This was a lovely hotel. Great large rooms with balconies that all face the ocean. The pools are all lovely with 3 options of a pool with lots of action and music. Another pool with music but no games and exercises and the 3rd pool that was quieter. The food was quite good with the restaurants being excellent. However you only get to eat at the restaurants 3 times for every 7/8 days which means 4 nights of buffet food. We were definitely getting tired of the buffet food by the fourth time. Would be nice if they opened up the restaurants more times for a 7/8 night stay. The beach was quite small but there was a lovely beach close by within walking distance. I would definitely go back to this hotel

Pools,food,service,cleanliness were all top shelf. Beautiful rooms and veiws. Really the only thing that was lacking was the nightly entertainment. The beach in front of the hotel was kind of small but a short 5 minute walk got you to a nice big public beach. Also a shout out to Trip Central and Sun Wing who looked after all the details and made this a very nice holiday.

If your looking for a relaxing week in Mexico this is the place! The service was great and people were very friendly. The view is breathtaking, waking up seeing the ocean was a great start to the day. (every room is facing the ocean) If you are a beach kind of person, this resort has a small area but you can walk to either side of the resort to enjoy 2 long walking beaches. There is also the Island of Ixtapa, just a 10 minutes taxi boat ride, where great food and snorkeling awaits! (make sure to bring pesos) I had brought american money with me for my trip but the resort only accepts pesos or visa/mastercard. You can't exchange your money at the resort you'll need to head to the village of Ixtapa about 10 minutes taxi ride.

Excellent staff at this resort very happy and friendly, beautiful view rooms very clean with rain shower, large jet tub, comfy bed, coffee maker, beer and water in the fridge. Very nice pools with great drink service. The food is just okay, we tried all the restaurants and nothing stands out at all, little decorative plates of weird food? The main buffet is boring pretty much the same everyday. Nighttime entertainment is terrible when we arrived we had a mariachi band which was nice but hard to take in as all you want to do is get to your room, I never saw any mariachi bands again all week, there is a entertainment room but there is no atmosphere in that room, there should be somewhere at night outside for adults to sit listen to Mexican music and have a drink, somewhere away from the kids playing ping pong etc. The sun wing party had a country western theme??? I came to Mexico to enjoy Mexican music not country western. The Mexican evening put on by the hotel again terrible entertainment could have been so much better as we have been to other Mexican nights with games and a much better show. All round disappointing atmosphere at this hotel. Defiantly room for improvement in this beautiful setting.

great staff . very clean throughout. excellent ala cartes. what more can you say. close to ixtapa island for great snorkelling. the weather is always great. beautiful ocean views from all rooms. the grounds are immaculate. it is away from town.. if you want peace and quiet this is the place for you.

This hotel had everything we were looking for: Large, comfortable rooms; Lots of food variety; Friendly staff; Amazing views from the balcony. The sports bar doesn't open until 4pm and the Manager was able to let us in early in order to watch an NHL game. Everyone was so accommodating and helpful. We booked all of our a la cartes on arrival and no issues with timings or availability. The Italian was my favorite. Always plenty of variety at the buffet. The three pools provided us the opportunity of quiet solitude at the adult only pool, or relaxing at the infinity pool. We always had a lounger albeit the later in the day you went to the pool, the harder to find them. We travelled as four adults and would return. Amenities and grounds were impeccable. No complaints. The only downfall is the limited beach, with very rocky area entering the water (water shoes a must!).

Every area was so clean and well managed. Wished more staff spoke English but otherwise our stay was perfect. The food was very good but after a week was a bit monotonous. Great place for families . Surprised to find after buying american dollars they only wanted Canadian money because of the US president...

The grounds and Hotel are very well kept and the staff is fantastic, the a la Carte’s were very good, although booking them was difficult (we were told they were full but when we checked they were always half empty). The other flaws are: food at the buffets is just so-so. The night time entertainment is basically none existent. Also the towel check out-in process is very time consuming. Lastly you can not use the facilities at the lower end Azul next door. So if you are expecting to check out the pools or get a drink, you can’t.. first time that we have seen this policy...

