with me. It gets pricey buying coffee every morning from Starbucks. It was also nice being right on Freemont St where all the action is. I would definitely stay there again.

We had a great experience here, after we had checked in we noticed our friends had a room that was adjoining to an empty one and they had no problem switching our rooms for us, we had the room service which was also awesome! The beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept on, Would absolutely stay here again

The entire hotel is clean, easy to navigate and has everything you need. The casino floor is large yet situated in a manner that isn't overwhelming. There are several bars and Grotto has THE best pizza!

We book our trip very early and had requested king size beds, we we went to check in we were told that since we did not book it through the hotel we were given the lower class rooms which only had two double beds, I was not aware that booking through Trip central we were not going to be treated the same as booking through the hotel, we were treated like second class. The hotel was nice the service in the casino was great but checking in was well lets just say not up to par with what we had experienced in the past when we have stayed there, Thanks,

Hotel was nice and clean. They did no have coffee pot ,micro wave or fridge in room. Unable to make cup of tea or have cold water. Hotel was suppose to give 2 bottles of water per day but I had to call for it each day. Food was delious and service was very good. Hallways very long and far from everything. Holt was very loud with people coming from elevators and Freemont street. It easy had to get to sleep at night. Would not stay there again.

The hotel is good overall. Convenient location on Fremont street, free parking for registered guests. The water bottles provided in the rooms are not free and there is no coffee machine and no fridge inside. There is Starbucks downstairs. The internet is not free, but you may get an access from the casino downstairs. The buffet is ok, more on expensive side. There is nice buffet just a block away that is called garden court. The shark tank was closed for winter.

Yet another awesome trip in the bag. 10 plus years traveling to THE VEGAS & this is still my favorite hotel. Killer club, Awesome food Vic & Anthony's & even had fantastic BBQ Chicken Fingers at the pool. Oh the pool YEAH IT'S KINDA KILLER KOOL.

Stayed at the Golden Nugget from August 28th to September 4th and had an amazing time. All around service was great and no complaints to be made. There were a lot of food options and the waitresses always take care of you.

We loved our stay at The Golden Nugget. Arrived on a Monday at 2 p.m. and no line up at check-in. We got the room we booked and comfy king bed, tub shower with good pressure. Air con a little noisy, ear plugs took care of that. Room safe just off the floor, so bending is required to use it. Fremont Street is just so much fun during the evening with all kinds of interesting things going on all around you. The Golden Nugget is far from the airport so way cheaper than a taxi, so book a shuttle ride on Expedia. We booked Super Shuttle which was less than half of the cost of a taxi. The Golden Nugget Buffet is expensive, so if you want a buffet, go to across the street to Fremont Hotel and the buffet is half the cost of the Nuggets buffet. Fremont Street really comes alive at night with 3 stages half a block apart from each other with lives bands playing at the same time. On the hour when the bands take a break they have the overhead light show with music on an excellent sound system. Fremont Street in the summer time is the best place on the planet to people watch at night. Grab a cold beer and join in on the party.

hotel above a casino... great hibachi restaurant on the main floor... got a smoking room in the gold tower. had everything I needed. partied a few nights, drove to the desert in a convertible camaro one day too... highlight of the trip... but expect a very slow check-in process...

Beautiful hotel, amazing adult only pool, incredible food. There's great access to Fremont from several different doors. The Rush Tower is our favorite and is very quiet. The pizza at Grotto by the pool is to die for and is a must.

Beautiful hotel. Staff excellent. A very nice pool. Over all a good experience although services and restaurants are very expensive compared to many of the downtown establishments. The resort fee is too high for what is included in it. We opted not to pay it because of our trip being prepaid. We used guest WiFi and signed in with email. By far the best thing about the Golden Nugget is its history and fantastic location.

What a fun place to stay. Clean, good food and GREAT spa! Right in the heart of Freemont street. You can walk up and down that street and see something different each time. The casino has a really good variety of slot machines.

By far the nicest hotel on Fremont Avenue. Don’t think twice about booking here. Clean, great service and tons if great food! The pool area is large and sunny and was easy to find a lounger. I will be back!

