Our main complaint was the food in the two buffets. There was plenty of sides but the mains were horrible. They were either in a stew or soup style. So really you couldn’t tell what meat it was. I hardly ate anything. There was a lot of people complaining. Also considering it is a Sea side resort there was hardly any Sea food. The only shrimp we saw was again in some sort of sauce. Another complaint was that our room didn’t have a balcony. There was no mention of that in the on line add. There wasn’t enough umbrellas or beds around the pool. On the good side, the resort was very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The good: Nice beach Clean rooms The bad: Had to wait in line for breakfast almost every morning. Once for almost an hour. Once we arrived at 10:40am (breakfast closes at 11am.) We finally got in at 11:05am.We went straight to the omelette station, by the time we were through the line up they had removed all the food from the buffet. No toast, no fruit, nothing! The ugly There was a constant smell of sewage in the hallway going from the main reception to the north wing! We have stayed in Puerto Vallarta over a dozen times. We will never stay at this resort again.

Older resort, a little worn but clean The softess bed ever in Mexico. Buffet is adequate though not inspired. Specialty restaurants had nice selections with excellent service. Definitely a hotel suited for young children with child section containing safe pool, pirate ship and waterslides that truly appeals to children. Recommend for family with younger children.

Overall I would give this resort a 3.5/5. Pros: friendly staff, great beach, could always find chairs by the bigger pools and beach, spacious rooms, all pools were good size for kids, food wasn’t 5 stars but you could usually find something you like! Cons: small and uncomfortable beds, bar hours/supplies (kept running out of light beer and champagne, smell in bathroom was atrocious, not enough seating around the kids pool, seemed short staffed especially at the bars, and I don’t understand the need for an adults only pool on such a kid friendly resort when the adults only resort is right next door, use the space for something else lol I wouldn’t go back to this resort BUT if you’ve booked it, don’t regret it. Vacations are what you make them and we had a blast at this resort.

The hotel and grounds were beautiful. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We knew it was a family hotel however were a little overwhelmed by how many kids were there. We had no problem getting into the buffet for eating but it was extremely noisy. It may have been spring break for a lot which would explain it. Lots however for kids to do. Weren’t able to get into the ala cartes. Our room was ok however was more of a suite. This was in the older part of the hotel. No dishes or anything but a coffee pot. We requested tea however on the request sheet in the room but didn’t get it. We ended up getting some from the restaurant. There also was a bad odour from the bathroom in the room, and beds (mattresses) stored right outside our door and many others the whole time we were there. Not sure if the rooms in the bigger part of the hotel would have been better or not. On day two we requested an upgrade to the Crown Paradise Golden however couldn’t get in for a few days. We didn’t complain about these two issues as we were leaving. We did find the adult only pool which made for a relaxing time. On the whole, good staff, good service however the part we were in was definitely not 4 star material. Would not recommend for adults only..

For the money spent for a 10 day stay, rooms were terrible, 1st room at check in was a dungeon, 2nd room was better but it took 3 days to get the AC repaired. Beds were very hard and uncomfortable. Maid service was often very late in the day even as late as 5:30pm. The buffet was barely edible and for my wife so often could not eat anything as nothing was appealing. the reservation process for the Ala Carte restaurant is TERRIBLE!!! On line only for the day of at 9am, so every guest would be trying at the same time to get a reservation. for a 10 day stay i could only get 2 dinners. the only upside for the resort was the waiters and bar staff, they we very nice and accommodating.

The hotel was well kept and beautiful. It was evident at first that this resort is ideal for families and young children! As an adult couple it had less activities or entertainment at night. The adult pool and bar was the best part of the resort and Francisco the bartender was incredible and extremely attentive.

This was our first time at this resort. Great service, great people. Food was really good. Hotel needs some touch up after covid I guess. But other than that really happy with our stay. Kids friendly:)

The children's park and play area was amazing, but green areas were lacking at the resort. Most of the resort is concrete. Staff were absolutely stellar and did all that they could to assist us. Room cleaning was somewhat lacking. We removed the sheets on our beds after six days so that they would be changed. We do understand saving water is very important and we did reuse our towels for several days to help out. Booking specialty restaurants was not efficient. At exactly 9:01 the entire hotel was using the QR code attempting to book a restaurant. The buffet restaurant offered a lot of variety and the three specialty restaurants on the Club side of the resort were excellent. We had access to the adult side as well and the specialty restaurants on that side were sadly lacking. The Club side of the resort is much, much nicer than the adult side.