Clientele: The resort appears to have chosen to cater to families and adults as opposed to the younger partying crowd. Grounds: Grounds are very well maintained. Trees and flowers are always well kept. Every inch of the real estate is designed and built to provide aesthetic and recreation value. The beach is small and not good for swimming but without any venders. Public Areas: pools are well kept with plenty of umbrellas, chairs and lounges. Hotel discourages reserving of lounges but some still do. Food, Beverages and Restaurants: At the main buffet there is everything for every taste (fish/seafood, chicken, beef, pork, cooked vegetables, soups, pasta plus a Mexican station) everyday. The down side is that you can never find anything new, for those who like surprises. A la carte restaurants are fabulous especially the service. One of them is even open for lunch. One can be so spoiled. The addition of a little cappucciano bar is a very nice touch Rooms: They all have ocean view, balcony and are all very spacious. I am guessing about 700 SF. Plumbing in "our" room needs work. The handicap shower room is spacious but needs to be improved to provide better safety. I am assuming that this would be a typical situation. Staff: They are all very polite and friendly. They appreciate a tip, big or small. As a foreigner enjoying the best of their foods and services, not to mention the climate and the view, one can't help but wanting to give them something to show a little appreciation. I was told that most of the staff in the hospitality industry get paid only minimum wages, and I mean Mexican minimum wages. Entertainment: Stages shows are held nightly at an outdoor facility. Insects can be somewhat annoying. There is also an indoor "recreation room" type of facility with nightly live music and dance floor, plus pool tables and other games. Disco is off site. The only criticism I have is that their office is not very responsive when you communicate with them during booking.

Have travelled Mexico many times over the years this was the first to Ixtapa. The Azul Grand is a great place clean and well maintained. The grounds are well looked after and out door furniture washed down and clean. All rooms face the ocean, have a furnished balcony to enjoy are spacious and well laid out. The water closet, sink and shower each have their own space so can be utilized at the same time, very functional. Spacious closet as you enter the room for luggage, foot wear and clothing. Three pools to enjoy and easy access to the beach. There is a lovely walkway between the Azul and the Azul Grand. Buffet has a decent variety and the food overall is quite good. Booking reservations for the restaurants wasn't the best experience. We arrived on Thursday evening and booked reservations the next day. We never got into the Italian Restaurant or the Oyster Bar for dinner there wasn't anything available during our seven day stay, very disappointing. We were able to get into the Mexican and Japanese restaurant so went twice to each the food was good. There is lunch available at the pool restaurant however not much if any change from day to day. Pool service is excellent. Tried to watch an NFL playoff game in the lounge Sunday but not the best set up for viewing if you happen to be a sports fan. Seating isn't really geared up to view the screens. May not be a concern if you are there to enjoy the peace and tranquility but just in case you travel with sports fans. Check-in and check-out are very quick and efficient. Overall a good experience would recommend and return.

This was my 10th trip to Mexico. Needless to say, I love the country! The people, the history, the food, the weather - can't be beat. But the staff of the Azul Ixtapa Grand were wonderful! They always greeted me with a smile even when I tried to speak with them in my limited Spanish. The hotel is beautiful and meticulously maintained. Lots of choices for food but if you like Mexican fare, you'll love this spot.

The grounds were very well kept staff always cleaning. One of the friendliest resort staff we have ever experienced. If there was something that was not working or you had a question, they went and got someone who could fix or give you and answer. Guests that we talked to either have been going to this resort before or if it was their first time they would be back. Sunwing staff were always available to answer any questions. Check in staff were outstanding

Fantastic view. Super clean. Staff was top notch. 3 pools had everything you would want or need. Food was just ok. Your in Mexico you think they would know how to make Ceviche. Limited higher quality alcohol. No quality Rum just get standard Lot. Staff at Oyster Bar were not very polite compared to the rest of the restaurants. Quick and easy checkout and checkin.