Golden Nugget is a fabulous hotel complex. It is big but once you get to see it, you can navigate easily around it. My room in the Carson Tower was very spacious and nicely decorated. Although I didn't talk to many employees, the ones I did talk to were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend staying here. I would again. Gord

Great restaurants, good size (not huge), nightlife was great! Concerts right outside. Comfy bed. Room chilly but I got a blanket from housekeeping. Bathroom smelled odd like the tap water perhaps had sulphur in it though drinking water was free in the room anyways.

This was my 2nd time staying at the Golden Nugget. This was my last time staying at the Golden Nugget. Our heat/air conditioner blew up, it made a grinding noise then a big puff of black smoke came out of it then it quit. I was on the 22nd floor and feared a fire so quickly called the front desk saying I wanted another room and to send someone up here to put out a possible fire. They said they were full and no other rooms were available. A maintenance guy came and "fixed it" but I was still very afraid to turn on the heat so froze the rest of the time there. The restaurant prices are over the top expensive with little incentives, joining their 24 Karat Club will get you a deal a game of slots and that's about it. Spend a little more money and go somewhere else. This place might have been bumping when Sinatra was king but now it's just a sad fire hazard.

If there was one complaint we had as a group of six, the pool hours; 10am to 10pm... a nice relaxing fresh air oasis that's not open late enough or early enough to fully enjoy. The buffet kicks, don't waste your money on another downtown - a little smokey in the second floor buffet area at busy casino times, but quickly forgotten. Rush Tower windows do not open, Carson Tower's do. A server found me gambling whenever I needed a courage booster and it didn't feel like odds were stacked against me. The band inside was very good. Overall an excellent, clean, and quiet stay.

Had a great time at the Golden Nugget and Fremont Street. The only issue was at check in. We spent an hour in the lineup only to be told our room wasn’t ready yet. We had a hockey game to attend and had to shower and change on a friends room. We did t get checked into our room until almost midnight. Overall the Golden Nugget was a great experience.

We stayed in the Carson tower and the room was spotless and spacious. The decor was a little dated but that didn’t bother us. Would recommend this hotel. Great place to stay on Fremont Street. Would definitely go back.

The staff were not friendly. Checking in, we were told our room was given away. Apparently, even though you pay for the upgraded Premium King room, if you book through a 3rd party, they don't have to guarantee that type of room. They made no effort to compensate. We were also told that the hotel had no wifi, which is not true. The friends we travelled with had a similar experience. We will not go back to this hotel. Don't waste your money on this hotel.

Love the location on Freemont Street Rooms are beautiful, well equipped Resort is easy to navigate and very clean Sushi Restaurant excellent (food, service, drinks) All staff (front desk, bell desk, bars, cleaners) so friendly & happy Buffet was extremely disappointing (limited in quality & quantity, front desk cashier was berating a hostess while we waited for our table) - wouldn't recommend a meal there

Great location, clean, unique pool slide and good selection of restaurant choices. Customer service needs improvement. Inconsistency in responses and not a welcoming team. Very nice hotel, perfect in size, extremely user friendly. Easy to take taxis, shuttles, close to highway, factory outlets and other downtown attractions. A super pool with a huge poolside aquarium full of exotic fish and sharks, great restaurants and a nice casino. Rooms depend on the tower. Worth every penny.

We have stayed at the nugget 3 times now and have yet to be disappointed! Great place.... love old Vegas. We rented a cabana at the pool and had a blast. We went to a dinner theatre at The D across the street and can't wait to go back again.

The hotel is great for wanting the Freemont St. experience since it's located right in the middle of the action. Hotel is clean, staff is pleasant and would highly recommend this hotel. We stayed in the Rush tower and found the room to be very quiet even though its the closest tower to Freemont St. This was not my first stay at this hotel and will not be my last. Thanks for making my experience "Golden".

We got a great deal on our vacation package and the Golden Nugget was a great hotel. We really enjoyed spending most of our time on Fremont street instead of the strip. We had a blast! Will definitely be back!

The Golden Nugget is a very nice place to stay on Freemont, probably one of the best places to stay there. The rooms were a little dated in the Carson Tower, but clean enough and hey who goes to Vegas to spend time in the room. My only complaint is about resort fees, they charge too much for this and I know its everywhere in the States I just think its a cash grab. I mean come on, you are making enough money from your casino as well as your hotel.