The grounds we well kept and clean. The rooms are slightly outdated, however housekeeping did a great job keeping them looking as best as they could. The buffet was ok. Unfortunately they would advertise theme nights that never materialized. The service was excellent, friendly and courteous. Beach and pools amazing. Overall this is a great place for family and a quieter more relaxing vacation

We would not return to this hotel. It is totally geared to families with young children, and you need to be prepared to wait for almost everything. They had our reservation mixed up, and it took hours and hours to check in and finally get our room. The staff although pleasant and trying to help, were in most cases unable to assist as their English was extremely limited. The bar tenders, and bell men spoke the best English of all, however they could only help with limited issues. Phone down to front desk or housekeeping was useless. The buffet food was adequate at best, and definitely repurposed day to day. The on-site restaurants, were also a disappointment. They pools, were nice, however the swim up bar was understandably in the adult pool, however it was in the "jacuzzi" part of the pool, and extremely HOT! If I had young children (3 to 12), I might consider returning for a few days, as the premises is geared towards the kids, and the kids pool area is fantastic.

The Hotel is nice. The food was good and there was a huge variety at the buffet.The lapalapa could use a good cleaning on the chairs. You can see whales from the shore and big cruise ships going by . We walked on the shore up to an area where there is crocodiles. The nightly show was great especially the guy with the hola hoop. The hot tub and bar was nice. Should have the bar open later though. We would go back again , next time we would take kids. It's not a real romantic resort.

Everything was very clean, food was delicious. Staff was very friendly, happy and helpful. The beach area was very clean no seaweed in the water. Great location with easy access to the public bus system.

This resort was wonderful for families. Lots of amenities for the kids including waterpark, playground, pools, beach access. It was very easy to get into town and explore what else Puerto Vallarta offers by bus or taxi. Staff was always very friendly and helpful with any of our needs or requests/questions. They offer a family room with bunk beds for children. These rooms are more costly but aren't any bigger. In fact, the bunk bed area is taken from the space where the balcony would normally be so there's only a very small balcony. Also all family rooms are facing a street which can get noisy. The regular rooms have larger balconies and a lot of them face the gardens or pools. If I was returning, I would put my two kids in a regular room and have them share one of the double beds. We were stuck eating at the buffet all week which didn't have the greatest food. The a la carte restaurants have restrictions for when or if kids can join and all require nice clothing.

This was our second time at this resort. Food was MUCH better this time around I would have to say. But one thing we really missed was the lady walking around with the hawk to scare all the pigeons and blackbirds away from the food tables. Weather was fantastic, as usual, the vendors walk by but all you have to say is "no gracious" and they left you alone. Beach chairs were easy to find every morning or pool loungers. LOTS of entertainment, and if you have kids they won't leave the kids pool! We stayed at the adult pool side. It is rated 4 stars and I would say it's a SOLID 4 stars! This was our 14 All Inclusive.

We paid $779 per person taxes in and arrived December 8-15. 5 minute walk to the Marina Terminal if you are booking any excursions. Casino, grocery store and mall within walking distance. Room was spacious with large closet, drawers and fridge. Bathroom had large shower with lots of hot water. All staff were friendly and helpful. We were on the family side and there were a lot of kids. This resort has the best set up for kids club, pools, zipline, etc. I thought the food was actually very good. The alacarte restaurants were excellent with great food and staff. The public washrooms could use a lilttle more attention as there are so many people using them. The pools were great. Large jacuzzi was warm with jets but by the end of the day, it was murky - pristine the next day. All in all I thought this was a great resort and I have stayed in many in Puerto Vallarta. I would definitely go back.

The hotel was nice and the staff were friendly. The rooms were clean and the buffet was good. Overall a nice hotel. The Club side is kid friendly and the Golden side is for adults. Just be sure to book the proper hotel for your stay.

This hotel was clean family friendly with delicious food. The staff were very helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The atmosphere was relaxing whether you were beside one of the many pools or lounging at the ocean. Minutes to either the Marina or the Malacone.

Food at the resort was awful, ending up leaving the resort to eat or ordered in. Shower roof in room was moldy & dripping, no one came when we called. Very little night life at the resort. Staff nice.

We took our boys ages 5&3 to this perfect resort for kids and they loved it! While the rooms are very dated and simple everything is clean. The beds were terrible!! The a la carts are amazing and are a must! The ocean is very rough and kids cannot go in alone so we mostly played at the pool and water park.