We enjoyed our stay in Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort, all our expectations were fulfilled, we can plan to come back in a near future because as we use to say, when you are passing well, time flies, all of a sudden, it was over. Thank you.

Everything was perfect. Nice, clean room with jacuzzi, amazing view, good food, drinks, fast check in and check out, friendly staff... We really enjoyed our trip. We would like to go back in the future!

The hotel is very beautiful, but not very relaxing. It's a family resort now... not a place a Canadian couple who doesn't want kids running around at 10pm at the Sports Bar all "sugared up" from the boxes of cereal they take from the buffet. What it amounted to was parents not keeping their children under control. This was extremely disappointing as the resort has many beautiful areas. The "Infinity Pool" should just be called the "Kids Pool" as that's who's in it to the extent that you had a hard time accessing the pool. And will someone tell me how a kid can stay in the water and not go to the bathroom.... simply answer!!! Lastly in the Sports Bar they had the TV's... now the staff was friendly enough and found CBC so we could watch the hockey playoffs..... only problem was in the same sitting area to watch the game is 4.... count them 4 "fooze-ball" games. the noise and shouting from the locals was bad enough on 1 game but 4.... couldn't enjoy the evening. This hotel has no place for a quite drink and an area to play games in the evening. Too bad nice area.

Amazing hotel and staff. Huge rooms, clean and comfy. Great food..wish there were a few more options but honestly wasnt a huge deal. A la carte dining was fantastic! Private beach area and great pools. Will definitely return.

being a 5 star resort i was disappointed , overall the rooms were great and view was fantastic, best ocean view we have ever had. However the jets on the tub not working as well as the hot water in the sink, when reported nothing done. Food in buffet was terrible worst i have ever had, however in the restaurants excellent. No entertainment to be seen - lobey bar is combined with their sports bar and filled with kids every night. Beach was tiny and full of rocks. It used to be an adult only and now the adult only pool is at the side and away from the bars? infinity pool and pool bar filled with kids? would not go back

I found the rooms amazing. Exactly what the brochure describes, all ocean view spectacular. The food on the other hand I found the same every meal. Only 3 a la cartes with 1 being Mexican. They did have a osyter bar but it was off site and you had to make reservations for all meals offered. (breakfast,lunch or dinner). It stated in the brochure it was 18plus but there were childern allowed. The did have an adult only pool. You had to walk on the boardwalk to get to the beach, the beach in our area of resort was very rocky. Or you could walk across the street to the other public beach. Entertainment for evening shows weren’t up to par to what i have seen in other resorts. The staff though was very friendly and accommodating.

The hotel is very nice , modern amenities, very friendly staff, very good restaurants. The Lobby bar was trying to be too many things to everyone a sports bar , pool/ ping pong games room & live entertainment, could use a separate lounge area for the live entertainment. The buffet felt a little like a cafeteria but the food was always good. The pools are nice - love the infinity pool. Very limited beach if you want to walk along a beach it's not the right spot for you. Hotel rooms all have a great view - extremely spacious.

This is my second visit to this resort. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, all with spectacular views of the ocean. Fridge stocked with the beverages we requested. Prompt responses from housekeeping and the front desk for all requests. The food at the buffet was excellent (especially the Mexican and healthy choices). Our only complaint (which is minor but would have really enhanced our enjoyment) is the band in the lounge was very poor (played the exact same lousy music every evening). The only other issue is a Sunwing issue - we (and many other passengers) believed we were on a non-stop flight from Toronto to Ixtapa. We not only stopped in Manzanillo, but we deplaned, took our luggage, cleared customs and immigration, rechecked our bags and went through

The hotel was excellent everything from the rooms the service and the food. My only complaint would be that at 6pm they basically rolled up the carpets and turned out the lights outside. The lobby bar was open but everyone from newborn to ninety was in there. Also you should let people know that if you want to eat at the airport they need to do so before they go through security otherwise you have to go through there a second time.