The hotel staff was very nice. The food was great. The location was spectacular, right on Freemont St and not too far from the Vegas strip. Our room was a good size and everything was very clean. I would stay there again.

This is a beautiful hotel, the location on Fremont Street could not be any better. The only thing I was disappointed in was the upkeep of the hotel from the last time we stayed here four years ago.The carpets in the hallways were dirty and quite stained. Our bathroom tub was damaged on the end and rusted. Everything else about it was great.Our room was nice and very clean.The food was wonderful and the staff friendly.

This is the second time staying at the Golden Nugget and would return again. Received a room upgrade, coupons for the shows/restaurants and the hotel is located right in the middle of the Freemont Street Experience. They also waived the daily resort fee which we didn't mind not having internet for a few days. Also, walking distance to the outlet mall and Cashman's Field (Las Vegas 51's) This hotel should not be overlooked if you're planning on staying downtown and not on the Strip.

We loved everything about this hotel after we upgraded to the newer tower. It was clean, spacious, friendly and accommodating. We dined in the restaurants and the food and service was excellent. The pool was amazing. The location was perfect. The gambling was the best I've ever had in Vegas.

Great time didn't find it noisy as others have commented the bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept on in years. Room keys did'nt so good and just a heads up why not put a few free K cups out for customers would go a long way are my thoughts.

We stayed at the Golden Nugget for the first time .Awsome room .very friendly people .All the amenities were great service was good defiantly stay there again .Fremomt experience was great .Would defiantly recommend this hotel to anyone that would get a great experience .

Spent 5 nights at the Golden Nugget and were underwhelmed. The staff at the front desk and throughout the hotel were cool and detached, professional but unwelcoming. Our room in the Carson Tower was more or less what we expected, but the side of the bathtub was dirty. After the first cleaning by housekeeping, the tub still wasn't cleaned so I spoke personally with our housekeeper, who promised to take care of it. It wasn't, so we just accepted the lower standard. The pool was very good, temperature right and the shark tank is fun. The casino is busy but even here the staff were all business. We ended up gambling elsewhere so that we could play table games with dealers who were personable. Ultimately, if I had been in Vegas for business meetings, this would have been perfectly acceptable to me (aside from the room cleaning issue). But since I was here for a lifetime experience, I come away disappointed. I won't go back to the Golden Nugget.

The hotel was very nice. Enjoyed our stay here and the food in the hotel was very good. The room was a typical hotel room with a very comfortable king size bed. It was clean and spacious. Location was great right on FREEMONT Street, with lots to do and see. Everything you need is close by.

Usually stay on the strip but opted for the Golden Nugget for something different. Stayed in the Carson Tower, a bit dated but we don't spend much time in the room. It was clean and spacious and reasonably priced. Purchased a three day bus pass for $20, and took full advantage of the Deuce, riding it up and down to the strip, and could still use the pass to get us to the airport when it was time to go. Fremont Street has quite a cast of characters and many options for more reasonable dining than offered on the strip. Would stay at the GN again and probably will next time around.

Loved the hotel! Everything was very clean, public bathrooms were always spotless, the room was very clean, the bed was so unbelievably comfortable and the pillows were like putting your head on a cloud. The Buffett was great and had a huge selection of food. The hotel was right on freemont street and was one of the coolest things I've ever seen! The only thing I did not like was that there was no 'lounge' area to sit (couches etc) after we checked out and had to wait for the airport shuttle. Sure there were couches at the bars but there was a 1 drink minimum to sit there??

My dad and I enjoyed out stay here immensely. Rooms were clean and noise free despite being on Freemont Street. The staff were polite and we enjoyed the pool. I would stay downtown at the Golden Nugget again.

The staff at the hotel was more than accommodating. On our 1st night there the bed was lumpy and we didn't sleep too well. They changed the bed and box spring within an hour. The hotel room was great! We upgraded to the Rush Tower and it was well worth it. Everyone is friendly and the food at the hotel was fantastic! I have stayed in Las Vegas several time and its the first time I will actually go back to the same hotel. I look forward to going back in a few months. It is very well located on Fremont street as well.

It was very clean, well run, great staff, rooms were top notch and the restaurants are all great. I loved the pool too. I will recommend this resort to many people. And I will stay there again The staff seem to like working there.