I liked it , great place and service I found was great, maybe lobby bar could be a little more inviting or happier but other then that I loved it . Great for kids and I didn’t have any , but the beach bar was amazing and service in the beach was better then any I have been at .

The hotel was older then I expected, although SunWing staff were excellent the hotels staff except cleaning staff were very slow, sometimes rude and more into what’s going on around them then taking care of guest. Buffet was boring and tasteless I never heard of meat stew before or meat in pink sauce.

We had a very good experience at this resort: amazing, helpful staff, everything very close and easy to navigate around. The kids have a safe waterpark, kids clubs and baby club have lots of fun activities! The beach and the ocean were very nice, fine sand and clean water! Great food at the buffet, lots of variety and specialty restaurant. 10/10 rating and would definitely recommend it!

Breakfast - Where is the bacon? It took me a few days but i found out the omelet lady is the dispenser of the bacon. A $1 tip and smile went a long way towards a decent stack every morning. If you are like us and like sitting close to the edge of the water an umbrella becomes necessary. They rent them on the beach for 15USD a day. Or can be bought across the street and a 3USD cab drive at walmart for 25USD. There is also a little mall with loads of other options to check out. We brought our android box to stream a few leafs games and watch the odd tv show before bed. While the internet outside the room was not bad. Inside the room was touch and go. I did find when i went on my balcony it improved. The sports bar has lots for kids to do but the hours seemed to be very limited. Every time we went to check out the xBox room or catch a movie in the projector room they seemed “closed” even though the employee was sitting right there? We did play some airhockey and foosball though. (Also a pool table there) Either way we had a great time.

The hotel is older and is showing wear. Mattresses seemed to be past their prime. Kids had fun at the 3 pools which were warm most days. We had no hot water or water pressure for 3 of our 7 day vacation. Food was good. Service was hit and miss and for the most part the drinks were undrinkable. A surprising number of service workers didn't speak any English but it makes sense because it seemed like more locals than foreigners. There was very loud wedding dance parties on the beach 3 nights in a row. And they are doing construction between the two hotels which starts bright and early. The beach was nice.

The hotel is a well oiled machine - great service, excellent food (buffet and the specialty restaurants - go as often as you want), the grounds, many pools and the beach. The rooms are large and refurbished. Good location. Just north of the airport (less than 10 minutes) and close enough to the town (about 12-15 minutes). If you are looking for a 5-star resort this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a 41/2 start hotel you have found it.

Great beach for Pv. Good but not great food. Service is just ok. Rooms are clean, modern. Grounds are nice, well kept. Wifi good in common areas, but spotty in our room. I would go again, as the price was excellent.

The kids play area is great, but the rest of the resort is tired and needs a good clean and updates. The rooms are very basic, and beds are tiny and uncomfortable! Food was ok, nothing special. Staff were very friendly and attentive. We had a fun week but won't be going back to this resort until it's done some reno's.

good location . very good place close to shopping and marina you can see the cruise ships coming in and leaving from your room . if you have children there is lots of things for then to do i will go back to club crown paradise again .

The kids pool was great. Lots of happy children playing in there every day. Food could have been better, but there were lots of options. Close to the airport and Marina. Overall, a good family vacation.

Great location. Clean. Lots of excursions to choose from around this area. Something for everyone. Glad we picked this resort.Lots of different activities for all ages groups all day long. Layout of resort was perfect.

Nice rooms.Grounds always clean and staff constantly working on them. The only thing sadly lacking to me was the food . There was a wide variety but always the same. Quality was below average. Ate only at the buffet in the morning and a couple of nights went out to eat mostly. Staff were all very good and hospitable. Beach is excellent and spent a lot of time there. This was my third time to stay at this hotel and enjoyed my stay every time but found the food lacking every time and if this was improved this would be the four stars it is rated.

After reading reviews I was surprised with the food service and resort itself. The buffet had fresh fruit smoothies in the morning. The buffet was huge with lots of options. Then only part I wasn't happy with was, the two resorts crown paradise club and crown paradise gold were said to be I interchangeable for food and drinks and some staff said it was ok for us to eat on the other side and then we were refused by another staff.