This is a great place to stay great service great food great rooms the only thing is there is a lack of options off resort if this place was in Ixtapa it would be Fantastic. Also so people are aware there is basically no beach at this resort and the one real annoyance was there were no chairs and tables in the pool areas, not everyone wants to sit on broken sagged out loungers all day.

Just came back from The Azul Ixtapa Grand resort in Mexico. The word GRAND describes it well. From the moment we arrived on January 18 until we left January 25th we were treated like royalty. Our room 1515 was right in the centre and the view was amazing. Rooms are beautiful and HUGE. Our “maid”was Luis and he kept it spotless, along with daily towel decor. Gals that booked A La Carter’s for us worked hard to fulfill our requests and we were able to book them all on our first day! All restaurants were amazing, our favourite was the Asian and our least favourite was The Oyster. Buffet lacked choice but we never went hungry, soup was amazing. Bar staff always very pleasant and our waiters at the pool lovely. Adult pool lovely and quiet. Beach very dissapointing but two minutes to left of resort there was a nice one. Be sure to visit YELLOW tshirt massage ladies on the beach to your right, amazing is my only word. Where else can you get a head to toe hour long massage for approximately 16.00 dollars (200 pesos) bus into town runs regularly and the cost is 12 pesos. Lots and lots of stairs, however there are elevators to take you to all levels, only you have to change, just like a bus LOL. All in all very pleased with this resort and would definitely recommend it.

Service and cleanliness were off the charts. Food was always delicious, a la carte restaurants were above average. Sunset views were gorgeous from every room. The included activities were exceptional-more than we have ever experienced before at other resorts in Mexico.

Best infinity pool I have seen, easy check in, NO TIME SHARE sales or upgrade pressure! above average meals and selection. Lots of activities available and included with many great experiences nearby, diving, surfing, snorkeling, and more. Definitely on the list for a return trip in the future.

Rooms were big.Food was good.The best part if you like to go on trips and stay busy this is the place for you.Biking catamaran snorkelling kayaking and it's all included.Plenty of walking areas buses into town for 12 pesos.l rarely go to a resort where l would return but this place is an exception.

We loved our stay at the Azul Ixtapa Grand. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. Our room was spotless clean everyday. The rooms are spacious, large balcony and a huge shower. Plenty of large towels and facecloths were available everyday. The linens were nice. My only suggestion for improvement in the room would be better pillows. The gym is the nicest hotel gym I've ever used, it's amazingly equipped for a Mexican resort. The buffet restaurant was very good, breakfast was always consistently good as were the dinners we had there. The a la carte restaurants were very good too. The pool areas were all very nice and clean. The service poolside was always excellent. The bartender in the grotto was awesome. The snack bar always had a good selection of fresh food. The inifinity pool is amazing. It was a refreshing spot to cool off and the view from the pool is great. We enjoyed the bike tour and kayak tour to Ixtapa Island. It would be nice if we were allowed to take kayaks/bikes out on our own without a guide. We loved our long walks along Playa Linda which is about a 10 minute walk from the resort. The beach is beautiful and you can walk a long way. Loved the location. Staff at the resort were all very friendly.

Ala carte restaurants were fantastic .. The rooms were great and the maid service was just as good. The staff was always friendly and willing to help in any way. The pools were awesome and the view from the infinity pool was to die for. Overall, a great vacation !!

This hotel is beautiful from the moment you step in the lobby. Service was great, food was awesome .The A la carts are really nice fine dining. People are very friendly. Lots of excursions to do if you want to book them and a short bus ride to Ixtapa for some shopping.

Great Service ! And the Infinity Pool makes the place. OH and the waterfall and swim up BAR. Restaurants are OK. Setting is great !! Nice getaway for couples. Other guests were amazingly friendly.