Carson tower rooms are really run down and need upgrades and makeovers, then again, you are in Vegas, get out and see it, who cares what the room looks like!? New beds were a plus, we had bad view out the window, looking at a parking lot in between two other sides of hotel, but spent little time there to really care! This review is strictly for the Carson tower, we saw a room in the rush tower, much better!

Our room was fantastic, We stayed in the Rush Tower which is newer than the Carson Tower and not only did we have a great view of the strip and the surrounding mountains, the room was terrific. Our Kids stayed in the Carson Tower, their room was "so-so" and their view, obstructed at best. Well worth the upgrade!

This is our second time at the Golden Nugget and we have thoroughly enjoyed it both times. It is a very clean and beautiful place to stay. They have a great house band on the weekends. Nothing bad to say about the Golden Nugget at all.

We were a little hesitant to stay in downtown Las Vegas – so many reviews on various sites caution that its faded glory is not for everyone. However, being avid collectors of anything retro, our curiosity about seeing the original Vegas won out (and we'd do it again in a heart-beat!) We chose the Golden Nugget package on TripCentral based on an outstanding deal and by reading reviews that the Carson Tower provided safe and comfortable accommodation. We can't confirm how those rooms are as upon arrival we were offered an upgrade to the Rush Tower for $10.00 per night which we gladly accepted. Our huge modern king room on the 19th floor had a view facing the Stratosphere and was as quiet and comfortable as a traveller could hope for. The bathroom area was well-designed to make morning preparations a breeze with well-lit with double sinks and soaker tub with rain shower and a separate toilet area. Both bed and leather couch in the seating area were comfortable and the small touches such as toiletries, lighted makeup mirror, housecoats, iPod docking, charging station, quality flat screen TV and plenty of drawer and closet space made us feel right at home. This room was as clean as any we've been in, no mould in the bathroom, no odors, stains or other offensive problems and housekeeping staff were quick to make up our room each morning. The hotel features were fun and flamboyant whether you were into sliding through a shark tank or having a glass of wine and happy hour appetizers while watching the amazing variety of sea creatures in the extraordinary aquarium at The Chart House. The casino area is comfortable with friendly, professional and approachable staff – we had a great time playing an evening poker tournament and sampled many of the slots. Nearby attractions are The Fremont Street Experience just outside the casino doors (perhaps the world's most glitzy and bizarre pedestrian mall), and within walking distance to featured-on-TV pawn and collectibles shops and Container Park - an upscale shopping area fashioned from dozens of shipping containers. So, fear not, Vegas travellers. Downtown Las Vegas is a worthy, safe and fun destination and The Golden Nugget is just the place to experience it from.

Love staying downtown Vegas!!! Everything is close so no walking for miles. The Golden Nugget is the only place we stay when visiting Vegas. We usually stay in the Carson Tower and have never had any problems with our rooms. Upon checking in we run the shower, flush the toilet, check the ac unit and tv to make sure everything is in working condition before unpacking. The rooms are very spacious with comfy beds. Lots of great restaurants and entertainment on Freemont St. Staying downtown gives you more bang for your buck.

I liked because it was right on Freemont St. Also all the coupons we received was great!!The room was quite nice and clean and bed was comfortable. The weather was ok not too hot! Found the nugget but should be more visible.

Great location; comfortable rooms/beds; excellent restaurants; lots to see and do right out the front door. The bus stop is right there. Easy access to the Outlet Mall, the Strip, and all Vegas has to offer.

Golden Nugget Hotel is a beautiful property except Rush Tower Room 5208 - dark and depressing looking onto the roof of another part of the building, an ugly airconditioner dripping water and rags stare you in the face upon opening the drapes.

It is a very busy hotel. You may have to wait in lin-ups for checking in & out; you may not be able to get a chair around the pool; you may have to be patient walking through the crowds .... but it's a great location. I prefer the Fremont night life. I was in Vegas twice this year and usually spent time on the strip during the day for looking around, shopping & shows but it was always nice to go back to Fremont at the end of the night to enjoy great street entertainers and a casual fun atmosphere - when you are ready to shut it down your're right there at your hotel.

First of all the hotel's location is excellent - right on Fremont Street that is so exciting. The Golden Nugget has everything one could want, 5 star rooms, many restaurants, large swimming pool, easy check-in & friendly staff.