Bad: time share timeshare did I say time-Share??! Land at the airport get sucked right in! No thanks... continues on and has the nerve to say "sir I've spent a lot of time with you (WE DIDNT WANT YOU we wanted you to SHUT UP And leave us alone!) Please sir sit in and listen to meeting this is how I make better life for my family ". These people don't STOP with time share/website crap! •beach is dark and smelly Not swim-able •Only "dos equis" beer on tap no corona or sol •Only heineken beer in rooms. Left big tip and a note to please replace bar fridge with anything but heineken but they left me again with heineken. had to pay for decent beer at gift shops •Restaurants sucked, called 3 days couldn't get through to make reservations went to concierge to try they told me to call only. Stupid way to do things. I'd avoid Puerto Vallarta if your looking for a nice beach because this beach looks NOTHING like the photos on the site. I would never go here again and feel what I was way over charged for what I got.

We have been going to that resort for over twenty years and were always very pleased. The resort was nice, rooms were clean and the food was OK. We went in January of 2017 and it was awful. We were put in a room that had urine on the floor by the toilet the beige black out drapes were black where people pull the drapes to close them. The snack bar had the same food everyday, no variety. They use to make burgers fresh at the snack bar but now they make them ahead of time and put them in the buns so by the time the snack bar opens the buns are dried out and the meat is cold. My husband who is not a picky eater ate spaghetti 8 out of the 10 days we were there. It appears that the money they used for the renovations was taken from the food and staffing budget. It makes me sad to say that after twenty some years of going there we won't be going back.

We traveled to crown paradise club, Puerta Vallarta, Mexico on September 2017 for 8 days from the 10 th to the 17 of sep, 2 adults and 3 kids, 6 yrs, 3 yrs and 14 months. My and my husband had chosen this hotel Because there is a water park and slides. There was a lot of others hotels and packages less expensivebut we went with this one. Package per adult was almost $1100. Food was ok! Not much variety, same thing almost everyday, something even they served same thing for breakfast for lunch on the same day. Also Me and my baby boy we're sick, we called a doctor to the room and we paid $US100. My son was vomiting and had diarrhea with fever as well. Dr said he had Gastroenteritis which is an intestinal infection...So he had food poisoning. I had diarrhea and sharp stomach pain. Me and him we were sick for 2 days. One of those days we did not go out of the hotel room. We stayed in a family room with 2 bulk beds, on of the beds had ants, we asked them to change the bed sheets one night and second night there was still ants. We asked them to change the room, they did. Also air conditioner was not working in our first room. We had a problem in the air conditioner in our second room after we changed it, but they fixed it right away. I have to say that kids club was very good, a lot of activity for kids, both my girls loved it and loved their teachers. Water park was amazing but they need to add more safety to it. Be prepared to pay tips and set up a budget for that, they expect tips everywhere in bars, restaurant, housekeeping. We left tips almost every meal before I got sick. I need to say the French a la carte restaurant was very good, you need to try it. To end my review I want say that we have been to Cuba and Dominican Republic, never been sick on vacation, never felt homesickness, never wanted to go back home 2 to 3 days before vacation ended, only in puerta Vallarta, Mexico.

This hotel looks amazing in the photos, boasts amazing reviews of the kid-friendly amenities, and seems like a perfect place for both children and adults alike to unwind in comfort. Unfortunately, this understaffed poorly housekept, non-hospitable resort is far from the fantasy portrayed in its descriptions. The rooms and hallways were poorly looked after leaving garbage from past and present guests for days at a time. The pools, at times smelling of urine, were glazed over with sunscreen while the poolsides were overcrowded with empty cups and other guest's trash. Reservations at the a la carte restaurants were a nightmare to book as the reservations desk would infrequently answer the phone when called while conceierge personnel refused to assist as the restaurants were "not their responsibility". Noise is out of control; children swarming the halls daily past midnight with no security to ensure tranquility in the sleeping areas. Walls are paper thin and equipment noise both on and off the resort hummed and crackled at all hours. The list continues... Overall, if your wishing for a Mexican Chucky Cheese that provides inadequate service, mediucocre cuisine, and second rate children themed entertainment - this is it. Take your spouse and relax....

I recommend this resort 100% everything was great! They are constantly cleaning the grounds, rooms are very clean with a big balcony. Restaurants are all very classy and the buffet had a very good variety with a children's buffet. Always food and drinks available every hour of the day. Children's pool with zip lines and waterslides and the kids club is awesome! Lots of activities for the kids all day! The shows are a must see! Entertaining for adults and children You will not be disappointed if you stay here!

We had a nice stay at the Crown Paradise Club from February 17th to February 24th, 2017. The rooms are slightly dated but they were clean. The food was good but it was never very warm. The three a la cartes were delicious. You had to book your a la cartes restaurants from the phone in your room and could only book them the day of or the next day. Reservations were only booked each day from 8am to 2pm. The hotel was a ten minutes drive from the airport, which was nice. There were two pools and one kid's play area (a pirate ship). We spent our time in one of the pools that was fairly shallow. It was filled with kids! Perfect if you have young ones.