I highly recommend this resort. The grounds are beautiful, excellent service , fabulous staff and the food in the a la cartes is amazing. I only have two cons : The buffet food is ok at best, not ever hot and not appealing. Avoid when possible. Book the Oyster Bar for breakfast and Mexican and Oyster Bar for lunches. The second is the room allotment. We travelled here last year and had the same issues. You can request a King bed but are told that it is decided upon check in. This is not really true as they have the envelopes all ready made up. Last year we requested a king and got the "mexican doubles" the first night. The resort was helpful and moved us the next day. This year I requested a king thru Trip Central and sent an email direct to hotel but yet again was disappointed to be given a "mexican double" (they say queen but not really)yet again. Our travel companions had done the same but both years got the king they requested??? The hotel is very helpful and does accomodate the changes the next day but why is a king not available upon check in at 10 pm but available by 10am the next day?? After a long day of travelling this is not the best way to start your trip. Changes need to be made to this system.

Beautiful resort with lots of things for the kids to do. Everyone was very friendly. The food was excellent. Activities for kids were well done. Must go see Ixtapa Island right across from the resort. We would definitely go again.

I have never stayed at a resort that was this clean, meals were this good and the activities were so great. The mount of staff on sight is amazing. Courteous, always smiling and easy to communicate with. Definitely on our list of resorts to visit again.

Loved this resort. Rooms are wonderful, clean spacious comfortable beds and a most excellent walk in closet and shower. Food AMAZING! Never a bad meal. Al a cartes were a great treat every night... beautiful presentation. Pools were great and service around the pools were great even if you didn't tip all the time. The service everywhere was excellent. Beach was small but beaches on each side of resort were large and beautiful and short walk also to market and access to Ixtapa island which was a pleasure to visit. Hotel provided many things to do for free including guided kayak and snorkeling, biking tour and a bit of sailing. So you didn't even have to go far to enjoy the surrounding area. The night entertainment in our resort was lacking and a bit loud but all in all it did what it needed to do you could venture to sister hotel Azul to take in the dancers and such if you liked. We would totally recommend this resort to anyone. Big or small. The kids can go to sister hotel to enjoy the water slides and such. It is a hidden treasure and we would love to go back someday.

We just got back from Azul grand resort and let me tell you we had a great time. The rooms were nice and clean and big. (the only thing is that if you go with a buddy there no privacy cause the rooms are like open concept) but it was ok for us cause it was me and our young kids. The food was great and the service was amazing. We did a la carte every day except for the last day we did buffet. The grounds were very nice kept up and there was always some cleaning. The swimming pools were nice and clean and heated too. We go away a lot and I can't remember seen a life guard in every swimming pool which was great cause we had kids. Over all this was a great resort. Worth every penny.

This was the perfect place for a holiday with my two adult daughters. Of course, the weather is always perfect in Mexico at this time of year. But the hotel, as well, was great. The rooms were very comfortable. The food was delicious. The staff were wonderful. And it was great to be able to sit at a pool without children.

We had the best time at this resort. Service was over the top! Rooms incredible being so spacious with a million dollar view. So clean, comfortable beds and great location. No complaints what so ever. I also want to acknowledge our booking agent as she was very professional, helpful and accommodating.

We just spent eight days and seven nights at this lovely resort. It was a girls trip full of relaxation and enjoyment . Ixtapa weather is perfect and guaranteed in the winter. Not only did we have sunshine every day- there was not a single cloud nor a single raindrop during our stay. . Azul Grand Ixtapa was a wonderful resort with amazing service, delicious food and everything you could possibly need in a vacation. We would go back in a New York minute !!

This hotel was by far one of the best (if not the best) hotel we have stayed in Mexico,all inclusive hotels. The only negative was that the beach was too small and not very sandy. Also, not any interesting sight seeing in close proximity.

Spacious rooms, clean and beautiful views. Good sized balcony , walk in closet. Maid service daily with special floral effects on the bed. All staff friendly and helpful. A la Carte restaurants were fabulous and buffet adequate as you can find something you will enjoy as everything is prepared well. Nightly live entertainment in the lobby bar and dinner shows and fiesta for those who enjoy this type of entertainment.

Beautiful room with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Beach was small but adjacent beach was great. A la carte restaurants were very good. Improvement could be made to the buffet as selection was limited and resembled a cafeteria atmosphere and décor. Staff were courteous and hard working. Shows were above average in comparison to other all inclusives.