Had a great time. The grounds,staff and everything was great,with the exception of the food. Stayed here last year and the food was great.This year the food was pretty much the same every day and was barely warm . Friday there was seafood and it was the only good meal of the week. All other people we talked to also were disappointed with the food. The resort is definitley a family oriented place. Very kid friendly so if you don't enjoy all the noise I wouldn't go here.

We found the crown paradise club in puerto Vallarta To be a good choice for a family vacation. It's a good value and is in a convenient location. The food is okay. The drinks are great. My 7 year old son loved it.

I have been coming to puerto Vallarta for many years. This is one of the better value resorts. Food is good, rooms are nice, beach and pools are great! Service is good, but not as good as some Pv hotels in the same category like the Canto del sol. Only go if you have young kids.

Excellent resort for families. Great staff, lots to do and see. Relaxed atmosphere and great food. Entertainment nightly if you choose to go. Rooms are basic and somewhat updated but immaculate and the housecleaning staff are very accommodating. One remark is that higher chairs around pool area for people with mobility issues.

Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and had a quick check in. The staff was wonderful, especially Sabah, Edgar and the rest of the entertainment team! They were fun to be with and my kids instantly warmed to them and were with them constantly playing games and helping with daily duties. The morning buffet servers Carlos, Hector and team were wonderful and always had smiles in their faces. The pools were well maintained and we spent many hours in and around the main pool, kids were between this pool and the awesome kids pool with 9 waterslides. The beach was very clean and water was great to swim in. Further down the beach away from the resort the undertow was quite strong at times and we stayed away but in front of the Club Paradise it was perfect. Overall, we would definitely go back.

Grounds are immaculate. There is something for all ages. Food was great and staff friendly and helpful. Kids club was amazing our eleven year old was always kept busy and never bored. We will be returning next year.

Overall, a nice resort. Hotel room was clean, service was average-good—it varied from day-to-day, buffet was good, nice large beach area. We bought a day pass to the adult resort since they had nicer lounge area by the beach, but the food choices were not any better... more choices at the family resort.

Check in and out was super easy and quick. The staff at the hotel do an amazing job of keeping everyone happy. Carlos at the breakfast and lunch buffet is absolutely awesome. Rogelio and David are 2 of the best bartenders you will ever meet. The grounds were always clean as were the pools. The maids did a decent job. The vendors on the beach could be annoying though. It was a great stay for our family (17,14,4,1)

Very well maintained resort. Perfect for families and children - lots to do and see! I would definitely go back again. The food was excellent with many choices to pick from. I loved that there was a buffet area just for kids - this resort is geared to all ages, which was very nice.

For an older resort, it was kept very clean. The serving staff were awesome, friendly and accommodating, however the information staff were often rude, and it was impossible to get reservations for the sit down restaurants.

Always something to do for our 4 & 6 year old granddaughters. They liked the food, tropical drinks, pools, kids club and shows. The beach is beautiful, market right next door, Walmart,supermarket and banks very close by,

Our kids were 10 and 8 some of the events that they had for the kids were for younger kids, the kids liked that they could get their own specialty drinks. The food was ok at the buffet the a la cart were all delish they were good with our kids. Make sure you book a reservation early or you will get stuck at 830 for dinner.

The place was great. Rooms were clean, no bugs. Actually the entire resort was clean no bugs. There is a fabulous area for the kids to play with that is out of this world. There is also a pool for families (which was heated) and there was a pool and a large large hot tub for adults. Hot tub was headed and had the bar inside. The water is rough but that is expected there, but the beaches are clean. You do not need to fight for a chair or go put your towel down at 6:00 a.m. as there are more then enough lounge chairs available so there is always one where you want to go without having to reserve. There is a lot of vendors on the beach though but was told the beach is public so not much to do about it. but if you tell them no they go away. The food was good, a lot of fish and seafood. i.e. I don't eat that but I ate well as they have a good variety. Restaurants can be booked the same night but I didn't go as I found it sufficient enough at the buffet. So if your an adult and don't want kids well you can still go there and stay on the adult side but if you have kids, they have so much for them. Even to the fact that I'm considering sending my son and my grandkids there. They have four bars, but only 2 open after 6:00 p.m. (one in the lobby and one near the beach). The beach one is where everybody went. Never big line ups to get into the buffet either and staff were very friendly and all spoke English. Rooms are a little bit outdated but hey, do you go for the room or for the rest of the trip?? to me as long as it's clean and no bugs I'm good. I can't commend on the evening entertainment cause by the time we were all done we didn't go to any. Oh and you can have room service in your room free of charge (once a day) and the food is hot, good and delivered to your room within half hour. Casino is like a 5 minute walk (right beside the Walmart). On the right side of the resort there are booths with vendors (type flea market) which I went into town to those and honestly those right beside the resort have the same thing so I could have saved a trip. Buses are 50 American cents. The Canadian consulate is about 10 minutes away also so in case of emergency they are not far either. Right beside that resort there is another Paradise hotel which is for adults only. But to be honest, I was ok with the one with had. So all this to say all in all it was a very nice trip and highly recommend that hotel to your guests. It's not a 5 star but it's close to a 4 star for sure.

After reading all the negative reviews we had reservations about this resort but we were pleasantly surprised at how great it was. Room was very clean, and spacious, resort kept very well, food was good, al la cartes were excellent! everything is so close within steps of the beach, our room was ocean view, what more can you ask. The adult swim up bar hot tub and pool was a favourite of ours and of course the beach. Great vacation will definitely go back!

All areas of the hotel were very well maintained.Rooms were clean. The buffet was very good with an exceptional variety, ate there for every meal. Service was excelant. Only issue was they should do something about the birds at the beach.

It was good overall. Some staff were excellent. Some, not so much. Al a cart meals were really good. Buffet food was pretty good. Had to pay for wifi which was absolutely ridiculous. Was expensive as well.

My husband and I travelled with 4 of our children 6yrs of age down to 1yr old. The resort was very clean and the staff was great. The waterpark for the kids was amazing and the kids had a great time. The other two pools were deep pools which was a bit tough with the little ones. One pool was even heated which was nice. The beach was ok. The water was very cold but the kids had fun throwing dirt and playing on the beach. The food was just ok. There was always something the kids could eat for for us adults it was a little hard finding something good. I found the drinks to be full of sugar. All in all it was a good vacation and the kids had a blast. We even moved rooms to accomodate our large family needs and the resort was very helpful. We had to pay for wifi which was a downer and it was only for 2 devices. The cable tv was 98% in spanish so my kids watched their shows in spanish.

Overall great place for kids. The kids club was great and the food very good. We loved having unlimited à la carte meals. The service was good too. On the negative side, the pool heater broke down 3 days into our 2 week trip and they didn't get it fixed, the pool was freezing. The washrooms near the bars were dirty, and there were no video games for kids as advertised. Because they allow food outside the restaurants, the birds are out of control and there are people selling time shares inside the resort who are aggressive. Also, I have never seen a resort where beach vendors can come up onto hotel grounds. We were barely able to enjoy the beach.

The pools and amenities were adequate, especially for the kids. The pool area, restaurant and kids paradise were kept quite clean but the common washrooms were often out of soap to wash your hands. The rooms are another story! Our sheets were dirty in all 4 beds (king and bunks with pull out). Pillow cases were dirty and old as well. That was the least of the problems. I had BEDBUGS!! So disgusting! And now I've spent the first 4 days back checking and sanitizing my belongings to ensure I didn't bring any home or into my house. Too bad. The pools were fun, food was decent and for the most part, the staff were friendly.

Be aware that there are beg bugs at this resort. I was fortunate enough to detect the bed bugs in my first suit before we went to bed. They were very accommodating in changing my room but that didn't stop me from worrying if any of those blood suckers got into my luggage. My second suite was clean and free of bed bugs so after the first day we had a good time. The pool and the surrounding area was constantly kept clean and the beach was nice. It was not as beautiful as the white sanding beaches on the Caribbean side but we expected that. The food at the buffet was okay. The French restaurant we enjoyed the cheese fondue, duck for entrée and the both the Baklava and chocolate mouse were really good. At the Italian restaurant the Spaghetti and the pizza was good. At the Japanese restaurant we mainly liked the appetizers from there. Overall, we enjoyed the stay. The kids had a blast at the slides and the beach. If the rooms were nicer with clean and soft sheets we would have rated it higher. We spent only $5100 for a family of 5 so we felt we got what we paid for. I did feel really sorry for the family I saw with bed bug bites all over their legs at the pool though. The front desk did inform us that the entire place was sprayed 2 weeks before our arrival, so they are trying to do something about the problem.