First time here with not much expectation after last Mexican trip at a 5 star south of Cancun. Pleasantly surprised by the excellent service, great food and the friendliest staff ever encountered in Mexico. Every bartender, server, cleaner, bellboy, activity and desk staff were so friendly I thought we had tipped them 100+ pesos each in advance per service. Food was also excellent, but please don't opt for the Oyster Bar breakfast due to the morning wasps it attracts. Best a la Cartès were; Oyster Bar seafood dinner (no wasps), Oriental and Mexican. Best surprise of all was the lack of pushy timeshare salespeople and the excellent personal on site attention given by the resort manager and each restaurant manager. This is a compact resort, built upwards thus minimal walking but has a great elevator system for the mobility challenged. We will definitely come back. NB- be sure to walk to the pier and take the water taxi time Ixtapa island. Only 40 pesos each return for a day of great snorkeling, swimming and friendly beach front bars/cafes. Rooms are modern and well maintained with quality granite-marble work and free good fast Wi-Fi included for each room. Also, try to request a room on the left half of the building (looking toward the ocean) for the best ocean views and magnificent sunsets.

The Grand Azul was wonderful new and clean, we loved the room service snd the salt water pools were awesome! Only the buffet lacked, a nice turkey of roast of porky or beef would be wonderful for the buffet for dinner!

SERVICE, fantastic. Unlike the Dominican, staff do not expect tips and when they receive them, they are very appreciative. HOTEL AMENITIES, fantastic. CLEANLINESS, perfect. Three Pools make up for lack of beach but public beach in walking distance that was also perfect. FOOD, a la carte out of this world, buffet was good. ENTERTAINMENT, original and always changing.

This was one of the best hotels and resorts I have ever stayed at. Would highly recommend to anyone, and already have. Other vacationer who were at same resort were already looking at booking towards end of the year. I may as well!

This resort experience it was an amazing one. My family had an exceptional time and we really didn't have any complaints. The service from all the people that worked there was top notch. The à la carte restaurants were great, the buffet was decent, the grounds were very clean, the rooms were great, and the location was beautiful. The beach is not the best for swimming but the fact that you can use Beaches to either side of the resort was great. The only thing that was difficult during our stay was finding lounge chairs around the pools at times.

Overall, our recent visit to the Azul Ixtapa Grand was very good. Here are some hotel pros and cons… Pro: - The rooms…very large, up to date and kept immaculately clean. - The views…all ocean view, perfect sunsets - The Staff…everyone was cordial and very helpful - The Grounds…beautiful Cons: - Dining…food not consistent. A la carte restos lacked ambience, overly bright lighting. Main dining room feels like a cafeteria. Colour scheme/furniture like a Mall food court. - No beach - A la carte restaurant reservation process… tiresome, line ups. - Poolside chair "holds"…altho' not permitted, people reserved chairs EARLY am every day.

General Manager: Edgar...outstanding as a top GM as well runs a smooth resort with an outstanding team of staff members; Comfort: top notch; Accessibility: outstanding and easy access everywhere (elevators go to each level of pool and beach area); facilities: excellent; Restaurants (a la carte: fabulous along with terrific staff); overall experience: 9 guests for birthday trip was by far one of our best travel experiences. Thank you to the Azul Grand and to Edgar for making this a memorable vacation!

The amenities in the hotel are fabulous and the robes and slippers included in the room are a nice touch. The restaurants were amazing and such wonderful meals. The buffet was not the best but always could find something to eat. Weather was amazing and everyone was very friendly. Loved this vacation!

We l9ved this resirt!! it is our favorite all inclusive ever. The rooms were clean and beatigul. wonderful view with large balcony.the food was delicious,drinks were grest, service was amazing. the activities included were top notch and the area and resort felt very safe.

The hotel was very clean and well maintained. Three pools, one was adult only, with service for the bar. The infinity pool overlooks the ocean and the view is breathtaking. Wonderful, immediate service by very accommodating staff. What a fabulous vacation resort!!