My family and I stayed at this resort from Feb 8-22. This was our first trip to Mexico and it exceeded our expectations. This resort is right beside the Marina and a local grocery store. There were positives and negatives about this resort but overall a good resort for families with children. Our room was the standard room and we thought it was very nice and clean with a beautiful view of the ocean. We were debating whether to stay in this room or a family room and were glad that we went with this room. We had a chance to go into a family room and it was the same size as our standard room, the only thing that is different is the kids would have their own sleeping area but to get this the balcony becomes a one person standing area over looking a road. Our beds were new but way too hard as were the pillows which made for 2 weeks of restless sleep. There was no fridge in the room which would have been nice to have. The resort is very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We ate mostly at the buffet which we thought was really good but we did hear people complaining about it. The beach snack area had pretty much the same food every day which was ok because we liked the hotdogs and hamburgers. My favorite place to eat was the snack shack by the main pool which opened from 4-11, the best burritos, I couldn't get enough of them! The pirate ship/kids area was very nice to have as our kids(4 & 6) spent a lot of time there. The main pool is very nice, warm and has a bar right there. We never spent a lot of time at the infinity pool but it is very nice and is right beside the beach. The adults only pool is more of a warm bath tub but as one gentleman pointed out, "it has a bar!" The beach is nice but I wasn't expecting to have that many locals trying to sell their merchandice to us, over and over and over again and the rope barrier is just a decoration or a tripping hazard!! The locals usually walked on if you waved no but it became very annoying and as a result we only spent 3 days on the beach! The bartenders worked really hard to get you what ever you wanted, the only problem I had was there was only one choice in beer and that was Corona, which would be ok but I'm a beer drinker and apparently I'm allergic to something in Corona. Over all it was a good resort, especially for families with young kids and we would go back there. Id like to make a few suggestions for management: -There should be a safe key for every room in the resort, waiting a day to get one is really unacceptable -The Adults only pool should Only be an Adults only pool at night because this resort is marketed as kid friendly and it would have been nice for the kids to have a pool to warm up in on the few cool days that we had there. If the adults wanted to have a pool without kids, all they would have to do is go to the other Crown resort (Adults Only) which attached to this resort and all adults have access to anyways! Make this pool for adults some time at night and keep the bar open later. -The gym on both resorts is small and very lacking on equipment -A few different choices in beer (I wasn't happy having to buy beer from the local grocery store)

We stayed at crown paradise club february 1-8, 2015. This resort is amazing! Not too big, not too small! We travelled with our 4 year old daughter and another family with 3 children. The buffet is great! Something for everyone and a special childrens buffet area so they can serve themselves. The beach snack bar we all enjoyed they serve hotdogs, hamburgers, fries, fried fish, calamari, ice cream etc. Our children loved the infinity pool probably because it was the warmest. Staff was great! I only have a couple of negatives. The pillows are lumpy. I read that in a review before we left so o brought my daughters pillow from home, if you have small children I suggest you do the same. The wi fi is spotty and doesn't work all the time. If you do get wi fi do not throw out the card with the password or take a picture of it. We threw ours out and it asked for our password the next day which we did not have so we had to buy another card:( We stayed on the 4 th floor the rooms were nice and recently renovated. We heard the lower floors have not been renovated yet so keep that in mind when booking. There is a Walmart and a supermarket very close by. Beware there are people trying to sell time shares at the supermarket who are pretty aggressive. Bring lots of sunscrean they charge $25.00 a bottle there. There is no mini fridge or coffee maker in the room. We bought water from Walmart and kept it in the room. If you like your coffee bring a coffee press and grounds to make your own on the room. The kids pool is VERY slippery!! Our daughter wiped out at least 5 times. It's pretty dangerous. There are no bath tubs in the rooms just a shower which was fine for us. The TV mostly has Spanish stations so download shows and movies on your tablet if you can. Tip the bartenders and you will get amazing service! I highly recommend adventuras park! It was awesome! Lots to do! All and all an amazing resort! We are already planning to go there next year!

This hotel was not the greatest hotel we had visited but was a good place to stay. It's was clean and the staff very helpful and wonderful. During our stay we didn't get a good weather for 3 days( windy and rain)They told us, it's unusual, the weather is always nice.

The hotel was old, activities not well run (not even posted or communicated), food was just okay if you eat meat but it was poor if you're a vegetarian. A la carte ones were great! Hospitality suite sucked! Great if you bring kids but not if you don't or if you don't want to be around them. It was clean though and the service was really good. Being next to a flea market was great to go to but there were also a lot of vendors on beach.

This was our sixth time at Crown Paradise Club. The resort was newly renovated last year with updated rooms and two new pools. The new infinity pool is great for families and the new adults only pool is fabulous. Some people have said they don't like the buffet, but we found it better than ever. Always lots to choose from. If you don't like children on your vacation, you might want to consider Crown Paradise Golden (adults only, next door). We don't take young children (as ours are grown), but we don't mind the families at all. There's a wonderful children's area and an even better adults only area. We love coming back to see the staff who are always welcoming. Close to the airport, Walmart, shopping mall and grocery store. A very safe area to walk in. The cruise ships dock at the marina right next to the resort which is always fun to watch. If you choose to go on the pirate ship or Rythym of the Night, you're within walking distance of boarding the boat. It's a $6-8 cab fare to The Malecon. The Crown Paradise would not be considered 5 star, but we've never needed turn-down service. The resort is spotless, we never go hungry or thirsty and the staff are wonderful. We don't need anymore than that!

Beach was okay except for the panhandlers, food at the beach was great food at the buffet to me was terrible wasn't impressed. Resort was clean. This resort needs more areas for sitting with chairs that comfortable.need fridges in rooms and better service in buffet, also need more beach chairs.

Clean resort modest though,good food and bar service bellhop Roberto was great personable and eager to help, no mini bars and 1 bottle of water??? Overall good value return guest even hosted dinner beachfront for returning guests over50 people must mean something nice touch

Great for families! We loved it. There is something for everyone! It is well maintained. All the staff is very friendly. The bar service is a little slow but that is looking for something to complain about!

We just returned from a 10 day stay at this small but lovely resort! We travelled with our 2 small children who had an amazing time and made lots of new friends! The resort was very close to the airport so no long drive to and from! Upon arrival we we greater by our Westjet rep and everything was smooth sailing. Off to the resort and that was quick and easy as well! We took a basic room with an ocean view, was lovely and simple and clean! Only thing missing was the fridge didn't have any beverages like all other all inclusives that we've stayed at, and they only provide one bottle of water and you have to buy what you need their after! Not the end of the world! But could have been included! So to rate the food at the buffet, everything w very good, although the selection was limited, but what they had was yummy! There was something for everyone! Was out daughters birthday while we were away, and they made her a lovely cake and made it special for her ! Also the mixed drinks where much better than most placed we've stayed, always fresh and not a powder like some of the other resorts! The pool was great not over chlorinated, always fresh towels when you needed them, the only thing I missed was the beach, the seas were very rough while we were there so we couldn't take the kids to play in it, but that's not the resorts problem! Also a bonus was they did. Room service, and the food was great, our son loved the home made chicken nuggets! Overall I would recommend this resort for family's, cause it is a family place! The resort is one of the few good ones I have experienced. The staff is helpful and everybody works very hard to keep the common area clean. ( e.g. sweep the sand on most walking path, clearing dirty plates and glasses left all over the common areas ). The food is one of the best I have come across. Lots of selections and 3 types of fish every meals, not to mention the tasty Mexican food ! There are lots of activities for children and family but for a single person like, me, I find it a little noisy and I have to get up early in order to use any the swimming pools. The kids and families are in the pool from 9 to 9 ! I met people from the All Adult only came over to our side for food and to mingle. Entertainment wise is great for families with children but not for adults. Too bad the Pacific Ocean has such high strong tide and I was not able to swim at all. All in all, I find this place good, clean and I have already recommended to friends with children.

The rooms were clean, housekeeping was great and staff was very friendly. The pools weren't crowded, the kids pool was amazing. The nightly activities could have been better. All in all We had a great time and I can't wait to go back.

I was skeptical of a place with "Paradise" in the name, but for me Crown Paradise lived up to its name. The grounds and buildings were beautiful and well maintained, it was right on the beach, there was a choice of pools. The buffet was excellent, packed with great local options, a juice bar in the morning, soups, and something for everyone. The best time was on the weekends (when there were Mexican tourists) that's when the buffet was really great, it was average but good the rest of the time. I didn't try the specialty restaurants. There were many gems on the staff; they were helpful and pleasant. Others could be more business-like and less accommodating, but they were in the minority. The rooms were clean, air-conditioned, comfortable. If you don't like the sound of kids, make sure you are on the wing that doesn't look onto the kids pool. I personally like to hear them playing all day.