The grounds, pools, restaurants, and especially the room was excellent. The service we received was top notch, and the people providing the service were pleasant and very helpful. The food for the most part was very good.

I came to this resort with 8 girlfriends - the entire hotel is immaculate from the main floor, throughout the pool area and the rooms - the staff are right on top of taking care of the entire resort. All the restaurants are different with their own unique ambiance and all the staff do everything they can to make each restaurant a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience - including breakfasting out at the boardwalk with a spectacular view of Ixtapa Island. The entire staff are ready to meet the requests and needs of each hotel guest - this outstanding attitude towards service seems to trickle down from the Hotel Manager, Front Desk Manager, room service, pool service and all dining services provided in restaurants and main dining areas. I am a returning guest, would definitely recommend this resort to all and look forward to returning in the future.

Loved this resort. The grounds and Pools were beautiful, very clean and well maintained. The staff were outstanding. Rooms were gorgeous and very clean. We were celebrating 3 birthdays and the management decorated each of the rooms with flowers, balloons and lovely pastry including birthday candles, 2 lovely tropical drinks, oh yes, and a book of matches. REALLY Impressive. They also had great security and lifeguards at both the beach and pools. Hats off to The Azul Ixtapa Grand!

Firstly the staff were sincere kind helpful and accommodating. I was impressed with room, grounds and cleanliness. The beach was incredible and well groomed. Pools clean and stunning I came home and trying to figure out how and when I can come back again.

The only issue with the resort was that there was little to no beach in front of the hotel. What beach was there was rocky and rough. You could move to the next beach and swim but a short walk was required. The staff did everything possible to please and accommodate the guest.

The views and sunsets are great from all the rooms. The balconies are spacious and the rooms are clean and large and well maintained. Our Maid was Olivia and she did a great job of keeping coffee in the room, as well as keeping it clean. Our waiters and bartenders also did a great job, I remember Xavier and Victor in particular, as well as waiters Carolos and Joel. We did the Troncone Turtle Tour and it was also a wonderful experience with a great tour guide...Mauricio. The food is good even though the buffet isn't as large as some. I also like the close proximity to Ixtapa Island taxis and Playa Linda.

The hotel was spotless,staff very accommodating,food was great unbelievably relaxing.no time share hassles. Beautiful scenery and view.locals very friendly.few beach vendors. Lots to see and do. We will definitely be returning.

My wife and I have been to Mexico and different parts for years, this was our first trip to Ixtapa. Every room faces the bay and a popular Island is directly across from the resort. The rooms themselves are very large and beautiful. The resort is very clean, staff is very friendly and you don't have to get up at 4am to get a chair around the pool. The worse part of the trip is the airline, Sunwing sucks. After a 7 hour delay leaving unannounced until the last minute, an aborted 1st attempt landing , very hard 2nd landing. The return flight was even worse with the take out aborted as we began our take off as the was a snow truck in front of us. We are already planning on going back, but see if Westjet flys there :-)

spacious rooms, free wifi (which is great) - only issues are would prefer not to need towel cards and a bit more variety for the meals. Also - most "fun" area in the pools was off-limits to kids (cave pool-bar)

The management did everything possible to enhance out stay at this resort - I have been staying at 'all inclusive' resorts since 1994 and have never had such outstanding customer service - the resort layout is very well planned with 3 pools and an elevator system to access all pools - this is very unique and brilliantly planned out - with full access to bathrooms on pool levels. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, roomy and kept immaculately clean along with full ocean views - the balconies were very spacious and we enjoyed the feature of being able to eat our breakfast every day on the balcony of our room. This is something I have never been able to do at an all-inclusive resort. This hotel and the outstanding 'people care' that was given to us is definitely worth returning to (something I never do) - I always go somewhere new every year - but want to bring all my girlfriends - 8 of us have been going to an all inclusive every year for the past 14 years and I can't wait to bring the group here - one of the girl's in our group is handicapped and this will definitely be a 'no brainer' for her.

We stayed at Azul Ixtapa Jan I5 -22 -15. What a great resort staff both at the front desk and the rest of the resort went over and above to help us out. the food was very good with lots of selection both with Mexican and international dishes. The beach was great ,not much surf which was good for some of our party that couldn't swim.People selling stuff on the beach all respected the (no gracias) with out hesitation and were very helpfull when we wished to purchase items.The crocs and wildlife at the ecological park were well looked after and a great attraction for everyone.All in all this is one of the best all around resorts we have visited, this is our 6th trip to mexico.

The rooms, pools and service were awesome. There isn't much of a beach, but the infiniy pool overlooking the ocean is a nice compromise. The buffet for breakfast is great with lots of fruit and an omelet station. However it is rather limited for lunch and dinner unless you like heavy foods. I would have like more grilled fish and more fresh veggies for salads as they were very limited. The ala cart restaurants were wonderful.

Ala cart food was very good however we found the buffet food to be cold and needing more choices. The infinity pool is great, cold getting in but refreshing, beach was small but nice and the rooms are amazing.

Hotel was nice and the food was good. There were lots of very friendly families there to talk to. I love to swim and the pools were very nice. The staff didn't speak much English at all. They told me they used to be trained to speak English but the hotel stopped doing it. Hard to communicate with staff unless they were management. Getting punched in the back of the head and then 2 guy's punching me from all angles as i pleaded for them to stop and for help got me nowhere except another 20 seconds of punches. I did nothing wrong and still don't even know why i was beat up. I am the most friendliest non violent person. I ended up with a mild concussion and the next day was given the option to change hotels to Azul Ixtapa and leave the Grand which was much nicer. My new room unfortunately was right under one of the bar areas which was extremely loud. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Trip Central and Sunwing were great tho.

Hotel was Beautiful - clean, spacious, staff was very friendly and always ready to serve food drinks with a smile! Book your activities and resturants early in your trip - Oyster Bar at 6:00 pm sunset dinner is a must!! Beach is natural setting not large - visit the Azul Beach Club for beach and ocean fun! Take the boat or kayak to the island for a snorkel day - worth the ride!!

We loved the hotel. Rooms were fabulous, gorgeous pools and grounds. The food as good in the buffet as well as the specialty restaurants. The only place where we found servie a bit slow was in the bar in the evening.

Best resort that I have ever stayed at , the rooms are amazing , the service and staff are second to none ! I will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for great winter getaway ! Thanks for the memories !

Almost stayed another week! Room was beautiful - tours were fun. Kids loved it. Staff friendly. Beach next door was long and sandy. Hotel beach not very big or useable. Crocodiles within walking distance. Entertaining shows. Bus to town outside hotel. Massages down the beach - 20$ each. Kids waterpark not at this hotel but able to go to neighbour hotel. It is enclosed so parents either go in or stand and watch. Only went once. Our hotel was nicer. Good kids club.

The hotel was prestigious. The restaurants and food was fantastic. Impeccable service. The grounds were clean and very well kept. Will definitely go again and recommend this resort to all. Maids and all staff were very pleasant and professional. Great value for the money.

There are many things to rave about when it comes to this resort. Each room has an awesome view as all the rooms face the ocean. Its fairly new so very clean. Decor is very modern. The infinity pool and swim up bar behind the waterfall are the place to be. Food by the pool is great. Buffet lunches were ok. Restaurants were good. Not much of a beach, but you can walk over the sister resort and enjoy the beach there. Walk further past the pier and there is an even nicer public beach to enjoy and walk along.

The hotel and facilities were incredible. The rooms had every amenity you could think off, were large, spacious and modern. A small mini bar in the room was nice but it would have been nice to have a bit better selection. The service was excellent, very friendly staff and the Mexican restaurant was outstanding.. The pool service was the best I have ever had.. The only suggestion would be to enhance the buffet. The selections were minimal. I will definitely be back and would re comment this to anyone
